An unconfirmed report has claimed that Toluige Olokoobi Babalola, the mother of internet sensation Oreofeoluwa, has taken her own life in Benin, Edo state.

It will be recalled that Ore gained popularity in 2020 after a video of him telling his mother to calm down when she was rebuking him went viral.

He was subsequently invited by the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, secured ambassadorial deals, and even featured in a movie.

Sadly, three years after Ore gained popularity, his mother has reportedly committed suicide for reasons best known to her.

A social media user, who shared the heartbreaking news on the microblogging platform, revealed that she left behind three children for her husband.

A lady whose identity is still unknown has reportedly murdered her friend during an argument in their apartment in Dubai, UAE.

The video which was shared on the microblogging platform X formerly known as Twitter by a user @obaofph01 was a horrific accident.

In the video, two ladies were seen arguing in an apartment, with one of them holding a knife. The deceased had tried to intervene and settle the dispute but met her end when the lady in possession of the knife slit her arm with it.

After the incident, the victim was heard telling the other ladies in the apartment to look at what the lady had done to her, while threatening to call the police.

As the victim was bleeding profusely, the other ladies in the apartment were seen scrambling around, contemplating whether or not to administer first aid. Having lost too much blood and left unattended, another video recorded the victim lying lifeless in a pool of her own blood.

In response to the news, many internet users advised women not to engage in physical fights and to be mindful of the kind of friends they associate with. According to some, ‘The smaller the circle, the better’.

Some Nigerians have flocked to the Instagram account of Irish chef Alan Fisher, who recently broke the Guinness World Record previously held by Nigerian chef and restaurateur, Hilda Baci.

It was earlier reported that Alan Fisher dethroned Hilda Baci to become the new world record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, as announced by Guinness World Records on Tuesday, November 7.

Following the announcement, Hilda Baci extended her congratulations to Alan Fisher and removed the title from her bio. However, many Nigerians did not follow suit, opting instead to visit Mr. Fisher’s Instagram page and harass him for breaking Hilda’s record.

Some criticized him for not waiting for some time before attempting to break the record to allow Hilda to enjoy it, while others questioned why he was “competing in the kitchen with a woman.”

Surprisingly, some Nigerians referred to him as a thief and suggested that he should have competed in the Olympics instead of a cooking challenge.

Although this is not unexpected, as Nigerians are known to come to the defense of their compatriots, many have frowned upon this behavior and warned the trolls to stop harassing Alan.

“I stopped going to church because of what my pastor did to me” – Daddy Freeze

Media personality, Daddy Freeze, has described how, many years ago, his cleric’s treatment of him caused him to quit going to church.

The controversial OAP claimed that his pastor at the time had barred him from sitting in the front row of the church

Daddy Freeze made this known during a recent episode of the Teju Babyface ‘Deep Dive’ audiovisual podcast.

He disclosed that he was informed by the pastor of the church he was attending that he would have to take a seat in the back due to his divorce.

The social media influencer claimed that he was a church worker who was heavily involved in the program’s organisation. However, following the event, he opted not to go to church rather than “hide” in the back seat.

Freeze went on to say that he began studying and investigating the Bible on Sundays and that’s how he found that the majority of the teachings given by Nigerian churches were flawed.

He said;

“My marriage had always been troubled and in 2014 it came to an end. And I remember I used to do events in my church. The church minister used to pay me then to do events which I celebrated. At least, the pastor was not eating all the money, he was sharing with the people who were working.

I was booked for an event that I used to do for the church, and I got a call that I should cancel it because of my divorce or pending divorce drama. And I was like, ‘Because I’m going through a divorce does that remove God from me?’ I questioned that too.

Then the pastor came to my house and we had a conversation. He was like, ‘I’m not telling you not to come to the church but when you come to the church, sit at the back.’ And I was like what’s all this? So, that made me sit at home on Sundays. Instead of going to church and hiding, is it not better that I sit at home? So, sitting at home on Sundays now started feeding the holes in my brain.”

