During the week, Tagbo Umeike, one of singer Davido’s friends, died and Davido was accused of having a hand in Tagbo’s death.
While Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma alleged she heard Tagbo was on a drinking spree with Davido and his friends and accused Davido of negligence, another family friend of Tagbo Umeike has given Punch’s Saturday Beats his version of the story.
According to the family friend, Damilola Usman, who spoke to Saturday Beats from Tagbo’s parents’ house on Wednesday, Tagbo passed out after taking shots of tequila.
He said:
“Tagbo’s family is not ready to give out information now but once they are, we would contact you because the case is still at the police station and the investigation is still on-going.
However, what happened was that we went to a joint together called the Shisha Room. In the Shisha Room, we had a competition of Tequila shot. Each person had to take 10 shots of Tequila and after the competition, Tagbo passed out.
Nobody took him to the hospital because everybody was high already. We did not know that it was something serious.
“I learnt they went to the beach later and I think he passed out at the beach again. His friends that accompanied him to the beach did not attend to him on time but eventually when they suspected that there was something wrong, they allegedly dropped him in front of the hospital with his car.” he said.
Meanwhile, Caroline Danjuma said she learnt there was a bet of N200, 000 and that late Tagbo, who was her boyfriend, drank 50 shots of tequila.
“I decided to call my neighbour who was also Tagbo’s friend and he said that there was a bet of N200, 000 and that Tagbo drank about 50 shots of tequila but I said that cannot be true. Tagbo cannot drink even a glass of Hennessey because he had a light brain like me.
So a guy who couldn’t drink this much couldn’t finish 50 shots of tequila. Tagbo did not need N200, 000 to do that. He came from a very wealthy background so he didn’t need that kind of bet; he was not hungry for that. I was shattered to hear such news.
“Meanwhile, someone who rented my bar told me he was with Davido at Shisha Bar on Monday and then I asked him randomly,
Davido
“Oh then, you must know Tagbo”. The guy confirmed that he met Tagbo and that was when he knew they were birthday mates and he also said they had fun and went from there to DNA to party on Lagos Island.
“I contacted another person who (allegedly) remembered seeing Davido and Tagbo. According to what the person said, Tagbo drank the tequila and got intoxicated,” she said.
Davido has denied his involvement in the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike ever since the news broke. Posting via his Snapchat, Davido wrote:
“I was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of my friend Tagbo. First and foremost, my sincere condolences and prayers are with his family at this time. I’ve been in the same position before, multiple times and also of recent.
But it is also disappointing that false information and complete lies have been put out there using my name, as usual. Out of total respect for Tagbo and his family, I will not discuss this matter further for now. Rest in peace Tagbo.
The act of savagery is embedded in almost every human, it just takes for one to discover the kinda savage in them.
A white lady has shown she’s every bit of a savage as she responded to an Indian scammer who promised to give her love and sex if only she’d send him money for his airplane ticket to meet her.
The scammer, who goes by the Anil Khullar on Facebook, ignited a conversation with the woman in her inbox, telling her that he loves her and will give her “hot sex”.
Anil went on to tell the woman that he needed to be with her badly but needs money for his flight ticket from her – he asked for $500 but, the woman an apparent savage who goes by the Facebook alias Fellatia McSuckle, was wiser and dealt him a card he definitely didn’t see coming.
The conversation between the woman and the scammer has since gone viral after it was shared online – in the chat seen below, not only did she purposely call his name, Anal but she also made him call himself that and asked him to do some cringe-worthy things in order for her to send the money – which she didn’t send at the end of the day.
Their convo is quite lengthy but if you’re in for a good laugh, you’ll read through!

Their inspiring story was shared by Olupage as thus:
‘Here is my testimony.”We serve a living God. He can, and will always do the impossible”. Call the name ‘Jesus’ and He will do it again.
At age 57, 27years of waiting in marriage, 7 years post-menopause. Jesus wouldn’t let down their faith, He wouldn’t close their case. He turned their mourning into dancing. He gave them the sweet song of victory.
He gave them two bouncing miracle babies- a boy and a girl.
We join the Josephs in singing His praises to the ends of the earth, cos He’s the God of awesome wonders- ONISE IYANU!
If He could do it for Mummy and Daddy Joseph, He will do it for you too. Don’t give up on your most holy faith. Praise Him in advance. Give Him an upfront heartfelt worship.
Onise Iyanu
You are the God of awesome wonders
I’ve tasted of Your power
Onise Iyanu
You have shown me so much mercy
Much more than I deserve
My eyes have seen, my ears have heard
The wonders of Your praise
Creation bows in awe of You
And we join to give You praise
The words You speak turns things around
Your outstretched hand

