The controversial ‘sacrificial giving’ form contains amounts totalling millions, members are urged to donate. Some are even told to give up their whole salary.
Many who saw the form expressed shock as they believe it is just another money making scam.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been pictured departing the country with his presidential jet as he travels to London for 10 days to seek medical attention and to take a rest.
During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T specialist over a persistent ear infection in his left ear, otherwise called ‘Meniere Disease’, a challenge which has drastically reduced the president’s outings in the past weeks.
“I greet my husband good morning with a kiss” – Mrs Alakija
Africa’s richest woman who happens to be a Nigerian, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, has talked about some vital relationship goals.
In a recent interview with The Punch, the 65-year-old multi-billionaire businesswoman spoke about her childhood, how she cut her teeth in business, how she has made her marriage work with practical examples and many more.
Read excerpts below:
You have been married for close to 40 years. Are you still in love with him the way you were when you met him many years ago?
If anyone of us is abroad, for instance, the two of us would make sure that we call each other a minimum of twice a day. We have spoken three times already today. If it wasn’t that I was running late for the interview, I would have picked up the phone again to ask him to buy me three brushes but I had to give the job to my assistant to do. So every little thing, we are talking throughout the day.
You are still friends?
Very much so too. We are lovers, friends, brother and sister.
Where did you meet him?
We met at a party in Surulere, Lagos, two weeks after I relocated to Nigeria from England. The party was in the evening. So my brother, his fiancée and I were attending that event and we were all seated together.
Then came along my husband-to-be; he said to me ‘why are you following your brother about’? I said ‘what do you mean’? Then he accosted my brother who he knew well and said your sister is a big girl, why are you allowing her to follow you about? Then my brother said, ‘stay away from my sister. Leave her alone’.
Anyway, we got talking and after the party, he suggested that I should sit with him in his car rather than sit in my brother’s car so we could carry on with our conversation and we would be driving in a convoy back to our abodes.
So we carried on talking and said goodnight. But from that night, unless one of us is abroad, there has been no day that we have not seen each other. Ever since that day, we have seen each other every day unless one person is away and the other is somewhere else.
Your name is more popular than his. Do you know if sometimes in his sober moment, he asks himself ‘why is my wife more popular than I am’?
I believe that that is on the contrary. You know why? He is extremely shy. He does not like publicity. I’m an extrovert; I don’t mind publicity. I like to throw parties; he likes to listen to music.
Nowadays, marriages fail a lot but what would you describe as the secret that has sustained your marriage for so long?
A lot of things make marriages break. What I have noticed over the years is that a marriage doesn’t break suddenly or in a day; it is a gradual process. And the earlier you nip it in the bud, the better. And it is always better to know what the dos and don’ts of marriage are before you get into it so that you don’t get your fingers burnt and so that you can enjoy rather than endure your marriage.
One of the tenements of marriage is that you must communicate with one another. If you do not talk to one another regularly enough, your love can begin to grow cold. You may begin to drift apart and then other things begin to set in.
The Bible tells us that if one person offends the other, you need to take care of that matter immediately and not let it degenerate.
Do not let it degenerate into something that you will still be sulking about the next day because with every action, there is reaction and with every reaction, there is a counter reaction.
I counsel partners and one of the things I tell them is never to make the mistake of having separate bedrooms from the very start. Make sure you share one bedroom even if you have 10 bedrooms.
And not only that, if you tell the carpenter to make your bed to be from one wall to another, you are making the biggest mistake. It can separate you. When you quarrel, it won’t help. But when there is nowhere to turn and you end up kicking one another, you will make up quickly.
One of the things I do to break the ice rather than let things degenerate is to ask my husband to help do my zip even when I can do it by myself. I have broken the ice. You are bound to quarrel because you are two human beings.
If anyone tells you they have a perfect marriage, it is a lie. Yes, they may be compatible and be having a good time but that does not mean it is perfect. It doesn’t exist. Make sure that you set up the values that you will use to run your home and bring up your children.
I greet my husband good morning with a kiss. There are different ways of showing submission. It is not that we are asking you to put your head on the floor so that he can trample on it. No! We are saying show your husband respect. It is the will of God. Speak to him nicely.
There is no man that you would treat like that and would not honour, respect, appreciate and do whatever you ask of him when you ask for a favour. He would go all out with pleasure and even go the extra mile to do whatever you ask of him.
