Yesterday, we brought you details of a Social Media war after a certain guy named Ben brought up the issue of men doing DNA tests on their children just to ascertain if the kids are truly theirs.
The topic of course was met with mixed reactions and this stirred major conversation on Social Media.
Now, a Lady, Precious Pogah shaded Nigerian men yesterday, and asked if these folks who are in support of DNA tests can really afford it. She wrote; “All these men screaming DNA! Hope they can Afford it? They should know it’s Not Malaria Test Oh”
…and someone from no where, representing Nigerian men, decided to fall our hands.. His response reads thus; “Before Marriage, you must do DNA Test Because of Any Disease”

Emeka Ugwuonye, has shared a shocking and sad story of a heartless man who beat his pregnant wife to death in Abuja.
According to him, the attack occurred when the man learned that the pregnancy was going to be another baby girl after she had had 3 daughters for the man.
He wrote:
“The incident occurred in Abuja early yesterday (Tuesday) morning. The woman was 8 months pregnant. She already had 3 daughters for the man. We believe the attack occurred when the man learned that the pregnancy was going to be another baby girl. He got mad because he had expected a baby boy.
Neighbors heard the woman screaming in the early hours of the night, and some sound of a struggle. Apparently, he beat her to death. At daybreak, the man went to the police station and reported that his wife suffered a sudden but natural death.
But the story did not make sense. The police spoke to the neighbors and discovered he was beating the woman. Also the police spoke to their first daughter who told the police that their father beat their mum to death. Apparently, the young girls watched as their father killed their mother. They probably know why – because it is bad to bear a girl instead of a boy.
The police arrested the man for murder and he is in detention. DPA is continuing its investigation into the matter. Our representative is heading back to the police station. We intend to have access to the suspect, to know what additional light he could shed on the incident. Aldo we want to ascertain the conditions of the three girls to ensure they are safely with mother’s relatives.
DPA regrets that the neighbors who heard the screaming did not intervene to rescue the woman. They just listened. And nobody bothered to contact the police. A DPA member who is a neighbor to the couple described the woman as jovial and respectful.
Expect more update please.”

Adey Orla on Facebook, has shared how despite her struggles while growing up, from hawking pepper to support the financial inflow of her home, she’s emerged as the first Black person to bag a PhD in Biomedical Engineering in the University Of Saskatchewan, Canada.
She shared her quite inspiring story on Facebook, which most certainly all ladies should take a cue from. Read below:
As the 5th child of 5, I always had to wait for my turn. I was the last, a girl child and raised by a mother who is farmer and a father who has little, I hawked pepper on the streets of Ibadan as early as age 10 to help my mum. Went to public primary and secondary school in Ibadan. Attended OOU and studied Physics. Because I had a 2.1, it opened the door for me to proceed to Finland for a Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering. During this masters degree, I worked part-time as a cleaner and did this after my Masters as well. Out of determination, I applied to over 100 schools for my PhD and finally got a full 3 year scholarship (later extended to 4 years scholarship) at University of Saskatchewan, Canada to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. While in that PhD program, I worked part-time as a makeup artist, teaching assistant, braided hair and fix weaves to make extra money.
Today I walked the stage as the first black person to bag a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Saskatchewan, Canada!!! I walked this stage for you Mama Africa and for my Motherland Nigeria!!! I walked the stage for all of you black women disrespected and looked down on!!!! I walked for all of you from my ghetto hood “Mokola”, Ibadan. I walked for all OSU students and ex-students that got that look from people who think we are not brilliant!! I walked for all of you Africans in Finland wondering what is next for you!!
Specially, I walked for you my parents. siblings and extended family in fulfillment of your dreams! Specially, I walked the stage for you my late sister Omoleye Olubamiji and my late mentor Ayodele Olatunbosun. Today I walked for my future husband and my unborn children who patiently waited for me to fulfill my dreams so that he can have a wife he will be proud of and they can have a role model to look up to. I walked for all immigrants and all young adults who strived everyday chasing their dreams!!! I walked in celebration of the unfailing love of my first and one truly true love Jesus Christ (in you I walk in you I live and in you I have had and will continue to have my being)!!!
Be bold, be innovative, be different, be you, be everything you want to be but remember to put God first!!! Let no man, upbringing, money, circumstance, colorism, past mistakes, institution, company, partner, background, let nothing tell you you can’t do it. Go smart! Go hard!! Go for Gold!!! Go with God!!! Just Get Going!!!!! #Grad2017 #PhDConvocation #UofS

