“When Did It Become A Crime For A Woman Of My Status To Own Jewelries Or Properties?” – Diezani Reacts To $18m House.

Diezani-Alison-Madueke1-e1444111080146

In line with a recent documentary by News Station, Al Jazeera, where it was alleged that her piece of property in Abuja worth $18m and her jewelry worth $2m, have been seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, immediate-past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, has reacted in a statement.

Read below:

“My attention has been drawn to a report by Al Jazeera, which was released on Monday as a testament to the effectiveness of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in its war against corruption. “In the video report, which has been widely circulated in the social media, there are claims about me owning a property in Abuja allegedly worth $18 million.

The report, which represents everything ridiculous and despicable about professional media practice and global best practices in the war against corruption, is the latest attempt to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it. “Clips of jewelry allegedly worth over $2 million were also copiously displayed as if to feed the cravings of an audience gratified with the notion that every wealthy Nigerian is corrupt. “

This will not be the first time calculated attempts have been made to demonise and damage my reputation in the public space. Many times, my detractors have gotten away with these irresponsible smear campaigns because they have become accustomed to my characteristic approach of silence in the face of these callous attacks.

“The latest in the string of propaganda attacks launched against my person since I left government as Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister is this Al Jazeera report, which without any court conviction anywhere in the world attempts to dress Diezani Alison Madueke in the garb of a common criminal.

“This, to say the least, is the height of journalistic brigandage and a sheer mockery of Nigeria’s anti-corruption war before the eyes of the world who are watching and asking if the war against corruption is a circus show where suspects are prosecuted and sentenced on the pages of newspapers and video blogs without anything as remotely in the semblance of a trial in the courts of law.

“When did it become a crime to own a property in Nigeria? When did it become a crime for a woman of my status to have in her possession, jewelry? Jewelry, which women all across the world, including the woman selling tomatoes in Bodija market have in abundance in their closets? In which court of law, anywhere in the world was I prosecuted by the EFCC and found guilty of corruption? “With all sense of modesty, I say this only for posterity and for the records. I have strived within my means and the blessings of God to live a decent and accomplished life.

I studied architecture in England and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Howard University, United States of America in 1992. When I returned to Nigeria that same year, I joined Shell Petroleum Development Corporation. “In 2002, I obtained an MBA at Cambridge University, United Kingdom. In April 2006, I was appointed by Shell as the company’s first female Executive Director in Nigeria. In July 2007, I was appointed by the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua as Minister of Transport. “The next year in December 2008 I became Minister of Mines and Steel Development.

In April 2010, I was appointed as Minister for Petroleum Resources and served in that capacity till May 2015. During this period as Petroleum Minister, I had the honour of serving Nigeria and representing her in the Organization of Oil Exporting Countries (OPEC) where I was elected first female President. “All through my career, I have strived to maintain a record of hard work, integrity and excellence, giving my best to society, because my parents raised me in the consciousness that a man or woman’s greatness is defined not by the amount of wealth they have acquired but the impact of their service to God and humanity. “Coming at such a critical time in my life when I am battling cancer, this poorly executed propaganda bares on its face like tribal marks, a clearly malicious attempt to victimize an innocent woman in what appears an exaggerated plot to validate and give credibility to the anti-corruption crusade under Nigeria’s new regime.

People who are battling cancer or those who have lost their loved ones to this medical condition understand what I am going through at this time. “This is what makes me ponder at the cold-heartedness of those who will go any length to defame and destroy in the name of propaganda. What happened to our shared humanity?,” .

I have absolute regard for the law and believe that people who have breached the laws that govern societies should be made to face the wrath of the law. But in a civilized society, a responsible government owes its citizens absolute commitment to the principles of rule of law, equity, fairness and justice. I have been wrongfully and maliciously maligned and those behind this reckless action know it. “I leave them to posterity, their conscience and above all the Almighty God who is the final judge of all.”

Jide Kosoko’s Friends Bounced By Late Wife’s Relatives During Burial in Delta

bounced

The drama that kick started last week after 53 year old Nollywood Icon, Mrs Henrietta Kosoko passed away is still on.

