A UK-based Nigerian lawyer, Dele Olawanle has taken to social media to applaud his wife for leaving her teaching career for seven years to raise their children.

Mr Dele Olawanle celebrated his wife’s lovely deeds of kindness on the microblogging platform, Twitter.

He shared a video of himself at his daughter’s graduation ceremony and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to thank her for everything she had done for the family.

According to him, his wife quit her work for seven years to raise their children during their adolescence into wonderful people before eventually going back to school to pursue her own degree.

He tweeted;

“PLEASE HELP ME TO THANK MY WIFE FOR SPENDING TIME TO RAISE OUR CHILDREN WELL. Today, the last of them graduated in law like her brothers.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has knocked his colleague, Brymo, for revealing that he rejected a feature request from his wife, Simi, because she refused to sleep with him.

Brymo made this surprising revelation on Friday, July 22, in response to a fan who asserted that Adekunle Gold should have featured him on his latest album.

The fan commented, “Brymo suppose dey ur album”.

In response to the tweet, Brymo revealed that Adekunle Gold initially reached out to him for a feature. However, it appears he failed to follow-up because he turned down his wife’s request for a collaboration years ago because she refused to get intimate with him.

He tweeted, “though AG reached out later, I like to think that he didn’t check in again, by will or fate because I turned down same request many years before…I also did same with Simi… said I wanted to get intimate to create intensity..
I didn’t know they were together of course”

His revelation didn’t sit well with Adekunle Gold and he warned him against disrespecting his wife and his family. He further told Brymo to get help.

Nigerian businesswoman, Sumbo Adeoye, and her husband, Pastor David Adeoye, are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary today, July 22.

To mark the milestone, Sumbo took to her Instagram page to share beautiful family portraits and celebrated her husband for being a wonderful husband to her.

She also thanked him for accepting her two boys, whom she shares with singer 2Face Idibia, with an open heart and arms.

In the lengthy post, Sumbo who got married to her pastor husband in 2013, showered him with praises and sweet words, and prayed for more happiness in their marriage.

Skitmaker, Trinity Guy released on bail after weeks in prison

Nigerian skitmaker, Trinity Guy, has been released on bail after being remanded in prison by an Oyo state magistrate court over a lewd skit involving a minor.

Recall that the Instagram content creator, known for his extreme pranks, was summoned by the Oyo State Police a few weeks ago over a disturbing skit in which he sexualized a minor.

He honored the police invitation and was arraigned before a family court sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Monday, June 26.

In her ruling, Magistrate Mrs. P.O. Adetuyibi ordered that the skit maker be remanded in the Agodi Correctional Facility in Ibadan until July 11, when the case will come up for mention.

In a new development, his colleague, Cute Abiola, has taken to social media to reveal that he has been released on bail.

He shared a photo of Trinity Guy on Saturday, July 22, and wrote,

Black American Hollywood actor, Jamie Foxx has opened up for the first time since being hospitalized following a mysterious “medical complication” in April.

The 55-year-old Oscar winner fought back tears as he divulged the hellish experience he went through in an emotional video on Instagram Friday night.

The actor didn’t disclose the nature of his illness but revealed that he is on the road to recovery.

Foxx praised his sister, Deondra Dixon, and daughter, Corinne Foxx, 29, for saving his life.

He said;

“I went through something I thought I would never ever go through. I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear an update but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me like that man,’ he admitted, with tears in his eyes,” he went on.

Reality TV star, Bamike Adenibuyan, also known as BamBam, has stated that she is just concerned with her husband’s opinions and not with what online trolls say.

The mother of two shared this in an interview with Punch Saturday Beats while talking about her feelings regarding cyberbullies and their ideas.

According to her, everyone had the right to have and express any opinions they choose, but those that mean most to her are those of her spouse, Teddy A.

“I do not care about trolls (cyber bullies), because it is important that the world knows that everyone is entitled to their opinions. Popular Nigerian singer, Davido’s alleged pregnant side chick, Anita Brown, has teased a diss track for the singer amidst pregnancy allegation.

Recall that just a few weeks ago that the American model called out Davido, revealing their love relationship and how it resulted in a pregnancy.

