Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of Christ (RCCG) today, graced the Kirikiri maximum prisons at the early hours with his presence, with intention of reaching out to inmates.
He gave a charge, where he admonished the inmates that “Whatever dream they have regardless of the circumstances they have found themselves, their dreams would come to pass”
During his visit he was also able to:
* Look at the ongoing works and projects in the Maximum Hospital
* Give Christmas season food items and health care items to the prison
* Check on RCCG sponsored Open University
* Check on the female students and officers
* Also promised he will keep fighting the case of the inmates with the Government of the day across Nigeria.
* Pray for both inmates and their beloved wardens
* Finally promised RCCG will continue to do more in the prison. Because every soul matters both in and outside of the Walls.
Radio and TV Personality, Adenike Oyetunde has penned down an open letter to Olamide over his much talked about Olamide Live In Concert Show – OLIC.
She wrote a bittersweet note to the singer, stating her woes over highly rated concert, people struggled to get tickets for:
“Dear Olamide, what HAPPENED? What!!!
I attended #Olic2 and without a doubt, it was by far my BEST event last year. I talked, and talked about it; everyone around me that didn’t go, knew they had to this year.
Imagine my excitement when I saw these pictures by TyBello, I knew #Olic3 was definitely going to be a hit. I needed to see ‘Olamide Live In Concert’ *coughs. In my life, not even at either Canaanland or Redemption Camp had I EVER been stuck in such traffic.
No clear plans on controlling humans (forget that we are peculiar here). The plan was go with Uber. There was a change, and a friend’s friend took @mayowaekpo and I. What should have taken maybe 30minutes max, turned to two years in traffic.
Nobody deemed it fit to tell us that no cars were going into Eko hotel; we were all just hoping; stuck in traffic. Having to walk so far, isn’t always my first option; for obvious reasons.
Then I got into the hall, Olamide, why?
I came in just as you were done with your first outing and I figured, he’ll be back. You came back ONCE, while I was there and you played CD. Olamide, CD??? I’m still too lost.
CD… Like, ALL that for ‘DJ, track 2’.
Wait first, collect your money from the sound people; BAD, BAD sound. Even Adekunle (God bless his heart) who did LIVE for us, they sha spoilt his sound.
I, Adenike Oyetunde came to see You Olamide, LIVE, (it was a complimentary ticket, FYI), and you hounded me with Comedy. HOW??? How does that even work?
Alibaba’s January 1st Concert is coming, I’ll get comedy there, WHY, did you succumb, Why? I thought you had it all figured out; but, awon aye sold this BAD idea to you.
By the way, were you at Asa’s show? If not, PLEASE, Watch the CD. That’s what LIVE IN CONCERT is on about. I was TOO disappointed and I can’t hide it.
Excellency is KEY. You had ONE year to plan. I honestly didn’t see ANY plan oh; at least, to me. Of course, I still danced, I screamed, I took videos; but, from last year; it could have been WAY better.
I will not comment on that uncle that was jumping arand with you!!! Give us what we ‘paid’ for Nigerian Artiste, PLEASE. People hustled to GET tickets.”
A 400 Level student of Osun State University, Osogbo, Adebisi Rofiat Damilola who was missing 5 days ago has been found dead.
And police detectives are making frantic efforts to unravel circumstances surrounding her death.
According to Daily Trust, Rofiat who was studying Science Education at the Ipetu-Ijesa campus of UNIOSUN left Ipetu on Thursday to attend a programme of NASFAT society at Ikoyi near Ikire and that her whereabouts was unknown since then.
A source who spoke on a condition of anonymity said
“Rofiat left Ipetu-Ijesha on Thursday. She was supposed to be in a NASFAT programme at Ikoyi, not far from Ikire. We have been looking for her since Thursday. We just received a phone call that Rofiat’s body was found somewhere around Iragbiji”.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye confirmed the incident and assured that the perpetrators would be apprehended and brought to book.
He said the remains of the deceased student have been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy and that her family has been notified.
The father of the deceased student died recently and her family was still mourning when Rofiat was also sent to her early grave by unknown killers.
Mourners have been thronging the residence of the deceased at Ilesa Garage in Osogbo to console Rofiat’s mother.
Meanwhile, the two final year students of the same university, Samuel Eke and Akinduro Robert who were declared missing since September 5 have not been found. The CP said the matter is still under investigation.
