Wow! This before and after photo of Manchester United player Paul Pogba really proves that no condition is permanent – as long as you’re consistent and you persevere, your time will surely come!
The 1993 born Man U player began his football career at the age of six playing for US Roissy-en-Brie, a few miles south of his hometown where he spent seven seasons at the club before joining US Torcy, where he served as captain of the club’s under-13 team.

An unmarried American preacher, Desiree Allen, who got pregnant with twins after engaging in premarital sex with her fiancé says she is proud of her pregnancy.
She made this known in an article posted on her blog. Desiree said that she will not be “slut shamed” from the pulpit, vowing to preach with pride till she “can no longer waddle on the stage.”
Pastor Desiree Allen serves as the pastor of arts and spiritual formation of First Corinthian Baptist Church in New York City as well as the director of Harlem’s The Dream Center.
Read her post below:
“I found out I was pregnant at the happiest place on earth. It was Mother’s Day and I was on vacation at Disney World. Go figure. I noticed my normally regular period hadn’t come which is usually no biggie. I would chalk it up to stress. Except now, thanks to acupuncture, I was used to it coming like clockwork. It’s only day one I told myself. It’ll come tomorrow. And it did, but only stopped by for a brief visit before disappearing into the abyss. I waited for her to come back. She never did.
The next day, I did what any normal sane woman would do. Scoured the resort for pregnancy tests like a madwoman. I went to every store on my resort AND the sister resort. Not a test in sight. No not one. How is this the happiest place on earth and you not expect people to get pregnant or need a pregnancy test? How do you have the mind to have a chip at the bottom of my cup that electronically determines how many more refills I have at the soda machine, but not sell an EPT Pregnancy Test? Or at least a Disney knock-off brand.
I wasn’t giving up. I went to the front desk. They always have extra shoelaces, cans of beans or whatever you need. Maybe just maybe they had a pregnancy test. Nope, but the lady at the front did discreetly let me know there was an offsite pharmacy that would deliver these “sorts of things” to the resort for a fee. She slipped me the card like she was passing me a bag of weed and k2.
Was I really this desperate? You know I was. I placed the order and waited for a test to confirm what I already knew.
I was pregnant. My immediate reaction was shock. This was not planned. Yes, I know it’s a potential consequence of having sex, but not one readily expected. With the exception of living a pretty much celibate lifestyle in my twenties, I had been having sex on and off since I was 15 and had never been pregnant. In fact, I assumed when I was ready it would be very hard for me to conceive. Boy, did I miscalculate that?
After the initial shock was joy. Yet, underneath something else was lingering. Anger? No. Disappointment? No. It was pure and utter dread. Not at being pregnant. Not at whether or not I would be a good mother. What had my stomach turning, other than nausea, was me being pregnant AND a pastor.
Let’s face it. The church has not had a good track record of accepting unmarried women who got pregnant. If you’ve been in church for any period of time you’ve heard or witnessed the aftermath. Shunning, slut shaming, being sat down from your position, having to go up in front of the church and confess your sin, etc. etc. No one can be naïve enough to say this type of stuff doesn’t happen in church.
An ugly truth is people in church leadership have sex outside of marriage, affairs, do drugs, drink, so on and so forth. Generally, these are not considered acceptable acts. BUT I have seen many churches turn a blind eye to this behavior because it can be hidden. Don’t ask. Don’t tell. To be pregnant is a very visible indication of a private act and for some reason provides people with more of a need to respond.
You may as well Scarlet Letter it up and place a big ole S on your chest for sex Hester Prynne-style. “The church” is already harsher on women for their “crimes,” but being a pastor also meant that both me and my fiancé were going to go through this publicly. I didn’t know what that meant, how it would affect my job and if I was prepared to deal with it.
Pregnancy already inherently diminishes some anonymity as people feel it their right to invade your personal space, offer up unsolicited advice and ask you private questions. Pastorship inherently makes some feel your personal life is their public business as you lose some sense of individuality for the sake of belonging to the church. As a pretty private person I had always struggled with the latter. Adding pregnancy seemed like my worse nightmare.
It was not as if I had a blueprint for this in my church. My pastors had been very open about having their first child while unmarried in college. That was more than 20 years ago. They were young. None of us were there. They were not pastors then. It was in the past enough to be hazy memory and turn into a testimony.