Her burial initially scheduled to hold in Lagos was cancelled as the family of the deceased demanded for her corpse.

However when the family of the deceased came for her corpse, they delivered a message to the actor to stay away from his late wife’s relatives in order to avoid trouble.

The actor reportedly yielded to their order and stayed back in Lagos. About 6 Nollywood stars he sent to Abraka to represent him were sent back.

A source close to the veteran actor told YMG said Henrietta’s family members didn’t do the right thing. “If you want him to pay dowry, why not have him pay it now with interest so he can give the mother of his children a befitting burial. This culture is out of it” – the source added.

This is why there are no photos from the burial.

Everybody that came from Lagos with the exception of close family members were not permitted to witness Henrietta’s final burial.

Survivor of Orlando Gay Nightclub Shooting Writes Emotional Letter To Shooter

orlando-0

Lots of people are mourning after the tragic massacre that took place at Pulse nightclub on Sunday.

However, in the midst of it all, one survivor found the strength to put pen to paper and wrote an emotional, open letter to Omar Mateen.

21-year-old Alejandro Francisco, pictured above, published an essay on XoJane yesterday, speaking directly to the gunman as he describes everything that was taken from himself and his community, and the one thing they will never lose – love.

Read his open letter below:

orlando-01

I’m Alejandro, a survivor of the Pulse Nightclub shooting massacre in Orlando, and this is my story.

I’m a young, gay man who was born in New Jersey and grew up in Orlando. I love my friends, I love my parents, I’m half Puerto Rican, half Dominican, 21 years old, and at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, you almost took my life.

I go to Pulse nightclub in Orlando because I feel comfortable there, and I can be myself. Several of my friends were there that night, including my friend Stanley. I will never see Stanley again. You took that away from me.

orlando-02
Before heading to Pulse on Saturday night, with my friends Vincent (middle) and Donte.

Saturday night was Latin night, and it was a party vibe because of the Puerto Rican Day Parade. It was a hot night, and the club was filled with life and love and dancing and — until you arrived — pure joy.

My friends and I arrived at Pulse around 11 p.m. I’ve been going to the club for a few years now, and it’s a wonderful place to let loose and really be yourself in Orlando. We had been having an amazing weekend, and we were planning to stay until it closed, but as it turned out, my friend Vincent had the premonition that he wanted to head out before everyone tried to leave at once, since last call was already upon us.

My friend Vincent saved my life.

Across the street, moments after we left, we heard the gunshots start. They sounded like firecrackers. We were terrified. We saw people running all around us, some of them jumping fences. We had no idea the all-consuming nightmare we narrowly escaped inside.

Minutes after we left, without realizing how precious those minutes were, that’s when the massacre began.
The deadliest mass shooting attack on U.S. soil.”
“The worst terror attack since 9/11.”
Please. Let’s call it what it was: the worst attack — on love — on U.S. soil.
Edward, Stanley, Luis, Akyra, Luis, Juan, Eric, Peter, Kimberly, Eddie, Enrique, Anthony, Jonathan, Yilmary, Cory, Mercedez, Deonka, Miguel, Jason, Darryl, Jean Carlos and Luis Daniel, Oscar and Simon, Shane, Amanda, Martin, Gilberto, Javier, Tevin, Alejandro, Franky, Xavier, Joel, Juan, Luis, Juan, Jerald, Leroy, Jean, Rodolfo, Brenda, Christopher, Angel, Frank, Paul, Antonio, Christopher, Geraldo…

These men and women were strangers to you. All of them had one precious gift, one saving grace that you could never, ever have. That much is clear. I know you had a child and a wife and a father and a mother, but you did not have what they had. You never could have. What happened never could have happened if you did.
But Omar, you failed.

You tried to massacre the very one thing that you can never destroy in our community. Ever.
You can not take away our love.

It is more powerful than anything else that exists in the world.

I’m 21 years old now, but I came out when I was 16. I remember my exact words: “Mom… I’m gay.”
Violence had long been part of my life. Ever since fifth grade, I have been made fun of and called a faggot and had to fight for dignity and pride all my life. But in that moment when I came out to my mom, she looked at me, and she knew. I could tell she had always known, and she loved me so much. She gave me a look that told me she would love me forever.

