Nigerian Actor, Jim Iyke, took to his Instagram page to share a picture of himself rocking a red beret….but then, one of his followers called him out saying berets are old fashioned.

The Actor who was having none of that, clapped back at him.
Two men who have been ripping off unsuspecting members of the public, by pretending to be blind, has been arrested by Policemen attached to the Imo State University, Owerri.
According to Punch, their arrest came as a result of intelligence information given to the police by some students of the institution.
While speaking to Southern City News, a student leader, Chidi Onyeji, said:
“The policemen attached to the entry gate of Imo State University, Owerri have uncovered swindle activities of a particular group who devise unlawful means to attract sympathy and rip off kind-hearted students of their hard-earned money under the pretext of being blind.”
According to Onyeji, luck ran out on the suspects when one of the policemen called one of the beggars, and on approaching, the cop slapped him and asked him to open his eyes.
He explained that upon interrogation, the two fake blind persons confessed to the crime, saying they took to the crime to make ends meet because they were unemployed.
The suspects had been transferred to the state Police Command in Owerri, where they were being interrogated.
The nuclear family of Segun Ayodele which include his wife and two children have ben sadly reported to have died as after inhaling the fumes from their own generating set supplying power were found dead after reportedly inhaling fumes from a generator kept inside a toilet in their self-contained apartment.
Last Friday at Obajana apartment in Kogi State, Mr. Ayodele and his family members were said to have put on their generator in the evening at a corner of their toilet before they probably slept off leaving the generator on.
Mr. Ayodele’s business partner discovered the corpses of the entire family upon checking up on Ayodele after his continued absence at the office.
The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, told Northern City News on Tuesday that Ayodele had just moved into the apartment located in an isolated part of the area a few weeks ago.
The CP explained that the man who visited the family found the apartment locked and reported to the police after no one responded to repeated knocks on the door.
He said the police had commenced investigation into the unfortunate incident, adding that it was too early to identify the cause of death.
The Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka employed his literary prowess in describing the death of Legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, a re renowned Nigerian activist and singer.
In commiseration of the singer who died on August 2 twenty years, Soyinka took to his Instagram page early this morning to reminisce the death of his young cousin.
As you know that, Soyinka is an highly sound writer who intentionally defiles the English Dictionary, I implore you a keen interest as you enjoy his remembrance words:
“The news came on my portable radio and it sounded so strange, a floating contradiction that was at once detached from, yet infused with the world from which I had myself just earned a lover’s rebuff. My young cousin, the ‘ abàmì èdá ‘ that the world knew as Fela, was dead. He had not yet attained his sixtieth year. A naked torso over spangled pants, over which a saxophone or microphone would oscillate on stage, receiving guests or journalists in underpants while running down a tune from his head, in the open courtyard at rehearsals or in any space where he held court – all constituted the trademark of his unyielding non-conformism. Far more revealing than such skimpy attire however was his skin-taut skull and bulging eyes, permanently bloodshot from an indifferent sleeping routine and a dense marijuana diffusion. His singing
voice was raspy, not intended to entice but arrest with trenchant messages. Sparse and lithe, Fela leapt about the stage like a brown, scalded cat, whose miaaow was a rustle of riffs eased from a saxophone that often seemed better maintained than his own body. Fela loved to buck the system. His music, to many, was both salvation and echo of their anguish, frustrations and suppressed aggression. The black race was the beginning and end of knowledge and wisdom, his life mission, to effect a mental and physical liberation of the race. It struck me as a kind of portent – that it was while visiting this distant outpost of my home, Abéòkúta, in Westermoreland, propelled – but quite soberly, objectively – by thoughts of death of that other musician member of my family – the irrepressible maverick, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Fela Kuti lived between October 15, 1938 and August 2, 1997. he spent his life entertaining humanity with his uncommon style of singing and criticizing the inhumane policies of Nigerian Government.
A 51-year-old man, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi, has been arrested in connection with the attack on a family of five in Oke Ota community, Ibeshe, Ikorodu by a ritual cult, Badoo.