Many of us know the struggles we have had in the past. For many, it’s what brought us to church. Yet, as soon as we get far enough away from our struggles to label them “redeemable” or for them not to be in the forefront of our minds it becomes much easier to give someone else the side eye for behavior we don’t agree with.
It is often easier to NOT afford others the grace we were so freely offered. I had experienced people judge everything from my clothing to social media posts fully aware that if it had been another pastor they would’ve gotten a pass. My apprehension was not unwarranted and although privately excited I was concerned about public persona.
I did a lot of wrestling that week. I came to grips with the reality that part of the monster in my head was created by me. My past. My upbringing. What I was taught about the Bible.
I realized I had some baggage and I wanted to deal with this pregnancy on my own terms regardless of how people felt or responded. In those first few months I decided I couldn’t carry the weight of others’ opinions and judgments including my own. I also had to confront the ways in which I judged others based on their decisions and actions.
I decided I was going to walk with my head held high because I was proud and excited to be pregnant. Often, when people think you’ve done something wrong or have sinned they want you to walk around with your head low in guilt. Otherwise, how would THEY know you were sorry? Well, I wasn’t sorry or ashamed.
Shame and happiness cannot reside in the same place. I decided to only surround myself with those who had positive energy. I knew there would be rough days, but I also knew the good would outweigh the bad. So when the first comment was made about my pregnancy being an abomination I wasn’t bothered, because it wasn’t MY truth. Plus who uses abomination anyway? Can we say antiquated?
I had a choice on how to define my own happy and write my own story. I thought about the women who were belittled in their churches for being pregnant. The women who felt abortion was a better option than humiliation. The girl or young women of a pastor forced into abortion, because the family couldn’t handle the shame. The woman who left the church permanently because the members couldn’t accept her child.
The woman who watched the same people who loved her each Sunday avoid her like a plague. The woman who would give up everything to be pregnant regardless of the circumstances and still finds her womb bare. So many women who may have made a different choice if they understood the power they had. If someone had told them, it was ok to make the best choice for them ignoring the outside voices. It would get better. They could outlive this. I understood what some people thought, what some scriptures said, but also the validity of my own experience.
At three months I revealed my pregnancy to the staff at my church. It wasn’t planned. It was at our annual staff retreat. If you could see inside my mind you would have seen the warring back and forth.
“Do it now.”
“What? Are you crazy? This is not the time.”
“It may not be your timing, but it IS the perfect time.”
“Can’t I wait? Or tell them one by one?”
“Well if you wanted to wait, you shouldn’t have worn that dress. Come on. It will be like pulling off a Band-Aid. Have this conversation once and you won’t have to have it again.”
“I’m nervous.”
“You’ll be fine. The outcome will be better than expected.”
The words kind of fell out of my mouth in front of everyone. I explained my joy and the importance this did not undo and diminish all the work and dedication I had put in for six years. I felt empowered. I shared what I wanted to share, how I wanted to share, own my own terms. I wasn’t responding to anyone or defending myself.
I was standing in my truth. In a moment I will never forget, our executive pastor had the staff encircle around me and they begin to pray. A noise that can only be described as a wail left my mouth and I broke. To the point of needing a chair to sit in. I broke in the most beautiful way possible. In the breaking I was free. That ugly Jesus cry released every anxiety, fear and worry holding me down. They promised to protect me and support me. In that moment I saw God. It was a moment that transcended boundaries or judgment. It was pure love. I felt free.
One of my favorite lines from The Scarlet Letter is: “She had not known the weight until she felt the freedom.” I was carrying a lot of weight and baggage. The weight of what if. The weight of my upbringing. The weight of others’ opinions. The weight of judgment. It was heavy and I did the hard work of dropping that weight. I have no plans of picking it back up.
So no, I cannot carry your weight about MY situation. Whoever you are. I have my own beautiful, amazing and miraculous weight to carry for the next few months and a lifetime”.

We have stumbled on more facts, that emerged yesterday, surrounding the circumstances that led to the location/hideout of the Billionaire Kidnap kingpin, Evans leading to his arrest on Saturday.
