A woman nabbed two burglars who had just broke into her house and were having sex on her sofa. The victim, Jamie Barnes was entering her home in South Memphis when she realised the door was open after being away for a few days.
Upon entering her home, she was sickened by what she saw.
She said:
“It’s horrible in there. It’s absolutely horrible in there. It’s like they just had a big old nasty party. “Walk in and they’re having sex on my couch. I pick up my broom, I wanted to hit that man so bad.”
The man began repeatedly yelling: “I don’t know nothing” while the women covered up – even trying to wear one of Barnes’ dresses before being stopped.
The man then began to run, but eventually stopped. The woman was arrested for aggravated burglary.
Barnes added:
“They ransacked my house and stole all my stuff: jewelry, appliances, clothes.
“I don’t feel comfortable at this house, so in my eyes, I’m homeless.
A man facing livestock theft charges in South Africa has made a startling confession that the cow he stole & slaughtered has been haunting him!
The suspect, one of five men arrested, told Daily Sun South Africa he has been struggling to sleep because at night he hears a cow mooing at the Tarlton Police Station in Mogale City.
“I regret helping my friends steal the cow on Thursday. I was the one who killed it with an axe. All the noises the cow was making on the day we killed it haunt me in my sleep,” said the man.
He said the cow’s head also visits him in his dreams.
“I will go and ask forgiveness from the owner of the cow. I have been punished for my sins.”
Constable Lucky Matome confirmed that five men, aged between 22 and 31, were arrested for stock theft. They were allegedly found in possession of a slaughtered cow loaded in a double-cab bakkie.
“The suspects were spotted at Waterval plots in Tarlton by our sector vehicle. Officers called for backup and the vehicle was followed to the Randfontein CBD and pulled over.
“The officers discovered pieces of a chopped up cow. None of the suspects wanted to associate themselves with it,” said Matome.
He said after investigation, one of the suspects provided information that led them to an open field near Hillside, where they found more parts.
Owner Anton Lombaard said he was happy with the Tarlton SAPS’ good work and that the cow was worth about R7 000 (N164k). All five suspects were taken into custody and will appear in court soon.
A fraudster who stole more than £130,000 from Premier League footballers, a top manager, and two millionaire businessmen has been jailed for three years and eight months.
Claire Liddle, 41, conned wealthy clients including Stoke City striker Peter Odemwingie, Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom, and former Celtic boss Tony Mowbray by offering to organise their luxury holidays.
Liddle was originally spared jail after admitting the £82,000 scam in 2014, but went on to steal another £22,000 from the chairman of telecommunications giant Lebara.
She then stole £33,000 from the boss of sales solutions firm Flixmedia. Liddle “frittered away” the money on alcohol and a Rolex watch.
In 2012, Liddle had set up a concierge service for wealthy individuals and gave presentations at football clubs by pretending to be working for Solutions Lifestyle.
Prosecutor Michael Morris told the Old Baileys court:
“Although she wasn’t employed by them she used their name and passed herself off as being from Solutions Lifestyle to offer luxury holidays at discounts.
“She arranged to attend Premiership football clubs to provide presentations.”
Liddle swindled Odemwingie out of £15,000 after the striker handed over his bank details to organise his Miami honeymoon in 2012.
She also stole at least £7,500 from Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom, who is currently out on loan to Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.
Former West Brom and Celtic boss Tony Mowbray was stung for £30,000 after asking Liddle to arrange a holiday to Dubai for him and his family.
Liddle claimed to have booked them into a top hotel but when they arrived they were told it had not been paid for and were forced to put the £13,000 bill on his credit card.
She then got Mowbray to hand over another £17,000 by claiming that the refund would be rolled into the family’s £30,000 summer holiday.
Two other wealthy clients were also targeted during the scam totalling £82,561. In April 2014 Liddle was sentenced to two years imprisonment suspended for two years with 150 hours unpaid work after admitting fraud.
Liddle then got a job working as a PA for Yoganathan Ratheessan, the chief executive and chairman of Lebara. But after being dismissed three months later on 20 February 2015 she continued to use his card details to steal a total of £22,897.
Liddle was arrested in June 2015 and was on bail for that allegation when she fraudulently used a company credit card while working as a PA for Flixmedia between August 2015 and February 2016.
Mr Morris told a judge bosses became concerned when Liddle failed to show up at work on February 11 this year. On the day in question she was appearing in court.
