Last night, The Lagos state police held an outdoor security meeting with stakeholders in Ikorodu at Sabo Junction, opposite Ojokoro Cemetery, with the primary aim of fetching a solution to the increasing attacks carried out by members of the deadly cult group, Badoo.
The meeting had an attendance of Onyabo Vigilantes in Ikorodu headed by Chief Bombata, the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, Traditional Leaders (Osugbo / Olomba), Religious Leaders and Baales of the different Communities, Lagos Commissioner of Police, representatives of the 174 Army Battalion,
Odogunyan, Ikorodu, NAVY, NDLEA, DSS, and the OPC members.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police vowed that members of the cult group would soon be apprehended and flushed out of the town. He called on the residents of the community to stop all acts of jungle justice.

The Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu suggested that the Nigerian government should sited a prison in the Boko Haram’s base, Sambisa Forest.
At the commissioning of the anti-graft agency’s zonal office in Kaduna yesterday, Magu said that convicted persons of corruption within Nigeria should be sent to the home of the terrorist sect as they do not deserve to live among Nigerians.
Ibrahim Magu
“We want to call for the establishment of a prison in Sambisa forest in order to keep away corrupt people from our midst”, he said.
He also sought the cooperation of the judiciary in combating corrupt practices within the country and fight down sabotage against attempt to water down EFCC’s efforts.
“In this case, the judiciary has direct influence to help in the fight against corruption. Concerted efforts are being made by some big Nigerians to neutralise the fight against corruption.
“We must change the narrative by fighting back those who do not want the fight to succeed”, Magu posited.
Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state was however commended for hosting a zonal office of EFCC in the state.
“I remain committed to the fight against corruption and I commend the Kaduna state governor, Nasir el-Rufai for encouraging EFCC to establish a zonal office in Kaduna”, the EFCC Acting Chairman said.
“We must, therefore, join hands together to kill corruption before corruption will kill us.”
“This is the reason I have suggested that we set up prison for the corrupt in the Sambisa forest, where they can be kept away and have the sobriety to be truly reformed”, he restated.
Adding to these, Ibrahim Magu is being despised by the legislative arm of the government as members fail to confirm him as the Chairman of EFCC despite Presidency’s several appointments.
Following the invitation sent to former President Goodluck Jonathan to explain his alleged role in the OPL 245 Malabu Oil deal, a member of the House of Representatives, Mr Diri Duoye, from Bayelsa, has threatened to beat up Mr Razak Atunwa on Thursday.
He is apparently disturbed as the direct representative of the former Number One citizen could not contain himself any longer at the end of a public hearing sent a warning signal to Atunwa that he should be ready for a showdown.
He confronted his colleagues, in a loud voice saying:
why on “earth should he summon a former president to testify, can such an invitation be extended to former president Obasanjo
But another lawmaker from South West, countered him saying:
”there’s a window to it let’s see how it plays out.
Duoye while shaking his head responded:
”I don’t think I can restrain myself from not beating him up which window are you talking about and where is it done that a former president is being ridiculed like this.
President Mohammadu Buhari has just broken a record with the name ‘Buharism’ in the language dictionary.
According to Wikipedia, Buharism is a term ”rooted in the politics of Nigeria, referring to the economic principles and the political ideology of the military government of Nigeria headed by General Muhammadu Buhari from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985.”
”This ideology shares common features with fascism; the government was a right-wing nationalist government that
pursued corporatist economic programs and curtailed personal freedoms. Economic reforms were characterised as moving the political economy away from the control of a “parasitic” elite,
and into the control of an emerging “productive” class.
“Buharism represented a two-way struggle: with external global capitalism and with its internal agents and advocates.”
To add, the ailing Buhari is still in the United Kingdom ‘recuperating’ over his illness.
While addressing elders and chieftains at his Residence in Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State on Thursday, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has said that his organization will kill former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, if he attempts to harm the IPOB Leader.
This is coming after Obasanjo on Tuesday while speaking at the International Conference centre in Abuja, made a comment urging Nigerians to do every possible to stop the campaign for the secession of Biafra.
He stressed that a failure to put an end to the Biafra agitation could lead to a repeat of the 1966 coup and the other events that eventually culminated in the civil war.
The Biafran agitator responded with a threat to the former president,
“I remember Obasanjo calling us names. They said we must eliminate Kanu and for those words coming out from his mouth, he is going to die,” Mr. Kanu declared.
“I told Obasanjo that I have given instructions to IPOB should anything happen to me. Everything that comes from Obasanjo’s lineage will die the same day at the same time. It is a standing instruction to IPOB.
