Anthony Joshua beats Carlos Takam by TKO to retain world heavyweight titles.

Anthony Joshua beats Carlos Takam

Anthony Joshua defended his Heavyweight title after he defeated Carlos Takam. The fight was stopped albeit controversially by the referee in the 10th round.

Anthony Joshua beats Carlos Takam

He had this to day after the match.

“I have no interest in what’s going on with the officials,” Joshua says during his in-ring interview. “I just worry about my opponent. Unfortunately, the ref stopped it. I think people wanted to see Takam unconscious on the floor, am I right?

“He was getting there. I didn’t have control over the ref’s decision. We get the win and now we look forward to 2018.”

Thank you Cardiff in coming. Not my job to worry about the referee it is my job to break my opponent down round by round. I think people want to see Takam unconscious on the ground, am I right? (Crowd cheers) And that was the point I was trying to get to. But I cannot control the referee.

Anthony Joshua beats Carlos Takam

He comes down and bobs up, like Holyfield. This is a championship, if I had not been able to breathe… then it would have been a massive disaster. But if I had showed any weakness the referee might have stepped in. That’s what the ref did to him, he jumped in early.

It feels broken. My plans now? To get my nose cracked back into place, for starters.

Anthony Joshua beats Carlos Takam

I cannot fight Joe Bloggs from nowhere. I have obligations. Once I have done them I will fight anyone. My door is open to all challengers.

It’s note my decision what happens outside the ring.

16 year old 100 level student of OAU commits suicide over poor grades

16 year old 100 level student

Mercy Olamide Afolaranmi, a student of Microbiology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has committed suicide.

According to the school’s Chief Security Officer, Babatunde Oyatokun, Miss Afolaranmi, poisoned herself. Students and a neighbour close to the deceased also said she killed herself due to poor grade.

“We got a call that one of our students took poison,” Mr. Oyatokun said. “We got to hospital to realise that she mixed rat poison. She gave us the contact of her parents but before they arrived, she already gave up due to the effect of the poison she took.”

A neighbour, Bimpe Oni, in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES, said Miss Afolaranmi, who lived off-campus at Sabo area of Ile-Ife, died on Thursday, after she took “rat poison mixed with battery extract.”

Mrs. Oni said the late student committed suicide because of “emotional pressure.” A student, Aisha, who was Miss Afolaranmi’s colleague in the Faculty of Science, said the deceased had ‘E’ in CHM101 (Chemistry for first year students), a reportedly dreaded course for year one students in the science and technology related faculties.

“Mercy often isolated herself in class and looked depressed,” said Aisha. “She told me she had ‘E’ in CHM101 and has been going around unhappy before this incident.” Another student in the Faculty of Student, Opeyemi, said “she took poison because of result.”

The school’s Dean of Students’ Affairs, Isiaka Aransi, also confirmed the news. “Although the reason and cause of her death is yet to be known, the division is aware of the death of Mercy,” she said.

Before her death, on October 10, she posted on Facebook that: “Above all other things, I just wanna see God, see what He looks like, speak with Him face to face. I don’t wanna miss heaven. LORD HELP ME.”

Finally, you can now unsend WhatsApp messages…

How many times have you fired off a WhatsApp message only to be hit by that sudden, terrifying thought – ‘I really shouldn’t have sent that’. Well at last there’s a solution.

After months of development WhatsApp have started rolling out the Delete for Everyone feature, which allows you to recall messages after you’ve sent them. This applies to text messages, gifs, video, pictures… pretty much anything you can send on WhatsApp, however it must be done within seven minutes of sending the message.

How to recall messages on WhatsApp The much anticipated feature is easy to use. Simply highlight the message you wish you didn’t send, select Delete from the menu and then hit Delete for Eveyone. It’s only available to certain users at the moment and only on the latest version of WhatsApp, so head over to the App Store and download all those updates you’ve been continually putting off.

WhatsApp say the feature will be useful if your message ‘contains a mistake’, but we all know the new feature will really have three functions:

1. Damage control when you accidentally post a message to the group chat slagging someone off.
2. Letting you backtrack from a risky message to someone you’re flirting with.
3. The last line of defence when you accidentally send a message about last weekend’s illicit behaviour to your mother.

However, the people you are messaging can still see the message before you delete it (WhatsApp can’t delete things from people’s brains, after all), and even if you manage to recall a message before the other person returns to their phone, they will still be able to see ‘This message was deleted’.

WhatsApp will also let you know if the recall wasn’t successful, just so you know if you need to send a grovelling apology message or not.

The forthcoming marriage between Chima Madueke and his fiancée, Chioma Christopher has been stalled after Chioma was docked and sent to prison for allegedly stealing some dollars kept inside Chima’s elder sister house.

The incident happened at Ben Bright Street in Ago Okota, Lagos where Chima’s elder sister, Rachel reside with her husband, Living stone.

According to P.M.EXPRESS, the incident happened barely one month after the couple and their family had concluded plans for the traditional marriage and church wedding back home in Anambra State.

It was alleged that Chima sent Chioma to his elder sister, Rachel from Onitsha in Anambra to Lagos to conclude plans for their wedding as agreed by both family.

When Chioma got to Rachel’s house, she was given free access to enter into their rooms including their bedroom.

Rachel was said to have sent Chioma to their bedroom fridge for her to bring out the meat which they will use to cook. When she got there, she was said to have stolen one thousand six hundred dollars ($1,600) that Rachel’s husband had kept inside the fridge and went away.

However, the theft was exposed when she went to change the money at a local bureau de change in the street. She was shortchanged and given fake dollars which resulted in altercation between her and the operator of the local bureau de change.

When Rachel’s husband later returned from work and looked for the money, he did not find it. He asked around and Chioma then confessed taking it, claiming that she did not know what came over her to steal the money.

She was handed over to the police at Ago Division and she was charged before Isolo Magistrates court for stealing. She pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Adedayo granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.

Babcock University spends N20 million on Electricity monthly – Vice Chancellor

Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof Ademola S. Tayo has stressed the importance of quality in the running of the institution.

