According to her, she didn’t want to marry her betrothed but was forced by her family to agree to the marriage.
Surprisingly, her boyfriend, in his response to her revelation, pleaded for her forgiveness as well, as he disclosed that he is also set to marry another woman.
He revealed that he has held his traditional marriage to his secret partner already, and even sent a copy of his wedding invitation to her.

A Nigerian lady, who claims to be a psychologist, identified simply as Nancy, has advised an alleged rape victim to dress decently to avoid getting raped.
The victim, Anjola Oluwa, had taken to Twitter to open up about being raped twice, and bragged about not being a bitter feminist despite her ordeal.
In reaction to Anjola’s story, Nancy gave her tips on how to avoid getting raped again. She admonished her to stop wearing short and tight clothes, dressing half-naked, and encouraged her to try wearing hijabs to avoid getting the attention of men.

Reality TV star, Victoria Adeleye, popularly known as Vee, has averred that she would be uncontrollable if she had a big derriere.
The former Big Brother Naija star, who has a slim stature, stated this in a post shared via her Twitter handle on Wednesday, July 3.
According to her, she would have been out of control if she was blessed with a big bum. She, however, stated that it’s better as she is not well-endowed on the backside, otherwise it .
She tweeted, “If I had a big bum, I’d be uncontrollable. It’s honestly better this way.”

If I had a big bum, I’d be uncontrollable. It’s honestly better this way.
It all started after Vee quoted a line from Nigerian superstar singer, Asake’s hit song, “Trending at the top.”
“I don’t care what they are yearning about me in particular”, Vee’s tweet read.
Reacting to this, a Twitter user, who is apparently not a fan of Vee, commented that there were rumors circulating that she is an escort.
However, Vee quickly responded that she’s not the one being referred to but rather another person with the same nickname, Venita Akpofure, who happens to be her ex-lover’s cousin.
“Dem say you be olosho,” the Twitter user wrote.
In her defense, Vee stated that she doesn’t care, as Venita has been very mean to her in the past.
“I’m sorry but I don’t care. You don’t know 10% of what that babe did to me. So it’s not your fault. I will do a madness both publicly and privately”, she wrote.

Big Brother Naija season 7 winner, Phyna, has taken a swipe at her co-star, Venita Akpofure, after she expressed admiration for her fellow housemate in the All Stars season, Adekunle.
It’s no secret that Venita and Adekunle are slowing building a bond in the house, as they have been sleeping together for the past few nights.
During her diary session, Venita also confessed to Big Brother that she is drawn to Adekunle because of his intellect and eloquence.
However, Adekunle appears to be approaching the situation with caution, expressing his desire to “explore” rather than fully committing to Venita in the house.
In response to Adekunle’s response to Venita’s feelings, former housemates Deji Morafa and Phyna, who were part of the ‘level-up’ season, took to Twitter to praise him for choosing to take things slow.
However, Phyna, 26, went the extra mile to age-shame Venita, 36, describing her as an “old mama youngie”. She also accused Venita of trying to use her own to spoil Adekunle’s game.
She wrote,
“As it should be oo……. Oldie mama youngie wan use her own spoil our bad boy dek oo”

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has seemingly reacted to the controversy surrounding his son, Yul Edochie’s marriage to his second wife, Judy Austin.
This comes in the wake of reports that Yul’s first wife, May, has officially filed for divorce and is demanding N100 million in damages from Yul and Judy for alleged adultery. She also filed a restraining order, preventing Yul from accessing their former matrimonial home.
Since Yul and Judy made their marriage public last year and announced the birth of their child, they have been the subject of intense discussions and criticism on social media.
The 40-year-old actor continues to face heat over his actions and social media posts following the tragic death of his first son, Kambili, with his first wife.
During a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Pete Edochie indirectly spoke on his son’s marital saga through a proverb.
He asserted that Yul brought all the negativity upon himself by bringing an ‘infested firewood’, referring to Judy Austin, into his home.
In his words, “He who goes to the farm and gets ant-infested firewoods (amongst all the good firewoods in the farm) shouldn’t be surprised when Lizards start paying him a visit.”
Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemate, Venita Akpofure, has revealed that she’s attracted to her colleague, Adekunle, because he is very intelligent.
She revealed this during her diary session on Wednesday, stating that she admires him for being a “bad boy” yet still being intelligent, articulate, and classy.
The actress was discussing her time in the All Stars home as well as her friendship with Adekunle, with whom she has just become close.
Venita brought up the altercation between him and Allysyn, a former housemate, that occurred during the previous season of BBNaija. Ade was upset about it since he genuinely liked her but she ended up calling him names and moving to Hermes, which left him traumatized.
She argued that because she is a very different person than Allysyn, he should not expect her to treat him the same way as their friendship grows.
Venita emphasized how much she admires his intelligence and said that he is a highly clever individual. She claimed, however, that despite the fact that he appears unbothered, the mishap with Allysyn still has an impact on him.
She said in part: “I’m attracted to his [Adekunle’s] mind and his brain. He is very intelligent, very articulate, very eloquent. And he has class and is still a bad boy.”
Big Brother Naija All-stars housemate,Angel Smith, considered leaving the reality TV show after a heated altercation with fellow housemate, Ilebaye on Wednesday night .
The exchange between the two of them started after Angel questioned Ilebaye about peeling off paint from her body into her box, which was left open in the wardrobe area.
Ilebaye retaliated by yelling and said that because she is the youngest and a quiet person, Angel purposefully tried to incite her to rage.
After their argument, Angel became so furious that she declared she would face Big Brother in the diary room and ask to leave the All Stars house voluntarily.
She started to pack her bags, but her friends Mercy Eke and Venita stopped her and urged her not to quit because of a disagreement with a fellow competitor because doing so would cost her the opportunity to win the N120 million cash prize.
The Akwa Ibom influencer, however, said that she was sick of the program and wished to quit, but they persisted in trying to talk her out of making the audacious decision to inform Biggie of her desire to leave.
According to her, she was tired of being surrounded by fake people everyday and over the appeal of being on the Allstars show and wanted out.

