MMM defies Nigerian parliament, EFCC and Central bank as it celebrates one year anniversary in style

mmm-678x381

In spite of the controversy and media clampdown orchestrated by the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigerian parliament, the money ponzi scheme popularly called MMM is waxing stronger as the promoters celebrated one year anniversary since the scheme started.

MMM Nigeria celebrated its one year anniversary in style by donating donated relief materials worth N5 million to two Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to a report by NAN, the gesture was part of the MMM Nigerian community’s humanitarian week tagged ‘MMM cares’ to mark its one year anniversary.
The Gwoza and Bama IDP Camp located in Durumi area and the New Kuchingoro IDP camp were the two beneficiaries of the relief materials.

Bags of rice, beans, garri, as well as cartoons of beverages and noodles, were some of the items donated by the group. The group also donated clothing, drugs, and educational materials for the pupils among them.

Mr Seyi Bello, a Guilder in the ‘MMM Community’ said the donation was motivated by the desire of the group to affect the society positively, especially the less-privileged.

“We are marking our first year anniversary and we have decided to come and celebrate it with our brothers, mothers and children in the camp.

“As a community, we do not only provide help to our members, we also extend that to the larger society as part of our social responsibility.

“In these times of economic challenges, the IDPs are the ones that need help and support more than any other person; that is why we visited them today,” he said.

Bello explained that besides providing help and donations to its members, humanitarian service was a flagship programme of the group.

He said that the relief items were bought from free-will donations of members in their quest to touch lives positively.

“The N5 million was raised from voluntary donations my members in the FCT.
“That is what defines us as a community of people providing financial help to each other on the principle of reciprocity and benevolence.

“In MMM there are no lenders and no debtors. One participant asks for help, another one helps.’’

Bello appealed to individuals, groups and corporate bodies to always remember the IDPs across Nigeria, since government alone would not be able to provide for them adequately.

“They are our brothers and sisters who have left the comfort of their homes and are now struggling for survival here.

“No matter how little, let us always extend a hand of help to them to complement what government and other donors are doing, “he urged.

Mr Enoch Yohanna, General Secretary of the IDP camp at New Kuchingoro, who received the items, expressed gratitude for the gesture which he described as `timely.’

“The Christmas season is very close; we thank MMM-Nigeria for bringing these items to us.

“We hope to share them satisfactorily among us for everybody to be happy and have a happy Christmas celebration,“ he said.

The visit to the IDPs camps was preceded by a two-hour environmental sanitation by members of the group on Nyanya/Mararaba route, a suburb of the FCT. Members of the group came out in their numbers to clear garbage from drainages and streets in the area.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has persistently warned Nigerians against investing their money in MMM. CBN sees MMM as a fraud and not lacking in credibility. The organization has folded up in some countries

Some people went to beg God to stop my U.S. election prophecy from coming to pass – TB Joshua

tb-joshua-nov-7-2016

Coming on the results of the just concluded United States Presidential Election which were announced on Monday, Nov 7, declaring Donald Trump as the winner, negative reactions has trailed Prophet TB Joshua over his prophecy were he stated that ‘a woman will win the US Presidential election’.

In a rather uncharacteristic reversal, the renowned Prophet today stated that the outcome of the election was a manifestation of the efficacy of prayers.

Prophet TB Joshua insisted that people who are conversant with the accuracy of his prophecies went into fervent prayers and begged God to reverse the prophecy to favor trump.

Further citing biblical reference where prayer altered a prophecy, Joshua likened Trump shock victory to the prophecy of Jonah to the people of Nineveh which said that God would destroy Nineveh within 40 days; but was eventually averted because the inhabitants of the city offered fervent prayers to God.

An email was read out to the congregation during the service where the author commended TB Joshua saying:

“Your word came and challenged us to pray.

“Thousands of people that heard my prophecy prayed to God, they fasted and prayed that God should change the prophecy.

That a prophecy is disclosed and it did not come to pass does not mean that it is not authentic.”

It was like the prophecy of Jonah when God told him that he would destroy the people of Nineveh. Thank you prophet, your word saved America, it was a warning, like the prophecy of Jonah when the people prayed, and God changed His mind.

Prophet, God hears your prayer. We prayed and fasted.”