Nigerian chef and restaurateur, Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has addressed queries from netizens about the alteration of her bio information on social media.

Recall that Alan Fisher, an Irish chef, just overthrew Hilda and took the title of the Guinness world record holder for the longest individual cooking marathon.

Hilda Baci congratulated him immediately on the microblogging platform, X, upon the announcement that he had broken the record.

She then proceeded to remove the record-holder title from her bio as she gracefully accepted her current status.

This did not sit well with some netizens, who opined that she was still a record holder despite everything.

She then took to her X account to state that she was respectfully acknowledging the new title holder, just as Chef Lata acknowledged her.

Wunmi, the wife of late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad has disclosed that since her husband’s passing, she has been the target of death threats.

Speaking in the Candide-Johnson Court House in Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu, Wunmi said that following her husband’s passing, she started receiving death threats.

She said;

“A lot of people are defaming me on TikTok, (a social media platform). I left my husband’s house because I am not safe there”

Wunmi said in cross-examination by David Fadile, the attorney for Mohbad’s father, that she gets along well with her father-in-law and considers him to be her best friend. She denied getting a visa to Canada as well.

However, she also said that Mohbad wished for them to go to Canada since he was said to have a great deal of opponents in Nigeria.

Wunmi also recounted how Mohbad made sure he didn’t put her and their child on social media because he wanted to protect them. She also disclosed that she had known Mohbad for more than ten years, dating back to her days in secondary school.

Wunmi refuted the claim that she and her late husband got into a fight. She revealed that Mohbad wanted to visit the hospital to get his injury from his run-in with Prime Boy treated, but he chose not to go because of his fear of Naira Marley and his past experiences with NDLEA agents.

She disclosed that on Monday, September 11, she discovered a bloodstain on the bed sheet, indicating that her spouse had suffered a cut during a fight with Prime Boy.

She also said that they had to use first-aid and Panadol because the nurse who was meant to treat Mohbad wasn’t there.

The singer had several injections in his left arm on Tuesday, September 12, after her husband’s friend, Spending, contacted a different nurse.

Wunmi, who disclosed that she was in the kitchen preparing food and forgot to ask about the kind of injection he received, claimed to have only witnessed the nurse attempting to administer another shot into his hand. However, Mohbad told the nurse to be careful because he was an ulcer patient.

Wunmi stated on Taiwo Olawanle’s cross-examination from Falana and Falana Chamber that her late spouse was first brought to Kuda Hospital, which did not treat him, and then to another hospital, which declared him dead.

Under cross-examination by Olumayowa Ogunsami, the deceased’s father’s attorney, she said that her late husband broke up his friendship with a certain Michael, also known as Mice, upon learning that the latter was an informant for Naira Marley.

She claims her late spouse discovered he was recording the conversation when he went to a lawyer to discuss royalties Naira Marley owed him.

The case was postponed until November 15 for further proceedings.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, has tackled reality TV star, Phyna, following her altercation with a policeman.

Recall that the Big Brother Naija “Level Up” winner recently went live on Instagram as she engaged in a heated argument with a police officer who took her photograph during a stop and search.

The policeman stressed that it is acceptable for them to film and take photos of the individuals they are keeping tabs on. Phyna voiced her disapproval, claiming to be unaware of any such rule.

In a shocking turn of events, the lifeless body of Adaeze, a second-year Accounting student at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), was discovered in her off-campus residence in Aluu on Friday, November 3.

Tragedy struck in Ilorin, Kwara State, as the lifeless body of a 7-year-old boy, Abdull-Haayi, was recovered from a domestic well.

The incident occurred on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Yaa-Lateef House in the Akerebiata area of Ilorin, Ilorin East Local Government Area.

He continued by saying that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and the police have to invite Iyabo Ojo’s children for interrogation.