The brother of the Nigerian influencer who was brutally murdered by her boyfriend, Killaboi, has debunked viral claims that the accused bought them a house.

Recall that Austa, who boasted over hundred thousand followers, was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Lagos recently over alleged betrayal and infidelity.

Killaboi, who was once arrested by EFFC in connection with fraud, caused a significant uproar on social media when he publicly confessed to killing her.

At the time, online reports suggested that he was the one financing her lifestyle and even bought a house for her and her mother. It was claimed that her father rejected the property, but she and her mother accepted the house.

However, Austa’s brother has now come out to refute the viral reports making rounds on social media. He clarified that they lost their father when Austa was only six months, rendering claims that he rejected a house gift false.

He also revealed that they were residing in a rented apartment in Maryland, Lagos, where they collectively contributed money each month to cover the rent. This contradicts the assertions suggesting that they were living in a house purchased by her boyfriend.

He wrote in part,

Popular Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi, has taken to social media to publicly shoot his shot at veteran actress, Kate Henshaw.

The thespian and fitness enthusiast celebrated her 52nd birthday recently and Kunle seized the opportunity to openly declare his affection for her.

Despite the 18-year age gap between them, the 34-year-old actor stated that he wants to take her on a romantic date and doesn’t mind the age difference because age is just a number.

The Anikulapo star shared a photo of the actress on his Instagram page and captioned it with a very poetic message.

US-based Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi’s ex-husband, Justin Dean, has shared new details of their estranged relationship while clearing misconceptions about him.

During a recent live session, Justin Dean stated that he’s finally coming out to share his own side of the story because he’s tired of the lies.

According to Dean, Korra has made several false accusations against him in the past for her own financial gains. He claimed she sold different lies about him over the past two years to boost her earnings on Facebook.

Contrary to Korra’s allegations, Dean maintained that he was a devoted husband who dedicated his life to her happiness and the growth of her career.

Recounting how they met, Dean revealed that they met at a club in China, and their love blossomed within weeks.

He shared that during that time, Korra faced financial challenges, and her job hardly allowed her to pursue her passion for singing and dancing. It was then that he advised her to explore content creation to fully unleash her talents.

He later decided to relocate to Los Angeles solely because of Korra, as the city is renowned for its thriving entertainment industry.

He stressed that he provided unwavering moral support to Korra, particularly during times when she felt disheartened by the initial low engagement on her content creations.

He claimed he actively participated in her content creation journey, assisting with filming, editing, and brainstorming ideas to make her content more appealing to online audiences.

However, he claimed that despite his supportive efforts, she changed completely after she achieved success, which ultimately led to the crash of their marriage.

A Nigerian man, identified as Godswill Okon, has taken to social media to rejoice after becoming a father for the first time after 13 years of marriage.

Godswill, in a series of posts on Facebook, revealed that he was mocked and shamed for not having a child but that God has finally silenced his mockers by blessing him with a child.

The new father shared a photo of himself with his beautiful baby girl and other photos of the newborn on Tuesday, July 18, with the caption,

“She just open her eye since after her birth and we looked eye ball to eye ball. E sweet oooo to be a father. We had a father and daughter conversation and at length she smiled at me. And I promised to always teach her the ways of the Lord. I didn’t forget to tell her how priceless she meant to me. That I waiting for 13 good years with shame, pains and mockery from people for not having a child, but today God decided to silence my accusers and feeds them with shame…Jesus you are so good to me.”

“The journey of thirteen years today…what God can not do hasn’t exist. Thirteen years of waiting, thirteen years of shame, thirteen years mockery, thirteen years of prayers and prophecies. Nigerian boy completes Guinness World Record attempt for most watermelon eaten in 30 seconds (video)

A 17-year-old Nigerian boy, identified as Akor Kelechi Kingsley, has successfully completed his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most watermelons eaten in 30 seconds.

The young lad embarked on the challenge on Thursday, July 20, and consumed 750g of watermelon within the 30-second time mark.

Akor confirmed that he received approval from GWR before embarking on the challenge and is now waiting for his record to be confirmed by the organization.

