Olusegun Obasanjo, the Former President of Nigeria, on Sunday, appealed to Nigerian youths to desist from cursing and wishing their past leaders, including him dead.
He disclosed that the youths still need their mentoring and advise. The 80-year-old former head of fstate made the appeal when he spoke during the Youth Governance Dialogue organized by the Youth Development Centre arm of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library(OOPL), Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
“Don’t wish us dead, don’t wish us to disappear because you will need us. You need us mentors and advisers to mentor and prepare you for the future. You need our experience and assistance of some of us to guide you through life.
You should not lose hope, you should not feel frustrated. Whenever I go, they always ask me what is my fear about Nigeria and Africa. And I said my greatest fear is youth anger, frustrations and youth explosion which have no bound.
We have the Boko haram in the north, the MASSOB and IPOB in the South East, the militants in the Niger Delta and the Oodua Peoples Congress in the Southwest. All of these are expression of anger and frustrations.
We have what it takes to be great as a nation and we can’t transform this country without the youths. My greatest hope in this country is also the youth. You the youth should work to help yourselves. You must be ready to pay the price for what you stand for,”he said.

Pascal Chukwuemeka Nnorom, a staff of Union Bank of Nigeria, has been killed by one Joseph Udoh.
According to The Sun, the deceased and his wife of 2 years, Priscilla, were on their way to attending a wedding ceremony of Pascal’s colleague in Elelewon area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, May 13, 2017, when the sad incident occured.
Pascal’s journey to his untimely grave began when a Toyota Camry car, driven by one Joseph Udoh, from Anang in Akwa Ibom State, hit his Honda CRV SUV in Oil Mill area of the city, near the Eleme bridge.
The deceased, who hailed from Eziudo Mbaise, Imo State, was said to have alighted from his vehicle and walked over to meet the driver of the Camry. He placed his hand on the door of the Camry, but Udoh allegedly refused to alight from his own car for them to resolve the matter.
Rather, he quickly wound up the glass, trapping Pascal’s hand and then sped off. In a chat with Sun, grieving Priscilla said: “He dragged him several poles before he stopped.”
In the process of draging the victim, his body hit the hard pavement severally. His spinal cord and legs were broken and he became immediately unconscious and later died.
A mob prevent Udoh from escaping. They tortured him and were about to give him jungle justice before he was rescued by policemen. Priscilla described the husband as her best friend. “He was everything to me,” she added, sobbing profusely. .
According to the widow, one of the most painful aspects of the death was that her marriage to Pascal was yet to produce a child before his death. “When the mob was beating Udoh, he told them he was ready to die, as far as he had done what he wanted to do,” Priscilla said.
It was gathered that soon after her husband was confirmed dead, Priscilla fainted and had to be revived. Meanwhile, she has appealed to the government and the security agencies to bring her husband’s killer to book. “I want justice,” she said, wailing.
I wonder what the psychological state of Onyekachi would be after seeing this response from Daddy Freeze on his comment – he had recently, sent in a tweet on his opinions about using condoms.
Onyekachi says using condoms is a sign that one is sleeping with whom he/she is not supposed to sleep with – well, Daddy Freeze, has some words of wisdom for him… hope he takes it well.
Daddy Freeze:
Making statements like these, is a sign that a ‘smartphone’ is in the hands of a ‘not so smart’ person.

What a vacuous and uninformed tweet, probably borne out of listening to too many yahoo boy pastors anointed with engine oil.

What about couples on family planning? Or a couple where the man survived Ebola but it remains in his semen for up to 8months? Have you heard that some women are allergic to their legally married husband’s semen? Do you know other birth control methods are not tolerated by many wives? Are such couples going to feel guilty because a moron was gifted a smartphone and 10mb free data? Continue…

How about a man having sex with a street prostitute without using a condom, is that a sign that he is having sex with a person he is, ‘supposed to be having sex with’?

