Judy Austin, actress and second wife of popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has for the first time taken to social media to directly address those criticizing her marriage to the actor.
In a video shared via Yul’s official Facebook page, Judy, who recently welcomed her second child with the actor, expressed outrage at those constantly trolling her and her husband.
She said she has had enough of the insults and incessant criticisms, and knocked Nigerians for wanting to control her life and that of her husband.
According to her, it makes no sense for Nigerians to be trying to dictate the way a man in his forties should lead his life, adding that those who consistently visit their page to criticize them are exhibiting signs of mental instability.
In addition, she criticized the notorious blogger, Gist Lover, for spreading unscrupulous and unverified rumors about her, which subsequently subjected her to cyberbullying.
She added that her year-long silence does not mean she doesn’t know what to say or desire to clear her name but right now, she has had enough of self-righteous individuals judging and criticizing her on on social media.
Speaking further, Judy queried Nigerians if they know the underlying reason why Yul took her as his second wife, and warned them to stop judging a situation they don’t understand.

According to Esther, she plans to visit Nigeria to meet her boyfriend’s family. However, she is unsettled by the fact that he’s asking her to bear all the travel expenses.

Trevboi, a former signee and associate of popular singer, Davido, has been declared wanted for the murder of a man, identified simply as Kenny, at a nightclub in Lagos.
The incident reportedly took place in the late hours of Sunday, July 16, at Bar 38 Nightclub in the Fadeyi area of Lagos state.
Based on accounts from eyewitnesses, trouble started around 9pm when Trevboi refused to pay his bill of N52,000. When he tried to leave the club without settling his bill, he was stopped by a bouncer stationed at the entrance.
He reportedly got into an argument with the bouncer and Kenny, who was also present at the club, stepped in between the men to stop the brewing fight. Sadly, the suspect pulled out his gun and reportedly shot him in the stomach, killing him on the spot.
A friend of the deceased took to social media to relay the heartbreaking incident and demand justice for the death of his friend.

According to reports, Guinness World Records said that since Hilda Baci’s record, there has been an increase in the number of would-be record breakers from Nigeria, with 1500 applications received.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has taken legal action against his mechanic after he publicly advised him to sell his Mercedes G-Wagon as scrap metal.
Recall that a few days ago, the Zazu Zeh star was involved in a ghastly accident that wrecked his newly acquired Mercedes Benz Brabus.
Following the incident, the damaged vehicle was taken to a mechanic for repair, who then filmed and posted the wrecked car online.
In the video, the mechanic candidly shared his thoughts on the wrecked luxury car, suggesting that it would be better off sold as scrap.
According to the mechanic, the automobile was severely damaged, and repairing it would be prohibitively expensive.
“Sell your G-Wagon as scrap at Ladipo Market so they will use it as spare parts. The whole G-Wagon is a complete write-off. The engine of the G-Wagon has been affected by the accident, and repairing it is almost impossible,” he said.
This did not sit well with the singer, who viewed it as an invasion of his privacy, and subsequently took legal action against the mechanic.
The mechanic was reportedly arrested following the viral video.
In an online video, the mechanic was seen being lectured about the singer’s reputation, in what appeared to be a police station.
He was instructed to publicly apologize to the singer, which he did. The mechanic apologized, stating that he was unaware that the car belonged to Portable.
He expressed remorse for any inconvenience his actions may have caused the singer.
“A car was brought to my company for repair, and I gave my honest opinion based on what I saw. It has come to my knowledge that the car belongs to Zazuu, which is Portable. Additionally, I have seen videos circulating without my consent. I take this opportunity to apologize to Zazuu for any inconvenience the video has caused you,” he said.
Portable, through his Instagram stories, also shared a screenshot of a fan’s comment supporting his decision to take legal action against the mechanic.
A wedding ceremony in Warri, Delta State, was disrupted on Saturday, July 15, when the hall designated for the wedding reception was overtaken by floodwater.

A domestic worker who was accused of allegedly killing his employer with a pestle in Awka, the Anambra State capital, has confessed to the crime.
The suspect was employed as a househelp by the deceased, identified as Chima Anolue, a lecturer in the Psychology Department at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Anolue was attacked with a pestle when a fight broke out between him and the domestic help on the night of Friday, July 14, 2023, in Ifite village, Awka.
The suspect is also said to have bruised the deceased’s body with a knife after he became unconscious, in an attempt to make it look as if he was attacked by a third party.
Local security personnel apprehended the attacker, and during interrogation, he confessed to the act. Initially, he denied killing his employer but later admitted to the crime after he was severely beaten when his behavior became suspicious.
Confessing to the crime, he said,
“When he came back, he told me to cook rice. And as I was cooking the rice, he asked me why I did not wash plates. I did not reply. He then asked why I wasn’t responding to his question.
In the process, he slapped me. But I told him I usually have ear problems, and that people don’t slap me. As I was saying that, he angrily asked why I was interrupting him and he slapped me again.
I got angry and we started fighting. After he overpowered me, I looked around and saw a pestle which I used in hitting him. I struck him three times with the pestle and stopped after he started bleeding”.

