First son of music icon, 2Baba, Nino Idibia proudly showed off his trumpet playing skills during his stepdad, Pastor David Adeoye’s church’s programme over the weekend.
Such a talented young man he is… another photo below:
Writer and media personality, Ese Walter-Ark, has shared quite a heartbreaking story on her Facebook page on how she was once a victim of domestic violence as a result of her naivety.
She wrote below:
I was 18 years old the first time a guy hit me. He was my first real boyfriend and he always told me it was my fault he hit me.
He lied a lot to me and hated confrontations. He suspected me every time of trying to leave him and date someone else. He wanted to know if I loved him more than my best friend. He had a temper so sometimes one loose statement could earn me a slap. Then there are times he was high from drinking a whole bottle of benylyn, I had to watch my tongue and steps else I’d smell my arse.
The first time he hit me he hurt my eye. He had this ring on and kept slapping me with his back and fore hand. I thought he spoilt something in the eye. I started seeing lights from the corner of my eye. Even when it was a completely dark room I’d see lights flash from the corner of my eye. Because he didn’t let me go to the school hospital for fear that he might be expelled I managed the situation until one day it stopped.
Many months after University I had that flash by the corner of my eye experience and fear gripped me. We had not spoken to each other in a long time but the incident reminded me of the fear I had to endure through that relationship. I was suddenly that teenager who was frightened of the person she was supposed to be loving.
I never involved myself in domestic violence talks. The pain was too raw and it always came rushing in anytime I heard a woman was beaten by the one who was supposed to love her.
I watched the movie “Diary of a mad black woman” about 50 times because finally this woman was getting back at her man for beating her. The first time I watched the movie I almost entered the computer. I was so mad to see the first scene where he was beating her.
Today I was having a bath and I had that same flash at the corner of my eye. I paused for a few minutes and noticed I didn’t have anger bubble up in my belly for him. The only thought I had was, “I should probably check this eye out with an optometrist”
I realised I have released those old feelings and hurt. I have forgiven the teenager for not knowing better and I have given up any hopes that the past could have been different. I think I also see how that served me. All my years of dating, even when I wasn’t sure what my ‘spec’ was or if I liked someone enough, any sign of beating or violence was the end of the relationship. Not because I was scared someone could hurt me again but because I knew I was going to kill anyone who lay a hand on me and I didn’t have plans of spending my life in jail.
It feels now like I am talking about another person when I think of the beatings my teenage self received. I probably am.
If you are reading this and are currently experiencing violence in your relationship please don’t ask me what to do. I am not born again, my advice will definitely put you in jail.

Calvin Mbane Alfayo also known as Mohamed Alfayo, the “psychotic” Kenyan man who took to his Facebook page to gloat and show off photos of the 10 year old girl he slept with in the bush has been arrested. (Read here if you missed it)
The unrepentant pedophile was apprehended on Tuesday, and is currently at the Sotik Police station. Sotik officer, Jonathan Ngala told The Star on Tuesday that officers were still interrogating Alfayo.
This, he said is to find out if Alfayo is the one who posted the images on his account or if his account was hacked before charging him.
Ngala said they are still trying to locate the whereabouts of the minor. Meanwhile, Kenyans have lauded the police for acting swiftly, saying this should serve as a warning to other sex predators who think they will get away with their heinous acts because they are related powerful personalities in Kenya.
The officers have also urged anyone who may have been abused by Alfayo to report to Bomet or Sotik Police stations to serve as witnesses against him.
Former child star, Benita Okogie in a recent interview with Nneka Nwaneri, talks about marriage and also lack of sponsors of good music in the industry which has made a lot of good music die.
Read below:
It’s been three years since you graduated any marriage prospects?
When it is the right time, I will marry my own because marriage is something you shouldn’t rush into. It is a life time thing. You need the leading of the Holy Spirit and if you rush into it, you will rush out. So, I am taking my time to listen to the voice of God, so that I will get married at the right time to the right person.
When will that be?
It could be this year or next year. Continue…
Who is your ideal man?
What kind of man does not count at this point now because I am already in a relationship? Of course he would have possessed the qualities I wanted for me to have chosen him and be a relationship with him. Above all, it is God who chooses people for us, and more importantly, I want a man that loves God and believes in my ministry.