Please ignore pedestrian statements made by clowns like these, beleaguered by the strangulating effect of a proletariat mindset, as they only speak out of their overwhelming cretinous bigotry. ~FRZ

Mark Melton and Esther Lubo, the couple whose wedding ceremony invitation card went viral on social media days ago, because of its content, tied the knot yesterday, May 27 in Gombe State.
The wedding invitation card was so hilarious that up till now, it still makes us chuckle when we read it.
It’s blissful now that the couple have tied the knots as planned. Esther, the bride, is such a beauty though…. Continue with their photos below:
So its apparent that #BBNaija’s Bisola and Debbie-Rise have continued to maintain their lovely relationship outside of the Big Brother house, and it’s really overwhelming.
The duo, this past Saturday, joined other housemates for the Cross River @ 50 celebration headlined by ex-housemate, Black Bassey.
While her friends chose simple, less colourful casual outfits for the festival, Debbie-Rise donned a yellow floor-length frock with a dramatic flair which some trolls think is badly sewn. Others think it is out-of-place in the picture and definitely not the dress for the event.
This though, won’t be the first time people will give in their personal opinions about the singer‘s outfit, good thing this time is Bisola refused to sit back and watch her friend get dragged.
She wrote:
“Haba you guys chill. Her dress is beautiful. Maybe this picture didn’t do it justice,”
Femi Taiwo, who was removed on May 15, was also ordered out of his official quarters within 24 hours of receiving the letter.
Media reports suggested Mr. Taiwo’s removal came after his actions during an anointing service on May 14 angered the Lagos State governor’s wife, Bolanle Ambode, who was in attendance.
The reports said Mrs. Ambode waited endlessly as she joined a queue to be anointed without any preference accorded her; and that she left the church in anger after been anointed.
But a series of letters and correspondences reviewed by PREMIUM TIMES showed that Mr. Taiwo’s problems with the church predated the event of May 14.
“The point is that he (Mr. Taiwo) disregarded rules to go and meet the First Lady without authorisation, out of selfish interest,” a source at the church told PREMIUM TIMES.
In late February this year, Mr. Taiwo had paid an ‘authorised visit’ to Mrs. Ambode without the knowledge of the church’s Governing Council; but he allegedly lied to the governor’s wife that he was sent by the Council.
At the meeting, Mr. Taiwo, those familiar with the matter said, schooled the First Lady on why he should be the “alpha and omega” on anything spiritual concerning Governor Ambode and his family.
He also reportedly cited the church’s constitution repeatedly to convince the First Lady to always respect his office and powers.
“He told the First Lady that the small church inside the State House should be reporting to him. And that he would withdraw some of the staff if his demands were not granted, almost threatening the First Lady,” one official said.
Mrs. Ambode, one of our sources said, was shocked by the clergyman’s attitude, and she promptly contacted the church’s Governing Council to complain.
The Council “was shocked that Mr. Taiwo, a supposed man of God, could lie and misrepresent himself to the First Lady, and immediately queried the clergyman, demanding explanation.”
“It came to the notice of the Governing Council of Chapel of Christ the Light that you requested and held a meeting with Her Excellency on 27th February, 2017, claiming that the Governing Council mandated you to do so,” read the query signed by ‘Gbenga Solomon, a Reverend Canon and the Governing Council Chairman.
“Please, note that your action was at your behest and not the Governing Council. We learnt that you went with a copy of the constitution, explaining the content to her.
“Kindly recall that an emergency meeting was summoned on Wednesday, 1st March 2017, where you claimed that you never mentioned to Her Excellency that Governing Council mandated you. In order not to put the Governing Council in disrepute, respond in writing your position on same.”
Following the Council’s query to him, Mr. Taiwo wrote a letter of apology, dated March 10, and addressed to Mrs. Ambode stating that the purpose of his visit was not to undermine the First Lady or her office.
“I write to tender a sincere apology to you on the matter surrounding our visit to Your Excellency recently,” the chaplain wrote.
“In honesty, I have high regard for you and see you as mother to all. Your effort in building the Chapel and the State in general is highly appreciated and we pray God to continue to strengthen you the more.
“I am very sorry for any embarrassment our visit might have caused you and I plead you find a place in your heart to forgive.”
Although Mr. Taiwo apologized to Mrs. Ambode concerning the February 14 incident, he remained consistently hostile and disrespectful of the First Lady, culminating in the May 14 incident that may have quickened his removal, one of our sources said.
“The truth is that as a continuation of his hostility towards the woman, he was openly disrespectful to the First Lady at the annointing service. Yet, the First Lady waited through it and never left in anger.”
Another official said the pastor “remained perpectually angry because “another person was made a Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Matters and assumed wrongly that as the chaplain, it was his duty to play such roles and to act as the spiritual father to the First Family.”
“He was consistently pestering the First Lady with a litany of requests, and was repeatedly advised by the Governing Council. But he does not appear to have any respect for constituted authorities as advised by the Bible.”
The source added that the Governing Council was also crossed with the pastor for allegedly converting the church’s bus to his personal use.
The chaplain failed to make amends, an official said.
Repeated telephone calls to Mr. Taiwo on Saturday night were not answered.
But The Punch, which first reported the matter, quoted the former chaplain as saying “I have tried as a pastor to live above board. It will not be right engaging the church or the government on the pages of a newspaper.”