Mr Morris said:
“The company called her next of kin who were told she was at court and would not be returning to work.
“The company then did an internet search and found out about this case.
“When they looked at their accounts they found she had defrauded that company by transferring cash from company credit cards into her personal bank account.
“She withdrew thousands of pounds from an ATM and bought a number of Amazon gifts.”
The company claimed she stole a total of £49,000 but her plea to a lesser total of £33,000 was accepted. Liddle pleaded guilty to two counts of theft in relation to the Lebara and the Flixmedia cases.
She also admitted being in breach of the earlier suspended sentence for fraud. Liddle wept in court as she was sentenced to 12 months for Odemwingie, Wisdom, and Mowbray.
She was handed 16 month consecutive jail terms on each of the other two scams, making a total of 44 months.
Her defence barrister Bernard Eaton said Liddle had been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder as an adult after being the victim of a crime as a teenager.
He added: “She feels as though she has got something she can get a handle on. She has conceded there will inevitably be a sentence of imprisonment. This offending was doomed to failure.”
A lady has narrated how she successfully completed her postgraduate program despite encountering some challenges including almost being raped by two young guys.
The lady who lost important school materials in the incident -revealed how she miraculously escaped her attackers and also completed her school work .
I didn’t feel like pursuing a postgraduate program because my dad died 2 months prior to the admission exams. 16 of us were admitted out of about 200 that wrote the exams and we began lectures. Then I started my dissertation. I spent five months writing, submitting, correcting and re-submitting Chapter One.
2 weeks to submission and defence, the unexpected happened. Due to fuel scarcity, getting transport out of campus was hard so I had to walk home. On my way, I saw 2 guys. My first thought was to dash past but then I figured they could easily push me into the lake nearby. As I turned to go back, another guy cornered me and before I could blink he ripped off my bag and said, “I just want to have sex with you, that’s all.
Nothing more. Just cooperate. Don’t worry, I have condoms. Just allow me. I will give you your bag back.” “Oh God”, I prayed. But this guy was not ready to let me go. He kept tugging at my trousers. We were in the sand, rolling and pulling. I struggled and tried appealing to his senses, at least so he could lose some grip and I could run. Noticing I wasn’t going to give in, he decided to strangle me.
He shouted, “Shebi, you are stubborn? I will kill you. You will die today.” As he strangled me, I just heard myself shout, “I will not die but live.” He lost his grip and I took off. I ran into a group of students who helped me. Unfortunately, my attacker had disappeared with my bag containing a friend’s laptop, the hardcopy of my dissertation and several valuables. Because I finished printing late, I did not back up my work.
I informed my department and was given 2 months to rewrite my dissertation and then defend. The near rape and death experience took a great toll on me. My mind became a battle field but a few friends and my family encouraged me. I started the dissertation all over and submitted. A new date was scheduled for the defence. My defence was successful and I even snapped selfies with my examiners. Ain’t God too good?
Richest man in China, Wang Jianlin, who is worth over £23 billion, opened his second theme park on September 24 in the country in a bid to compete with mega brand, Disney.
Wang Jianlin, chairman of real estate conglomerate Dalian Wanda group, has raged war on Disney telling reporters that he wants Disney to be ‘unable to make a profit in this sector in China for between 10 and 20 years‘.
The new park cost 34 billion yuan (£3.9 billion) to create. The first phase of the theme park opened on Saturday and includes a hotel complex, movie centre and a shopping mall.

An 11-year-old boy has become Britain’s youngest male-on-male rapist after he admitted attacking a nine-year-old boy 15 times when he was arraigned in court.
The child from Blackpool, Lancashire, was only caught when the victim’s mother heard suspicious whispering on the baby monitor in her son’s bedroom, Daily Mail reports.
On May 29 this year, the defendant was playing with the nine-year-old boy in his bedroom when his mother heard whispering over the baby monitor.
She walked into the bedroom to find the defendant raping her son on the bedroom floor. The defendant told her: ‘I am sorry, I don’t know why I did it.’
The victim was interviewed by specialist police officers and told them that the defendant raped him almost every day they played together. The defendant also told him to keep what was happening a secret.
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to one charge of raping the same boy 15 times and three charges of sexual touching.