That is what a lot of people don’t realise. Likewise, a man should love his wife; that is what the Bible says. He should honour and respect his wife and not bring a girlfriend into the matrimonial home and say what can she do?
Are you supposed to do that? Is it fair? Is it right? Is it because you are stronger than her physically? If you decide to give her a slap, she can’t beat you, but all she has got is her mouth and she will abuse you very well. One thing will lead to another and the marriage will degenerate. Once it starts degenerating and you don’t quickly nip it in the bud, it may lead to separation and then divorce.
So how do you feel now being known as the richest woman in Africa?
I’ve never called myself that and I just live my life. I do whatever I need to do with all joy and pleasure. It has not changed me; it will not change me and there is no amount of money that can change me, my husband and my children. That is the way we have lived our lives; we will continue being who we are as a family.
Groom-to-be, Kojo Prince of a chubby bride, whose pre-wedding photos went viral this past week has shared his story of how he met his bride to be.
He told @preweddingnaija:
It all started a year and half ago, when I went to visit a sick relative at the University of Ghana hospital where my fiancée Abena Serwaa works. I approached Abena with a prescription for help which she gladly assisted me. I really appreciated everything she did for me. We became friends and it moved on and on.
It wasn’t easy trying to win her heart but I always prayed to God to see me through because I saw all that I’ve always prayed to God for in my future wife. God been so good she finally accepted my proposal. God been so good we’ve been dating for a year and a half now. President Muhammadu Buhari will as from today, June 6, embark on a 10-day vacation to see his doctor, in London, United Kingdom.
Asides using the trip to see an E.N.T (Ear. Nose. Throat) Specialist in London, the President is also expected to use the period to rest.
Premium Times recently reported that the President was suffering from an ear infection which has limited his public outings and official assignments in the past few weeks.
Following the publication of the report, the Presidency released a statement, saying that the President is as fit as a fiddle and that the report is a figment of the writer’s imagination.
The same presidency on Sunday, released a press statement, announcing the 10-day vacation of President Buhari and a prospective visit to his doctor.
“During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection”, says Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President.
“The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution”, the statement added.
The perfect 5.0 GPA graduate from Unilag, Ayodele Dada was a guest on Rubbin Minds with Ebuka Obi Uchendu and he revealed that he never got a house from any organization.
He also talked about his resolve not to have a girlfriend in school so as to prevent distractions but that he wasn’t an introvert as he had his share of fun in the university.
Oluwasegun Fayose, Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose’s eldest brother, has condemned the latter over his ‘aggressive method of governance.
Oluwasegun, in an interview with The Nation in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, said his brother was embarrassing the family by some of his actions and utterances.
According to him, “leaders are not supposed to make comments that are capable of inciting the public or bringing their family’s name into disrepute.
He said:
“I totally disagree with him. I do not like what he is doing. He is dragging the family name in the mud. I read in national dailies that Ayo Fayose was inciting Ekiti people against herdsmen.
“I have never seen where a leader talks like this before. I spent most of my life in Europe. I left Nigeria in 1976. My children are still there. I want them to be able to come home. I do not want to be harassed. Let it be on record that I do not support this kind of aggressive method of governance. He is too vulgar for my liking.”
Rather than making utterances that do not portray him and the Fayose family as noble, Oluwasegun advised, the governor should keep quiet.
What type of love a father has for his child that he went through minutes of pin punching pain so as to have his child’s face drawn at his back? What type of love is that?

A Kuwaiti nursery school pupil has taken end-of-year gifts to the next level after gifting her favourite teacher with a brand new luxury Mercedes.
Noor Al Faris, aged around five, wanted to thank her teacher for helping her ‘graduate’ from kindergarten in Kuwait this week, Mailonline reports.
Little Miss Al Faris is pictured sitting on the bonnet of the car, which has;
‘This car is for my favourite teacher Nadia’ written in Arabic on the windscreen.
Noor said she gave Nadia the car because she wanted to express her gratitude towards her teacher after she graduated from her local nursery.
But according to local media, it was in fact Noor’s appreciative father, not named, who bought the present for Nadia after the teacher helped his child recover from losing her mother.
The widower told local reporters that she had a key role in helping his child develop and had had a positive impact on Noor following her mother’s death.
The exact price and specifications of the car were not revealed although local media suggested it was an expensive model.
It was also not reported where in Kuwait the event took place.
