Tunji Balogun popularly known as TeeBillz has revealed that he has one way, or the other saved a lot of people from committing suicide in recent weeks.
Recall, Tunji attempted to take his own life during his marital crisis with Tiwa Savage last year April, by jumping into the Lagoon around the Lekki Area of Lagos, but was saved by his friend, Banky W.
Tunji in a new interview has revealed that following that experience, God has been using him to rescue many people attempting to take their own life.
Speaking to Punch, TeeBillz, who had been going through rehabilitation, said that God deliberately made him experience those challenges for him to become a better man and live out his purpose in life.
According to him, without being pushed to the limits by those personal and marital hurdles, he never would have become the man he is today.
He said,
“The way I handle things now is completely different from how I acted in the past. I do better now because I know better. If I had gone through the experience before now, it probably wouldn’t make sense to me until I go through some challenging situations. But I thank God that I have been able to overcome all those through the guidance of my coach.
“I only recently understand what it means to have a purpose in life. I have saved many people from committing suicide even though I don’t come out to say it. I was suicidal myself but God preserved me so I could also save others. I just realised that He kept me to touch the lives of others. People surely have their opinion about me and the entire issue, but God sees my heart and knows how much of a new man I am.
“I am like Job in the Bible, God made me pass through all these challenges to make me a better person. I am only human, just like everyone else, so I am not immune to committing mistakes. My experience can be likened to a battle between evil and good. I am happy God redeemed me and pushed me on the side of good.
“I am not being religious, I am just grateful to Him for giving me a renewed mindset. This is one of the biggest things coaching has done to me.”
Asked if those he called friends stood by him during his moment of trial, the father of one did not waste time in giving his response: “God is the only friend I have.”
When probed further on whether he and Savage had settled their differences and what their relationship looks like these days, TeeBillz declined making any categorical statement, maintaining that “God is the only friend I have. He knows and has the best for me in His vineyard.”
The showbiz promoter, who credits his transformation to the tireless support of his life coach, Mr. Lanre Olusola, said that he is already assisting colleagues in the entertainment industry passing through depressing situations to deal with them.
He said, “I am already helping a couple of colleagues in the industry that require the type of coaching I have been through. I am open to working with others needing some sort of motivation and inspiration. Celebrities are humans too, our lives are out there for people to see but that does not mean we cannot make mistakes. The most important thing, however, is for one to surmount the challenge and triumph. I am happy with my life now.”

A Young Lady, Identified as Patience Akpan who is said to be in her late 20’s committed suicide.. and her reasons for this is unknown.
The sad incident happened in the Ajuwon Area of Lagos State on Wednesday, May, 17 at Bada Hospital, Bale road.
Reports gathered says that Patience left her father’s place on Wednesday afternoon before she was seen in another street within the area in pains, with a bottle of sniper still in her hands.
Her dad is said to be a driver who works with a bank on Ajuwon/Akute road.
According reports by LIB, on the day of her suicide, Patience was seen on Oni Street around Ajuwon, on the floor and in pains before she was rushed to the hospital where she later died.
She had lived in the area with her parents about 12 years ago but when her parents separated, she left with her mum, only to come back that Tuesday and committed suicide the next day.
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), UNAAB’s chapter, held a party earlier this week at the SSANU complex following the suspension of the University’s embattled VC Prof. Oluwole Bamidele Oyewole.
As at the early hours of Tuesday, 15th of May, 2017, the SSANU complex in the school, was an open ground and motion ground had been occupied by both SSANU and NASU to publicly celebrate the suspension of the Prof. Oyewole, who they’ve constantly been having issues and have held series of protest against him.
DJ was seen playing music at the school’s motion ground for NASU, which had earlier been forbidden in the school since 2012. The NASU members were putting on a Wine polo shirt.
A live band was also at SSANU complex open ground entertaining SSANU who were all putting on different gorgeous attires.
The school’s VC started having troubles with SSANU and NASU last year when he suspended principal members of the Staff Union and had refused to reinstate them, before the Union filed a complaint against the VC and one of Funaab’s Pro Chancellors for corruption related charges.
This also led to a series of protest held by SSANU and NASU against the VC and had crippled academic activities in the school, before the VC was finally forced to reinstate the suspended principal members of the Staff Union.
Banners conveying discrediting comments were put on display as members of the association celebrated the Vice Chancellor’s suspension – according to insiders in the school, the association fried “bean cake” for the V.C, an act said to be done when someone dies, most especially in Yorubaland.

