The switch brings one of the summer’s big transfer sagas to an end with the news met with huge excitement in Paris.

Although, It is rumoured that Neymar’s motivation to leave Barcelona is born out of a desire to escape Messi’s shadow and be the main man somewhere else.

Barcelona released a statement earlier today revealing the player and his father had handed in a transfer request.

The statement read:

“The player Neymar Jr, accompanied by his father and agent, has informed FC Barcelona this morning of his decision to leave the club in a meeting held at the club’s offices.

“Faced with this position, the club has informed them they refer to the buy-out clause of his existing contract which as of 1 July totals €222million which will have to be deposited in its entirety.

“Furthermore, in reply to the claim for the contract extension bonus, the club has once again made it clear that the amount remains deposited with a notary until the case is resolved.

“The player remains under contract at FC Barcelona but with temporary permission to not take part in training sessions.”

“My annoying experience at TB Joshua’s church as a first-timer”

So, the story is long.. But it’s worth a read… It was written by, Ivan The Terrible.

So yesterday I went to the Synagogue Church of all Nations.

…For the very first time.

Well…I have been watching Prophet TB Joshua on Emmanuel TV for sometime now and I must say that I find his ministry pretty captivating.

Of course, being someone who believes in miracles,it is no news that I would want to be a TB Joshua fan.The simplicity, and graceful humility the man exudes in his ministrations causes my heart to warm.

Momma is due for return on Friday,so I decided to convince her to let us attend Sunday Service there 2 days ago and experience the raw glory of the prophet!

Ikotun is pretty far from central Lagos metropolis,so I had to arrange for my driver to skip his church and drive us down.

We left home by 3.30am to beat the sea of people that mill in there round the clock.

So here we are on Sunday morning at the popular Synagogue church.Driver finds a convenient parking space, and we all hop out and amble into the premises unashamedly awe-stricken at the impressive exterior decor of the towering buildings.

It’s around 5.30am.

A COLD WELCOME:

As we stroll past the first barricade to enter the front entrance of the church,a group of Ushers accost us,or rather halted us.They ask us if this was our first time, and when we affirmed it was–a mature looking female usher stepped forward and rudely ordered us to go to the back tent, that only full-time members were allowed to come into the main church.

This lady never even offered us a welcoming smile,or warm greetings to somewhat palliate us for all the traffic stress, painfully early wake-up,and hours of road journey we braved to be there.

She just stood there barking commands rudely at us like some aggravated platoon lieutenant calling to order a group of annoying rankless recruits.

I visibly winced at the cold welcome the widely acclaimed Synagogue Church accorded us on our visit, and I could feel the volcano broiling deep down inside me itching to vent.

Mannerless people don’t irritate me as much as mannerless people who don’t consider elderly people when they want to spout their insolence.

Be mannerless to me in public all you want—we can slug it out to the end all we want, and I can give you a healthy piece of my mind. But when my mother or any elder I respect or hold in high esteem is involved, just be prepared cos the bitch in me would be unleashed.

So it was with supreme effort that my mum and the driver dragged me past that saucy group of first Ushers.I was sure I wanted to get my ass back to the car and spirit myself home without further ado.I didn’t drive over 30 miles to come and be treated like horse piss, and I wouldn’t subject my mother to such crap either.

In all my years in this world,I had never seen such rudeness from church workers that were supposed to smile pleasantly at new-comers and welcome them into church.

So past the gate I reluctantly allowed myself to be led, wondering which of the ‘back-tents’ we were expected to walk into–cos there were several tent-like structures splattered around the premises, and not a SINGLE usher or warden to direct us.

The ones with tags we saw who looked important simply waved us aside or outrightly hurried past us when we asked for directions.

They all looked grim, furious and hostile.

Finally after wondering around in disjointed circles like 3 tropical millipedes with Jet-lag,we 3 were told by another new-comer that we had to obtain a permit/pass which would only give us access to the over-flow.

BITCHES AND BAD BLOOD IN THE TABERNACLE:

As we herded into the crowded tent to queue up behind nothing less than 750 random new-comers,I noticed a female Usher yelling at a girl.

Everyone turned in their general direction.

Aunty Usher/women leader was rudely telling the girl that her skirt was too short and she shouldn’t linger around the queue or else she’d summon the police to drag her out of the premises.