Police arrested and arraigned a student of the university, Adedamola Olagoke, before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo for kidnapping saying he was the person that communicated last with the missing students before their disappearance.
A 12-year-old boy has been jailed for six months after robbing two shops and mugging a man at knifepoint in a five-month reign of terror.
Mirror UK reports that the young boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, terrorised his victims from June to November this year. But as he was being handed a six-month detention order, he wept in court alongside his mum as he was led to cells.
The young boy mugged a man for his mobile phone after pulling out a three-inch flick knife on him in Dagenham, Essex, on June 24.
The victim asked the muggers to give him his phone back as the boy waved the blade at him, shouting “or what?” before making off with his Oyster card when the man snatched his phone back, Barkingside magistrates’ court heard.
The out-of-control kid criminal went on to steal sweets from A1 Cash and Carry in Dagenham on October 23 as part of a gang of three.
He returned to the same street on November 11 to rob Londis, where he leapt over the shop counter to snatch cigarettes and alcohol. The nightmare schoolboy was thrown out by shopkeeper Jedanatha Jeyaseelan.
He was captured on CCTV punching him repeatedly in the head as another boy hit him over the head with a bottle. Another street yob threw a shop sign at stunned Mr Jeyaseelan, who suffered an injured head, as he lay helpless on the floor.
The boy was told by magistrate Myrna Gilbert that he had to be put behind bars. Saint Duprie, defending, said the lad was led astray by older kids.
Ms Duprie said the lack of a father figure in his single-parent home and a criminal big brother had helped to compromise his “previous good character“.
She told the court:
“He’s a young man, he’s a vulnerable young man and it’s unfortunate that he’s become involved with peers that are much older than himself. “None of them [the offences] were pre-planned, they all took place on the spur of the moment. “He literally went along with what was taking place.”
Ms Duprie said his mum was “doing her best” to raise her children. She insisted that the boy, who’s now 13, is “remorseful“.
“When he was arrested and interviewed for these offences he fully co-operated with the police,” said Ms Duprie.
“He accepts that these are serious matters.”
The thug admitted three counts of robbery and one of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He muttered “I’m not going to do it again” before receiving a six-month detention order for each count, to run concurrently.
A couple who wanted children of their own but couldn’t because of cysts in the wife’s ovary, have been arrested for luring a pregnant woman and attempting to cut her baby from her womb, killing both mother and child in the process.
Thaina da Silva Pinto and her husband Fabio Luiz Lima lured 22-year-old Rayanni Christini Costa to their home under the pretence of donating baby items to her.
Thaina who is 21 years old has been married to Fabio for three years, but upon discovering she could not have children she pretended to friends and family that she was pregnant and even went as far as posting photos of her swollen tummy on social media.
She then joined a Whatsapp group for people wanting to donate baby items where she then got access to pregnant women in need.
It is believed that she had contacted other poor pregnant women under the guise of offering them charity, but upon discovering they planned to show up with friends she cancelled the meeting.
Sadly, the victim turned up alone to collect the non-existent items after dropping her daughter off at the crèche, only to meet her end.
CCTV footage showed Rayanni meeting her abductor, Thaina, at the Central do Brasil train station in Rio before Thaina convinced her to follow her back home where her husband was waiting.
The police have disclosed that a knife was found in a room in the couple’s home and there were pools of blood in more than one room. The charred remains of what is believed to be Rayanni’s body and her baby’s was also found in the home of the couple in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Adanma, daughter of former Imo State Governor Ikedi Ohakim, and her husband, Amaha Okorafor welcomed two babies this year.
A daughter, Kaima, who was born in January 2016, and a son, who was born in December. Narrating her ordeal, she shared on Instagram:
“I have so much to be thankful for especially this year. What many people hope for & only dream about, he has so freely given to me. Kinda convinced he wanted to give me twins but got carried away with my blessings for 2017 then decided to make up for it immediately Lord, your sense of humour tho.
From conception to delivery, the MIRACLES. Maybe someday the story would be told, maybe not. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA),said it has so far distributed over 53,000 condoms through its Wise-up Cross River State campaign at Calabar Christmas Village.
Mr. Olamide Onifade, Head, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, UNFPA, Wise-up Cross River State, disclosed this in a release he issued and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Calabar on Sunday.