Dammy Krane is using his recent troubles for quick publicity. The singer has unleashed a new record titled “On Point”.
On Point was produced by talented producer; Kenny Wonder.. and you’d enjoy this one. This is coming after the singer publicly apologized to his family, friends and fans in a new video released on social media.
Nigerian actress, film director and model, Stephanie Linus reacts with powerful statements to allegations that she violated a copyright law over her new movie, ‘Dry’.
An associate of Stephanie Linus, Joy Ndidi was allegedly accused by Daniella Madudu of stealing, making a copy of her story and passed on to stephanie which she used as a script for the movie.
Although, The associate refuted the claims but this time, Stephanie released a statement reacting to the claims.
Read her statements below:
“Character assassination is at once easier and surer than physical assault; and it involves far less risk for the assassin. It leaves him free to commit the same deed over and over again, and may indeed win him the honors of a hero in the country of his victims.” – Alan Barth (1906 – 1979)
On the 19TH of May, 2017, I received a letter from one Rafiu Bello acting on behalf of one Daniella Madudu accusing me of appropriation of an “original literary work” that was allegedly stolen from her by Ms. Joy Ndidi (an allegation that has been roundly refuted), copyright infringement and all manner of impropriety as relates my movie ‘DRY’ and demanding that I credit this Daniella Madudu with ownership of my work, pay the sum of N60,000,000 (SIXTY MILLION NAIRA) and royalties; or face a “campaign of calumny”(which by the way is already afoot) both home and abroad.
Naturally, my initial reaction was to ignore it as something so ludicrous as to be able to find firm footing in the mind of any normal or rightly thinking individual and only routinely passed it onto my lawyers at a later date and thought nothing more of it.
They (my lawyers), as a matter of course responded to it.
That these persons have since gone ahead with their premeditated plan to defame me upon allegations they know to be baseless, spurious and glaringly untrue is no longer news as the media is presently awash with the ‘fruit of their labour’ and ordinarily I would not have dignified it with a response but for the sake of posterity and lest my silence be termed an admission of any wrongdoing whatsoever, I will simply proceed to state the facts here, viz:
That since my undergraduate days at the University of Calabar, I have been very passionate and deeply concerned about Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF), the plight of the girl-child and sexual violence against the female gender.
That in 2006 whilst still on crutches as a result of my ghastly automobile accident from the year before, I volunteered with the Mercy Ships Aberdeen West Africa Fistula Centre (as it then was) in Sierra Leone all out of my own personal savings as this was and will always be a cause very dear to my heart.
That in 2007/08 I visited the Mariam Abacha Women and Children’s Hospital, Sokoto where I personally made donations to the victims of VVF.
That in 2008 I was invited by The United Nations and the Government of Liberia to participate in the anti-rape campaign, Stop Rape and the Liberia Fistula Project.
That through my non-governmental organisation, The Extended Hands Foundation and our numerous partners, over 150 women and young ladies across the country have successfully undergone reconstructive surgery and have gone on to live wholesome fulfilling lives free of the stigmatization and the sheer pain and discomfort that comes with VVF.
That I registered the script for my movie ‘DRY’ with The United States Copyright Office on November 28TH, 2011.
That I registered the script for my movie ‘DRY’ with The Nigerian Copyright Commission on July 27TH, 2012.
That my movie ‘DRY’ was shot in the months of August and September, 2012 in Nigeria.
That the unofficial trailer for ‘DRY’ was released to lend my voice in support of the ‘Child Not Bride’ campaign.
That Ms. Joy Ndidi’s first ever contact with me was in 2013 (DRY was already a finished project at this time) and it was not until June 2013 that she was officially engaged to provide content and ad-placement for my personal blog, ‘The Stephanie Daily’ for all of six (6) months and this she did from the comfort of her home.
That the so called “original literary work” of the Daniella Madudu, I was supposed to have appropriated in my movie has never been registered at The Nigerian Copyright Commission even as we speak.
These are easily verifiable facts that any half-hearted attempt at investigative and responsible journalism would have turned up if indeed uncovering the truth for the benefit of the public was the primary motive behind the malicious publication. It is truly a sorry pass we have come to as society when all it takes to ruin a person’s reputation overnight is the spewing forth of mere accusations just because he or she happens to be in the public eye.I choose to speak out and address this vice that has suddenly become the norm in our society and the acceptable standard of modern day “journalism”. We used to be better than this as a people; my prayer is that we still are.DRY is more than just a movie; it is a righteous cause for voiceless women and young girls who have suffered the most debilitating kind of emotional and physical abuse, and anyone who seeks to denigrate this painful sacrifice with a smear campaign, with the intent to make gain or attract cheap publicity, simply lacks wisdom.I want to take this opportunity to thank all those that have shown tremendous support and spoken up these past few days to end these words the same way it began.“An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does the truth become error because nobody sees it. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained.” Mahatma Gandhi
Human rights lawyer & Facebook group owner, Emeka Ugwuonye, shared a complaint he got from a member of his Facebook group.
According to him, the angry husband alleged that another member of the group has been sending photos of his dick with raunchy messages to his wife.
And it looks like the married woman is not his only victim as some women in the group also complained that they have been receiving similar messages and verbal abuse from the man, Online Reports insinuates.
Facebook user, Victor Ibeh, a Lifestyle columnist has shared a story of how a reckless driver who probably woke from the wrong side of the bed almost got them ‘killed’, whilst they drove on the wet road of Cele Flyover in Lagos.
Victor added that from how traumatic his experience was, the man should be declared a traffic risk in Lagos.
He shared his story as thus:
‘The owner of this vehicle is a traffic risk in Lagos. I was in a bus some minutes ago moving through Cele flyover. This man came and hit us from the back.
It wasn’t a mistake. It was a deliberate act. Some people sitting at the back of the vehicle were even injured. Our driver was in his own lane. It was intense that even me sitting in front thought we would skid over the bridge.
The idiot drove next to our driver and began to issue threats. Our driver responded, and he drove off when he noticed I was trying to capture his image.
Because it was raining I couldn’t do much. So we asked our driver to follow him so we can at least get his vehicle plate number. He ran and was halted by a mild traffic. We got up to him and our driver alighted. The argument that ensued resulted in a fight.
People separated them while I got these details.
I don’t understand how someone would intentionally want to kill us this early morning. Who did we offend? The person on the right side, whose inner wear is showing is the idiot.’
Professional Disk Jockey and TV reality star, Bally Isaiah Balat took to his Snap chat some hours ago to share photos of him alongside the Nigerian raggae dancehall singer, Patoranking in a studio.
Although, the BBN show made him take a break from the music scenee but it seems he is putting his hands back into music, and this time we should expect the best from him.
We look forward to seeing the “BallyPato fire!!” soon!.
The domestic abuse trial against Lanre Gentry, the husband of Mercy Aigbe, before an Ikeja chief magistrate court in Lagos has been adjourned because the actress showed up very late.
According to The Nation, the actress was expected to submit her medical report to the court, but when the court clerk called the case at around 11.05 am yesterday, the couple were nowhere to be found.
The matter again was called up at 11.25 am, and only Lanre Gentry was present with his counsel, and they were accompanied to the chamber of Folakemi Davies-Abegunde, the chief magistrate.
According to news reports, Gentry and his counsel left the court premises 20 minutes later. Not long after, Aigbe arrived the court with her counsel Uche Ani. The duo proceeded to the magistrate’s chamber, where they were duly informed that the case has been adjourned till June 28.
This surprising turn comes after the actress reportedly filed a restraining order against Lanre Gentry, asking that he should not come within a mile radius of her and their two children.
Recall that in her interview with Broadway Africa, the actress said she was still afraid of Lanre Gentry and wants him to assure her that he would never attack her again.
She said:
“I am fighting for my life because if I die there would be no image to protect. I just want him to sign an undertaking that nothing would happen to me because a man who is capable of sending thugs to the house is capable of anything. Someone who can set me up and lie that I have mental illness can do anything. He should sign the undertaking and we should go our different ways. If not, I would leave the case to the appropriate agency and the law would take its full course.”
Yesterday’s hearing was her opportunity to show reason why the court would honour her request for a restraining order, but the actress was late.
Hopefully, she won’t be late on June 28, the date of the next hearing.