Confirming the power of prayer in prophetic utterances, Joshua said,

“They know my antecedent that what I say always come to pass.

As a result, they went to God in prayer. This is the power of prayer; it is not a crime to tell you. If you have doubt, look at the track record of the person that is talking. I said that the boat will be rocked, and there will be challenges. What else do you need? Let’s believe in the power of prayer.

He added: “We have seen the outcome of the election in America. You will notice that it is all about the popular vote, the vote of the majority of Americans. In this case, we need the spirit of a prophet to recognize or to know a prophet.

Our levels are different. We are not on the same level. We might have great cathedrals, huge bells and all kinds of activities that are good by human standards; but human point of view is limited.

“God didn’t create earrings, so wearing it shouldn’t be limited to only females” – IK Ogbonna

ik-ogbonna-1

IK Ogbonna has defended his decision to wear earrings and get tattoos.

In an interview with Vanguardngr, when asked about the moral behind wearing earrings, he said:

Who invented earrings? God didn’t create earrings but girls are wearing earrings.

These are things that people created overtime and then it became a norm and then people accepted it. So someone shouldn’t just look at you and say “Oh you’re a man, you shouldn’t wear earring. If you feel comfortable wearing earring, wear earring and worship God.

If you feel comfortable having a tattoo, have a tattoo and worship God. There are people that don’t have tattoos on their body but they preach hate, they preach lots of hate.

So let people focus more on major primary issues instead, and not IK Ogbonna’s tattoos and earrings. I’m going to keep my tattoos and earrings for as long as possible. I might even give my son an earring to wear.”

Why I didn’t marry Pasuma – Ronke Odusanya

image

Background

I hail from Ogun State. I was born into a Christian home and I had a strict upbringing. Even though my parents separated, my childhood was fun and I have so many good memories. While my mum has yet to remarry, my dad remarried and I lived with him for some time.

Education
I attended St. Benedict Nursery & Primary School, Lagos, and Federal Government Girls’ College, Akure. Afterwards, I studied Mass Communication at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye.

Acting
I became interested in acting when I was at the university. As an undergraduate, I used to feature in plays that were staged in school. Professionally, I started acting about 16 years ago. I joined Nollywood and took part in some English movies. I joined Oga Bello’s Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group, in the year 2000, and that was where I honed my acting skills.

Movies
In 2001, I featured in my first Yoruba movie, Baba Ologba, alongside Adebayo Salami, aka Oga Bello, and Femi Adebayo. Since then, I have featured in several others and I have played lead roles in many movies as well.

Challenges
Life is full of challenges and I encountered so many obstacles when I started acting. Firstly, my father was not happy that I became an actress. When he discovered, he was very angry because he thought I would get a proper job. Besides, nobody in my father’s family had ever become an actress. Most of them were doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. My father and my stepmother did not support me and they tried to frustrate my ambition. At some point, he asked me to move out of his house if I was bent on becoming an actress. I went to live with my mum and even though she was not happy at what I had decided to do with my life, she did not fail to support me. Another challenge I faced was the poor remuneration. There were times when I was not even paid at all but I did not allow that to discourage me because of the passion I have for the job.

Nicknames
I have several nicknames. At the beginning of my career, I used to be known as Ronke AKO (Awada Kerikeri Organisation). I am also known as Becky, which was the character I played in Funke Akindele-Bello’s two-part movie, Jenifa. I think the nickname that has stuck with me is Flakky Ididowo. I got that pseudonym after I played Folake in a movie produced by someone I respect so much, Fathia Balogun.

Movie production
I am not only an actress, I am also a producer. I have produced several movies in the past and I just finished work on two movies. I like to make good films and that is why I don’t come out with movies every now and then. I am a professional and I know what a good movie should look like. I have set a standard for myself and I don’t want to disappoint my fans.

Physique
People say I have a provocative figure but I did not create myself. When I was younger, people used to taunt me and I would cry. Over time, I have come to love my body irrespective of whether I have unusually large breasts or buttocks. When I walk on the streets of Lagos, men look at me in a seductive manner but I don’t care as long as I am not indecently dressed. In fact, some people scream obscenities at me. Some call me Cowbell and I either laugh it off or just ignore them.

