The Niger Delta Forest Army group based in Ondo state has claimed the responsibility for the abduction of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla in May, 2017 and have again threatened to attack fiercely if the Federal Government does not grant amnesty.
In a statement released by their spokesman, General Bossman Koniwei, the group expressly stated that they only released the six students with expectations of the FG to yield their demands of amnesty and if this is not granted, another attack will be inevitable.
Meanwhile, they nullified the claim of the Lagos State Police Commands that some of their members were killed during the rescue mission of the school children.

“We want to use this medium to state that none of our men was killed in the build up to the release of the six students as claimed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and the government of Lagos State.
“We only laugh at them listening to their claims and attempt to take glory for something they knew nothing about.
“We released the students to Ondo State deputy governor because we knew he will pursue amnesty for us.
“Lastly, we wish to inform the Federal Government that we are prepared to drop our arms and embrace peace but will be ready to face any ignored.
“This is the last chance for permanent peace. We shall return deadlier if nothing is done,” it added.

Militant group, Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA), has threatened to declare a breakaway republic in the region on October 1.

After experiencing the heartbreak of a miscarriage last year, 34-year-old transgender man, who was born a girl, Trystan Reese and his husband, Biff Chaplow finally welcomes their first biological child, a bouncing baby boy, Leo.
The Portland couple shared their elation over the news with several news outlets, with Trystan telling WGN9 he was ‘overjoyed’ and ‘elated’.

Do you remember the 9-year old boy who was rescued by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) after he was chained and held captive in the premises of a Celestial Church in Ajibawo, Ogun State?

Safe in the custody of security operatives, the boy spoke up and narrated how he was maltreated by his own people.
“I was not fed regularly when I was chained. My father and my step-mother only fed me twice a day. Some days, I was not given any food. I want to go back to school because I want to be a doctor in the future. I also do not want to go back to my father’s house,” the boy said.
Korede was reportedly chained inside a room in the church since January of this year, and his rescue was made possible by neighbours who tipped off the security agents. And his father has been arrested.
The boy looks healthy now, and even happier. The wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, took up sponsorship of the 9-year-old, and he looks so good 1 year after.

A young and pretty lawyer, identified as Barrister Ngozi Nmadu, was a victim of the fire accident that claimed the lives of over 20 persons in the Felele area of Kogi state last Friday.
This young aspiring lawyer was among those killed in the fatal road accident involving a bus and a petrol tanker in Lokoja, Kogi state.
Recall that an 18-seater bus and a petrol tanker collided last Friday in Kogi causing an explosion that led to the death of the victims.
The accident claimed at least 20 lives with many people seriously injured and about 10 cars burnt.
Many of them were burnt beyond recognition.

A man’s move to have his penis enlarged has cost him his life.
A 30-year-old man in Stockholm has died from a surgery to increase both the length and breadth of his genitals using a process where fat is transferred from his belly to his penis.
Describing the case in the Journal of Forensic Sciences, surgeons explained that the elongation portion of the surgery had been finished but things went wrong during the enlargement part, which involved injecting the patient with two fluid ounces of his own fat cells.
Fat was said to have leaked into his veins and traveled to his lungs, which resulted in a lung embolism, rupturing his blood vessels.
The patient, who was found to have no prior heart conditions, ended up having a heart attack on the operating table.
Despite attempts from doctors to perform CPR, the man passed away two hours later.
The conclusion of the study said:
“This is the first described case where a seemingly simple and safe procedure of penis enlargement by autologous fat transfer caused sudden death in a healthy young man.”
5 Kenyan girls, Stacy Owino, Cynthia Otieno, Purity Achieng, Mascrine Atieno and Ivy Akinyi, are in line to win a $15,000 prize for developing an application helping fight Female Genital Mutilation – which is prevalent in parts of the country despite being illegal.
The five girls – aged between 15 – 17, are the sole African representatives at the Technovation event to be held at the headquarters of Google in California, the United States.
Their app is known as the I-cut, its main aim is to put an end to FGM. I-cut presents a total assistance mechanism to girls at risk of FGM.
It also connects victims with rescue centres and gives legal and medical help to those who have been cut.
Its simple interface has five buttons – help, rescue, report, information on FGM, donate and feedback – offering users different services, Reuters reports.
The international Technovation contest, is a platform where girls develop mobile apps to end problems facing their communities.
Technovation, is sponsored by Google, Verizon and the United Nations, aside promoting tech innovation among girls, it aims to teach girls the skills they need to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders.
One of the girls, Stacy Owino, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation:
“FGM is a big problem affecting girls worldwide and it is a problem we want to solve,”

A man, identified as Hyacinth, was caught in the middle of the night wearing the bra and pant belonging to his 7-year-old neighbor while chanting her name, reportedly for ritual purposes.

Fidelis Chidi Blog recalls that the traditional ruler of Otukpa, the headquarters of Ogbadibo LGA of Benue, Chief Sir Sunday Ekele JP, has banned intending grooms in the community from spending more than N100, 000 on traditional wedding.
The decision became imperative following complaints from young men in the community that outrageous bride price has been discouraging them from getting married.
The monarch, Otukpo, who made this known on Thursday, July 20th, while speaking on a live programme on Joy FM, said any one found flaunting the new law would be penalized.