Abayomi, who lives in the Magodo area of the state was said to be working with the group. He was arrested along with two others, whose names had yet to be disclosed.
PUNCH Metro learnt the arrest led to the discovery of the gang’s shrine and hideout in Agbowa town, Ikorodu, on Monday.
The assailants had killed four members of a family – Rotimi Adejare, his wife, Rita, and two kids – in the early hours of Sunday. The third kid was admitted to the Ikorodu General Hospital in a critical condition.
The suspects had cut the window net of the family’s apartment to gain entry, smashing a stone on the victims’ heads afterwards.
It was reported that the incident became known around 12pm when their church members checked on them to know why they didn’t attend a special church programme held that day.
Our correspondent learnt on Monday that the only survivor had been referred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba.
The Lagos State Police Command, which had earlier distanced the attack from the gang, said on Monday that three suspected members had been arrested.
The command’s spokesperson, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said a joint team, comprising operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, Rapid Response Squad, Special Anti-Robbery Squad and task force personnel uncovered five buildings used by the gang.
Famous-Cole, in a statement, said a shrine and different kinds of charms were found in the buildings.
He said, “The team, which was led by the Commissioner of Police, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, uncovered the shrine of the dreaded cult terrorising residents of Ikorodu.
“The team had earlier arrested one Alhaji Alaka Abayomi, a resident of Magodo, and he has been linked to the cult and the recent murder of the Adejare family of five, who were attacked in their one-bedroomed apartment in Oke Ota, Ibeshe Ikorodu.
“The suspect confessed to know others, who own shrines in the area and led the police to the cult’s shrine in Agbowa town. Different ritual objects and charms were recovered in each of the five buildings in the compound which was fenced with charms to scare away intruders. The compound was always under lock and key. The police also made two different arrests as surveillance has been heightened.”
The command added that efforts were being intensified to unravel more hideouts of the gang and track down other Badoo members.
A Mapo Customary Court on Tuesday terminated the marriage contract between Iyabo Adebayo and the husband, Babatunde because of the lack of satisfaction in bed.
The wife, who filed the case for the divorce claimed the husband he is lazy in bed and she cannot longer endure the hurts on her feelings.
She said:
“My lord, I no longer have any feeling for Babatunde again; he is lazy in bed and he can no longer satisfy me sexually.
“For so long, I had been coping with his inability to withstand my sexual urge, but I can’t cope with this any longer.
“My husband is also unable to take care of the material needs of our children and me.
“To worsen the situation, he derives pleasure in beating me at the slightest provocation,”Iyabo said.
On the other hand, the respondent (husband) appealed the court not to end the marriage as he still has love for the wife.
Asking for another chance to improve in bed and please his wife, Babatunde said:
“My lord, please save my marriage, I still love my wife, I will turn a new leaf.
In spite of the marriage which has been 10 years, the husband further appealed for the leniency of the court on the ground of his old age which will make it quite hard for him to find another wife.
“I cannot afford to part ways with my wife now. I am already an old man; I can’t start looking for a new wife at my age”, he said.
President of the court, Mr. Ademola Odunade, however, said that the marriage was dissolved due to irreconcilable differences.
“The court tried to settle the matter between Iyabo and Babatunde, but there was no solution.
“Therefore, in the interest of peaceful coexistence, the union between Iyabo and Babatunde has been terminated.
“Iyabo shall take custody of the four children produced by the union.
“Babatunde shall pay a monthly feeding allowance of N10, 000 for the upkeep of the children in addition to being responsible for their education and other welfare needs,” he said.

HAVE A BLESSED LIFE?I LOVE YOU?
Comedian Bovi has tackled a man who begged him for money for his child’s naming ceremony.
The Follower wrote to Bovi, saying;
“Good morning baba, Please I need a help. My wife gave birth last week Thursday. Tomorrow is the naming and I don’t have a dime for the Ceremony. Please help!!! God bless you baba.”