Fame
I do not care about fame. It has not changed who I am and it has not altered the way I relate with people be it my family, friends or fans. I am a very simple person and generally down-to-earth and forthright. To a large extent, I am an introvert and I like to spend a lot of time indoors. I rarely go out except it is very necessary.

Marriage
Being in the limelight has it disadvantages. One of the demerits of being in the limelight is that one finds it difficult to find true love. You can’t tell if that man or woman loves you for who you are or because you are a celebrity. I will get married when God says it is my time. My time has yet to come and that is why I am still single. Anyone who rushes into marriage will definitely rush out, so I am taking my time. Unlike it was speculated sometime ago, I have never been married.

Pasuma and I
Not all relationships lead to marriage and such was my relationship with Pasuma. Even though we are no longer dating, we are still good friends. The fact that we are both celebrities may have been responsible for our inability to get married. A lot of times, celebrity marriages don’t work out because both parties are in the limelight. This breeds a lot of distrust and problems in the marriage.

Style
I like simple, nice and classy wear. I also like traditional wear because I look good in them and they are super comfortable.

Pep Guardiola Forgives Yaya Toure, Starts Him For 1st Time This Season And He’s Scored Two Goals.

yaya-toure

English club, Manchester city’s head coach, Pep Guardiola has forgiven midfielder Yaya Toure as he was among the start up line in Saturday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace which they won after Toure scored twice to move Man City level at the top of the league.

This is the first time Toure is playing this season for Man City in the EPL after he was frozen out by Pep Guardiola following ‘insulting’ statements from Yaya’s agent.

Toure was told by Guardiola in September that he would not play for City again unless his agent Dmitry Seluk apologised for claiming Guardiola had “humiliated” his client by omitting him from the club’s 25-man Champions League squad.

Guardiola’s statements made Yaya Toure release a statement before the FIFA international break, apologizing for his agent’s statements and urging for forgiveness from the club.

“I am seriously searching for the man after my heart” – Kannywood actress, Maryam Musa

maryam-musa-1-208x3001

In an exclusive interview with Daily Sun which was conducted in Kano, 25-year-old popular Kannywood actress, Maryam Waziri Musa, has opened up about her passion for acting, plans for marriage and why she cannot play romantic roles in movies.

Below are excerpts from the chat;

How did your acting career begin?

It began immediately after graduation from University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). I was so passionate about acting I had to relocate from Gombe State where I grew up to Kano State. Fortunately, I met some producers who assisted me to find my feet in the Hausa movie industry. So far, I have featured in flicks like Muguwar Mace, Yan Zamani, Labarina, Ya Ko Kishiya, Yakin Mata, and Aminan Juna. However, back in Gombe, I had also acted in about three movies.

Which movie would you say brought you into the limelight?

Wow! They are Muguwar Mace and Yan Zamani.

Considering your Islamic background, how are you coping with the rules and regulations barring kissing, romance or even touching a man in a movie?

It is not just within the entertainment industry, the Islamic religion and Hausa tradition condemn it. As actresses, we are not allowed to sit close to a man who is not our husband, and since you are not married in real life, you don’t have to depict it in movies. Our religion forbids it. However, it makes the movies look fake because you cannot touch a man who is your husband in a movie, even when he is sick. Professionally, I feel bad. However, I don’t have any regret not touching a man or playing romantic roles because my Islamic faith is my priority.

Some of your counterparts are now featuring in English movies; do you have any plan to join them?

Though, we are not restricted as regards acting in English movies, I have issues considering the roles you are asked to depict. So, I don’t see myself playing such roles.

Who is the man after your heart?

No man for now, but I am seriously searching for the man after my heart.

It is a trend among Hausa ladies to wear artistic lilies on their bodies but you are not wearing any, why?

It is a tradition and a trend among our ladies. It makes us outstanding in any social gathering or wedding. I wear it especially on occasions or when I am playing the role of a bride in a movie. Meanwhile, I have lilies on my nails and a simple one on my hand.

“She called me a prostitute” – Bobrisky explains why he punched the lady in the eye

bobrisky-arrested-by-police-instagram

Nigeria’s Male Barbie Doll, Bobrisky has finally spoken up on why he attacked a lady yesterday.

Recall it was reported that the controversial king of Snapchat was arrested after assaulting a lady.