Should fans expect you back on the scene?
The music industry has changed a lot from when I started. It has evolved and there are a lot of not so pleasant things happening there. So I am not in a hurry to come back. I’m working on some albums and by God’s grace, before the end of the year, I will release something. There have been challenges but I’m thankful because there are people who believe in what I do, despite the fact that I started young. I have not rested on my oars.
What is your take about the Nigerian music industry?
Funding is a major factor for the industry. But sectors rather sponsor secular artistes whose messages are nothing to write home about. They should support those whose music are positive and promote good morals and a lot to offer.
What do you do apart from ministering with songs?
I talk to young people, encouraging them to follow their passion because I started as a young person. I’m a motivational speaker and I have other pet projects that help children find their talents.
What was it like in the university?
My first year was a bit rough because I had a lot of young people like myself who because I was in the limelight had misconceived ideas about me. In the second year, I gained more friends and mixed with people more and because I was leaving my parents for the first time, I changed my perspective of life.
What do you miss about your childhood?
I miss the innocence of my being a child who can get away with a lot of mischief. It also reminds me that now that I am older, a lot more is expected of me to impact the society.

Kaduna born actress Rahama Sadau, 22 has apologized to those that have felt offended in any way over her appearance in a music video by rapper Classiq titled I Love You.

Rahama’s ordeal has gained international attention and the story is now on international website such as Daily Mail.
The Scene from the video that got her suspended.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the actress apologized. According to her she was carrying out her job. Read her statement in full below:
Following the events of the last few days and MOPPAN’s unilateral decision to exclude me from the Hausa indigenous film industry, known as Kannywood, I would like to use this medium to address my fans, friends, those who have been affected and all who have shown concern.
To those who I have offended in any way, shape or form and who I have caused any anxiety by featuring in the said music video, I sincerely apologise. It was a job and I was carrying out my role in my profession, as I would in any other production, be it a Hausa language film or a Nollywood production.
However, innocuous touching with other people in my line of work is inevitable. I have lines that I would never cross and indeed I live and stand by the tenets, “actions are judged according to intentions”. The outcome of the events that have taken place has come as a surprise to us all. I may have fallen short of some people’s expectations, but it was never my intention. I make no excuses for my actions and I take full responsibility.
Thank you to all those who have reached out at this time and to everyone in general for your unwavering support. Your passion and loyalty hasn’t gone unnoticed and I am privileged to have your support.
This, I do not take for granted and I want nothing more than to continue making you all proud. I implore us all to be more tolerant and forgiving towards one another and to cease all the senseless abuse, name-calling and backbiting. This achieves nothing other than to cause a huge divide amongst us.
May we all continue to benefit from the Almighty’s mercy and may He protect and guide us all as we go about our daily lives.

Controversial social media personality, Kemi Olunloyo, has come out to slam Nigerian alleged retired rapper, Eldee, for purportedly promoting rape.
This is after the rapper lashed out at international celebrity socialite, Amber Rose, on her annual ‘Slut Walk’ event. The ‘Slut Walk’ is a transnational movement of protest marches calling for an end to rape culture. Specifically, participants protest against explaining or excusing rape by referring to any aspect of a woman’s appearance.
El Dee took to his Twitter handle few days ago to blast Amber Rose, saying:
“I’m upset because there is a deliberate effort by the media to poison the minds of our daughters. Amber Rose is a hoe.
“This is not a media event. It’s an awareness event. For someone that lives in the USA, ignorance does not excuse stupidity in researching something that originated in Canada and gone global.”
Responding to his comment, the controversial social media personality described Eldee as an illiterate who has not researched ‘Slut Walk’.
In a press release signed by her publicist David Perez, she said;
“Research! U are on the Internet. Stop promoting RAPE in #Nigeria. This #moron Nigerian rapper is bashing Amber Rose on #slutwalk. He needs to be skooled! Research things before posting. #SlutWalk started in #Canada when I was there.
It is a protest against raping women due to what they wore. Sexy mini clothes don’t warrant rape. U are a freaking nonentity who claims to be protecting his daughters and yet called Amber Rose a “hoe” dumbass fool.
