A hot-tempered Queens man shot and killed the 34-year-old mother of his newborn son after the couple had a fight early Sunday, cops said.
The boyfriend, 31, shot Luz Cuza in the head outside her home on 147th St. near 133rd Ave. in Jamaica at about 2 a.m., according to police. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where doctors tried in vain to save her.
Cops picked up the boyfriend, identified by sources as Robert Rodriguez, a short time later at 115th Ave. and 225th St. in Cambria Heights. They recovered a .40-caliber firearm, authorities said.
Cuza’s brother, Ray Garcia, was at home with his sister when the crazed boyfriend pulled the trigger. He said the couple had been arguing that night.
“I didn’t think he was going to hurt her because she just gave birth to his son, like, two months ago,” he said.
Garcia was in a separate room when he heard a shot ring out.
“When I go to the front, my sister is laying on the ground with her eye almost popped out,” he said. “She was gasping for air.”
“When I saw that, I knew how much I loved my sister, because I started crying,” Garcia recalled, devastated.
“I said, ‘Don’t worry, I’m gonna save you.’ And I knocked on every neighbor’s house, because I didn’t have my phone with me.”One of the neighbors had already called 911, but the boyfriend had fled.
“He was walking away,” Garcia said. “And he disappeared by the time the cops came.”
Police caught up with Rodriguez, who works as a parking attendant in Manhattan, soon after.

Zainab Sodangi, a newly married bride, has reportedly died a week and few days after exchanging marital vows with her hubby, Sondagi Salim.
Zainab who got married in Abuja on Tuesday the 29th of August 2017 died 10 days later while entertaining some family members who came to honour them at home.

Members of the Agbor Gha Ihun security outfit in Agbor, Delta state on Saturday apprehended a 23-year-old man who gave his name as Emmanuel Ndidi, in one of the new generation churches in Agbor, a few hours after he led a two-man gang to unleash terror at the Sunny Ojougboh area in Agbor.
According to PoliticsNGR, Emma, a native of Ohunmere, said he is a Ghana returnee and was a bus driver in Ghana. He confessed that he delved into robbery so as to earn a daily living.
On why he did not go back to the driving profession, he said that it was the devil that made him not to venture into any meaningful business except crime.
He appealed that he should be pardoned as he will not steal again. He further confessed that one, Chuks Okpehoro, was his accomplice in the operation were about four handsets and other items were forcefully collected from their victims.
On his part, Chuks Okpehoro,23, also an indigene of Ohunmere and a school dropout, said that Emmanuel invited him to be part of the operation which according to him they carried out along Sunny Ojougboh area. He confessed that he has been into crime, but he will turn a new leaf if he is freed.

Youths from Umuahia with the aegis, Umuahia Youth Movement, have issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, to dethrone father of the leader of the now-outlawed secessionist group IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
According to them, if their demands are not met, they would take the laws into their hands by dethroning him, stripping him naked and burning down his palace.
The IPOB leader’s father is the ruler of Isiama Afaraukwu community in Umuahia – the decision of the youths is against the backdrop of the civil unrest witnessed in their community following the clash between IPOB members and the Nigerian Army.
In a letter addressed to the state governor, the youths said they are demanding the monarch’s dethronement because he failed to call his son to order but rather encouraged him in his “madness“.

“With tears and sorrow, the Umuahia Youth Movement respectfully write to request the dethronement of Nnamdi Kanu’s father as a traditional ruler of our clan. It beats our imagination that a man who calls himself a royal father and an elder could not call his son to order but rather encourage him in his madness has have plunged Umuahia city to a great crisis today. Sir, recall that Umuahia have been the most peaceful capital city in Nigeria to live and do business but just because of one man, we are today facing the wrath of the federal government of Nigeria. For the past three days we have been indoors for fear of been attacked by the military just because of one man whose father is our traditional ruler. The youths called for the continued stay of the military’s Operation Python Dance in their community.

Paris Saint-Germain manager, Unai Emery, says he expects Edinson Cavani and Neymar, to reach an agreement over who takes penalties.

