They just keep subtly displaying their affection for each other in public and it makes us wonder, what have they got to lose if they made their relationship official? Really, what have they got to lose?!
The Afro-Singer shared this lovely photo of the female singer on his Twitter and the love between is seeming undeniable! Just make it official y’all! Pfft!
As the economic recession bites harder more and more Nigerians have began showing off their skills.
A Nigerian woman, Nwabueze Eucharia has become an internet sensation after revealing that she now has painting, tiling, interior decorator (curtain fixing), emulsion and textcoating in the list of her skills which she’s using now to generate income considering the state of the nation.
The girl who is a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in Anambra State just completed her National Youth Service year and decided to put her skills into good use considering how hard it is to get a well paying white collar job.
And it’s ANOTHER ONE for the influential “Olivia Pope“! Beautiful “Scandal” lead actress, Kery Washington has welcomed a bouncing new baby boy with her US based Nigerian husband, Nnamdi Asomugha.
The bouncing baby boy is the second child to the couple – Caleb Kelechi Asomugha was welcomed on Wednesday, Oct. 5, according to E! News.
The infant joins big sister Isabelle Amarachi, 2.
Washington and former San Francisco 49ers cornerback, Asomugha were married in July 2013, and announced their second child was on the way in April.
Delta state born beautician and skincare expert, Pela Tonye Okiemute has just given finishing touches to his multi million naira mansion somewhere in Lagos Island.
Few days ago, new broke that Nollywood actress Uche Elendu’s husband had gifted his alleged mistress, former beauty queen, Sandra Chichi Ekwosiobi, a 2016.
Their relationship was brought to fore after the beauty queen posted pictures of a brand new Mercedes Benz GL 2016, she claims was gifted to her by her lover who was finally revealed to be the actress’ husband, Prince Nku Igweanyiba.
The actress who got married to her husband 8 years recently bore her second child another baby girl two months ago in US reacted to the story saying,
“There’s a popular saying that ‘It’s in a man’s DNA to cheat’.
Most times, without reason or with the slightest excuse, men take the plunge. It’s typical for most men to stop by at bars after work to have a drink with the ‘boys’.
From there, most times, they end up on another woman’s bed before heading home to their wives.”
Surely, there is no permanent friend or permanent enemy. This is definitely the meaning of the action star actress, Funke Akindele displayed on Femi Adebayo’s wedding to his new wife, Omotayo Sanusi.
If you are a good fan of Nollywood, you don’t need to be told about the story of Femi and Funke, but in case you don’t know, Funke used to be very close, not just to Femi but to the entire Adebayo’s family in the industry.
The talented and seasoned actors were romantically linked and they both denied it on different occasions.
The first marriage of Femi to Khadijat which crumbled 8 years ago was said to have happened as a result of Khadijat suspecting Funke to be keeping a secret romance with the star boy.
Thereafter, they both went their ways separate and doing well in their chosen career.
Though, Funke also remarried to her musician lover, JJC in London not too long, just as Femi also revisited marital vow recently where all the big players in the Yoruba and English speaking movie industry trooped out to witness.
The greatest shock to their fans was the fact that the Jenifa’s star shunned the party, and this became a general discussion among the guests.
Yoruba Movie Gist reports that, rather than going to a garden where her colleagues were, the Ikorodu-born Nollywood star was spotted at a comedy show in Lagos precisely at the Naija FM Comedy Jam Awards 2016, held at the Muson Centre, Lagos same day.
Sony Music Entertainment artiste, Davido still has faith in Nigeria and her president Muhammadu Buhari.
The 23-year-old father of one, who just dropped his 3rd album “Son of Mercy”, is the cover star of ThisDay Style latest publication where he spoke about his thoughts on the Buhari administration.
“I believe the country is going through a lot of reforms at the moment. I certainly don’t believe that two years is enough time to fix Nigeria considering all we have being through. All President Buhari needs is a lot of time, dedication and most importantly, support from the people and God willing he will succeed in making Nigeria great again,” Davido said.
This comes in light of the recession and recent comments about his wife belonging in the kitchen and the other room.
Davido also disclosed that he is not in a mood for a romantic relationship, stating that he is currently just playing around.