There are males waiting to call your daughters hoes later in life. It’s dumbasses like U who haven’t let the gender equality pass.
Your post was full of crap. Who cares if your daughters don’t follow Amber? Serena, Simone, Lupita as you mentioned all condemn rape!
No positive role model endorses rape. Know the meaning of slut walk. You need to apologize to all Nigerian women. I am a feminist and won’t stand for rappers who need attention by calling women hoes and not even researching #slutwalk then he goes on and blames the media.
Rape is not a word you just use recklessly she stated. In Nigeria, some fathers do rape their underage children, women are raped and even elderly women have been raped,” the statement added.
Lol… A lady with zero chills was caught on camera running down two cyclists, obviously on purpose, just because one of them gave her the middle finger.
A CCTV from the Russian city of Irkutsk captures the driver of a white Hyundai swerving across the road, hitting one cyclist on their side and ploughing straight into another.
The first cyclist, wearing a yellow cap, approaches the car as the driver, named by local media as 32-year-old Olga Khartoniuk, gets out with another passenger.
He is then approached by a shaven-headed man, said to be Khartoniuk’s boyfriend, who throws a punch at his head followed by a karate kick.
The cyclist appears to argue with the boyfriend before he walks away and the Hyundai drives off. The incident happened on Karl Marx Street, a long boulevard which runs through the centre of Irkutsk.
The proud new father took to his social media page to share a poetic detail on the birth of his new born, daughter Aviella who was brought to the world few days ago.
He shared the above photo with the caption:
“And like the moon watchers,
We counted days,
But the sovereignty of God was displayed,
He smiled as we waited,
With His plans yet, unrevealed.
In the womb, the baby kicks,
Every movement, her mother’s pain and joy.
To an elated father, the days seem slow,
But for God, His speed counts.
My mouth constantly in prayers,
Then, I remembered Judas and Peter,
Their differences, Jesus prayed for one,
And I asked He prayed for my daughter.
He alone knows much and what she needs.
Like the sweetness of honey,
On the FRIDAY, 30TH SEPTEMBER, 2016,
OUR PRINCESS’ ARRIVAL was announced.
On a unique day, at exactly 9 years after I met her mother as our marriage counted 5 years and 9 months on the 9th Month of the Year.
Pains of years past, He wiped away with a flash.
Joy rushes and gushes my entire being.
She came earlier than expected, but on God’s chosen date.
Bless the Lord o my soul and in His faithfully shall I be assured.

A Facebook page, which shared the video, is in total disbelief of the situation though – you can hear the Yoruba people apparently, chanting “Allahu Akbar” after the about to be slaughtered Chicken crows for its life.
The Facebook page wrote:
Come and see sontin (something). Here are some Nigerian black African Arab wannabes who said a cock started shouting Allah Akbar in Arabic when they wanted to slaughter it.
They say that the cock cannot be eaten as that will mean eating God. No, listen to what they said yourself, I did not make it up. (video is below).
You see why Africa cannot have sense? So the millions of hens slaughtered all the time by KFC, Chicken Republic and even bukas all over the world, none of them could also
shout Buddha, Orunmila or Jesus so they can be saved right? You sef imagine a cock shouting Orunmila gba mi, maje kojutimi (Orunmila save me, don’t let me be disgraced). What has stopped the goats from yelling Jehovah before they are used for asun in Ikorodu or isiewu in Aba? Why is the cock not screaming in Ijebu dialect?
Simple answer: these black African Arab wannabes have been brainwashed to believe that Arabic is the language of God and it is not their fault really. I truly understand their predicament but they should not come here to tell me crap (you know yourself).
Can you imagine the number of hens that will be speaking in Ekiti dialect on a daily basis in Ado Ekiti if we bother to listen to them? Or Yoruba is not as divine as Arabic shey? Let us even assume that hot water burnt the throat of the poor cock and it was screaming ‘Allah’, how is that supposed to be a divine sign? Is that the cure for sickle cell anaemia or the solution to our recession?
Of what significance or utilitarian value is such a ‘miracle’?. This is why Africa does not have sense really. Gullibility and the laziness to use our brains. Today, scientists are on the edge of getting a permanent cure for HIV/AIDS but see what your family members are doing?