In a new audio shared on his social media, the popular crossdresser said he went to get his nails done at a Lagos mainland beauty shop. Inside, he met two ladies. While one was kind to him, the other was allegedly rude.

“She was ‘eyeing’ me for no reason,” he began. “I can’t go and accuse her for eyeing me. [But] the next minute, she brought out her phone and she was filming me while I was making my nails and I said, ‘hello madam, don’t film me‘.”

And that was when it all escalated.

Bobrisky is frequently barraged with homophobic and derogatory attacks from folks who troll him daily. But this is the first time he would physically engage with an alleged critic.

In his words, he said the lady cussed and described him using unkind terms.

“She said: ‘You are stupid, you are foolish, you this prostitute – what are you doing here?’,” he continued, adding that he warned her. “I said, ‘anymore insults from you, I will deal with you.’”

Well, she allegedly went in on him and he made do his promise by punching her in the eye. The lady then threatened to get ‘area boys’ to beat him up, but the police was invited. He got arrested but is back on his Snapchat.

Listen to his narration:

Harrysong dumps five star music, floats his own record label

five-star

Reggae Blues Singer, Harrysong has just dumped his record label – Five star music!

alter-0

This evening, Harrysong shared the logo above… Apparently, he didn’t say anything about the photo, other than a “Chop knucle” emoji..Now we’ve found out that the logo is for his own record label. He also added “Alter Plate” to his bio etcetera.

alter-01

Now the gist is, Harrysong still has a 2-year old contract with Five Star Music and trust 5star will definitely come for him… This of course will lead to another Celebrity/Entertainment fight. Ghen Ghen!

We don’t have all the details but according to someone in the know, Harrysong was unhappy with his contract and wanted out. Without informing Five Star, he started his own label.

A source close to the music label said he believes that the music label will take it up with Harrysong as they paid a lot of money to break his contract with his former music label, Kevin Luciano’s Question Mark Records before they could even sign him and they have spent a lot of money on him and he still has contractual agreements with them until 2018.

Harrysong doesn’t seem to care as he’s already launched his own label.

Atiku says Nigerian public university graduates are brainless, can’t compete with his secondary school students

ytr

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has described graduates of Nigerian public universities as brainless, saying they cannot communicate in English with the students of his private secondary school, the American University of Nigeria (AUN) Academy.

Abubakar, who spoke on Thursday evening in Yola during his birthday celebration organised by the management of AUN, said public universities graduates cannot fit into private industries due to their poor education and character.

“I was in the University of Zik in Akwa in Anambra State on Wednesday on the invitation of the university. There is no student in public universities that can speak English in an error-free manner like the head boy of my secondary, who just finished addressing us now.

“When the head boy of AUN Academy, Abdullahi Sani, started speaking, I was thinking it is one of the lecturers in AUN, but only for him to introduce himself as the head boy of AUN Academy,” he stated.

Atiku said his ambition to establish AUN was to ensure that Nigeria produced graduates of high quality, both in learning and character, at an affordable rate and avoid the stress of traveling to other countries in search of quality education.

He pointed out that only quality education could bring about technology development in any country in the world, not oil, gold or other mineral resources.

Atiku noted that a country that places emphasis on oil, instead of manpower development, is preparing to collapse, pointing out that quality education produces quality manpower that turns a country into a wealthy nation.

While addressing students of the Law Department, the former vice president restated that Nigeria would continue to move backward unless it is restructured to address the problems threatening its existing.

“When government set up the last constitutional conference, I sent my proposal to the conference and when the members received it, they all agree with the content and resolved to include it in their final report as part of their resolutions.

“If you’re a yoruba man and want to be successful, marry an Igbo woman” – Daddy freeze writes

freeze-coolfm-2

Multi-award winning popular Cool FM Lagos radio personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, also known as Daddy Freeze, has shared his advise to Yoruba men, saying if they want to be successful in life, they should marry Igbo women.

Below is how the popular outspoken OAP who is famed for showing off his lavish lifestyle on Instagram, shared his thoughts;

If you are Yoruba and you are male, and you want to be successful in life marry an Igbo woman. ~ Chiekezi Dozie.