Which kine play play is this one?! A 52 year old man in Russia has been apprehended for allegedly chopping off his friend’s penis. The two longtime friends decided to have a penis measuring contest, and after the result was read, one of the men did not take the news well.
Prior to the contest, the two men who were enjoying a drink session began arguing about the size of their manhood, and they decided that the best way to settle the argument was to have a penis-measuring contest.
The loser, the 52-year-old who was deemed to have the smaller penis, became enraged and picked up an axe, which happened to be nearby, and attacked his friend.
The younger Russian man, a 47-year-old, was first knocked unconscious by the swing of the axe his friend wielded.
A statement from the police revealed that, apparently, words had not been enough to settle the argument.
“Over two days the men were binge drinking, which led to a violent argument. When words were exhausted, the attacker pulled out an axe and first struck the opponent on the head, then cut off his manhood.”
The police and emergency services were alerted to the man’s condition when a neighbor, who heard the painful screams of the man whose member had been chopped off, called the authorities.
The attacker will face charges for inflicting a “grave injury” upon his friend.

When he was not ready for marriage, a lady he slept with several years ago in Lagos got pregnant and it sort of landed him in a scandal. But now that he’s married, six years later, his wife is yet to conceive.
Popular gospel singer Sammie Okposo’s marriage will be six years on July 1. Speaking with Sunday Scoop, he said he is not bothered by the fact that he is yet to have a child with his wife, Ozioma Okposo who is the younger sister of Kene Mkparu, the CEO of FilmHouse and FilmOne.
Sammie has survived almost everything a gospel musician should not go through.
He has faced multiple scandals, church suspension and vicious kinds of rumours about his antecedents. But now he said he has learnt his lessons and he’s no longer in a hurry in life:
“I am happily married. I am happy I did not get married before I married my wife. I married my best friend. She is a good woman, she is a supporter. She loves me…”
Speaking further about their not having a child yet, he said,
“I am not bothered. Why should I be bothered? Am I God? Anything that has to do with life is not in my control. God is the person with the final say when it comes to childbirth. It is going to happen, because delay is not denial.
However, it is not affecting the happiness in my home. I am not waiting for my wife to give me a child to bring extra happiness. It has not even formed a discussion in our home. God is the owner of babies; he is the one that gives.
“I thank God because he did not give me some things when I wanted them. In the meantime, I am grooving, rocking and graciously enjoying my wife because there is no distraction and responsibility of raising a child yet. When God feels we have enjoyed ourselves enough, he will give us double for our trouble.
The way we are now, if I’m on tour in America and I miss her, she could join me if she’s free but when babies are involved, you can’t just leave home like that.”
The gospel singer who had a well-documented dalliance with Kate Henshaw in the past and has a reputation for women, said all his attention is now on Jesus and his wife.
“It is a time to focus, I looked at myself in the mirror and spoke to myself. As far as Sammie Okposo is concerned, no more side chick for me. It is not even a topic of discussion,” he said.
Speaking further, Sammie said he is concerned about the trend of inviting secular artistes to the church to minister.
In time past, Korede Bello signed under Mavin Record and some other musicians have been invited to different churches to sing. Sammie who is a Globacom ambassador said, “It is totally wrong.”
“It is 100 per cent wrong for a church leader or a church denomination to bring a secular artiste to minister in church; what we have is an altar not a stage. You cannot take people to a place you have never been. As long as you are not a gospel musician, you are not anointed to minister on the altar of God as a singer. It doesn’t matter whether you used to sing in the church or not,” he added.
A heart-stopping video from Chiba, Japan shows a little boy turning his back on a lion enclosure only for it to charge forward and pounce – only stopped by the glass wall.
The adorable tot, just two-years-old can be seen watching the male lion crouching by the rock at the back of the large class-enclosed space. the boy doesn’t run away, he simply spins around to face the lion, his hand held out as he stumbles backward.
Maybe in his childish innocence he thought the big cat was just trying to come and play.
According to zookeepers the lion reportedly weighs more than 400lbs. They claim he often gets excited when he sees small children and wants to play with them.

FFollowing the death of 14-year-old Amina Ibrahim, after reacting to a combination of drugs that she took, Punch’s Motunrayo Joel writes about the dangers of self-prescription and Stevens-Johnson syndrome, the rare but dangerous medical condition that it can trigger.
