Three artisans have been reportedly killed after a two-storey building under construction at Ndiagu in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra has collapsed at about 8:00am on Wednesday.
An eye witness disclosed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that three other persons, who sustained severe injuries from the incident, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
It was gathered that those that rushed to the scene of the incident and assisted in the rescue mission included the Commissioner of Police in the State, Hosea Karma and the Divisional Police Officer in Ogidi, Hassan Musa.
The state police boss, Karma, who described the death of the artisans as ‘unfortunate and untimely,’ urged the people in the area to take heart and prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead, adding that the corpses of the deceased had been taken to Iyi-Enu Hospital’s morgue.
Chuka Onubogu, the President-General of Ogidi community, attributed the collapse to substandard building materials, and appealed to contractors and those involved in building projects to ensure that genuine materials were used.

This is a true life story: Please I want people to help me out here. I proposed to my girlfriend of 8 months last 2 week and we agreed to visit her home last Sunday. I have always dropped her off around the place but I have never entered the house because I wasn’t yet ready to meet the parent because we were just dating then and I wasn’t yet sure that she was the one for me.
Meanwhile all these while, my girl was only referring to her mum so I subconsciously concluded that the father is late. So last Sunday, I got to their house at Agege pen Cinema and what I saw was very sad. I saw a man looking so haggard in the sitting room…
I greeted him, he answered in a very low tone and welcomed me. My girls mum soon came out to the sitting room and also greeted me. We exchanged pleasantries before my girl came out to join us in the discuss. At a point my girls mum brought out money and asked the haggard man to go and buy fuel so that they can put on the generator for me so that Heat will not disturb me.
We discussed at length after the man left.
To cut the long story short, after the meeting we fixed another date for the second meeting that I was supposed to attend with a family member. When I was about leaving, I gave them some money and some to the man and he fell on his knees thanking me as if he has never owned N1000 in his entire life. When my girl was seeing me off, I asked her who the man was and lo and behold, it was her father. I couldn’t believe my ears. it was like a rude joke. It was unbelievable.
She must has sensed my confusion before she started telling me stories of how the man maltreated her mum when he had money, how he married another wife who squandered all his money and left them in penury. She said he used to beat her mum and all sorts.
Since that Sunday till now, I have no peace. I was thinking and imagining how a right thinking woman and her daughter can comfortably relegate the man of the house to a mere houseboy. That Sunday, the man was wearing a torn knicker and a white singlet that I wont even use to clean my car.
Even my wife to be hushed him down when he came back and wanted to keep the fuel change to himself. Something is wrong somewhere. A woman who could treat her husband like this… I have not even picked her call since that Sunday evening.
I am worried and I don’t think I should marry from that family.

The first daughter of the evangelist who was hacked to death while preaching at Kubwa, Abuja, Mrs Eunice Olawale, Jessica, has spoken on the demise of her mother.
Jessica revealed that a night before the death of her mother, she had told her to love her siblings and take care of them – she said her only consolation was that her late mum was in heaven.
15-year-old teenager who spoke with the Nigerian Tribune on Monday, said:
“the evening before she was killed, she woke me up to follow her somewhere, When we got to a junction, she paid a shopkeeper who she was owing.
“When we were returning home, she asked me if I noticed the love between her and her siblings, she then asked me to love my siblings as well and bring them together. She said I am supposed to love them and be their mother.”
“The last thing she told me before she died was ‘good night dear’.”
A condolence message by Jessica reads:
“Mummy, I can’t still believe you are gone. I love you so much. I will try to be very strong for daddy, ok.
“I will take care of my younger ones like you wanted me to do. Oh! How I miss you. You were so beautiful in all, suffering and pain. I miss you, come back to us.”
The deceased’s second child, Michael, said his mother was the strongest woman he ever knew.
“If we don’t have food to eat and we ask her what we will eat, she will say God will provide. She encourages my daddy, during the last year convention, she paid the transportation fee for a number of people while we have not known how we will go,” he said.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that about 123 condolence messages had been written in the register, including the message from the wife of the Vice-President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo.
Meanwhile, the husband of the deceased, Pastor Elisha Olawale, has said he will not file any charges against the perpetrators of the act if arrested, but will, instead, want them to repent.
Pastor Olawale further described his late wife, Eunice, as everything he had, adding that he would miss her absence.
Speaking with the publication on Monday, the husband of the deceased noted that he and his wife had been very open to each other, even on their individual financial stand.
According to him,
“as a pastor, we have been called to the ministry of reconciliation. If they arrest them (perpetrators), killing them won’t help, we are just helping the devil more.
“What I will suggest is that if they should preach to them, they should accept Christ, heaven has more gain, as long as my wife has gone to heaven, if they accept Christ, that will be myjoy.”
He further said “I will miss everything about my wife, she is my mother and my sister. Before she died, she knew what I have in my account and I knew what she had in her account. We have been open to each other. She is almost all we have.”