I kinda agree…especially since I am Yoruba myself…From my ‘little’ experience, gathered during my university days and early bachelorhood and with body count on both sides, (before I gave my life to Christ), I can, through my own experience, say that Igbo girls are so much cleaner, more respectful, value marriage more, less argumentative and problematic, treat husbands better, are more beautiful, have sexier bodies, are more family oriented, cook better and are much more enterprising than Yoruba ladies.

Unfortunately, I have never dated a Hausa, Fulani, Efik or Kalabari woman so I can’t comment on those. But if I were to pick between Yoruba and Igbo women, Na Igbo all the way o! Igbo kwenu! ~FRZ

Ghana university student who leaked her own s.ex video confesses, explains why she did it (Photo)

wpid-nana-abena-korkor-addo-1

A student of the University of Cape Coast in Ghana whose s*x video went viral has revealed interesting details after the ordeal that nearly ruined her life.

Nana Abena Korkor Addo confessed to leaking her own s*x video on social media as she blamed her action on mental ailment.

According to Nana Abena, her bipolar disorder caused her to leak the explicit video showing her private parts on social media.

In a candid interview with Adom News’ Kofi Nkansah, on Friday, Nana Abena opened up on all that happened. Before the s*x video was released, Nana Abena was aspiring to be the SRC president.

The release of the s*x video crashed her dreams and nearly forced her to lose her life.

In the controversial video, the student was filmed stripping and dancing seductively in the presence of a female friend while revealing her private parts. The video generated a lot of controversy given the position she was vying for in school.

Many thought it was rather her competitors in the race for the SRC President position who might have leaked the video to thwart her chances of winning the election.

However, Nana Abena Korkor Addo shocked everyone when she admitted to posting the explicit video herself.

But years after the incident, the repentant lady said her action was due to her mental condition diagnosed by doctors at the Accra Psychiatric hospital.

According to Adom News Online, she noted that, through the positive encouragement from family, students and faculty at UCC while on admission, she has been able to recover.

Nana Abena who was then in her final year said she had to repeat because the condition adversely affected her academic performance.

She also appealed to young women not to ever attempt recording themselves when naked since “you might not know what would happen to it”.

To give back to society, the young lady recently launched her mental health campaign which is aimed at improving mechanisms which will allow students to seek mental health service in schools.

Nana Abena said she had established an organisation, Psycho Social Africa, with the view to highlight the importance of mental health and distress to create awareness and offer mental distress education to empower individuals struggling with such issues.

“Nigeria Is Too Poor & Can’t Win The World Cup” – Minister Of Sports

dalung

Attention President Muhammadu Buhari: This is what the man you appointed the general overseer of our sports told an international media organisation,Voice of America, Hausa Service: Nigeria does not need to attend the next World Cup holding in Russia.

The World Cup is not just a football competition. It also represents a bigger avenue for nations to showcase their football artistry to a global audience, with players getting to secure new and bumper contracts and endorsements, which in turn, impact positively on the country’’s Gross Domestic Product and Foreign Direct Investment. Football is business and the World Cup fetches money for all participants. It is top in entertainment and business. Qualifiers even earn more than $5m from Fifa.

Besides the Olympics, the World Cup is by far the single biggest sports competition in the world, drawing record crowd appearances and creating a never-seen like before football atmospheres for its one-month duration.
The road to the next World Cup in 2018 is on, with the Super Eagles are leading the proverbial group of death with six maximum points from two matches against Zambia and Algeria. Cameroon, the only African country with the most appearance at the World Cup make up the group, from which only the first-placed team qualifies for the event.

Having missed out on a place at the next Africa Cup of Nations, starting in January in Gabon, Nigeria desperately needs to play at the World Cup to make up for the lost chance to play at AFCON 2017 but bizarrely, the one who ought to be championing the cause of going to the World Cup is ridiculously the one kicking against it.

Minister of Sport and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung yesterday stunned all when he told the Voice of America that he was against Nigeria’s participation at the World Cup.

His reasons: “That competition stinks of corruption; that Nigeria is too poor to waste money on it and that Nigeria would never win the trophy”. The implication of his statement is also that it is not necessary to waste money qualifying when you cannot win the World Cup.

As shocking as these may be, Dalung, a lawyer by training, said Nigeria should be content with playing at the Nations Cup, Olympics, Commonwealth Games. He said that Nigeria could win the Nations Cup but not the World Cup. World Cup finalists are guaranteed huge sum of money running into millions.