Inquiries then revealed the defendant had sexually touched another boy aged seven over his clothing. The defendant was on bail when he twice sexually touched an 11-year-old disabled boy over his trousers.
Kerry Grieve, prosecuting, said the offences took place between April last year and last month in the seaside town. Brett Chappell, defending, described the case as tragic for everyone and said the defendant had been the victim of sex abuse himself some years ago.
Mr Chappell said the boy had pleaded guilty immediately and shown a sense of shame and remorse. He added that the defendant recognised he needed help for his problems and would work towards addressing them.

Deputy Director linked to the plagiarism of Obama’s speech in President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech when he launched the “Change Begins With Me” campaign has been redeployed from the State House.
Speaking on condition of anonimity, a source close to the presidency reveals that the said director who was discovered to have copied part of a speech by President Barack Obama of United States has been sacked.
“At 8 o’clock on the Monday morning following the allegations, he reported at the office of the Head of Service, and he was immediately asked to vacate his position and office at the State House pending further measures which will be guided by civil service rules and regulations,” a source disclosed.
The Presidency has also taken steps to avoid a repeat of such an embarrassing occurrence which sources said goes against everything that President Muhammadu Buhari represents and stands for.
A new digital process has been put in place in the State House to aid the process of drafting speeches. This includes the provision of tools that detect plagiarism, similar to those used by editors and academics around the world.
Meanwhile the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity equally confirmed that the officer is no longer in the State House. The government of President Buhari had since expressed regret over what it said was an unfortunate incident, expressing hopes that Nigeria can look beyond it to embrace the message of change.

Call her the queen of soap operas and you won’t be wrong. The fact remains that Caroline King is a veteran in the acting business.
She has conquered the soap operas, movies and even the cinemas. There is absolutely no doubt that the soft-spoken actress is our Nollywood sweetheart.
Caroline spoke to Sunday Sun on her relationship with her mum and how it has impacted her life positively.
When last did you see your mum?
That would be during the holidays as she stays in the US with my sister. Recently, when the children were on holidays, they came to Nigeria for three weeks. That was like three months ago, I think.
What food does she cook that you like most?
That is banga soup. Her banga soup is quite tasty.
What’s her favourite meal?
She loves yam and garden egg sauce a lot.
Are you very close to her or not?
Now, I can say yes. Maybe, because I am a mother now and I understand how much she loves me and stuffs like that.
But growing up, we were like opposite sides of the pole, because I was more of a daddy’s girl. I had a better relationship with my father than with my mum. I remember there was a time my dad was like she should just give him some space.
He said the way she behaved, you could have thought he was married to two women. He told her to talk to me and stop waiting for him to come into the issues.
You mean there was a kind of rivalry between you and your mum?
Yea, kind of, because she felt my dad was too lenient with me. She was just strict and still is very strict. As old as I am, I am over fifty but when she comes in, I still tremble (laughs). You know there are things I can say easily when she is not around but when she is around me, I have to think twice and try to edit it well in my head before I let it out of my mouth.
As a teenager, what did she tell you about boys?
Ha! (Laughs) My mum said if I even allow a boy to smile at me for too long I will get pregnant. It was so bad that she planted that thing in me. I remembered the first time a boy wrote me a love letter in secondary school. I took it home and showed my father because in my mind I felt this boy wants to get me pregnant from the letter (laughs). That was the amount of fear my mum put into me.
But as I became older, I began to understand where she was coming from; I’m the first child and a girl. As I started having children, we now started talking more. I opened up to her and told her the things she did back then. She said she did all that because, if I turned out well, my younger ones would too.
She also asked me, “if you had failed and I failed with you, what could have happened to your siblings? So, whatever it was that I was doing was for your good.” But really, I believe she did a fantastic job although I would have preferred some kind of moderation. (Laughs).
What parenting skills did you learn from her that you have inculcated in your kids now?
You know as a young person, you always said you will not be like your mum. But, when you grow older you realize that you are exactly like her. That’s the story of my life really. I will just say that I have imbibed almost everything from her but with moderation and you know the way our children are these days. Growing up, I couldn’t express myself but with my children, I let them express themselves no matter what it is but I don’t fail to emphasize, that they must always say “please”, “thank you” and respect everyone and that they are not better than anybody. You might be better off, because your parents are rich but that doesn’t make other people lesser than you. All these things, I learnt from my mum.
What were the things your mother did that made you realize she loves you?
