Controversial journalist and Blogger, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, who was re-arrested due to the fact that her magistrate bail of N200,000 was not perfected, has regained freedom.
She revealed she’s being sued in two separate courts for posting a “newstip alleging corruption and adultery sent to her to investigate with witnesses coming forward.”

Magistrate court continues July then Federal high court October. S/O to my prison staff family who did a lot of paperwork and shame on the judiciary who intentionally slowed down the prison court order. The judiciary should rid themselves of corrupt employees.
In a statement released on Thursday by the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) – the University of Ibadan chapter, Dr. Deji Omole, no fewer than 38 universities across Nigeria have increased their school fees.
According to reports, the latest increment might be attributed to poor funding by the federal and state governments as ASUU poorly rated the President Muhammadu Buhari in the area of funding of university education.
ASUU also noted that it will be difficult for any Nigeria university to effectively compete globally with the attitude of Buhari not to allocate enough budgetary allocation as prescribed by UNESCO to fund education.
The statement which assessed the two years of Buhari in office, lamented that the current government had made Nigerians poorer, adding that public education was not taken seriously because most children of the rich and those in high offices do not school in Nigeria.

Nigerian musician, Sean Tizzle, who boasts of a million followers has been advised to take the official step if he wants to get verified after he crawled to Instagram’s page to beg for the verification of his page.
This act has made many people wonder if the musician is not knowledgeable enough to know that there’s a process to follow for verification of accounts and not by commenting on the official page of Instagram.
A 400 level student of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Emmanuel Dominic, has been arrested by the police in Calabar, Cross River State, for allegedly stealing N300, 000 from a fruit seller who is saving towards her education in Calabar.
The fruit seller who pleaded anonymity, revealed that the final year student has been coming around her business place and patronizes her frequently.
She said:
“He patronizes me frequently, he usually relaxes with us. It all started with his frequent patronage and friendliness, sometimes he will be in possession of my phone in the name of collecting music at times movies, at times I do ask him to help charge my phone for me in that barbing salon (pointing at the barbers shop adjacent to her fruit stand) where we all do”.
“I saved that money for my school issues because I have finished since two years ago, I did my project and all that is left to do my clearance which includes my outstanding fees and is the major reason I am doing this business and saving that money in my UBA account. Recently my partner went to the bank to use the ATM to withdraw some money to solve an urgent issue and upon reaching there the machine kept telling him insufficient funds”.
“We went to the bank (UBA Calabar road branch, the one opposite Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHEDC) for enquiry and discovered that severally recharge cards ranging from 5000 plus and at times transfer have been done from my account to another using my phone.
They advised us to keep cool not to scare the person and think carefully. When the records were shown to me and I thought over it and then discovered that Dominic is the one behind it, some days he usually pass and would pretend not to notice us one day I ran after him and held his shirt asking him why he did what he did to me, he denied but because of the drama people came and at the end to prove his innocence he went to the bank with us and eventually it was his number that appeared in the many recharge card purchase and his friend’s account number that he does transfer my money to.
At the end he opened up and told us that he used the money to solve some problems”
According to CrossRiverWatch, findings reveal that the several transactions Dominic allegedly did from the fruit sellers account were within the period of 16th May, 2017 and 15th June, 2017.
The account Dominic usually transfer the money to belongs to one of his course mate, Otu whom the suspect, who is the only son of his mother, usually tells that his uncle is sending money through his account and when it drops, Otu does the withdrawal and hands over but when Dominic was caught, he sent Otu a text saying he shouldn’t go to his bank that all the money he’s been withdrawing for him is stolen.
While still at the bank, upon Dominic’s confession, his mother fainted. She later returned a hundred thousand Naira and wrote undertaken to pay back the remaining sum in three installments beginning from 19th June, 2017.

A man identified as Babangida Garba has been arrested in the Ungwar Mata, Funtua Local Government of Katsina state after his pregnant wife caught him having sex with a goat belonging to their neighbor.
The shocked wife quickly raised an alarm, attracting residents.
Garuba, a Goldsmith, was eventually handed over to the police and he allegedly confessed to the action, claiming it’s because his wife starves him of sex.
He was paraded on Thursday alongside other criminals at the headquarters of Katsina State police command by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Usman Abdullahi. Speaking to journalists, he said it was the second time he was sleeping with the goat.
Garuba is yet to be charged to court but the state Police Commissioner, Aliyu Abdullahi, while confirming the incident, said that Garuba would soon appear in court.
The billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudemeje George Onwuamadike alias Evans, said he installed close circuit camera (CCTV) in all his houses to prevent his arrest.
Evans who is currently being detained by operatives of the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT), said he had people on ground monitoring the CCTV, and the monitors gave him daily reports on the identities of those venturing suspiciously close to his residence.
He said he also personally carried out profiling of the CCTV footage to ensure he was not being trailed by detectives.
He said all his precautions failed because his time was up. He added,
“I lived a simple life although I had money. My neighbors thought that I was a businessman. On the day I was arrested, I had this strange feeling.
So I decided to stay indoors. I regret all my actions. As you can see I am reading my Bible, particularly the book of Lamentation. I don’t know what faith holds in stock for me with Lagos State’s laws on kidnapping.”