I turned to look at the lady being harrassed. Her skirt was a little above her knees, but not overly vulgar or indecent per se.

I also noticed that she had one of the best pair of legs and figures I have seen in this part of the world.
Deaconess mean-faced usher was obviously envious that God wasn’t impartial when he was sharing out body parts and beauty.

But a new-comer?? Embarrassing her like that?Good grief!!

THE WAIT:

I was already feeling unwell by the time I joined the queue.
Eventually,we were carted to another tent and made to seat down for 2 hours waiting for the permits to be issued.

Suddenly a voice boomed out from the public address intercom in the hall and instructed foreign visitors/delegates to move to the left side of the hall, and present their ID cards for reception.

I was seated conversing with my mother when one dehydrated-looking male Usher walks up to me and lightly taps my shoulder,I swivel my neck around to him,and he asks me whether I heard the announcement.

I rooster my head quizzically at him,and he asks whether I’m Nigerian.I am recoiling my tongue in to mouth out some sarcastic retort at the rude clown when my mum intervenes laughing convivially and telling him that she’s my mother and I live in Nigeria.

Stale little prick deliberately ignores my mother and repeats his question to me.
I take a deep breath and bluntly tell him to go and anoint someone else with his mouth odour.I remind him that it’s only about 7am and my lungs deserve better.

Dude obviously didn’t see that coming.

He stands there like the confounded dolt he is,blinking his eyes methodically and saying,’EXCUSE ME?’ on a loop.

Momma is trying to pacify and mediate or explain or whatever when the announcement on the buzzer summons us all to re-queue for our passes.I help momma up and we begin to trudge towards the sea of bodies heading west.I think the Usher is explaining something to his colleague and pointing at me,but I am past caring at this point.

SECURITY HARRASSMENT AND SEGREGATION:

So we’ve obtained the passes and are queueing up again to enter the church from the rear wing and join the worshippers. Men and women are sorted into 2 separate rows where they are thoroughly frisked, and searched before being allowed entry.

My driver is right behind me on the queue, and as the person ahead of me steps into the church entrance archway to be cleared,I overhear the security man asking him where his copy of the ‘service guide’ or booklet is. He says he doesn’t have one and is shabbily asked to step back and return to the tents to buy one before he is allowed entry.

The man starts to explain that he doesn’t have extra cash except his offering and tithe, but the bouncer won’t hear any of it.

He gruffly and impatiently asks the man to step away from the line and not waste the time of others, that nobody without the booklet will be allowed into the church.

I step in to be cleared, and instantly, the head security personnel who is standing a little way off and observing the clearing process rushes forward and takes it up from the bouncer assigned to me.

He(Head security) doesn’t notice that I have a Nigerian flag clutched under my bible, and asks me what country I am from, that I should be on the queue for the foreign delegates.

He looks pretty important,so I patiently show him my flag and tell him I came from Nigeria.

Head security seems to have a problem believing this because he keeps staring at my hair.

Next he asks me where exactly in Nigeria, and I tell him Lagos city.He asks where in Lagos city, and I ask him how that piece of information helps or relates to the exercise on ground? Was there a problem? I came to your church for the first time and I’m being interrogated like a Boko Haram suspect?I frankly tell him that I do not appreciate the unnecessary questions and whether I should return to my car and go home?

A few back-and-forths and I’m through and into the hallway corridor that meanders into the expansive church auditorium.

Meanwhile,Dominic my driver has been asked to step aside for more questioning. He is asked all sorts of demeaning questions, and scrutinized like a homeless drunk who mistakenly stumbled into their church.

The security personnel asks me to move on and join the church leaving my driver to probably be escorted out of the premises into a black-Maria.

I am livid at this point.I walk back to the personnel-in-charge,and ask him why my personal driver is being humiliated that way. It is obvious that people are profiled and accorded respect based on how expensive their clothes looked, and it stunk.

It was apparent that the poor man that drove me down was being looked down on because he probably wasn’t dressed in Gucci designers and expensive accessories.

Eventually,we were let through and joined the line of people hurrying to another dedicated tent for new-comers beside the main church building. I was aghast.

Sweated, queued, endured rudeness from ill-mannered church staff….and still not qualified to sit in the church at the end of the day?