The man seen in these photos was nabbed yesterday in Lagos and beaten up by mobs after he claimed to be a rich man and tried to scam a lady of recharge cards worth N44,000.
An eyewitness named Olayinka Ayodeji Awoyemi on Facebook shared the story. He said:
So this plum middle age man (thief) was caught in my office complex today claiming to a young lady selling recharge cards, he own an office in the complex and one of the SUVs parked in the complex premises.
He then told the lady to bring all her recharge cards and told her to sit somewhere in the compound to calculate the total money while he inform his Secretary to bring her the money estimated to be around 44, 000 Naira. He even send the security guard to get him 5 pure water, that they need water in his office!
After, he climb the stairs into the building, return and tell the young lady that her money is on the way, she should wait for his Secretary. Very quickly this same man advanced to the gate and jumped into a Keke Napep but luckily for the lady who was highly observant, grabbed him by his shirt, pulled him off the keke and screamed on him.

A teacher was caught in the act, just yesterday, July 12th, 2016 in one of the Schools (name withheld) in Unity, Igbala, Sango Otta, sucking the private part of a 8 years old pupil after School hours.

It was found after further investigation that he was used to doing it from his former place of work where he was staying with a Pastor’s brother. He was sent out of the Pastor brother’s house after he was caught one night sucking the man’s genitals.
The 8 year old boy spoke with eye witnesses revealing that the teacher has been sucking his genitals for months now after school hours before his mum often showed up to pick him up.
The first time it happened, the young boy revealed that the teacher threatened to beat him mercilessly if he told anybody so he has been keeping quiet since then.
He was however caught yesterday when a Parent was walking round the School and was hearing the sob of a child from one of the classes. The parent raised an alarm and exposed the teacher. When the Mother of the Boy arrived in the School, she burst into tears and cursed the teacher.
The teacher is right now in the Sango Otta police custody.
Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has given the Federal government a 14-day ultimatum to smoke out the killers of RCCG evangelist, Eunice Olawale.
The late deaconess was hacked to death while she was evangelizing in the early hours of Saturday July 9th around her residence in Gbazango community in Kubwa satellite town in Bwari council area, Abuja.
Speaking at press conference in Abuja yesterday, July 12th, the chairman of Kubwa Zone of the association, Polycarp Inji, said that if the authorities fail to carry out a thorough investigation into the murder, the church will be left with no other option than to take appropriate legal action and also adopt other options to defend themselves.
He said the attack is designed to silence Christians in Kubwa:
“Our understanding of the situation is that it is designed to intimidate, frustrate and create fears in the body of Christ in Kubwa to the extent that we will not arise to carry out our divine mandate to preach and spread the gospel of Christ” he stated. The Christian body also urged the acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to reinforce the police presence in Kubwa and its environs “All the suspected miscreants and criminals who murdered our sister late Deaconess Eunice Mojisola Elisha must be traced, arrested and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others, because justice must be done and must be seen done. If these kinds of acts of gruesome murder of our members continue unabated it might spiral into undesired effects and unpalatable consequences.”he said

Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has visited the family of the Abuja woman Eunice Olawale who was murdered in Abuja.
According to Punch, the famous pastor said that his church is not seeking vengeance, but wants that the killers become pastors.
Adeboye was reportedly on his way to Lagos after an Abuja crusade, but stopped over to pay a condolence visit to the bereaved family. He said:
“Lord, we just want to say thank you. We pray that you will keep this family in your hand, and that you will be with them. We pray you will comfort and defend them. They too will finish well. We are praying that all the perpetrators of this crime will be found. We are not asking for justice, we are only praying that you will save their souls. It will be glorious if they can come and testify that ‘before we were murderers, but now, we are pastors.’
“As for these little children, give them wisdom; let them succeed and excel. As for the church, you will comfort us. As a result of what had happened, instead of decrease, increase your church. Stand by them and keep away evil from them.”
However, the House of Representatives wants justice and has called for a “thorough” investigation into the killing.
In a motion moved by Ondo State lawmaker, Mr. Babatunde Kolawole, under matters of urgent public importance, the House passed a resolution, asking the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, to ensure that the killers are brought to book. The resolution also asked for shanties in the FCT to be destroyed.
“We urge the FCT administration to demolish all shanties across FCT in which miscreants are said to be hiding and from which they attack innocent citizens.”