He said the university was not-for-profit, hence its provision for work study programme, endowment funds, among other initiatives, to assist indigent students’ access to quality education.

Prof Tayo, who spoke during a visit to Matori, Lagos State Head Office of The Nation newspaper said: “One of our core values is excellence and we would not compromise. But at the same time, because of the philosophy of quality education, we introduced the work-study programme whereby the indigent but diligent students would use their hands to work so that they can augment part of the fees needed to fund their education.

“They work in the cafeteria, library, etc. They get paid and that has helped many of them. We also have parents’ consultative forum where parents partner with management, so that we have a pool of funds that children who lose their parents while in school can have access to, in order to fulfill their dreams.

“We also have the ‘adopt a child scholarship’ where we reach out to our host community. Also, we serve as guarantor for parents to access loans for their children’s education. But most importantly, we believe in frugality. Our university is not-for-profit. Nobody shares one naira. It is ploughed back to make the system work better.”

The vice chancellor, who was accompanied by the institution’s management team noted that the institution was being funded solely with earnings from its bakery, Guest House, water factory and other industries, with only two per cent subsidy from its proprietor, The Seventh Day Adventist Church. He added that the university spent about N20 million monthly on electricity.

Prof Tayo noted that the university’s fees were not too high for the services provided, “as it runs 24-hour power supply and the fees also cover tuition, accommodation, laboratory, among other expenses.”

He said the institution will be graduating its pioneer medical students in December, informing that the students have completed their various degrees.

The Medical School, according to him, was establised in 2012.

He said: “One of the areas of excellence that we want to carve a niche in this country is in the area of medicine, which we started in 2012. We have our accreditations from the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and National Universities Commission (NUC), International Board of Education, National Postgraduate College and the West African College of Physicians. This December, we will turn out our first graduates in the medical school. They have completed their clinical rotation in India.”

Managing Director of The Nation, Mr Victor Ifijeh pledged the organisation’s support for the educational development of the nation, while stressing the organisation’s dedication to objectivity, fairness, integrity and balanced reports.

He lauded Babcock University for its achievements in the education sector, and its swift rise to global standards.

Responding, Prof Tayo acknowledged The Nation for her growth in its ten years of existence noting that “The Nation is a force to reckon with. Your newspaper is always at the forefront. We want to thank God for the role you have played in shaping the public opinion by your accuracy and the way your news are reported”

Policeman abducts and rapes 14-year-old girl for 6 days in Anambra state

Policeman abducts

According to reports, a policeman attached to the Anambra State Police Command, has been accused of abducting and raping a 14-year-old for 6 days.

Identified as Barau Garba, the Anambra Policeman reportedly abducted and raped a 14-year-old child sent on an errand by her father, for 6 days.

It was gathered that the girl who lost the money given to her by her father to buy round cotton, was approached by Barau as she tried identifying the car she boarded. Tests carried out at Federal Medical Center, Asaba confirms there was indeed a penetration.

Facebook user, Ismaila Gambo Arabo who shared the story wrote;

“ABDUCTED AND RAPED FOR SIX DAYS BY A ROUGE NIGERIAN POLICE MAN.

Maryam Yusuf was just 14years old, an indigene of Kano state living with her parents in Asaba, Delta state. She does attend Islamic school in cable area known as Hausa quarters in Asaba, Delta state.

Maryam was sent by her father to Onitsha form Asaba on 14th of October 2017 to buy round cotton but unlucky for her she lost the money while on transit.

During her efforts to identify the vehicle she boarded, while standing by the road side, she was approached by one corporal Barau Garba (mopol) with service number 275601 from MOPOL 7 Sokoto state who was on a special duty in Anambra, his team were attached with OKPOKO police divisional headquarters, Onitsha.

The rouge police corporal approached the teenage girl asking her of what happened, as the small girl explained to him how she lost her money on transit and her need to go back home, the police man Barau Garba deceived her by asking her to join him on his motorcycle so that he can take her back home.

Instead of taking the teenage girl back home to her parents safely, this Nigerian police corporal decided to abduct her and took her to a temporary police base and locked her up in his room and maliciously raped her for six (6) good days. This police man raped this teenage girl until her vagina raptured.

For these six agonizing days, innocent Maryam was begging him to take her home but he refused. His waterloo reached its peak when on the 5th day, in the middle of the night the innocent Maryam took his mobile phone and called her father to come to her rescue.

Maryam was taken to hospital on 25th October 2017 (yesterday) by a good samaritan because the police in accord with the DPO of OKPOKO division are not forthcoming with her case. They want to cover up the case, especially as they told the father that the issue have to be forgiven since ‘they’ both the rouge police corporal Barau Garba and them are all of northern origin.

Attached here is the hospital patient card where innocent Maryam was taken and various tests were conducted, and it was ascertained she was raped beyond human imagination and left with a raptured vagina.

The IGP have to use a holistic approach to root out these bad eggs amongst the Nigerian police, just like how a sixty years old woman.

Who died from the police corruption, this Maryam Yusuf was defiled and humiliated by the same Nigerian police man.
Justice must be done here.

Two dead, four hospitalized after eating amala in Osun

Tragedy struck in Ibokun, Obokun Local Government area of Osun State yesterday when two persons died and four others were hospitalized after eating yam flour also known as amala with stew.

Saturday Sun gathered that one of those that died, Mrs Kehinde Fasanya, was a staff of Obokun Local Government Council.

However, the identity of the second person could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

Their bodies have been deposited at the Osun State General Hospital morgue at Asubiaro in Osogbo, for autopsy to determine the real cause of their death.

Four others that ate the food were rushed to Our Lady of Fatimah Hospital at Jaleyemi area in Osogbo for treatment against suspected poison.

The doctors at the hospital said their cases could not be handled and referred them to the Wesley Guild Hospital of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in Ilesa for treatment.

There was palpable tension in Ibokun and its environs as well as Osogbo yesterday as residents were seen warning their relations within and outside the state not to buy yam flour or eat amala for now.

The Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr Rafiu Isamotu said proactive measures had been taken with a view to unveiling the circumstances that led to the incident.