“Okay,” my mom replied to me. “And?”

And… she didn’t care. She saw me as her son. She saw me the same way she had always seen me. She saw me with the healing, transformative eyes of love.

I am so sorry you must not have ever had that in your life. Otherwise, I can’t imagine you would have wanted so badly to end mine.

In the aftermath of almost dying, of narrowly escaping your wrath, my friends and I have been walking around like zombies all day. We survived, but now all we have are questions. What do we do now? Why am I still here? How could this have happened?

And of course — why, why, why do you hate us like you do?

I know that there is only one answer. Every time I ask these questions, it is the only thing that makes logical sense to me in this sea of devastation and heartbreak and grief.

I think about Eddie Justice who sat in the bathroom and sent those terrified texts: “I’m gonna die. Mommy, I love you.”

Violence all around him, and he found the love.

Omar, we are stronger than your hate. We always will be.
Eddie did not survive.

Stanley did not survive. Edward did not survive. Luis did not survive. Akyra did not survive. Luis did not survive. Juan did not survive. Eric did not survive. Peter did not survive. Kimberly did not survive. Eddie did not survive. Enrique did not survive. Anthony did not survive. Jonathan did not survive. Yilmary did not survive. Cory did not survive. Mercedez did not survive. Deonka did not survive. Miguel did not survive. Jason did not survive. Darryl did not survive. Jean did not survive. Carlos and Luis Daniel did not survive. Oscar and Simon did not survive. Shane did not survive. Amanda did not survive. Martin did not survive. Gilberto did not survive. Javier did not survive. Tevin did not survive. Alejandro did not survive. Franky did not survive. Xavier did not survive. Joel did not survive. Juan did not survive. Luis did not survive. Juan did not survive. Jerald did not survive. Leroy did not survive. Jean did not survive. Rodolfo did not survive. Brenda did not survive. Christopher did not survive. Angel did not survive. Frank did not survive. Paul did not survive. Antonio did not survive. Christopher did not survive. Geraldo did not survive…

But love did.

In fact, it just grew stronger.

Married Women Tend To Cheat More Than Married Men…Here’s Why

Many things might be going through your mind right now as you read, chill and read on. Marriage is the toughest institute on earth.

Reason is, two different personalities come together and try to be one. Remember, both are from different family, backgrounds or ethnic.

Have you ever imagined that some fathers are not the legitimate father of their kids? Asking how? Research has it that married women tend to cheat more than married men.

No sentiment here, married men are often perceived as the promiscuous one, it’s not a lie that they cheat, but married women does it more.

Some will give the excuse of, my husband is not fateful, and why should I be the faithful one? what I call such rants is foolishness, there is no circumstances that should warrant a married woman to cheat, because a woman owns a home, if it works or break, depends on her.

As far as you wouldn’t jump into a burning fire just because you saw someone jumping in, then no one or no circumstances should make you defile your wedding oath. Rather take a divorce than commit such shameful act.

Some would have extra marital affair, because their spouse does not satisfy them in bed, why not teach him how to hold and touch you? Tell him how you want it and see if you wouldn’t be satisfied.

A question please, what happened to for ‘better for worse’? Some unlucky ones tend to get pregnant for their lover in the process, to escape the shame; they make their husband bear the responsibility.

As an individual, don’t you think it’s repugnant for things of this nature to be happening in our society? What legacy are such women laying for their kids with such a life style?

I know many might say it’s the other way round, what’s your perspective about married women cheating habit?

“My Lounge Has Not Shut Down” – Ini Edo Debunk Rumours

ins

With the way the economy situation in the country is heading to, even the rich are crying, some celebrities are packing up businesses while some are denying that they are not directly affected to close businesses.

Ini Edo has denied that her Mimz Lounge & Hotel has been reportedly shut due to poor funding since the rumours started flying around.

She explained “I am hearing this for the first time. I can’t even understand what you’re trying to say. How can some people be saying the business I opened some months ago has closed down? Mimz was opened in September last year and has since been doing well. The place is on the road, very visible. You can go there yourself and verify. I don’t even believe those peddling the rumour have visited the place since it opened.”