The Kenyan man in the photo above is identified as Calvin Mbane Alfayo, a “psychotic” being who took to his Facebook page to brag and show off photos of a minor he slept with in the bush.
Alfayo shared photos of himself and the girl lying in a bush, stating that he had just defiled the girl and told his followers to take love instead of waiting to be loved.
In one photo, Alfayo asks the girl to lift her top as he takes a photo of her. Social media users, enraged by the sick show on Facebook, called for his immediate arrest.
He has now been identified as the son of a local Member of the County Assembly (MCA). One of the most disconcerting bits of information about the man is that he is a former administration police officer who was fired over cases of indiscipline.
Top notch Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth lost his mother last night, 3rd of October, 2016 – the comedian, shared the news on his social media account moments ago.
He wrote:
“Last night my angel left me, my first love stopped breathing and it’s the deepest pain I’ve ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man I am today, I’ve loved you through the tough times. I’ve loved you through happier days and all I can say at this point is that I will love you forever. I will miss you mummy.”
Couple of years back when singer cum Nollywood actress, Adokiye Kyrian confessed to Potpourri that she was still a virgin at 23, the entertainment world welcomed the news with a mixture of shock and disbelief.
To some, it was simply a gag to gain attention and probably win some hearts.
Two years after, the s’exy diva says she’s still as good down below as the first day she came to this earth.
Whether being a virgin is a thing of pride or not in this fast and furious world of quick fix, it does appear Adokiye is not having quite a ball as many have been grinding her and asking questions about her se’xuality.
According to her, she receives jabs on daily basis, with some telling her she should come clean on her se’xuality and tell the world she’s gay rather than claiming she’s a virgin.
For the Grace crooner, who has just released a collabo with Oritefemi titled Jombolo, the jabs are beginning to leave a mark onher pride and her person and thus has decided to leave a line for the haters
“ A lot of people are tagging me gay. I don’t blame them. It’s not easy to find a beautiful girl who’s still a virgin, especially in this tough period. The truth is, I love men, I adore them, I cherish them and got so much respect for them but my problem is, I haven’t found that somebody yet, to give my body and heart to. It doesn’t mean I am a lesbian or gay or what not.”
Recall that the singer once said she’s willing to give her heart to the first man that can buy her mum a private jet she promised her, but now she seems to have reduced the price as she has said the type of man she wants must be “a responsible man, someone that would respect me and be God-fearing.”
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a 47-year-old man, who attempted to export 270 grammes of cocaine to Madagascar.
The suspect, Odili Onyekwere, was nabbed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, during the outward screening of passengers on a Kenyan Airways flight to Ivato International Airport, Antananarivo, Madagascar.
The NDLEA Commander at the Lagos Airport, Ahmadu Garba, said:
s“This is the first arrest and seizure in the year of a passenger heading to Madagascar from this airport. The suspect, Odili Onyekwere, successfully excreted 25 wraps of cocaine, which he ingested, while under close observation.
“He is cooperating with our team of investigators and the case will soon be charged to court.”
During interrogation, the Rivers State-born suspect said he went into drug trafficking out of frustration. The father of two, who trades in foot wear in Lome, Togo, said:
s“I am married with two children and I sell shoes in Lome, Togo. As a result of the economic downturn, my capital kept depreciating until I lost everything. It was the frustration of not being able to provide for my wife and two children that made me go into smuggling of cocaine.
It is my first time. They promised to pay me $1,000, which is over N400,000, going by the present exchange rate.”
Commenting on the arrest, the Chairman/Chief Executive of the agency, Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah, said with the use of latest technology in drug control, the agency would continue to disappoint those hoping to get rich quick from drug trafficking.
Six suspected members of the kidnapper gang that abducted the wife of the Central Bank Governor, Margaret Emefiele, last Thursday have reportedly been arrested.
The suspects were arrested at their hideout in Edo State over the weekend, and are being held at the state command headquarters, Benin.
Sources told Punch on Monday that the suspects were apprehended by the operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Special Monitoring and Intelligence Team, led by CSP Abba Kyari.