He therefore advised people not to panic.

He said preliminary findings revealed that the family members had been eating the same yam flour in the past few weeks.

Shock As Dead Man Resurrects As He’s About To Be Place Inside His Coffin. (Photos/Video)

A man left many shocked when he reportedly ‘came back‘ to life after he was declared dead by doctors.

A Peruvian man was reportedly nearly buried alive after undertakers found that the person they just put in a coffin was still breathing, Dailymail reports.

The man identified as Franklin Mandujano Doroteo was mistakenly pronounced dead by doctors at the Contingency Hospital of Tingo Maria in Huanuco, central Peru. But, it was later found out that the 24-year-old was heavily sedated, according to local media.

Doctors had pronounced him dead after he was given a sedative as he was suffering a fever following dental work. He was then allegedly brought to an undertaker where his body was prepared for burial.

But as he was lifted into a coffin before being interred, one of the workers is said to have realised he was still breathing. Mr Doroteo was rushed to hospital but unfortunately he was then allegedly pronounced dead soon after arriving.

Now, local news claims Mr Doroteo’s family are seeking justice for their loved one. It is not known whether the police are investigating the doctors for negligence or not. It is also not known whether the mistaken proclamation led to his eventual death, as treatment was therefore not given.

“I hope to live to age 125” — Read the story of the 92-yr-old woman with sickle cell disorder

Sickle Cell Disorder is one of the most common chronic yet treatable genetic disorders in Nigeria and several other parts of the world. Millions of those who encounter this disease often have tales of woe and lamentation to tell.

Living with this disorder is the only life that Alhaja Ashiata Aduke Onikoyi-Laguda has ever known since she was born on the 1st of November, 1925.

Widely acknowledged as the oldest person with Sickle Cell Disease in the world, Madam Onikoyi-Laguda has had a fulfilled life regardless of the chronic disorder.

Alhaja Asiata Aduke Onikoyi-Laguda With antecedents in the famous Onikoyi family of Isale Eko, in the heart of Lagos, Mama Ashiata (the righteous one) is a celebrity of international repute. Unarguably one of the oldest persons living with Sickle Cell Disorder, her home is a Mecca of sorts, people coming from all over the world to pay obeisance.

As she turns 92 in a few days, the matriarch is as full of life as ever even as she remains a relentless fighter against the enervating illness. A recent encounter with the nonagenarian was a pleasant surprise. Mama Onikoyi-Laguda, as she is fondly called, was having a late morning nap when Saturday Vanguard called at her residence, a story building in the heart of Ilasamaja, a Mushin suburb on Lagos Mainland.

She sat up in the double bed that was placed at one end of the spacious living room of the 3-bedroom apartment on the 1st floor of the modestly adorned building. Unhurried, she spoke: “You are welcome to my home.”

Her voice was soft but firm and steady. A bit wrinkled but not for the worse, Mama Onikoyi-Laguda exuded an aura of resoluteness, courage and determination. “Sit by my side,” she gestured, smiling to reveal a complete set of healthy dentures. Scattered on the bed are various items including a rechargeable fluorescent lamp, clothes, a walking stick and different volumes of the Holy Koran and the Holy Bible.

In the midst of the exchange of pleasantries, a young man in dreadlocks entered the room bearing a tray with a steaming hot plate of rice and spaghetti. He announces it’s lunch time and Mama requests to be excused to take her lunch. She introduced the young man as Bolaji Alakija, one of her grandsons. “Bolaji takes care of me. He cooks, washes and cares for me. “ After eating up half of the contents of the plate, Mama requested for an orange-flavoured bottle of soft drink. “I eat and drink whatever I want. I’m allowed to indulge as long as it is edible,” she announced to her guests.

Lunch over, she sat back and settled down to chat. Her memory is not as good as it used to be about a couple of decades ago, but she has enough agility to move around the apartment unaided. “I do not feel 92. I actually feel younger,” she said excitedly. “Even when I turned 90, I felt the same. But it is obvious age is telling on the energetic nonagenarian.

Even she confesses she is no longer able to cook her meals, wash her own clothes and do many of the things she used to do on her own. That is now the responsibility of Bolaji, her grandson who is now her guardian and full time housekeeper. Day she fell down “One thing I must admit however is that I cannot run again, not since I had a fall.” Relieving the incident, Mama admitted that she probably over did things. “It was not long after my 90th birthday.

On the day in question, I washed my clothes, spread them outside and then went out. But the weather changed and it appeared it was going to rain. I did not want my clothes to be ruined by rain and so I was rushing back home to gather the clothes when I tripped and fell face down.” She injured her right hand and for a whole year couldn’t use it properly. She couldn’t even eat with the hand.

Prior to her 90th birthday, Mama was still going out on her own “Now I have overcome the illness. There is nothing I don’t eat so long as it is edible. I do not like to worry my grandson, so since I fell, I can only walk in this living room and at times I walk downstairs. Going down memory lane, for Mama, in many perspectives, the pains of the Sickle Cell Disorder are a distant memory, confined into the past. For her, the worst is over.

No more pain, no more strain but a lot of gain. Early years “When I was born, they said I was Ogbanje (evil child) because no one understood the illness. My late mother had had a child that died previously and she was quite advanced in age when she had me. “My early years were full of pain,” she recounted with a glimmer in her eyes. “It was one crisis after another. My mother said the crises began when I was three years old and I had an attack of measles. The outcome was pain all through and till the end. “I was having pain in my hands and legs. The pain was so bad I was unable to eat using my hands.

Walking was also very difficult because of the pain in my legs.” Mama recalled that because of the persistent pain, she developed a habit of sitting or standing by the fireside. “Sometimes, my clothes got scorched because I was staying too close to the fire, but I thank God that now I can sleep under the fan and with the air-conditioner switched on.” On 30th of September 1960, the eve of Nigeria’s independence, Mama left the shores of Nigeria for the United Kingdom. She recounted the event. “In 1960 when I was to travel to England for further studies there were fears that I might not survive the cold weather over there. My mother in particular worried so much about this, but I was able to reassure her that the God that was keeping me alive in Nigeria would also keep me alive in England. So I travelled to England and even gave birth to a child in 1962 while I was there. That child is Mrs Mosun Adeniji.”