The Biafra Zionist Federation, BZF, has announced that an interim government has been formed to run the affairs of Biafra as they revealed that south eastern states have been split from Nigeria.
The announcement was made today, July 31, by the self-acclaimed President of Biafra, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka during a press briefing in Enugu.
The Lawyer, who was arrested in Enugu in 2014 after his group stormed the Enugu State Broadcasting Service for the purpose of declaring Biafra Republic, said the interim government will last for 30 days.

Onwuka also announced that the Israelis would hold the positions of defence, agriculture, internal affairs, Inspector General of Police and Air Force, adding that they would also take 25 percent of the civil service job in Biafra.
He said:
“Israel will be key players in this government because there is so much corruption in Nigeria; so, they are coming to help us clean the system. They are coming to sweep the system. They will challenge agro-revolution and also abolish corruption very easily.
“Same goes for America; their companies will be in control of our oil industry. This is to reward them for what Obama did for us; Obama saved us even when we were in detention; they already passed death sentence on us even without our knowledge, but Obama’s intervention saved us.”
Onwuka called for all Biafrans who work in the Nigerian armed forces to withdraw and join the Biafran security forces.
He said:
“I am also calling on the avengers, the militants to come out from the creeks and join us to defend and protect Biafra. I’m beckoning on Asari Dokubo, Tompolo, Ateke Tom to come out and join us. I am calling on all our boys in Biafra land to come out. I’m not afraid, the US is with us.”
He also accused the Federal Government of Nigeria of “Islamizing the Biafra Republic” and vowed to resist such.
He added:
“The Biafra people will not allow themselves to be Islamized; 1967 will no longer be allowed to repeat itself. According a Citizen Reports, the jilted husband took to social media to expose the illicit affair of his wife and her lover.
He shared the photos and wrote; “A married Mabvuku woman ku lodge nechikomba murume ari kubasa vaitorana mapic mukadzi akanganwa kubvisa mufoni.”

In the 8-minute video posted on Facebook, Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jnr who many have described online as South Sudan’s ‘HushPuppi‘ talks about how he is donating the money to a church in Kenya and he says he is also giving money to the Red Cross in Kenya an South Sudan.
Malong, who is also known as the Young Tycoon, does not talk about how he made the money, but is heard complaining that people criticize him for showing off about his wealth but fail to mention his charitable donations.
He says there is nothing wrong with talking about wealth and cites US President Donald Trump as someone who is not embarrassed about how much money he has. “I’m like Donald Trump,” he says.
Two Ghanaian nurses identified only as Tracy Ewurama Marcel and Ramatu have lost their jobs for ignoring patients to go live on Facebook while at work.
The viral video of nurses on Facebook live was shared by Ghanaian news publication, Adom FM, on their Facebook page.
Reacting to the viral video, the management of the Royal MMR Hospital, where the two nurses worked, said they were shocked and appalled by the fact the two nurses “choose to do Facebook Live while at work and responded to comments at the expense of patients waiting to seek health care”.
A doctor with the hospital, Dr. Mohammed Donkor, however, confirmed to Adom News that the two had been fired by the management of the hospital as their conduct was in breach of company regulations.
Trudy and Ramatu were reportedly employed as health assistants at the health facility and had no knowledge that their conduct was against hospital rules.
A beautiful young Lady, Sochima Amanda Iloka, a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa passed on yesterday after a brief illness.
According to friends on Facebook, the deceased popularly known as “Soch Money” suffered from malaria before her death. See a post by one of her friends below:

She was my senior in secondary school then, she left this world yesterday after a brief illness (Malaria), MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE AMEN.
It is really a sad news that a young lady with a bright future like her died but the truth is that no one can reject death, I have been thinking about her demise since yesterday, I was saying that “she is too young to die”, then I remembered that there are some people that are more younger than her that are no more.
This is just to remind us that we are on a journey in this world, no matter what we are doing on earth, let us keep in mind that no one knows his or her date of death, some people would be wondering how an ordinary malaria can kill someone, my dear, if God says it’s over, an ordinary sneeze can take you away, her death really touched me and it shows that we are nothing on this earth, we are dust and we shall return to where we belong, only the spirit will go for judgment.
Let us not relent in being careful the way we live our life, everyday is not Christmas, one day you might wake up and see your body lying on the bed and you can’t go back to it, death is a respecter of no one, if you like be rich, poor, beautiful, ugly, it doesn’t matter, what matters is where we would spend our life eternally.

On Saturday a photo of Peace, a young girl with multi coloured eye balls became a trending topic.. The photographer who took her photos and shared it online has revealed that she was shocked beyond words when she went back to Mile 12 market to do a proper photoshoot of the girl.

I can’t believe how ignorant and envious people can be… I went to meet peace where her mum sells Ugwu and I was almost eaten raw by the Ugwu sellers there… I was so disoriented!
Peace’ Mum didn’t complain, I already spoke with her Dad and he was grateful but these women couldn’t hide their jealousy, they made a scene and almost tagged me a kidnapper…people started gathering.
The envious Ugwu women said they saw her pictures everywhere on the internet that she was too young, I asked them if she was too young to be successful?
These women were trying to convince her mum not to allow me take her to the studio for professional photos. They even blamed her for allowing me to take the pictures in the first place.
That’s when it became so obvious that it was jealousy! she said