Today, he posted Pastor Adeboye’s 2016 prophesies, calling them vague as they didn’t come to pass.
Read his post below:
“I sincerely hope we don’t get these type of vague prophesies for 2017 or is it that we don’t understand the meaning of the word prophesy? Or are we so gullible and blinded by our ‘religiousness’ that we can’t see that these prophesies are as accurate as saying “someone in lagos is going to receive a chieftaincy title in 2016?”
For those of you that haven’t seen the prophesies made by pastor Adeboye on the 1st of January, 2016. Here they are….. what do you think? Because earthquakes didn’t increase in 2016, no new venereal diseases were discovered and things didn’t improve towards the end of the year in Nigeria ?? oh well ? what do I know? There are still 4 days left this year for those things to happen if we pay our tithe ?

According to a trending banner on social media, members of the MMM community whose funds are currently being frozen are being invited to a mass prayer session in Abuja tagged “Mavrodi Return My Money”.
The 7 day fire vigil service which is scheduled to start from the 7th of January till the 13th of the same month, 2017 is being organised by one top ‘man of God’ named Bishop Fireman Dapada of the popular Mole Moba Motungbapada Ministry.
The MMM participants are expected to show up at the prayer venue with their phones, laptops, iPads and other technological devices used in transacting the questionable business. They will be anointed and cleansed by the bishop for safe usage.
The event which is expected to take place at the main bowl of the national stadium in Abuja at exactly 9pm daily has been described as a mockery of the predicament of subscribers of the wonder bank who are close to losing their investments following the freezing of their accounts on the 13th of December, 2017.
Mukhtar Abdulkarim, a Second Republic Senator, along with his brother and driver, was traveling between Kano and Zamfara states on Friday when the truck rammed into his car, killing him instantly.
His brother, Mr. Buhari Abdulkarim, an architect, and his driver were injured in the accident. Both are are said to be receiving medical attention at Uthman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto.
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested an importer of electronics on his way to Hong Kong, for ingesting cocaine. Another suspect who lives in Athens, Greece, was also apprehended with cocaine.
Achebe Chuks David, 37, an importer of electronics at Alaba market, excreted 45 wraps of cocaine, while Ndukwe Daniel, 43, who lives in Athens excreted 5 wraps. David said that he was promised N5m by his cocaine partners. .
David hails from Anambra State and is married with a daughter. Daniel said that he was asked to smuggle 5 wraps of cocaine for the sum of N250k. He hails from Abia state.
Contrary to the widespread tale that the marriage of Zahra Buhari is the third the Indimis are staging with children of the occupants of Nigeria’s seat of power, this wedding is actually the second.
Rahama Yakolo, one of the daughters of the oil tycoon, Muhammadu Indimi, married Mohammed Babangida, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida’s son in 2004, long after the man had left power (he reigned and ruled between 1985 to 1993).
The marriage is now troubled as the couple battle over the custody of their children.
There are no records that any of billionaire Indimi’s children is married into the family of late General
Sani Abacha, as earlier suspected.
But now, the Indimis are part of Nigeria’s first family as their son has spoken for Zahra Buhari.
So, how do the Indimis gravitate towards the seat of power?
Ladies, Do You Have Big Feet? Then you must check out www.ShoeMiners.com!
If you are a lady who wears big-sized shoes, you know how frustrating it can be to find trendy and chic shoes in your size. To meet this need in Nigeria, leading online store www.ShoeMiners.com continues to provide stylish shoes in sizes 41-45 for women with bigger feet.
According to Mr. Butu Lawrence, spokesperson of ShoeMiners.com “we believe that every woman deserves beautiful shoes, regardless of her shoe size.
Historically, women in Nigeria who had big feet could not enjoy stylish and in-vogue styles, but had to settle for just any type of shoes, including men’s sandals sometimes! However, with our range of trendy shoes available in sizes 41-45, women with larger feet now have so much more options”.
ShoeMiners.com offers a worry-free, simple online ordering system where clients can order shoes directly on the website, over the phone or through email, Whatsapp or BBM. Orders are delivered right to the client’s doorstep anywhere in Nigeria within 2-5 business days after payment confirmation.
Addressing likely concern about the security of the “pay before delivery” model, Lawrence clarified that two key measures have been put in place to safeguard customer interest. First, the entire order process is fully documented to protect customer interest.