As she spoke, Mama pointed to a framed photograph on her bedside stool. “That is Mosun’s child, my grandchild – Ore. One of her sons, Funbi is now over 30. We live here together. School days “I was admitted into Queens College in 1948 at age 13 and was quite an intelligent student. I remember being in the examination hall, and being asked to stand up. Initially I thought I did something wrong, but I was moved into Form 3 instead of Form 1. I could not start school earlier because of this disorder and largely because of my father. Everybody knew I had Sickle Cell Disorder. It was not hidden the way it is hidden now. “In fact, chances were that if my father hadn’t died at the time he did, I might not have been educated because he over-pampered me to the extent of preparing eba with sugar for me. “My father cared for me so much he spoiled me.

His sympathy for me was beyond measure. Unfortunately he died young and I had to go and stay with my mother on who the onus now fell to ensure I was educated.” As a kid, it was a big challenge for her late mother who had to strive to no end to send her beloved daughter to school. Life in England “But my mother summoned the courage, strength and knowledge to see me through. I went to England on the eve of Nigeria’s Independence on the same plane that brought Princess Alexandria that came to declare Nigeria an independent nation on 1st of October 1960. Our independence was celebrated all over the world.

There was no sleep in England on that day. All the hotels were opened all night and everybody enjoyed themselves.

“I went abroad as a student even though I had given birth to four children. I was tiny in appearance, and no one would easily know I had four children. But I opted for that because I wanted to have a cheaper rate of transport. When I went to England my mother was trading in Sierra Leone but I begged her to come back home to help take care of my four children. However, she later regretted the idea of leaving her four children back home in Nigeria as she became lonely in England and soon realized she needed them for companionship. Mama was in England for four years. She went to the Pitman’s College and got employed in the Post and Telecommunications (P&T) as a Teleprinter Operator. “We started the use of the teleprinter at that time and we were taught how to operate it. There was no dull moment all through.”

Her typical day begins quite early. After the morning prayers and a trip to the bathroom, breakfast is next.

“Sometimes I have a late breakfast, but usually take something not too light and not too heavy. I do not sleep much because I’m prayerful and I watch TV a lot. In fact, my TV set is permanently on, I have my Bible and Koran, which I like to read when there is power supply. If there is no power, I know some psalms off hand and recite them.” As if to prove her prowess, she recited Psalm 24 in Yoruba.

Mama recalls that she has been on holy pilgrimage to Mecca 13 times. “I went whenever I had the strength and the money. The first time I went, it was quite challenging. I quickly learned that it is important to have a good heart to go on the pilgrimage. If you don’t have a clean heart you cannot perform Hajj.”

Does Mama have regrets?

Her straight answer is no. “I have no regrets. God has given me a good attitude of prayer, there is no problem one cannot overcome with prayer, just open your mouth. It is a weapon God has given us. He says we should ask of anything and it would be given to us. He always does it. But the law of God, the one about loving your neighbour as you love yourself, and doing no harm must not be flouted. “If we regard ourselves and brothers and sisters, this world would be a better place. I regard you as mine because if you do not love me you would not be here.

I’m grateful for the Genotype Foundation and Doris Gemiloye and what they have done for me. “Sickle cell is not a condemnation, if you learn to manage it, you can live with it. It is because I’m old now that I am not too active.

I used to go to the hospital when I was stronger, and the health providers always looked after me. I used to trek from here (Ilasamaja) to Oshodi, then down to Mushin just to exercise, I washed my clothes the way I wanted. Today, Nigeria is what we are making it, leaders should be more concerned about the people.

Why is there no power supply?

Don’t we have the money to generate the power or what is the problem? We know it is because there is no sincerity, and until we have a change of heart and be concerned about each other. I’m optimistic Nigeria will improve. We will keep praying Secret of longevity

What’s Mama’s secret?

“I have no secret, I know my God and I know that anything I want, I can get from Him. All he demands is that I love my neighbour as I love myself. I have had a fulfilled life. I practice my religion, I love people around me, I do not look for unnecessary things and everyone that comes near me loves me. People love me and that helps a lot. I thank God for that.

“People living with Sickle Cell Disorder should take care of themselves; follow their own dos and don’ts. When it is cold I keep warm, when it is warm I stay warmer, I eat normally, balanced diet. Be prayerful, know your God. He is the greatest strength we have. Future expectations As I am turning 92, my expectation for Nigeria is that we love one another much more than ever before. When we love one another and stop segregation of ethnicity, we would be doing what is right. God has blessed this country so much,

“I am hoping to live up to 125 years. My father did not live long, my mother died at 70, but my grandfather, known as Baba Alawo lived to be over 120 years. He resided in Ibadan and used to fast a lot. When my husband was about to die, his last wish was that I should stay here in this house. That was 25 years ago and I’m still here, marching on. I promised him I would be here till I join him, He died in 1992 “I do not go to the mosque again.

I used to go until I fell. But now they come to see me. Since I was in kindergarten I have been taught that God is a spirit and he sees me all the time. Sickle cell disease is a chronic sickness that doesn’t let go. I have it and have had it since I was born. I don’t know life without sickle cell disease. All the pain, daily aches, and crucial crises that came out of nowhere are gone. Sickle cell is never predictable and has impacted my life beyond words. But I’ve learned to cope with it. I’m fulfilled.”

When asked to speak about his grandmother, Bolaji who was named after his grandfather Abimbolaji Alakija, was not short of words. “I would love to write a whole book. She is my grandmother, beyond that she is my heroine, saviour, mentor, and guardian on earth. “She has been the angel sent to ensure my journey on earth is meaningful. Without her there is no me. I’m the one caring for her now. I owe her a lot and there is nothing I can do to repay her kindness.

“One corner singer”, Patapaa has just been paid his first show

‘One corner’ crooner, Patapaa has finally gotten paid for his first show in Ghana after complaining of not getting any money from his hit track.

