Responding to followers, Seraki who is proudly married to two Wives, reacted to his Facebook post on Thursday, June 1, said that fights and rivalry are part of polygamy and he has never made it look easy.

In his words ;

“I never said polygamy is easy. I mean, I live polygamy daily, I know it’s ups and down. I am not the standard of polygamy, my failures and successes do not guarantee anything to any other person out there,” he said.

“If I fail, it does not mean you will fail. I have done so many things people told me I can’t do and aced them. We live once…if you strongly believe in something, do it. At least you would have tried.”

“Just like any family out there, we fight, and I came across a few fights! We also differ on certain issues! From simple things as naming of kids to investments! It’s a whole array of feelings! We don’t like our past, or the past! We do everything in our power to avoid the past, but this morning I realized that my past, my past with my wives have so many beautiful memories. Once in a while, sit alone and revisit your past with your partner, there are so many good memories over there! What is happening right now does not represent everything about you guys, at times, use your past as a spring board to love each other again! I love you Kagiso. I love you Mpho.”

Taking to his Facebook page, the self-acclaimed life coach said they should prepare to be called a ‘simp and woman wrapper’ for choosing to love and treat their wife right.

Video director finally replies model who said she was rejected on set because of her skin colour

Video director finally replies

A Nigerian video director, who was accused of rejecting a video vixen because of her skin colour, has finally reacted to the allegation.

The model, identified simply as Ewa, made headlines few days ago after she revealed that she was rejected by an artiste because she didn’t match the ‘aesthetics’ of the shoot.

She stated that she felt so humiliated and disrespected by the artiste and his crew, stating that they should not have booked her for the video shoot if they didn’t like her physical appearance.

Video director finally replies

Read her full post below,

Though she didn’t reveal the identity of the artiste, the video director in charge of the shoot has gone online to address the allegation.

The director who goes by the handle @bushboymarc explained that they meticulously selected a model from an online portfolio. However, when she arrived, she looked significantly different from her online profile, leading them to make the decision to request an alternative model.

His words,

“This is such a heartbreaking and false narrative. As a video director, I carefully selected models for this shoot (through an agency) based on their online portfolio and pictures but the reality was starkly different. The model didn’t match the vision or the storyboard so I had to make the difficult decision to request another model. This had nothing to do with skin color, as I value diversity and inclusivity. I even took out time to speak to her and compensated her for her time. It’s disheartening to see this narrative being twisted into an issue of skin color. Let’s focus on celebrating talent, professionalism, and the power of visual storytelling.”

“You fit go sell your house buy another one because of me” – Seyi Vibes slams Zinoleesky as they unfollow each other on Instagram

Seyi Vibes slams

There appears to be an ongoing feud between indigenous Nigerian singers, Seyi Vibez and Zinoleesky, as they have been throwing brazen jabs at each other.

It all started when Seyi Vibez released a snippet of his new song ‘Amdallah’ on his social media page. Shortly after, Zinoleesky went online to tease his fans with the snippet of his song, asking if he should drop it to cause trouble in the music industry.

“Just waking up, what’s happening? My people, should I scatter everywhere? Should I post this snippet? Let me post this snippet”, he said.

Though Zinoleesky did not mention any names in the video, Seyi Vibez felt it was a subtle attack at him since he had just released his music snippet.

He then went online to respond to Zinoleesky, stating that he does not care if he releases his snippet because he is not in competition with anybody.

The ‘Bullion Van’ crooner also bragged about being an independent artist who doesn’t need a record label to be successful in the music industry.

Seyi Vibes slams

“I didn’t say y’all shouldn’t drop Snippet, I’ve got a lot of songs, no competition. You can even drop for your Record Label. I’m independent,” Seyi Vibez said in the video. Read here

While one would have thought the drama has ended there, Zinoleesky, during a recent Instagram live session, took a swipe at a certain musician whom he said his song will not top the music charts regardless of what he does.

Infuriated by this, Seyi Vibez, in a series of Instastory posts, referred to Zinoleesky, who is signed to Marlian music, as a “label slave” and stated that he won’t be surprise if he decides to sell his current house and buy a new one just because of him.