An email to Ayo Oyadotun, the new chaplain at the church, was not replied either.
Contacted, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, declined to comment on the pastor’s removal, saying, “We don’t want to engage anyone on this matter.”
But Mr. Ayorinde had told The Punch that “the former chaplain was queried a number of times in the past for conduct unbecoming of his office.
“The culmination of various indiscretions led to the Governing Council of the church issuing yet another query that led to his being relieved of his post.
“This has got nothing to do with the First Lady. The chaplain is looking for an excuse to cover his insouciance. It’s nothing but cheap blackmail.”
Kidnappers of six pupils of Igbonla Model College, Epe, Lagos State, have contacted some parents of the victims, demanding N1bn ransom to release them.
Sunday Punch learnt that the parents were contacted on Saturday and allowed to briefly speak with their children. While two of them were asked to pay N400m each, another two were told to raise N100m per child.
They were reportedly told to meet with the school authorities and the state government to raise the money.
However, details of ransoms demanded from the remaining parents had yet to be ascertained by our correspondent as of the time of filing this report.
The gunmen had gained entry into the school premises at about 6am on Thursday through the creek at the back of the college and headed for the boys’ hostel after breaking the school fence.
They broke the hostel doors, seized 10 senior secondary school pupils and led them to the shore where their boat was parked.
After profiling their family backgrounds, four pupils were released, while the assailants whisked away the remaining six pupils identified as Peter Jonah, Isiaq Rahmon, Adebayo George, Judah Agbausi, Pelumi Philips and Farouq Yusuf.
It was reported that the gunmen had written the school authorities three days before the incident, informing them of the attack.
They made good their threat in the dawn after policemen and soldiers, who repelled an attack around 8pm on Wednesday, left the school.
In the wake of the abduction, parents and guardians thronged the college to pick their children and wards, blaming the incident on the poor security in the school.
Some parents of the abducted schoolchildren, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said the kidnappers called between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday.
A parent said, “They allowed me to speak with my son. I asked him if he was fine and he said yes. They asked me to meet with the school authorities to raise N400m for my child to be released.”
Another parent of one of the pupils said they begged the kidnappers that they had only menial jobs when they demanded the same amount.
“I said N400m was much, but one of them told me not to worry myself. He said I should meet with the school authorities and the government. I was also allowed to speak with my child. I spoke with two other parents and they said they were asked to pay N100m each,” the parent said.
When contacted on the telephone, the school Vice Principal, Academic, who did not disclose his name, said, “I’m sorry. I cannot volunteer information for you. I’m not permitted to speak to you. Thank you.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the police had yet to be informed about the ransoms, adding that investigations were ongoing.
Meanwhile, a resident of Epe, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said security had also been beefed up around the college, following a clash between the security agents and the suspects.
He explained that the clash forced some residents of Ode village, a riverine community in Ogun State which shares border with Epe, to desert the area.
The resident added, “I have been to the school twice today (Saturday) and I saw many security men at the roundabout leading to the school. At the school gate, there were armed policemen and soldiers. I also saw some members of vigilance group around the school premises.”
The family of late Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, through the burial committee have refuted the reports that the she died of poisoning.
A statement released by the committee reveals that the reports of the deceased dying as a cause of poisoning is a total fallacy.
Read their report below:
The attention of the Burial Committee of Late Moji Olaiya has been drawn to the rumour spreading around that the autopsy carried out on the deceased stated that the late thespian died of poison. It is a total fallacy.
The family through this committee wish to vehemently state as follows:
i. Late Moji Olaiya DID NOT die of poison and the rumour mongers should provide the autopsy report they are quoting from.
ii. The younger brother of the deceased Femi Olaiya who travelled from UK to Canada and top Nigerian promoter in Canada Mr Yinka Farinde monitored and recieved the details of the autopsy and nothing of poison is in the original autopsy documents with the family.
iii. Whoever is spreading the rumours is evil and have no respect for the dead. Karma like kinetic energy will locate and find such detractors, using the vulnerability and anonymousity of social media as a channel to perpetrate their motive.
iv. That we know BREAKING NEWS doesnt wait for no one but it makes more sense for the media and blogger to verify vividly the source of a news item and have documetary evidence or fact in sight before going to press.
v. The family finds the rumour disturbing and see it as a deliberate attempt to frustrate the befitting burial they are putting in place for their beloved one.
vi. The accused women were of help to the deceased in terms of accommodation and so on during her lifetime in the same Canada and one of them has been taking care of the 2-months old child the deceased left behind as we speak. Any envious intentions against their persons should not degenerate to the level of spreading falsehood such as murder against. It is bizarre and appalling.
vii. The committee humbly again ask for total respect for the dead, family and women whose pictures had gone viral. Thank you for usual understanding and co-operation in this regards.

