Three Armed Robbery Suspects Refuse

Charles Harry, John James and Frank Anyaegbulem, reported to be armed robbery suspects have given policemen in Rivers state a hard time as they vowed that they were ready to be shot dead than allow themselves to be paraded before newsmen.

Punchng reports that the suspects were arrested on Thursday behind a bar located at Mbaka Town in Rumuolumeni, where they were engaged in drinking and smoking of Indian hemp.

On searching a hidden apartment behind the bar, the policemen, recovered various arms and ammunition. Efforts made by the policemen to parade them were not successful as the suspects insisted that they were ready to be shot dead than to be paraded.

One of the suspects said,

“I did not commit any crime. I will not allow myself to be paraded. I’m ready to be shot dead here than allow myself to stand at that place (paraded).”

The suspects also refused to speak with newsmen, who wanted to get their own part of the story and why they were involved in armed robbery.

However the police disclosed that they recovered 25 rounds of live ammunition, 7.62mm loaded in a magazine, local revolver pistol with 9mm live ammunition and 32 pieces of live ammunition for AK-47 rifles.

Other items recovered are one pair of Mobile Police combat trousers, three face masks, three refrigerators, three television sets, two DVD players and one pack of gunpowder, bag of Indian hemp, sachet of hard drugs and one generator.

Speaking on the fight against crime in the state, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, the State Police Public Relations Officer, warned criminals to stay away from Rivers or be ready to face the wrath of the law whenever they were caught.

Omoni pointed out that the State Police Command would not go back on its charge in ensuring that crime was fought to a standstill.

“Criminals should repent or stay away from the state before being caught,” he warned

“Stop Asking Me For Money” – BBNaija’s Eriata Ese Warns Beggars.

Eriata Ese Warns Beggars

Big Brother Naija’s controversial housemate and Instagram slay queen, Eriata Ese, has in a new post on her Snapchat, warned people to stop asking her for money because she doesn’t have as she herself is a hustler.

This comes after a fan of hers requested that she help with the sum of 200k to commensurate with the one the fan has for rent and school fees.

The fan had sent the chat which reads:

Good day miss Eriata

I seldomly do this buut I can’t help it

I really need your help of 200k to add to what I have to pay my rent and school fee next section

Then the slay queen shared a screenshot of the chat and wrote:

I never tot I would do this but this is so funny … 200k? Do I even 200k in my acc? Abeg let me just use this medium to say this. Pls stop asking me for money because i nor get, me sef dey hustle, i cannot give what i don’t have.

Also, Eriata who loves to carry her followers along on her day to day life has shared the kinda wedding she wants with her future husband – she says she doesn’t want the extravaganza kinda wedding that is the craze now, not bridal shower and what not.

She says she wants her wedding simple and rather than waste money on elaborate ceremonies, she’d rather start a business or buy a car with the money…

She writes to her future husband:

“My brother is not a drug dealer” — Kcee defends EMoney yet again.

Kcee defends EMoney

So, Fams… Kcee has once again defended his Brother, E-money’s source of wealth.. and this time, he’s granted an interview with Punch where he vehemently defended his brother.

According to the singer, his brother is a ‘hardworking’ Christian who engages in legitimate business, and so he thinks it is unfair for people to wrongly accuse his brother just because they follow his activities on social media.

On how far they have come as a family, he said

“I left Ajegunle because we were unable to pay our house rent and the landlord threw us and our property out of the house. I was wearing only my boxers when the landlord threw us out of the house because we could not pay N70,000 for a three-bedroomed flat. My father started squatting with some people while my mother went to her sister’s house. My brother and I had to hustle. By then, we had won Star Quest so we had a rickety car, so we slept in the car. At the time they stole our car, things were tough because all our property was in the car. We were living from hotel to hotel and all we had was in the car. Sometimes we owed the hotels a lot of money which we paid after we had a show. To get shows then was even very hectic for Presh and I but we still believed that God would help us. By then, E-Money had to move on to learn how to be a freight agent. He later found his feet. Leaving Ajegunle was divine because I believe God sent the man to kick us out. After we left Ajegunle, we stayed in a room apartment in Ojodu before we got a place in Omole. After a while, E-Money started doing well and we bought a duplex in Omole, then he bought a piece of land and continued buying and the rest is history. The same thing with me; we grew up gradually and there was no time we were greedy to go into crime or defraud anyone.”

And about his brother E-Money, he said:

“My brother is not into drugs or anything illegal. We are from a Christian home and we are very careful with our lifestyle and what we do. Our only weakness is that we show off. We like the good life. My brother is a hard worker. For about 17 years, people have been saying that we do drugs or 419 but why have we never been caught? Why haven’t we made a mistake? Why hasn’t someone come to expose us? When we had issues with some of our team members that left recently, a lot of people were waiting to hear that we were into illegality but they did not say that. My brother is a hard worker who is into clearing and forwarding, oil business, real estate, etc. He started from the scratch. He used to be my manager when I was with Presh but he left to start his own business. It is just the grace of God. When I was playing football, I was doing very well. I started with football and the first time I travelled out of this country, it was through football. I never saw music coming and it was something I did by the side. My brother and I laugh whenever people make statement like that. He does not do anything negative. If not, people would have come out to expose it. I am sorry but no one can make us change our lifestyle because it is in our DNA.”