Even if a customer places an order via telephone, Whatsapp or BBM, a formal Order Confirmation is sent to the customers email address. This is the only document with which the customer can pay via Quickteller or bank transfer, both of which are traceable. Secondly, delivery is made via courier with a signature required before the order is delivered.
So, what happens if the shoes are get to you and don’t fit? All orders from ShoeMiners.com are covered with a full refund policy – if the order arrives and there are any issues, the client simply returns the item(s) to the company within 3 days for a full refund!
It is therefore not surprising that from Kano to Ilorin, Kebbi to Yenagoa, Kaduna to Lagos to Calabar to Abuja….all around Nigeria, women with big feet are enjoying the service and products delivered by ShoeMiners.com.
Ladies, get your foot style on with size 41-45 shoes from www.ShoeMiners.com. To get you started, enjoy 10% discount on the website when you use promo code DIVA10.
It appears that Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye is calling out her Ex-husband and father of her two kids, Stanley Duru.
Recall that Stanley Duru was first actress Nkiru Sylvanus’ boyfriend first before they had issues and he met Oge. She got pregnant and they did some kind of introduction.
Their marriage however crashed a few years ago over irreconcilable differences and both parties refused to address the issue.
Interestingly, Oge is now posting cryptic mesages on her Instagram page.
Chozynboy completely took his woman Joy by surprise when he took her out on a date, dropped on one knee and proposed to her. This happened last month in the United States.
The excited groom-to-be shared these photos and it’s got everyone gushing. Read what he said about his woman:

Following the damning prophecy of Prophet Olagorioye Faleyimu, founder of Mountain of Blessing and Miracle Church of Christ recently against popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele Bello, her husband JJC Skillz has taken to Snapchat to give a cryptic response.
Faleyimu had said the actress will remain barren in his 2017 prophecy. He said: “They need to pray like never before so as not to lose another 2 stars before the year runs out.
Without special prayers, Funke Akindele won’t have a child before she dies because she is destined to be wealthy and famous but not destined to have a child and stable husband until she engages herself in the special prayer.
Whosoever marries her must have another reason because the issue of not having a child will keep coming up and it will scatter the marriage. If she refuses to do the prayer, she will end up adopting a child and by that time, she will be living alone without husband. .
Another grace she has is to marry a pastor who can fight the battle on her behalf with prayers.”
Responding, Funke’s husband JJC Skillz has heaped love and affection on his wife saying she gave him peace and made him finally know what true love means.
“We’ll grow old together and reap the fruits of our labour” a part of the message read.
He added: “No evil prophecies will come to pass in your generations.” JJC Skillz posted.
Early in the day, Cool FM OAP, Daddy Freeze condemned the prophecy and said it will not come to pass.
The prophet at the center of the controversial prediction about the impending death of Prophet T.B. Joshua, which is currently trending online, has come out to denounce and disassociate himself from the “fake prophecy” made by one faceless Dr Olagorioye Faleyimu.
In a statement released to Sahara Weekly, Prophet Peculiar Hephzibah said,
“I was shocked to see my picture posted everywhere online today, claiming that I predicted the death of T.B. Joshua amidst other supposed revelations for 2017. I am crying out to the world to help me because I am NOT the person who said this. They used my picture but the false prophecy does not come from me. Someone used my picture and credited this fake prophecy to me. I am shocked to see it! Let T.B. Joshua know that this is not from me and someone used my picture. The same thing will happen to the person who credited this fake prophecy to me – which I know nothing about. As he wishes a prophet of God, so it shall happen to him.
“I implore all the news sites and blogs who published the fake prophecy – Naij.com, Daily Post, Pulse, Linda Ikeji and others I cannot mention – to help retract this story immediately. It’s not from me although it is my picture. I am shocked! If anyone can help me, please help me to reach T.B. Joshua – because I am ashamed to say I want to reach him with this lie credited to me. I know he is a prophet of God and God will reveal to him that I am not the one; they only used my picture.
“This is my advice to bloggers – don’t use any story you see on another website without confirming from the person concerned. If you cannot reach the person who sent the message, don’t publish it – the person is faceless. Confirm everything before you publish it. This is a case of ‘Touch not My Anointed and do My Prophet no harm’. This is a curse!”
Most of the reactions that trailed the contentious prediction questioned the authenticity of both the prophet and his purported prophecy, noting that no online trace could be found of the man in question or his ministry, either in image or video.
