2Face Idibia may have taken part in some political campaigns, but the singer strongly believes that he is not cut out for politics.
The music legend broke a couple of hearts when he revealed that he doe does not see himself running for public office now or in the future for that matter.
Speaking during a chat with Sunday Scoop, 2Face said, “I don’t think I’m cut out for politics; except I get a political appointment. I can’t just accept any appointment for the sake of it.”

And she happily admits to spending more on them than her boyfriend of three years, Jack Cassidy, 26, a car body painter.

“People might say that spoiling my dogs this much is excessive, but I think it’s fine.

Common misconceptions Myth: The reason why Jehovah’s Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas is that they do not believe in Jesus.
Fact: We are Christians. We believe that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ.—Acts 4:12.
Myth: You divide families by teaching members not to celebrate Christmas.
Fact: We care deeply about families, and we use the Bible to help build stronger families.
Myth: You miss out on the “Christmas spirit” of generosity, peace on earth, and goodwill toward men.
Fact: We strive to be generous and peaceable every day. (Proverbs 11:25; Romans 12:18) For example, the way we conduct our meetings and preach is in harmony with Jesus’ instruction: “You received free, give free.” (Matthew 10:cool In addition, we direct attention to God’s Kingdom as the true hope for peace on earth.—Matthew 10:7.
Why don’t Jehovah’s Witnesses celebrate Christmas?
Jesus commanded that we commemorate his death, not his birth.—Luke 22:19, 20.
Jesus’ apostles and early disciples did not celebrate Christmas.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia says that “the Nativity feast was instituted no earlier than 243 [C.E.],” more than a century after the last of the apostles died.
There is no proof that Jesus was born on December 25; his birth date is not recorded in the Bible.
We believe that Christmas is not approved by God because it is rooted in pagan customs and rites.—2 Corinthians 6:17.
Why make Christmas an issue?
Many still celebrate Christmas despite knowing about its pagan roots and lack of support from the Bible. Such persons could ask: Why should Christians take such an unpopular stance? Why make it an issue?
The Bible encourages us to think for ourselves, to use our “power of reason.” (Romans 12:1, 2) It teaches us to value the truth. (John 4:23, 24) So while we are interested in how others view us, we adhere to Bible principles even if it means that we become unpopular.
Although we choose not to celebrate Christmas ourselves, we respect each person’s right to decide for himself in this matter. We do not interfere in the Christmas celebrations of others.
Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year in Advance.

BAYO AKINLOYE compiles 10 things that got under the Nigeria’s number one citizen’s skin.
Governor Ayo Fayose
“Every one of my trips can be politically or economically assessed. I recall that the first trip I had was to go to Chad and Niger. The trip was mainly because of Nigeria’s security.
“I have not seen any frivolous journey that I undertook. I understand that the Governor of Ekiti State (Ayo Fayose) said that every trip I make costs Nigeria at least $1m. I do not know how he worked that out.
But every trip that I have made, there must be economic and political reasons that justified them. Those who do not see it the way the government sees it have the right not to agree and say whatever they like. But we will try and give them the appropriate reply.”

It has been revealed that a Qur’anic School teacher in Kurna Babban Layi area of Kano has perfected plans to marry off his 13-year-old daughter, Bilkisu, to his 56-year-old friend.
The revelation was made by a relative of the teenager who raised the alarm on Saturday when she took the teenager to Freedom Radio office in Sharada, Kano for a media campaign against the marriage.
According to Daily Nigerian, the teary-eyed teenager revealed that she does not love the man, saying she always cried whenever the matter was mentioned.
The relative, who pleaded not to be named, said she is calling for authorities, especially Kano State governor and Emir of Kano, to intervene and abort the marriage, billed to hold Friday next week.
She said she was concerned about the kind of life the girl would live if she married a man who has three wives and many grown up children.
“The groom has three wives, many children and grandchildren. I am appealing to Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi and governor of Kano to help intervene,” he said.
She also disclosed that the father planned to marry off Bilkisu’s sister of almost the same age on the same day.
The famous actor escaped the gnashing teeth of death in Ibadan on the 12th of December.
He was on his way home from the movie set of Giant (Omiran) produced by Tolulope Oke and featuring Femi Adebayo when disaster struck.
I can categorically give a first-hand testimony of the scene that it was only by the saving hands of God that the car did not overturn into the swampy ditch on the express.
The Toyota Camry was literally hanging by a thread at the edge of what i can only describe as a death trap.
Our government really must do more in repairing our roads, putting the safety of road users first. There are too many death traps on Nigerian roads.
As we all travel during this festive period, please take a few seconds to hand your journey into the hands of almighty God and be extra vigilant.
The actor who was on-set hours after the incident sat by the road side during the careful pulling out of his car.