According to Dalung, “The cup that we can win is the African Cup of Nations. There is nothing again that will take us to another man’s balcony in the name of the World Cup. We already have the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. For these, we can attend such meets. But I am opposed to the World Cup.

We don’t agree to it. Conspiracy in the World Cup is too much,” he said, a statement that could upset the world governing body, FIFA. He was not done.

“There is the issue of bribery and favouritism. There is also the issue of corruption before you are even given the hosting rights. We are here suffering from hunger and we don’t have money for such things. That is why, even if we try many times, once it gets into the politics of the game, we can never win.

“That was why this year, we had to tackle him (FIFA President, Ginani Infantino) and we said, ‘you , Infantino, if you win this election, you have to give us a position. If not, we shall not agree.’ And you see , by the grace of God, he even picked an African as his Secretary-General. That means he has started taking honey and rubbing on our lips. That means that one day, we shall get to really lick the honey.”

This is ridiculous and unbelievable. But they are the exact words of Sports Minister Dalung, a man, who has allegedly fanned the embers of discord, disunity and crisis in the Nigeria Football Federation.

It is recalled that Dalung was the unseen hand in the crisis of leadership, that rocked the NFF after Chris Giwa threatened to seize power from the Amaju Pinnick-led Executive Board.

Despite CAS and FIFA’s unambiguous backing of Pinnick’s board, Dalung called for a meeting between Pinnick and Giwa in his Abuja office, which snowballed into an all-out fight between both gladiators. As if that was not enough, the Minister has continuously asked the Amaju led board to co-opt Chris Giwa and his members into their board, ignoring the fact that membership of the board is through election. It has been from one dispute to another and Nigerian football has been in court.

Truly, football disputes are out of the jurisdiction of the ordinary law court as the Courts of Arbitration for Sports in Lausanne, Switzerland sits over all disputes in sports.

The minister’s latest comments confirm him as a total stranger to sports who has bluntly refused to learn the ropes.

Good news: Price of bag of rice crashes as Christmas nears

rce

Nigerians can now heave a sigh of relief after reports confirmed that the price of local rice in the country has crashed in some states across the federation.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quotes the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as saying the agricultural initiative ‘Anchor Borrowers Programme’ which the federal government launched recently, is responsible for the drastic change in prices.

Making this remark on Saturday, November 19 in Imo state was Mrs Nkechi Osuji, the head of CBN’s development financing department at a sensitisation workshop attended by local government representatives of small holder farmers, cooperative societies, youths and women groups drawn from the 27 local government areas of Imo.

According to her, a 50kg bag of local rice can now be bought for N13,000 in states where the scheme has been embraced. She also added that the more the states that join, the cheaper the products in the market.

The CBN representative also encouraged participants to take the programme seriously as it has the potential of providing over one thousand jobs for unemployed youths and graduates.

“Let there be no ghost farmers and unnecessary bureaucracy in the implementation of the programme in Imo. “If this programme is genuinely executed, a lot of jobs and wealth will be created in Imo,” she was quoted to have said.

“Ladies tell me they desire to kiss me and make love to me” – Emmanuel Ikubese talks life as an actor, relationship and more

emmas

Former Mr. Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese is living his dreams. He has been climbing the ladder of success daily with his acting prowess.

In an interview with KFB, he talks about his role in the movie, FIFTY, his plans for his pet project and how ladies often slide in the DM with funny request of kiss and sex….Enjoy

How has this year been for you?
I have been very busy, working and doing a lot of productions. It has been really great so far. I have also taken out time to do some of my personal projects involving my foundation. We have gone to several schools, taking out the messages against domestic violence and abuse. Some company endorsed me this year, so I’d be going to a lot of schools to do some stuffs for them. 2016, has been so awesome to me.

You always preach against domestic violence and abuse, do you have any personal experience?
Well, I have not but I have some university days based experience.

I have lots of friends who were killed during domestic violence. The more I get involved in spreading the message against such, the more I get personal with it.

I have met a lot of victims. When I see them in such a pitiable state, it gets to me so much that I just want to do more.

So far, have you been getting responses?
Yes, I have. But there’s still a lot of stigmatization that victims of domestic violence go through. Our campaign is trying to put an end to people keeping quite. We are encouraging them to speak out against all forms violence, be it rape, abuse, etc. We want them to come out and tell their stories.