Self-confessed kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike, popularly known as Evans, has a very high taste in many things. His elegantly furnished mansion says it all.
It has been reported that the suspect cried and lamented that he is now locked among common criminals.

There are reports that Notorious Kidnap Kingpin Evans, fraudulently secured Ghanaian passports for himself, his wife and his children with fake names.
Joy News reports that Evans was issued with a Ghanaian passport this year under a fake name, Asare Nelson in Accra.
He was arrested on June 10 at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport while exiting Nigeria and the Ghanaian passport was found on him during a search.
Documents sighted by Joy News indicate that his wife and two children are also in possession of Ghanaian passports.

The Nigerian passport of his wife bears the name Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike issued at the Abuja passport headquarters.
Her Ghanaian passport bears the name Precious Asare born sometime in July of 1985. The children’s passports also bear the last name Asare all issued in Accra.
The document signed by the Nigerian Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Abba Kyari said Mr Onwuamadike has moved his wife and five children to Ghana because of the nature of his business.
The kidnapper’s plush residence in Ghana is said to be located at the Spintex Road in Accra. The duplex structure is where Mrs Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike is said to reside with their children.
The 31-year-old woman in a telephone conversation with Nigeria’s Vanguard newspaper from Ghana said she was not aware her husband was into kidnapping business.
She said he told her he deals with spare parts and shipping business and his reason for moving them to Ghana was for the children to have a good education.

Based on this reason, she relocated with the children while her husband stayed behind to continue his trade.
The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris at the meeting of West African Police Chiefs in Accra on Tuesday, revealed that the notorious kidnapper has a Ghanaian passport and cautioned the Ghanaian authorities to tighten modalities for the issuance of passports.
“Nigerians are celebrating the arrest of the Ghanaian-Nigerian. Ghanaian because he has a Ghanaian passport something you guys have to look at,” he advised.
Taking up the IG’s gauntlet, the Ghanaian North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, charged security agencies to move in quickly to arrest Evans’ accomplices in Ghana.
According to Ablakwa, the use of Ghanaian passport by Evans exposes the weaknesses in that country’s passport system.
He said: “For now, it is a case to do more with kidnapping and those loopholes in the passport system could be used by terrorists. So, they have to be identified and closed so that terrorists will not exploit that.”

26 suspects out of 52 initially arrested for taking part in the lyching of Major Maxwell mahama, have being arraigned at the District Court in Accra.
The late Major, who was the commander of the military detachment at Denkyira-Obuasi, the Central Region of Ghana was killed by a mob on Monday, May 29, 2017, after they mistook him for an armed robber.
The suspects, men and women who some of them were pictured close to tears arrived at the court in a huge blue van. The accused persons are being charged with conspiracy to commit murder and murder.
Other 26 suspects who were discharged have also been arrested for the police to carry out further investigation.