Sources attributed it to an informant residing in Magodo and intelligence reports that revealed identities of his three girlfriends.
It was gathered that after the Inspector-General of police deployed his Intelligence Response Team to track the notorious kingpin, they made huge progress from the documents recovered from his hideout in Igando, Lagos after the miraculous disappearance of his last victim.
The documents reportedly aided them in identifying occupants of that apartment and opened an avalanche of information leading to Evans movement.
That was how they discovered that he lives at Magodo area of Lagos State, while other members were also residing in Lagos, Rivers, Abuja, Edo and Anambara States. N30m IGP reward as a boost .
A source who spoke with Vanguard disclosed that the leader of IGP’s team, Abba Kyari, who was tracking their locations had planned to round-up all the suspects, in one swoop, but his plans failed as Evans was always changing locations, making it difficult to get his exact location.
The source who spoke with Vanguard on the condition of anonymity disclosed that, while Kyari was searching for Evans, and has also mobilized some residents of Magodo Estate, giving them clear descriptions of Evans, his vehicles and the name of his security man, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, also announced a bounty of N30million on information that could lead to the arrest of Evans.
This led to the rounding up of three women believed to be Evans girlfriends, and they were identified as Amaka, Ijeoma and Ngozi.
The operatives were said to have discovered that Evans was very close to Amaka and he rented an apartment for her in Okota area of Lagos State.
Sources explained that Evans was fond of sleeping in Amaka’s house on a regular basis and they decided to use Amaka to lure him. His plan to evade arrest .
It was further gathered that fearing that Amaka may have been picked by the police, he avoided her as much as he could.
However, one of the police informants in Magodo made a breakthrough as the IRT were banking on Amaka, and he called and informed the police that he has located Evans apartment.
He also disclosed that Evans has not been seen around his house for a long time and he was believed to have moved out of his house.
Our source revealed that, Evans was highly elusive at this time and he was quite aware that the police were closing in on him and he moved away from his home and relocated to a hotel in Agidigingbi area of Ikeja adding that he also moved his wife and children to Ghana and was trying to dispose some of his properties at the time he was arrested.
The final straw On the day he was arrested, according to sources, he was said to be unaware that operatives had located his apartment in Magodo, when he contacted Amaka on Saturday morning.
“He was said to have called her on the phone around 4:15am, without knowing that some policemen were with her and asked her to wait outside her compound to meet him.
She reportedly joined him later at the spot and as soon as she got into the car, he attacked her, threatening to kill her for not informing him about the police presence in her house.
Evans was said to have gotten angry and drove away with her in his Grand Cherokee SUV and they had an accident at Iyana-Ipaja area where he abandoned the vehicle, seized Amaka’s phone and asked her to go home.
It was from there that he picked a cab to his residence at Magodo to pick some few things towards travelling out of the country. After then, we swooped on him and arrested him inside his bedroom.”

The man who has been married to his wife, Octavia Carter, for two years shared the post on Facebook to celebrate their wedding anniversary and revealed that being married to his wife has tested him physically, faithfully and mentally.
The happy man said that the child they are both expecting is special to him while labelling his other nine kids as bastards.
He wrote:
“2 years ago today I married my beautiful wife. I remember walking down the aisle knowing this it. I took a big step in life when I made that decision, but I don’t regret it. Being married tests everything.
“It tests you physically, mentally, it even tests you faithfully. What I love so much about our marriage is that, we’ve never seemed to lose each other. We believe everything is so workable, and nothing can separate us. Together we are so powerful. I can’t brag and say our marriage is perfect, but it’s better than the last 5 I have been in.
“Today is also special to me because, a few weeks ago while at work you texted me with a message that almost caused me to break down in tears. I’ve wanted to run and tell everybody about the news, but you just told me to wait until the right time.
“Well today is the right time, because your first trimester is closing. This kid will be so special to me, yes I have 9 other kids, but they’re bastards.
“For 4 years you were a really great girlfriend. For 2 years you have been an awesome wife. Within a few months, you will be a much better mother. I love you so much.

Before the arrest of Notorious Billionaire Kingpin, Evan, the Nigerian Police published pictures of a man based in Angola after they mistook him as Evans. They even published his pictures in Newspapers.