After seeking deliverance from prophet T.B Joshua, Controversial Penuel Mnguni of End Times Disciples Ministries a.k.a the ‘snake pastor’ has made a U-turn since his appearance on Emmanuel TV on Sunday.
Mnguni visited TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of all Nations in Nigeria on Sunday, and explained why he had fed his congregants live snakes.
Mnguni, who described himself as an “overseer” of his church, said he had misinterpreted the Bible, and did what he thought was scriptural at the time.
It was after watching TB Joshua on TV that he realised what he was doing was wrong. He said he went to Nigeria to seek deliverance from the prophet.
Now he has come out saying he had to say all of that because he feared for his safety in Nigeria.
He told Daily Sun he did not know he would be “forced” to speak in front of people. Mnguni claimed he was invited to the church, and only went there for “worship” and not deliverance, but was shocked when on arrival, “those people” took his passport and ID and threatened not to give them back unless he did whatever they wanted.
“It was as if everything was planned before I even got there. If you listen to the video, I am not the one saying those words. There is a woman next to me who is forcefully telling me what to say,” Daily Sun quoted him as saying.
While watching and listening to the video, a woman’s voice can be heard telling the pastor what to say in front of the congregation..
FOX TV’s Empire actress, Gabourey Sidibe’s transformation has left many in awe but she says she gets annoyed when people congratulate her over her weight loss.
She tells Refinery29:
It just annoys me because I’m just like, don’t congratulate me on that,” s. “If you’re going to congratulate me on my weight loss, also congratulate me every time I pee. Congratulate me every time I’m burping. Because my body actually has nothing to do with you, and I don’t really need your support for it.”
“My body will always be my body and always had been, and you have nothing to do with it and you’re kind of a stranger. But the way it works is that this is just my body. In the same way that this is just my face, this is just mine.”