After his song became a massive hit, Patapaa came out to complain that he still doesn’t have any money and he got into a dispute with the RTP awards after he was offered a miserable Ghc 1,000 to perform at their event.

Those days are behind him now as ‘things are getting better’. Recently Patapaa performed at the ‘WAV’ concert in Takoradi and according to organizers, he made Ghc 5,000 for his performance.

Aside his appearance fee, organizers also took care of travel, accommodation and food expenses.

Anyway, as he makes more money for himself, his collaborators on the song are also calling to be ‘settled’ since they helped him compose the song and he paid them nothing at the time.

Grab yourself with some self-esteem, self-confidence and self-pride. We are all poor. Us and the celebrities. All the celebrities in Nigeria.

Linda Ikeji is not a celebrity. She is a business woman. So she is not one of those broke celebrities.

Every celebrity in Nigeria is broke. They are like me. They don’t have the money they tell you they have. Many of them I have seen their bank statements. I don’t care if they start avoiding me now. I know better. Stop feeling inadequate, young people. You see as I beg for money publicly, that is how these celebrities suffer and beg for money secretly.

When I was writing Hip-Hop is Only for Children, I spent time travelling with many of them and I know the truth. Let them shut up. Now HushPuppi and his bitches have dragged Ugo Mozie into their rubbish.

Don Jazzy is a tenant. He is broke. Forget everything.

D’Banj is hustling every day to feed.

Davido spends the money they pay for every show.

Sinach and Frank Edwards are richer than these guys. This, I know! I am tired of all the social media haranguing and brouhaha and lies and show! And you will say, How e take concern you?

I am angrily writing this because those of you who feel because you are not famous and so you think you are poor, remember it is the little cash that you people send to our accounts that make us dey do iyanga.

Forget all the foreign trips. Do you know how many people who buy me flight tickets?

When you talk about wealth, people who are wealthy don’t throw them around on social media.

Be yourself because I have seen their bank details. And I know we are all struggling.

Fuck inferiority. You folks who think fame is fortune need to relax. You are better than us!

Now, Don Jazzy has responded, he replied the letter with; “True talk. Speaking for myself only. May GOD provide for us sha.”

I killed my uncle because he was trying to rape me — 22 year old lady

The Enugu State police have arrested one Tina Rebecca Sunday for killing her uncle, one Friday Mathew, 48, in the Independence Layout area of Enugu on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Tina, a native of Ikot Udobang Ukanafon, Akwa Ibom State, lived with the now deceased uncle. Tina was arrested while attempting to escape, after committing the crime, a report by PUNCH indicates.

But the lady, in her confessional statement, has described the killing as accidental. Tina disclosed that she killed Mathew, while struggling to escape his attempt to have forceful carnal knowledge of her.

She said her uncle has been trying to sleep with her for a very long time. Rebecca said she has been resisting Mathew’s amorous advances, but the uncle never gave up, until the matter took a tragic turn around 8:30 pm on October 26.

According to Tina’s account, Mathew, thinking she was asleep, snuck up to her bed and tried to force himself on her. Tina said she gave Mathew a kick on his genitals in a bid to stop him from raping her.

She added that Mathew got enraged, and both of them struggled as he moved to have his way. The girl then got hold of stone, which he smashed on Mathew’s head. The uncle fell down and gave up the ghost.

Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said minutes later, Mathew’s son, Thank-God, returned from the errand, only to meet his father’s lifeless body.

Amaraizu explained that Tina allegedly told the boy to keep quiet, to avoid attracting attention. She was said to have promised the boy that she will take adequate care of him, after which she locked up the house and took him to the home of a relative.

After dropping the boy with the said relative, Tina ran away. Amaraizu added that the 22-year-old lady was apprehended before she could leave Enugu. According to him, “The suspect is now regretting her action and begging for forgiveness as she never intended to kill the uncle.”

Smelling Your Partner’s Farts Will Give You Longer Life – Scientists Research Claims.

A new research by scientists state that whether you like it or not, smelling your partner’s farts will amazingly make you live longer.

A research team at the University of Exeter have discovered it is good for you to inhale your partner’s stinky farts as the gases in them can combat diseases.

So if you catch your partner eyeing you up weirdly tonight in bed, just sitting there waiting, you know why.

The study, published in the journal Medicinal Chemistry Communications, analysed the impact of the gas hydrogen sulfide which humans produce in small amounts.

Although it was found to be noxious in large doses, researchers discovered that cellular exposure to small amounts of the gas can prevent mitochondrial damage which has many health implications.

One of the researchers, Dr. Mark Wood, said:

Although hydrogen sulfide is well known as a pungent, foul-smelling gas in rotten eggs and flatulence, it is naturally produced in the body and could in fact be a healthcare hero.

Surprisingly the gas in farts can actually reduce the risk of several life threatening illnesses including cancer, stroke and heart attacks.

According to researchers, it has also been proven to prevent arthritis and dementia in old age.

Creating a new compound know as AP39, the team at the University believe this can hold the key to future therapies as it ensures that the body retains and produces the right amount of hydrogen sulfide.

Researchers claim that this compound can be delivered to targeted cells in the body and placed inside. Professor Matt Whiteman, from the university’s medical school, added:

When cells become stressed by disease, they draw in enzymes to generate minute quantities of hydrogen sulfide.

This keeps the mitochondria ticking over and allows cells to live. If this doesn’t happen, the cells die and lose the ability to regulate survival and control inflammation.

We have exploited this natural process by making a compound, called AP39, which slowly delivers very small amounts of this gas specifically to the mitochondria.

Our results indicate that if stressed cells are treated with AP39, mitochondria are protected and cells stay alive.

According to the scientists the research has shown that if AP39 is administered, in models of cardiovascular disease 80 percent of the heart’s mitochondria cells survive under highly destructive conditions.

Early results also that show that AP39 can help to lower high blood pressure and also dramatically improve the chances of survival after a heart attack by slowing the heartbeat making it more efficient.

The team are now working towards testing the compound in humans. This research is interesting but of course in its early stages with no real conclusions being made.