Popular actress, Eniola Badmus, has spoken up after TikTok user Ego Okoye’s was sebtenced by a Lagos federal high court.
Ego was found guilty of the allegations brought against her by a federal high court after being arraigned on Wednesday, August 2. On count one, Nwakego received a sentence of one year in jail with the possibility of a fine of N50,000. On count two, she received a sentence of two years in jail with the possibility of a N100,000 fine.
Taking to her Instagram page to release a statement, Eniola Badmhs addressed those who always had negative things to say about her and her choices without evidence.
According to her, celebrities were humans that got hurt by the negative comments and it was sometimes impossible to ignore.
She advised people to exercise their freedom of speech responsibly as defamation was a serious matter with severe consequences; legally and socially.
She wrote;
“I will like to address an issue that has been plaguing social media platforms and online communities: defamatory statements about me.
How do you wake up, go on social media and pull people down by making false/negative comments about them and still expect mercy from God? This is someone you do not even know! Common!
You have no single fact/evidence but will sit behind your phones and make a smooth video defaming my personality. Why?
When I was a plus size, it was the height of body shaming, now on my fitness journey, same negative comments, when I made my political choice, same negatives. Guys, let people live their lives and respect them for it. Some of us have muscle to keep it going, how about those that can’t and silently struggle with depression and low self-esteem?
We celebrities are human, we have blood running through our veins like you. No one judges your choice or approach to life in your corner, so why judge me on personal and human actions?
More often than not, I ignore these comments or don’t even bother reading them but sometimes, it hits badly and you truly and really want to set an example.
I am aware that defamation is a serious matter and can have severe consequences, both legally and socially. It is essential to recognize the impact of our words on others and the responsibilities that come with expressing our opinions publicly. While freedom of speech is a fundamental right, I think it should be exercised responsibly and with consideration for the potential harm it may cause. Above all let’s spread love ❤️

Four Nigerian stowaways have shared their 14-day ordeal during a perilous journey across the Atlantic ocean in a tiny space above the rudder of a cargo ship.
The men revealed that they ran out of food and water by the 10th day at sea and had to survive on sea water for four days before being rescued at the southeastern port of Victoria by the Brazilian police.
In an interview with Reuters, 38-year-old Thankgod Opemipo Matthew Yeye said, “It was a terrible experience for me. On board it is not easy. I was shaking, so scared. But I’m here.”
The four men thought the ship was headed for Europe but were shocked to discover that they had, in fact, ended up on the other side of the Atlantic, in Brazil.
Upon their request, two of the men have been returned to Nigeria, while Yeye and Roman Ebimene Friday, a 35-year-old from Bayelsa state, have applied for asylum in Brazil.
Yeye, said to be a pastor from Lagos state, revealed that his peanut and palm oil farm was destroyed by floods this year, leaving him and his family homeless. He said he hopes his family can join him in Brazil.
Friday, on his part, said his journey to Brazil started on June 27, when a fisherman friend rowed him to the stern of the Liberian-flagged vessel, Ken Wave, which was docked in Lagos.
His friend left him by the rudder, where he found three other men already waiting for the ship to depart. He said he was scared because he feared that the other men might throw him into the sea at any moment because he didn’t know them.
As the ship set sail, the four men made every possible effort to remain undetected by the ship’s crew, fearing that they might be thrown off the ship if discovered.
“Maybe if they catch you they will throw you in the water,” he said. “So we taught ourselves never to make a noise.”
To avoid falling into the sea during their two-week journey, Friday and the other men set up a net around the rudder and secured themselves to it with ropes.
When he looked down, he said he could see “big fish like whales and sharks.”
They say they found it hard and also risky to sleep due to the noise of the engine and their lying position, stating that they were happy when they were rescued.
According to Reverend Father Paolo Parise, a Brazilian clergy and priest at the Sao Paulo shelter, he has encountered other stowaways before, but the method employed by Nigerians was the most dangerous he had ever witnessed.
“People do unimaginable and deeply dangerous things.” He said.
