The woman with the world’s longest dreadlocks has found love with a hair stylist whose massive dreadlocks rivals her own.
Real-life ‘Rasta-Rapunzel‘, Asha Mandela, has locks that measure a lengthy 55ft – longer than a London bus.
Now the 50-year-old, from Florida, has found a match made in heaven with new husband, Emmanuel Chege, a qualified hair stylist from Kenya. Asha said:
‘It’s really added spice in the bedroom and it does not get in the way of anything at all. ‘There are times when my hair will be on the bed with us and we can use it for whatever or we put it on the floor if we want it out of the way.’
Asha and Emmanuel met online three years ago after he was struck by pictures of her famous dreadlocks on hair websites.
He decided to contact Asha, and when she visited Kenya on business eight months later, the chemistry between them was undeniable. A whirlwind romance followed, and within eight months of meeting, Asha and Emmanuel were married in America.
Now, almost two years later, Asha has entrusted the care of her precious dreads solely to Emmanuel.
Emmanuel, who has worked as a hair stylist for 15 years, spends his days lovingly grooming Asha’s three-stone dreadlocks.Asha, who owns her own hair product business, was told by doctors her dreadlocks would paralyse her if she kept on growing them as the weight of her hair is affecting her back.
They take two days to wash and dry and require full-time care and Emmanuel devotes countless hours to their upkeep. He is also growing his own dreadlocks and hopes to become the male record holder in the future.
Asha said:
‘My husband helps me with everything with my hair. I’m so spoilt since he’s been taking care of it and I’ve
got totally lazy.
‘He will massage my scalp, groom my hair or twist or wash it. He does a really good job of taking care of it so that’s a plus.’
The couple have talked about having children in the future, and hope their child will continue their dreadlocks legacy.
Asha said:
‘If we are blessed with children, no comb is going to go on their head. ‘There will be locks straight from birth, however long that takes to come in. ‘If we going to be lucky enough to be blessed with a child, it’s going to be a cute little Rasta baby.’
A man identified as David Enyinna Chuks has cried after fraudsters continued to use his pictures to defraud women.
The victim wrote:
“Good evening, I am David Enyinnaya Chuks and that’s my name on Facebook too. Recently, someone has been impersonating me using my recent pictures to defraud women. He or she will make them fall in love with him, thereby making them believe they are talking to the guy in the pics.
He only ends up asking them for money after making most of them fall in love with him. He will simply lie to them that his mom is sick and needs urgent attention and some of them, out of love, will send huge money to him. Please help me publish so that it will go viral incase he or she tries to impersonate me again. .
.He has scammed a lot of people already. I wont like a situation whereby I come back to Nigeria and get arrested for what I didn’t do. Please help me. Just last week alone, 4-5 friends complained to me that they saw my pics with different names as someone that they may know on Facebook timeline.
Please help post this so that these women wont be scammed again. Some of them are already in love with my pics but with the wrong individual. This is really bad. I want the general public to know so that they can help me spread the news on Facebook and other social media. My real facebook name is David Enyinnaya Chuks. Thanks and God bless
The Code of Conduct Tribunal has dismissed an application by the senate president, Bukola Saraki, for false asset declaration charges against him to be dropped.
Saraki’s lawyer, Kanu Agabi, had argued that the 13-count charge was invalid procedurally because the Code of Conduct Bureau which filed the charges, failed to allow Mr. Saraki explain discrepancies in his assets declaration forms as required by law.
But in his ruling Thursday, the chairman of the tribunal, Danladi Umar, said there was no breach of law as the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act, 1989, still allows the senate president raise his clarifications at the level of the tribunal.
Mr. Danladi said by law, the CCB could receive complaints of breach of the Act and refer such complaints to the Tribunal, provided that it will allow the person involved to give a statement affirming or denying the said misconduct.
He therefore ordered the continuation of the trial.
Saraki had earlier lost his bid to stop the trial after the the Supreme Court dismissed his initial objections.