However, next time your partner has a go at your for farting, just tell them you are doing it out of the kindness of your heart.

“My man must be rich, I can’t marry a salary earner and sex is important to me” — Actress

Nollywood actress, singer and skin care therapist, Chineye Esther Anakulu Nze, simply known as Chesan Nze, from Anambra State is looking like the genuine article that may very well raise the bar in the movie industry.

She attended Apata Memorial High School, then Nnamdi Azikwe University for her banking and finance degree. She’s currently at Zenith College University in Accra, Ghana for her business management Bachelor’s degree.

In this interview with Vanguard, she takes us through her journey into entertainment, touching on love, sex and marriage.

Can you share with us the story of your journey into the entertainment world?

It is an interesting journey filled with ups and downs. I started out as a chorister in a church and began singing. I was doing more of gospel music. But my acting started as a child, back when I was in primary two. I started with Nestle Nido’s show, and I won Coca-Cola and Indomine shows by Sound Sultan, with W4.

I would say my heart was more with singing than acting but when people were relating me to Tonto Dikeh, saying I look a lot like her and that I should be into acting because I have the looks, the character and carriage, I knew acting must be my destiny.

But the real push came when a friend introduced me to a producer. I must say the industry is full of the good, the bad and the ugly people after you for different reasons. So, after my friend introduced me to the producer, some months later I got a call to come to Enugu for a shoot.

I was so happy because I felt the real journey had started for me. I packed my things and headed out to Enugu, thinking the big moment had finally arrived. After finishing the first scene I asked for the other scenes but I was told that was all they had for me.

It was a waka-pass role, a one-scene role. I never believed I travelled all the way from Lagos to Enugu for a waka-pass role. When I was offered the money I rejected it. Then I knew it would be a long journey.

I never knew one of the crew members was watching me. He later told me he admired my courage and passion and he linked me to Tchidi Chikere. When Mr. Chikere saw me, he told me that I have the face and attitude, that, I should use the talent well. I told him ‘no problem’. I was in Benin when he called me that he had cast me for a job.

The job was Moon Maid, and I featured in it alongside Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Mike Ezuruonye, Lizzy Gold Onuwaje, Nicole Bana and others. When I got to the location and the director saw me, he said first of all I have the face of an actress and that I remind him of Tonto Dikeh and Nicki Minaj. From there I started getting different jobs, and different producers started calling me. Moon Maid was the miracle job that brought me out. I still thank God for Mr Tchidi Chikere; he has really helped me in the movie industry.

Would you say it has been financially lucrative in the last four years for you?

Well, not 100%, let me say 50% . Some jobs don’t pay well while others have been very good. There was a Chichi’s job I did and it paid very well. But I can never forget my first trip to Enugu. I guess they wanted me to feel the stress of becoming an actress.

Down the years now I smile because things are really looking up. No doubts the road has been rough but it can only get better. As at last year I was part of Glo’s Professor Johnbull’s TV series and I have done some TV commercials as well.

Is it true that you can’t make it in the industry without getting laid ?

Like I said earlier, the industry is full of bad and good people. If you are not lucky you meet the bad people first. And if you are lucky you meet the good people who would help you and set you on the easy path. I must say it’s easier for men than women, especially beautiful women, because everyone wants to have a taste of you. If you are good, your talent will see you through but if you are not, they will only use and dump you. I have the potential and they saw the talent in me, I was accepted, so why would they want to sleep with me when they know I’m good?

Did you come to Nollywood as a virgin?

Well, I didn’t.

So, why wouldn’t you have your fun while getting the jobs?

No. I am a very disciplined person, except I like you and I want to date you. If I don’t like you there is nothing you can do to get me.

Don’t tell us there aren’t men fine enough in Nollywood to win your heart ?

I have not dated anyone in the industry; it’s just like you’re in a firm and you start dating people in the firm, you will lose your respect. When you get laid by one they use that opportunity to pass you around and you become useless in no time. I think it’s not right to mess around where you work.

What is the competition like in Nollywood among ladies to get roles?

There are too many women in the industry and some of them are so desperate to the extent that they could go extra miles just to take your own role from you. Another problem comes from people who are older in the industry, they don’t want the younger ones to take over. Most times, they get on your nerves to discourage you and make you quit. If there is love in the industry so many youths will be coming out; that is why most movies you see, you see more of the older faces in the industry instead of the younger ones.

Can you tell us how far you’ve gone in your music career?

So far, I have released just one single, titled ‘Body Therapy’ featuring Ronkay and DJ Joenel, produced by Lirrupy and mixed and mastered by Brain on the Mix. The video is not out yet but the audio is online, it was released in 2015.

How has acting influenced your romantic relationships?

My last relationship died because the guy I dated then had issues with my acting. He’s a jealous guy, he said I was always surrounded mostly by men and he didn’t like it.

What does it take to win your heart?

The guy must be educated, God-fearing, cute enough to give me good-looking kids. He must also be rich, hardworking and independent. When I say independent, I mean he must be a boss man, a boss of himself, not one who works under anybody. I can’t marry a man who collects salary. I’m a boss lady, so, I must marry a boss man too.

What has been your worst experience on set?

The truth about it is, you will be humiliated by those who have been there before you. They have to make you feel we have been there before you, you have to respect us and be loyal to us. I think it’s a tradition in Nollywood, as an actor, you must respect those who have been there before you.

Can you date a man much older than you?

If there is love I can, and the limit age I can date is 45years.

From your experience of dating Nigerian men, how romantic are they?

They are not really romantic, only few are.

Who is the best kisser you have kissed on set?

I have kissed four actors both in Ghana and Nigeria and when doing them there are no emotions. So, I don’t know who is the best kisser.

How strong is sex for you in a relationship?

Sex in a relationship for me is 80% important, because when the sex is a little bit boring the relationship starts falling apart, while the remaining 20% is about character and communication. But no matter how good a guy is in bed, if he treats me badly, I will walk away.

