Lol!…….A young graduate who teaches in a private secondary school and earns a monthly salary of N75,000 is not a happy man at the moment.
According to Idoma Voice, the man’s prospective in-laws in Benue State asked him to bring five jerry cans of palm oil, one goat, two cartons of beer, two crates of soft drinks and eight thousand naira before he would be given the list of items to buy and pay for.
He went, presented the items to them and they gave him a list of more items worth N1.5M.
He wrote:
“This excludes other logistic and miscellaneous expenses he may incur during the traditional marriage.
We are even yet to talk about Church wedding which some ladies insist on before stepping their feet in a man’s house.
Even the guy’s entire salary for thirty months cannot foot the bills before him. They must continue with their life after marriage.
Funny enough, this lady is a student.
He continued:
“I deliberately refused to mention the name of the man, lady and families involved because it is not really about them. It is about us.
We have to condemn such developments in Tiv land. You may say “or maa wan na ior mbera ga”. But life is a circle.
Today it is that poor young man. Tomorrow, it will definitely not be him. “Shin kem gema been ken tar Tiv ase”? Shi mde ve.”
Fidelis Chidi Blog recalls that the traditional ruler of Otukpa, the headquarters of Ogbadibo LGA of Benue, Chief Sir Sunday Ekele JP, has banned intending grooms in the community from spending more than N100, 000 on traditional wedding.
The decision became imperative following complaints from young men in the community that outrageous bride price has been discouraging them from getting married.
The monarch, Otukpo, who made this known on Thursday, July 20th, while speaking on a live programme on Joy FM, said any one found flaunting the new law would be penalized.
He said:
“Money should not prevent anyone from getting married in our community. From now onward, no one should spend more than hundred thousand naira before he gets a wife in our community. We need to encourage the young men so they won’t be scared of going into marriage,”.
The Biafra Zionist Federation, BZF, has announced that an interim government has been formed to run the affairs of Biafra as they revealed that south eastern states have been split from Nigeria.
The announcement was made today, July 31, by the self-acclaimed President of Biafra, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka during a press briefing in Enugu.
The Lawyer, who was arrested in Enugu in 2014 after his group stormed the Enugu State Broadcasting Service for the purpose of declaring Biafra Republic, said the interim government will last for 30 days.
Asides declaring himself the President of Biafra, He also named Prof. Pat Utomi as the foreign minister.
He said:
“I am the President of Biafra; we have formed an interim government that will be in place till the next 30 days. The interim government will take off tomorrow, August 1 and last till August 31, 2017, that is 30 days.
“America is behind the Biafra people because former President Barrack Obama already endorsed Biafra before he left office and President Donald Trump will not go against it considering that it has formed part of America’s foreign policy.”
According to Daily Post, he further named other members of the cabinet, which include; Prof. Chukwuma Soludo- Central Bank of Biafra, CBB; Prof. Pat Utomi- foreign affairs; Mrs. Aruma Oteh- finance minister; former Personal Secretary to Late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu- petroleum. Others are Amarachi Ubani- information; Ohanaeze President, Chief Nnia Nwodo- Ambassador to US; Prof. Jerry Gana- transport; Labaran Maku- aviation, a lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, Mrs. Mary Okafor- trade and industry; Benny Lar, Secretary to the Government of the Republic; Gabriel Oluwole Osagie- education, Prof Barth Nnaji- energy; Philip Effiong Jnr.- health.
Onwuka also announced that the Israelis would hold the positions of defence, agriculture, internal affairs, Inspector General of Police and Air Force, adding that they would also take 25 percent of the civil service job in Biafra.
He said:
“Israel will be key players in this government because there is so much corruption in Nigeria; so, they are coming to help us clean the system. They are coming to sweep the system. They will challenge agro-revolution and also abolish corruption very easily.
“Same goes for America; their companies will be in control of our oil industry. This is to reward them for what Obama did for us; Obama saved us even when we were in detention; they already passed death sentence on us even without our knowledge, but Obama’s intervention saved us.”
Onwuka called for all Biafrans who work in the Nigerian armed forces to withdraw and join the Biafran security forces.
He said:
“I am also calling on the avengers, the militants to come out from the creeks and join us to defend and protect Biafra. I’m beckoning on Asari Dokubo, Tompolo, Ateke Tom to come out and join us. I am calling on all our boys in Biafra land to come out. I’m not afraid, the US is with us.”
He also accused the Federal Government of Nigeria of “Islamizing the Biafra Republic” and vowed to resist such.
He added:
“The Biafra people will not allow themselves to be Islamized; 1967 will no longer be allowed to repeat itself. Apart from removing the Christian Religious Knowledge from the school curriculum, they have also banned history. This is to prevent our young ones from knowing all the things that happened in the past. This is entirely war on our people and we are not going to take it. Where there is religious conflict, the offended side will always win; the same thing will happen here”