While growing up, I didn’t think she loved me. It was like she was always on my case and she had traits that I see in myself now. My mum was almost like a perfectionist. So, each time, I had it in mind that I was going to do this already and then she will tell me. But in my mind, I was like, I was going to do it anyway and you know while growing up, especially as a teenager, all those things annoyed me.
However, after I had my first child and she came to help me care for my baby, I think something switched in my brain. That was when I realized, how much she really loves me.
Even then, I couldn’t shake out that distant relationship we had, communication problems and stuffs like that.
However, by the time I had my daughter who is my last born , I now could sit down with her and talk about stuffs that I didn’t like then and then she explains herself. You know, all she did was for me; it wasn’t because she hated me or because she didn’t want me to enjoy life. You see as far as I was concerned then, when friends invited me for parties and I went to my dad, he told me to tell my mum. Then she would scream and ask me questions like “you want to go and do what”? Back then I would say to myself this woman hated me. I wished I could have a better mother and stuffs like that (laughs). Now, I know she loves me so much, when I think about how much I love my children. Even now, my children will say “mummy I don’t even know. I will go and meet my daddy because my daddy loves me more than you do.” But I never let that get to me, because I know when they are older they will understand.
What was her occupation then?
She was a trader, she traded in everything possible. We lived in Lagos for while and then we moved to the North. It was in Zaria that she really did her business well. When we were in Lagos, she traded in provisions and when we got to Zaria, she traded in clothes. She would come to Lagos and buy George wrappers and ankara and sold. Also, there was a bakery near our residence which supplied bread to her and people bought from her. She was quite an astute businesswoman.
What makes her happy?
Her children make her happy and she would give her life to her children. I mean metaphorically she will. The number two thing that makes her happy is her grandchildren and then she loves to watch sports. She loves boxing , wrestling and other sports. During the Olympics, I am sure she was glued to the television throughout. She is all excited when she watches sports.
What makes her sad?
The saddest I have ever seen my mum was when we lost our dad and we were all afraid and thought she would die too. Another sad moment was when we lost our last born, a boy, two years ago. But she was in the US. I couldn’t even talk to her on phone, because she was crying so much. Her blood pressure shot up and I can imagine if I had seen her. It could have been worse than when our dad died. She is a prayer warrior, my mum can pray for six hours straight without repeating a prayer point. I think what will hurt more is if anything should happen to her children and grandchildren, because we’re all she is living for now.
Does she have a pet name for you?
None that I can remember, she calls me my name. I am the one that has a pet name for her. I call her Mamalolo.
What’s the best advice your mum has ever given to you that you cherish now?
What she always told me was that family is everything. All my younger ones will tell you the same thing and you know when push comes to shove, it’s only the family that stands around you. So, that is one lesson I learnt from my mum and I can’t forget.

Estranged hubby of singer Tiwa Savage, Tunjj Balogun aka Teebillz clocked plus one yesterday September 26.
As expected, friends, colleagues and family members sent him birthday greetings on social media.
Tiwa, the mother is his child, Jamil, however refused to give a birthday shout out to him.
Though she is still in Australia on a tour, the hip hop queen seems to have given up on the marriage.
For one who posts frequently on social media especially Instagram, it was surprising that Tiwa, who has been touring the United States and now Australia could decide not to post anything, not even on her estranged hubby.
Obviously, this is a pointer to the fact that she is not going back to her old flame and once-upon-a-time manager whom she said made her who she is today in the entertainment industry.
In her interview with E! The award-winning artiste revealed:
“I needed to do something and I met my manager who is now my husband.
He saw me and was like ‘you could be really pretty if you put an effort into it’ and I was like ‘wait what do you mean’ and he was like ‘you need to lose a little weight, wax your legs; that might be attractive.
So he just literally put me through this whole program and told me that ‘the music is great, the talent is there but 80% of it is branding’.
‘So if you want to do the tom-boy thing, you have to take it to the extreme if you want to be hot and sexy you have to take it to the extreme.
So I started learning how to wear heels and he basically just groomed me into the image of Tiwa Savage that we see now.”
But its obvious Tiwa is done with marriage to Teebillz. Too obvious.
Since she was able to sail through the storm that generated after the April 2016 saga with her estranged husband, Tunji Balogun aka Teebillz, the pretty diva who signed a management and publishing deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation in the US, seems not ready for ‘Kelekele’ love.