Nigerian men don’t have what I want – Actress Nkechi Emmanuel, reveals her British boyfriend has already paid her brideprice

Actress Nkechi Emmanuel

The name, Naomi Nkechi Emmanuel, may not ring a bell. But the actress, popularly known as Nurse Titi in a television drama series, Clinic Matters, is an icon in the movie industry.

A graduate of Lagos State University, she is currently working on her latest production, entitled The Interview, due for release towards the end of this year.

In this chat with SUN News Online, the actress, who is already wrapping up her wedding plans, talks about her career, love life and how she met her fiancé. Enjoy it.

Can you briefly tell us about yourself?

My name is Naomi Nkechi Emmanuel, but people call me Nurse Titi, because of my role in Clinic Matters. I am from Anambra State. I am a graduate of History & International Relations from Lagos State University. I am planning to go for my Masters degree either in Film Production or Law.

When did you develop the flair for acting?

It’s been a long time. I would say the talent has been growing, but it took me a while to discover it. I discovered the talent when I was in church and my mum actually supported me. I was 16 then and I went for several auditions. I later went to the National Arts Theatre to make enquiries and I was told to pay certain amount to register. I paid and the whole thing started from there.

What was your first movie as an actress?

It’s ‘When You Are Mine’ and it was a blockbuster. In the movie, I played alongside numerous artistes and that was when I acted as a nurse for the first time. When the movie came out, people said I did well and that was where Mr. Paul Igwe, the producer of Clinic Matters saw me and gave me a chance.

Are you saying you started acting professionally with Clinic Matters?

Before Clinic Matters, I had done some drama series on NTA, but this brought me into limelight.

Actress Nkechi Emmanuel (Nurse Titi) on Clinic Matters.

Is playing the role of a nurse the best you can do?

In fact, I am sick and tired of playing the role of a nurse. I have acted in several movies as a nurse and I keep telling the producers that I am not born a nurse, and that I can do other roles.

Have your fans ever mistaken you for a real nurse?

No, but people always advise me to take nursing as a profession. They would say ‘why don’t you take it as a profession?’ But I can’t because I don’t have the flair for it.

What project are you working on at the moment?

I have just produced a movie that I am trying to put up; it is called ‘The Interview’. It is my personal project.

What would you say is your greatest achievement in the movie industry?

I would not say I have gotten to where I want to be, but I thank God I am someone that can walk on the streets and be recognised.

Have you ever been embarrassed by a fan?

I get embarrassed almost everyday. Recently, I was somewhere and people were like ‘she is an actress’ and someone said ‘which actress?’ and that they don’t know me, so I felt bad.

Aside acting, what else do you do?

I do photography modeling. I am a model; I do a lot of adverts.

How do you relax?

I love to exercise. I love to swim. I love to hang out with my friends. I watch movies, listen to music, read gossips online and I love to drive as well.

Why are you still single?

I am not single anymore. My bride price has already been paid, and soon my church wedding would take place.

Can you describe your man?

He is everything I wanted in a man. He is everything I have always asked God for. He is a man I love so much.

Is he a Nigerian?

No, he is not a Nigerian. He is British.

Why a Briton and not a Nigerian?

Nigerian men came for me but they didn’t possess the qualities that I want in a man.

Was it love at first sight?

No, we met on location. The whole thing started like a small feeling, and it later blossomed.

What is your view on domestic violence?

It is 100 percent wrong and I advise people that they should not create a cause for domestic violence to take place.

In case you encounter domestic violence in your marriage, what will you do?

I like to give people opportunities. I won’t just rush out of my marriage, I would take a break and let him realise his mistake.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

I gave myself a target of two to three years, so five years is above my dreams.

If your husband asks you to drop acting, what would you do?

He can’t ask me to drop acting, because he is my number one fan. He is also in the industry; he’s a movie director.

What advice do you have for the up and coming actors that see you as their role model?

You have to be strong; you have to work hard because it’s not easy. You have to be focused and determined. Also, don’t lose your shape because I believe your body is your first market. Aside this, you have to be very prayerful.

Prince Harry Had A Two-Year Crush On Girlfriend, Meghan Markle Before He Met Her.

“A young man who was shown setting the hay on fire did so right after having sex with one of mares. Whatever got into his head is still not clear.

“He has a girlfriend – or rather he did have a girlfriend,” said a Russian news report.

The man was immediately recognised by officers, who have arrested him on suspicion of arson and may face further charges of abusing an animal.

Buhari and Nigerian Army killed and buried Nnamdi Kanu secretly — Biafran man says on Facebook, says he can defend it in any court

Kanu has not been seen ever since the Nigerian Army launched its Operation Python Dance in the South-East, during which there was a confrontation between the military and the IPOB members in Umuahia.

Nigerian Army says

Ever since, TWO Igbo youth groups, World Igbo Youth Congress, WIYC, and the Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC have since disagreed over whom to hold responsible for the whereabouts of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Ikpeazu had told State House correspondents, after a meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, that it was not his duty to locate Kanu.

Consequently, the WIYC (World Igbo Youth Congress), through its Deputy National President, Dr. Fidelis Ugwu insisted that the duo of Ikpeazu and Senator Abaribe had answers to Kanu’s whereabouts.

Now, a Biafran, on Facebook, has insinuated the the Soldiers killed, and buried their Leader, Kanu. In a post he wrote on Facebook, he said;

NIGERIA ARMY KILLED NNAMDI KANU,

Did buhari and Nigeria bokoharamic military men killed Nnamdi Kanu? Me Ken O Chidebelu said yes to this, call me in any court of law and will flush everyone, Nigeria bokoharams called Nigeria military men invaded saint Philip catholic church in ozubulu, that’s the same way they invaded Nnamdi Kanu house, killing every living being,hausa/Fulanis under Buhari’s command killed and buried Nnamdi Kanu secretly, yes I put it to them, if not all the Nigeria goons and kangaroos should give me account on how he escaped the presence of heavily armed bokoharams disguised as Nigeria soldier, if Enyinaya Abaribe dont know what to say, then let him rot in jail, this is democratic dispensation, we are not under military government, Nigeria bokoharamic soldiers killed Nnamdi Kanu and buried him secretly, simple, if not tell me how he ran away, narrate it to me, buffoons, archaic set of people living in their dream world,be factual, I need people to face me and tell me how he ran away, cows

“My Love Declaration For Jeff Akoh Is Not A Publicity Stunt” – Bisola

Bisola

Big Brother Naija 1st runner up, Bisola Aiyeola, is yet to make up her mind about the status of her relationship with 2015 MTN Project Fame winner, Jeff Akoh.

