A Facebook user, Olufemi Olanrewaju who shared these photos identified the school to be Oke Odo Junior College in Abule Egba, Oke-odo LCDA, LAgos state.
He wrote:

Preparations for Carnival Calabar, Africa’s biggest street party kicked off on Sunday with Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade and Minister for Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed flagging off the first in a series of dry runs for the year.
Speaking at the Millennium park, Calabar, venue of the flag off which attracted an array of carnival revelers and spectators alike from within and outside the the Federal Government will do all it can to help the state take the carnival to higher heights.
The Minister who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Deaconess Grace Isu Gekpe said: “We are ready to work with you to ensure we take Calabar Carnival from where it is to higher grounds and I want to see all Nigerian made products being promoted through this platform because that is the policy of President Mohammadu Buhari’s administration.”
According to Mohammed, “let us have some Nigerian fabrics infused into our costumes and I know we will be able to patronise the producers of these products so that they will all be empowered.”

A 68-year-old magician, identified as Lim Ba has accidentally killed himself after a steaming act during the Nine Emperor God prayer session at a Chinese temple in Kuala Sanglang, Kedah, went horribly wrong.
Lim Ba sat on a large wok for around 30 minutes with fire underneath in Nine Emperor God prayer session at a Chinese temple in Kuala Sanglang, Kedah when the incident happened.
Devotees removed the cover after they heard knocks from inside the wok. They quickly removed it find him lying unconscious inside. Footage of him convulsing while people try to get him away from the heat was widely shared on social media.
By the time the ambulance arrived the self-professed magic man had stopped breathing and was later declared dead. He died from heart failure and massive second-degree burns.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, The Founder of Omega Power Ministries, reportedly rejected a Rolls Royce he was presented as a birthday gift presented to him recently.
In a post shared on their Facebook page, the clergyman asked the donors of the luxury car to give him the money used in buying the luxury car so he can build more schools for the less privilege. The post read;

Inyang David, a 100 level student of Mechanical Engineering of the Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH) and a nursing mother were killed, Tuesday, when a high-tension cable fell on the roof of their building at 14 Adak Uko Street in Calabar on Monday night.
The landlord of the building, Mr Obo, said the cable had always been falling in the past, but not on the roof. He said this time was the first time it fell on the roof and caused a fire that razed the building and killed the two people.
He said the affected building had 12 tenants. He said since the incident occurred nobody from the fire service or the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company had shown up.
A friend of the deceased student, Mr Tolale Prince Harmony, reiterated that the cable had been falling several time in the past and the PHEDC office in Calabar had been approached severally to do something about it, but they kept referring the residents to Port Harcourt.
“They keep directing the people to call Port Harcourt. I am wondering, what does Port Harcourt have to do with this? I don’t understand. During the fire, they called the fire service and they said no water, no imprest, nothing to run.
I don’t understand this. The cable fell on the building. And caused a fire that killed Inyang David and killed another lady, who just gave birth, and did child dedication just two Sundays ago.”

Some 300 Level students of the Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, were thrown out of their hostel, after they engaged in a fight with some IJMB students.
According to reports, trouble started, last night, after an IJMB student accused a 300 Level student of splashing water on her while having her bath.
The victim later went to mobilize her friends and there was a shouting match, with the 300 Level students being called prostitutes.
It later degenerated into a fight, following a slap from an IJMB student. The matter was eventually reported to the hostel porter who indicted the 300 Level students and had them thrown out of the hostel by the supervisor.