The Rivers State Police Command, reportedly recovered N60 million out of the N100 million in a bullion van that went missing on Friday on its way from Aba in Abia State to Rivers State.
The command said the money, which belonged to Zenith and Stanbic Bank in the state was recovered on Monday after it was abandoned in a taxi in the premises of a popular supermarket in GRA, Port Harcourt.
The bullion van, was declared missing on Friday, and a formal complaint was allegedly filed at Rivers State Police Command, which lead to an investigation.
Addressing pressmen yesterday in Port Harcourt, Deputy Police Commissioner, Mr. Uche Anozia, said:
“On July 8, last Friday, we received a report by one Mr. Stanley Ndubuisi of Bankers Warehouse, about a missing bullion van. It was rented by Zenith Bank and Stanbic Bank, here in Port Harcourt to bring cash from Aba.
“Arriving Port Harcourt, it went to Zenith Bank, delivered the money meant for the bank. According to the complainant, at that point the soldiers disembarked and left. Now it remained the money for Stanbic Bank and the driver alone. Consequently, the driver absconded with the money.
“We got information on July 11, that a certain Ford Explorer was parked at the premises of Everyday Supermarket, located in GRA and that the vehicle contains sacks suspected to be bank property.
“I immediately dispatched my DC Operations to the area to verify. Fortunately for us, it was discovered that the sacks in the vehicle belong to Stanbic Bank because of the seals on them.
“The amount recovered, according to information, is N60,250,000. The driver that parked the car there is the driver of Everyday Supermarket. He is on the run now.”

A police sergeant has been reported apprehended after he allegedly pushed to death, a man who was on the way to bury his younger sister, at Oyingbo area of Lagos State.
One of the sons of the deceased, Ogbole Pius, had, last week, raised the alarm that a policeman pushed his father to death at Oyingbo area of Lagos State police Command, Panti during a stop and search.
The policeman who realized all the deceased car registration documents were intact, told him he could not leave because the his car’s windscreen was tinted at the rear
The deceased is said to have told him, it was because it was still early and dark, around 5:30a.m, that the glass was not tinted.
Out of anger, the policeman reportedly pushed Francis and he fell, broke his head and died instantly

A leader who is not afraid to admit that he has no clue to certain matters but willing to learn spot on and hands on.
A leader who can’t be comfortable with praise singers.
A leader who is troubled by the cry of poverty-ridden Nigerians.
A leader who can raise our hope once again in our battered country.
A leader who can make us start believing in our Nigeria again.

A Reverend Father with a Catholic diocese in Anambra State (names withheld), who was allegedly burnt by a cooking gas fire in a lover’s house at Allen Avenue, Awka, has been,reportedly, flown abroad for treatment.
A source said the priest was flown abroad to cover traces. He said the lover died in the inferno while the Reverend Father sustained high degree of burnt.
“Your inquiry isn’t exactly false. His (Reverend Father’s) relative is a friend and he did not say anything different from your proposed report,” the source said.
It was gathered that the priest was relaxing in a one-room apartment of the alleged girlfriend (who was identified as a student of a university in the state) on the fateful day when the incident occurred.
“The girl died on the spot, but the priest was hurriedly smuggled away and we now hear that they have flown him abroad, apparently to cover traces. Are there no hospitals in Nigeria?
“I have told them to stop covering this story. What do they want to achieve by hiding this story? The truth should be said and shame the devil,” the source maintained.
But another source, who would not want to be named, said,
“The priest was involved in the gas fire accident trying to save a life. All these side talks are not unnecessary.”
When Abuchi, Onwumelu, the Press Secretary to the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, was contacted on the telephone for reaction, he said he had heard about the gas fire incident involving a Reverend Father, but had no full facts of the story.
Similarly, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ali Okechukwu, said the matter had not been reported to his office.
He promised to reach the Divisional Police Officer of ‘B’ Division, where the incident allegedly occurred but he never did.

22 schoolgirls reportedly suffered a ‘mass demonic possession’ after they playfully summoned an evil spirit while playing a game of ‘Charlie Charlie‘.
The girls aged between 12 and 15 took ill in the Choco region of Colombia and were filmed screaming and writhing on the floor in some chilling footage.
Other victims began foaming at the mouth while experiencing hallucinations and another even claimed she could see a ‘man dressed in black’.
According to Colombian television network, Caracol, the girls were taken to a medical centre in Novita where they had to be restrained while fitting.
The schoolgirls, who were all found to be suffering the same symptoms, first experienced seizures while at school after they had finished playing a game of ‘Charlie Charlie‘.
The game, involves two pencils balanced on top of each other over a grid with the words ‘yes’ and ‘no’.
A number of medical tests were conducted and doctors ruled out the possibility of disease, intoxication or use of hallucinogenic substances.
No consistent health problems were detected and the girls’ vital signs eventually returned to normal.
Local mayor Deyler Camacho spoke to villagers following the incident and asked them to remain calm. Meanwhile, a local pastor has started praying against witchcraft.