A 64-year-old man, Nasiru Akinlosotu, a former medicine store operator narrowly escaped death after he was poisoned by his 14-year-old housemaid.
The housemaid, mary Akinnifesi was angry at her boss for scolding her a night before that fateful day she tried to kill him.
The next day, mary was asked by her madam, while leaving for work, to prepare beans for dinner and serve her husband. The wife, Sikirat, is a primary school teacher who owns a shop where she goes to each day after school. Because of that, she returns home late and Mary mostly handles dinner.
Mary did serve her boss dinner, but she mixed the food with rat poison. As fate will have it, as Akinsolotu lifted the spoon with food in it to eat, he noticed an unusual smell and asked Mary what she put in it. She said it was only spices that were added but as soon as Akinsolotu put the food in his mouth he spat it out.
He raised an alarm and neighbors joined him to interrogate the girl and she allegedly confessed to adding rat poison to the food. She had lived with the couple for two years and had never displayed such behavior.
Speaking to Vanguard, Akinsolotu narrated the incident and described his survival as an act of God.
He said:
“I had even put a spoon of the beans in my mouth and about to swallow it when I discovered offensive odour and unpleasant taste from the food. I immediately vomited the beans and called Mary to ask why the beans was smelling in such a manner and the taste was awful but she claimed she added spice”.
He said her explanation was not convincing so he raised the alarm and invited neighbours.
“It was in the course of interrogation by neighbours that the housemaid confessed that she crushed the medicine meant for rat that was bought few days ago by my wife and poured it into my own share of the food. She later stated that she decided to add the poison into my food in retaliation for the correction which I made when she committed an offense in the house. After the confession, I contacted my wife by phone and narrated the incident to her. Upon her arrival in the house, she decided to report the matter at Yaba Divisional Police Station in Ondo town for further investigation into the matter”.
Akinsolotu said he and his family have decided to drop the charges against Mary because she is a relative and they only reported to the police so people can be aware of the activities of some maids.
“Since God has delivered me from death, why should I fight again? I have left everything to God”.
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh‘s fans are not ready to let things go easily, they’re ready to drag Olakunle Churchill and alleged mistress Rosaline Meurer till their last breath.
Today, the fans stormed in a post the philanthropist made about his son, King Andre, to remind him one more time that his alleged affair with actress, Meurer, was the reason his marriage to Dikeh failed.
Some gave unsolicited advice, asking the philanthropist to financially settle Rosaline Meurer and make peace with his wife.
Remember that this allegation of extramarital affair was foisted on Olakunle Churchill by his estranged wife Tonto Dikeh – in her interview with MediaRoom Hub, the mum of one revealed that she has photos of her husband with Meurer, that their affair which took Churchill’s attention from his family, added to the failure of their union.
But Churchill and Meurer both denied the allegations. Today, Churchill took his time to clap back at trolls, asking them to ignore social media stories. Meurer herself said she doesn’t need to be paid off by the philanthropist. “I am contented,” she’s quoted as saying.