Amina Ibrahim’s mother, Maryam, rushed to her daughter’s bedside, knelt down and began to pray loudly in Hausa, hot tears running down her face soaking her black hijab. Her wailing rang out loud and clear filling the air within Mohammed Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital in Kano State.
“I hoped that my baby will survive. She cannot die; she will be healed. You cannot die; we will all go home together,” she cried. Sadly, Amina didn’t rise up to pacify her. 14-year-old Amina died.
“Your death could have been avoided. What did I do wrong, why did my daughter have to die?
My Amina, I refuse to believe you are gone,” she cried. As she cried, her husband, Bala Ibrahim, looked on. His vacant eyes staring into space. Bala held his daughter’s hand. He could not touch her face or hug her in death. Stevens-Johnson syndrome, the medical condition that Amina succumbed to, had left her face and body terribly disfigured.
As tears rolled down Maryam’s eyes and her hijab got even more wet, the doctors and other hospital workers who struggled to save the fourteen-year-old’s life moved in to console her.
Shortly after she started wailing, the Accident and Emergency ward of the hospital began to fill up with people who heard her and came to console her. Within a short while, the entire ward was a cacophony of noise and screams.
Stevens-Johnson syndrome is a life-threatening skin condition that disfigures the body before finishing off its victim.
Mayoclinic.org, the website of foremost US medical group, Mayo Clinic, describes Stevens-Johnson syndrome as a “rare, serious disorder of skin and mucous membranes” that is usually “a reaction to a medication or an infection.”
It says, “Often, Stevens-Johnson syndrome begins with flu-like symptoms, followed by a painful red or purplish rash that spreads and blisters. Then the top layer of the affected skin dies and sheds.”
Maryam told our correspondent that her daughter’s health problems started when she started reacting to the drugs she bought from a local drug dispenser in their neighbourhood. These drug dispensers are called ‘chemists’ across Nigeria.
Punch learnt that Amina, who resided with her parents in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, developed body pains after taking the drugs.
Maryam said, “I wish I had told Amina not to go to that particular chemist. But how could I have known that she embarked on a trip to her death? My children and I usually patronise the chemist. We do not have money. I am a housewife while my husband is an electrician. We feed on the little money my husband makes on a daily basis. I have five children; we cannot afford to be visiting a hospital every time we are ill. My daughter complained of cold and cough which made her visit the chemist to get some medications.
“On May 26, Amina and her younger brother went to the chemist near where we live in Dala council area. She told the chemist what was wrong with her. I later learned that it was the chemist’s son who was on duty that day. The boy is about 19 years old.”
Mrs. Ibrahim, who spoke through a female interpreter, added that the boy prescribed an antibiotic, Septrin, to Amina, claiming that it would relieve her of her discomfort.
According to her, later in the evening of that day, Amina took the drug (septrin) and within an hour, her lips and tongue got swollen and her eyes became red.
“The pain was unbearable for her. We did not know what to do. I had to check the expiry date on the drug sachet to be sure it had not expired. But I could not find any date, ’’ she stated wiping tears with her palms.
She further said Amina returned to the chemist the next day to complain of her reaction to the drug.
‘‘I followed her to the chemist and we met him in his shop. He said Amina was developing symptoms of chicken pox and that she would need to be placed on injection and other drugs to fight the ailment. We heeded his advice, believing he was an expert in health matters,” her mother said.
She told our correspondent that the chemist gave her daughter a combination of drugs which included paracetamol, ciproxin, puriton, ciprotob and blood tonic to treat the chicken pox which he claimed Amina had.
“Immediately she completed her injection doses, things got out of hand. My beautiful daughter changed into someone I could not recognise. Her face turned black as if she got burnt. Her health also deteriorated daily,” she said.
Throughout his narration, Amina’s father, was lost in thought. Once in a while, a solitary teardrop would travel from one of his eyes, down his face and on to his cheeks. He did not wipe these tears. He just stared into space.
“I do not know what to say, I do not even know what to think. I cannot believe my baby is gone. What pains me most is that her death could have been avoided. Every day, throughout the period Amina was being treated, we hoped she would be fine and we would all go home together someday. I just did not know if my family would be able to recover from this,” he said softly.
When asked if they had reported the chemist to the police, he said, “We can’t find him again.”
Research done by clinical pharmacists has shown that self-prescription is one of the commonest forms of drug abuse in the country.