Evans: “How my girlfriend, Amaka caused my downfall & the shock of my life”

Evans girlfriend

The shock of my life
…Denies man, woman who claimed he kidnapped them
…I don’t collect N20m or N10m, he tells them
…I would have been worse if I was well educated
…Why he threatened a victim after collecting $1m ransom

JUST like a thriller typically involving crime and mystery, the story of arrested Kidnap Kingpin, Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike, aka, Evans has remained captivating. Like a Hollywood movie with an exciting plot and phenomenal characters, the issue begets interesting and surprising angles each day.

When you think Evans had narrated nearly all his escapades, more sensational and suspenseful narratives would emerge, producing new angles to the most intriguing criminal case in Nigeria’s recent history.

Frankly, only the Lawrence Anini case of the 1980s could rival the Evans episode given that like the former, the latter was also the king of the underworld. Interestingly, the same kind of tragic flaw ended their respective episodes given that women were key to their downfall. At an exclusive encounter with SaturdayVanguard, during the week, Evans pondered on the events leading to his arrest and concluded that visiting his girlfriend, Amaka was the weakness that led to his fall.

An unassuming Evans, whose expression was a mixture of sobriety and impenitence, summarized the pre-arrest events thus: “I f***ked up.”

At the latest meeting with Evans at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, where he is being detained, the Nnewi-born kidnap kingpin made fresh revelations amid regrets about not leaving the country with his family.

I failed to follow my instincts

He told Saturday Vanguard that he knew the Police had identified the area he was living, a discovery he made on May 23, 2017, when the officer-incharge-of the IRT, Abba Kyari, visited Magodo Estate and held a meeting with the Divisional Police Officer and some residents of Magodo Estate.

Evans revealed that one of the residents, who was part of that meeting alerted him to the Police presence in the area. The person, he said, informed him, who the Police were looking for and how they planned to carry out their operation.

Evans said he quickly moved his family out of Magodo and relocated to a hotel in Ikeja. He said his failure to follow his instincts and leave the country immediately, having known that his girlfriends, sister and gang members had been arrested, gave him out.

How my problems started

Narrating the new angles to his story, the Junior Secondary School dropout said: “My problem started on Friday, May 12, 2017, when one of my captives, Mr. Donatus Dunu, a Pharmacist, who I abducted at Ilupeju area of Lagos escaped.

I got a call from one of my boys looking after my victims at my den at 6: am that Mr. Dunu escaped from that den at 4:30 am. They looked for him without success. At that time, I knew trouble had come. The next news I heard was that the Police had visited the place and my AK47 rifles, pistols and over 40 loaded magazines were recovered by the Police.

‘’ I was worried and I called my gang members wanting to know what actually transpired. They all blamed Uche, who was in charge of the den. I told them that I was going to deal with him. At that time, my mind started racing and I was trying to think of what to do because I knew that the Police would come after me with force.

I read a story in Vanguard

“ Five days later, I read a story in Vanguard Newspaper that the IGP had deployed, Abba Kyari and his men to Lagos State, to track my boys and 1 and they have also visited the den, where Mr. Dunu escaped from. That was about the same time they placed a bounty of N30million for information that could lead to my arrest.

Some of my men, who got news started panicking, but I assured them that I was on top of the situation and that the police would not get me. My Second-in-Command, Felix called me and expressed fears, but I assured him that the Police can’t arrest me and I was also making preparations to kidnap one other person.

I then informed him that I would commit suicide rather than allow the Police to arrest me. When Suoyo, who lives in Beyelsa State, called me and expressed fears, I also assured him that nothing was going to happen. I told him I was making plans for another operation and needed him to go into the creeks and buy a new set of arms and ammunition for me.”

The shock of my life

“But in the afternoon of May 23, 2017, I got the shock of my life when a call from a man living in our estate informed me that Abba Kyari and his men, held a meeting with the estate security and the local police. He said they had information that the man kidnapping businessmen in Festac Town and Amuwo Odofin, receiving $1million as ransom from his victims was residing in Magodo Estate.

The man also informed me that the estate and the Police have agreed to shut one of the gates leading into the estate to enable them to track me down through the vehicle I was using.

He also told me that some of Abba Kyari’s men would disguise as LAWMA officials cleaning the streets and some of them would operate as PHCN staff to enable them to have access to people’s home within the state. The man, who gave me this information didn’t know that I was the one who the Police were looking for. I quickly moved my family out of the house and we relocated to a hotel in Agidingbi, Ikeja, where we started planning on how to relocate to Ghana.

I buy my cars from Beger Motors

“While at the hotel, my mind wasn’t at rest, I didn’t know where the Police would be launching attacks from. I was on hyper-alert and I started thinking of how to make sure the Police didn’t get me.

I quickly sold my Lexus SUVs because from the information I gathered from the man who called me, I learnt the Police were looking for a man, who drives a black and silver coloured Lexus SUVs. Then I got someone to move my mother out of Nnewi because I believed the Police may go after her and would want to use her to lure me.

While I was making these plans, news came in that my Second-in-Command, Felix had been arrested by the Police. Someone from Berger Motors on Oshodi Apapa Expressway where we normally buy our vehicles called and informed me that the Police operatives picked him up at their park.

I trusted Felix so much because he wouldn’t divulge any information about me to the Police. He had told me on countless occasions, that no matter the amount of torture he receives from the Police that he would not divulge any information about our activities.