I was numb.

Sat down in the tent with my driver battling dejection, and dialled my momma’s number to know where she was.We hadn’t seen ourselves since we were separated.I was worried how she was faring in the midst of such hostile staff and scathing rudeness.I looked around.

There was not a single usher in the tent to ask for help or any assistance whatsoever. We were bundled like unwanted rags, shoved into a tent and totally forgotten.

All we had were the flat-screen plasmas which televised the Live service in the church auditorium.

THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER

It is so sad the horrible ways church workers can kill a pastor’s labour.

Most of the criticisms, and attacks that Christian churches and pastors receive is largely because of these workers.

They do all manner of despicable things under the umbrella of the church, embarrass and snob new-comers,extort money from gullible first-timer’s without the pastor’s knowledge and so on.

Let’s look at a few specific grey areas in my Synagogue church experience.

(1) Rudeness:
Nigerians are generally very uncivil people. The worst thing that a person can witness is people who were charged with welcoming new-comers to a church turning around and being rude to them.

It is shocking to see a beautiful global ministry like Synagogue church of all nations having such horrible workers strategically placed to receive first-timers.Gauging from what we see on TV,this indeed is an obstinate surprise.

(2) Racial segregation:
The racial segregation in S.C.O.A.N is jaw-dropping.Foreign delegate new-comers are treated like royalty, but Nigerians are treated like the sopping scum of the earth.

So heart-wrenching it is because foreigners treat Nigerians like scum in their own countries, and when we think we can fall back to our own people for more humane treatment,we receive the same treatment from our people.

How distasteful to note that this sickening trend can gain entry into the church as well.

(3) Condemnatory treatment:

Imagine the incident where the lady was embarrassed and sent back because of her supposed shortness of skirt.
Who gave these people the right to dictate who comes into the Lord’s house and who does not?Where do these workers pick up such satanic traits?

Even the bible clearly beckons on sinners to come as they are.In their rags,in their G-strings,in their mini-skirts,in their slim-fit trousers. It is an unforgivable abomination to drive away a new-comer from church on the grounds that he/she was inappropriately dressed.

A church isn’t a place for just the perfect.

a Church should be a place to make the imperfect to be perfect.
. Jesus never died for the perfect. It is for the imperfect that he sacrificed his life on the cross.

(4) Shabby dressing of staff, shabby treatment of invitees and poor ushering structures generally:
I detest seeing people in administrative positions dressing carelessly. One of the reasons I love Christ Embassy church is because of their articulate well-structured system and discipline.

Ushers are neatly suited up with tags, the royal guards, and logistics crew are properly dressed with labels as their departments require. There is an usher on every bend to direct new-comers on where to sit,and so on.

But not in Synagogue.

Staff dress in a disorderly array of casual wears, fly their shirts, chew bubble-gums noisily, wear black gloves like snipers and carry no legible form of identification whatsoever.Plus there aren’t any positioned to attend to newcomers and direct and assist them accordingly.

First-timers are abandoned to wander like lost sheep in the premises while the staff stand by to watch in indifferent disinterest—their attentions only being drawn when they wander into some ‘special’ room, and the ushers have to yell at the poor trespassing soul to get out or be thrown out by security.

Of course, they never fail to remember these ‘unimportant newbies’ when it’s offering time, and emerge from the bowels of the earth like evil spirits wielding bottomlessly deep offering-bags and basins–to vanish mysteriously again after you’ve outlived your monetary usefulness.

(5) Security harrassment, disrespect to elders and humiliating ‘clearance methods’:
I literally watched as a woman in her 80s was rudely warned to desist from coming to a particular section or else she’d be thrown outside. The lady warning her couldn’t be up to 27.

Additionally,no metal-detecting scanners,or bomb threat security measures are taken before admitting people in.

The security personnel simply frisk people roughly in an undignifying manner and shove them inside.Your ‘sacred areas’ are roughed-up,and your spirits are shattered.

Then brutish-looking policemen are standing by ready to drag you to their van if you don’t cooperate.

The entire staff work-force,or would I say–manpower of the church stand around scowling coldly at new-comers with seething and hateful suspicion as if they received intel that they came to cart away the loudspeakers and offering bags.

I saw these and more…and I groaned inwardly.

