EFCC Seizes N1.350bn Properties From Ayo Fayose. (Photo)

Ayo Fayose property seized

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has seized six choice properties allegedly acquired by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State with stolen public funds.

The duplexes, estimated at N1.350billion include four in Lagos and two in Abuja, The Nation reports.

They were allegedly acquired for him by his associate, Abiodun Agbele and sister. Mrs. Moji Ladeji. A furious Mrs. Ladeji has approached the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti laying claim to one of the Abuja duplexes.

EFCC, according to impeccable sources, believe that the properties were bought with public funds including the N1.219billion slush fund from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) handed over to Fayose by former Minister of Defence, Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro, and bribe money from contractors.

Part of the funds came from the N4.745billion which was paid into Obanikoro’s company, Sylva Mcnamara by ONSA for the 2014 Ekiti governorship poll.

Operatives of the anti-graft commission have located and marked the duplexes as follows: 44, Osun Crescent and 32, Yedseram Street in Maitama, Abuja; and houses 3, 4, 6, and 9 in Plot 100, Tiamiyu Savage Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

EFCC sources said the funds were wired to pay for the duplexes.

While the duplex on Osun Crescent was allegedly bought for N200million from Skye Bank Plc, the one located in Yedseram Street in Abuja was purchased for N270million from a businessman, Rabi Kundili.

All the houses in Lagos were paid for by Abiodun Agbele, the detained associate of the governor who is currently under investigation.

Agbele allegedly paid over N880 million for the Lagos properties. Sources said the duplexes were

“acquired within 180 days in office by Fayose.”
“We have discovered that he paid for the houses through his associate’s company, De-Privateer Limited of Agbele.

“I Don’t See Myself Doing Gospel Music Again” – Simi.

singer-simi-slays-in-new-photos-peek

Before she plunged into secular music, Simi was well known for her elevating and inspirational gospel music tracks, like “Ara Ile” – the fast rising songstress has now come out to say she doesn’t think she’d be doing gospel music anymore.

The “Love Don’t Care” crooner who spoke to PUNCH, said she had prayed to God to bless her career, before she moved on to the genre of music she’s in now.

The beauty also spoke on her relationship life pointing out blankly, that she is not in one with popular singer, Falz.

Below is what she told PUNCH,

You began your career as a gospel act. Why did you go mainstream?

The first thing that comes to the mind is that I did it for monetary reasons. However music became about ‘more’; I wanted to have a broader purview. It was a tough decision for me to make at first. I wanted to explore music more. My faith in God hasn’t waivered because before I went mainstream, I prayed to God to bless my career if it was his plan for me. I also don’t see myself doing gospel music again.

What has fame cost you?

I don’t go out much but I love to go to regular places. I can’t do so any longer and I miss having a regular life because I am a regular girl.

Are you currently dating anyone?

I am in a relationship with someone else who is not Falzthebahdguy; we are just friends. My man is mature and understands the fact that I may be erroneously romantically linked with an artiste simply because we work on music projects together.

Haha! Watch This 3-yr-old Girl Crying Hysterically After She Accidentally Saw Her Sister’s Period Blood – She Thought She Was Bleeding to Death!

period-0

This is the face of a terrified young child who had just learnt about periods for the first time – in the most awkward way. 3-year-old Rain Tolentino learnt about menstruation a little earlier than most of her mates after she followed her 16-year-old big sister Meeiah, into the bathroom while she was on her period.

Rain like most kids her age – likes to follow her big sis around and Meeiah was in a rush to use the toilet and didn’t bother to check that the door was locked. So when Rain walked in – what she witnessed was more than she could handle. Meeiah shared a video of the little girl’s traumatised reaction from seeing her bleed ‘down there’.

In the short clip, Meeiah asks Rain, ‘why are you crying’ and she replies, ‘because you’re bleeding there’ (points to vagina) .

She then yells “You need to go to the doctor,” and “You’re going to die because you’re bleeding!”

The video of Rain’s meltdown has now been shared over 1000,000 times on Twitter! Watch the funny clip below..

Conundrum Arises As Lover Kills 27 Year Old Lady And Family Wants It Silenced.

killed by lover

She was supposed to go to her parents’ house at Oshodi on that fateful Friday like she usually did every weekend after closing from work as a secondary school teacher at Abule Oko, a community in Ogun State.

But this day — June 23, 2016 — turned out to be different for both her and her family.

After waiting till Friday night and still didn’t hear anything from her daughter, with her two mobile phone lines switched off, her father was troubled and had to come looking for her.

There and then he got one of the most shocking moments any parent could ever witness.

The door to her apartment was locked, but one of the windows was opened.