A lot of teenage Nigerian girls are increasingly being trafficked to Italy to work as street prostitutes, experts have revealed.
The girls are promised jobs as baby sitters and hairdressers once they arrive in Italy but instead end up on the streets selling themselves for as little as 10 euros (£8.90) a time, terrified into submission by gang rape and voodoo curses.
Teenage girls and young women sitting on beer crates or cheap plastic chairs in dusty lay-bys are a common sight on the periphery of Italy’s major cities, and even along country lanes in places such as Tuscany and Umbria.
Nigerians now make up the biggest nationality crossing the Mediterranean in smuggling boats launched from Libya, and many of the migrants are girls and young women who are destined for the sex trade.
Of the 100,000 migrants who have been rescued at sea so far this year and brought to Italy, 15 per cent were Nigerian.
“There are girls aged 13, 14 and 15 on the streets now – a lot of them are underage. They are so young and they are living such terrible experiences,” said Anna Pozzi, an expert on the sex trade and the author of a book, Slave Merchants.
“They come from desperately poor families. Many have not been to school and are illiterate. They dream of a better life in Europe, they see Italy as a paradise. They are getting younger and younger,” said the author, who has travelled extensively in Nigeria to research trafficking networks.
Some of the women have only the vaguest idea of where they are heading, but worry about having to cross “a very wide river” – by which they mean the Mediterranean.
It is estimated that 80 per cent of Nigerian teenage girls and young women who make it to Italy are forced into the sex trade.
Blessing Okoedion, 29, is one of the rare women who managed to escape the trafficking gangs and speak out against the flesh trade.
She came to Naples four years ago on the promise of a job as a computer technician but was forced onto the streets as a prostitute.
“The number of girls on the street is increasing and some of them are very young,” said Ms Okoedion, who now works as a cultural mediator and wrote a book about her ordeal, The Courage of Freedom. “When I see them out there, I remember my own time on the street. I felt like I was dead. You no longer feel like a person, you feel like a product that is bought and sold. They take everything away from you.
“Even now, when I ask street directions from a man in Italy, often he will say ‘how much do you cost?’”
The young women live in terror of the madams who run them, as well as Nigerian criminals who organise the trade in league with Italian mafia networks such as the Camorra of Naples.
Female migrants are particularly vulnerable to exploitation and violence
Even local churches are involved – Ms Okoedion claims one preacher she came across is a well-known trafficker.
Once they arrive in Italy they are told they must pay 30,000 euros or more in order to win back their freedom.
Over the last three years there has been an almost 600 per cent increase in the number of potential sex trafficking victims arriving in Italy by sea, according to the International Organisation for Migration, the UN’s migration agency.
In 2014, just under 1,500 Nigerian women and girls reached Italy. That number rose dramatically to 11,000 in 2016.
The exploitation “increasingly involves younger girls – often minors – who are already subject to violence and abuse on their way to Europe,” the agency said in a report released in July.
Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Saturday, has warned his political opponents not to fight him as late former President Umaru Yar’Adua who did, died while Goodluck Jonathan was voted out of power.
APC in Kaduna State is going through crises, with senators Shehu Sani and some members of the House of Representatives forming a formidable faction against the governor.

“I implore you to tell me the wrong I did to you and I will apologize. But if it goes beyond today, I will never tender apology,” he added.

A Christian numerologist claims that the world will end next Saturday, September 23rd, when a planet will, supposedly, collide with Earth.
According to David Meade, verses in Luke 21:25 to 26 are the sign that recent events, such as the recent solar eclipse and Hurricane Harvey, are signs of the apocalypse.
The verses read:
“25: There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

So earlier today, Peter Okoye shared new photos on his Instagram page, with a caption that identifed him as simply “Mr P”, this of course was the moniker he used last year, during his nasty feud with his brothers, Paul and Jude.
Recall last year, 2016, Peter went on Twitter to rant, and demanded his elder brother Jude step down as PSquare manager, a decision that almost tore them apart.
Peter claimed his brothers, Paul and Jude are ganging up against him, and they all tossed their family feud into social media.
The feud went on, and Peter started using the stage name “Mr P” while he went on solo performances and even dropped his own single performed by himself. And when his brothers booked a show in Congo using the group name P-Square, Peter threatened them with a lawsuit.
Well, the storm eventually died down and the brothers reunited.
It has been over a year since that nasty affair and seeing that Peter is back to using Mr P again, fans demanded clarifications.
“Anytime you start calling yourself Mr P, that means you have issue with your twin(sic),” said one of them.
Peter wasn’t in a good mood and stroked the concerned folk.
Then another fan told Peter, “Something is fishy”, but then he said: “grab yourself a fish net”

A man with 19 children all over the world has met most of them for the first time. Michael Rubino, a sperm donor, was able to meet his brood courtesy of Inside Edition.
The newsmagazine brought Michael Rubino and the kids together in an experience he said was “very exciting” and “a little surreal.” His children range in age from 16 to 21.
He told Inside edition: “I knew when I was a donor I expected if I was lucky I’d meet two or three. I loved them each immediately when I met them.”
In his 30’s, Rubino, an artist, decided to become a donor to help others start families. Although most donors choose to remain anonymous, Rubino did not mind
“I want to put in my file if any turn up at any time, I’m available. I was looking forward (to meeting them),” he said.
Before he knew it, more and more kids started contacting him and he would write back right away. Rubino was excited to meet his chidlren and all the children were excited to meet each other and also noted their similarities.
At least 11 of them have blue eye, just like their father, and they all have bubbly energy.
Rubino opened his home to the kids. There are photos of each of them around the house. With all 19 kids scattered across the globe, it is believed that social media will help keep them connected.