I am very sure that Pastor TB Joshua is not aware of these horrible ‘misdemeanours’ from the workers under him,and it saddens me to know that he may never know because these malevolent humans will ensure word never reaches him.

I can only sit and hope that a few of his members stumble on this rant of mine and relay it to his executive council or him in person.

Prophet TB Joshua is a great Man of God with a true heart of love for the sick and needy, and God is blessing millions through him..

…but he needs to call his workers to order.

Dear church worker in Redeemed,Synago
gue,Living Faith,Chosen,Assemblies of God etc,..

You think you are superior and loftier because you were placed in a prominent point of service, don’t you?

HEAR THIS…

If these souls you embarrass and discourage from coming into church go to hell because of your sauciness and insolence;and you believe they are condemned to hell for being hopeless sinners—don’t get it twisted.

If these people wind up going to hell, you too will earn a luxury villa in hell as well next to Sani Abacha’s duplex.

Heaven will never condone your vile stench. You are every bit as hopeless as them, and then kilograms more wicked!

You people should stop giving men of God a bad name because of your evil and unruly characters.
How and why would you turn away a first-timer from church?

Is the church your father’s compound?
Who gave you that right?

Are you mad,for sanity’s sake?

Nigerians.

“I am very proud of my breasts” – Ghanaian Singer Sista Afia

Ever since we reported on her decision to kiss 3 fans at the YFM Area Codes Jam in Kumasi a year ago, almost every report about Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia has had to do with sexuality than her music although very talented and it gets us somehow worried.

Well, in a new interview with Showbiz filed by Delali Sika, Sista Afia reveals her selling point is not her boobs although she is extremely proud of them since they are nice and a lot of young girls wish they had exactly what she has.

Read the report below;

Although Highlife artiste, Sister Afia loves to make an exhibition of herself by showcasing her boobs the least chance she gets, she wants to erase the perception that her cleavage is her selling point.

The Jeje singer who leaves little to the imagination with her skimpy outfits believes her talent is enough to keep her relevant whether she covers up or not.

“I just don’t get why people seem to have issues with what I wear and my boobs. People keep asking me if apart from my boobs, I have nothing else to show. For the records, my boobs are not my selling point, not at all. I am very talented.

“I don’t get up in the morning and tell myself, today, I want to show my boobs, no, it depends on how I feel. My boobs, my talent, and everything form part of the package,’ she said in an interview with Showbiz.

According to Sister Afia, though her boobs are not the reason why she is in the limelight, she is very proud showing them.

“I am very proud of my breasts. They are beautiful and nice. Most girls of today are all over looking for ways to enhance their bust artificially and if I am blessed with them naturally, why should I be ashamed of them. Honestly, I am blessed I must say and I won’t trade them for anything.

“Infact, I cannot do anything about the size of my boobs and how they stand out in clothes. I just have to love them and that is what I am doing. I don’t really care what anyone else thinks. So those who have been talking about them, I cannot help you.

“ I remember people had issues with my bikini pictures I released some weeks ago but the question is, what were they expecting me to wear at the beach. If they are not confident with what they have been endowed with by God, I am and I want to flaunt it,” she said.

Sister Afia who is in the studio currently is working on releasing songs with some of the makers and shakers of the music industry in Ghana and beyond.

“I want to come out with a number of songs by the end of the year and I hope to feature some of the big names who have paid their dues in West Africa like Sarkodie, Davido, and Patoranking,” the Borkor artiste said.

Talking about working with AMG rapper, Medikal on her latest song Borkor, she said, “Working with him was interesting and enjoyable. He was spot on with his rap deliveries and knew the right words to use.

“The video shoot was crazy, I wished the day never ended. He had the right attitude and his composure throughout the shoot was amazing. Medikal is a professional, a gentleman and I would not mind working with him again.

Born to Joe Essoun and Madam Perpetual Duncan Williams, Sista Afia said her favorite Ghanaian musicians are E.L, Efya, and Kaakie all of whom she plans to do collaborations with some day.

Songs she has to her credit include Kro Kro No, Borkor, Jeje, Are You Ready, Yi Wani and Due.

Married father of 5 beats his girlfriend to death on her birthday, over infidelity

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old father of five, who allegedly beat his girlfriend to death over suspected infidelity. The incident occurred on the deceased’s birthday—July 28.