The man who has since been identified as Tochukwu Ambrose Onwuamadike is from Akaboukwu Uruagu Nnewi. He is a Nigerian businessman based in Angola.
Apparently, he bears the same surname as the real Evans.. Evans full names are Chukwumeme Onwuamadike.
According to multiple reports, the guy has been excited over the arrest of the real Evans since the news of the arrest broke.
The kidnap kingpin Evans hails from Akamili, Umudim Quarters in Nnewi, Anambra State.
The Benue State Police Command, on Wednesday, arrested a young man who disguises himself as a woman, in a bid to sleep with men at brothels in Makurdi.
He reportedly confessed that an old man initiated him five years ago and promised that he will become a millionaire after twelve years, adding that he has slept with so many people in Abuja, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos and other states.
Following the killing of two policemen in a robbery at a Zenith Bank branch in Owerri, Imo State, some men and officers of the Nigeria Police Force have decried the alleged abandonment of their family members by the police authorities.
The operatives, who spoke with our correspondents on condition of anonymity, lamented that meager welfare package, poor equipment and absence of a good insurance policy discouraged them from giving their best to the Force.
Many of them said they would never lay their lives on the line.
PUNCH Metro had reported that a four-man gang attacked the bank on February 22, 2017, and shot the three cops on duty.
While two of the policemen, Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko and Sergeant Sunday Agbo, died from gunshot injuries sustained during the incident, the third policeman, Sergeant Otu Attang, lost one of his eyes.
The incident, however, gained public attention early June when footage of the bank’s Closed Circuit Television camera, which captured the moment of the robbery, was released to the public.
The 2.58 minutes video, which immediately went viral on the social media, showed a courageous Chukwudi engaging the robbers in a gun duel from a security post at the bank’s entrance.
One of the robbers, later identified as Ikechukwu Opara, was shot dead while advancing to the security post.
Soon after, Chukwudi could be seen running out of the security post as one of the robbers shot in his direction.
He was said to have died the next day, following gunshot injuries he sustained during the attack.
In an interview with The PUNCH Newspapers, Chukwudi’s widow, Rose, lamented that one of their eight children, Chukwuebuka, died from shock during the burial of the father.
The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, however, announced on Tuesday that Zenith Bank had decided to compensate the families of the affected cops with scholarships, allowances, among others.
He promised on behalf of the police that the entitlements of the cops would be paid on time.
Some Nigerian policemen said the attitude of the police to the plight of the cops and their families had discouraged them from giving their all to the job.
A police inspector in Lagos said he saluted Chukwudi’s bravery after seeing a clip of the robbery.
He said,
“Honestly, some of us are ready to do the work, but once you die on duty, nobody cares for your family.
Even in the barracks you live, your family will be thrown out. Many policemen run away when they see robbers because they know that if they die, their family will suffer. It is not as if we are not trained to confront robbers.
“The police authorities need to do something that will encourage officers to serve the country well. The policemen died in the course of duty and deserved special rewards.
“The police don’t have working life insurance scheme. It is only the Lagos State Government that considers such for policemen that die in the course of duty. The police only have N300,000 to give to your family members and it may take years before it gets to them. Our salaries are nothing to write home about. A police constable earns between N40,000 to N45,000. As an inspector, I don’t earn up to N70,000 and I’m almost two decades old in service.”
A divisional police officer serving in the Kwara State Police Command said unlike some other security agencies, remuneration and welfare packages for policemen were poor.
He said;
“It takes the fear of God to be a good policeman. When policemen and officials of the Department of State Services were killed in Nasarawa State, the DSS gave the family of each of its slain officials N10m, while the police paid N500,000 to each policeman’s family. When the public cried out, the then Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, increased it to N1m. The DSS also built houses for the families of those officers; nothing like that from the police.
“A lot of policemen have died with nothing to show for their gallantry. There is no review of our welfare package. If you are a policeman, always pray that you are not harmed on duty. And in the Nigeria Police, it is zero feedback; you dare not complain.
“When I read in The PUNCH that the hero policeman, Chukwudi, had seven children, I pitied his family. He died as a hero, but without the media, he would have died in vain. There is nothing bad if the children are absorbed into police schools. The Zenith Bank should come to the rescue of the family by empowering the widow and securing the future of those children.