The burial of Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, earlier scheduled for 4 pm today (Friday, May 19, 2017) in Canada, was aborted at the last minute by Ekiti state government.
The remains of the 42 year old mother of two daughters who died of cardiac arrest following childbirth complications on Thursday, May 18, in Canada, will now be ferried to Nigeria for burial.
Insiders at the Magodo home of the actress (in Kosofe local council area of Lagos) revealed that the government of Ekiti volunteered to bankroll the shipment of the corpse to Nigeria.
Earlier, the family and her colleagues had agreed that Moji Olaiya should be buried in Canada as Islam enjoins (with deceased buried not later than the second day after death) at 4 pm today.
But the plans changed with the intervention of Ekiti state (where the actress is from).
Her eldest daughter, Adunola, had insisted that her mother’s corpse should be brought back to Nigeria. But she was persuaded to allow the Canada funeral today.
Moji Olaiya’s Abuja based Alhaji husband and father of her two month old baby, who arrived Lagos yesterday, also acceded to the Thursday burial.
But with Ekiti state intervention, all will await the corpse which will land here by the weekend…
The Yoruba Actress, who delivered a baby girl in March, died in a Canada Hospital from possible complications from her child birth.

Hallelujah!!! dear people of nairaland join me thanks my God 4 me.i finished sec. sch. in the year 2012.That was the first time i tried out Jamb examination, then it was a paper base test[with fresh brain, out from the secondary school,as usual i was expected to pass the examination].But when the result came out it was a misery one.
As i, score a total marks of 84 with chemistry missing[it come be like say them come dey follow me from my village] grin. but i didn’t lose hope! as i proceed to studies OND in computer Engineering and Advance Diploma in Software Engineeering @Lagos.[but as expected my mama used the jamb result to torment my life any time i bleep up or anytime i mention something about university degree.]
To cut the long story short! i decided to try out this year jamb examination, but to be sincere! i was so afraid as i have been out of touch with CHEMISTRY,PHYSICS more especially MATHEMATICS so how am i going to pass this examination?.
I sold my precious phone[as i didn’t have money] just to purchased the jamb pin @ the officially closing day of the registration. Fast forward! i was given monday 15 of may as my examination day.Money to get to the examination centre was another wahala but miraculously the money came,i was checked,got into the examination hall ushered to my exam’s system and instruction was given for all the examiners to logged in.I logged in! my time Began to ticked, my heart too began to Beat faster like a Yoruba talking drum.
Where will i start??[That was the question i ask myself cos by this time i didn’t know anythings in PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS and CHEMISTRY as English was my only hope]. And the security was so tight! cctv cameras everywhere at the corners of the hall.
Fast forward i began to tick my answers on english,i spent like 1hr 30mins to answer questions mainly on English and i, used the remaining 30mins to ticks answers RANDOMLY on CHEMISTRY,PHYSICS and MATHS grin grin[i ticks some answers A,some B some C some D and i will begins ticking from D,C,B,A again all, ignorantly].
MY time remaining 3mins to go i pressed S,i said a short prayer of helps from above before pressing another S which means i have submitted my exam,but was not happy at all.
Inside a Bus on my way back home! i overheard a guy said to his friend on phone if his result is not favourable he knew a man who can upgrade his result with a sum of #30,000.I was tempted to make enquiring about this said man. But when i remember that i,didn’t have any penny i just kept quiet and said the following prayers.
“Lord Jesus if someone can take a bribe to upgrade someone’s result.Lord please take all the Glorys and upgrade my result- Amen”.

There are reports that the lady fingered for allegedly crashing Actress, Mercy Aigbe’s marriage, Opemititi has taken a drastic action against the Blogger who broke the news, Linda Ikeji and Mercy Aigbe.
In a letter by Afolabi Fashanu & co. on behalf of their client, Miss Opemititi Ajayi, Opemititi has sued Both Mercy Aigbe and Linda Ikeji over the alleged frivolous and malicious statements altered and published respectively by the duo.
Recall that in an interview with Broadway tv, Mercy Aigbe was quoted to have claimed her husband slept with Miss Opemititi, a statement which is unsubstantiated and allegedly fabricated.