A Chief Pharmacist at the Food and Drug Information unit, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, Abiodun Adigun, warned that the condition was on the increase in Nigeria. He also said the condition affected all age groups, races but was more common in females than males.
He said, ‘‘Being a member of the pharmacovigilance committee, I have been opportune to fill and submit the yellow form (adverse drug reaction form) to the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control zonal centres emanating from drug use at normal therapeutic dose.
“Recently, the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, alerted the public on the need to increase awareness and knowledge of this disease with the aim of preventing it. People with a weakened immune system either as a result of an organ transplant, HIV/AIDs and autoimmune diseases such as lupus are at increased risk.”
Twenty-year-old Temitope Adekunle (not real name) is one of the many Nigerians who self-prescribed. Temitope, who lives in Agege, a Lagos surburb, does not go to the hospital when ill.
“Whenever I have malaria, I take Quatem, cough mix, antibiotics, blood tonic and another drug which I cannot readily remember now. I rarely visit hospitals. Why should I when I can receive treatment at a nearby chemist?” he said.
A clothier, Mr. Taiwo Idris, said he takes paracetamol, amalar, amoxil and vitamin C whenever he is ill.
The habit of using drugs without prescriptions is not limited to artisans as some educated persons also indulge in it.
An undergraduate, who simply identified himself as Ajuba, said going to hospitals for diagnosis and prescription is a waste of time.
“I personally consider it a waste of time, when I can walk into a chemist and purchase the drugs I need. I’m not saying it is wrong going to hospitals, but if you know your ailment and the drugs you need, walk into a chemist and purchase the drugs, simple,” he said.
A businessman, Mr. Tolu Olagunju, also said he uses drugs without prescription except when it is a major health case.
“For cases such as malaria, typhoid, buying drugs without prescription is not bad. These are not serious, life-threatening cases. I only go to my family hospital when I have a major health challenge that I can’t handle. With the current state of the economy, going to hospitals and paying consultation fee and all other fees just to see a doctor is difficult, let me be honest with you,” he said.
Similarly, Mrs. Lola Olanrewaju, a mother of three and a businesswoman also acknowledged buying drugs without prescription.
“I don’t take my children to a hospital every time they have a health challenge. There are some drugs I am conversant with which I know work for them. It is abroad that people always visit hospitals if they have any little health challenge,” she said.
A deadly disease
In 2012, a medical doctor, Adeyosola Adedayo, also died of SJS, at the young age of 27.
According to his brother, Fadesola, the late Adeyosola contracted the condition after an allergic reaction to a precautionary medication he took while helping the less-privileged in Lagos, Nigeria.
He said, “Since his death, I wished that no one should feel the pain that my family and I felt. I have since made it my life’s mission to raise money and awareness for Stevens-Johnson syndrome among other deadly skin diseases.
“We were so close; I still remember our last conversation. I didn’t know that it would be our last conversation. His departure has left a huge void in my heart. He was a lovable person; his death came as a shock to many.”
Also, in 2011, Marian Adejokun, a young lady based in the United Kingdom, was left scarred for life after she developed an allergic reaction to a medication.
Adekojun spent more than three weeks in intensive care at the Royal London Hospital where doctors diagnosed her with Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Her ordeal began five years ago when she developed an itchy eye. Her doctor asked her to get some eye drops from the pharmacy which she used before going to bed.
“The next morning, I was horrified to wake up with lumps all over my body. As my condition began to deteriorate, I was rushed to the hospital. As my skin began to shed, I was put into a medically induced coma — and doctors warned my mother I may not survive. I am indeed lucky to be alive and healthy,” she said in London.
Experts’ mixed perspectives
Commenting on the condition, a clinical pharmacist at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Mrs. Ogochukwu Onwujekwe, noted that Amina’s situation must have been triggered off by a combination of the different drugs she took.
She said, “Drugs can kill and heal. There are some certain drugs that trigger SJS, however the syndrome is a rare disease condition. It is a pity that when the drug reaction started, the chemist thought it was chicken pox. If Amina had reported the reaction at its early state to a proper doctor in a hospital, it would not have escalated.
“It is a sad tale. Nigerians who patronise quack chemists and drug hawkers must realise that they are endangering their health.”
Onwujekwe said it was possible the drug responsible was not withdrawn and so caused more harm.