“Wherever they are, we will kill them ourselves at the same time, the same day, 12 noon, wherever we find them all over the world. I am not like anything they have seen before,” Mr. Kanu boasted.
Cynthia Morgan has again involved herself one way or the other in the Ongoing Feud between Davido, Wizkid and Tekno.
At first, she claimed the public call out between Wizkid and Davido was staged.. Now, she has dragged MC Galaxy, who got involved also somehow.
Recall MC Galaxy came for Tekno, after the latter traded few words with Wizkid. Galaxy noted that Tekno is an “Ordinary employee”, and he shouldn’t have a say with what’s going on.
Galaxy wrote;
Funny how CEOs who control 100% of their income are talking while an ordinary employee that rarely takes home 20% is trying to interfere. Abeg stay humble! We know say you never reach their levels. Let’s just sit and watch because if two Elephants dey fight, Na ground dey suffer am.
You make hits, we make Money! #SHUPE
Now, Cynthia Morgan has also reacted to Galaxy’s note to Tekno. Read Morgans’ full note below;
“The Nigerian entertainment industry is so immature. led by leaders who are not truly leaders. If you want to be leader you can’t be everyone’s friend. I see mc galaxy saying something about lions and 20percent. Yo bro you know I like you a lot but you need to shut up. every lion was once a cub. and btw it’s easy for anyone to call themselves lions.the real lions don’t need a description. By their prints you shall know them.”
She continued: “MC galaxy called me when he decided to make it a public affair to ridicule an artiste or a human due to what he earns. a mans worth isn’t about what he earns. it is about who he is. I don’t see leaders in this generation of so called artistes, all I see is entertainment bullies who took their savage characters from classrooms to top positions. and they keep getting in their feelings on a regular. The best artistes are not the big artistes (you time will come and go and the industry will remain) Bear in mind.

Nollywood Actress, Oge Okoye has been busted for increasing the size her her Butt with Photoshop..
In a photo making rounds online, the actress was pictured posing in front/back of a gate, rocking her leopard-print gown, with her “hips”/”butt” visibly bigger than usual.
But then, looking closely at the butt, you’d notice the gate also is a bit curved, and it’d take no expert to know the picture was photoshopped.
Had it been the picture wasn’t shared by the actress herself, we’d draw conclusions that this was done by a troll to tarnish her image.. But then, the actress shared the picture herselff on her Instagram.
Oh well, this is the third time the actress will “trend” for controversial reasons.
The Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, July 5, 2017, arraigned the duo of Oseyomiwobor Marvelous and Idede Stanley Oghenetejiri before Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel of the Federal High Court, Oyo State sitting in Ibadan on a Four-count charge bordering on Conspiracy, forgery and obtaining money under false pretence.
The fraudulent activities of the defendants got exposed following a petition received by the Commission alleging that the defendants and others (still at large) are members of a syndicate who operate a website to defraud unsuspecting air travellers who preferred to make bookings online.
The case has been adjourned to October 19, 2017, for trial.
Banky W has intervened! Daddy has finally waded into the ongoing Drama between Tekno, Wizkid and Davido, He’s reminded the artistes that nothing beats working together.
Let’s refresh your memory, just incase you’ve been sleeping on Okada!
Tekno joined in the beef after Wizkid dragged Davido for dissing him on Olamide’s song, Summer Body. “Na just time, soon we go know who international pass” Tekno wrote, then dragging one of the singer, Wizkid perhaps, to go for HIV Test.
Then starboy, responded to the singer, and urged him not to interfere with matters that’s way beyond him. “Good morning, Ducks don’t play where lions play! Enjoy your day my people!” – Wizkid wrote on Twitter!
Tekno of course fired back, “Lions are animals! and humans don’t fight… be your brothers keeper! RARA O #allloveonthisside.”
Wow see how everybody is waiting for me to tweet! Too blown ???
Many folks in the music community dragged Tekno for buying some shares in the beef that was never intended for him in the first place.
The whole drama between these 3 of course drew the attention of Banky W, Wizkid’s former boss, who quickly took to his Instagram to call out all the artistes involved in the drama, drawing inspiration from Jay Z’s campaign for black excellence.
“What’s better than one billionaire? Two,” he began, referencing Jay Z’s 4:44, adding, “What’s better than one of our Artists conquering the world? Two? Three? 10?? All?? Wish we would all just quit the mud slinging and get back to pushing the movement forward.”
He continued, “When you’re running a race, if you stop to throw stones at every dog that barks, you’ll never reach your destination OR you’ll get there much later than you should.”
And then, he encouraged them to work together, because a “nobody wins when the family feuds.”