Once they open up and tell their stories, what does your organization do next?
I partner with a lot of agencies that help. I create awareness and the agencies follow up on the victims who speak out. Because right now, I don’t have those funding to take responsibilities for victims. So, the agencies do the needful to the victims that need help.

Running such time consuming campaign and at same time shooting lots of movies on different locations, how do you cope?
I hasn’t been easy, I must tell you. But once there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s something that I am very passionate about, both my career and my pet project.

Talking about passion and career, how come you played such raunchy role in the movie 50?
(laughs). What about it? Well, that’s one thing about me. I always try to bring in depth in every character I play.

But lots of negative comments trailed your character in that movie, how did you deal with it?
Well, I know that based on our society, they would not receive it with smiling faces and that got me worried. But funnily enough, I didn’t really get the kind of backlash as I had expected. So people understood what we were trying to display. People didn’t criticize me as much as I had expected.

Don’t you think it has put a question mark on your reputable image?
No never! That’s not Emmanuel but a character in a movie, so it can’t dent my image. Anybody who knows Emmanuel knows that I am so far away from that character I played in 50.

Did your parents frown at it at all?
My parents understood that it was me playing a character and they were okay with it.

I look up to a lot Hollywood actors and one major thing I took from them is depth. The fact that my role in that movie got controversial, then I did it quite well. That’s my own judgment.

But can you ever date or marry an older woman?
No I can’t! It can’t even happen. I can’t do that.

Why, after all, they say age is just a number…
Well, personally, I don’t think love is about age, as long as two people understand themselves, love themselves and willing to be together, age shouldn’t be an obstacle. Once there’s love, respect and communication, then they are good to go. But personally, I don’t think I can do it. Maybe someone that I am older than with 2-3 years, that’s the much I can do. I’m not against those that marry younger lover that’s women or men that date older women; it’s all about choice after all.

After you showed off the sexy side of you on the roles you play, women running after you would increase in numbers, how do you deal with them?
I have always had admirers, even before the movie 50. I have always had my way of dealing with them. It doesn’t change anything.

What’s the worst thing a female fan has done to you?
I have lots of female fans, jump up to me and give me a kiss right in the public. And I was like…’Ok…Ok’. But I just can’t embarrass them because they simply love me for what I do.

Do they also slide into your DMs to admire and probably send nude pictures?
Of course, I do get that a lot. But not nude pictures though. I don’t think any female fan in her right senses would want to send me a nude picture. I know they do send though, but not to people like me. My image is not that corrupt for someone to try such.

But you often post bare-chest photos on social media, maybe would work as a signal to them.don’t you think so?
Yes, I do, but I don’t do it for anybody in particular. It’s all about me.

Ladies slide to my DMs to tell me how much they love me, how they desire to kiss me and make love to me, but not sending nude pictures.

How about guys? Do they also slide into your DM to profess their love?
Yes they do! But I don’t encourage them to pass their boundaries.

Are you in a relationship right now?
Yes, I’m. In a very happy one.

So what’s your idea of love?

Love is that thing that you feel towards someone that makes him or her become family.

“I wasn’t detained in the US because of my boobs” – Cossy Ojiakor

alibaba-cossy

Heavily Endowed Cossy Orjiakor has debunked renowned stand-up comedian, Ali Baba’s viral story that said she was detained at an airport for over two hours because of her breast.

Recall the below is what Alibaba posted:

“So @cossyojiakor and I were on the same flight to the USA last month… I had crossed Immigration and even checked in and realized she had not called to say she had checked in… Called later and found out they held her back at the airport for two hours. Why? I asked her. She said they said something about “No dairy products allowed”… Still don’t get it.”

Well, Punch reached out to the voluptuous young lady via her spokesperson, and he said Cossy saw the post and laughed about it. The story didn’t happen and Alibaba was only joking.

“When she saw the post she laughed because she knew that Alibaba was only joking and she does not take things like that to heart. Most times when she reads things about herself in the media, she only laughs.

The only time she took offence to a write-up was when she was accused of bestiality but that is in the past. She knows Alibaba was only joking and you can call Alibaba to confirm,” he said.