You took away the chains and colts
That held me bound’

People reacted to their testimony as they wished them well…
I got talking with my ex boyfriend recently and he said he wanted us to get back together, well I decided to give it a try and we were cool for a while
To cut the long story short, two weeks ago he told me he was broke #he’s a corper# and he hasn’t been paid yet
I offered to lend him some money and he promised to pay back cause the money wasn’t even mine but I’m this kinda girl who cannot bear to see someone starve or suffer…
Now the problem is I’ve been asking him for the money and he keeps saying he doesn’t have any cash to “spare” and he’ll pay whenever he gets it.
Whenever I remind him about the money he’ld ask me if i’m okay or what’s my problem, I got really upset today and told him to pay me or he won’t like my next line of action and he said I should do my worse

A 44-year old mum of four has come out to say looking half her age is a curse than a blessing as it is stopping her from finding love.
Dawn Cousins, who is from London, claims men to include her kids friends all want her attention due to how she looks as she is eve sometimes mistaken for her kids sister.
Daw claims the curse has extended to her office, where she says she often struggles to get work done.
“The thing is I look half my age and I have men drooling over me all the time, aged from 18 to ancient.
“I sometimes wish I didn’t look so good, then I might attract the right kind of man I could spend my life with.
“I seem to get the men who are only after looks and not personality; those types are not the kind of person you want to spend your days with.
“Guys over 40 are all putting on weight and the women have got a lot of wrinkles. I haven’t got any. I’m not in the same bracket as them.
“I need to find my knight in shining armour – or at least a man who isn’t so fat he could fit it.”
On moving on from her ex, Dawn said:
“We slowly drifted apart and I was alone again.
“I assumed I would find someone after the heartbreak of splitting up was over, but it never happened.
“Now it is 14 years later and I am starting to panic.”
“It is flattering. My daughters have told me I couldn’t go clubbing with them though, as I’d get eaten alive.
“If they see a young guy approaching me they’ll quickly slip the word ‘mum’ into the conversation to make it clear who I am, to try and stop any awkward conversations, but it doesn’t always happen.
“My daughter’s friends even hit on me; some of them try it on with me because they think I’m a sister and some just fancy me.
“If they come onto me I just laugh it off, I don’t make a big thing of it. I like younger men but I would draw the line at their mates, it would be too weird.
“Sometimes my daughters will their mates fancy me not them, and that is a bit strange I guess I’m a MILF!”

A groom got the ultimate revenge on his “cheating” bride – by playing a video of her alleged infidelity in front of their stunned wedding guests.
According to DailyMirror, the couple’s loved ones were astonished when they saw the woman allegedly “behaving intimately” with another man in the footage.
The clip, displayed at the wedding in Singapore, began with a montage of the bride and groom’s relationship so far, according to local media.
But suddenly, it cut into footage of the woman going into a hotel room with her alleged lover, before the pair apparently engaged in “intimate” actions.
The groom, a wealthy businessman, had hired a private detective a few weeks before the wedding to check on his wife-to-be, Zaobao reports. He had apparently suspected she was cheating on him.
After the video was played at the wedding, the “embarrassed” and “humiliated” bride is said to have run out of the room. The case came to light after the investigator the husband-to-be hired, Ms Zhuo, spoke to Singaporean media about it.
Ms Zhuo from Ajax Investigation And Security Services, said she had expected that the customer would use the information she had provided about the bride-to-be allegedly seeing another man to call off the engagement.
Instead, she was shocked to receive an invitation to the couple’s wedding. She claimed she spent six weeks monitoring the fiancée before reporting back on her alleged findings to her client.
Attention seeking Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has in reaction to a post made by On Air Personality, Gbemi, shaded the media personality comparing her to her married mates.
A poll conducted by Gbemi Olateru-Olagbeji on Twitter asked women if they can marry a man with major ‘H’ factor alongside other impressive attributes.
And the actor had something to say… He wrote:
Note, the H factor is a form of deformity for not so fluent English speaking individuals where they tend to pronounce words like “out” as “hout”, “it” as “hit”, “ex” as “hex” and stress on or omit the “H” on words that begin with “H”.
When she was just a teenager, she made a request to God, asking the supreme being that she’d love to marry her first ever and only boyfriend and gracefully, God answered her prayers.
Chimdimma has every cause to rejoice after her prayers were answered – after years of dating, the beauty tied the knot with Olakunle, who was her first ever, only and will be her last boyfriend, last weekend.
Read what she wrote on her social media page below + lovely photos of the couple:
Growing up at the age of 15-16, I remember asking God that when I get older & start dating, my first boyfriend should not only be my first and last boyfriend but also he should be a man after Gods heart so he knows how to love & respect me dearly! Not knowing God really did listen to my prayers. 7 years ago Kunle and I met in church & although we were too young to make marital decisions, we just knew we were meant for each other!!! A lot of people teased me for not having experience dating around but today I am proud to say my first boyfriend really indeed is my last boyfriend. I’m glad I can advise younger girls that dating is not something you should rush into. If you wait on the Lord & let Him pick your partner for you, He will provide nothing but THE best#kaychimmy17