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested 16 persons for allegedly using President Muhammadu Buhari’s name to scam and defraud job seekers and other innocent members of the public
The suspects, 10 men and 6 women, were arrested in a storey building located along Atiku Abubakar Way, Uyo, the state capital.
Their Leader who was identified as one Felix Obonka from Delta State is currently on the run.
Items recovered from the suspects includes the sum of One Hundred and ninety thousand eight hundred naira (N199,800.00) and two set of forms for Empowerment and Surveillance.
The group operates with the name “Niger Delta Youths, Women and Security Movement for Buhari”. Investigation revealed that, the group’s (membership and surveillance) sold forms were purchased at the rate of six thousand naira (N6,000.00) and N15, 000.00 respectively.
It was further revealed that Felix Obonka and his accomplices tricked applicants into believing that those applying for security jobs will be trained by the Nigerian Army and on completion will be posted to the Nigerian Navy, Police Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Department of State Services, for the purpose of pipeline surveillance and protection.
Others were led into believing that they would become trained artisans and proud owners of shops at the end of the programme. However, the syndicate has not trained nor given shop to any persons since 2015.
It was also revealed that the purported recruitment started in 2015 with membership drawn from all the Local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement signed on Thursday from Zimbabwe, Fashola said the Senator’s utterances were “unparliamentary and therefore not deserving of a reply.”
The minister added that the senator was attempting to trivialise important issues he has raised, while stating that his response was to refocus attention on the issues at stake.
The minister said,
“In this context, it is left for Nigerians to then decide whether budgeting for constituency roads is more patriotic than budgeting to complete the Kano-Maiduguri Road that connects five states, the Lagos-Ibadan Road that connects three states and helps to move food, imported goods and fuel across the country; or the second Niger Bridge that connects the South-East and the South-West geopolitical zones of at least 11 states together.
“I will also leave Nigerians to judge whether it is more patriotic to budget for the Mambilla Power Project that will contribute to more power supply across Nigeria or reduce the budget to build street lights in legislative constituencies.”
Fashola advised Goje to acquire the temperament needed for debates and disagreements in a parliament.
He said,
“Let me reiterate that I see parliament as a house where very vigorous debates about development should take place and it is important for Goje to acquire the temperament of debate and disagreement.”
Fashola added that Goje’s statement that he should behave like a ‘minister’ was ‘unparliamentary’.
“I think first that the language is unparliamentary and therefore not deserving of a reply.”
The former Lagos State Governor advised those who had just transited from the executive arm to the legislative arm to be cautious.
“It seems that it is such people who need a behavioural prescription about legislative function,”
“I need a better budget as a tool to do my work and that is why l am speaking out,”

The Sekem crooner posted a sublime shade/advice on Instagram last night as he wrote ;
#SHUPE
As interesting as this beef is going, we hope it does not lead to physical altercations when these artistes come across each other in public places, however we will be here to let you know that shiii just got real, lol

The Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria on Thursday, July 6, decried refusal of millers to reduce the price of flour in spite of the fall in the price of raw materials.
Prince Jacob Adejorin, the South-West Vice-Chairman of the association, said that his members met with the flour millers severally to reduce the price, but to no avail.
Adejorin threatened that bakers may be forced to embark on a nationwide strike if the millers fail to reduce flour prices, News Agency of Nigerian (NAN) reports.
Adejorin, who is also the Chairman, Lagos state Chapter of the association, said that the appeal to the flour millers for price reduction is due to the fact that price of wheat at the international market has dropped.
He said ;
Naira has appreciated against the dollar and the price of diesel has fallen drastically from N250 per litre to N170 across the country. “We bakers cannot continue to buy a bag of flour at N11, 300 which was the price fixed when the naira was exchanged at N500 to a dollar. “We proposed a reduced price range of between N9, 500 and N10, 000 per bag, but the millers declined the proposal. “Out of the five flour mills in the country, only one mill accepted our plea and is selling to us at N10, 600 per bag, which is commendable. “The stance of other flour mills is that reduction in price will only happen when naira/dollar exchange rate is N300. We do not know when that will occur. “We cannot continue to bear the financial burden of high cost of production, dearth of bakeries and lack of profit as most bakers are currently living from hand to mouth,” he said.
Adejorin added that members of the association across the country might down tools should the flour millers refused to change their stance. Adejorin said that millers had failed to recognise the vital role and contributions of bakers to the food industry saying ;
“The millers did not consider our call for price reduction, but rather gave flour dealers a rebate of N500 per bag. “Flour dealers cannot bake bread with the flour being produced nor give affordable bread price to the masses. “Bakers are vital stakeholders in the value chain, but they have neglected us. “When we down tools nationwide, they will understand our importance to their production and success,”
While we thought that the battle between music stars Kcee and Harrysong was over, it appears it has been reignited.