He asked her neighbours whether they had seen her that day, but all of them said no. They last saw her on Thursday when she returned from work.

He was confused, didn’t know whether his daughter was inside or not, so he kept on trying her phone lines, all to no avail.

After reaching his patience limit, he called on a carpenter in the area to force the door open and then everyone was horrified — her daughter laid in her own blood, a pillow case covering her face and her body already swollen.

Someone had murdered her in cold blood when she was sleeping and had taken her two mobile phones away.

According to an eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity, the death of Yemisi Tiamiyu, a 27-year-old University of Lagos graduate, is still one of the most mysterious events the source had ever witnessed.

“It is still a mystery to me up till now because Yemisi was an easygoing lady who could never have offended anybody,” the source said. “I saw her last on Thursday and we greeted before she went to sleep. When I didn’t see her on Friday, I thought she went to work early, which was strange, only for us to find her on Saturday murdered when her door was forced open on the order of her father.”

What could have led to her murder?

The source said no one had yet to find out, but that she was seen on the day before she was murdered shouting at a guy on the phone.

The source said, “I overheard her shouting at a guy, I think it’s her boyfriend, on the phone. Both of them were involved in a heated argument and she was uttering the words: ‘Leave me alone. Leave me alone. I don’t want you in my life again.’ I even told her to take it easy with him and asked what the argument was all about, but she didn’t say anything. She was a conservative lady, she didn’t talk much to people.

“She told me not to worry, that she would sort out everything. That was on Thursday evening. She must have been murdered in the early hours of Friday and there is suspicion she was killed by the guy. It is very painful what the murderer did to a very beautiful lady like Yemisi.”

One would expect that this atrocity would have generated an outrage and a cry for justice by the family, the school where she taught, the residents and the community, but the reverse is the case.

In fact, the source who spoke to Punch said everyone — including her family — had been trying to let the situation lie low.

“They strictly warned us never to let the incident leak out. But how could I, as a human being, keep quiet when a fellow human being was murdered in a mysterious circumstance? What is the family hiding? Why is everyone keeping quiet over this issue?” the source bemoaned.

Asked if the source had ever seen the guy with Tiamiyu before, the source said, “I have never seen him before, so I don’t know how he looks.”

Wanting to let the incident ‘die’ was clearly evident when Punch visited the deceased’s apartment on 24, Unity Crescent, Abule Oko.

The unpainted house sits idly between two uncompleted buildings, locked up. Everywhere was quiet, except for the chattering of some neighbours.

“We don’t want to talk about this issue and we are not going to. Whoever informed you of this incident should also tell you who killed Yemisi. There is an order to that effect, even by her father and the rest of the family. We don’t know the murderer; we have never seen him,” one of them spoke harshly to our correspondent.

The school where the deceased taught, Tobbles Primary and Secondary School, a few metres from her apartment, had also been warned by the family and the community not to say anything about the incident, but the administrator of the school, simply Kolawole, had no choice but to say a few things about the incident when it was clear to him that the incident could no longer be kept secret.

He said,

“She was one of our staff members and she had not spent up to a year here when the incident happened. I saw her last on Thursday before the incident occurred. I was going round for supervision and when I got to the staffroom where the teachers were, I saw her. I was cracking jokes with them before I left. She taught the secondary classes and she was hardworking. On Friday when I was carrying out another supervision, as I do every day, I didn’t see her, so I asked her colleagues, ‘Where is Yemisi?’ They said they had not seen her and had they had been trying to call her, but her numbers were not going through.

“Every Friday, I learned she usually went to her parents’ house at Oshodi. But on this fateful day, we didn’t see her and the only means we could contact her was through her phone lines. I didn’t call her, but all her colleagues were calling her, but her lines were not going through. I was in the church on Sunday around 12 noon when my boss called me that somebody called him that Yemisi was found dead. I screamed, ‘What happened to her?’ I asked. It was strange and I couldn’t concentrate again in the church service as a pastor. In fact, the people around me saw that I had lost my mind. They were wondering what happened to me. It’s like you are flowing and then you suddenly lose focus.

“This was a lady in her prime years and that day, I had to leave Lambe, where my church is, and had to get to her residence. When I got there, the house had been shut. I saw some people coming out in mourning.”

On the type of person Ms Tiamiyu was, Kolawole said,

“She was very cool a lady, easygoing. She didn’t talk much. She was not troublesome. She was an introvert and a formal type of person. Very conservative. So it was strange when we heard what happened to her. We mourned her for a week here. All activities were suspended. The situation got everyone moody.”

The leader of the community, simply called Baba Lati, was not around when Punch visited the area on Thursday, but on learning about the purpose of the visit, he screamed on the phone, “Who told you that? Where did you get your information from? Don’t come and cause problem and confusion for us in this community. Even the father of the deceased has stated categorically that he doesn’t want to let this matter leak. Go away!”