“Now you fit say you wan sell your house go buy another one because of me!!
Lmao!
Your number 1 songs got you an apartment!
That’s why you are angry!”

“If them dey talk about the artiste wey you sabi pass for this kabal, put my name aside label slave. Anybody wey wish me bad soon God go take the person happiness away”, he wrote.

The duo have also unfollowed each other on Instagram.

NSCDC rescues 25-year-old woman locked up in a room for years in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has successfully rescued a 25-year-old woman who was locked in a room by her father for several years.

According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the NSCDC in the state, CSC Adamu Shehu, the rescue operation was initiated following a complaint lodged by a human rights activist at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters.

The activist reported that a young woman named Ummi had been confined to a room in her father’s house without any freedom.

Following the complaint, NSCDC operatives promptly went to the house and discovered the young woman in an emaciated and unkempt condition.

The statement further confirmed that the father and stepmother of the victim have been apprehended by the NSCDC.

The statement read,

“On Friday, 26th of May, 2023, operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Jigawa State Command arrested one Garba Musa, a 67-year-old man from Takur Site, Dutse LGA, Jigawa State, and his wife Aisha Abubakar, a 50-year-old woman, on a suspected case of violence against a person.”

The complaint received by the NSCDC revealed that Ummi, the 25-year-old daughter of the suspect, had been locked up in a room within the house for several years without being allowed to leave. The NSCDC operatives swiftly responded to the complaint and rescued the 25-year-old woman, who appeared emaciated, unkempt, and in a state of depression. The room in which she was confined served as both her living space and toilet, with food being served on the bare floor.

According to the father, his daughter is suffering from a mental illness and had been causing problems in the neighborhood, which was the reason for her confinement. He provided outpatient cards from Kazaure Psychiatric Hospital in Jigawa State, indicating that she had received treatment in 2013, 2014, and 2018.

Investigation into the matter revealed that Ummi’s mother had separated from the father about 30 years ago and had been denied access to her children, despite having six with him. Ummi’s mother is currently married to another man and resides in Huguma Town, Kano State. Aside from Ummi’s brother, who is a public servant, her four other siblings are married.

The NSCDC Command is conducting further investigations to determine the root cause of Ummi’s mental illness, considering that she was in good health up to the Junior Secondary School level before her disappearance. The goal is to find a solution to alleviate her suffering and bring an end to her ordeal.”

“I didn’t find it easy after realizing that I was pregnant. It was funny because some visitors came to our place to bring dowry for my cousin, and as girls, we were invited to entertain them. That’s how I got involved with a guy for just one night, and that’s how I conceived. Unfortunately, the guy disappeared afterward,” she said.

“I learned in day school, but I spent most of my time outside the school due to frequent illness. Eventually, my mother discovered what was happening and she was constantly reminding me of how I had wasted her hard-earned money.

“In school, students disapproved of me and often laughed at me. During that time, getting pregnant was considered taboo. However, despite being in Form Four, I persevered and managed to sit my national exams, though I didn’t perform as well as expected. It was far from an easy experience,”

“I met my first husband in our estate in Kisumu, and we began courting. However, our courtship didn’t last for even a year before we started cohabiting. I went to visit him at his workplace in Eldoret, at Keiyo South Constituency, and I never returned home because he told me we were now living as husband and wife. I informed my family, and he informed his, and we started our life together as a couple,”

Speaking on how her husband and in-laws reacted to her inability to have a child, she said,

“My mother-in-law didn’t like me from the very first day. Despite this, everything seemed to be going well after we got married in January 2006, until 2013 when I decided to stay at my in-laws’ home,”

“My husband had started working in Migori, not far from our home. The struggle of not being able to have a child began immediately after moving in with my mother-in-law in the same compound.

“I tried to ignore their comments and advice, but they persisted and eventually urged their son to marry another woman and have children of his own. He secretly married another woman, and when I found out and confronted him, he blatantly told me that he wanted children who would inherit his modest wealth. The fight continued as he lived with his second wife at his workplace while I lived alone at home.