“The morale is low already; but you dare not talk. An Assistant Commissioner of Police gets about N250,000 per month. A CP collects about N300,000, despite his rank. As a CSP, my salary is around N160,000. Meanwhile, a lot of people look up to you as a big man and depend on you.”
A sergeant attached to a police division in Oyo State, also lamented that it was customary of the police to abandon operatives killed in active service, adding that he wept when he read about the plight of Chukwudi’s family.
“It is the custom of the police. Once you die, your family will be abandoned. That is why many policemen are not courageous enough to confront criminals, especially armed robbers. There is no life insurance. Apart from the N500,000 for burial, the police won’t give your family anything. And it is hellish for your family to get your pension from the police,” he added.
A divisional police officer in Lagos State said there was no motivation for policemen to work.
He said,
“There is no motivation to do police work. No policeman is ready to die because once you die, there is no hope. It is not true that policemen are not insured. They are, but the compensation differs. The least, however, is N500,000. The payment differs based on rank. We are not equipped to fight crime. To resolve the problem of motivation, the government should be ready to spend more on the police.”
A police corporal in Lagos told PUNCH Metro that most of the rank and file preferred to be posted to offices where they would not face any risk.
He called for a review of the salaries of policemen.
He said,
“What can a police sergeant do with N50,000 as salary? A police corporal collects N44,000. A constable collects about N39,000. Did you know that the last time police salaries were increased was in 2007 during the administration of former President Musa Yar’adua? Almost 10 years after, nothing has been done to review the salaries despite the situation of the economy. Besides, policemen do not have any mortgage scheme to acquire at least, a small portion of land.
“To be truthful, for the past 15 to 20 years, policemen are working on the logic that nothing is worth dying for. Most policemen restrict themselves to administrative and office duties, where they can work with ease and return home in peace.
“Are you aware that a rank-and-file policeman who loses his life in active service gets at most N1m? Is that what someone will die for? And before his family can even collect that money, some of the people in charge must have slept with their widows. It is like going through the eye of a needle to receive that money. The families of some policemen, who died as far back as 2005, have not received that money till today.
“Go to the barracks across the country and you will have a true picture of the living condition of Nigerian policemen.”
He also lamented that most times, policemen used their money to buy pens, statement forms and files for cases, saying it was the reason the responsibilities were usually passed down to complainants.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Mashood Jimoh, said it was not true that families of policemen who died in active duty were neglected, adding that every cop was insured.
He said, “There is life insurance for policemen and officers by the Federal Government and it is working. The Force equally has a policy of paying death benefits, burial expenses, among others. Life insurance covers policemen that die in active service. Even those that die natural death have something to benefit. It is not correct for anybody to say we neglect our men.
“There is no delay in the payment of entitlements. Everybody gets the entitlement as and when due. There is also the contributory pension scheme, which is outside the Force. The insurance is equally outside the police. It is only the death benefits and burial expenses that are within the police.
“Recently, the Inspector-General of Police distributed cheques to hundreds of beneficiaries and periodically, when the cheques come up, AIGs, commands and DPOs are directed to give them to relatives of deceased officers. There is no delay on the side of the police.”
Meanwhile, the GoFundMe account opened for the family of Chukwudi rose to over $20,000 on Wednesday.
Police, CBN partner to curb bank robberies
The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Ezike, and some officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria and 50 regional and branch bank mangers on Wednesday held a meeting in Owerri, the state capital, on how to fortify banks against robberies.
The meeting was held at the CBN office in Owerri.
Ezike, at the end of the deliberation, said the meeting was about securing and safeguarding bank assets and customers in the state.
He said, “The meeting was to get security feedback from stakeholders on how to render quality services in terms of securing banks, bank users, and the security of Imo State, among others.
“We equally deliberated and raised awareness on the integrity of bank workers, security personnel in banks and the duties of the banks to the people.”
The police boss noted that there was a need to ensure that equipment with high grade integrity were used for banking services.
Asked if the meeting took note of bank robberies that had occured in the recent past, Ezike said such cases were also reviewed.
The Manager, Banking Operations, CBN, Owerri, Mr. G.C. Okeke, who described the meeting as the first of its kind in the state, said the ideas and mutual intelligence shared among the parties would help to bring professionalism to bear in banks and secure their assets.