The ‘Dami duro’ crooner revealed this in an interview with The Beat FM on Friday, October 14, 2016.
“I don’t have a girlfriend. Right now, I’m all over the place, I don’t think am ready for a relationship. I don’t know where I will be in 10 years, but I know I’ll be chilling,” he siad.
Last week, Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna revealed that he was offered N20m by a desperate childless woman to donate his sperm, but he rejected the offer.
Well, his colleague, Uti Nwachukwu in a recent interview has agreed to sell his sperm for same amount if the need arises.

So What Has Uti Been Up to Lately?
Oh, what have I not been up to? I’ve been hosting events, walking runways both home and abroad. I’m preparing to start shooting more movies both home and abroad not Hollywood but African productions. It’s not the best of years but it’s been a very good year for me.
So the recession is not hitting you?
I’m not going to lie. I won’t say I’m getting more than what I got last year but I’ve been getting way enough to sustain my lifestyle since I’m not frivolous and can live a comfortable to pay my bills and live a happy and comfortable life.
As a fashion icon, do you intend flagging off a fashion brand?
I’ve always been looking forward to pushing my own label but for now, I’d rather partner with a designer to release an Uti inspired line. To be honest, I am extremely afraid of starting my own business in Nigeria.
I’d rather partner with someone than start my own. Respect to those who have run successful small businesses in Nigeria because all the factors are against you from power to the labour force and having dedicated people to run your business like their own.
I do a lot of things in entertainment and combining all that will be difficult. I’m not ready to give up doing what I enjoy doing to run a business. I am more of a performer than a businessman and once I can get people trustworthy enough to run my business and I’m sure I’ll be getting a good return on investment, I will. I can’t handle my own business right now.
Since you model how much money will make you go nude for a shoot?
That’s not my brand.
Even for a Billion Naira?
Honestly if I have to do that, it will be the kind of money to put me in a position where I don’t have to lift a finger again. If its a billion dollars, obviously… No thinking of it, there’s something sacred about my nudity. Even at big brother when they showered naked, I never showered naked. I always had my boxers on. If my nudity is brought out to the public, it’ll definitely be against my will or a situation where I was tricked.
Back nudity, yes, everyone has bum bum nau. As a man, the only thing you can hold sacred is your penis so if everyone sees your penis, there’s no sacred thing you can hold unto.
That’s see finish and I’m not comfortable with that. Even with that $1B. In the future, you’re going to have kids in the future.
We have to preserve our sense of decency and conservation. I’m not judgmental, won’t judge anyone but I want to have something that will leave people guessing. The only person that should see my penis is who I’m sleeping with.
Talking about that, who are you sleeping with at the moment?
(laughs) Really, that’s like me asking you did you shave or how big is your.. I don’t kiss and tell.
Everyone is asking when Uti will get married.
Really? They are just wasting their time. They attach importance to cultural issues. I’m pro marriage. One of my most popular articles was on marriage. It went viral. With the response from that article I can tell that many people are under pressure to get married. It’s not an obligation. Even churches make it seem like without marriage, you are a failure. That’s why they are a lot of unhappy couples.
If I do marry, it will be because I woke up and met an amazing person and said I can spend the rest of my life with this person. Marriage shouldn’t be dependent on age or societal expectations just like the way you don’t care how I ate this morning. Everyone has a right of free will. If I meet someone that makes me complete inside, I will marry.
I ask God, if you have a wife for me, divinely connect me. Give me that confirmation in my heart. Until then, I am not even bothered. I don’t do things when others are doing things. I graduated in 2009 my mates graduated 2003 at the end of the day in 2010, I made x2 of all the money they had been saving over the years while I was trying to still trying to find myself. If you compare yourself to others, you will miss the road God has paved for you.
Are Your Parents In Support Of This?
I come from a family of 2 boys and 4 girls and my parents never put pressure on us. All my sisters married over the age of 30 only one married before 30. I am single and I have one other single sister.
My married sisters have given birth and they are all 30. I am the last born in my family. My dad never said you must marry and my mums never said give me my grandchild before I get old.
No pressure from my family, pressure I receive is from other people which I don’t tolerate.