When Punch visited the deceased’s Facebook page, she had in time past been sharing tips on relationship and men.

On July 15, 2015, she posted, “If you lose your mind because someone says he or she doesn’t love you, what will happen when you eventually meet the person who loves you? Always value yourself.”

On January 11, 2013, she shared, “Men who beat their wives are heartless and will never change because heart transplant is very expensive.”

On November 6, 2012, she wrote, “If a guy cannot love you for who you are, what will happen when you start giving birth? When a guy loves you only because of your stature, watch it.”

A few of her friends also expressed shock at her death.

“I can’t believe you are gone, still shocks me,” her friend, Teniola Adesanya, wrote, while another, Omoniarami Asanikehinde, simply said, “Rest in peace, dear.”

Up till now, Tiamiyu’s killer has yet to be found.

The Ogun State police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi said the command had yet to learn of the incident until Punch brought it to the command’s notice.

(Read Details Here)

According to eyewitnesses, some Catholics had gone to the church to pray and were attacked by the Muslims who claimed that Friday is their day of prayer and that the Church only has right to worship on Sundays.

Information gleamed from eyewitnesses said that the invaders destroyed Church properties, including doors and windows.

Although some soldiers managed to get there later, however, a lot of damage been done to the building, while the Christians ran away in different directions to avoid being killed.

Rev Fr. Luka Sylvester Gopep, the Vicar-General of the Diocese confirmed the incident.

According to him: “Sometime around 2pm, some Muslim youths in their hundreds left their Mosque after their Friday Jumat prayer and rushed to the Church premises, climbed the wall and destroyed everything in the Church: the windows, the alter, musical instruments, the chapel. The security man in the church premises was beaten to a pulp. Some women who were holding a prayer meeting were chased away. The seminarian who is resident in the premises was also beaten up and chased away,” he stated.

Mr Phuge’s 22-year-old son witnessed the attack but was not harmed, according to the police, who are questioning four people in connection with it, BBC reports.

The alleged killers had invited the pair to a birthday party in Dighi area the police said. One of the suspects had invited Mr Phuge and his 22-year-old son to celebrate a birthday at an open ground in Dighi area when the men attacked him with stones and a sharp weapon.

Police said the son had witnessed his father being murdered and had been spared by the alleged killers.

“However, we are investigating how Mr Phuge reached the open ground where he was murdered,” Dighi police station inspector Navnath Ghogare told the Press Trust of India news agency.

He had before his death explained that he bought the gold shirt to attract women.

Sad Story Of How Two Sisters Died in Enugu Amusement Park Tragedy

Dead-Children-Mother

Two sisters whose parents are currently in South Africa have been confirmed dead and five others hospitalised following a major accident that occurred at the popular Oakland Amusement Park Enugu.

The deceased Onyinyechi Ozumba (5) and Ebubechi Ozumba (8), all natives of Anambra State had joined other children at the park to catch fun before they met their untimely death.

The children, Daily Sun learnt were brought to Nigeria about a year ago to get acclimatised while their parents stayed back in South Africa.

Although the cause of the accident has not been confirmed, the owner of the park, Sir Odega Jideonwu told a government team set up to investigate the accident that the incident occurred while the children were riding on the Tea Cup ride, one of the facilities in the park.

Said he; “we had two casualties and four other children who sustained injuries. Right now, we cannot say exactly, what caused the accident.

“We have been operating the place for about four years and we had to undergo a lot of training and certification to have that park. We have a trained first aid experts and he was on hand to apply first aid but the injuries were so serious that we had to immediately evacuate the children to the hospital and that was done.

“I know what it means to be a father and I know what it takes to lose a child. It’s an extremely painful thing. I have been very disturbed. The entire management and staff of Oakland have been very disturbed. My children are disturbed, these are children of about the same age, and they are disturbed because it gets back to them. They were once in the same school with these children so it’s been a very tough time.”

Jideonwu however, dissociated himself from earlier media reports on the incident insisting that the company has not made an official statement on the tragedy.

The committee headed by the Commissioner for Enugu State Capital Development Authority, Hon. Chidi Aroh who visited the five injured children including the operator of the Tea Cup ride at the Niger Foundation Hospital, Enugu expressed happiness over their responses to treatment.

The commissioner described the incident as unfortunate and expressed concern that it happened at one of the most resourceful recreation centres in Enugu. He said that the facility had to be sealed up considering the number of children that visit the park on a daily basis.

Aroh noted that his committee had to visit the facility and all those injured and as well commiserate with the family that lost its children as directed by the governor.