In 2013, a teenage girl of 16 years old, Arayinbogoke Busayo came out to claim that she got a baby girl for the Osun State born actor, but he denied the pregnancy and the baby afterwards.
They were both interviewed on the popular TV program “Labe Orun ” on different occasion and they both narrated their own side of the story.
Speaking with the media, Murphy said: “It happened that she came to a location with her friend who was like a mother to her, and I was the director of the movie. She was clinging herself to me but I tried as much as possible to avoid her. Later on, she said she wanted to act and my response was that she should go and tell Golugo. I had sex with her that day, I cannot deny that, but while she was at the location, I found that different men also slept with her to the extent that I was ashamed to have known her.”
In a slight twist in the tale, the girl who is allegedly the daughter of the Popular Yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi has been crying every moment that she wants to see her father.
Report claims, the little girl, Moyosoreoluwa Afolabi who recently clocked 7 in August has not been performing well in school because of her inability to enjoy fatherly roles in her life.
In order to close the case and prove the paternity of the child, the actor was asked to do DNA test but he vehemently refused to do that up till this moment.
Have you been looking for a legitimate way to make money on the Internet using your smart phone (tablet, PC), and more importantly, without leaving the comfort of your home and or office? Then read on… even if for knowledge sake.
You can still end 2016 very strong and start 2017 on a good note.
Introduction to the World’s Biggest and Most Popular Digital Currency:
BITCOIN
Bitcoin is a digital currency that was created by pseudonym Natoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin is real money. It has no borders, no regulatory bodies, and can be transferred from one user’s bitcoin wallet to the other with the speed of light. It’s like sending a mail from Nigeria to America. Instant!
As at 2009 when bitcoin was launched, 1 bitcoin was about 10 cents. But as at today, 1 bitcoin equals $792 (almost N500,000), and is increasing daily.
I do not need to tell you that this is a very good investment.
You can sell your bitcoins anytime (no matter how little). It’s very (very) simple.
THE REAL DEAL
Now let me show you how you can become a millionaire with Five2btc.
Five2btc is a direct member-to-member donation platform that uses ONLY bitcoins for transactions. Which means, no central account, no request for withdrawal, no admin.
Your money (bitcoin) is paid straight into your Blockchain wallet; which is similar to your traditional bank account. Deposits, withdrawals, and transfers are done instantly!
You can sell your bitcoins anytime and get the naira equivalent straight into your Nigerian bank account.
Five2btc’s front man is David Vincente Martin from Spain.
Five2btc was officially launched in September 2016, and as at today, the number of Five2btc members worldwide is over 38,000 and increasing by the day. When I joined about 2 months ago, there were a little over 7,000 members.
HOW IT WORKS
Five2btc gives you the opportunity to accumulate up to 64 bitcoins monthly. In Five2btc you start with 0.01 bitcoins (N5,000) and grow this figure to 64 bitcoins (N32,000,000) monthly in the long run.
Now how do you do this?
Five2btc is a 2×5 forced matrix.
You sign up for free and you are placed on level 0. The system gives you 24 hours to upgrade to level 1. To upgrade to level 1 you donate 0.01btc (5,000) to your sponsor. You are given your referral link and are ready to start making money.
Hang on!
You only invite 2 people and no more. Even if you invite more than 2 people the system will not place them directly under you, but under the 2 people you first invited.
We advise strongly that every member invites 2 people into the program, but in the event that you genuinely cannot invite 2 people, the team will help you out. That’s the whole concept of a team. We do paid adverts periodically so you can be assured that you are in a team that has a goal and is bent on achieving it.
The first 2 people you invite will form your level 1 downline. Each of them will pay you 0.01btc (0.01btc = N5,000 ×2 = N10,000). 100% ROI.
4 people will be placed under the first 2 people.
These 4 people will form your level 2 downline.
These 4 people will each donate 0.015 btc ×4 = 0.06btc (N7500 ×4 = N30,000) to you when they upgrade to level 2 (as long as you’ve upgraded to Level 2).
8 people will be placed under the 4 people who have recently joined. These 8 people will form your level 3 downline.
Now these 8 people will each donate 0.04btc ×8 = 0.32btc (N20,000 ×8 = N160,000) to you when they upgrade to level 3 (as long as you’ve upgraded to Level 3).