“For your official information, yes, I have been engaged for 15-months, and in those 15-months that I’ve been engaged, I have been dating my sweetheart for 16-months. So, do the Maths: we’ve been dating for 16-months and out of those 16-months we’ve been engaged for 15months, so please leave me to be doing my dating, because there are some people who have been dating for 5-years, while some have been dating for 13-months and they will still marry after those 13-months,” she said.
She went ahead to warn critics to quit pressurizing her to get married because she is still in the learning process of marital issues.
“Right now, nobody should tell me nonsense, because right now I’m still dating my partner. I don’t have to copy the trend in the society, there are lots of things I still need to learn in the society; when it is time to marry I will marry, I don’t have to get engaged and marry immediately”, she retorted.

The house, located at Debuako in the Oforikrom Constituenc of the Ashanti Region was seriously on fire, but no casualties was recorded. The fire destroyed several properties though.
According to Pulse Ghana, the boyfriend, Kofi Adusei said he had ceased taking care of Priscilla, who is pregnant due to her bad attitude and lack of respect towards him.
He said Priscilla visited him on the night of the incident but they had a misunderstanding so he decided not to spend the night in the same room with her.
According to him, he left the room and went to sleep in another where a second girlfriend was waiting for him.
‘While relaxing in the other room, I perceived smoke and so I thought she had taken some of my clothing out to burn them. I really wasn’t bothered, but later I heard shouts and calls that my room is on fire, we rushed to see the room in flames with Priscilla nowhere to be found,’ he said.

Recall that Davido’s Nigerian based babymama, Sophia Momodu, was criticized by a troll few days ago after showing off spending time with the singer and their daughter after they went out for an Ice cream treat.
Apparently, ‘Hoes’ is plural and means one than one person – Sophia also caught the shade thrown at Davido’s new Ghanaian fling and responded.

I came back home from workout and met my mum with our fresh fish customer crying I panicked and asked them what happened and my mum told me that the lady’s daughter is pregnant. Hmmmm. I gave the lady some time to put herself together and asked her what happened.
She said her 17 year old daughter is pregnant for a man of about 25 years old she got angry and sent the girl out of her house because she’s poor and has nothing and no one to help her , in her words ” the day i no sell fish we no dey see food chop even the man wey give her belle sef one day him no even bring groundnut make she chop, naim make me pursue her for house I no fit take care of her and the pickin, na just this morning somebody bring her come house dey beg me I no know wetin I go do” I asked her if she has registered the girl for antenatal and her response was ” we no get money to chop talk of to go hospital”