..and the comedian, in his usual way, replied the follower as thus:
“homeboy when you were pushing that baby forth through copulation, you didn’t have to spend. Why should you spend to give the child a name? So if you don’t do the naming ceremony, the child’s name will not be registered? Or the people you fail to entertain will refuse to call the child by name? If you don’t have now, you can always wait till you have. It is not written anywhere that the ceremony is a must or is time bound.”
..and then, the follower wasn’t done yet, he replied Bovi as thus:
“Baba, thank you so much for that. Life is like a ladder, help those you meet on your way to the top. No one knows tomorrow. But I will never pray for your down fall. God bless you, IJN”
Then the comedian, had the last straw:
“You have already prayed for my downfall. But I pray for your “upfall”. Sex and the proceeds thereof are your responsibility especially for naming ceremony.”
Nollywood twin actresses, Chidinma and Chidebere Aneke popularly called The Aneke Twins, are looking all delectably gorgeous in new photos.
Meanwhile, the twins have also revealed why they aren’t searching for husbands at the moment. They insisted that men should be the ones searching for them and not the other way round.
Speaking to The Punch, the Aneke twins revealed that though they are currently not in any relationship, they would let the public know when they tie the knot with the right men.
In their words, ‘There is a difference between my private life and my public life. That I am a celebrity does not mean people should know about my relationship. It is when we are getting married that we will let them know. For now, we are not in a relationship.
‘We are not searching because the Bible says that he that finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour. We are not searching for men, instead, they should search for us. We cannot be searching; it is in the Bible, how can the woman be the one to be searching for a man?” It is against our belief,” Chidiebere said for the twins.
Nigerian Singer Wizkid’s “past Love” – Tania Omotayo works so hard to lead a low profile life since her bitter separation from Wizkid, but when the model received an awkward note from a male fan who wants children with her because of her race, she didn’t hesitate to share it.
The unidentified man, most possibly a Nigerian, said she is the only ‘white lady’ around his area, and since he wants mix-race children, he thought it was wise to approach her with the grand plan, LOL.
“I want half-caste kids and you are just about the only white lady I know of that can give them,” said the determined man. “I promise to take care of you and the kids. Be a good father to the kids and loving husband to you forever.”
“I promise you everything good.”
Tania Omotayo and Wizkid were a favourite item but they finally split up in 2016 following his endless scandals with babymama drama.
Tania was often ridiculed with bunch of Internet jokes each time the singer’s messy affairs surface on social media, the last strw being when Binta Diamond surfaced with the singer’s son.
Tania ended the relationship, unfollowed him on all social media platforms, dismissed the report that she was pregnant with his child and ignored him when he declared her “his best friend”.
Now, she is leading a low profile life and folks still won’t let her be. In her caption, Omotayo who is kind enough not to publish the man’s details, said, “I am actually crying and laughing.”
Apparently – Harrysong and Kcee’s feud is ending anytime soon.
At the recent Warri Mega Fiesta headlined by Harrysong, the Arabanko singer unleashed hot steam on his former label mate, alleging that he saved the Limpopo singer’s career when the latter (Kcee) split up with former team mate, Presh (of KCee and Presh).
He Sang on the Warri Stage ;
“Kcee tell me say I nor suppose to record o. I remind am say ‘you forget, when KC and Presh broke, you just dey forget o, this lonely Warri boy o na him you meet to help you o‘,”
“I fit no get mama. I fit no get papa. I fit no get brother. But I get talent o. A wicked talent o! You can take everything from me, you can never take my place. Favour is my name.”
This interesting update comes weeks after Kcee slammed Harrysong and former manager Soso Soberekon with a lawsuit, demanding for the enforcement of his ‘Fundamental rights’. The drawn-out feud started in January after the Samankwe singer dumped Five Star Music and launched his own company.
Though they have attempted and failed at peaceful resolution, it is obvious that neither of them is ready to bury the hatchet, especially because Harrysong insists on being independent from Kcee’s company Five Star Music.