Ini went on to say if we doubt her, “I have just told you what you need to do. If you can’t go there yourself, you can send any of your guys there to feel the atmosphere to know whether the place is still functioning or not before we can start talking about whether I am making profit or not. Go there and feed me back. But in truth, the story has no credibility. So, don’t bother yourself about it.”

Actor, Mr. Ibu Shares New Cute Photo with His Son

Untitled (7)

Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, shared an adorable photo of himself and his son.

The actor who welcomed a son with his wife in February 2016 and has a daughter after losing his first son from his ex-wife years ago, seems quite taken with his new bundle of joy.

In 2012 John Okafor’s son Emmanuel died after he was kidnapped with his wife. Mr. Ibu blamed the death of his son on his ex-wife. Emmanuel died ten days after Mr. Ibu paid his ransom.

John Okafor married Stella Maris in 2015. Their traditional wedding was done years before. The actor gave his wife a new Lexus Jeep.

Ali Baba Shares Powerful Testimony Of How His Wife Almost Drank Acid After Mistaking it For Water

Untitled (5)

Comedian Alibaba shared a really powerful testimony on how his wife miraculously escaped drinking Acid.

Read Below:

Untitled (6)

You see that patch, in that lush green? That is one great lesson in THE GRASS MAY NOT BE AS GREEN AS YOU THINK. That patch in the grass, has been there for a year today!!! Ok, so a year ago, my wife was supervising workers as she was chewing cashew nuts. Then she started choking on it.

She had had a bottle of water in her hand in the Garage all the while. So when she choked, terry eyed, beating on her chest and trying to force herself to cough, she reached out for the bottle that she thought was the one she had been drinking from.

The lid was a lot tighter than how it was on the bottle she had been drinking from.

She stride to unscrew it and at that second attempt to unscrew it, she turned around to see if there was anyone around to open it and saw the real bottle she was drinking from.

And she dropped the tightly screwed one. Anyway, we thank God she did not drink it. She got curious and wanted to know what was in it. It was konk ACID that the workers were using to clean stains off the marble floor during renovations for my 50th birthday June 24th, last year. Everyday, for like a month, and regularly ever since, my wife would be seen gazing at this spot.

She has refuse for the dead soil to be removed. She loves looking at it, especially on her birthday, July 11th, last year, my wife went to that spot, looked hard at it, and as the tears built up in her eyes, she said “Thank you God for your continuous miracle in my life. DEM NO REEEEEACH!!!!” And cried even more.

So, in retrospect, exactly a year ago, I would have lost my everything and would have, always, for the rest of my life, been mourning before all my birthdays! But as Zakilo will say, God no dey sleep.

Domestic accidents kill more than gun violence. Let’s be very careful. Please help me say thank You to God as I use this testimony to connect you to the protection and deliverance you will need at the point of any action you take that can harm you. When you see my wife tell her you tap into that ACID deliverance that God blessed her with and she goes “Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm”. We will always have a reason to thank God and praise his name.

“Igbos Should Go & Sit Down, Biafra is Dead & Buried” – Apostle Suleman

prosx

Apostle Johnson Suleman is the General Overseer and Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) and President of Celebration TV, Auchi, Edo State, and he’s also known for his accurate prophecies across the country and beyond.

In this interview with ENCOMIUM Weekly a couple of days back in Ikeja, Lagos, the brilliant clergy dissected Nigeria’s situation and much more…

The Nigerian economy is getting worse by the day and Nigerians keep lamenting. In fact, Nigerians who voted for change are now regretting their action. As a prophet of God, what is really happening?

Let me start by painting this background that when you start anything on a wrong foundation, it becomes a big problem. For instance, you know that the foundation of a building determines the height it goes; President Muhammed Buhari is confused, he is very confused.

In 2012, Buhari was against subsidy removal, he saw it as a scam and now in 2016, he removed subsidy. This is something you didn’t believe it existed. President Buhari still sees Nigeria with the eyes of 1984. In 1984, the government controlled the economy of Nigeria but now, the economy of the nation is with the private sector. The Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), control the nation.