It will interest you to know that these payments are done monthly. Which means on level 3, you are already on a monthly income of N160,000.
16 people will be placed under the 8 people who have recently joined.
These 16 people will form your level 4 downline.
Now these 16 people will each donate 0.2btc ×16 = 3.2btc (100,000 ×16 = N1,600,000) to you when they upgrade to level 4 (as long as you’ve upgraded to Level 4).
32 people will be placed under the 16 people who have recently joined. These 32 people will form your level 5 downline.
Now these 32 people will each donate 2btc ×32 = 64btc (N1,000,000 ×32 = N32,000,000) to you when they upgrade to level 5 (as long as you’ve upgraded to Level 5).
Now, instead of doubting and criticising and overanalyzing (which is the default mode of a typical Nigerian), why not press to know more and be guided properly?
The world has gone past the age where you have to use a hoe and a cutlass, or work 9-5 to be able to make a living.
This is the Internet age where anything is possible! Give it a try today, even if for curiosity sake.
This might look like a get-rich-quick scheme, but I can assure you it’s not. You will get rich, but it will not be overnight.
THE TEAM
It is almost impossible to succeed in Five2btc as an individual, which is why we formed a team. The Bitcoinaires Hub comprises people of different disciplines; budding entrepreneurs who are eager to make it.
Who have stopped depending on the government and have taken full responsibility for their lives. Who know that it is better to try and fail, than to not try and regret. Who know that if they lose, they lose N5,000, but if they win, they win N32,000,000 (monthly) in the long run.
Your success is guaranteed!

The immediate past Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has advised his successor, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, to avoid engaging in acts that could bring any past occupant of that office to public ridicule.
This is coming after Idris accused Arase that he took away 24 police vehicles while leaving office in June as the IG.
In a reply dated December 1, 2016, Arase pointed out that he desisted from ridiculing the last two IGs before him even though he knew that they each went away with 13 and nine police vehicles respectively when leaving office.
That it was for this reason that while he was in office, he ensured that Force Order 295 was put in place to protect ex-IGs from being demeaned.
The former IGs, which Arase referred to, are Mohammed Abubakar, who retired in 2014 and Suleiman Abba, who was sacked in April last year by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Arase had earlier dismissed his successor’s allegations that he left with two dozens of vehicles while leaving office, wondering what he would do with such number of vehicles.
Arase said rather than denigrate Abba, who he succeeded, he indeed initiated actions and bought a brand new bulletproof jeep for the sacked IG despite the fact that Abba’s administration left a debt of N28bn for him to contend with.
He urged Idris to put the integrity and honour of the Nigeria Police Force first in any action he might want to take so that the force would not be exposed to public ridicule.
Arase said:
“I expect that former occupants of the office of the Inspector-General of Police should not be demeaned. This explains why Force Order 295 was emplaced by the force management under my leadership as acknowledged in your letter in reference.
“In spite of the emplacement of this order and despite the fact that my two immediate predecessors left office with 13 and nine vehicles of different makes and models respectively, I never pressurised either of them to return any of such vehicles neither did I engage in any act that was capable of bringing them to ridicule as being done to me of late by a force I dedicated my life to serving up to the highest level.
“Rather, it is on record that I went the extra mile to source for funds and initiated actions towards purchasing a brand new bulletproof jeep for my immediate predecessor, even after his retirement from service. This was done notwithstanding the fact that I inherited and had to manage a huge debt profile of about N28bn, which limited the financial base of the force at the time.”
Among the 13 vehicles, which Arase said Abubakar took away were a BMW (7 series) bulletproof car; and two Toyota Land Cruiser V8 bulletproof jeeps.
According to him, Abba also took away a Toyota Land Cruiser bulletproof jeep and a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado jeep along with seven other vehicles.
Arase said God had blessed him so much and he was contended to the point that he would willingly surrender “all my vehicular entitlements even as contained in the Revised Force Order 295 in the overriding interest of the force and in the sustenance of the legacy of comradeship between an incumbent IGP and his predecessor.”
He said he decided to delay in returning the vehicles, which Idris alleged he took away, as a form of protest against the “unfair, untidy and demeaning approach the matter was handled until now.”
Arase, however, said he harboured no animosity towards Idris and encouraged him to feel free to approach him for advice, just as his predecessors did to him.