“He neither came home nor sent money. One day, his father called me and demanded that I leave their compound. I stood my ground, reminding him that it was his son who brought me there, and therefore, he should be the one to chase me away. After some arrangements, my husband and his second wife came and told me to leave immediately. I packed my belongings and my daughter and left peacefully.

The mother of one said she suffered a great deal after she was sent out of her husband’s house.

“Initially, I struggled without a reliable source of income, especially with a daughter to take care of, considering she was in a private school. My daughter excelled in her KCPE exams and received a sponsorship from Equity. Fortunately, she also passed her Form Four exams with a clean A and secured a place at Nairobi University, still under the Equity scholarship. Before joining campus, Equity provided her with an opportunity to work at their banks, which enabled her to earn a good income and support us.”

According to Josephine, her ex-husband and in-laws now want her back after seeing her daughter’s academic success.

“My ex-husband and his family want us to reconcile because things haven’t been going well for him since I left. They have started to see the success my daughter and I have achieved despite the challenges we faced. They realise that their initial doubts about my daughter’s education due to financial constraints were unfounded, as she is now nearing completion of her studies at the university. Interestingly, my ex-husband has been unable to have any children with the second wife he married in 2014.”

Speaking on what she learned from this ordeal, she said:

“I want people to understand that patience pays off and that one shouldn’t destroy their marriage solely because of the inability to conceive. God’s timing is always the best. Additionally, women should strive to work hard and be responsible.”

“BBN is wired to be toxic” – BBNaija star, Beauty Tukura

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Beauty Tukura, has asserted that the reality TV show is designed to be “toxic.”

According to her, the reality show is “extremely toxic”, and she believes that even the fans contribute to this toxicity.

Speaking on a recent podcast, the former beauty queen, who was disqualified from the show for breaking the house rules, shared her perspective about the show.

“I was in the Big Brother House for just two weeks, and the circumstances under which I left made me feel like a lot of people didn’t really get to know me. You know how it is in the Big Brother House, whether you like it or not. I can’t explain it.

“It is extremely toxic. Even outside the house, you still witness the toxicity to some extent among the fans and all of that. I believe the show is designed that way.” She said.

However, she noted that she does not regret participating in the show.

Meanwhile, Beauty recently discussed how she has been able to use her disqualification from the show to further her development.

She said that although she initially thought it was awful, just as anyone else who experienced such would, she is still thankful it took place since it gave her the confidence she needed to confront the outside world, especially after seeing that side of herself after she left.

“I’m grateful for the lessons, I’m grateful that I can experience something like this at this stage of my life. I took time to reflect, see the video, and talk to people and I got all the closure that I needed as at that time, all the insight that I needed that time, I stayed prayed up, and with God’s help today I’m actually very happy and ready.” Beauty explained.

“Why I divorced my husband of 25 years” – Actress, Shaffy Bello

Veteran Nollywood actress, Shaffy Bello has revealed why she walked out of her 25-year marriage.

The thespian, in a chat with media personality Chude Jideonwo, said she ended her marriage because it was a long-distance union, as her estranged husband, Mr Akinrimisi, was based in the United States.

According to Shaffy, the long distance didn’t help her marriage, so she opted for a divorce.

“He [my ex-husband] was a good father to his children. But I reached a point where I wanted more. I would always travel back and forth, but I realized that if I really wanted this, it came with sacrifices. It wasn’t sacrificing the marriage itself, but rather, him being there [in the USA] and the distance didn’t help.” She said.

She stated that coping with the situation became difficult for her, which ultimately led to her decision to get a divorce.

A while ago, Shaffy Bello revealed that she does not wish to marry since she feels there are enough women in the world.

Sharing her thoughts with fellow actress, Mercy Johnson on an episode of ‘Mercy’s Menu,’ Shaffy indicated that she prefers companionship and would like to settle down with a partner but not in the traditional marriage setting.

She said;

“I am a one man kind of woman and I believe there is a lot of women here to fill a home.
That is why when I meet people or go on a date, they are women. I want to settle with someone at the end of the day, I don’t want to be 55 and then go out or have a birthday party and then come home and be all alone, I don’t want that. I want to be with someone, maybe not marriage, but a companion.”