So, when you come with the consciousness that your agenda is to tackle corruption, corruption… there are other things to handle. You don’t operate leadership with a one-agenda mentality. So, what he did now is to block the inflow and outflow of money into the country, which is what controls the economy and creates employment. Let me ask, how much is minimum wage? So, when you block their inflow and outflow and a man puts in $50, 000, he gets a call from the EFCC, CBN, because they think he is a thief. The man will have to think of going to Ghana to do his business. So, Buhari crippled the private sector and they have to relocate.

I hear some people who are talking about the economy and they are shouting budget. No, it’s not about budget. If you understand the economic laws, you will know that even when the budget is passed, seven months into the next year, it can still run, it can still run on the outflow of the previous budget of the other year but now, we have a problem where the president does not understand the economy at all and those around him are not telling him the truth.

Do you know that in Bayelsa now, people sell their children to feed? A woman went to the market to buy something and handed her child over for sale. She told the woman selling food stuff that she was coming but she never did. After much wait, the seller had to tell the child to take her to their house; on getting home, they met the woman cooking the food for other three children.

The woman had to respond to the seller that the child with her had to starve so that she could feed the other ones. When the police were invited, they were touched that they wanted to pay. It’s that bad. Like I said during my crossover service, we don’t need change and if we need change, then what are we changing to? Are we changing from good to better or from good to worse? I want to tell you that PDP is a fraud, APC is a scam. People came with the mentality of change and now, no one is talking.

Do you know that part of the APC who are leaders are staging a protest against their party soon? One of them spoke to me and he said that the highest that will happen is that they will take the leadership from him. We have a president who is an evangelist. Today he is here, tomorrow, he is there and you criticized this same thing during the previous government.

Buhari is fake, I have no personal issues with him but I don’t like lies, I hate people deceiving others. Sometime ago, I was in Sweden and I was listening to their campaign on phone.

All I was hearing was change, change and change; I asked myself, is that their agenda? Yes of course, Goodluck Jonathan was not good in leadership but is there nothing more to be done? When Buhari took over, I gave a prophesy that in few months, Nigerians will stone Buhari but unfortunately, Nigerians took me up.

Some insulted me on the internet that I don’t want the good of Nigeria, but the same people are revisiting those things and they are saying, oh, how we wished we knew because we have a president whose agenda is corruption, corruption… I want to ask a question because I have found out that, that is the reason most people queued behind him but is that the only virtue for leadership? What about creativity and understanding the economy? Every day you are shouting that you don’t like corruption and you are catching thieves.

If we wanted a man that will only be catching thieves, we would have voted for the Inspector General of Police (IGP). To me, it’s senseless.

Today, we started prayers but I told the church that I warned them not to vote at all; yes, I know it’s their civic responsibility but we are in a point in Nigeria where the person who is contending against the incumbent is worse and you can’t be taking side with two criminals.

Sir, with the situation on ground, is there hope for Nigeria?

Yes of course, there is hope for Nigeria because God is still on the throne. God is our hope. Though the country is in a critical situation, God is able to turn things around and that is why we are praying, organizing prayer summit and championing the campaign that all Nigerians should be on their knees crying to God on behalf of the nation. Though there will be casualties because certain people will want to maintain the status quo, they must be booted out. What we need now is prayer and not roundtable, no. Let me shock you, they held a national conference, but do you know they will hold another one but nothing will still come out of it?

Check those at the helm of affairs of the APC or the centre, they don’t know leadership. They all have dossiers of corruption; if you want to fight corruption, start with your own people and not handpicking. Like I said, they have made business hard for the private sector that controls the economy and the men have pulled back their funds and Nigeria is grounded. There is hope for Nigeria if we can pray. Don’t forget that our president is a dictator, the court has freed Kanu but he’s still in prison.

When you make yourself bigger than the judiciary, then there is trouble in the land. In those days, the judiciary was the last hope of the common man but today, the story has changed. You can see selective vendetta. In Nigeria. When I speak like this, people think that you are against somebody but that is the problem because we don’t know how to separate issues from people and that is a lay-back mentality. So, APC’s ambition was just to take over power but the interest of Nigerians were never at the centre.