‘‘If a qualified health care professional was sought, the problem would have been nipped at an early stage. The patient may be resuscitated with a treatment similar to that meted out on severe burn patients. It may however leave the patient with long term conditions like blindness, scarring, arthritis, nerve damage and other limitations and disabilities for example permanent skin damage,” she added.
Onwujekwe added that the condition could be triggered by sulphur-based drugs such as tylenol, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and naproxen , and anti-psychotic and anti-epileptic drugs, especially carbamazepine.
She said, ‘‘Unfortunately, these are the drugs that are usually “mixed” in chemists’ shops by the unqualified drug sellers to unsuspecting buyers to cure ailments.”
Onwujekwe called on the Federal Government to move against the prevalence of self-prescription among Nigerians.
She said, “These strategies should be at different levels: health system, governance level, level of health care providers, medical doctors, pharmacists, patent medicine vendors and level of consumers. Some of the interventions for the different levels that the government can implement include embarking on awareness and sensitisation campaigns on the need to seek medical care in reputable facilities with trained personnel.’’
She also advocated that clear warnings should be on the labels of drugs that have the potential to cause adverse drug reactions.
The health practitioner advised those who use drugs to report adverse reactions to the nearest health facility for appropriate medical attention.
The President, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Ahmed Ibrahim Yakasai, in a chat with Punch, said that the body just had a meeting on the issue of quack chemists. According to him, the trend has become worrisome and needs to be tackled urgently.

Last week, news made the rounds that Sir Shina Peters abandoned his wife, Sammie Peters for a new wife Olajumoke Olayinka Peters.
However, following the massive criticism from the fans of the Afrojuju singer, his manager Femi Davies has sort of denied that claim.
According to Davies, Peters is a ‘law-abiding citizen who wouldn’t risk bigamy as he is legally married to Sammie Peters.
“The story is not true. Shina is not married to any other woman other than Sammie,” Davies told Punch, adding, “He is legally married so he cannot have another marriage by law.”
But the business manager refused to address the relationship between the iconic singer and Olajumoke Olayinka Peters, if any exist at all.
Well, they have denied the claims that he abandoned his wife, and we guess his fans can breathe well now.
In the clip, the woman above named Rebecca Masika, a Congolse Human Rights Activist, narrated how some warlords dressed in military uniform, stormed her home during the war in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1999, stole from them, dismembered her husband and afterwards forced her to eat his penis.
The warlords then proceeded to rape her and her two daughters aged 9 and 13 who got pregnant and had babies for men who they do not know.
According to the woman, she counted 22 men raping her before she passed out. The attack left her womb destroyed.
She said she was later thrown out of her husband’s house by his relatives because she refused to get married to his younger brother and also because she had no male child. She worked with a foundation that helped victims of rape. Masika died last year from Malaria and High Blood Pressure.

“I woke up on the morning of the 3RD JUNE 2015 not realizing that I would be hospitalized BARELY holding on to my LIFE by the end of that day. I drowned and incurred horrific injuries in the Accra floods only 12 months ago. Doctors didn’t know if I would walk again, this was the day the REST of my life CHANGED. From this day last year, EVERYDAY has been a STRUGGLE physically, mentally and emotionally. But as I look at this image I regain my STRENGTH. #FaithbuilderFamily unlike so many souls we lost this time last year – I SURVIVED!!!. I forgot the long list of wishes I ask God for daily and simply asked him to just simply to “LET ME LIVE!”. My injuries from the flood caused me to be hospitalized for over a month with 13 metal staples in my back and 2 metal plates, I could not WALK without assistance. I remember the lives I saw disappear around me and I am forever THANKFUL to God. As long as you have BREATH
#FaithbuilderFamily we must keep going to be the BEST we can be! Your life is not only SPECIAL but there is someone who is SURVIVING due to your STRENGTH. Because the fact that you didn’t die in YOUR struggles proves that you should ALWAYS be on a journey to become BETTER!. Never forget God is ALWAYS MOVING in your life. So many times we look for God to do an earth moving miracle right before our eyes. What we need to understand is God is NOT a genie in a bottle. Just because you don’t SEE IT, it doesn’t mean He is not moving for YOU. Maybe He SAVED YOU from a tragedy this morning and you don’t even know it. Today #Faithbuilders as we remember all the victims and families of the flood, thank God for the miracles you don’t even know of. If you are LIVING then you are a MIRACLE!…#Blessed #3rdJune2015