My girlfriend, Ijeoma

‘’ While I was still contemplating on what to do next, I received another call from one of my girlfriends, Ijeoma, who I was so fond of. She said she wanted to see me. Immediately, I had this feeling that the Police had arrested her.

I told her that she could not see me because I knew she was with the Police, then I dropped the call. I was very worried and needed to hasten our journey out of Nigeria. I planned to travel with my entire family to Canada but the Canadian Embassy refused to grant me a visa.

So we decided to move to Ghana where I have three houses so we could apply for Canadian visa from Ghana. Two days later, Ijeoma’s twin sister who lives in the east called and informed me that her sister called from the Police station that she was arrested because of me and the Police wanted her to bring the sum of N200,000 as a bribe for her bail. I told her the Police were only deceiving her because the matter at hand was beyond N200,000 bribe.

My instructionto my boys

‘’I asked her to look for a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, who could stand for her. I also told her to look for someone who knows the Inspector General of Police, so they can take her case to him. I told her that with such pressure the Police will release her because she didn’t commit any offence that would warrant her arrest.

A few days after that, the Police swooped on my younger sister, Nzube and her husband and they took them to the Police station. I didn’t know how they did it, but I called their numbers for two days and they were switched off.

It was then that I suspected that they have been arrested. Immediately I called my mother in Bayelsa State and told her that the people chasing me had apprehended my sister and her husband. Luckily my sister has never been to my house in Magodo Estate, it would be difficult for her to lead the Police to my place. I became confused. I didn’t know what to do.

For me, I knew I was secured because I know how security agents track their targets but I was scared of my boys some of whom didn’t know how to secure themselves. I sent messages to some of my boys alerting them that security operatives were clamping down on us and they should all be careful. I asked them to stop sleeping in their houses and I also gave them tips on how to stay secured.

My girlfriend, Amaka

‘’One week before my arrest, one of my girlfriends, Amaka, who lives in Okota called me and demanded money. I asked her what she needed money for and she said there was no food in her house, adding that her children were hungry. I was surprised and suspected something must be wrong because I gave her N25, 000 for feeding two days before she made that call. I asked her about the money I gave her earlier, she said she had spent it. From that point, I suspected something was wrong.

Then I switched off the phone she was calling me with. I had one special phone. Whenever the phone is switched off I will receive messages from her asking why my phone was switched off and she would be begging me to come and see her. At one point I called her mother and told her that I was suspecting that something was wrong with Amaka.

I asked her to visit her house to confirm. Her mother sent someone there and after spending about two hours with her, I was informed that she was alright but she only needed money and they gave her N3000. That confirmed something was wrong. Amaka is the one that gives them money, not the other way round. They couldn’t be giving Amaka N3,000 because I know what I give to her.

I became very drunk

‘’That singular action confirmed my suspicions that policemen were with her. I called her and told her that I had a feeling that there were policemen with her and they were trying to use her to arrest me but she denied. I asked her to give the phone to her children one after the other and asked them if there was any stranger in their house.

They all said there was none. I wasn’t convinced because I knew how the Police do their job and how they think. I also knew that for a high-profile target like me, the Police will do everything possible to get at me. A few days later, my wife and children left for Ghana. Amaka was still calling and begging me to send money to her. The night before my arrest, I lodged in a hotel in Okota, close to her house and I could not sleep.

I was busy drinking all night and I became very drunk. At 4:am I summoned the courage to see her. Her house is close to the road. When I got close to her gate, I stopped on the road and called her, when she picked I asked her not to drop her phone. I said she should stay on the call and meet me outside. She came bare-footed and was still on the call.

I opened the door, she came in and I drove off with her. When we got far from the house, I took her phone and switched it off. I asked the identity of the people in her house but she said there was nobody in the house. I became angry, held her neck and I tried to kill her. She screamed and confessed that the policemen had been with her in the past one week and they were trying to use her to lure me. Instantly I pushed her out of my car and I zoomed off.

I was stupid

‘’While at Iyana-Ipaja, I saw some vehicles trailing me seriously and thought that they were policemen. At a point, I lost control of the vehicle and rammed it against a culvert on the expressway. I quickly abandoned the car and took a trycicle to where I could get a cab that could take me to my hotel. While in the hotel, I decided it was over and I needed to leave the country as soon as possible. At 7:am I checked out of the hotel and called someone to pick the car from where I left it. I took another taxi home.

Evans at one of the houses (Dens) in Ejigbo
While in the house, I called an Uber taxi driver to come and pick me from the house. The driver was to take me from my house to Seme Border, where I would connect to Ghana, but while in the house and I was packing my things into the Uber taxi, the police showed up at my place and arrested me. I regretted going to see Amaka .

I knew Amaka was used to hunt me down, but I was stupid, I f**ked up. Going to see Amaka was my biggest mistake. It made me fall. It brought my downfall. I ought to have been at the front of that vehicle that took my family to Ghana.”

I don’t collect ransom abroad

‘’ I don’t give bank account to my victims because it could be traced. Whoever made the allegations that he paid part of his ransom in South Africa isn’t sincere. I would have been arrested and they should bring the account number they paid the money into. The Interpol can trace the account and know the owner. I collect my ransom in Nigeria and after collecting it, I also do not travel abroad. I usually ask the people keeping my victims to tell them that I have traveled abroad. I usually call my victims’ relatives with my satellite phones and inform them that I was out of the country. This would make them relax a little and after some time, I will ask my boys to release the victims and drop them where they could locate their people.”