Okay… “wailing” is a lil bit of exaggeration but since it’s Bobrisky, it’s fine – after the leak of his “unedited” photos, the Nigerian male barbie doll, is crying out, as he states that the photo was edited to make him look bad. He says it’s the handiwork of his enemies.
He further stated he will start denying his fans the opportunity to take photos with him, as they will edit it and send to selfish bloggers who wouldn’t wait for the truth.
The talented singer and actor , Bankole Wellington popularly called Banky W admonished young artistes to be more hardworking as they yield to their talents.
Speaking at the Nigerian Entertainment Conference, the lover of Adesua Etomi, emphasized the need for youths to support their talents of any kinds with focus, discipline and research in order to make them successful in their respective fields.
In his words:
“Hardwork beats talents when talent doesn’t work up. Ability to generate talent is not enough. You need to be able to put in the work, be disciplined, focused and do a lot of research to make sure you give your talents and contents as much chance to be successful otherwise you will be among the millions of people that will be unsuccessful”, he opined.

It’s been a busy year in the football transfer market as football stars add more digits to their accounts as they switch to other clubs around the world.
While other footballers are making more money in light of this transfers and all, a Ghanaian-Turkey based player has just sealed a rather unusual deal.
25-year-old Mohammed Sumaila, recently put pen to paper as he signs a one-month deal to play for Turkish regional side Yörükalispor for a fee of 10 pounds (4.53 litres) of olive oil.
Ghana’s City FM Online confirmed the signing of Sumaila who has been playing in Turkey since age 20 and has featured for Torbali, Tire, Soma and Gaziemir.
According to the player, the people of the village did not have money so they offered to give him olive oil in return for his services. He agreed to play for them after speaking to former Turkish midfielder, Tayfun Albaryak.
The Ghanaian star also went ahead to explain that his contract was to run for the duration of the tournament after which he would move to join another team for the coming season.
“I am 25 years old and I have been playing football in amateur teams in Turkey for about 5 years and I have been playing football in Torbali , Tire, Soma and Gaziemir teams.
“I transferred to the Kütahya team for next season. I only moved to Yörükalispor to play in their one-month long football tournament in Mudanya.“
“I came to the village team upon the invitation of Tayfun Albayrak and he said that the villagers would give me the olive oil they had obtained from the olives they produced and so, I accepted the offer,” said the player as quoted by www.haberturk.com

The industrial settlement of Obajana area of Kogi State has been thrown into mourning following the discovery of the decomposing bodies of a man, his wife and two children in their building.
The man was identified as Mr. John Oluwasegun Ayodele.
The family of four was suspected to have been killed by fumes from a generator mounted in the house.
The late Ayodele was reported to have been last seen on Friday, July 28, 2017.
Apprehension reportedly set in when the deceased was not seen by his neighbours the following day.
Tension heightened over his continued absence till Saturday evening, with calls to his mobile phone unanswered.
His cousin, Richard Asaje, said the family had gone to check on him at home following the stench that was emanating from Ayodele’s house.
Consequently, policemen from Obajana Division were alerted and when the door was forced open, the decomposing bodies were discovered.
Asaje explained that the generator fume was suspected as the cause of death.
“The incident happened between Friday and Saturday. It should be around 12am of Saturday.
“He put a generator inside his toilet and locked the door. The house is a concrete building and it was discovered that he locked the window.
“Unfortunately, we never knew something had happened the second day, so we forced the door open following the stench emanating from the house.”
The deceased’s cousin said their remains had since been deposited at the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja.
“The husband should be around 35, but the wife is less than 30 years. The daughter that died was around four years and the last born, a boy, was about three months old.
“To us as a family, it is a shocking thing; but there is no suspect because their deaths were caused by the fume of the generator. It has indeed thrown the family into serious mourning mood,” Asaje noted.
He said the victims would be buried on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Obajana Cemetery.
Describing the incident as sudden and unnatural death, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP William Aya said, “Four people died and we got the information.