It’s that time of the year when people around the world celebrate Christmas. But this year, it seems Nigerian celebrities are engrossed with work as recession bites deep.
JOAN OMIONAWELE speaks to some of them on their plans for Christmas. Their responses:
Kehinde Bankole: Christmas will still stand strong as we have made every other thing work. This year’s celebration will not be affected despite the fact that Nigeria has constantly been in some form of recession or the other before now through which we Nigerians have learnt to cut spending, thrive and strategise better and plan living conveniently as much as we could try. We still thank God.
Adekunle Gold: I have a lot of shows this year, I really don’t have special plans, it’s just work, work and work.
Juliet Ibrahim: I’ll be spending it with my family and having a swell time with them as usual.
Mercy Johnson: I will be busy filming my TV show, Mercy, marriage, cooking and kids and then I will also do my yearly charity work with my hubby while manning the homefront and kids in celebration of the birth of Christ. I also hope to make myself better, as well as my family and career in the coming year, with God on my mind at all times.
Gregory Ojefua: I’ll be busy working a few days before and after christmas. Most importantly. I’ll have to canvas for votes as I was nominated for best Actor for AMVCA 2017. I’ll also take time to rest and visit friends whom I have not seen in a while.
Ruth Kadiri: Wow, I never knew it was already Christmas, Ive been busy on set and busy with the production of my new movie, ‘Trouble comes to town’.
I really cannot wait for this year to come to an end. I’ll be working on set a day after Christmas, So I won’t say I have any holidays.
Toyin Aimakhu: -It’s going to be a working holiday for me. I have events lined up, movie shoots and premieres which would go on probably till new year’s eve.
Veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, hasn’t opened up so easily since the death of his wife, Henrietta, some months back. It may seem the actor is still mourning and even the controversies the death generated thereafter didn’t help matters.
And concerning the controversies especially the allegations from a social media strategist, Kemi Olunloyo, that she suspected that the actor was a ritualist because he had lost three wives, Kosoko said that Olunloyo only spoke her mind and she had a right to air her opinion.
He further said that it was a closed chapter because her father called him to apologise for his daughter’s utterance.
“I do not want to go to Kemi Olunloyo’s issue because the chapter is closed. I do not want to dwell much on it because when people approached me and informed me of what she was saying, I said she was entitled to her opinion. She was voicing out, what about those that would not say anything but in their mind, they would say that I have lost about three wives? They are only being human but the truth is that for Olunloyo, that is her opinion no matter how hurt I might have been with her utterances. By my nature, there was nothing I could do. But I appreciate her father who called me and apologised. He said some other things that I may not be able to share with the public.
“When she said all those things, I really did not reply because it is not in my nature and that time, I was mourning so her case was secondary. I am still mourning so there are very little things I want to say.”
It was also alleged that Kosoko didn’t pay the bride price of the late Henrietta. To that allegation he said, “I did not pay her bride price and she stayed with me for 22 years, does that not mean that something is wrong somewhere? The burial ceremony plans did not change suddenly. The plan since the day she died was that she would be buried in her hometown.
I told them that I wanted her to be buried in Lagos, it was a case of give and take and my famy be someone in the family who may think there is a foul play and would want to do anything to confirm one or two things, so I could not really stop them.
She belonged to all of us but more to me. I embrace peace and nothing happened at her hometown, it was a normal catholic burial,” he said.
“Forget about what people said. My late wife was ill and she died of complications which arose from diabetes. My friends, family and colleagues stood by me and I appreciate it. Of course, you will always have one or two persons that would say one or two negative things but in my life, I have fought so many wars and I have won all of them; so it is only someone who wants to be crushed that would confront me in war because almighty God has His plan for me. It is quite unfortunate that all these things are happening to me but I still thank almighty God because there are reasons for everything.”
Kosoko also disclosed that he still misses his late wife.