I was fair to my victims

Evans further disclosed that he treated his victims fairly, adding that the only wrong things he did were to chain, blindfold and detain his victim for months. He said he was doing these because he wanted his victims to meet his demand.

He added that the only victim, who he treated wrongly was Mr. Cosmos Ojukwu, who he said he collected an extra sum of $200,000, from after receiving an initial payment of $1million.

Evans said he threatened Ojukwu into paying the additional ransom of $200,000 because members of his family paid the $1million he demanded swiftly without wasting time.

He said: “After he paid the $1million I demanded swiftly than I expected more. I informed him while he was being released that I would be collecting another ransom from him. I told him he would have to pay me an additional $200,000 because the $1 million he gave me earlier were in old currencies. I asked him to bring my balance.

He felt I was joking, then I informed him that I was not just going to kidnap him again, but would hunt his entire family. He panicked and called me that he had raised the money. I asked him to bring the money to Awka. When he got there I asked him to lodge in a hotel, he obeyed me. At night I asked to bring the money to where I was. He obeyed me and paid me the money. From that time I left him alone.’’

Nigerians tell Tonto Dikeh

…and the whole Social Media, and Nigerians in General are tired of the messy details of what crashed Tonto dikeh’s year old marriage to her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill.

Fans and concerned citizens of the Nigerian Social Media have asked the ex-couple to quit harrassing them with all the updates on the media.

Again, the drama all started yesterday when House of Maliq published a new interview where Tonto, yet again taled about her failed marriage.

This time, she regurgitated same lines many people already know- that he violently attack her, that during the short course of their relationship, he often crawled back to her, asking for forgiveness; etc, etc.

“I loved him and I wanted it to work,” she said in the interview that is currently making rounds on social media.

But Nigerians aren’t having it anymore. See some of the reactions;

hanatuethnan: “Abeg we are tired too much drama.”

“Security operatives should take my son to T.B Joshua” – Kidnapper Evans Father

Kidnapper Evans Father

Stephen Onwuamadike, father of billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans on Friday reacted to claim by his son that he gave him N3 million and a Sports Utility Vehicle, SUV.

Stephen dismissed his son’s claim as false, urging security operatives to take him to Prophet T.B Joshua for deliverance before any other thing.

Evans had told reporters last weekend when he took detectives to one of the dens where his gang used for the detention of victims on Green Street, Jakande Estate, Isolo, Lagos that he gave his father the gifts.

He had said,

“Before I stopped going home, I gave my father N3million and I bought him a jeep and pick up van.

“I believe that part of the money I gave him was what he used to establish the piggery business.

“Had it been my father had taken good care of me, I wouldn’t have become what I am today.”

However, Stephen told The Nation that nothing could have been farther from the truth than the allegation by his son.

He said in his Nnewi, Anambra State home,

“If he insists that he gave me money, they should ask him when and how he brought the money to me, whether through the bank or through anybody.

“I have been in poverty in Nnewi here and feeding has been a problem for me and somebody, somewhere said he gave me N3million.Where is the money or any sign of it in this house?

“Money does not hide, I feed myself and my mother with this small piggery I’m running, while my mother engages in buying of goats to keep body and soul together even at her old age”

“My son should stop talking of things that are impossible and pray to God for forgiveness. I have never been in support of bad things in life and will never engage in such at this age.”

Onwumadike (snr) also disputed claim by Evans that he has herbalists in Nnewi (one of whom, according to him, is a traditional ruler) who were preparing charms for him.

“Security operatives should take him to Pastor T.B Joshua for deliverance before any other thing, but he should stop dropping names”, he said.

“I promise to become a pastor if pardoned” – Notorious robbery suspect begs

Notorious robbery suspect begs
Eziaha Joshua and Onyempa

Detectives attached to the Abia State Police Command have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly robbing a filling station in the state, NewTelegraph reported.

He begged that he will become a pastor if he is forgiven. The suspect identified as Eziaha Joshua, from Ukwa West Local Government Area, confessed that he and his gang members attacked and robbed the filling station located at Obehie in Ukwa West Local Government Area, carting away N86,000, which was realised from the day’s sales.

Joshua, who introduced himself as the gang leader, said that he got N35,000 as his share of the loot. He explained that the motorcyclist, who took them to the scene of the crime, smiled home with N18,000. He noted that the third suspect, who is still on the run, got N27,000.

Narrating how he and his gang members carried out the robbery operation, Joshua explained that his friend, Onyempa, sold the idea of robbing the filling station to him and he bought it.

He said:

“Onyempa told me that he had a short gun and a knife, which he and others used in disarming people going to their offices in the morning before robbing them of their valuables. Onyempa asked me to arrange for a motorcyclist, who would take us to the filling station. I contacted a commercial motorcyclist, who I had known for long. I told the cyclist about the operation and he agreed to join. I then rehearsed the operation with him.”

On the fateful day of the operation, the gang got to the filling station about 7.30 p.m. This was the time given to them to arrive at the scene by Onyempa.

Onyempa also told them that he wouldn’t join them at the filling station because the manager and some of the attendants knew him.