I analyze a few married friends and see that they are not happy. 80% of married people are not happy. If you are happily married, you will not be concerned about other people’s status.
What’s your relationship with Timi Dakolo? Recall that the marriage thing caused a stir between the both of you on Instagram.
Timi is my friend. If you go through me and Bryan’s timeline, we are constantly insulting each other and laughing about it. I and Beverly Naya have that kind of relationship. I am not a sweet sugar coating kind of guy. We insult each other on phone it doesn’t mean we hate eachother. It’s the same thing with Timi. All of that was just online drama. It’s just yabbing. Timi is my guy anytime any day. I’m sure he will laugh if he reads this.
When was the last time you took a lady out on a proper date?
That was at the AFW in London where I met a very interesting Nigerian based girl. It was a bit awkward where we met. We met where I’d not be interested in seeing her again but there was something very special about her. I’m not saying we’re dating but I just decided to have a proper sit down and eat and we genuinely talked and got to know each other. It was fun, I felt like I was 21 again.
After the date what happened?
Distance sucks. I am not a good long distance person, once or twice, we keep in touch but the relationship will suffer.
Are you implying you’re in a long distance relationship?
No no! Just like I said, it will suffer; we are keeping in touch and want to see where this goes. We talked for one hour last night.
Could she be the one?
We have not even spent up to two weeks physically together. There’s a difference between talking to one over the phone and being together. I get frustrated with people. I am not a control freak but I like things to be done in a way that is not too inconveniencing for me.
What is your vice?
I have a little OCD (obsessed compulsive disorder), I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I have a little patience issues with people. It is a lot better now. I don’t tolerate inconsiderate people. At times, sharing my space with someone, I’m not selfish I just like things doing in a way I’m comfortable with.
Do you have any intention to go into Movie Production?
Ummh, when it’s right, am not one of those people that will delve into movie production without proper funding. I want to go into it at the right time to direct and produce well respected movies like Obi Emelonye, and Stephanie Okereke, who did a great job in her movie ‘Dry’.
I have not been known for Mediocrity, so going into producing will be at the right time to produce a movie with Perfect writing, Perfect scripts, Perfect directing, Perfect locations and nice costumes.
Ever since you started hosting, who is the most difficult partner you have worked with?
Well, I think about two or three persons, not necessarily they were boring but slow. But in terms of clash, the only person I have clashed with is Helen Paul on Jara.
Our personalities are a bit different, when we first started working, early 2011/12, we used to clash not a lot but maybe once a Month and later on we apologise, laugh over it and move on.
Some days, we clash on set, in-between tapes and when the Camera comes up on us, we are like ‘Welcome back to the Jara Show’.
Currently, Helen is the best presenter to work with because every time we get to work together, off Jara set, is actually a blessing and exciting to me. I think she’s one of the best things that have happened to my career and I love her so much, she’s like the sister that I never had.
How long does it take you to get styled?
It actually depends on where am going and what I will be wearing to that occasion, but on a norm, let’s say maximum of 20 minutes.
So which actors are you looking to work with?
I don’t really care. I am not looking up to work with actors. I’m looking forward to work with directors like Desmond Elliot, Kemi Adetiba and other good directors because those are the people that actually make the movies. I’m way over personalities or being star-strucked because when you meet most of them, you are either really impressed or disappointed.
With age and time, I think I have been more disappointed at other celebrities I have met. They have lost that very essence that makes us human, they get lost in the whole Fame thing. Their fake lifestyle is so alarming, that you can see so clearly that these people are not wealthy like they try to portray.
The only very few people that I have met and was impressed, that I always give shout to, are my top Nollywood personalities from day one, Rita Dominic, Desmond Elliot, Chidi Mokeme just to mention a few. They have had my back all through and I respect them so very much. They are so human, very real and down to earth.
Do you have an anger problem?
Ooops, no I don’t, am only an impatient person, like when someone acts stupid and less expected of him or herself. I really have a problem with unintelligent people.
I don’t understand, why someone will be unintelligent, am not talking about book smart but life, reality and street smart, I just can’t tolerate it.
Can you donate your semen for N20M?