Billionaire kidnapper, Chukwumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, yesterday disclosed that his arrest would not have been possible but for his charms which failed at the last minute.
This came as family members denied knowing the whereabouts of Evans’ mother, Mrs. Chinwe Onwuamadike. Evans said he had believed in the efficacy of the charms of his native doctor, based in Nnewi, Anabra State.
The native doctor, according to him, is a traditional ruler. He was described as the backbone of Evans’ criminal activities, egging him on and telling him that no policeman born of a woman would ever be able to catch or arrest him.
According to Evans, after policemen stormed his Igando residence, where he used to keep victims, leading to gang members fleeing, he had run to the native doctor. He said:
“The native doctor resides in Nnewi, Anambra State.
He is a traditional ruler. After police busted our Igando hideout, he told me to have no fear. He said nothing would happen. He told me that nobody would be able to catch or arrest me. I believed him. I don’t know what went wrong.”
Meanwhile, Evans’ Uncle, Daniel Nwosu, who is bed-ridden, said he had not seen his sister, the suspect’s mother, in a very long time. He stands as the head of the Nwosu’s family in Akamili village, Umudim, Nnewi.
He said that it was only Chinwe’s husband, Stephen Onwuamadike, who would be able to give account of her whereabouts.
In an exclusive interview with New Telegraph yesterday, Nwosu said:
“I don’t have anything to say because I don’t know anything about the boy (Evans). If I see him now, I may not even recognise him. “It’s been a very long time I saw him last. He doesn’t come home or visit his maternal home.
So, what can I say about him? You know children have a way with their mothers. It’s possible she knows what Chidumeme (Evans) is into or not. It is the father or mother that can talk about their child. I don’t have anything to say, but I appeal to the authorities to have mercy on him and forgive him. “Children of this generation do not listen to advice; if not, why would he delve into such bad business, knowing the implications. It is because of money? See where it has got him.”
Although Nwosu insisted he didn’t know the whereabouts of his sister, he disclosed that when he heard the news of Evans’ arrest via a phone call, he called Chidumeme’s mother to find out what was going on but she didn’t pick the call. She also didn’t call back. Nwosu said that he had not been communicating with Chinwe for a long time because the woman did not reach out to them.
He said:
“I have not spoken with Chidumeme’s mother for a very long time and I don’t know where she is and what is happening around her. She should be up there in her husband’s house, but now I’m hearing she is not there. I don’t understand what is happening. It’s unfortunate and sad. She is just who she is. I have been sick and bed-ridden for a long time. I don’t go out at all hence; I don’t know what is happening around here.”
The long distance ride to Evans’ maternal home led to the discovery of a house allegedly built by Evans’ mother for one of her brothers.
The said brother is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. However, the maternal home of the kidnap kingpin showed a quiet middle class home with a Rav 4 ‘Jeep’ parked in a garage. Evans’ father had earlier said that his estranged wife left her matrimonial home without telling anybody where she was going to.
Stephen also denied the rumour making the round that he divorced Evans’ mother. He said:
“I cannot divorce her because we took an oath on our wedding. The oath is that we will be together for better or worse, till death do us part.
Death is the only thing that can separate us. I did not also disown Evans as is being circulated. “He remains my son. If he is given a second chance and he returns home, I will welcome and accept him. It was sad I didn’t know what he was into; if not, I would have been the one to stop him, by bringing my friends in the force to arrest and torture him to stop.”
At a debate in the Senate, on the need for National Unity and Peaceful Coexistence in Nigeria, Politician and Founder of Silverbird Group, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, revealed that the Igbos who are currently saying they are marginalized, are the richest, most industrious and educated people in the country.
He added that it is important for Nigeria’s education system to teach young Nigerians about the ills of war.
He said:
“They say the Igbos were marginalized. They fought a war and they lost. Today, they are the most industrious people in the country. They are the richest Nigerians in the country today. They are one of the most educated people in Nigeria today, yet they feel marginalized. If you compare the Ibo man to the other sectors of the society, you would say the Igbos are very privileged because of what they have. Yet, a generation of Igbos say they are marginalized and they want to secede and want a Nation. A young generation of people who have never seen bloodshed, destruction, people being killed, amputated, families being divided, can surely think like that. But what have we done as a Nation to educate them about the destruction of what? Absolutely nothing”

A Ghanaian man, Andrew Boateng Gyimah has been arrested in Toronto, Canada for allegedly selling packaged rice as IPhone after police received reports of his scam from two individuals.