Vanguard gathered that the deceased, identified simply as Happiness, visited her lover’s home at 5/7 Michael Osisipi Street, off Banjo Oyewele Street, Ago Palace Way, from where they went to a club around the area to celebrate her birthday.

Trouble, as gathered, started after the suspect, Victor Umeh, sighted Happiness discussing with a man, discovered to be her former boyfriend.

The discussion, according to Umeh, a trader at Ladipo Market, lasted over 15 minutes. He reportedly left the club in anger, leaving the deceased behind. Time was 12.45a.m. The fight On realising that Umeh had left, Happiness went to his house, where an argument that degenerated into a fight ensued. Her shout for help alerted neighbours, including a gateman, identified simply as Adamu. On reaching Umeh’s flat, he was reportedly seen trying to hide a substance, which turned out to be late Happiness’ mobile telephone.

The curious neighbours were said to have searched the flat for the victim, only to discover her lifeless body behind Umeh’s window. Policemen at Ago Division were immediately contacted, consequent upon which Umeh was arrested, from where he was transferred to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department, SCIID.

His family Investigation revealed that Umeh’s wife and five children travelled to his village in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State. Vanguard gathered that immediately after the incident, the suspect contacted his wife to come to Lagos and move his property to the village. One of the neighbours, who spoke with Vanguard, said: “Our gateman allowed her inside that night because she was seen with Victor the previous day.

The gateman was first alerted by the shout for help and by the time he got close to the window, he saw somebody running.

“Her desperate shout for help was intensive, but with time it became faint until it stopped. He tried to escape and hide the deceased phone on a fence so as to make it difficult for the Police to trace her death to him. If he had succeeded we would have been in trouble.”

How we met—Suspect However, during investigation, the suspect denied being responsible for Happiness’s death.

Woman’s breast implants explode after she got involved in horror car crash

A 25 year old model’s new breast implants exploded after she got involved in a horrible car crash that left her “bleeding profusely” and in pains.

Identified as, Becky Bitchenor, 25, she revealed that she is still in agony three weeks on from the shunt in Minsterworth when she was a back seat passenger in a car which was crushed between two other vehicles.

As the force of the crash hit her car, the stitches from her recent boob job came apart and her breast implant surgery completely opened.

She needed another operation to repair them. But she was forced to wait three days before surgeons could do anything and as a result, her breasts got badly infected.

Becky was in hospital for 13 days and as well as the damage to her breasts, she was diagnosed with slipped discs and wiplash.

Now, she relies on a zimmer frame and has to use a walking stick to help her get by as the pain of her injuries take hold.

She told Gloucestershire Live:

“I’m unable to walk unaided – I’m only 25. I’m currently on the list for physio as my right leg shakes when I walk and is completely numb.

“I also had cuts to my head and bruising and swelling inside and outside of my body. I had to stay in hospital without being able to see my son.

It’s been a very emotional journey and I have not been able to sleep at night due to nightmares.”

Becky, who lives in Quedgeley, was the only one seriously injured in the accident.

‘How Side Chicks Are Important In The Society’ – Woman Explains [WATCH VIDEO]

Side Chicks
Side Chicks’ advocate

A bold woman has come out open to proclaim that side chicks are necessary in the society.

In a-20-second video making rounds, an anonymous woman has confidently given her own reason to why ‘side chicks’ are relevant in the society.

Should you’re lost on what side-chick means, it is a mistress; a woman one dates in addition to one’s girlfriend or wife, usually (but not always) in secret.

She noted that for career driven women who don’t have time for their homes, side-chicks are useful to satisfy the sexual desires of their partners.

While the woman believes she can be opposed for her odd position by other female counterparts, she however said that side-chicks should not be marginalized in spite of their posed advantage in homes.

According to a Facebook user, Humphrey Ikechukwu Egonu, an unemployed young man, Mr Jovi Ishaya Nok, returned a lost phone estimated to about N70k to the owner yesterday, 1st of August in Kaduna.

The user, identified to be a Nigerian Lecturer recounted how he lost his phone while jogging yesterday and also shared a picture of the man.

