President Muhammadu Buhari will pass through London, where he spent five months on medical leave this year, on his way home from the United Nations General Assembly, Femi Adesina said on Friday.
Buhari will depart for New York on Sunday, his spokesman said in an emailed statement. It will be the first time he has left Nigeria since returning on Aug. 19 from Britain, where he had received treatment for an unspecified ailment.
Spokesman Femi Adesina said Buhari would hold a lunch meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and other leaders, adding: “President Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country.”
Buhari will be accompanied on the trip by cabinet ministers and the governors of three states.
The statement did not say whether he would have medical treatment in London, and the presidency was not immediately available for comment.
The refusal to disclose details of the president’s illness has caused speculation about whether the 74-year-old is well enough to run Africa’s most populous country and biggest economy.
Buhari was in London on medical leave for two months from January, and again from May 7 to Aug. 19.
After the first trip, the president reduced his working day to a few hours, diplomats and government sources said at the time.
Since the second trip, however, Buhari’s office has released a flurry of photos and statements from his engagements, including meetings with his vice president, heads of the armed forces and economic ministers.
According to reports from Naij, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has petitioned the European Union over the ongoing military operation in the South East region of Nigeria.
Kanu, in a letter dated September, accused the Nigerian military of intimidation, torture, arrest, abduction and killing of civilian populace in the southeast.
The letter which was written by the counsel to the IPOB leader, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, was addressed to the secretary general of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, the European Union High Commission, the presidents of United States of America, Russia and Israel.
Other countries addressed are the United Kingdom and France.
In the letter Nnamdi Kanu appealed for the immediate intervention of the UN, the EU, the US and these other countries on the invasion of the military in the region.
Kanu enjoined the comity of nations to prevail on the Nigerian government to withhold further military action in the south eastern states of the country and withdraw ‘the rampaging troops‘ from the region.

The Nigerian Army has debunked claims on Social media that says the army will be totally withdrawing it’s troops from all roads in Aba and Umuahia.
In a statement released yesterday, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman who is the Director Army Public Relations, said the Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, while addressing newsmen in the state, said there would be gradual withdrawal and not the total withdrawal of troops.

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to some stories in the media that it is withdrawing its troops from Exercise EGWU EKE II, crediting such information to Abia State Governor and the General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigerian Army. This is not true. The Nigerian Army wishes to enjoin members of the public to disregards such rumors.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Abia State Governor in his speech stated that “there will be gradual withdrawal of soldiers on the streets of Aba and Umuahia from tomorrow”. This should not be misconstrued as withdrawing of troops earmarked for Exercise EGWU EKE II. The General Officer Commanding 82 Division has not said such thing.
Consequently, we wish to state that Exercise EGWU EKE II is commencing tomorrow as scheduled. Commanders have been instructed to ensure that all hands are on deck to commence the Exercise to its logical completion. We wish to state further that the successful completion of the exercise will dovetail into the various states security outfits till the end of this year.
Members of the public especially in the areas where the exercise will take place are please enjoined to go about their lawful businesses. We wish to also state that we would not allow any individual or group to jeopardize the conduct of the field training exercise through unlawful or criminal activities. Hoodlums and criminal elements are once again warned to be law abiding and not cause any breach of peace.
We hereby reiterate that our troops would conduct themselves in the best professional manner, abide by the Rules of Engagement and Code of Conduct in line with requirements of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any act of indiscipline by any of our personnel would be decisively dealt with. While we enjoin all Nigerians to go about their normal businesses, the Nigerian Army urge all to support the troops as they carry out their constitutional duties and make Exercise EGWU EKE II a success.

A 27-year-old Nigerian woman was fined RM1,500 (N120k when converted to Naira) in default of two months’ jail by the magistrate’s court in Kualar Lumpur for offering sex services to a policeman.

The Nigerian currency, naira, lost N2 to the dollar at the parallel market on Thursday, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. It exchanged for N369 to the dollar, weaker than N367 posted on Wednesday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed to the naira at N478 and N437, respectively.
At the Bureau De Change (BDC), the naira was sold at N363 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N478 and N437, respectively.
Trading at the investors’ window saw the naira closing at N360.50 to the dollar, while it exchanged at N306 to the dollar at the CBN window. Traders said demand for dollar far outstripped supply as usual.
NAN reports that the naira had been battling to remain stable at N365 to the dollar before the forces of demand anther. Some financial analysts had on Tuesday argued that the naira, at N360 to the dollar, was undervalued.
In spite of over 3.6 billion dollars injected to the foreign exchange market by the CBN since February, the naira rate was still struggling to be stable.

The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, during a parade of the dog at the command headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday, said two other robbery suspects, Odunade Olajide and Adeniyi Adisa, sent the dog after their victims.
He explained that in fear, their targets would surrender their belongings.
The CP said after dispossessing the victims of cash and other valuables, the suspects would speed away with the dog on a motorcycle.
He said the men, however, met their Waterloo while attempting to rob a lady of her valuables in Ladipo, as the victim raised the alarm and the suspects were apprehended by the police.
Imohimi noted that their operational motorcycle was also recovered.
He said, “On September 5, 2017, two local criminals, who specialised in robbing people by sending a dog to attack them, were arrested. The suspects would command the Alsatian dog to attack a victim. The dog, in response to the command, would pounce on the person. Gripped with fear, the person would hand over all his belonging to the gang.”
The CP explained that detectives had been on the trail of the suspects, but luck ran out on them last Thursday when they were arrested.
But the suspects denied the allegations, saying they had only gone to buy dog feed when the woman raised a false alarm.
Olajide said the woman eventually found her phone where she kept it, adding that by then it was late as SARS operatives had arrested them.

“There is this viral pictures I have been seeing on the internet. I go[t]to know that the post was from Tunde Ednut. As we all know, we all know that Tunde Ednut has no future. He has no career. We don’t even know if he is a comedian or a singer–maybe an artiste. Because the guy sing, the song nor blow. He did comedy and his comedy nor blow.
I think what Tunde Ednut does now is to laugh at people. We all know that his page on Instagram is so boring. Whenever he wants to make his page busy, he will look for my picture, probably go and edit it and post, so the page can go viral. That guy has no sense. And the only reason he is on my case [is this]: one time, early last year, he ‘toasted’ me, and I was like, ‘what the fuck is this’? I blocked him, and ever since, this dude has been on my case..”
And on and on, Bobrisky dragged the former artiste on his private Instagram story.

The EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested eight suspected Internet fraudsters. The suspects are Samsonre: Olujobi, 28 (a.k.a Mau Rice, Melinda Mcginnis); Abraham Sunday ( a.k.a. Raymond Dodson) 32; Gabriel Ayo ( a.k.a. Robert Mcintosh, Donald Great) 25.
Others are Omotayo Raphael (a.k.a. Michael Black) 25; Semiu Sunday Olawale (a.k.a. J. Cabtree) 23; Dafe Onosigho (a.k.a. Johna Kurz ) 27; Ewiolo Elvis (a.k.a. Morgan Moore), 32 and Usiaka Louis (a. k.a. Anthony Parker, David Smart, Alfred Norman) 22.
They were arrested following intelligence report about their alleged involvement in some criminal activities.
The suspects who were arrested around the Egbeda and Agege areas of the state, were said to have defrauded their victims whom they connected with on some online dating sites, of huge sums of money in different currencies posing as Americans.
Evidence gotten from their emails contain account usernames and passwords of their victims who are mainly Americans. The scammers who are experts at stealing domain names of persons and organizations also use their victims as money moles to transfer monies between countries.
Actress and Singer, Selena Gomez, just underwent a kidney transplant, and she just took to Instagram to tell us of the struggle behind her smile.
She revealed that she had a kidney transplant this summer to help her battle Lupus. For this reason, she hasn’t been able to promote her new music. She went on to reveal that it was her friend who donated the kidney.
“I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of.