“I miss everything about her, yes, she was human and she had her flaws but I must confess I would miss her for so many things. She was my companion because we were in the same profession. She was not only my wife but we were in the same industry together. I still dream about her but it is mostly based on my imagination. How I hope she was still alive. I would miss her food because she was a fantastic cook.”
A couple married for 64 years spent their final few moments together clutching each other’s hands tightly before dying minutes apart in neighbouring hospital beds.
Dolores Winstead, 83, and husband Trent Winstead, 88, from Tennessee died in Nashville’s Saint Thomas West Hospital – five weeks short of their 64th wedding anniversary.
Only days earlier Dolores had been completely healthy when Trent was admitted over his failing kidneys.
They had been by each other’s side for six decades.
With their children Eddie and Sheryl, she watched over him as his condition worsened and he was moved to intensive care.
Then on December 7 Dolores suddenly began to complain of a headache and was taken ill.
It later transpired she had suffered a severe brain aneurysm – and needed to be connected to a ventilator as – in tandem with her husband – her condition began to deteriorate.
Hospital staff worked to get them placed in the same room – and the couple were pictured holding hands next to each other.
Dolores died first, with Trent blowing her a kiss when he was told she had passed before then dying himself a few hours later.
Sheryl told the Washington Post :
“Because she was gone, he just could not handle it. We just watched him die.
“I hadn’t thought about it this way at the time. (He) literally, he died of a broken heart.
“Never in a million years did I think I was going to come out of the hospital with neither one.”
As well as having two children, the couple had three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
They originally met in the 1950s in Dickson County, Tennessee – marrying after Trent returned from fighting in the Korean War during which they exchanged love letters.
It would have been their 64th wedding anniversary on January 17.
The couple were buried side-by-side this week – Dolores in a pink coffin and Trent in a blue one.
The song ‘Love Remains’ by Hillary Scott was played at their funeral.
Its lyrics say: “A boy moves on, takes a bride. And she stands faithful, by his side.”
Reno Omokri yesterday, posted a very beautiful message to his followers.. He advised them not to buy Expensive cars instead they should buy bigger investments.
He also spoke about marriage.. he said that a wife material is a Lady that adds value to your life.. noting that sex isn’t value.
Below is what he wrote:
“When your salary increases, don’t buy a bigger car, instead, buy bigger investments. Cars grow older, investments grow bigger. Remember, the day your company doesn’t need you, they’ll sack you. Don’t wait for it. Start growing your business and sack them first. Finally, when you are ready for marriage, note that a wife material must be a lady who adds value to your life. To avoid ambiguity, sex is not value. Even a prostitute can provide that #RenosNuggets”
Scandals are common occurrences in the entertainment industry and Nigeria is not different. This year, there were a lot of scandals recorded, many of which made headlines for weeks.
Here is a list of the top scandals in the entertainment industry in 2016.
Don Jazzy Versus Olamide At The Headies
Scandals kicked off on the very first day of the year. At the 2015 Headies, which actually took place on the 1st of January, 2016, there was a lot of drama that led to two power houses in the Nigeria music scene going head to head.
The brouhaha started when Mavin artiste, Reekado Banks won the coveted Next Rated Artiste Category. This obviously didn’t go down well with Olamide whose YBNL artiste, Lil Kesh appeared a bigger favourite in the run up to the show to win the award.
Olamide used his time on stage to throw shade at the event organisers for not giving Lil Kesh the award. He said this while using profanities as he listed all the hit songs Lil Kesh had produced that year alone.
Not long after, Don Jazzy used his own opportunity on stage to get back at Olamide. He said, “Egbon Olamide, if you want the car, come and collect it.” Their war of words continued online where Olamide used Twitter to threaten Don Jazzy.
Days later, the whole fight was squashed, or at least made to look like it was. Billionaire, Aliko Dangote called up the two music titans and settled the rift. The two were seen taking pictures together.
Princess Hafsah Siddika Sanusi (daughter of Sarkin Kano His Highness Muhammad Sanusi II CON) today got married to her man, Abubakar Umaru Kurfi in a wedding that happened at her father’s palace and was attended by state governors and more dignitaries.
This is the moment the newly wedded cute couple posed for a photo in each other’s arms. See Photos Below:
