President Mohammadu Buhari has revealed that world powers engineered his removal as Nigeria’s Military Head of State.
Buhari previously served as the nation’s Head of State from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985, after taking power in a military coup d’état.
He made the disclosure while speaking when he was hosted to a Guards Brigade Regimental Dinner by the Nigerian Army on Friday night in Abuja.
The president recalled how his refusal to adhere to an advice from the IMF, World Bank to devalue the naira and increase prices of fuel and flour, as a military Head of State, led to his removal.
He said: “I refused and gave my reasons and the next thing I knew I was removed and detained for three and half years.”
Buhari therefore, stated that he was conversant with the problems of the military having spent over 25 years in the service.
“As a civilian president I will do my best and I’m telling you all these because you are part of the leadership of this great country and God willing we will remain great,” he added.

A Nigerian Journalist, Chris Joseph has written an open letter to the duo of Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro on his Instagram page, seeking the reconciliation of the estranged couple.
The couple have been in the news, the last few days over the deteriorating state of their one year old marriage. Recently, Lilian Esoro removed Ubi’s surname “Franklin” from her Instagram page and deleted all of Ubi Franklin’s photos, including pictures of them together.
Just as other social media users noticed, Well, Joseph did too and decided to write an open letter, letting them know how he truly feels about the situation.
Stating that he didn’t think the Marriage was over and that they should perhaps stay away from social media for a while.

_______________________________So if your husband has something that bugs you, more than likely it bugged you prior to jumping the broom, now is the time you must deal with it. If it’s really wearing you down, communicate how much it is affecting your relationship with him and see there is a compromise between you both. Accepting defeat or divorce is a no no at this point for you both, and as you know love heals all wounds.

A 37-year-old man, Victor Ojiaku, who allegedly stabbed his wife, a student, with a broken bottle in her private part, has been granted bail in the sum of N250,000 by the Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court.
Ojiaku, who sells automobile parts and resides at 22, Arike John Close, White Sand, Isheri-Osun in Lagos State, reportedly stabbed his wife whom he suspected of having a sexual relationship with his sales representative.
Magistrate Akeem Fashola, who gave the ruling, also ordered the accused to produce two sureties in like sum.
He said the sureties should be working in reputable organisations and also possess three-year tax clearance as well as the Lagos State resident identity card.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the case has been taken up by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team.
The Coordinator of DSVRT, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, narrated how the victim was kept indoors and punished severely by her husband.
“The victim, Mrs. Faith Ojiaku, 27, a student, was held hostage by her husband for two days, depriving her of calling any family member for help or receiving medical attention.
“She was subsequently rushed to the hospital for treatment after which she collapsed. She then pleaded with the doctor to make use of his phone to call her sister.
“It was her sister that informed DSVRT which advised her to report the case at the Police station on behalf of her wounded sister.
“He also injured the sales representative with a broken bottle and some dangerous weapons.
“We had an official meeting with the DPO who told us that the suspect was arrested on December 27 and he has promised to ensure that justice would be done in the case,” Vivour-Adeniyi told NAN.
The suspected assailant, a father of three, is facing a six-count charge bordering on grievous bodily harm, threat to life and assault.
No date has been fixed for the trial of the case. (NAN)

The self proclaimed ‘Love Doktor’, Joro Olumofin’s brother, Dokun has warned married women to stay off social media or lose their husbands.
The warning came as part of a post released by Dokun Olumofin warning married women against losing their husbands to online witches, twerkers, Instagram models and others.

“As an active user of social media, I have observed that some married women have been over doing it with social media especially Instagram and Snapchat.
“They wake up, sleep, brush their teeth, forward gossips, and tag the whole of Africa on their social media posts. I have coined a phrase for them as ‘Pathetic Juntas of Social Media’.”
He continued: “You see marriage for some, can be complicated as it is whilst for others, it’s a complicated mess. With social media, you could wake up to a rumour about your husband and a “supposed” mistress. Already, may have an over-bearing mother-in-law all up in your business, work stress may also put pressure on your marriage as much as being a parent can as children may be an added strain on your marriage, (all those who have kids know what I mean). So why make it even more complicated by allowing social media to intrude on your marriage?
The three points I have stated below are what troubles me about married women on social media and make me believe married women should get off social media.
1. Security –
You post information about children’s school, your location, events you are attending or would be attending, your husband’s job, your partner’s luxury gifts to you, pictures of your husband grabbing your backside, your husband’s expensive anniversary present, your husband’s weaknesses e.g “my man loves dark chocolate!”
Implying he likes dark-skinned women. “Ooooohhhhhh…he loves me in Aso Ebi” Indirectly implying that a sexy woman in Aso Ebi might get his attention.
When you state all the above listed about your husband, you have opened him up for vultures and potential mistresses to prey on your beloved husband, a potential kidnapper to kidnap your kids, or blatantly showed your hand like a careless player in a game of poker. Being overly showy attracts unnecessary attention to your marriage and most times it will be unwanted attention.
2. Take a back seat to single women
It is highly unfair for married women to attract and seek attention from potential suitors that would have been otherwise directed at single women.
We know social media has the randiest, most vicious demons in sheep’s clothing. We also know that social media has a relatively high number of decent men searching for the Mrs. right. We have all heard of countless stories about partners meeting on social media. So my question is; what are you doing competing with single women for attention on social media? Especially when your marriage and home should have your full attention and the only other attention you should desire is that of your spouse.
I wish I could tag all the married women who dress to kill on social media. No harm in being well dressed, however, These culprits dress up so much that if you are not the pope, a eunuch, or a pastor, you will fall victim and send them a direct message (DM) or comment with love struck emojis on their social media entries.
These actions by these married women are distracting potential men from finding potential wives. If a man sees a married woman with curves that look like an assassin’s sword with the caption “Cake for hubby” you are bound to tempt men, single or taken, even if the backside is for your hubby. The single men who should focus on finding a single decent lady will start fantasizing on how he will penetrate that married back side instead.
3. Chances of a troubled marriage.
Honestly, this is the most important point, I believe it in my heart and soul that the rate of breakups in marriages has been impacted negatively, due to married women subscribing to social media.
A DM from a woman to your husband who saw all the gifts your husband bought for you is deadly. A lady that spots the business class ticket your husband bought you could become a problem.
A lady that is your namesake or lookalike who knows for sure your husband likes her type might persistently try her luck to spite you I place you. The woman that knows your husband is a chronic womanizer through research on him might also make a move on him.
So I say to my married lady friends, get off social media and re-direct your focus towards your marriage. You and your husband might just start to see each other in a new light again.
CONCLUSION. Married Women get off social media today and be happy. Married Men get your wives off social media or risk a better looking or loving man shag your wife and perhaps even more.”