Recall Wizkid, in some series of tweets, said he’d be taking time off from work, as he is beyond ill, and he needs to take care of his health. He wrote in one of his tweets: “If I die today, I die a legend”

The singer also announced that he will be moving the dates of his US Tour because of some health concerns he’s facing. Wizkid had Chicago, Hollywood, Sugar Land, Toronto and New York scheduled as his stops on his tour.

Daily Post reports that the incident, which occurred at Ogrute, the capital of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, has thrown the residents into panic.
One of the Muslim faithful, who contacted our correspondent from the area said the attack was carried out early Saturday morning.
“I was sleeping in my house when I started hearing some explosive sounds. I reside very close to the mosque.
“As I rushed out, I saw thick smoke billowing from the mosque. The fire was too much; it was burning from every corner of the mosque,” he said.
Asked whether the inferno could have been from power surge, he retorted: “nothing like power surge in this matter. The entire local government has no light for several months now.
“There has been a problem between the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC and Ikem community in Isi-Uzo, and this has disrupted power supply for several months. Prior to that, we don’t even light here; we were cut off as we couldn’t pay high electricity bill.
“We have the belief that it was carried out by IPOB supporters because they have done similar thing in other parts of the South-East since their confrontation with the Nigerian Military began last Monday.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Imam of the Mosque, who confirmed the incident to DAILY POST, lamented that, “we lost all our items to this unprovoked attack.
“From our observation, they brought everything together, including our garments, Holy book, generators, and made sure they all burnt to ashes together with the mosque.
“This is so strange and provocative as we were not having problem with anybody prior to this incident. I’m from this community, just like so many of my members.
“We have been living together with our people peacefully. So, this attack is something we cannot explain.”
While lamenting that their lives were now at stake, they called on the Enugu State Government and the security agencies to intervene.
Also confirming the incident, the Police Police Relations Officer of the Enugu State Police Command, SP Ebere Amaraizu told DAILY POST that “it is true that there was an incident. It occurred around 2am.
“But for now, we are working to reveal identities of those behind the attack. We cannot categorically say that it’s Mr A or B.
“We are one, regardless of religious background and people must stop taking laws into their hands.
“The situation is under control, our men are on ground to maintain law and order.”
DAILY POST equally learnt that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has visited the area.
Ugwuanyi donated the sum of N1million for rebuilding of the mosque.
Fani-Kayode had previously condemned the labelling of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), as a terrorist group.
He said: “How can anyone describe an unarmed group of people as terrorists. As far as I am aware Nnamdi Kanu and members of his IPOB have never killed anyone and neither have they been carrying arms.
“Theirs is a peaceful non-violent struggle in pursuit of a legitimate aspiration and objective.”

Often times I wonder if you read any of my open letters. However, I write this open letter so fellow Nigerians will understand the ache in my heart.

When you came on board I had hoped that yours would be a government that would assist the ordinary people; a government that will turn round the economy and put a smile on the faces of Nigerians.
No, I don’t blame you for the woes that have befallen us, but, truth be told, you have so far spent too much time passing the buck than actually serving the people you struggled to lead. Two years is enough for us to start feeling like something would happen. I can’t believe that as hard and as many times as you applied for this job and you finally got it, this is the best you can do? Haba, baba!
Now you can see the disadvantage of surrounding yourself with incompetent people.
I remember it was your wife who first cried out, warned us that you have been hijacked by the hyenas, jackals, and very suspicious people who don’t really care about Nigeria or you.

Inasmuch as I am aware that the Federal Government is concerned about curbing divisive messages and inordinate agitations within the country, I believe it should be more concerned about safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians in any part of the country.
It is also important to note that though recanted, the October 1 ultimatum issued by some misguided northern youths to the Igbos in the north remains weighty in the minds of many and the atmosphere is hypersensitive to any mishap that could foment such inter ethnic wahala.
Sir, suffering Nigerians are begging you to quell this tension than steaming up the flames of enmity and discord within the country by using force on harmless citizens.

On behalf of all frustrated, hopeless, unsafe, hungry Nigerians I beg you, hear our prayer. As a Father show some compassion and give us hope that this too shall pass away.