He wrote:

Friends, Nigeria is blessed with kindhearted people.
I set out for my routine gymnasium this morning, hoping to air online, my daughters’ (VIRTUOUS and PUREHEART) Birthday; only to lost my phone in a keke.
It was momentarily miserable, for a proud dad to lost his phone on his daughters’ birthday.
When all hope was lost, I decided to simply dial the number again, after it was initially switched off, alas, I got a voice.
A guy found the phone alone my jogging route but decided to sell it at Makarfi Plaza in Kaduna here. He met his friend to direct him but his friend felt contrarily! It was his friend who switched on the phone to get my call. He insisted on giving the phone worth N70,000 to the owner. He had already received calls from a well wisher to receive the phone from him. He wasn’t even angry that the well wishers called him a thief, according to him! INCREDIBLE!
In delightful fashion, we had to express ourselves at the bank! He doesn’t even have a phone, as his was stolen!
This guy is from KADUNA STATE but has no job. He deserves enormous commendations for his huge sense of honesty and integrity.
His name is JOVI ISHAYA NOK.
Never mind our politicians, NIGERIA is blessed with magnanimous people.

The nuclear family of  Segun Ayodele which include his wife and two children have ben sadly reported to have died as after inhaling the fumes from their own generating set supplying power were found dead after reportedly inhaling fumes from a generator kept inside a toilet in their self-contained apartment.

Last Friday at Obajana apartment in Kogi State, Mr. Ayodele and his family members were said to have put on their generator in the evening at a corner of their toilet before they probably slept off leaving the generator on.

Mr. Ayodele’s business partner discovered the corpses of the entire family upon checking up on Ayodele after his continued absence at the office.

Wole Soyinka Mourns The Death Of Legendary Fela After 10 Years With Indescribable Words [READ]

Wole Soyinka

The Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka employed his literary prowess in describing the death of Legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, a re renowned Nigerian activist and singer.

In commiseration of the singer who died on August 2 twenty years, Soyinka took to his Instagram page early this morning to reminisce the death of his young cousin.

As you know that, Soyinka is an highly sound writer who intentionally defiles the English Dictionary, I implore you a keen interest as you enjoy his remembrance words:

“The news came on my portable radio and it sounded so strange, a floating contradiction that was at once detached from, yet infused with the world from which I had myself just earned a lover’s rebuff. My young cousin, the ‘ abàmì èdá ‘ that the world knew as Fela, was dead. He had not  yet attained his sixtieth year. A naked torso over spangled pants, over which a saxophone or microphone would oscillate on stage, receiving guests or journalists in underpants while running down a tune from his head, in the open courtyard at rehearsals or in any space where he held court – all constituted the trademark of his unyielding non-conformism. Far more revealing than such skimpy attire however was his skin-taut skull and bulging eyes, permanently bloodshot from an indifferent sleeping routine and a dense marijuana diffusion. His singing
voice was raspy, not intended to entice but arrest with trenchant messages. Sparse and lithe, Fela leapt about the stage like a brown, scalded cat, whose  miaaow was a rustle of riffs eased from a saxophone that often seemed better maintained than his own body. Fela loved to buck the system. His music, to  many, was both salvation and echo of their anguish, frustrations and suppressed aggression. The black race was the beginning and end of  knowledge and wisdom, his life mission, to effect a mental and physical liberation of the race. It struck me as a kind of portent – that it was while visiting this distant outpost of my home, Abéòkúta, in Westermoreland, propelled – but quite soberly, objectively – by thoughts of death of that other musician member of my family – the irrepressible maverick, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

A 51-year-old man, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi, has been arrested in connection with the attack on a family of five in Oke Ota community, Ibeshe, Ikorodu by a ritual cult, Badoo.

Alhaji Abayomi Alaka

Abayomi, who lives in the Magodo area of the state was said to be working with the group. He was arrested along with two others, whose names had yet to be disclosed.

PUNCH Metro learnt the arrest led to the discovery of the gang’s shrine and hideout in Agbowa town, Ikorodu, on Monday.

The assailants had killed four members of a family – Rotimi Adejare, his wife, Rita, and two kids – in the early hours of Sunday. The third kid was admitted to the Ikorodu General Hospital in a critical condition.

The suspects had cut the window net of the family’s apartment to gain entry, smashing a stone on the victims’ heads afterwards.