I have actually thought about it, it’s very interesting giving life, so it’s no big deal, If am going to make a woman and her family out there happy, why not? I can, it’s very doable, I will consider selling my sperm to someone that wants a child, because N20M will pay a lot of bills for me.’
Between Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay and Simi, Who Would You Smash, Kiss and take to Mama?
Of course I’ll take Simi to mama. Simi has that home quality, she reminds me of the kind of girls I liked in secondary school. There’s something very cute and African about Simi.
For smashing, hmmm all of them are very “smashable”. I will smash Yemi and Kiss Seyi Shay.
Haha! Don’t you think Adekunle Gold and Falz will be mad at you if you take Simi to mama?
(Laughs)… That’s why it’s a question. We are speaking hypothetically. There are female artistes that people just love. People like Chidinma, Simi, Tiwa. They are so sweet and you will just know that in real life, this person will be amazing. I’ve met Simi, she’s so soft spoken, nice and has a good personality
Two Nigerian businessmen have been reportedly murdered within a space of one week by gunmen suspected to be either robbers or assassins in South Africa.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the victims were Adeniyi Olumoko, a 37-year-old indigene of Ogun State andChristian Onwukaike, a native of Awgbu in the Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra.
According to the Secretary General of the Nigerian Union in Pretoria, Adetola Olubajo, Olumoko was stabbed to death on October 7, 2016, in the Marabastard area in Pretoria by a South African, who forcefully took the victim’s goods without paying.
Olubajo added that Olumoko was left bleeding for up to five hours because paramedics did not show up to attend to him.
On October 16, 2016, the Secretary continued, Onwukaike was shot dead by assailants at Empangeni in the North Coast area of Kwazulu Natal.
The victim reportedly drove himself to the hospital after the shooting and eventually collapsed and died.
A press statement signed by Olubajo declared: “The Nigeria Union is calling on the Nigerian Mission to demand results of investigations of all murder cases involving Nigerian victims from the South African authority.
The union was not happy that murder cases involving Nigerians in South Africa don’t get solved.
We recommend that the consulate officials visit the area immediately in the company of some members of the national and provincial executives of the Nigeria Union to speak with the police and the Nigerian community.”
This is not the first time Nigerian businessmen have been killed in South Africa where Xenophobia has been on the rise.
In the past few years, record shows that more than 20 Nigerians have been murdered in cold blood with few of the attackers being brought to book while the Nigerian government has not taken stern measures to protect its citizens.
Dr Eni Alobo, a lecturer and Head of Department in the Faculty of Law of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), has took to social media to threaten an unnamed colleague who has been harassing a 16-year-old student, s*xually.
According to him, the lecturer well past his fifties, has been making “demands” from a teenage girl who’s a Diploma student and has refused to release her file so she won’t graduate.
“You are insisting she must travel with you or see you outside school. For what?”
Before beginning this post I want to tell you that this article does not suggest that iPhone has less functions than Android, or Apple phones are not good, I am writing this to talk about how Android is better than IOS or the contrast in between the both OS.
More Nigerians are addicted to smartphones these days. Everyone wants to purchase a mobile phone with more functions in less cost and what’s much better than Android phones. One thing I like about Android is that you will get a mobile phone at the most affordable price.
As you know that Google is frequently launching their latest OS KitKat, lollipop, Marshmallow, etc
Lets check the 6 difference between both:
1. Cost
This is the main reason why Nigerians are moving with Android. If you notice the cost of Android phone starts from less N15,000, when compared to the iPhone that you need at least N100,000 above and, interestingly you will get fewer features compared with android mobile.
How many of you would not mind your mother Inlaw who just retired and is not sick or needing medical attention come and live with you and hubby permanently?!
My friend’s mother Inlaw is planning to do this. My friend is not comfortable with it at all but has resigned her mind to it.
The mother Inlaw often visits them and spends weeks and months with them even though she does not get along with the wife. The wife told me the mama never wanted her first son to marry and would have preferred he continues to bear children outside wedlock. He had a child before marriage. They have children of theirs now.
Sincerely, I can’t understand the rationale behind a mother moving into her son’s house without invitation or permission. Is it fair?
Note -she has a married daughter o. Is it not better for her to live with her daughter if her and her daughter in-law don’t get along? This lady now has strong cause to believe the mama is out to break her home. Would she now be receptive to her coming to live with them permanently?