Kcee has filed a lawsuit against Harrysong and their former manager Soso Soberekon, who announced his exit from 5 Star Music Label in June 2017.
Back in February, news went round that Five Star Music arrested Harrysong along with his new Alterplate manager, Desmond Ike on criminal charges involving fraud, forgery and impersonation.
The matter was however settled out of court when Daddy Showkey intervened. In May, Harrysong exclusively confirmed to the press that he is no longer contractually obligated to Five Star Music and this was a decision supported by the label chairman, E-Money and Kcee – Hence he was free to now relaunch his label, Alterplate.
Although details are still sketchy, Kcee has now dragged both Harrysong and Soso to court and they all seem ready for war!
HarrySong uploaded a copy of the lawsuit filed against him on Instagram with the caption ;
I have never seen where a lady is gang raped and beaten up mercilessly and at same time asked not to cry. Even though you and I know you offended me, I listened to the voice of elders and appologized to you despite all the opression, yet my success causes you running stomach. And to my fans out there, please brace up for impact, since they have decided to hold us down by all means, We are ready to prove them wrong by all means…, less I forget, help me ask them, what is my crime this time?
Here’s an article from Pulse Nigeria after Tekno Joined in the Davido Vs Wizkid Beef. The article states that it’s one of the worst decisions he’s made.
As Nigerians, where I come from, if you see two elders fighting and throwing their dirty laundry in public, the best you can do is find another elder to separate them. If you can’t find anyone, then look the other way.
Wizkid and Davido are musical elders when compared to Tekno. In fact, based on the hierarchy of pop music, Wizkid and Davido are his ‘Daddies’. Kids don’t go joining in a fight between elders. And he has been bashed beyond measure for it.
While Wizkid and Davido beefed and threw shades all over Twitter and Snapchat, other musicians knew not to put themselves in the firing line. Everyone avoided the conversation, and kept mute about the affair.
They discussed it offline, took sides privately, but no one dared jump into the fray.
Except for Tekno. Only Tekno. It must be Tekno.
The ‘Pana’ and ‘Diana’ singer had had enough of the fight, and he was itching to take sides. And so, he joined in with this ill-advised tweet which read: “Na just time, soon we go know who international pass.”
It’s an obvious shade at Wizkid, who has been the subject of Davido’s beef. His international deal with Sony Music/RCA Records is taking shape, and his first body of work, an EP titled “Sounds From the Other Side” is ready to be released. It will be made public on Friday, July 14, 2017.
That in itself is a historic achievement. Wizkid is the first African pop act to have his project released at that level from this contemporary crop of pop stars.
Earlier in the year, he had bagged awards from the BET, Billboard and Echo. He has also released collaborations with Drake and Chris Brown. He is progressing on a steady level.
But Tekno had to join in the fight. He didn’t have to, but he did. Trust Wizkid to put him in his place. Starboy opened the day with this tweet: “Good morning! Ducks dont play where lions play! Enjoy ur day my people!”
Good morning! Ducks dont play where lions play! ? Enjoy ur day my people!
Trust Nigerians to run with this. Tekno has been dragged allover social media, with people coming up numerous memes and shades to describe the singer.
Tekno has no business throwing himself into a beef that he has no business in. Perhaps he was trying to take a stand for his friend Davido, who he has worked with on ‘If’, and also featured with him on ‘Erima’, a song by producer Krizbeatz.
Perhaps he just wants the attention, and make the news by taking a cheap shot. Whatever his reasons were, he didn’t think it through.
Wizkid and Davido are the top two artists on the continent, and the past 5 years have seen them prove their worth.
Tekno is on a lower level compared to these guys. You could count his commercially successful songs with your fingers. He doesn’t even have an album to his name.
There was no reason why he should join in a beef that didn’t have his name on it. It is one of his worst decisions ever. Maybe someday, if he works hard enough and diversifies his artistry, he might just get to their level and measure up. But right now, he needs to leave the arena, sit down, and be humble.
Looks like the Beef intended for Wizkid and Davido might just have turned to a Tekno and Wizkid beef.
It all started when Tekno decided to wade into the ongoing drama between Wizkid and Davido.
Tekno in some series of tweets wrote; “Na just time, soon we go know who international pass” Then he dropped a quite funny shade, where he urged one of the singers to go for HIV Test.
Wizkid immediately fired back, and cautioned Tekno, telling the latter to stay put, as “Ducks” don’t bark where Lions gather..