It’s been almost to a year since Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau made an appearance. It was reported by many that the leader was dead, even some reported that he had fled..
But as of today, 24th of March, 2016, a video by the Leadership, shows the kingpin, Abubakar Shekau who was rumoured to have been killed, advising his followers to “surrender to save themselves”.
Shekau in the video below appeared to have surrendered to constant bombardments by the Nigerian army troops.
Shekau who spoke in Arabic for most part of the video, did not cut the angry, bloodthirsty maniac yelling “kill, kill, kill ” in grainy videos, common in the heydays of the terrorist group.
But more remarkably he apologised for some of the insurgent group’s actions. According to him he has listened to the plea from true believers. He subsequently ended the speech with: “May God forgive us our sins.”

Tiwa Savage is one heck of a woman! She truly is the one.
Lol… Don’t mind my one is… just tryna play with words.
LMAO!!! Things like this gives me chills, I’d always want to see the result. Can you imagine a Nigerian woman so sure of her husband’s loyalty to her that she even accepts a challenge to test him?
Wow… I don’t know what to say to this lady though cause I’m a Nigerian man too… and I wouldn’t want my woman (if I have one) to test my loyalty especially on Social media… Kanji is a retard oh!! Lol…
Fellas, what are your thoughts on this? and females.. How well do you trust your men?
So one of the photos making rounds on Social media shows Iara Oshiomole, wife of Edo state governor greeting an Edo chief who is bowing down to her.
The dignitary of the state is being slammed for bowing down to a woman which has caused mixed feelings. While many feel it’s because of her skin, some feel if she were Nigerian, he would never bow down to her… Others say it’s sacrilege…
Although, some feel he was just being respectful cause her position as the first lady demands it…
Lots of Nigerian twitter users have got mixed reactions to a hash tag currently trending on Twitter. The hash tag #IStandWithBuhari was apparently created for people who are still in support of President Muhammed Buhari despite the current hardships going on in the country.

Two Nigerians were brutally beaten with cricket and baseball bats by a group of 12 men after one of them scolded a boy for hurling a water-filled balloon at him in New Delhi on Sunday, March 20, local media reports.
The victims, Evwrirhe Isaac, a football coach with a soccer club in Gulmohar Bagh, and his roommate, Abdul are yet to return to their house in Dwaka Mor since the incident because they have been receiving threatening calls.
“We are so scared… we are staying in my friend’s home and planning to leave this area. But we will fight and will try to get justice,” said Isaac.
Most of the residents told police they were not at home at the time of the attack, others claimed they knew nothing about it,
“We have registered a case under several appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code at Uttam Nagar police station and efforts are on to nab the accused,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Pushpendra Kumar told the newspaper.
Isaac said he was on his way to the market when a boy hurled a water-filled balloon at him. This angered Isaac and he caught hold of the boy and scolded him. He left the boy with a shopkeeper. Once he left, the boy’s brother arrived at the shop and the shopkeepers told him what happened.
“Within minutes, some people knocked on my door and began shouting. They then barged inside, ransacked my home and assaulted me and my roommate Aliyu Abdul,” said Isaac.
“They were hitting me… I pleaded with them to spare my life. I somehow managed to free myself and ran towards the balcony. They chased me and pushed me from the second floor of the building,” he added.
Speaking of the incident, his roommate Abdul said, “I kept telling them that I was not with Isaac during the incident, but they did not stop.”
Isaac claimed police registered a case only after senior officers intervened. “I went to the police station and requested them to help me out, but they refused to help, saying there was a strike going on in a government hospital, so they could not take me anywhere,” he added.
Isaac, who have been in India for eight years and has played for leading football clubs, said:
“I have been living in Dwarka for three years in a rented accomodation. I am used to people passing racist remarks, I have always ignored them. But what happened with us on Sunday was something beyond racism. We were beaten up so badly—we could have been killed.”
The hacking group Anonymous issued a declaration against ISIS that it will increase its cyber attacks on the terror group after the terror attacks in Brussels, Belgium.
The group released its so-called ‘Op Brussels’ yesterday in which it vowed to continue ‘hacking their websites, shutting down their Twitter accounts and stealing their Bitcoins’.
The speaker in the Anonymous video said:
‘We have silenced thousands of Twitter accounts directly linked to ISIS. We severely punish Daesh on the dark net, hacked their electronic portfolio and stolen money from the terrorists.’
‘We have laid siege to your propaganda websites, tested them with our cyber attacks, however we will not rest as long as terrorists continue their actions around the world.
‘We will strike back against them… we will defend the rights of freedom and tolerance.’
They made a similar threat after the Paris attack but the terror group didn’t take them seriously. ISIS’s online unit, the Islamic Cyber Army, hit back, branding the group ‘idiots’ and declaring: ‘What they gonna hack…all they can do is hacking twitter accounts, emails, etc.’
ISIS militants use a number of encrypted messaging services, email providers, and GPS blockers to communicate under the radar.