As a prophet, with what you have said so far sir, this means God is not happy with Buhari. Are we seeing a change in leadership soon?

By the end of the year, by the grace of God, God will be speaking to us concerning the new year and if there is going to be change, we shall let you know. But like I said, the immediate problems are what we are handling now, and we need to pray because when we talk about austerity, poverty and those travelling for business meetings in China and the rest of them, can I shock you? They will disappoint him. It would have been better he looks at the challenges of Nigerians, and use the money being wasted to solve them.

Does that mean Buhari is not God’s choice for Nigeria?

Nigerians chose Buhari and not God. Let me tell you this, at times, God can allow you choose what you want. There was a time in the Bible that people wanted Saul and everyone was chanting and praying for Saul, Saul, Saul…and the coming of Saul was very dramatic, you would think God had a hand in it because he was the tallest and at the end of the day, when Saul started dealing with them, they regretted their choice. Your child screams ‘I want ice cream’; out of pressure, you may give him. You may have even warned him that it will cause diabetes but he won’t listen.

Buhari is the sugar Nigerians have taken and now we have become a country that is diabetic. You won’t understand my pain. I am not critical, it’s when you take care of people that you feel the pain. For instance, I have 300 widows, I pay them every month. Whether I eat or not, they must eat. I have 160 students in polytechnics that I pay their fees and about 92 students in the universities. When they come and say, daddy, I need transport to school, and you are giving them times three of what you used to give them and check that out, why won’t you scream? I have a television station, Celebration TV, where I am watched by almost half a billion people, so I don’t need popularity, I am known all over the world, I was a journalist, I have written over 80 books, I have antecedents.

So, I am not saying this because I need popularity. No. It was not this bad. Is it that when people were stealing money things were good and now we are recovering and things are bad? I don’t understand the irony of the whole thing. I can say it again, there is no hope in this government except on God. I heard the Minister of Labour and productivity, Chris Ngige said that Nigerians should be patient for the future, can I ask? Is it a man who is dying of hunger, starving that will see the future?

In Nigeria today, the level of poverty is rising every day? Every Thursday, aside the monthly salary, we distribute rice to widows and we have been doing this for seven years, we have never missed any Thursday but for three weeks, the money we spent is triple of what we used to spend because rice has gone up. I don’t have a company and neither do we print money.

The truth is this; God will not forgive the present leadership because Nigerians trusted them. Nigerians hoped on them and there is nothing as painful as hope dashed. In the time of Goodluck Jonathan, nobody abused him because they didn’t have hope in him, but today, people look at Buhari and they shake their head because they don’t even know what to say to him. Recently, I learnt that even the Northerners, his own people don’t want to hear anyone mention his name around them. I see his ministers resigning, and this will be as a result of frustration.

What is your take on the insurgency caused by the Fulani herdsmen?

There is nothing like Fulani herdsmen, it’s all fake. Those behind it will soon be exposed. In the first place, who armed them? AK-47… look at Boko Haram, it’s not yet over. What they want to achieve is to put the nation under siege, place Nigeria under the Northern fear. There are people behind them. Now, people were killed in Enugu, Aba, who was prosecuted? When the president was told, he said we shouldn’t worry that in 15 months, all these will be over. So the Northerners are free to kill and kill till then? That was the response of a leader. Nigerians walk on pillars. Abroad, their strength is their right but in Nigeria, our strength is the godfather. Everything happening is political.

What’s your take on the Biafra agitation for freedom?

The Igbo cannot even rule themselves, they should go and sit down. There is IPOB, MASSOB, you can see that they are already having division. You have not been able to rule yourselves and you want to rule a nation, it’s not possible. They should forget this agenda and seek relevance and not creation of a nation. Biafra is dead and buried. It’s now a mind-set. It’s not achievable because the real people who would have fought for Biafra are no longer in existence.

A lady recently came to your church and later alleged that she was asked to pay for miracle. How did you deal with that matter?

That was a ridiculous claim. It was a setup and an attempt to blackmail God because we speak His word. We later discovered that a Lagos-based prophet was behind the blackmail attempt. But rest assured that we serve a mighty God, so, small situations and circumstances would not move us.