Nollywood actor, Mike Ezuruonye shared these cute photos of his son, Reynold Nkembuchim Ezuruonye, as he turns a year older today.
He took to his Instagram page to send him this lovely message:
“Heyyyyy I know this lil ,big ,young man…Yes lil ,big cos he knows he’s young but asks too many BIG questions…Young but has facial expressions that make me wonder and ask “is there BIG old man living in this lil boy’s body??..?..Lil, but handles big Gadgets as I get AMAZED …Lil he is but knows there’s a BIG GOD who watches over him when he PRAYS…?Well,he’s MINE..My addiction ,my PRIDE..One I would go the distance for to make sure he comes out VICTORIOUS in his life pursuits unders GOD’s Canopy….I love you beyond limits …..Happy BIRTHDAY my REYNOLD EZURUONYE ..?????”
Stunning new photos of Christ Embassy’s pioneer, Chris Oyakhilome‘s daughter, Carissa Sharon, has emerged online and telling from the photos of the lovely lady, it’s obvious she’s got her dad’s looks.
After she was rescued by the state Governor yesterday, Precious Chikwendu, wife of Fani Kayode, in a series of tweet has reacted to her detention by the EFCC yesterday at Access bank in Ado-Ekiti.
She says:
All along I’ve been mute in the face of tyranny and political madness dished out on my husband @realFFK and family from this government and custody and in all your stupid investigations I was not accused till today? Haba mbok fear God! This account was opened in 2005 while I faces while u had my husband in ur custody and in all your stupid investigations I was not accused till today?
Haba mbok fear God! This account was opened in 2005 while I was in the university and has been dormant from 2013 till early last month when I had to activate it cos you froze my other accounts with no explanations or invitation, yet this account holds nothing but 200k. So bcos of 200k my son Aragorn and I were subjected to detention in a bank with the police and efcc waiting like sharks.
Thank God for Gov. Fayose and the people of Ekiti becos if they had not been there they would have bundled me and my son like animals and subjected us to God knows what. Had it not been for them there would have been no word out on this matter. What a shame!!
This government and @officialefcc are shameless to bring in women and children to the ring of their vendettas and fights. I’m not a politician or a contractor. I’m the apple of God’s eyes so underate me at your peril. Meanwhile I’m here and as strong as titanium.
Olaitan Olaide a.k.a Seun ”The Diva” who is referred to as the latest dark skinned ‘Male Barbie’, back in September stated that bleaching king Idris ‘Bobrisky’ Okuneye made people like him bolder and show who they really are. (See here)
He released these new photos saying he has no competition with anybody… Another photo below:
Out of the 103,238 applicants, which comprises of 21,082 males and 52,156 females seeking for admission into the University of Ilorin for next session, only 11,000 would be admitted, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, has said.
He stated that the institution was highly demanded by applicants even when some federal universities, according to him, had 148 admission seekers.
Ambali spoke on Monday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, during Unilorin’s 32nd convocation media briefing. He added that it was more committed to meeting the rationale for the establishment of the university, as stated in the Third National Development Plan.
The VC said 67 of 6,069 first degree graduands bagged first class.
He added that 1,505 made second class upper division, 3,200, second class lower; 1,124, third class while 70 got pass.
Ambali said,
“We received a letter to the effect that the Nigerian Army highest hierarchy has approved a collaborative programme leading to the award of a Master of Arts Degree in Peace and Security Studies with Unilorin, through its Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies.
“Through this programme, senior officers of the Nigerian Army will be trained at Unilorin. With this, the university is poised to impact more and contribute further to the Nigerian project.”
Ambali, who is also the Chairman of the Association of West African Universities, also said it was unsavoury that no Nigerian university was ranked in the first 100 of the global university ranking.
The BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) group has expressed shock at the use of its brand name at a fundraising by Hadiza Buhari-Bello, President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter.
At the event, which was held on Monday, the Peace Corps of Nigeria donated N3.5m to Africa Support and Empowerment Initiative, a non-governmental organisation owned by President Buhari’s daughter, Hadiza Buhari-Bello as part of an endowment fund for the Chibok girls.