Aggrieved husband of the young lady who died during childbirth at a Lagos specialist hospital has narrated what transpired.
Chika, the husband of Chisom Anekwe, the young lady who died in strange circumstances during the birth of her 3rd child (who also died) at Magodo Specialist Hospital located in the Shangisha area of Lagos State, has narrated the circumstances that led to her death.
The devastated husband who spoke to Chioma Okafor, a journalist with a Cool FM, a private radio station in the state, explained how his wife, a mother of two died due to the negligence and the professional incompetence of the doctors on duty at the hospital.
In the audio interview, Chika described how the hospital deceived him while pretending to treat his wife who was in labour only for him to realize too late that they did not have the capacity of taking care of her.
In the interview, he said:
“Two weeks ago, precisely April 30th, 2017, Chisom died under questionable circumstances at Magodo Specialist Hospital while trying to birth her third child.Chisom was admitted in the hospital four days before she got into labour.
She already had two daughters birthed in the same hospital and was there to birth her third child, a son.
While at the hospital, no one attended to her when she needed the help to be delivered of the long awaited baby. She was left for hours in labour.
This happened until I created a scene which eventually caused the doctors to go to her ward and on inspection, they found out that the baby had struggled and died.
At this point, I requested for a CS which I paid for and even signed the consent form presented by the hospital.
I was then tricked out of the room to go prepare for blood transfusion and on getting back, I found out that the doctors had induced my wife and delivered the dead baby without operation not minding that the CS procedure had been paid for.
This was also without my consent. During the process of delivering the baby, the placenta got ruptured and the doctors left her like that, no further attendance still.
Shortly after, I noticed she was swelling up in her stomach area and called the attention of the doctors who said they were getting ready for a surgery, a preparation that took longer than usual.
After waiting in vain for the surgical team, I furiously went to the reception to demand why they were wasting time only to discover the doctor had sneaked out of the hospital under funny pretenses.
At this point, I got other hospital staff to wheel her out of the hospital and in that process, Chisom died!”
Late Chisom was buried in her husband’s hometown in Awka, Anambra State on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
A video of a commercial bus driver, Kester Edun who was handcuffed to a police patrol van has narrated his excruciating ordeal to newsmen.
Edun said the inhuman treatement meted on his lasted for about seven hours in the Oredo Local Government Area of Edo state without him commiting any offence whatsoevver.
Officers from the Esigie police division within the local government had reportedly arrested the bus driver following the escape of a passenger caught with an empty cigarette pack.
A resident of the area, Augustine Ogbonmwan, who recorded the brutality meted out to the bus driver was also arrested and detained by the policemen.
“The security operatives cuffed my hand to their van and dragged me on the road to compel me to admit to being an accomplice to the passenger,”
“I did not have any incriminating thing on the bus. When the passenger was searched, they found an empty pack of cigarettes in his pocket. Later, the boy ran away. I asked them to run after him, but they ignored me.
“They handcuffed me to the vehicle, adding that I must accept that I was the boy’s accomplice.
“I told them that I did not know the boy, but they cuffed and dragged me from First (Junction) to Third Junction. The policemen parked and started hitting me and I did not know what happened afterwards because I fainted.”
The bus driver was later taken to a private hospital by the policemen, where he was handcuffed to a hospital bed and later detained in a cell at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for allegedly being a cult member, an allegation he denied.
It was, however, gathered that Edun and Ogbonwan were later released on Wednesday.
The bus driver was further quoted by the Punch to have said, “I am not a cult member. I did not do anything. They should also return my mobile phone and money. I remit N5,000 to the owner of the seized bus every day.”
Meanwhile, Edo state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident.
Governor Obaseki condemned the conduct of the policemen and restated the commitment of his administration to ensuring civil and lawful behaviour.
A portion of the statement issued by the press secretary to the governor read in part: “This cruel, inhuman and barbaric treatment is totally unacceptable to the Government of Edo State and is in fact unacceptable in any sane or civilised society. The Governor has directed the Edo State Ministry of Justice to initiate immediate action to identify and prosecute all or any officers or persons found to have been complicit in this outrage”.
The governor also noted that it was such cruelty as meted out to the bus driver that motivated his decision to ban non-state actors from collecting revenue on the streets as they were fond of resorting to violence to obtain illegal levies from innocent citizens.
A 52 year old South African Woman, Thembisile Ntaka has come out to boldly say she is a proud virgin and hasn’t kissed any one in her life.