He met up with one of his victims in an area of Islington Avenue after the victim had seen an advert he put online.
Then he gave the victim a box in which he said contained the iPhone 6 but when the victim opened the box, all he found was grains of rice.
Another person came forward earlier to report that he had fallen victim to the same trick by the suspect.
He is currently facing two counts of false pretence under $5,000, two counts of breaching a court order and two counts of fraud under $5,000.
You have probably heard of the “sharp” dealers at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra who would sell bars of soap and other items to unwitting phone buyers.
It is as well common in some part of Lagos, Nigeria where people fall victims of buying ‘fufu’ instead of the gadget they had paid for.
Apple’s IPhones are highly sought after by many millennials and could set you back by about 550 dollars which is about 2,200 Cedis.

Controversial Senator Dino Melaye, has taken to his Instagram page to slam the Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello who said the lawmaker lacks parental care.
He called the governor, a compound fool on cheap drugs and referred to him as a natural liar who converted a known criminal to be a student.
He wrote:
Gov Bello is a compound fool on cheap drugs. He is a natural liar who converted a known criminal to be a student. He is afraid of anyone with rising profile,a characteristic of one suffering superiority complex and intellectual stagnancy. He is shooting the moon and boxing the wind. Yahaya Bello is suffering from chronic mental recklessness. He is a certificated financial scavenger and economic cankerworm. He will soon put on his befitting prison uniform. You must pay salaries and pension. The only devouring spirit ravaging Kogi State. Yeye Bello has more money and guns than sense while I have more sense than money. Olodo rabata.- SDM
Meanwhile, Speaking with state house correspondents after a closed door meeting with acting President Yemi Osinbajo, in Abuja on Wednesday, the governor had referred to Dino as a social deviant in a senate.
He said:
“I’d rather admonish Nigerians that when a child lacks proper parental care and home upbringing, he constitutes social menace in the society. And if the society does not take steps to check and correct such a child, he can turn into criminal and take into criminality. Then, it’ll be left to government to check such criminality. And if government does not, such a child can cause a serious embarrassment. That is what is happening in Kogi State.
Then, talking of the Senate, let me rather admonish the Senate that that is an institution held in a very high esteem and I think the Senate and indeed the National Assembly is made up of men of high calibre and integrity and good character. I think it is necessary that that wonderful House should as matter of urgency and as a matter of fact check any social deviant that exists within them before they could be adjudged birds of the same feather. I know they are not of the same feather. The good people of Okunland and indeed West Senatorial District have learnt from a bitter mistake of not taming and curbing that social deviant and they have decided to take lawful steps in recalling him,”.
In a video which has gone viral on social media, Nigerian Pastor and Founder of Kingsway International Christian Center located in the United Kingdom with branches in Nigeria, Matthew Ashimolowo, asked his church members to donate according to the number of years they have lived on earth so they can receive blessings from what he calls, ‘Seed of Glorious Expectation’.
He said:
“For every year you have lived on earth, I want you to give a N100… No sorry, a N1000 naira.
“If you have lived on earth for 35 years, you give N35,000. You have lived 60 years, you give N60,000.
“Those who are paying one thousand dollars to the left while those paying in naira to the right.
“Thousand dollars to the left, thousand naira to the right, those that are doing the both, to the middle.“Get out of your seats.”
Nigerian radio personality, DaddyFreeze, who has always frowned at the ways pastors in Nigeria become super rich and live flamboyant lifestyles, while their members suffer to pay tithe and offerings, reposted the video on his Instagram page.
He condemned the act saying that such a thing was unheard of in the Bible.
He wrote:
Nigerians, their IQ of 67 and their men of God.

Come and give a thousand dollars for every year you have lived???

Can you show me anywhere in the Bible where Jesus used this ‘fund raising’ approach? I remember 5 loaves and 2 fishes but 1000 dollars??????? ~FRZ