Now, Tekno responded.
He wrote; “Wow see how everybody is waiting for me to tweet! Too blown ???”, “Lions are animals! and humans don’t fight… be your brothers keeper! RARA O #allloveonthisside.”, “I came here to grow my twitter page! Look what we’ve done! Followers fall on this account!??”
Looks like Tekno is with Davido here!
Wow see how everybody is waiting for me to tweet! Too blown ???

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode is aware of the incessant attacks by the Badoo Cult Group in Ikorodu, and he has declared war on them.
Ambodo who spoke at the commissioning of a fire station in Epe area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria disagreed with claims that the dreaded cult group, Badoo, are invincible. He said the members terrorizing the Ikorodu community are not spirits and must be tracked down.
He, therefore, charged traditional rulers, especially in Ikorodu to wake up by helping the government to beef up the high rate of kidnapping and Badoo menace in the state.
According to him, the Lagos State government is seriously concerned about rampaging cases of kidnapping and Badoo menace in the state and they are wholeheartedly committed to the safety of lives and properties in the state.
“I just want to assure Lagosians that we are doing everything possible. We don’t run the government on the pages of the newspapers, and that’s why you see that we do not make comments on the newspapers, but we are trying as much as possible to make sure that we get these children back safely which is more important for us and also make sure that we tighten the security in our waterways to make sure that we support the security agencies in ensuring that the right things are done and then we keep pace,” he said.
Ambode said intelligence reports had it that some of the baales colluded with kidnappers to kidnap people in remote areas.
In his words:
“This is also a good opportunity for me to say this since the majority of our traditional rulers are here. We just want to pass a message to say that we need to come together and ensure that we speak to all our baales in the communities that we are having issues and also in Ikorodu to say that we must speak to ourselves.
“We have intelligence here that some of these things are coming from within and our Kabiyesis and Obas need to do something as quickly as possible to arrest this decadence that we have here.
“As far as the Badoo case is concerned, I don’t believe that it has anything to do with a disappearing ghost. I don’t also believe that the rituals can be taking place, without some people not being behind it. So, I challenge all our Kabiyesis and all our traditional rulers and Baales, we must arrest this situation as quickly as possible and show that traditional value that we have always been known for and then we would continue to support you.”
However, the governor said the fire station was being commissioned to enhance the safety of lives and properties in Epe, adding that his administration would deliver more fire stations across the State.
The controversial senator, Dino Melaye has successfully secured a court injunction to stop his recall from the senate by some members of his constituency.
He announced this on facebook about an hour ago with the words;
“Thank You Jesus. Status quo should be maintained says Federal High Court Abuja on the fake recall case. Yahaya Bello is a loser. To God be the glory forever and ever.”
In an amendment bill passed to law by the Senate, students of the National Open University are now allowed to participate in the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) and also able to attend Law school.
The Senate panel stated that the amendment would bring the National Open university at the level of other universities and to remove the perception of the public about the university in respect of the word ‘correspondence,’ which gives the impression that the university is not a full-time university and, as such, seen as part-time.
Read the full report:
“These two concepts – correspondence and part-time – significantly affect the way the public views the programs run by the university. This has been the reason why the Law graduates of the school are not admitted into the Nigerian Law School as well as the reason for the non-inclusion of the graduates of the university into the National Youth Service Corps scheme”.
“Secondly, to include lnformation and Communication Technology as another means of providing tuition towards the advancement of learning throughout Nigeria. The National Open University, as currently run, depends critically on virtual learning and students’ individual research, hence, the need for improvement and introduction of helpful learning tools as presented by lCT. This will further deal with the challenge of limited access in the tertiary education sector.”
The Baale of Shangisha in Magodo, Lagos Mainland, Chief Mutiu Ogundare, has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
According to Vanguard, Ogundare’s abduction came barely months after he and other residents kicked against the installation of Oba of Shangisha, Oba Jamiu Lawal, claiming that Lawal doesn’t belong to the ruling family in the community.
Sources said he was driving in the company of another chief when the abductors intercepted the vehicle and instructed the men to alight from the vehicle.
He was reportedly abducted by three men along Center for Management Development (CMD) Road, Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Wednesday.
An Agusta 106 Light Utility Helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force has suffered a technical mishap, crashing into water in a yet-to-be-identified location in the northeast.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, who confirmed the incident earlier today, said there was no loss of lives, adding that the pilots ditched the aircraft to minimise damage.
Adesanya said ;
“The Chief of the Air Staff has immediately directed the constitution of a board of inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incidence.
“Members of the board are already in Maiduguri to commence work,”