The plan was for Onyempa to wait at the point where the motorbike was parked among flower hedge until after the operation. It was a successful operation.

The gang robbed the filling station and disappeared into the darkness. However, luck ran out on them when the manager reported the matter to the police. The manager also remembered the type of perfume one of the armed robbers sprayed on the day the gang stormed the filling station.

It was the perfume that exposed Joshua and led to his eventual arrest.

A police source said:

“The suspect lives in that community. He also used to work as a tiller in that community. The perfume was not a common one. One day, the suspect and the manager walked past each other. The manager smelt the perfume fragrance on Joshua and started suspecting him. He reported to the police. The rest, as they used to say, is history. We followed up on the manager’s complaint and observation. We picked Joshua, during interrogation, he confessed.”

While in police custody, Joshua told the police that the filling station robbery was not his first operation.

He said:

“I regret my action. I promise to repent and enrol in a Bible school and become a pastor if I’m pardoned. Before I started robbing, I was a tiller. I also play music at events.”

The cyclist, who gave his name as Chibuike, said he was a software engineer, but got involved in robbery because it sounded attractive. He, however, confessed that he actually did the operation, but added that it was a mistake.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade, said that the gang was arrested on June 13, following a tip-off. The police boss said that the gang robbed the filling station on May 19.

He said:

“They were arrested by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) attached to Obehie Police Station. This was as a result of the follow up to the arrest of Joshua and a member of the three-man gang. The two suspects, who are members of a three-man gang, confessed to have robbed Ezeudu Chinasa of Benvick Filling Station, of her Intel phone valued N180,000, a wristwatch and a bag containing a Holy Bible.”

Oyebade added that the gang members were armed with a locally-made pistol, kitchen knife and rode on a motorcycle. He said the Intel phone had been recovered, while policemen are already on the trail of the third suspect.

Oyebade urged members of the public to assist police with information, in order to reduce crime in the state. This was even as he promised Nigerians who assist police with information of absolute confidentiality.

According to Oyebade, in keeping with the avowed commitment to a crime-free state, the police in the state was collaborating with banks and private school proprietors.

The commissioner observed that with the recent arrest of suspected kidnap kingpin, Chukwumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, kidnapping would no longer be attractive. He noted that the command would follow the recent achievement of the police, with proactive policing in Abia State.

He added: “We will continue to do our best and with the collaboration of sister security agencies in the state. We will intensify land patrol and air/helicopter surveillance.”

Prophet Madungwe: “God has appointed me his Special Adviser and his 4th in command”

Prophet Madungwe, a Zimbabwean man of God, has shocked his compatriots with the claim that he is God’s special adviser and meets with the almighty on a regular basis to make decisions on how the world should be governed.

Prophet Madungwe

According to iHarare, the controversial prophet also told his congregation that he is God’s number four after Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit because he is the most righteous person in his country where only 60 people will go to heaven.

The self-proclaimed God’s advisor also claimed that even Angel Michael and Angel Gabriel come after him on the righteousness scale as he and God are the best of friends.

Prophet Madungwe was quoted as telling his members that he was with God recently where they had a very long discussion on what will happen to the world and when asked to show a proof of the meeting by way of photographs, he was said to have replied that it was not possible to have pictures with God.

“You can’t have pictures of God, the cameras will not function.

He came to me in physical form on April 30, 2017. Only 60 people are righteous in this country and among those, only a few of the popular prophets are among the list. .I cannot reveal the names I came fourth because I performed better than the others. Performance is judged monthly. In April, I saw God and he ordained me to be his advisor; He told me when the world will come to an end.

God told me that if all people repent, the world will come to an end in 300 years but if not, then it will be 100 years. I will have a meeting with Him and tell him if people are repenting because he has put me in charge of advising Him on matters concerning the world. This will be in five years.”

Madungwe who claims to have had meetings with God over 20 times this year alone, also described Heaven look like, adding that the earth is the photocopy of heaven with the only difference being that heaven is built with gold.

Hypertek Music Boss, 2face Idibia who previously signed on Dammy Krane to his record label, has come to the latter defense, dismissing the credit card fraud charges leveled against the singer. 2face tagged the “mess” dammy krane is currently embroiled in, as an “implication”.

“Dammy is good. He’s a young blood that very charismatic, likeable, talented, crazy but not that type of crazy. I think it’s safe to call it implication, he just caught up in something he knew nothing about. Because of time, place, association, he just got caght up in all that. But he’s fine now.”

This is the first time 2baba Idibia would be speaking up about the messy court case since the ‘Amin’ singer was arrested and charged to court.

38 Nigerian Universities increase tuition fees (See full list)

Nigerian Universities increase tuition fees

In a statement released on Thursday by the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) – the University of Ibadan chapter, Dr. Deji Omole, no fewer than 38 universities across Nigeria have increased their school fees.

According to reports, the latest increment might be attributed to poor funding by the federal and state governments as ASUU poorly rated the President Muhammadu Buhari in the area of funding of university education.

UNICAL Student Arrested For Allegedly Stealing N300k From A Fruit Seller In Calabar (Photo)

unical student arrested

A 400 level student of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Emmanuel Dominic, has been arrested by the police in Calabar, Cross River State, for allegedly stealing N300, 000 from a fruit seller who is saving towards her education in Calabar.