Aarinola Olaiya has broken a 28 year old record at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, as she is graduating with 12 distinctions, and also emerging the 2017 overall best student from the Medical school of the University.
She will thus become the first person to graduate with distinction in Surgery from OAU since 1989.
In an interview with Punchng, She revealed what inspired the feat.
Olaiya said:
“I really cannot explain it.
What I can say is that the grace of God has been at work from my first day in the university. Apart from that, I am a focused person. I always like to have a goal in mind and I make sure that I focus on that goal without giving room to distractions. .
I think this is what happened. Right from the day I was admitted into the university, I made sure that I remained focused in my studies.
On her daily routine as an undergraduate, she said:
“Every day, I would wake up, have my bath and attend lectures. .
I usually go to the classroom in the morning. Sometimes, I would attend a lecture at 8am till about 4pm. Then I would return to my hostel to have some rest and attend to other things or proceed on call.
Sometimes I would stay on call till the following day. Basically my daily routine was like that.”
On her relationship life, she said:
“Yes. I have a boyfriend, but I never allowed him to come between me and my studies.
He does not live in Ile-Ife. So he visits me in school sometimes. Most of the time, we communicate to each other via the telephone.”
Sunday Oduntan, the Research and Advocacy Executive Director of the Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors has suggested that public officers responsible for providing power should be banned from using generators.
He made the call when he spoke with reporters in Lagos on Tuesday, saying that the measure was necessary to compel public officers to live up to expectations in doing their jobs.
According to him, top government functionaries, including the minister of power, Babatunde Raji Fashola and other agencies in the power sector should be disallowed from using generators at their homes and offices to make them find lasting solution to the endemic power problem.
He said:
“I believe that Nigeria has reached a point when all of us, including investors in the power sector should be banned from using generators.
If the minister of power, permanent secretary and investors in the power sector are banned from using generators, I believe we will come together and fix the problem once and for all.
My personal opinion is that as long as we continue to have alternatives to this problem, power failure will persist.”
A single mother of one, identified as Olubunmi Funke disclosed on Tuesday that she sold her 3-year-old daughter to enable her offset a crippling debt burden.
According to her, she sold her daughter to one Abibat Oyesanya, a member of child trafficking ring who promised her that she would be allowed to visit her daughter once in three months.
Funke who said she even took to prostitution to raise money to pay the debt when her husband sent her away from matrimonial home, added the syndicate who allegedly specialized in child stealing and kidnapping in South West, bought the little girl off her for N280,000.
She disclosed this to reporters at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran where she was paraded along with two other women, Abibat Oyesanya, Morenike Shittu in connection with trading in children.
She said:
“I gave out my three year old daughter to Abibat Oyesanya who is into local adoption business. But she promised me that I would be allowed to visit my daughter once in three month.
“I am a prostitute. I engaged in prostitution after my first husband sent me packing. So, I decided to give out my daughter to woman who gave me N280, 000. I used the money to offset my debt.
“The woman also requested for more children based on more demands for those adopting children. That is why I kidnapped the baby girl in Bodija, Ojurin, Ibadan, and brought it to the woman.”

The report of the Directorate of Public Prosecution has revealed that Davido might not be totally free over his alleged involvement in the death Tagbo Umeike.
In a report by PMExpress, details of the DPP information was made public by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Imohinmi Edgal who revealed that the file of the outcome of the investigation was duplicated and sent to DPP for advice and they have sent their advice.
Edgal stated that the DPP report advised that more investigations should be carried out on the matter to determine the involvement of the whole suspects on the matter which he said the police was still working on.
As a result, the CP Edgal has ordered further investigations on Davido and his aides over the circumstance that led to the death of late Umeike.
The police boss said the re-invitation of Davido had to do with fresh facts that he denied; that he did not know who took the deceased to the Island General Hospital and dumped him there.
Edgal said that Davido needed to explain why he denied knowing who took the deceased to the hospital, whereas he was the person that directed his driver and escort to take the deceased to the hospital and abandon him there.
The CCTV camera footage showed the vehicles that brought the deceased to the hospital and the police boss said that the same vehicle was traced to Davido’s house at Lekki Phase one.
The autopsy report carried out by the doctors showed that the late Tagbo died of suffocation. The CCTV at the joint where they hung out together captured the deceased taking huge volume of alcohol and was with Davido and their friends.
The investigation is expected to take a longer period before a conclusive report can be released.
Model and actress, Amber Rose has disclosed that she makes sure she gets down with her boyfriend, 21 Savage every day. She says this in a new interview with TMZ, though she’s probably at least half-joking.