Actress Caroline Danjuma has come out to react to the viral claim that late Davido’s friend, Tagbo, was the father of her last child. Reacting to the news in an interview with SDK, Caroline said:
“I met Tagbo when i was legally divorced and out of My ex’ house to start a new life. Yes we were dating. My daughter is 3 years old and I only met Tagbo last year, so its not possible that tagbo is the father of Elizabeth.
Let us leave sentiments aside, trying to blackmail me to keep quiet will not work or change anything. We need justice for Tagbo. I contacted someone who remembers seeing davido and tagbo and DNA and remembers there was a fight.
This person also told me there was a bet, the same thing my neighbour said. And Tagbo drank 30 shots of tequila and got intoxicated and wanted to drive his car but Davido refused and said Tagbo should drive with him.
That was what i heard and that they drove to G12 beach and got out leaving Tagbo in the car all locked up and that one of the crew members came back saw tagbo gasping for air.
He was taken to general hospital where he was confirmed dead and they left him there. I sent Davido personal messages but he didnt reply until i called him out on the social media and he told me to take down the post and he would tell me what happened.
I took down the post and told him to come to the police station but he never showed up. Tagbos phone and shoes are missing and someone went on Tagbos IG and deleted all the videos he posted of being with davido on that day and eventually deleted the account.
We quickly munched all the videos on snapchat. Tagbo was with Dammy Krane, Davido and Asha asika. Davido knew that Tagbo was dead but kept quiet. He told the Police later that he would have spoken out if i didnt call him out on the social media..can you imagine.
We want to know what happened and how tagbo died. Davido we are not calling you a killer but we need to know hat happened to Tagbo. You owe him this because he loved you like a brother. He took you like a brother. Do it for him.Please.”
Below is a Picture of the TSTV decoder set to be on sale soon.
Meanwhile, TSTV may have run into a storm after its official launch last Sunday, October 1, in Abuja as major global content providers in the area of news, sports and entertainment have accused the pay-TV start-up of piracy, and asked it to stop airing their content.
One of the content providers, Turner Broadcasting System Europe, in a letter to TSTV entitled “Re: Formal notice to imperatively desist distributing Turner’s channels,” dated September 27, 2017, noted that “it has come to our attention that TSTV intends to launch on October 1, 2017 a package of channels that would include CNN.
“In this respect, the distribution and broadcast of the above-mentioned channel in Africa, including in Nigeria, has to be authorised by us in advance.
The distribution and broadcast of this channel without authorization will infringe our intellectual property rights and constitute acts of piracy.”
The letter, signed by a director at Turner, Eleanor Browne, added: “In this context, we invite you to undertake in writing not to distribute CNN, and not to use or reproduce the channel’s trademarks on any advertising or promotional material.”
The letter was stamped RECEIVED at TSTV by one Umana Kufre, dated September 29, 2017, and copied to industry regulator, National Broadcasting Commission, where it was also stamped RECEIVED on September 29, 2017. Turner also copied the Nigerian Copyright Commission. In the same vein, another content provider, beIN, wrote a similar letter to TSTV entitled “Illegal Pirating of BEIN Content: Cease & Desist.” The letter from beIN was dated September 28, 2017, and equally copied to the Nigerian Copyright Commission where the RECEIVED stamp was dated September 29.
The same official at TSTV, Umana Kufre, signed receipt of the letter, and the RECEIVED stamp was also dated September 29. Ditto at the National Broadcasting Commission, where the beIN letter was received with the stamp bearing September 29, 2017 date.
beIN in its letter noted that it is “the exclusive licensee of the broadcast rights to many of the world’s major international sporting leagues and other entertainment content in our various territories,”adding that “other parties are not permitted to copy and re-broadcast beIN content without express authorization.”
The beIN letter, signed by its Director of MENA Legal Affairs, Dr. Mohammad ElSaid requested TSTV within seven days to “cease and desist from selling, copying, making available, communicating, distributing, or otherwise infringing the copyright in any beIN content, within Zimbabwe, or anywhere else in the world; cease and desist from using beIN trade marks.” TSTV was also required to provide written confirmation that it not only received the letter from beIN, but that it has ceased and desisted from infringing activity earlier described.
They’re fake letters —TSTV
However, the new TV provider denied the letters and described them as frivolous. TSTV in tweets on its twitter handle, @tstvafrica, urged Nigerians to disregard the letter as they were fake and an attempt to bias Nigerians even before it begins sales.
“DISCLAIMER!! We are not unaware of the messages circulating in the social media regarding a letter from beIN Sports and Turner. We wish to inform Nigerians that the letters are FAKE and were prepared basically to bias Nigerians.”
Efforts to speak with TSTV promoter and its MD/CEO, Dr Bright Echefu, were unsuccessful last night as calls placed to his two known numbers did not go through; the network reported they were switched off. Healso did not reply to emails sent to him.

Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, was on his way to an important state event, when he got stuck in traffic. This forced him, and his security detail to get out of his car and walk 2 kilometers to get to his destination.
Indonesia’s notorious traffic congestion was on display for the world Thursday after the country’s president was forced to walk two kilometres through the scorching heat to attend a military parade.
Widodo and senior government officials were held up by gridlock as they approached the military parade in Cilegon, a port city about two and a half hours drive from the capital Jakarta, the presidential palace said.
After a 30-minute wait, “the president then decided from inside the car that he would walk,” Widodo’s guard Ili Dasili said in a statement.
The Nigerian Army says those who are following the leader of the now-outlawed IPOB group, Nnamdi Kanu, have entered one chance.
Speaking at the end of a two-day media conference on the military’s enhancement of human rights in Abuja yesterday October 5th, the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, said Kanu is a man with no means of livelihood who deceives his followers using propaganda. He said this while reacting to allegations that the IPOB leader was in the custody of the military.
“There was an allegation that somebody went into hiding. Now, I can’t remember the day but in an interview on Channels TV, one of Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brothers said that he was in hiding and he knew where he was. And one lawyer came up that he has taken the Chief of Army Staff to court.
Now, who gave you the brief? You said you do not know where he (Kanu) is. Now, who gave you the brief? And the media is asking us where is Nnamdi Kanu? Why not ask the man that said so who gave him the brief to take people to court when he does not know where the man is? That is why those people following him have entered into a one-chance vehicle.
This is somebody standing trial in a criminal case. Sometimes, whether we like it or not, we want to stand against the truth. But no matter how long, the truth will come to pass on October 17.
This is an individual without a means of livelihood. I can speak eloquently. So what? If I can speak like him; I can also have my own group, that’s exactly what is happening. So, what is the essence of our education as a people? You know that somebody is in a criminal case, and you believe in him.” he said
The Federal Ministry of Health has advised Nigerians to avoid eating monkeys, bushmeat and dead animals as doing so could open one to the risk of Monkey Pox disease.
A medical doctor and no fewer than 10 persons have reportedly been quarantined in Bayelsa as a result of the virus. The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, said this in a statement by the Director, Media and Public Relations in the ministry, Mrs. Boade Akinola, on Thursday.
Adewole said the disease neither had a cure nor a vaccine, noting, however, that there was no cause for alarm as it was mild.
The statement read in part, “He (Adewole) said the virus was mild and there was no known treatment and no preventive vaccines, hence the public should be at alert and avoid crowded places as much as possible.
He advised the public to avoid eating dead animals, bushmeat and particularly bush monkeys.” The minister also revealed that test samples had been sent to the World Health Organisation (laboratory) in Senegal but the result was still being awaited.
He, however, called on Nigerians, who had symptoms of fever, back pain and rashes resembling chicken pox, to report to the hospital. The statement added, “The symptoms include headache, fever, back pains and in advanced cases, rashes bigger than those caused by chicken pox.”