An Instagram slay queen was caught and disgraced after she was caught all dressed up for a party.
Apparently, the lady whose Instagram Handle is @tejupretty has been owing someone, a lady the sum of almost N500,000 and she has refused to pay her debt for almost two years.
Instead, she kept borrowing from other people and was finally nabbed at a party she went to.
An Ikeja high court on Thursday remanded an American citizen, Marco Ramirez, at Kirikiri Maximum Prison for allegedly defrauding three Nigerians in a $565,000 green card and investment scam.
Ramirez was remanded following his not-guilty plea to a 16-count charge of obtaining money under false pretences.
He was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
O. Aigboje, the EFCC prosecutor, alleged that the accused, managing director of three companies – USA Now Plc., Eagleford Instalodge Group and USA Now Capital Group – committed the offences between February 2013 and August 2013.
Aigboje said Ramirez fraudulently received $545,000 from Godson Echejue to invest in his company, Eagleford Instalodge Group, in order to procure an American green card (residence permit) for him (Echejue).
He also allegedly received $10,000 from Abubakar Umar through a non-existent investment programme in the US, which was billed to make Umar eligible to obtain an American passport.
The EFCC also accused Ramirez of illegally receiving 10,000 dollars from one Olukayode Sodimu under the pretext that the funds were facilitation fees with the American immigration services for an American green card.
After Ramirez took his plea, Aigboje requested that he be taken from the custody of EFCC to prison custody.
“There are no bed spaces available in the commission. I apply that the defendant be remanded in prison custody,” she said.
Chukwudi Maduka, the defence counsel, in his submission, requested that Ramirez be kept in the custody of EFCC and not in the custody of the Nigerian Prison Service.
“Ever since my client has been in the custody of the EFCC, we are just seeing this charge for the very first time today,” he said.
“He is already on EFCC bail in Abuja and his International passport has been forfeited as part of his bail conditions.
“We will like to file an application for his bail today.
“We pray that the defendant be remanded in the custody of the EFCC pending the time my Lord hears the bail application.”
Josephine Oyefeso, the judge, however, rejected Maduka’s request and ordered that Ramirez be remanded in prison.
“The proper place for remand is prison custody and I so order,” she held.
“The case is, hereby, adjourned to July 3 for hearing of the defendant’s bail application.”
Chris revealed that his friend boarded a Keke Napep (A Commercial Tricycle) only for him to be abducted by armed men who posed as passengers.
“He entered the keke at about 2pm with one person at the back and in front and they picked someone shortly after. All were armed. They pointed the arms to him and asked him to cooperate, he was told to drop his head and close his eyes like he was asleep. They took his phones from him, after few minutes of driving, they ended up in a remote street and tried to get him into a space bus” narrated Chris_Goth.
His friend tried to resist but was overpowered by his kidnappers. The men of the underworld took him to an uncompleted building with other victims. They physically assaulted and took his phones and other items on him.
An argument would ensue with his kidnappers when they wanted to extort money from him. It was at this moment jumped put of the uncompleted building and ran for his dear life.
The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27 as Public Holiday to mark Eid-el-Fitr. Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government on Thursday in Abuja.

The minister reaffirmed the determination of the Federal Government to protect all lives and property of Nigerians. He warned hoodlums not to test the will of the administration.
The minister said the government has the capability to deploy security agencies to deal with any individual or group that may threaten the corporate existence of the nation, as well as the peaceful co-existence of the people.
He further assured Nigerians of government’s resolve to be just and fair to all. The minister wished Nigerians a peaceful and rewarding celebration.

The Senate Committee Chairman on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Dino Melaye, has disclosed that the Senate is reportedly working on a bill, that will seek to curtail the high house rents paid across the country.
According to him, the ‘Rent Edit’ bill, would protect tenants and landlords and also promised that lawmakers would ensure the passage of the bill before the end of the 8th Senate.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Information at the housing arm of the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, Eno Olotu, in Abuja, on Wednesday.
He said:
“Not everybody can own a house. The Rent Edit Bill will help guide and curb excessive rents in the Federal Capital Territory and the nation at large,”

Thank you for choosing to read this post. It hurts when people spread lies about you and you cannot do anything to defend yourself. But thank God for a platform like this. I would be saying a lot of things; it would be a long read but I promise you would enjoy reading.
I would be stating in clear terms the relationship I had with Aunty Funke. I used ‘had’ and would be talking in past tense because like you know, I am presently not on the Jenifa’s Diary series. And guess what? The news just broke lately, but I have been off the series since May,2016 (last year); it’s been over a year already.
My post would be in two parts; who Aunty Funke was to me (Juliana), and then, who I was to her. These are things only few people know but I am ready to let the world know.
Yes! I will start with her. Why? She’s an amazing person and I can’t wait for you to know how lovely she is on a one-on-one basis. We all have our flaws but we choose rather to celebrate our strengths. Here goes!
Aunty Funke to Juliana!

Aunty Funke met me for the first time at the auditions of Jenifa’s Diary (she did not know me prior to that day). She saw my talent and believed in me. I worked with her for years; she trained me and helped me in becoming a better actress. She would not take anything short of excellence from her cast. I honestly have not seen anyone in Nollywood more hard working than Aunty Funke. And she made it a duty to correct me and coach me on being better.
BENEFACTOR
Aunty Funke helped pay my mum’s hospital bill for a fibroid surgery, two hundred and fifty thousand naira (N250,000), because I had no money at that time. She also gave to the ministry dear to my heart, MINE Teenage Ministry when we were preparing for an event, one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) and my pastor called to appreciate her. So apart from my pay as an actress on the series (which I won’t mention), that’s all I received from her money-wise, asides from change she gave me for transport when leaving set because as at then, I used to jump bus, ‘keke’ and bike to and fro set up until I left the series…lol. But in all, God used her to meet that major need in my life at that time.