Recall that Lilian Esoro some days ago started her social media account cleanse by first removing her husband’s name, Franklin, from her social media profile.
Following the move, she sent out a cryptic message on behalf of herself and her son, Jayden while excluding Ubi Franklin from the mix.

Yesterday, a new photo of the twin girls, their sister and parents surfaced on social media, showing how happy the family now is following a successful separation surgery at the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Recall that in March of this year, Caroline Danjuma brought national attention to the plight of the parents whose twins were at that time held in an Enugu hospital. According to the actress, the hospital had refused to release the girls and were planning to separate the twins.
She alleged that the hospital does not have sufficient equipment to carry out the operation, and also revealed that the hospital worried parents. Following media attention, the twins were moved to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital from where they were flown abroad for the procedure. The trip was sponsored by Arik Air.
In November, the surgery to separate the girls who were joined at the lower half of the body took 18 hours, and it turned out successful. Now, the girls continue to wax stronger.

Yesterday, the Johnny singer took to her Twitter to reveal that she has received her first ever invitation to music’s biggest night – the 59th annual Grammy Awards ceremony holding in the United States in February 2017.
This comes moments after Nigerians trolled the singer over the kind of lyrics she writes. While some insist her music is ‘wack’, some praised the two-time MAMA Best Female award winner who really is the first ever African female singer to bag the MTV awards twice, consecutively.
Now, she will be live at the Grammys and many fans hope this is a good step in the right direction – soon, their queen will bag the first biggest nomination.

Makhala Ramaela got a pair of pit bull dogs for protection after her house was burglarized several times – the 47-year-old from G Section in Botshabelo, South Africa, was last Saturday, viciously mauled by the same dogs.
Makhala, who is recovering at Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein, is puzzled by what made her beloved dogs turn against her. She said she had been living alone for a long time and thugs were terrorising her.
Five years ago she decided to get the dogs. The dogs – a bitch named Siby and a male named Rex – eventually built a loving and protective relationship with her.
“I managed to tame them and fed them every morning before work. My dogs loved me. I would find them peering over the devils’ fork waiting for me after work. They would jump with joy as I entered the yard,” she said.
But on Saturday the dogs attacked her viciously.
“I was shocked and realised something was not right. I screamed for help as the dogs started to attack. I thought I could get away by running into the outside toilet but that was not to be. They just tore into me.”
Her scared neighbours tried to save her by spraying the dogs with water.
“That actually made them more enraged. I was rescued by the arrival of the police who fired some shots.”
Police spokesman Constable Peter Kareli, who confirmed the incident said one of the dogs has died and they are waiting for the owner to decide fate of the other.

A 37-year-old man who stabbed his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend to death in a senseless attack was on December 19th, sentenced to life imprisonment.
Tapiwa Douglas Furusa, attacked Leigh-Anne Mahachi outside of her home in Spotswood Close, Gleadless Valley, Sheffield as she left for work on the morning of Tuesday 12 April.
Furusa, of Leonard Place, Clarendon Way, Colchester appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday December 19, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to murder at an earlier hearing on Friday November 18.
He was sentenced to life in prison, to serve a minimum of 26 years behind bars. Bank worker Leigh-Anne had left the house to go to work in the city centre when her mother heard screaming and shouting coming from outside.
She looked outside and saw Leigh-Anne’s ex-boyfriend, Furusa, knelt over her, lashing out at the top half of her body with a knife. Leigh-Anne was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Ashmore, the senior investigating officer, said:
“When Leigh-Anne’s mother ran out of the house, Furusa had left the area, and she was met with a truly horrific sight. I cannot quite put into words the devastating impact this has had on Leigh-Anne’s family. Her mother describes hearing her daughter taking her last breaths, something no parent should ever have to experience.”
Furusa fled the area following the attack and drove to Manchester where he later handed himself in, telling officers ‘I stabbed my girlfriend and I think she’s dead.’
DCI Ashmore added:
“I am pleased that Furusa pleaded guilty so that Leigh-Anne’s friends and family did not have the ordeal of a trial. “Furusa launched a senseless and incredibly violent attack on Leigh-Anne, who suffered between 30-40 stab wounds.
“She was a young girl with her whole life ahead of her and Furusa took that away in an unprovoked, selfish and frenzied attack. His actions on that day have also robbed a family, Leigh-Anne’s partner and her friends, of a lifetime of memories.”
Following the attack, members of the public, who told police they heard screaming and shouting that morning, ran to help Leigh-Anne, fetching blankets and towels to try and stop the bleeding as they waited for the ambulance to arrive.I’d like to thank those who came to help Leigh-Anne and assisted until the ambulance arrived. They showed incredible compassion in their actions and I’d like to thank them for what they did, and for waiting with Leigh-Anne and her mother until the ambulance arrived.” – DCI Steve Ashmore