Dr. Sid Finally Speaks on Allegations That He Slept With Tiwa Savage

drsd

Dr Sid finally has spoken about TeeBillz Allegation that he slept with his Ex-wife, Tiwa Savage…in an interview with Leadership Newspaper, the Father of one also spoke about how Fans have been pushing him to break-out of Donjazzy-led Mavins Record to start his own music Label.

When asked about his future plans and whether he intends to establish one any time soon, he said: “People keep asking me this question. Because Lil Kesh has started a record label and now people think I should.

Well, the truth is most artistes, who start record labels, want to be independent. And the question is why do they want to be independent? If you are in a situation that works, if every of your needs are met, if you have a great boss, your bank account is credited timely, everything is fine, why would you want to leave?

You might say, I want to have my own label. But that is not based on functionality. A record label should not be something you want to possess. It is business. And it is important to say that it is not beans [easy] to have a record label. It is not beans to take care of yourself, let alone other people.

Being in Mavin records has not hindered my progress in anyway; it has not stopped the money in my bank account. I give the record label what is due to it and the record label does its part. In the end, it is business. It is a partnership.

I do not have a problem with anyone opening their own label. If it works for them fine. I am not going to put myself in a situation just because everybody says or is doing so.

When the rumours came out, that I was the one that broke up MoHits Records there was really no need to talk then. It is easy to point accusing fingers or blame on someone.

But people need to really get the facts right. And honestly thinking about it now, I might have had a part to play in the whole. That is the honest truth.

sd

On Teebillz accusation that he slept with his estranged wife, Tiwa Savage, Sid said:

“Who do you verify from? How many things would one verify? Let’s be real. If this person talk am and that person talk am again, na so I be [if one person says it and another confirms it, then it is true.] I am not really bothered about these things. Tiwa Savage is, and will always be, a good friend of mine. She is a hard worker. All we need to do is to pray for them and hope that everything is sorted out soon. On my own, my wife and I are good. Everybody is fine. If somebody calls you a thief and you did not steal why you go vex? I don’t want to respond to nothing.”

Omotola-Jalade1-600x460

Mummy Omotola called the Follower “Ode”…Hahahahah..That literally killed me..

“Ode” is a Yoruba term for “Slowpoke”..Lol. Eleyi Gidigan!

Yesterday, Omotola commented on performances of contestants on singing competition – The Voice Nigeria.

This infuriated a fan or perhaps a troll who thought the actress had no right to judge contestants and Omotola responded saying her voice could best any of Nigeria’s popular singers.

Omotola Jalade has once ventured into singing. In 2005, she launched her music career with the release of her debut album titled GBA, however, her music career never really gained much traction as expected.

Her second attempt in 2012 which was set to feature American singer, Bobby Valentino never saw the light of day.

Jide Kosoko Pens Touching Tribute To His Late Wife, Henrietta

Jide-Kosoko-and-Wife-stargist

Nollywood actress, Henrietta Kosoko passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 after a brief illness.

The late actress was buried in her hometown on, Saturday, June 10, 2016 and her husband, actor, Jide Kosoko penned a moving tribute to her.

He wrote:

“I find it disheartening that my treasured wife passed away at R-Jolad hospital. It was a terrible shock because the sickness was so brief and never looked like a terminal one.

My darling Henrietta was not only a wonderful wife and mother but she was my meticulous partner in my profession as well as housekeeper and homemaker. She was a cheerful, friendly person and made many warm friends.

Rita seldom, if ever criticized any person. Instead, she preferred to refer to their good qualities. My wife was the soul of honesty. She would never shade the truth no matter what the consequences.

It is difficult for me to estimate Rita. She departs this sinful word with a substantial proportion of me. We did not only fall in love but also built our relationship and were also fond of ourselves till death.

She inspired me in ways I cannot explain. I have lost a worthy helpmate but I have nothing but happy memories of her in this world.

Adieu Henrietta Kosoko. I sorrow now for my beloved wife but the burden has been lessened by the many kindness shown my family and me.”

The late actress who was battling with diabetes, slumped at her residence and was rushed down to the hospital, then taken back home where died on Monday, June 6, 2016.