“The Divisional Police Officer went to the place and evacuated the bodies to the mortuary.
“The cause of death is yet to be ascertained. It is the autopsy that will ascertain the cause of the death,” Aya said.
Meanwhile, the Kogi State Government has sent a team to Obajana to investigate the circumstances that led to the death of the family of four.
Speaking about the issue, the Commissioner for Environment Kogi State, Mrs. Rosemary Osikoya, said in Lokoja that the ministry would liaise with other agencies in the sensitization of the public on the dangers of carbon dioxide in the environment.
“Looking at it from the environmental point of view and the circumstantial evidence available, when a generator is put in an enclosed place — if what we hear is correct –fresh air will be locked out. So, that could lead to poisoning.
“But until the investigation is complete, there may not be much we could do other than to sensitize the public that it is dangerous to put generator very close to where people are sleeping.”

Popular Nigerian talk show host, Frank Edoho’s, Sandra, a mother of three has a thought provoking question for y’all – the stunning lady has taken to social media to ask the public what age daughters should be taught having sex for money is bad.
According to Sandra who has a 13-year-old daughter, the question has become of dire necessity because “little boys and girls” in private jets, expensive hotels and vacations is now interpreted as success.
She wrote:
At what age do we begin to teach our children, especially the girls & the BOYS of course, that having sex for money is so NOT the way to go! In today’s world, this seems to be cool! Little girls & boys on private jets and exotic vacations & expensive hotels and loads of instagram likes seem to equal to success now! When do we begin to instil this value! I am about to have the talk with my 13 year old daughter, how do I even begin?
A lady has shared a touching story about her fiance stood by her in trying times after being involved in an accident which left her bone broken.
Despite her condition which left her bedridden, her man never left her side even when he was told to as he also took care of her hospital bills and other expenses.
Read the story:
It’s a long story I hope someone gets inspired with it.Am a young girl in her early twenties,I went to Delta state university Abraka. In the year 2013 I got admission in to the university but due to some financial issues was almost loosing hope then our part cross.
I met this young Man Kc on a friends birthday party we got talking exchange numbers, each time he calls we spend time talking from there I told him about the problem I was facing at that time he said don’t worry I will pay your acceptance fees will get an accommodation for you then before the time runs out .
I will raise your school fees he said I was shocked because he was just 22years just finished school but already working and also his from a wealthy home so I told him to come to my house to talk to my mum so she don’t feel I am on the street now.So he came talked with my mum and told her I will see your daughter through school, will pay her fees ,pay for her accommodation, buy her books give her feeding money with God on my side will do all that. My mum said no but after much crying from me she accepted I got in to school 2013 with all his helps I never lacked for one day .We started dating officially 2014 still yet nothing changed he kept to his words so it was my turn to keep to mine,I told God give me the strength to be Faithful to find reasons every new day to love this young man not because his helping me but the fact I want to do so.
Hmmmm it was not easy with all the temptation in the university I still stood my ground because all he has ever asked me apart from sex which I gave willingly to him he asked me to me truthful always and faithful that’s all he asked which I feel was not too much so placed my priorities straight.
I am here for school and I have a man waiting for me back home, fast forward to 2016 I was in my finals my second semester in my room a friend came in to my room asked me to go with to the market we left on our way back home we had accident. Dear I could not believe my self I broke my left femur 2months to my final exams my project was not completed either I could not cry I just watched as my life turned around, but I told my self I will write this exam I will finish my project too so I started treatment in school my bad. I went for native treatment because I was sacred of the scar I will have from the surgery but I was so wrong because from April till July 4 the bone did not heal with the pain and all I finished my project.
My people asked me to come home I told them no that I will write this exam which I did I was carried to the exam hall the last day when my mates were shouting. I was crying but I was still happy that I am still alive I came back home with my broken bone with hopes it will heal if I changed my place of treatment so August 13th .I went for a new native treatment we were asked to bring one hundred and fifty thousand after much begging.