Bisola had caused a stir when she publicly declared via her Twitter handle that she was in a romantic relationship with Akoh, the 2015 MTN Project Fame winner.

Subsequently, speaking in a new chat with Saturday Beats she said she didn’t mean it but it wasn’t mere publicity stunt.

In the post she had written, “It is official guys, Jeff Akoh and I are in love and in a strong, loving relationship. Your girl B is taken #ageaintnothingbutanumber.”

Shortly after the post, many people believed it was publicity stunt as the post coincided with the young man’s launch of his debut album, ‘Lokoja.’

But in a chat with Saturday Beats, the singer and actress said it was not a publicity stunt.

“When I posted on my social media account that I was in love with Jeff Akoh of Project Fame, it was not that we were an item. He just finished performing without rehearsing with the band that was there and his vocals literally blew me away. I was really impressed because he had not rehearsed with the live band that was playing. I was so impressed that I yelled, ‘Jeff I love you. You are such an amazing singer.’ Then I tweeted it. People that really know me are aware of the fact that I joke a lot. I put a hash tag with the post #ageaintnothingbutanumber and I knew the post would stir up a controversy. It was not planned, neither was it a publicity stunt. It was a spur of the moment thing. I had listened to him and I fell in love with his vocals. People just took it out of context,” she said.

One major reason the relationship might not work is because the reality television show star told Saturday Beats that she prefers dating older men. Bisola said,

“For me, I don’t have anything against dating someone younger but I would rather date someone who is older than me. It is my choice and I don’t have a particular reason. I am not in a relationship at the moment because I am focused on being successful. Love would eventually come but there are some bills that need to be paid staring me in the eyes. I cannot say my love interest would come and pay for it.”

As an advocate of the empowerment of the girl child, the singer said that she feels the government is not doing enough.

“I am an advocate with oneorg.com for girl child education. I would not say the government has done enough for the girl child in Nigeria and that is why we are advocating on their behalf. We know it takes a long process in making policies but the more we keep lending our voices, the more the lawmakers are aware that it is high time issues like this were addressed. It goes beyond the government because they could put in place some policies but it would not be implemented. That is another ball game entirely. We just hope that with the noise we are making and the places we have been to on behalf of the girl child, everything would be okay. It is a gradual process,” she said.

Rosy Meurer’s new boyfriend is a Ghanaian Actor, and he has a girlfriend (Photos)

You can’t show off your boyfriend on Social Media, then cover his face with a smiley, and not expect folks to dig, and find out who your man is.

This is the case of Nigerian Actress, Rosy Meurer, who apparently, showed off her new man of recent, but covered his face with a huge smiley, thereby shielding him from the media. Question is, why share the pics in the first place. [See photos here].

Now some folks already decoded who the man is, and according to a Ghanaian blogger, he is no other person than, Ghanaian actor, James Gardiner.

The Reason I’m Still Single At 31 – Iyanya Reveals.

Iyanya Reveals

“Hold On” singer, Iyanya, has spoken on his love life with Saturday Beats, though, he is single at the moment with no hopes of getting hooked to a lady any time soon, he is running from women.

“How do I miss the attention of women when I am running away from them? Check me out, even without music, you think I would not get girls? Girls are not an issue, they flock around me and it is even happening as I speak with you. I am not in love with anybody at the moment because I am focused on a lot of things. When the time comes, nobody would know.”

Apparently referring to the relationship that was rumoured that he had with Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, Iyanya said he would certainly keep his relationship off prying eyes.

“When I fall in love again, I am definitely not going to inform the press and the reason is simple, anytime I step out to tell the world that this is my girlfriend, I end up losing the girl. Over the years, I have learnt to keep it to myself. I would show the world my videos and shows but not my girlfriend. I would not show the world when we are kissing. I have learnt from my past mistakes,” he said.

Aside from his love life, so many would also think the singer’s fame is dwindling. But Iyanya told Saturday Beats that he is not bothered by what others think of him.

“I feel nothing when people say I am not the Iyanya they used to know because everything is in their head. What you think about me is not what is happening in my world and you think such because of what you see or hear. I am fine, I am blessed and I am still touring the world. I am happy. So, if you are over there thinking that Iyanya is not who he used to be, then that is your thought and has nothing to do with me.”

He continued,

“Everything about me is still happening on a high level; don’t judge me based on what I post on social media. I am blessed and it is for life. You cannot judge me based on what you see me post. I show you only what I want you to see, it does not mean that my life depends on the pictures or videos that I post. This is a social media world where people judge you based on what they see on your social media pages.

“That is not my life; it is only what I show people. I have a life that is different from what I post, so no one can generalise my being just by looking at pictures. People would have different opinions about my music but as an entertainer, I have to be versatile. I won a competition in 2008 and within the ten weeks that the competition lasted, I was expected to do different genres of music.

I don’t just have fans that want to listen to dance songs, there are those who want to hear me sing, so there is nothing wrong with stepping the tempo up or down because I am not catering to a particular kind of fans. I have people who love the Kukere guy while the others are in love with the guy that won MTN Project Fame nine years ago. I always try to balance it but it is okay for people to have their opinion but I am doing very well.”

Cardi B is Engaged.. and everyone is just damn too happy for her.

It all started when Offset and his Migos crew were performing at the same venue as his girlfriend, Cardi, at the Philly Powerhouse concert, yesterday night, when Offset pulled of his huge surprise – He tapped on Cardi’s shoulders, went down on one knee, and proposed to her live on stage… She said yes of course.

The couple, who are both 25, are fresh off dropping their new collab “MotorSport,” Migos’ first single off Culture 2 featuring Cardi and Nicki Minaj. The trio debuted the song at Powerhouse last night.