I fondly remember the times Aunty Funke would call me to her room while I was staying in her house (during set), and talk to me. She would take her time to advise me and encourage me as regards life in general. One particular day I treasure was the day she came to the room I stayed and told me, in a mother’s tone that I was beautiful and she warned me sternly never to bleach. I smile whenever I remember that. God bless her kind heart!p
CHEERLEADER AND ENCOURAGER
Aunty Funke never ceased to celebrate me. Knowing how excellent she is at what she does (acting), I was shocked, elated and excited all at once the day she told me I was a good actress. She told me I would be great and celebrated. She saw years ago what is happening today. I am thankful for her words.

I was privileged to be the one holding Aunty Funke’s bag while on set. I ‘kept’ the money we spent on day-to-day running and was required to balance account afterwards. I don’t like Mathematics, so that was a lot of work…lol. Money was never unaccounted for in my keep. I ran errands for Aunty Funke and made sure all that was needed was supplied.

On set, on some occasions, when I was not acting, I was fanning and dabbing the faces of other actresses (including extras). So, this is for those that have accused me of being proud.
Please ask those I fanned and dabbed while preparing to go on set later. On some occasions, I also did my own makeup and that of some other cast. All I wanted to do was SERVE; I wanted every set to be a success.

On set, there were different occasions I served cast and crew (plus extras) food and water. At some points, I joined in washing plates when the plates were not enough to go round. And times I was not acting, and I saw the ‘Mamas’ needed help, I joined them in washing plates. They are alive to bear witness.

I hardly forget things I memorised, so I knew the continuity of major characters on the set. Aunty Funke used to ask Costumiers to confirm costumes with me. On some occasions.I had to go to set earlier than others and leave later than others to sort out costumes, including wigs and other accessories. I looked forward to doing it and never once complained

I could not drive while on Jenifa’s Diary set, and I still cannot…lol but I woke up early on different occasions to wash Aunty Funke’s car.
The times I didn’t wash, I dusted the car. She is a neat person, so I made sure the inside of the car and the boot were tidy and clean. For me, it was pleasure serving Aunty Funke.

I lived with Aunty Funke while set was on, so I counted it my duty to clean the house. She lived in a duplex at Chevron at that time, so I cleaned the entire house. Sweeping and moping from room to room. Scrubbing bathroom after bathroom.
I arranged wardrobe after wardrobe, laid one bed after another. You would not know any of these if I am not saying this. I did all this with joy. She was special to me and you serve those you love.

Aunty Funke is neat and very tidy and she does professional drycleaning. But there were times she needed a dress washed urgently and I helped her wash.
Please don’t accuse me of being proud or rude to Aunty Funke again. I SERVED her WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

Some of my fond memories with Aunty Funke are the times I cooked for Aunty Funke. I enjoyed cooking for her. I followed someone who lived with her then (name withheld) to market on different occasions to buy things we used to cook.
Please note, I had a home of my own. I stayed with Aunty Funke only when we were shooting except times she specifically asked me to come over.

I learnt how to massage with Aunty Funke; I learnt on the job…lol. I knew she was usually tired when we got back so it was my pleasure to relieve her; she sometimes slept off while I massaged her.
There was a day we were on location and we did not take the oil. Someone offered oil but as I held it, my spirit was not at peace. So, I bowed my head and prayed over the oil. I did not know Aunty Funke was watching me. When I opened my eyes, she asked what I did and I told her. Her response was “O se oko mi”, translated, “thank you my dear”.
PRAYER PARTNER
There were different times Aunty Funke called me to pray on location, and sometimes at home. There was a time I gave her a Word of Knowledge. I had a dream once, I told her, and it happened the next day. I fasted and prayed with Aunty Funke and her sister. She called me to pray with her at midnight at some points. She knew from the onset that I was a Christian and that I was committed to prayer. There were different times we both prayed and asked God to give us sponsors. So, for those that have accused me of being “holier-than-thou”, that is the real me o! Everybody on every set I have gone, including Jenifa’s Diary, know I am unapologetically sold out to Jesus. I am not ‘deceiving’ anybody. That is my ‘real face’…lol
SCRIPT ADVISER
I had the pleasure of sitting and gisting with Aunty Funke at different points, whether at home or in the car. We would talk about the script. She sometimes had inspirations in the car and she would ask me to write it down so she doesn’t forget, and she would ask my opinion.
I treasure those moments. Interestingly,there was a day we were talking at the house and her husband was there. I talked about loving High School movies and Musicals. I said I wondered why we didn’t have such in Nigeria. Then, we all started talking. JJC Skills even ‘drafted’ me into it already but we were just talking lightly. It is my joy that “INDUSTREET” is a reality today!
Let me stop here! So, with these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince you and not confuse you that you shouldn’t believe everything you read until you hear from the source.
Your question now is, what happened? Hmmm! We had a misunderstanding and I cannot disclose what happened without Aunty Funke’s permission. But if you read all I said in the post, you would gather that we were quite close. And when two people get that close, misunderstandings are bound to occur.