My man agreed to pay he never left my side for once he stood by me he was at every prayer house for me ,he kept saying to me in my sick bed” you will be fine ,I am not going anywhere no matter the out come”. Let me not lie I did not believe I thought my life has ended that I can never walk again from August till January25th 2017 I was still in my bed the bone was not healing, so on January 25th I called him I told him how I appreciate all he has being doing from 2013 till date how he stood by me even with his friends and some family members telling him how a liability I am to him he still stood by me ,that he should not waste his time on me that I can’t walk again he should go and live his life. I gave him reasons why he should go and stop helping me after talking he said no Wahala if that’s what you want but I made a promise to God and I intend to keep it until I find a solution ,I am not leaving you like this.
February 4 I checked in to a private hospital because I was so sick getting to the hospital the doctor said I will run different types of text and I will go for another X-ray for my broken bone which I did and the MD of the hospital brought a consultant and he told us he can operate on my leg that it’s not damaged yet but might be short due to the delay that it all depends on what he sees when he opens up,we asked how much he said eight hundred thousand, my mum started crying how can we come up with such amount of money and My man came up and said ” I sold one of my properties ,I have payed already “.
Jezzzzz I could not believe it God did it again, so February 4 I went in for my surgery after 7 to 8 hours I came out with pains but alive again I was moved to a private ward which I stayed for three weeks because my man said please let her stay, so she can be taken care of so no complications will come up after a while the doctor said I am fit to go with my surgical cast but still in one place. Then I held God tight ,I prayed I fasted I told God I want to be a living testimony and He Answered me May19 my Surgical cast was removed and I got a physiotherapists that comes to the house, which he payed fifty thousand monthly.
With time I was able to match my leg little by little June 30th I went for X-ray and the bone had healed not just healed but same length with the right.I started walking on the 28th day of HALLELUJAH FESTIVAL I wanted to walk round and shout on my voice so I told God I am going to walk and I did even with the pains though I still feel pain and I am still on my physiotherapy but I walk around and do my daily work and My Man still standing by my side .
We are not married but just got engaged God answers prayers. Thought I share my testimony because Chisom your Wall kept me going and I learnt a lot thanks very much God bless you and your people.
Nigerian footballer, 20-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho, who is speculated to be going to Leicester City this season, might be facing a two years jail sentence in U.S following the accusation that he mislead a Pennsylvanian court.
Kelechi Iheanacho, who was dragged to court by previous representatives, American-based First Eleven Management, but pulled out of a contract with them two years ago to sign with Stellar, filed pleadings denying that he knew or spent time with Henry Galeano, who on his on claims said he is his former agent.
According to him, he thought Galeano was an alias used by First Eleven Management co-owner Robert Zanicky. But the football agent was the company’s registered FIFA-licensed agent.
However the American court has been handed photos and documents which suggested the Nigerian striker met Galeano on many occasions.
According to SUN UK, the crucial legal question for Iheanacho, will be if the young star did more than merely meet Galeano or happened to be with him on occasions. It certainly seems clear they at least met.
Here are photographs of Iheanacho with Galeano obtained by SunSport
1. In Minneapolis during Manchester City’s 2014 pre-season tour.
2. In Columbus, while training with MLS club Columbus Crew that same year.
3. In New Zealand in 2015 while representing Nigeria at the Under-20 World Cup.
4. At the Etihad Stadium while signing a new contract with Manchester City after he turned 18.
In his court affidavit, Galeano said: “For the avoidance of doubt, Iheanacho and I have spent hundreds of hours together.”
He also added: “Robert Zanicky never used my name as an alias.”
Galeano claims he became Iheanacho’s official Fifa-licensed agent in July 2013 after both men signed a Representative Agreement.
The legal battle is also reported to be a bit complicated because Galeano in the signed and sworn affidavit submitted to the court, claims he spent “hundreds of hours” with the player.
Under Pennsylvania Law, if it is found Iheanacho knowingly tried to mislead the court, he could be charged with unsworn falsification which, if found guilty, carries a penalty of up to two years in prison.