The disturbing occurrence took place a few days ago, according to his account, when Tizzy accepted a ride request from a passenger.

Then the guy started the argument and I kept quiet but I made my point clear that I’ve been doing bolt driver in Ibadan for 3yrs now , that if the app doesn’t read they will add the price for the trip to drop his friend at Uch to the 3,700 on the app, so after I dropped is friend.
After 5mins of pretending to have fainted he left me and told me that sabi I still get strength now, make I come fight again now, I just ran out of the gate and when to pick up my phone in my car and made a video clip of how my face look
He told me to call my account number which is opay and he dropped from my car without showing me the receipt for the money he sent , when I was about entering the house, I ask if he had sent the money, he say yeah. Then I checked my opay and found the 3,800 balance.
I went to drop him at his house, when I got to his house, I ended the trip and the price was 3,800, so 100naira was added for the paid waiting time before he entered my car of about 9mins paid waiting, and I showed the guy that the trip didn’t read for the movement of is friend.
“Then I dropped from my car and opened the gate to the house to call his notice to the money he sent, that it was not our agreement not to add to the fare, then next action was the guy started harassing me and tell my I’m very stupid for coming inside his gate to meet him.”
Before I could realize myself, he already throw me on the ground and started punching my face with my mouth and head, and didn’t stop strangling my neck, I was even shouting at the top of my voice that what will he gain if he kills me, then I just had to pretend like I fainted.
I tried calling him and he already blocked my line, my friend tried help me chatting him up and he said he’s in Lagos.
I asked for the amount of the trip and he told me 3,700 before I started the ride, then I told me that he’s going to add to the fare for me going to drop is friend at Uch , then we all start arguing that the app is going to read for all the trip and i immediately said app no read.
I’ve gone to kuola police station to report him and the police got my statement down and ordered some officers to go along with me to his house, the gate was locked the first time we check, we went back today again and the agent we met told us he dropped the key to the house.

Big Brother Naija star, Phyna, has revealed that she had a tough experience growing up and started working at a very young age.
According to her, she began working at her aunt’s restaurant, where she was residing at the young age of 3.
Phyna mentioned that her father was in a serious accident, forcing her to temporarily suspend her studies in order to help her family during this tough period.
She spent two years in the hospital by her father’s side, offering him with care and companionship.
Phyna discussed her experiences on The Nancy Isime Show, where she was joined by her colleague, Hermes.
She said;
“Growing up for me wasn’t really easy. I actually grew up with my aunt, my dad’s elder sister in Auchi. And my aunt sells food, it’s a restaurant.
Now, imagine a young girl at a restaurant at a very tender age. At 3, I was already in a restaurant serving men.
And there is a point my dad had an accident, they needed somebody to be with him at the hospital.
I think I just finished my JSS3 then and I had to go with dad from one hospital to another. That caused me SS1 and 2.
On coming back [to school], they said I should go back to SS1 but I was like, no, I will join my mates in SS3. They gave me a series of exams, I wrote, I passed.
Then my parents felt like I needed to go and learn handwork because furthering [my education] is highly impossible.
So, that was when I realised, dem don born me dem don born me, it’s time to hustle.
I attended a federal school. I think my school fee was N14,500 then. I think that was when the hustle started.
I Started making meat pie, buns, I became my class Rep, I make hair. I saved as low as N50 then. We go to shows, we dance, they pay us, we share.
After finishing school, I went to serve [NYSC]. I was doing that, I had other part time jobs. I think that was when I took up hyping.
I think I followed my friends to the club, I was listening to the hype guy, and I realised I can actually do what he is doing. And that was it.

In other news, a Nigerian man has reportedly threatened to divorce his wife for refusing to get pregnant again after having four children.
An event compere based in Akwa Ibom, identified as Imaan Mike Umoh, shared the incident on Facebook on Thursday, July 13.
According to Umoh, the couple on his street got into a verbal altercation when the lady failed to conceive again and the husband accused her of taking birth control.
“Serious fight in my street now. Husband threatened to divorce his wife if she refused to get pregnant for the 5th child. Suspecting his wife of taking contraceptives,” he wrote.
A Lagos big boy identified as Abayomi Segun Oluwasesan, has been detained by International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) officers in Nigeria for allegedly hacking his company’s blockchain and stealing billions of Naira.
According to INTERPOL, Abayomi was hired as a web developer by Afriq Arbitrage System, a worldwide crypto space, on June 15, 2022, but he hacked the platform when his employer, Jesam Micheal, was undergoing a liver transplant and handed the codes to him.
Abayomi, who was entrusted with sensitive data for the seamless operation of the organization, recruited the services of his cronies, disrupting the platform’s smooth functioning and stealing millions of dollars from hard-earned investors.
According to estimates, he removed at least $87 million and spent it lavishly.
He established Fidoray Autos and imported more than 30 unique wonders on wheels. He also purchased a home and obtained a resident visa in the United Kingdom, as well as Tanzania and Dubai, UAE.
He spent N450 million on one of his Lagos plazas, N1 billion on landed properties near Dangote refineries, and a billion naira on the interior decorating of his hotel in Mainland, Lagos State.