The fruit seller who pleaded anonymity, revealed that the final year student has been coming around her business place and patronizes her frequently.

She said:

“He patronizes me frequently, he usually relaxes with us. It all started with his frequent patronage and friendliness, sometimes he will be in possession of my phone in the name of collecting music at times movies, at times I do ask him to help charge my phone for me in that barbing salon (pointing at the barbers shop adjacent to her fruit stand) where we all do”.

“I saved that money for my school issues because I have finished since two years ago, I did my project and all that is left to do my clearance which includes my outstanding fees and is the major reason I am doing this business and saving that money in my UBA account. Recently my partner went to the bank to use the ATM to withdraw some money to solve an urgent issue and upon reaching there the machine kept telling him insufficient funds”.

“We went to the bank (UBA Calabar road branch, the one opposite Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHEDC) for enquiry and discovered that severally recharge cards ranging from 5000 plus and at times transfer have been done from my account to another using my phone.

They advised us to keep cool not to scare the person and think carefully. When the records were shown to me and I thought over it and then discovered that Dominic is the one behind it, some days he usually pass and would pretend not to notice us one day I ran after him and held his shirt asking him why he did what he did to me, he denied but because of the drama people came and at the end to prove his innocence he went to the bank with us and eventually it was his number that appeared in the many recharge card purchase and his friend’s account number that he does transfer my money to.

At the end he opened up and told us that he used the money to solve some problems”

According to CrossRiverWatch, findings reveal that the several transactions Dominic allegedly did from the fruit sellers account were within the period of 16th May, 2017 and 15th June, 2017.

The account Dominic usually transfer the money to belongs to one of his course mate, Otu whom the suspect, who is the only son of his mother, usually tells that his uncle is sending money through his account and when it drops, Otu does the withdrawal and hands over but when Dominic was caught, he sent Otu a text saying he shouldn’t go to his bank that all the money he’s been withdrawing for him is stolen.

While still at the bank, upon Dominic’s confession, his mother fainted. She later returned a hundred thousand Naira and wrote undertaken to pay back the remaining sum in three installments beginning from 19th June, 2017.

Nigerian Lady Recounts Her Experience At A Jehovah’s Witness Wedding

jehovah's witness wedding

A Nigerian Lady, identified as Penocrat Ayomide Ugonna, has taken to her Facebook page to share an experience she had at a Jehovah’s Witness wedding.

She revealed that she and her neighbor got disappointed after the wedding had been over-hyped, when they didn’t accept the gifts they presented to the couple and also when food did not get to them after struggles.

Read the full story below:

Please if you’re my friend and you attend Jehovah’s witness, biko don’t ever open that your mouth you use in eating sharwarma or drinking orijin to invite me for your wedding, because I won’t come! Im not joking! Ho Ha!!!?
.
Jesu! That was how my neighbour invited me and my friends to her wedding o. You need to see how this babe finished hyping the kain event sef. She even told us not to eat, that she will take care of our ‘food needs’ o. Okay!?
.
On behalf of me and my friends, I told her we might not be able to meet up with the whole church serenren, but we will come for the reception. Babe agreed.
.
So me and my friends contributed money to buy her a nice wedding gift. See broke me. I even gave my last card. Kai!??
.
After they were done with church wedding na, we got the information, and headed straight for the reception hall. On getting there, we discovered that the food and drinks were under over beefed security o. Very tight sontin! We were waiting for them to share food.
Omo, no show o. ??? See us that came hungry! I wan die!
.
We waited and waited and waited. Not just us o. Other people also that came to the reception venue too were waiting. Nothing! You can’t even look the people in charge of the food in the face. Very unfriendly specie! ??
.
All my attempts to smile at one brother and form fine girl failed woefully. Brother wasn’t moved. At a point I started thinking he was either gay or castrated.
.
Imagine me! I even cut eye for brother, yet no show. I failed. As in correct F9 wey dem use red biro write o. Tueh!!??
.
So eventually, the people who went to church. started arriving gradually. Chairs started getting filled up. The unfriendly caterers started loosening up, as they greeted their fellow church members. O chi’m! How did I forget I wasn’t a member if the Kain church.?
.
Then something funny happened. These people brought out list of names o. No jokes! and started sharing rice according to positions. ?
.
Firstly, they served all the Elders, in no particular order. Elder Johnson, Elder Vincent, Elder nkea, na Elder nkeozo. Tufia!??
.
By the time they were done with the elders, we were almost dead. My belle don dey tell me how far. I looked at my neighbor, Aunty throway face. Issorite! God! I died! ??
.
Then they started dishing out food to their church members. Coman see aroma everywhere. It wasn’t funny o. Mt friends were practically sulking ! See painment. Kai!??.
.
And these their church members sef were not even helping matters. Very wicked set of human beings! You need to see how they were just tearing the meat and emptying their bottles of soft drinks without conscience. At a point, I started feeling like they were doing it on purpose, so that our throat will long well well and fall ontop ground. ???
.
Hian! I could practically hear the annoying noises their wide mouths were making as they deleted the plates of jollof, devoured the chicken meats, and cracked the bones of the unfortunate animal to powder.
.Selfish people!?
.
Finally, they were done serving members. Just as I was thinking the friends and well wishers will be next in line, another list came out. This time, it was for people that witnessed the joining at the church.??
.
You go dey front laidis, usher go pass food to person wey dey your back. Them go even throw can drink across your head, give another person. Azzin, malt was just flying upandan. One man got fed up and caught one. As he tried to open it, usher change am for am o.
” Excuse me Sir. That drink doesn’t belong to you!”??
.
For where! The man opened the thing and drank o.?? He was like;
.
” What sort of nansenze is this? I have been here for the past 2hrs. No Rice, No swallow! No Drink! Not even water! What is happening? Oginidi?”
.
“Did you come to the kingdom???” The usher fired back.???
.
Ha! Kingdom kwa! Kingdom of where? Abi is it the seven kingdoms in Game of thrones????
.
It was later that Penocrat Ayomide Ugonna, discovered that they refer to their church as a kingdom, and anyone who didn’t come to the kingdom for the wedding, was perceived as WORDLY, and not fit to partake in the ‘choppings’. ??
.
“We are one in Christ!”the man replied. While he gulped down the can of Amstel Malta, at the expense of the overly angry usher. ??
.
Immediately me and my friends decided to use the man’s type of tactics to collect drinks too, we discovered that this people had stopped throwing drinks o. They now clutch their malt tightly and walk down to the seat of whoever they feel like giving, and hand over the damn thing.
???
.
Inukwa!???
.
After that last category, they stopped serving. Coman see hunger written on people’s faces. I was hungry o. But some people were both hungry and angry. You need to see different types of red eyes. Men, women, children, dgz.?
.
When all hope was lost, My friend brought out groundnut from her bag and started munching. All of us begged her o. Including one fine boy that sat near us. No forming for this wan at all! Hunger is real!????
.
Finally, we decided to leave na. Wedding don cast. Since, the church people were just crunching, binging and munching with reckless abandon, while we the onlookers were just observing the swayings of their mouths. As per Mr. Lukman and Madam Lucozades,?? is it not better to get the fuck out of that place?
.
We got up, carried our gift and walked straight to the bride to hand it over, when they hit us with another heartbreaking missile.
.
Do you know these people don’t even collect gifts at wedding? Hay God!???
.
My neighbor rejected the gift we contributed money to buy for her, because it was against their doctrine. Okay o. We carried our gift and were doing about turn when I heard a dry voice saying;
.
” Why are you guys leaving. Wait na. We are almost done with the event.”
.
I turned back. Lo and behold. It was my neighbour. She was drinking fanta.
Hay God! what level of painment is this kwanu?
.
Is like this wan is mad.???
.
Wait and do what? Shine eyes while you people do us longer throat with your nonsense meals?
.
Wait and do what? Lock the doors or clean the place or wash the plates? Thunder!??
.
Not just ordinary thunder o. A Hymanic thunder!
.
Wait fez o. Hunger is using me to recite state and capital, and you people are asking me to wait?
May Amadioha position soldier ants inside your genitals!
.
P.S: if you’re a Jehovah’s witness member, please do laidis✋✋✋. I want to block you and make space for better people who have regard for human feelings.
.
Kingdom that they’re not sharing food inside is that wan kingdom?
.
Nonsense and paradise!

9ice replies Falz after he called him out for promoting “yahoo boys” in his music

9ice replies Falz

Singer, 9ice Abolore has replied Falz after the latter urged his colleagues to stop promoting/hailing fraudsters in their song.

Recall, Falz yesterday, called out artistes for hailing fraudsters in their music, and he noted that these artistes are endangering the future of the youths through their music.. and he cited a line from 9ice’s single ‘Living Things’ to drive his point home.

Falz said:

“You Are An Entertainer, In A Position As A Role Model To Younger Ones Coming Up And In Your Musical Record You Are Greeting All The Yahoo Boys, You Are Greeting All The Fraudsters , Calling Their Name Personally, Hailing Them, Wire Wire Mo Fe Cha Che, All This Culture You Are Making The Young Ones Think It’s Cool To Do It, It’s Not, You Are Destroying Our Future. As An Entertainer Sing About Something That Can Help Our Life, Paint A Picture, Tell A Story, Don’t Glorify Fraudulent Behaviour It’s Not Good.”

This interview of course stirred major reactions on Social Media, and this made Falz a trending topic in Nigeria. While many Nigerians praised the ‘Soft Work’ rapper for his honesty, others had unkind things to say.

However, 9ice has replied Falz’ accusation and denied that he was promoting fraud in the controversial song ‘Living Things.

He said:

“It’s Not About Promoting Fraud, So To Speak. It’s About One Who Wakes Up In The Morning Needs To Go And Work And Earn A Living. It’s Not Negative, It’s Positive. You Just Have To Be In That Realm To Understand What The Song Is All About.”

“My wife starves me of sex” — Man caught having sex with goat says

A man identified as Babangida Garba has been arrested in the Ungwar Mata, Funtua Local Government of Katsina state after his pregnant wife caught him having sex with a goat belonging to their neighbor.

The shocked wife quickly raised an alarm, attracting residents.

Garuba, a Goldsmith, was eventually handed over to the police and he allegedly confessed to the action, claiming it’s because his wife starves him of sex.

He was paraded on Thursday alongside other criminals at the headquarters of Katsina State police command by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Usman Abdullahi. Speaking to journalists, he said it was the second time he was sleeping with the goat.

Garuba is yet to be charged to court but the state Police Commissioner, Aliyu Abdullahi, while confirming the incident, said that Garuba would soon appear in court.