“Bringbackourgirls” was inscribed boldly on the backdrop of the event.
But the advocacy group led by Oby Ezekwesili has disassociated itself from the event, promising to issue a response through its lawyer, Femi Falana.
The Cable ng reports in a statement signed by Ezekwesili and Aisha Yesufu, the group said the organisers of the event were trying to smear its hard-earned name. The BBOG group emphasised that it was a self-funded movement, and not a money-making NGO:
“Following repeated enquiries from the media, we stumbled upon information of an event tagged ‘Official Inauguration and Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Chibok Girls Endowment Project’ organised by the ‘Peace Corps of Nigeria’ and ‘Africa Support and Empowerment Initiative,’ with Hadiza Buhari-Bello,” the statement read.
“We are shocked, perplexed and completely dumbfounded to see the bold inscription of our hard-earned name, #BringBackOurGirls, on the event’s backdrop. We state categorically that we are not party to the said event and have absolutely no information of its origin. We urge the general public to disregard attempts at linking our movement to this highly suspicious event.
“After 902 days of painstaking advocacy, it is disheartening and unfortunate to suddenly see attempts, by external actors, to use it for selfish purposes. We have carefully built our reputation as a well-organised and disciplined global movement that is completely self-funded.
“The deliberate decision, to remain funded by sacrificial contributions of members for our very negligible needs, is the reason we are solely a Citizens’ Movement, and not an NGO. It will be highly injurious to allow it be dragged in the mud at this point. We therefore demand an immediate retraction and unreserved apology from the organisers.
“Together with our lawyers, Femi Falana & Co., we are considering a response to this attempt to smear our movement. We call on the general public and law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for unscrupulous persons who may already be/are planning similar nefarious acts to deceive the local and international community.”
Speaking with The Cable, Onwuka Don Uche, national secretary of the NGO, said he tried to reach members of the BBOG group but failed at every turn.
“I tried to contact members of the group, but I couldn’t reach any of them,” he said.
“I dropped a message for Oby Ezekwesili on Twitter, but there was no response. We will reach out to group. It is purely a fund for the Chibok girls, and we want to make BBOG a signatory to the account.”
Rabe Nasir, former Staff SSS, EFCC, Member 6th NASS, Anti Corruption Crusader & Now Adviser to Gov Masari of Katsina state, shared the photos of the buildings and wrote:
A meticulous steady trail of Katsina State stolen funds led to further discoveries of a big house in Kano and additional three (3) Commercial Plazas and Housing Estates located in Abuja suspected to have been illegally acquired with illicit funds.
A teenage girl who was forced into an arranged marriage at 14 has died in labour after suffering a brain hemorrhage. According to Huriyet daily news, Derya B was married in a religious ceremony and gave birth a week ago, aged 15.
She died of complications related to giving birth at such a young age, it is believed. Derya died in a private hospital in Batman, east Turkey, yesterday October 17. Police are investigating the circumstances of her death.
Gynecology expert Professor M.D. Aydan Biri told the Turkish paper:
‘It is dangerous for a child bride to get pregnant. The mortality rate is higher in adolescent pregnancies.
‘The risks of high blood pressure, early birth or an intervention in the birth are higher. The pregnancies of children who have not completed their physical development and whose organs have not yet completely developed often end in death.’
According to charity Girls not Brides, there are 15 million girls married before the age of 18 every year, amounting to one every two seconds.
The United Nations says one woman dies every two minutes in labour.
Last week it was reported that a 12-year-old girl called Lan Lan in China is three months pregnant after she was sold into a forced marriage for £3,600. Two adults were arrested after police and doctors spoke to the youngster in hospital.
No shade though! But is the singer himself using the iPhone 7?! Don’t get me wrong, I’m just saying if he’s “currently” using it…
Lol… Anyways, the fan who claims to be the biggest fan of the singer asked him how many retweets he should garner so the singer can purchase an iPhone 7 for him but uh-oh! The singer’s reply is next to none.
See what he said below, even Olamide was thrilled… Hehe:
If you were one who schooled at a boarding house, then you certainly must have come across the myths of “bush baby”, “Miss Koi Koi”, and the likes… I certainly lived the dreadful experience of those myths mehn! They were as scary AF!!