Two Ghanaian nurses identified only as Tracy Ewurama Marcel and Ramatu have lost their jobs for ignoring patients to go live on Facebook while at work.
The viral video of nurses on Facebook live was shared by Ghanaian news publication, Adom FM, on their Facebook page.
Reacting to the viral video, the management of the Royal MMR Hospital, where the two nurses worked, said they were shocked and appalled by the fact the two nurses “choose to do Facebook Live while at work and responded to comments at the expense of patients waiting to seek health care”.
A doctor with the hospital, Dr. Mohammed Donkor, however, confirmed to Adom News that the two had been fired by the management of the hospital as their conduct was in breach of company regulations.

I can’t believe how ignorant and envious people can be… I went to meet peace where her mum sells Ugwu and I was almost eaten raw by the Ugwu sellers there… I was so disoriented!
Peace’ Mum didn’t complain, I already spoke with her Dad and he was grateful but these women couldn’t hide their jealousy, they made a scene and almost tagged me a kidnapper…people started gathering.
The envious Ugwu women said they saw her pictures everywhere on the internet that she was too young, I asked them if she was too young to be successful?
These women were trying to convince her mum not to allow me take her to the studio for professional photos. They even blamed her for allowing me to take the pictures in the first place.

An 18-year-old man suspected to be a member of the reprehensible Badoo cult has been caught as he stole into a nursery school in Mushin, Lagos State.
The suspect, Fred Minima, who reportedly had the logo of the cult on his left hand, allegedly entered the premises of the nursery and primary school with the intention to kidnap some pupils.
He was said to have stolen some phones before he proceeded to attract the pupils.
However, eagle-eyed security guard caught him and handed him over to the police.
He was charged before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on Monday, for allegedly belonging to a forbidden cult group, Badoo.
Minima, who resides at Akala area of Mushin, is facing three counts of attempted kidnap, belonging to an unlawful society and stealing.
He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all the charges.
But Police Prosecutor, Maria Dauda, insisted that the accused committed the offences on July 26 at 11.10 a.m. at No. 25, Akinola St., Mushin.
The offences contravened sections 21, 42 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Section 287 stipulates three-year jail term for offenders, while kidnapping offences in Lagos State attract a penalty of life imprisonment or capital punishment.
The Magistrate, Mrs. O.O.A. Fowowe-Erusiafe, in her ruling, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000, with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until August 29 for mention. (NAN)
A man convicted of raping and murdering a three-year-old girl was executed in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Monday in front of hundreds of onlookers, witnesses said.
A policeman fired five bullets from an assault rifle into Muhammad al-Maghrabi, 41, as he lay with his hands handcuffed behind his back on a blanket on the ground in Sanaa’s Tahrir Square, after a judge read out the death sentence.
The execution drew an unusually large number of onlookers, some perched up telegraph poles and many watching from rooftops, because of the young age of the victim.
Security was tight amid fears of a revenge attack on Mr. Maghrabi by armed tribesmen related to his victim.
The police truck transporting Mr. Maghrabi to the square was escorted by five police patrol vehicles.
Yahya al-Matari, the father of the girl, told reporters after the execution that he felt as if he had been reborn.
“This is the first day in my life,” he said. “I am relieved now.”

A Rivers State High Court, has sentenced to death three persons in connection to the lynching of 4 students in Aluu Community in 2012.

According to the Judge, the prosecution failed to prove it’s case of murder against the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th accused persons beyond every reasonable doubt.

The police in Dome-Kwabenya, a suburb of Accra have arrested some four persons in connection with the killing of a popular slay queen, Lydia Ama Serwaa better known as DC Queen.
According to the police the four, all suspected to be fraud boys are James Opoku, Yussif Ahmed, Akwasi Adae as well as Muhammed Abdul-Sadeek who are currently in police custody assisting investigations.