A female operator of a commercial tricycle popularly called ‘Keke NAPEP’, Mrs. Christiana Augustine, says it is no longer an exclusive preserve of men to make a living from operating a tricycle.
Augustine, who holds a degree in project management from the Federal University of Science and Technology Owerri, said on Tuesday in Abakaliki that her desire to become self-reliant was her motivation.
The mother of three called on other women to embrace the business, saying they could also make their own contributions towards their families’ upkeep by embarking on it.
According to her, women only need self-confidence, discipline and zeal to work hard to make their mark in the society as tricycle operators.
“My husband initially objected my involvement in the venture but I persisted to be given a chance to engage in the venture and he was later convinced.
“We are presently happy with the decision because I compliment his earnings and generally support in the family upkeep with proceeds from the keke business,” she said.
She said the involvement of many more women in the venture was only a matter of time, expressing her resolve to promote the lucrativeness of the venture to women.
Augustine pointed out that “gone was the era of relying on men for their basic requirements and getting white collar jobs on a platter of gold.
“I graduated with a degree in project management from the Federal University of Science and Technology Owerri but decided to engage in the business to be self-reliant.
“The tricycle was actually a birthday gift from my husband and I offered it to a young graduate for commercial purposes but he later returned it to me.
“I leased it to another person and when he became insincere with returns, I decided to use it myself for the Keke business,” she said.
Augustine explained that she does not operate the tricycle during odd hours no matter the situation or the number of passengers available on the road.
“My business does not affect my responsibilities towards my family as I plan my daily activities not to clash with those of my business,” she said.
A regular commuter, Ms Ifeoma Ojigwe, commended Augustine’s initiative and zeal to eke out a living in the sector in view of the high rate of unemployment in the country.
“I will consider toeing this line if I don’t get employment after my National Youth Service 2018,” she said.
Another operator, Mr. Abel Ijeaku, said he was impressed with Augustine’s attitude of being self-reliant, expressing his support for her move to attract many more women into the business.
“We also ensure that she is not intimidated by unscrupulous males in the business as her involvement in the venture automatically makes her one of us,” he said.

Nigerian Senator, Dino Melaye has described Head of State, President Buhari as a good man surrounded by cankerworms and caterpillars.
The Senator made the remark during plenary while members of the Senate were discussing the reinstatement and sack of wanted former pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina.
Dino says the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, who has been indicted in Maina’s reinstatement, has brought nothing but disgrace to the Buhari-led administration.
“It is pathetic. I want to ask this question to the executive; should we continue in sin and ask grace to abound? Time after time, the AGF and minister of justice has abuse dthis office. We are not talking about Maina. We should talk about the integrity of the AGF and minister of justice. If the law officer has his hands stained then the entire nation is one a stained. Mr President is a good man and he means well but he is surrounded by cankerworms and caterpillars. We should have the audacity to take strong decisions. Some weeks back, a lady with the name Lyrnda Onwuali went viral after she made a post on Facebook calling out her husband accusing him of being abusive and revealed that he is financially dependent on her.

I’d like to sincerely apologize to my husband OKPOEBO CHIDOZIE, the father of my own son, Ryan Somtochukwu Chibuike; my pride, my strength, and my heartbeat & to ask him to please forgive me for that momentary madness, for letting the devil have his moment . I’d also like to ask for the forgiveness of my ever-loving mum, brothers, sisters, very highly genuine friends, especially #Ebenebe Chinedu* *sobs* and my pastor for disappointing them so badly but more importantly, I want to thank yall for the moral support, sound advice and fervent prayers y’all offered. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Edo State have arrested about 25 women for dealing in drugs. The arrested women were among 86 people apprehended for the offence, including a Malian national.
The Edo State commander of NDLEA, Buba Wakawa said the arrests took place between July and September this year. The agency said 2,930 kg of hard drugs were seized and 46.8 hectares of marijuana farms destroyed.
The farms were estimated to be producing 217,414 kg of cannabis. According to him, a breakdown of the seized drugs are: cannabis (2,929.6 kg), Tramadol (159 grammes), Swino (4 grammes), Vegha (26 grammes), Codeine (29 grammes) and Heroin (20 grammes).
Two vehicles and motorcycles included items recovered from suspects.
Wakawa said the NDLEA recorded a breakthrough with the prosecution of one Obiora Nkemokonam. He was reportedly sentenced to 10 months imprisonment for possessing 20 kg of cannabis.