So if you’ve heard about the bush baby, then you know the myths that surrounds it – how it gives you a mat which you’re to keep for a number of days so you can become rich… but within these days, it comes to torment you every night to give it its mat back(which you’re not meant to though)…
To cut the mythology short, this Twitter user has claimed that he has finally found the legendary bush baby that tormented the lives of boarding students back in the days… I’ve not seen one before so I can’t say how true it is and I also can’t identify this animal so… what gives?!
Professor of law and chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption (PACAC), Itse Sagay, says that Nigeria would have collapsed if Bubari had not intervened.
He said this at the presentation of the committee’s report on a new legal framework for fighting corruption Monday; October 17, 2016.
“We know of some governors who are not supposed to be there, but found themselves on the seats with the help of some judges, if Buhari had not come, I don’t think there would have been a country. Zimbabwe would have been better. No agency would have dared to arrest Oputa, Obaseki, Eso, and some others. The government is operating on a zero budget. The moral authority of the golden era of the Supreme Court has crashed. No judge should be guilty of corruption; if that happens then they have reduced themselves to our level, so they should take whatever happens. Let us be fair to this country.”
This is the model that has taken over the internet by storm obviously over her dress.
The young woman identified as a Lagos-based model, Aduke Shitta-Bey, is seen dressed in an outfit made out of the ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag.
The ‘Ghana Must Go’ is one of the most popular bag designs in Nigeria with many people finding it the most accessible and most convenient in the country. It is therefore quite surprising to see the model clad in a dress made out of it.
Social media users have been quick to talk about the model’s unique dress with many describing the style as refreshingly appealing.
This Nigerian couple (Femi and Tomi Adisa) are blessed with not just one, but two sets of twins!
They had the first set of twins (Boys) in October, 2014 and welcomed the second set of twins (a boy and a girl) a few days ago, we say congratulations to them!
Gushing about the testimony, the happy dad and C.E.O. at LoveSeed Entertainment, Femi wrote “My God has done it again.. it’s a boy and a girl. Thank you Jesus!”
Soon-to-wed couple, Bello Oboh and fiancee Misspoza who met in a commercial bus in Lagos in 2008, will be getting married this weekend.
According to MissPoza, she was on her way back from the General Certificate Examination (GCE) in Lagos when she unknowingly joined the same bus with her future husband. Then Bello was on IT.
Something about him interested me as he sat close to me in the bus chewing. We got along and became more intimate, he supported and remained true to me throughout my days in school after i gained admission to Delta state (despite the distance).
Eight years after we are getting married. Can’t just appreciate God enough for the man he gave me and for the wisdom to recognize him even when he didn’t look like it.???
This cute couple Anthony and Vanessa Igbinosun started dating in 2006 & they got married in 2016.
Within 10 years of their relationship, the man is now an evangelist and the lady a medical doctor:
The wife wrote: Don’t get married to someone who you will discover tomorrow that they were not really the type of person you wanted to marry…marry out of purpose. Marry someone that you will not be afraid or ashamed to reveal your true self to. Adam and Eve were Unclad before each other and neither of them was ashamed. Marry someone who doesn’t bore you. Marry someone whose primary joy comes from giving you joy. Don’t marry someone who cannot be moved by your tears. Marry someone who can get angry with you and protect you with his own life at the same time. Marry someone you are attracted to. The Katsina State Police Command has asked Habiba Isa, the 14-year-old girl who was allegedly coverted to Islam and forced into marriage, to return to her parents’ house.
The command maintained that at her age, she was too young to take any decision on marriage and religion.
The state police commissioner, Usman Abdullahi, gave the advice at a press conference in Katsina on Monday, while explaining the police’s position on the development.
The commissioner also said the command was not aware of any marriage between Isa and her alleged abductor, Jamilu Lawal.
Abdullahi said the police became aware of the matter last month (September) after a petition was submitted at the command headquarters by a legal chamber, Bawa, Bawa &Partners, which accused Lawal of abduction and forced marriage.
The petition was said to have been written by the chamber on behalf of Isa’s parents.
The Commissioner of Police said the command thereafter invited Lawal, adding that investigation into the case absolved him of any criminal act.