The owners of brothels under the aegis of The National Association of Brothel Owners, NABO, Imo State chapter, has raised a task force to stop non-registered members from operating.
They also revealed that the association has perfected plans to sanitise prostitution, which it said was the oldest profession known to the human race.
NABO state Chairman, Dr. Stanley Nwachukwu, stated that members who engaged in child trafficking in the brothels would be reported to the police.
He added that the task force would fish out brothels where hard drugs were being sold.
He also stated that the association had aided in curbing cases of rape and sexual abuse among children, which he said would have been more rampant without the operation of brothels in the state.
He said:
“I will ensure that adequate fines are paid by such brothel owners, whose inmates engage in fisticuffs. I urge every brothel owner to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding against coming into brothels with arms and ammunition,”
“Rape would have been happening even in churches if brothels were not in existence in the state. There are men whose libido compels them to have sexual intercourse regularly to the point that they cannot pass a night without sleeping with a woman,” Nwachukwu stated.

A police dog has been sacked from his job because it is just too friendly to be in the force.
cd rather than standing to attention and looking menacing.
The police dog-in-training failed to make the final cut for Queensland Police Service in Australia because of his overly-sociable temperament.
But luckily, he was offered a new role welcoming visitors to Brisbane’s Government House as Governor Paul de Jersey’s official Vice-Regal Dog.
According to Daily Mirror, spokesman for Queensland Government House said:
“Gavel arrived at Government House in April last year as a six-week-old puppy.
“It was intended that he would undergo a training and socialisation programme preparing to become a Queensland Police Service Dog.
“But like many aspiring QPS Dogs, Gavel did not display the necessary aptitude for a life on the front line.
“Not all dogs display this, and Gavel proved himself to be quite sociable. He is better suited to life as a ceremonial dog and will instead now spend his working days at Fernberg, where he has become a much-loved part of Government House life.”
Gavel was brought to the prestigious 40-acre Fernberg residence in Paddington, Brisbane as part of the 16-month dog sqaud training and socialisation programme.
He was one of 40 budding police hounds sent to foster homes across Queensland but was the only one to not be fostered by a QPS officer.
But despite having a prestigious family bloodline which saw him related to five current working QPS dogs, playful Gavel didn’t make the cut and was let go by the force.
Dammy Krane has apologized to his Family, Fans and Friends over his Miami Arrest.
Recall the singer was arrested few days over grand theft & credit card fraud. He was released on bail yesterday, and he has finally had the chance to do a video to address the whole theft saga.

“First of all I want to thank God and I want to use this medium to apologise to my family, my team and my fans,” said Dammy Krane at the beginning of the clip.

Ex-husband to a mother of one got her shocked when she discovered that he was dating her 31-year-old daughter who also has a son.
The woman whose identity remain undisclosed shared on Mumsnet parenting website that when she got married to her ex-husband, her daughter was 11 years old and used to call him “dad.”
She wrote:
“He became her stepfather, DD [darling daughter] changed her name to have same surname as us and has called him dad for 20 years. (Not legally adopted)”
She included that her daughter has a son of her own who has long considered the ex-husband his grandfather.
The woman then sought advice from the online forum’s users as to what she should do, adding that she has been unable to speak to both her daughter and ex-husband.
Although, some wondered if the story was real and suggested that it was a little farfetched.
The woman’s ex-husband and daughter would be unable to legally get married because of their previous father-daughter relationship according to UK’s law.

In some remote areas in Mozambique, if you’ve got a bald head, then there are possibilities that you’d be used for rituals.
This superstitious belief claims that men who are bald, have gold in their head.
Authorities in Mozambique say five bald men have been killed in central Mozambique, two in May in Milange district, close to the border with Malawi, while three were killed this month in Morrumbala district in the country.
According to the police, two young people have so far been arrested over the killings. BBC reports that after the killings, the heads are taken to a witch doctor who will use magical powers to extract the gold and make them rich.
Mozambique police spokesman Inacio Dina confirmed the killing of men with bald saying a team had been sent to the remote region to investigate the murders: ‘Our preliminary conclusion indicates that the phenomenon is due to cultural beliefs.
“We are currently investigating the case to find out more and to understand the dimension of the problem. ‘The phenomenon can lead bald people to be pursued and killed. This is a serious homicide crime. Our current interest is to catch and hold responsible all those involved,” he said.