In other news, the Guinness World Records has finally reacted to a Nigerian man, Tembu Ebere’s attempt to break its record for the longest crying marathon by an individual.

In a bid to bag the coveted Guinness World Record plaque, like Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, Tembu Ebere embarked on a 100-hour crying marathon.

He started the bizarre attempt on Sunday, July 9, 2023, with the goal of crying continuously for seven days.

However, during the attempt, he suffered partial blindness, but this didn’t deter him as he was bent on achieving his goal. “I had to re-strategize and reduce my wailing,” he said.

Speaking with the BBC, he revealed that he started experiencing severe headaches, puffy eyes, and a swollen face from the constant crying before going temporarily blind for 45 minutes.

Reacting to Ebere’s attempt, GWR, via its official Twitter handle, revealed that “the longest marathon crying” is not part of its category of records.

According to GWR, its team would not ever monitor a record for the longest marathon crying.

In a recent interview with MTV Base Africa, Simi clarified that their relationship was strictly professional.

Popular Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, has taken to social media to share her experiences with love.

In a post on her official Instagram page on Thursday, July 20, the thespian revealed that she has been in love with someone who didn’t love her back

She also admitted that she has been in a situation where someone loved her deeply, but she didn’t feel the same way for them.

Speaking further, she wondered which is worse between having her heart broken or breaking someone else’s heart.

In other news, Yvonne Jegede, has called out her ex-husband, Kunle Fawole, otherwise known as Abounce, for neglecting their son, Xavier, since his birth.

The actress, who married her now-ex-husband, Abounce, in February 2017 and welcomed a son with him in November 2018, accused him of being a deadbeat dad who has never made an effort to see his child or speak to him.

Speaking in a recent interview with actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Yvonne said Kunle only came around to acknowledge their son when she threatened that she would remove his surname from Xavier’s name if he didn’t show up.

She said she had to insist that their son bear her and his father’s surnames, Jegede-Fawole, because she was the one who suffered so much and cleared her account to go to America to birth him.

A 30-year-old man has taken to social media to lament bitterly after uncovering his mother’s paternity fraud.

The young man, identified on Twitter with the handle @EnergyEqual, revealed that he just discovered the man he believed to be his father all this while is not his biological parent.

Although he didn’t reveal details of how he found out, he noted that the situation has left him depressed, and he is unsure how to cope with having her as his mother.

“This is depressing for me. God, please help me. Finding out daddy is not my father after 30 years, God! Mummy why? How do I continue this life having you as a mother?” he wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian Twitter user, simply identified as Bamidele, has asserted that it is a man’s responsibility to care for a child, even if he finds out that the child is not his biological offspring.

She expressed this opinion via her Twitter handle while advocating for husbands to overlook cases of paternity fraud committed by their wives.

Bamidele argued that if a man conducts a DNA test on his child and the results show that the baby belongs to someone else, as long as he is in a relationship with the woman, he should still take custody of the child.

According to her, women endure a lot during childbirth, and it is only right for men to treat them better regardless of the situation.

She wrote, “Men, if you conduct a DNA test on your baby and find out the child is not biologically yours, as long as you are still with the woman, it is your responsibility to take custody of the baby. It doesn’t change anything. Women go through a lot in childbirth, and women deserve better.”

Nigerian sensational singer, Simisola Kosoko, popularly known by her stage name Simi, has opened up about her decision to quit gospel music.

During her appearance on the interview segment of MTV Base Africa’s programme, Official Naija Top 10, Simi revealed that she switched to secular music due to the challenges she faced in the gospel music industry.

Simi disclosed that during her time as a gospel artist, her typical performance fee ranged from N5,000 to N10,000, with the highest amount she ever received being N70,000.

However, at some point, she had to stop singing gospel music because the earnings were insufficient to cover studio sessions and promotions.

“I actually used to go to a lot of churches to perform. They will pay me like N5k, N10k. Do you know the highest amount of money I actually collected when I was doing gospel [music]? N70,000. And I felt like I had arrived. I still paid a 10 per cent tithe from the money.” She said.

In other news, Simi has revealed that she has never experienced heartbreak in a relationship.
