A young Nigerian man has taken to social media to confess that he sold the land that belonged to his family and used the money to emigrate.

The man who goes by the Twitter handle @dangbanamanager claimed that he sold the land for N60 million and then left for the UK, where he has remained ever since.

According to him, he chose to remain in London and not return to his hometown, Ijebu-Ososa, Ogun state because of what he did.

He shared the story in response to a tweet that read; “What’s the highest credit alert you’ve ever received at once?”

The post received a lot of responses from netizens who were curious about how he was able to carry off the scam.

He wrote;

“60million naira for the sale of our family land. That’s the reason I haven’t gone back to ososa since all this years”

In other news, Zukiswa Joyi, a 34-year-old Virgin from South African, has taken to her social media page to lament that she is still unmarried.

Two formerly single best friends who recently became engaged have melted hearts online as they share their delight in getting married at the same time.

One of the women took to Tiktok to share her moving story about her time as a single woman.

She described how they used to talk on the phone and joke about being single while still holding out hope for finding their own Mr. Right.

Years later, they got engaged in the same month, and her best friend—who hadn’t been informed of the engagement—called to ask if she would be her bridesmaid. She then informed her best friend that she too was getting married.

The lady shared a video of herself and her friend showing off their wedding rings and captioned it,

“l remember when we were both single and we’ll call each other and laugh about it that God when? Then boommm same year same month we both got married. Irene called me from UK to be her bridesmaid only to hear I am also getting married… like joke like joke… this is how far God has brought us. God is still not done ¥with us yet.We pray for God’s time and blessings for every woman expecting marriage in Jesus name”

A basic Post on X (formerly known as Twitter) got people talking on the ethos surrounding the art of giving.

A Nigerian man on the platform with the handle @daveyhert, took to his page to tell the short story of how he decided not to gift a Laptop to someone simply because he became abreast with the knowledge that the person is a proud owner of an iphone 11.

His Post reads ;

“Sadly, I wanted to give a laptop to someone but went to their page and found they owned an iPhone 11. It may seem petty but I believe you’re doing just fine and you’ll eventually figure things out for yourself. Let it go to someone else who is in a more desperate position,” he on Saturday, September 9.

“P.S. it’s okay to disagree with my decision or think it unfair. It was my call to make, and I had to eliminate as many people as I could to pick one. Doesn’t mean the others don’t deserve it… I had a judgement call to make based on the available superficial info, and I made it.”

His post generated opposing comments on the micro-blogging platform with some section supporting his action while others berated him due to the fact that a person’s mobile device does not neccesarily tell the financial situation that person might be going through.