It was reported that the incident became known around 12pm when their church members checked on them to know why they didn’t attend a special church programme held that day.

Our correspondent learnt on Monday that the only survivor had been referred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba.

The Lagos State Police Command, which had earlier distanced the attack from the gang, said on Monday that three suspected members had been arrested.

The command’s spokesperson, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said a joint team, comprising operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, Rapid Response Squad, Special Anti-Robbery Squad and task force personnel uncovered five buildings used by the gang.

Famous-Cole, in a statement, said a shrine and different kinds of charms were found in the buildings.

He said, “The team, which was led by the Commissioner of Police, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, uncovered the shrine of the dreaded cult terrorising residents of Ikorodu.

“The team had earlier arrested one Alhaji Alaka Abayomi, a resident of Magodo, and he has been linked to the cult and the recent murder of the Adejare family of five, who were attacked in their one-bedroomed apartment in Oke Ota, Ibeshe Ikorodu.

“The suspect confessed to know others, who own shrines in the area and led the police to the cult’s shrine in Agbowa town. Different ritual objects and charms were recovered in each of the five buildings in the compound which was fenced with charms to scare away intruders. The compound was always under lock and key. The police also made two different arrests as surveillance has been heightened.”

The command added that efforts were being intensified to unravel more hideouts of the gang and track down other Badoo members.

Court Terminates 10-Year Marriage Because Husband Cannot Satisfy Wife In Bed

marriage

A Mapo Customary Court on Tuesday terminated the marriage contract between Iyabo Adebayo and the husband, Babatunde because of the lack of satisfaction in bed.

The wife, who filed the case for the divorce claimed the husband he is lazy in bed and she cannot longer endure the hurts on her feelings.

She said:

“My lord, I no longer have any feeling for Babatunde again; he is lazy in bed and he can no longer satisfy me sexually.

“For so long, I had been coping with his inability to withstand my sexual urge, but I can’t cope with this any longer.

“My husband is also unable to take care of the material needs of our children and me.

“To worsen the situation, he derives pleasure in beating me at the slightest provocation,”Iyabo said.

On the other hand, the respondent (husband) appealed the court not to end the marriage as he still has love for the wife.

Asking for another chance to improve in bed and please his wife, Babatunde said:

“My lord, please save my marriage, I still love my wife, I will turn a new leaf.

In spite of the marriage which has been 10 years, the husband further appealed for the leniency of the court on the ground of his old age which will make it quite hard for him to find another wife.

“I cannot afford to part ways with my wife now. I am already an old man; I can’t start looking for a new wife at my age”, he said.

President of the court, Mr. Ademola Odunade, however, said that the marriage was dissolved due to irreconcilable differences.

“The court tried to settle the matter between Iyabo and Babatunde, but there was no solution.

“Therefore, in the interest of peaceful coexistence, the union between Iyabo and Babatunde has been terminated.

“Iyabo shall take custody of the four children produced by the union.

“Babatunde shall pay a monthly feeding allowance of N10, 000 for the upkeep of the children in addition to being responsible for their education and other welfare needs,” he said.

Comedian Bovi tackles fan who begged him for money for his child’s naming ceremony

Comedian Bovi tackles fan

Comedian Bovi has tackled a man who begged him for money for his child’s naming ceremony.

The Follower wrote to Bovi, saying;

“Good morning baba, Please I need a help. My wife gave birth last week Thursday. Tomorrow is the naming and I don’t have a dime for the Ceremony. Please help!!! God bless you baba.”

..and the comedian, in his usual way, replied the follower as thus:

“homeboy when you were pushing that baby forth through copulation, you didn’t have to spend. Why should you spend to give the child a name? So if you don’t do the naming ceremony, the child’s name will not be registered? Or the people you fail to entertain will refuse to call the child by name? If you don’t have now, you can always wait till you have. It is not written anywhere that the ceremony is a must or is time bound.”

..and then, the follower wasn’t done yet, he replied Bovi as thus:

“Baba, thank you so much for that. Life is like a ladder, help those you meet on your way to the top. No one knows tomorrow. But I will never pray for your down fall. God bless you, IJN”

Then the comedian, had the last straw:

“You have already prayed for my downfall. But I pray for your “upfall”. Sex and the proceeds thereof are your responsibility especially for naming ceremony.”