Evans reveals why he installed CCTV cameras in all his mansions

The billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudemeje George Onwuamadike alias Evans, said he installed close circuit camera (CCTV) in all his houses to prevent his arrest.

Evans who is currently being detained by operatives of the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT), said he had people on ground monitoring the CCTV, and the monitors gave him daily reports on the identities of those venturing suspiciously close to his residence.

He said he also personally carried out profiling of the CCTV footage to ensure he was not being trailed by detectives.

He said all his precautions failed because his time was up. He added,

“I lived a simple life although I had money. My neighbors thought that I was a businessman. On the day I was arrested, I had this strange feeling.

So I decided to stay indoors. I regret all my actions. As you can see I am reading my Bible, particularly the book of Lamentation. I don’t know what faith holds in stock for me with Lagos State’s laws on kidnapping.”

Actress Funke Adesiyan says cheating doesn’t make your man a bad person

Beautiful Nollywood Actress Funke Adesiyan has advised all women to stop taking cheating as an issue in a relationship, she noted that cheating doesn’t make your man a bad person, instead it only validates him as a man.

According to the actress, women should look beyond the flaws of cheating, and focus on the way their men treat them. Here’s what she wrote;

“Leaving a man because he cheats is like relocating from Nigeria to America because of rain. News flash: it rains everywhere. Find a good man who loves you and appreciates you. Every other thing can be worked on. Men are naturally born to cheat. Look beyond this flaw and focus on how he treats you.”

She added;

“Good morning guys. I read many comments from my last post and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s funny that it’s women who are answering for their men that the men don’t cheat on them. My sisters, let the men answer for themselves. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow.

You cannot answer for people. I stand by my position 100%. I know that as a modern woman, we aim to break away from the norm and be as westernised as possible but believe me, it happens everywhere. It’s only those who got caught that are referred to as offenders. Not many men can sincerely say they have been with only their partner for 10yrs without “playing”. It doesn’t make them bad people, it just makes them men.

Who supplies Evans assorted shirts in police detention? — Nigerians Ask! (photos)

Self-confessed kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike, popularly known as Evans, has a very high taste in many things. His elegantly furnished mansion says it all.

It has been reported that the suspect cried and lamented that he is now locked among common criminals.

Perhaps he feels humiliated that his dignity, self esteem and ego have been badly battered.

But can the same be said of his fashion?

It’s been 12 days since he was caught, but on the three main occasions that Evans has had to make public appearances since his arrest, he has appeared in different shirts and a pair of jeans trousers that don’t seem to get dirty.

In the first photos of his arrest shared online, he appeared in a striped shirt. When he was paraded publicly for the first time on Sunday, June 11, he wore a baby pink striped shirt.

When he was interviewed by several media houses, he wore a turquoise blue and white striped shirt.

He repeated the baby pink shirt on the day he took the police to some of his operational hideouts.

Above all, the neat and well kept appearance of the kidnapping kingpin, even under inauspicious conditions, speaks highly of his sophisticated taste.

The question is: Who supplies Evans the change of clothes in detention?

Evans obtained Ghanaian passport as Asare Nelson, used different names for his family, mansions in Ghana unveiled

There are reports that Notorious Kidnap Kingpin Evans, fraudulently secured Ghanaian passports for himself, his wife and his children with fake names.

Joy News reports that Evans was issued with a Ghanaian passport this year under a fake name, Asare Nelson in Accra.

He was arrested on June 10 at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport while exiting Nigeria and the Ghanaian passport was found on him during a search.

Documents sighted by Joy News indicate that his wife and two children are also in possession of Ghanaian passports.

The Nigerian passport of his wife bears the name Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike issued at the Abuja passport headquarters.

Her Ghanaian passport bears the name Precious Asare born sometime in July of 1985. The children’s passports also bear the last name Asare all issued in Accra.

The document signed by the Nigerian Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Abba Kyari said Mr Onwuamadike has moved his wife and five children to Ghana because of the nature of his business.

The kidnapper’s plush residence in Ghana is said to be located at the Spintex Road in Accra. The duplex structure is where Mrs Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike is said to reside with their children.

The 31-year-old woman in a telephone conversation with Nigeria’s Vanguard newspaper from Ghana said she was not aware her husband was into kidnapping business.

She said he told her he deals with spare parts and shipping business and his reason for moving them to Ghana was for the children to have a good education.

Evans obtained Ghanaian passport

Based on this reason, she relocated with the children while her husband stayed behind to continue his trade.

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris at the meeting of West African Police Chiefs in Accra on Tuesday, revealed that the notorious kidnapper has a Ghanaian passport and cautioned the Ghanaian authorities to tighten modalities for the issuance of passports.

“Nigerians are celebrating the arrest of the Ghanaian-Nigerian. Ghanaian because he has a Ghanaian passport something you guys have to look at,” he advised.

Taking up the IG’s gauntlet, the Ghanaian North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, charged security agencies to move in quickly to arrest Evans’ accomplices in Ghana.

According to Ablakwa, the use of Ghanaian passport by Evans exposes the weaknesses in that country’s passport system.

He said: “For now, it is a case to do more with kidnapping and those loopholes in the passport system could be used by terrorists. So, they have to be identified and closed so that terrorists will not exploit that.”