He said;

“I don’t know why Iyabo was sending her children, who are adults, to Naira Marley’s house in the first place. She stated that Naira was putting drugs in their food and she called herself a mother. She never came out to fight for her children then…Maybe she just cooked up this lie to implicate Naira. Why was her daughter laced with drugs if she was not into drugs already? Which mother will keep quiet in such a situation? The NDLEA and the police heard what she said and they are keeping mute. How will this country get better? I expect the NDLEA to invite her to bring her children and investigate her.”

A young Nigerian lady, identified as Obi Cynthia, has called on Nigerians to help her sister who has been suffering domestic abuse at the hands of her husband.

In a series of videos shared on TikTok, the lady disclosed that her sister, who is a mother of five, has been subjected to physical abuse for eleven years.

She also claimed that the husband has always bribed his way out of every case whenever they reported him to the police or human rights organization.

According to her, her brother-in-law always boasts that her family can’t do anything to him because they are all girls.

She shared a video showing her sister’s bruised face after another episode of abuse, along with a collage of her brother-in-law’s photos, describing him as a monster.

Just recently, a Nigerian woman with four children tragically lost her life after enduring years of domestic abuse at the hands of her husband.

A Facebook user, Amarachi Iwuala, who shared the heart-wrenching incident online, revealed that the husband had allegedly subjected his wife to domestic abuse for years.

She said the husband once beat his wife to the point that she fainted and had to be rushed to the hospital before she was resuscitated.

Despite the abuse, the woman chose to remain in the marriage, primarily for the sake of her four children, including a seven-month-old baby, whom she wanted to grow before leaving. Amarachi claimed that the deceased’s mother even advised her to leave, but she refused.

Nigerian chef and restaurateur, Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has finally spoken out after losing the Guinness World Record to an Irish chef.

It was earlier reported that the Irish Chef, Alan Fisher, surpassed Hilda’s record to become the new holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Alan achieved a total cooking time of 119 hours and 57 minutes, which is over 24 hours longer than Hilda’s previous record of 93 hours and 11 minutes. Read here

The news was met with mixed reactions by Nigerians, as it’s only been five months since Hilda Baci broke the record and became the new holder of the title.

Well, the 27-year-old chef has now taken to Twitter to react to the latest development. She extended her congratulations to Alan and wished him the best.

She also expressed her joy at having held the record, albeit for a short time, noting that she would be forever grateful for the love and support she received from her fans and Nigerians at large.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter), the singer asserted that the crude oil in the region will eventually dry out and questioned what they would do next.

A woman from Ibadan, Oyo state, has left many in shock after she boldly confessed to her husband that only one of their children is his.

The yet-to-be-identified woman made this surprising revelation in a recent interview on a Yoruba-speaking show, Kokoro Alate, where her husband was also present.

During the interview, the mother of six admitted to paternity fraud, disclosing that four of their kids were fathered by her pastor, while one was fathered by a meat seller. Only one child is her husband’s biological child.

When the interviewer questioned the possibility of seeking forgiveness from her husband and returning home with him, the man clearly stated that he would never accept her back as his wife.

Blessing CEO invited for questioning by the police for accusing Davido of owing IVD motors N4m

Controversial media personality, Blessing Okoro, better known as Blessing CEO, was recently invited by the police for questioning over her claims that Davido is owing IVD motors N4 million.

This was reported by a Twitter user, Otunba, who posted a video of the relationship therapist being questioned at a police station.

Recall that Blessing CEO had called out Davido for failing to pay the debt of the car he had purchased for his aide, Israel DMW.

IVD Motors, on the other hand, refuted the issue, saying that Davido had since paid off his account and apologized to Blessing for not keeping her informed of this.

However, it seems that the singer filed a petition for Blessing to be questioned, and she accepted the police invitation.

Recall that the 62-year-old comic actor recently revealed that he is battling an undisclosed ailment that may cost him his leg.