According to the Lagos state police command on its Instagram page today, a shrine said to be used by members of the secret cult, Badoo in Ikorodu have been exposed.
One Alhaji Alaka Aboyomi, identified to be the owner of the Shrine, led the police team into the shrine located on a large expanse of land that is surrounded by thick bush.
About Four graves were found in the compound while another one that looked fresh was spotted on a corner in the compound.
Suspected members of the deadly cult group, Badoo has again been reported to have killed not less than four members of the same family.
As reported by PUNCH, cult killed a couple – Mr. and Mrs. Adejare – two of their children, while the third kid was said to be in a coma at the Ikorodu General Hospital.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday in Oke Ota community, Ibeshe. The children were reportedly aged between five and one. Two of them were identified as Siyin and Ajoke, all females.
The assailants were said to have cut the window net of the family’s apartment to enter the room where evil was perpertrated.
They were said to have subsequently smashed the victims’ heads with a stone and left the area unnoticed.
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the incident became known around 12pm when church members of the deceased checked on them on the way from church.
He said, “They had a special programme in their church today (Sunday). The members decided to check on them because they did not come to the church. They found the whole family in a pool of blood and raised the alarm. One of the three children was still breathing. He was rushed to the general hospital.
“There are burglar-proof bars on the windows in the house, except in the kitchen. They came through the kitchen. They tore the net and entered the house.
“We seem to have relaxed in securing the community because the attack subsided for some time. Even the police patrol has reduced.”
A community leader said the residents would intensify vigils in the neighbourhood, calling on the police to ensure regular patrol on streets.
He said, “We were happy that things were getting better before this incident. There is one little girl among them receiving treatment at a hospital. Her head was smashed.
“We only hear sirens of the police patrol from the main road. They don’t usually come into the inner parts of the community, where theBadoo members operate.”
The Lagos State police spokesperson, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the killings had no connection with the Badoo cult, adding that the location of the family’s residence was not accessible to vehicles.
He said, “The house is just a room and parlour with one open window and no visible form of security. A family of five were attacked. Three died on the spot, one died while receiving treatment at a hospital and the last member is alive and responding to treatment.
“No visible trace of violence or clues linked to the cult was found. No stone was found at the scene. A case of murder is being investigated by police detectives, which doesn’t fit in the modus operandi of the cult.”

The truth is, these acts has given us discredit and a bad name in the international community, having left the borders of Nigeria, I realized that other nationals second guess our honesty, they act with extra cautious when dealing with us. Most online shopping websites have blacklisted Nigeria. Our corporate image has been soiled probably beyond repair. No one wants to deal with a Nigerian, this is so pathetic.
Most of these kids when caught gave the credits of their misfortune to their supportive parents on the wrong side of the track. This makes me sometimes feel ‘no home training is better than bad home training’.
Youths—Ask questions before you delve into certain things in life, you will definitely get answers. Let’s not be so cheap that we don’t look before we leap. Sooner or later we will all be tempted tested.
Before then, get MIND. I challenge you to have a brave MIND. the kind of bravery I’m talking about is not of evil but the common mind to resist temptations, ‘there is dignity in labor’. Thence I challenge you to live honestly within your own means, and not dishonestly upon the means of others.
I want to encourage us to have the right courage. Be brave enough to struggle like real men, courageously embrace disappointments, let your soul posses it self under every vicissitudes, be strong enough to convert your pitfalls into sky rise, your stumbling blocks into stepping stones. Ensure your father and mother are proud of what you do, make the greatest country in Africa ‘Nigeria’ proud again, make your self proud, and above all? Make God Almighty in heaven look at you and say: “That’s my child”.
Any young man who dares to display himself in this right silent effort and endeavor, and dares to endure all the sufferings all for truth and duty is more truly heroic than the achievements of a Thief in king clothings. When we have the orientations of a brave MIND or ‘The True Billionaires Mind’ like I tagged it; the world in no time will surely step aside to let US pass.
Undoubtedly, Nigerians are hard working anywhere we find ourselves. We are creative, but then, some our youths are creative on the negative side, I want to encourage us to turn that negativity into positivity, desist and turn your energies on something enviable. This is my observation as someone who thinks with an open mind.