Popular AOP, Toolz Oniru, yesterday took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the gender equality bill thrown out by the Nigerian Senate at the last plenary session.
“A lot of women were appalled when the gender equality bill was thrown out, but after talking about it extensively on radio and everywhere else, I came to the conclusion that we as Nigerian (African) women have a lot to do ourselves before things can change positively,” the OAP said.
“What is it about our society that makes tearing each other down the first thing a lot of women think to do?” She asked, and then she launched into a story about how she feels insecure when she see women who are more successful.
“But I’ve learnt to change that energy,” she added. “Now I get so inspired…I think if she can do great things, so can I….I think ‘she’s doing great, so I better get my sh*t together and move up this success ladder.”

Emeka Ike is now the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, following a court ruling that stripped actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima, of her position.
She was removed from the position after a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos ruled on March 23, 2016, that Ike will now take the rein of power after a long legal battle.
Femi Durojaiye, the National Secretary of the AGN, made this known in a statement that reads:
“The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, this morning 23/3/2016 at the application and argument of Counsel to Actors Guild of Nigeria, Barr. Peter Andor Oboyi, struck out Ibinabo’s and BOT suit challenging the nullification of her election to the Presidency of AGN and also challenging the legitimacy of the Presidency of Emeka Ike and his Exco. The implication of this judgement is that Engr. Emeka Ike led Exco remain the only authentic and lawful leaders of Actors Guild of Nigeria,”
The court decision came after eight months of contest over the rightful leader of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
It also came at the heels of a Lagos High Court sentencing of Fiberesima to 5 years in prison for reckless driving that resulted in the death of Dr. Giwa Suraj.
The new AGN President, Emeka Ike, is one of the old actors in Nollywood. He is reported to have featured in over 60 movies.
On 23rd of March, 2016, former beauty queen, Dabota Lawson spoke up for the first time about accusations that she bleached her skin by engaging her fans on the topic. “Why are people pained when someone alters their own body,” the meme she posted read, “Is it your body, money or life?”
“Why all the aggression and hate towards another person because they choose to change something about themselves,” she continued, “What’s really the problem?”
Old Dabota
A while back, the former beauty queen got into a messy social media fight with blogger SDK after the later accused her of bleaching. Now, Ms Lawson is boldly confronting that question on social media, though she dared followers to say something negative. “Simple answers only. Discuss and don’t be rude. I’ll block you in a second,” she said.
New Dabota
Well, while many of her fans accused critics of jealousy, some dared to say the contrary. See the reactions:
And here’s Dabota Lawson’s reply to all the comments:
Yesterday, news surfaced that rapper and member of A Tribe Called Quest, Phife Dawg, had passed away. The rapper had died at the age of 45 after having complications resulting from diabetes. Fans of the rapper took to social media to mourn and express their grief; however, one fan in particular felt Phife’s death was the perfect opportunity to come after popular Nigerian American rapper, Wale.
For unknown reasons, the fan took to his Twitter page to state that Wale should have been the one dead instead of Phife. Wale immediately reacted and slammed the hateful Twitter user for being disrespectful, calling him a sick person. He also warned the guy to expect that his fans will come after him for making such a statement.