Thembisile encouraged young women to stay virgins.
“I’m the lastborn at home. My eight siblings got married and left me with my brother’s two children.”
She said when she was young she heard her brothers’ friends saying bad things about the girls they’d had sex with.
“I decided then I didn’t want to be one of those girls,” she said. She said each time there is virginity testing in her area, she is always the first one in line.
“I don’t care if I die without children or a husband. I’m happy with my life and so is my family.”
During the conference, where virgins and virginity testers discussed the importance of purity, tester Zanele Shezi-Sishi said it’s important for women to look after themselves.
“Staying a virgin helps to avoid infections and disease.” Head of recreation at eThekwini Municipality, Thembinkosi Ngcobo, said they chose the topic because too many girls fall pregnant at an early age.

The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, yesterday in Lagos said that out of the 1,648,429 million candidates writing the ongoing UTME, the results of 1,048,914 have been released.
This was just as he also announced the extension of JAMB’s portal for registration, adding that it will finally close its registration portal on 28th May.
He said that in addition to the 1,048,914 results that have been released, over 30,406 results are also ready for upload before midnight today.
He said: “As at today, 1,648, 429 are taking our examination and we have released the result of 1,048,914. That is the result we have released up till yesterday.
“On the first day, we released the results of Sunday because anything you call CBT, the results are ready, but for environmental reasons, we do not release the results immediately.
“That is to ensure we go through the CCTV camera to see whether there are report of malpractice and prevent the situation whereby those who do not pass become agitated at the CBT centres.
“We have released the results of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and we are going to release today’s result before 12 midnight. This morning, the results of 30,046 will be release.
Asked the performances of candidates results so far, he said: “The candidates have not done badly from the results released so far.” As soon as the last person finished writing the last paper today, we will upload additional over 30,406 results before 12 midnight today.”
Oloyede, also disclosed that JAMB’s portal for registration has not closed, adding that it will finally close its registration portal on 28th May. He said that he got the mandate from the Senate few weeks ago to increase the UTME registration period by one month, which according to him will elapse on 28th of May. “As I speak, we have registered additional 1,100 candidates,” he added.
Oloyede who disclosed during this during his visit to one of the CBT Centres in Lagos said that in 2018, fingers print may no longer be required.
He explained: We have now been able to catch those people who registered two people with the same names. The impersonator and the one being impersonated went in collaboration with the CBT centres after screening them.”
He said: “Both the impersonator and one being impersonated used each fingers.
While, the impersonator used two thumb fingers, the impersonated used eight fingers to register.
Thus, we have ten registered fingers and the ten fingers were not from one person.
“In some centres, when we tested all their fingers, we discovered that they were impersonator who had used two of their fingers thumbs in both hands.
“By next year, we may not use finger print, there are other technologies whereby with the technology, everything about the candidate is captured. We need to move in that direction.”

A Female Student of Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Damilola Adegoke has reportedly committed suicide after she drank a whole bottle of “sniper”.
Details are quite sketchy right now, but we gathered that on Tuesday, Dami’s Mom came back home only to find her daughter lying on the floor with an insecticide.
Friends of the deceased have expressed shock over her sudden death on Facebook.

It’s an Islam Custom for the the body of a dead person to be buried the same day they die, except of course they died at night.
“Leaving a corpse for long before burying is a way of suffering the dead and increasing the pains of their loved ones because the more they see their loved one lying lifelessly, the more they feel bad.” an Islamic teacher, Ustaz Mhikail Shittu has said.
But, Moji Olaiya’s 20-year-old daughter, Adun, is having none of that as she insists that her mother’s corpse be brought back for burial in Nigeria, after her death in Canada.
Late Actress, Moyi Olaiya was practising Islam before her sad demise, the actress converted to Islam as an adult, and certain members of her family are suggesting that she be interred today according to Muslim rites.
According to reports, Adun disagreed, Family members had to usher her into a secluded room to calm her down, though, the grieving young lady kept repeating that she wants to see her mother.
‘She must be brought back,’ Adun said. ‘I don’t care what anybody says, I just want my mother’s body’.
It could, however, be difficult to bury her the same day as internments are costly in developed countries.
In Canada where she died, funeral costs can rise as high as $15,000. Flying her body back on the other hand could cost around half that figure.