The brave and gallant police officer Abba Kyari led the operation to rescue the abducted school girls in Lagos. He also led the team that rescued the mother of the former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, who was abducted in Delta State in 2012 and the arrest of notorious South West armed robber, ‘Godogodo.’
This brings to seven the number of suspects arrested in connection with Mrs.Emefiele’s abduction, which occurred along the Benin-Agbor Road.
The gang had demanded N100m ransom, but they were forced to release their victims following pressures from the police, army and Department of State Services.
It could not be confirmed if any ransom was paid, but the hostages were released early Saturday morning, while the security agencies arrested one suspect shortly afterwards.

A distraught Nigerian husband has shared how his discontented wife of more that four years, absconded with their two kids because she could no longer cope with their lifestyle after he lost his job…
Revealing that he misses his two kids, he wrote:
sMy wife absconded with our kids (2 boys). We’ve been married for 4years plus. I did everything a good husband would do to please his wife, but she never satisfied.
Before we got married, I’ve a good job and she knew my worth, after marriage things isn’t as rosy and it used to be, I lost my job and I was able to get one after 2 months but the salary is 120k excluding other freelance jobs I do online.
We’re unable to save. We spent most of the money on food stuffs, I hate seeing her hungry. She called me one faithful night and reminds me of the premises I made before
we got married about the car and supermarket I promised her (I can’t remembered making such promises), but I still encourage her to be patient with me, that things gonna be fine.
She never supported me as she’s not working. I remember I gave her 450k to start a business; she was pregnant at the time so she rejected the money because of her condition. I added some money and I bought a car, I needed the car to hustle for contracts, I cant be jumping from okada to marwa, nobody gonna take you serious.
A month later, I got a printing contract from one of the best companies in Lagos, the condition is to use your money for the contract so I sold the car to print the job, I bought a machine unfortunately the machine packedup, i lost the gain and money for the car but I was able to delivered the job more that expectation but I lost huge amount of money. She always complaining ever since, when I tried to encourage her that things will be fine she will ask me ‘when’.
She treats my kids as if she wasn’t the one that brought them to this world, she always using negative words for those kids, I later realized she doesn’t love me, if she love me, she’ll equally love my kids.
4 months ago, she went to visit my younger sister in osogbo, she saw the way my sister’s business was moving fine, she fall inlove with osogbo, she sent a message thus ‘dear, guess I am in love with Oshogbo is peaceful and cool’.
When she came back to Lagos, she said she wanted us to move to osogbo, after much persuasion and consideration I succumbed. We moved to osogbo, I spent more than 300k. 2 weeks later, she started complaining that osogbo is boring. I was so mad. I had to risk my life travelling from osogbo to Lagos almost every week.
On the 16th of September (a day after I celebrated our last born birthday) she left for Lagos for her sister’s wedding, I gave her 12k for tfair and other expenses. I called her a week later to remind her that our first son gonna resume school the following Monday, that’s when she said she’s no longer interested in the marriage, that I should move on.
I called her mother, she said I should come see her but my family stopped me, since we never had a fight and I was not the one that sent her packing that she should be the one to come.
I’m missing my kids, they’re my life, I don’t know what to do.
Little Pamela turned one recently and her folks went all out to celebrate their little angel – you see the miniature Mercedes Benz car she got as a birthday gift yeah?!
An overnight attack by some gunmen on a police post in central Benue State has left at least four police officers who were on duty, dead.
Witnesses told PREMIUM TIMES the yet-to-be-identified gunmen stormed the police divisional headquarters in Igumale, the headquarters of Ado Local Government Area, shortly after midnight on October 2, killing all the four officers on duty.
The attackers also carted away the guns and ammunition of the officers.
Ajibo Ochulayi, a community leader in the agrarian town, told the publication that while two officers died on the spot, two others later passed on in a medical centre in Makurdi, the state capital.
s“It is sad that the gunmen were able to overpower the policemen and killed all the four of them with little resistance,” Mr. Ochulayi said.
He said the state’s police commissioner, Bashir Makama, visited the scene on Sunday afternoon with a few mobile police officers to assess the aftermath.
Police have only launched a manhunt for the assailants, and no one has been identified on the motive of the attack. The publication also added that their efforts to reach the police spokespersons for the latest on the attack were unsuccessful.