A pregnant pepper seller, identified as Iyabo Taiwo, on Hassan Ogunlana Street, Ijaiye, Lagos State, has been traumatized after she was reportedly thrown into a police cell for reporting an assault on her.
She had lodged a complaint at the Meiran Police Station against a resident, identified simply as Simon, aka Best, who allegedly pushed her into a drainage channel.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the case was, however, turned against her because Simon was a relative of a senior officer at the station.
It was learnt that Simon had bought some red peppers from the woman last Monday and was supposed to collect N50 change.
It was gathered that Taiye went to visit her ailing husband at a hospital the following day and did not open shop.
The woman said hardly had she arrived at the shop on Wednesday with fresh stock when Simon came to collect the change.
She stated that she told him to come back for the change, but he suddenly resorted to force and started taking her goods.
The 30-year-old woman who spoke in Yoruba said:
“I explained to him that I had used all the money on me to buy peppers and begged him to give me little time to sell so that I will give him the change.
“But he dipped his hands into a basket to pack some peppers. So, I held his shirt. He freed himself from my grip and threw me into a gutter. I went to report at the Meiran Police Station and some policemen followed me to arrest him.
“On getting to the station, he spoke in English and Igbo with a police officer. Then, a policeman told me that some people beat him (Simon) and that I would be detained until they arrest those people. Simon was told to go.”
The woman said she spent over 24 hours in detention and was freed after members of a pepper sellers association she belonged to paid N4,500 to secure her bail.
She said:
“I was locked up inside a cell. They didn’t give me food. I was feeling pains all over my body. Members of my association later contributed N4,500 before I was released in the evening of the following day (Thursday).
“My pregnancy is over seven months now. I have gone to do a scan at a hospital to know the condition of my baby. The result will be out on Monday (today).
“The Commissioner of Police invited me and some policemen to his office in Ikeja on Friday. He was angry with them and told them to refund the N4,500. They asked me to come for the money on Monday (today).”
A resident, who begged for anonymity, said shortly after Taiye was released on Thursday, Simon allegedly mobilized some thugs to beat two men, Ope and Muri Waheed, who cautioned him for assaulting the woman.
In a CNN anchored quiz showed yesterday, a query on ‘which country has the country that the head of state has not set foot in the country for over two months’ was posed and the answer was indicated as Nigeria.
Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain in the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has now blamed the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government for subjecting the country to the humiliation in the international sphere.
He tweeted this morning:
“Watched @CNN last night. The shame that these beasts brought upon our nation will be multiplied in their lives a million fold. We warned!”
President Buhari has been in London since May 7 for medical follow-up and his date of his return is yet uncertain.
Recently, Malaysian-Based Nigerian Big Boy, Hushpuppi took to his Snapchat to call out people he calls his friends who cannot “dash him” money for no reason.. and funny enough, under few hours, the Snapchat king got over 2 million naira from his friends..
He then later gave the money out…. Now he is calling out Bloggers who didn’t carry this story, but rather, loves carrying “bad new about him”.
He also used the opportunity to shade Eniola badmus and Kcee.

Over 24 hours ago, I was having fun on my Snapchat with few friends to raise money for me to blow for the weekend.
In less than an hour I was sent over 2million naira which was much more than what I was seeking to have fun for that moment so I decided to give some of it out, I sent a couple of people I know some of it and I remembered a boy with a severe pain because by an armed robbery attack, so I decided to donate to him to get good medical attention, I also thought I would use my platform to get him a lot of donors which I posted his case on my page and he has then received massive turn out from my friends and followers but there’s something I noticed, to my surprise not even one of this bloggers who are quick to pick anything I do ever picked that good I did to write about, rather I see some blogs posting hushpuppi stylishly turns beggar, and none of their commenters/fans wrote to them that they should see this and that which hushpuppi has done o, none of your celebrities do this rather they only post and fold their arms to problem of the public who made them who they are, we didn’t see eniola badmus and kcee to tag federal government that I deserve a goodwill award but they are quick to tag efcc to come and investigate my blessings but at the end of the day I am not surprised, all my years in the struggle I have learnt black people mostly Nigerians are quick to bring their own down rather than praise, build or support each other.
Love don’t exist among us but with all this I won’t stop being the good guy that I am either y’all see it or not, God sees it and I see why he never seize to keep blessing me.

According to Reports from GHbase.com, Ghanaian Actress, Christabel Ekeh has been arrested for leaking her own nude pictures on the internet.
Recall many days ago, The Instagram page of the actress shared her Nude pictures, while many thought it was “revenge porn” by an ex-boyfriend, others thought she was hacked..
But then, she surprised all of us when in a recent interview, she revealed she released the nude herself, in order to introduce her new found identity. Thus, “New Christabel Ekeh”.
Now GhBase.com is reporting that the actress has been arrested, and she’s currently under interrogations for releasing the shoddy pictures o social media.