It’s usually easier for people with celebrity or rich siblings to succeed but trust me, it’s hard to get your own identity without people always attributing your success to that famous sister or brother of yours.
Some of us just like Kylie & Kendall Jenner work our butts off, we re creative, we re constantly getting it right, we have our own. Support us like our siblings have with their fame or money. We too dey try.
This was their first public outing in Nigeria since they had their private wedding in London on August 23, 2016.
Dressed in a sequined dress, Funke and her beau dressed in a suit, were at the premiere of the movie, “A trip to Jamaica” produced by AY the comedian.
The venue was the Filmhouse, IMAX theatre, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. The movie featured Funke aka Jenifa.
Married to rapper/actor JJC Skillz whose real name is Abdulrasheed Bello, Funke looked chubbier. Though no baby bump yet, the couple didn’t get their hands off each other at the event.
The wedding had generated much buzz and fans wondered the secrecy behind it.
The couple cleared the air a few days later and declared they went for a private ceremony in the United Kingdom to avoid been the cynosure of all eyes, their celebrity status notwithstanding.
In a statement sent by Funke Akindele’s publicist, Biodun Kupoluyi, Funke and JJC said:
“The decision to do it quietly was right for us and we pray for the understanding of our close friends and fans at this offer of a lifetime moment. At a good time, we shall look back and in appreciation of divine grace and your support, we shall celebrate milestones and where we are in life.”

Project Fame, one of the biggest TV shows in Nigeria and West Africa generally has produced a lot of stars making waves all around the world. It produced Iyanya, Praiz, Chidinma,Olawale, Ayo, and many more.
However, the Season 9 of the show was just concluded some days back with another super star in the making, Okiemute Ighorodje as the winner. It was a great moment for her and her family as she was given a grand prize of N5Million, a Brand new SUV car and a recording deal worth millions of Naira.
In an interview with SaharaWeekly’s Osho Oluwatosin, she revealed some topical issues about her career, how she will spend her money, the next step for her career and many more.
Excerpts below:
Q = Question……..R = Response.
Q – Can you take us through your Background?
R – My name isOkiemute Ighorodje. I’m from Delta state, I’m 25-years old. I grew up in Delta state. I’m the third among four girls in my family. My dad is an Urhobo Man while my mum is a Delta-Igbo woman
Q – How do you intend to spend your money?
R – Money matter, dem no dey judge am o (laughs). We’ve had really great financial advisers come to the house and i picked one thing from each of them. All of them said one thing which is a very key thing. They said we should leave the money for a while and start thinking of what to do while keeping it away, and generate more funds.
Q – What’s the next step after Project fame?
R – Ahh, hard work. It doesn’t stop here.Infact, it has just started so it’s hard work, trying my best.
Q- Who were you close to among your colleagues?
R – I was close to Pere, because I’ve heard about him before then. We auditioned together from port-harcourt and before then, I’ve been hearing of Pere Davies. We’re musically inclined and as a singer, you get to hear about a particular musician who is equally good and the funny thing is there was a group where we share gospel truth, fact, ideas about God, Pere was there in that group too but the funny thing Is I didn’t even know. I just knew there was a Pere Davies but I wasn’t really looking forward to seeing him because it was just like a ghost communication and we both met at the audition. I didn’t even know he was the one until we got to top 24 and my friend told me he’s there too. I was surprised so we got closer since then.
Q – When was the most challenging moment?
R – Every moment was challenging because there was never a time we were given songs that we think we know it. Everything was challenging.
Q – Were your parents encouraging when you told them about your intention to go to Project fame?
R – I didn’t really tell them. I told them on the morning I was coming for auditioning and they both supported me. They know I love music and in my family, they support you in anything you want to do. Nobody pushes you.
Q –Lagos is a hub of entertainment, now that you won, do you see yourself relocating to Lagos?
R – Let’s look into the future for that.
Q – Was there anytime you felt discouraged during the competition?
R – There was not a time, every moment was encouraging.
Q – Who do you look up to in the entertainment industry?
R – I look up to my seniors. To me, music is everything I enjoy. I don’t really have a particular person. I just choose from all genres.
Q – Now as the winner of Project Fame season 9, what do you think fame will change about you?
R – I’m still going to be me, I won’t change. The only thing that will add to it is hard work