He added that the command had no choice, but to release him on bail.
Abdullahi said,
“It was gathered that the girl was neither “kidnapped, abducted nor procured,” as she was the one who willingly left her parents’ house to the house of the Chairman of Hisbah, who took her to their village head and later to the district head of Kankara, where she explained that she had converted to Islam.
“This was contained in the statement she gave willingly to the police. It was on this note that the suspect (Lawal) was released since the case of alleged kidnapping and abduction could not be established against him.”
The police boss said the command also invited Isa’s father, Isyaku Tanko; his two brothers, whose names were not given; their lawyer, state and local government chairmen of the Christian Association of Nigeria, as well as the association’s officials from the Kankara Local Government Area, to a meeting.
Also present at the meeting, according to the commissioner, are Lawal, his father, the representatives of the Emir of Katsina and some senior police officers.
The CP said,
“At the meeting, Isa, in addition to the written statement, said she decided on her own to leave her parents’ house for Kankara town, where she converted to Islam, without the influence of Lawal.
“In view of the foregoing, I want to advise the girl to go back to her parents.
“The police are not party to the changing of the girl’s faith.
“The police are not aware of any marriage; and if there is any marriage, the police are not a party to it.”
Airing his thoughts on how women spouses should be treated in every matrimonial home, this Facebook user, Anthony Igbinosun, penned down an interesting piece detailing how himself and his wife equally belong to the kitchen, living room and the other room.
According to him,
“I consider myself to be a very conservative person. Some people even call me old-fashioned. I grew up believing that a woman should be the one cooking, taking care of the kids, etc. However I didn’t have this perception because I considered women inferior. I just felt that was the right thing, maybe based on the traditional values inherent in the African society. I also believed that the man should be the main- if not only- contributor of money in the family. That was years ago.
Today, as a married man, my views have completely changed. One weekend, my wife was doing house chores while I was on my laptop working on my novel, trying to meet a deadline. Although I was focused on my work, at the back of my mind I noticed that the sound of plates changed to the sound of a broom and then the sound of clothes being washed. Immediately, I was alarmed. I thought, ‘Wait, is she doing all that work alone?! And she never called for assistance?!’ Immediately, I left what I was doing and told her to stop, take a rest and tell me what was left to do so that I could do it.
When I was done, I realised that my mentality had changed. You see, love is always greater than a sense of ‘duty’. You don’t need to force a real man to share the responsibilities of house chores like washing, cleaning, taking care of the baby, cooking, etc. Any man who truly loves his wife will not be able to bear the thought of leaving her to bear the burden alone. Let us cast aside the mentality of ‘this is a woman’s duty, that is a man’s duty’. Even the Bible supports a man washing plates (2 Kings 21:13) 🙂 and a woman providing financially for the family (Prov 31:11-23).
What is most important is this: we want to achieve something and we work together to achieve it. If she earns more than I do, then she can contribute more to the family financial goals than I do. If she is working outside while I work from home or return earlier from work, why can’t I be the one taking care of the baby, feeding and cleaning his/her ‘bum bum’ after pooing? If you think these things make you less of a man, then you were never a man in the first place. There is nothing like ‘duties of a man’ and ‘duties of a woman’. However, for the sake of effectiveness, division of labour can be implemented but not because of ‘duty’. The man can end up taking cooking responsibilities and the woman takes the work of car-washing. Doesn’t matter!
On another day, my lovely wife cooked a delicious meal of very peppery Oha soup littered with pomo, fish, meat, etc etc, just the way I love it. I told her, ‘Thank you so much for going to the market and cooking this food. Honestly, I’m grateful.’ She looked at me, surprised and said ‘Why are you thanking me for such a thing? It’s my duty.’ Immediately, I told her it’s not her duty to cook but her choice and that’s why I was very thankful.
The first time I tried washing her clothes we almost had a serious disagreement. She kept saying ‘It’s not right, it’s not right. You shouldn’t wash my clothes.’ Then I threatened to also restrict her from touching mine. At that point we were able to reach an agreement.
What’s the point of this message? My wife and I equally belong to the kitchen, to the living room and…well, to the other room 😀 . God bless you!”
