Veteran Nollywood actor, Harry B Anyanwu, has clapped back at an Instagram follower who made an unpleasant comment on a video he recently shared online.

The movie star recently took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself and his colleague, Brymo Uchegbu, vibing to his song.

In the video, Harry B and Brymo were seen shirtless in a room, dancing to the song while wearing big chains around their necks.

The clip garnered hilarious reactions from social media users who found the duo’s display amusing.

However, a lady’s comment seemed to have angered the actor, prompting him to curse her.

Writing in Igbo language, she commented, “Umu agadi ekwenkas” which means “Old men that have refused to get old.”

Harry B, who didn’t find the comment funny, immediately fired back.

Guinness World Records reveal their tweet announcing Hilda Baci’s record is their best performing tweet of all time

Guinness World Record has revealed that their tweet announcing Nigerian chef Hilda Baci as the record holder for the longest cooking time by an individual is their most successful tweet to date.

They made this revelation via their official Twitter handle on Thursday, May 15, two days after they officially confirmed Hilda Baci’s record.

It will be recalled that the 26-year-old chef from Akwa Ibom state embarked on a non-stop cooking marathon in May 2023, cooking for a total of 100 hours.

This surpassed the previous record held by Indian chef Lata Tondon, who cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes.

However, after a thorough review, they deducted approximately seven hours from her total time because she mistakenly took extra minutes during one of her rest breaks, resulting in the record time being adjusted to 93 hours and 11 minutes. Read here

Nigerian singer, Cynthia Morgan has berated US-based Nigerian professor, Uju Anya, over her recent post on Twitter.

Uju, who is quite controversial because of her sexuality and opinions, had taken to the microblogging platform to share photos of herself tying a wrapper around her chest and smoking a cigarette on the balcony of her home.

She captioned the post, “Minister of Enjoyment”.

This didn’t sit well with Cynthia Morgan and she expressed her disagreement with Uju for equating smoking cigarettes with enjoyment.

A while back, Uju responded to Nigerian men who criticize her for being a lesbian and claim that homosexuality is not African.

She revealed on Twitter that many of the women who slide into her direct messages to confess to being closeted lesbians are married women who are forced to stay in their marriages due to the society they live in.

Nollywood actress Judy Austin has voiced her concern that her husband, Yul Edochie, may be cheating on her.

In a video posted on her husband Yul’s Facebook page, Judy recalled a recent incident that raised her suspicion that her husband may be seeing someone else.

In the clip, Judy is heard lamenting that her husband had not returned home by 2 am and had refused to answer her calls despite her multiple attempts to contact him.

While she was lamenting, Yul Edochie arrived and Judy Austin proceeded to confront him for coming home very late.

She asked why he was just returning home and why he had refused to answer her calls or return her over 10 missed calls.

Yul, on his part, denied giving Judy Austin a cogent reason for returning home very late.

Judy Austin further asked him whether he was having an extramarital affair, but he gave no clear answer.

Judy, who apparently has access to her husband’s Facebook account, shared the video on the page with the caption, “I suspect that Yul has a girlfriend and he’s hiding it. See what happened last night. Is it fair?”

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has opined that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is turning out to be one of the most forward-thinking presidents Nigeria has witnessed in recent history.

Reno expressed his views on Twitter on Thursday morning, June 15, in reaction to the president’s recent actions since assuming office two weeks ago.

Recall that Tinubu removed fuel subsidy, unified the currency rate, signed a student loan bill and a data protection bill, among other things recently.

A young Nigerian man has taken to social media to celebrate his graduation from the university after 10 years.

Taking to the popular microblogging platform, Twitter, the man, identified as Akorede J. Ayanbisi, revealed that he has just completed his studies at the University of Lagos, where he pursued a degree in Finance.

Sharing photos of himself, the elated man wrote:

“After spending 10 years in the university education system, I have finally graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Lagos (UNILAG). I can now be addressed as both a Product Designer and a Financial Analyst. This means a lot to me, Alhamdulillah.🙏🏽”

Meanwhile, Ayanbisi had previously taken to the platform in May to share the touching story of his journey to UNILAG.

“I’ve always wanted to pursue my university education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). In 2011, I completed high school and attempted the JAMB exams in 2011, 2012, and 2013, hoping to be admitted to study Accounting at UNILAG. Unfortunately, I wasn’t granted admission during those years.

In 2014, due to my frustrations with the admission process, I decided to enroll at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to study Accounting. In 2017, during my final year and first semester at NOUN, I was inspired by my twin friends who were also my course-mates. One of them gained admission to UNILAG in 2015, and the other in 2016.

Motivated by their success, I took the JAMB again in 2017, determined not to give up on my dream of studying at UNILAG. Thankfully, I was offered admission to study Finance at UNILAG. Currently, I am in my final year and will be completing my program this June 2023, by the special grace of God.

David, who was suffering from loneliness, devised an unusual plan to fake his own death and make a grand entrance at his own funeral, where his family would be gathered.

He reportedly told his wife and daughter about his plan, and they willingly agreed to partake in the charade, even to the extent of posting about his death on social media.

The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of one of its actors, Don Brymo Uchegbu.

The veteran actor is reported to have passed away peacefully in his sleep last night at the age of 56.

Actor Mayor Ofoegbu confirmed the news in a post shared on his Facebook page on Thursday morning, June 15.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Charles Chukwu, professionally known as Crayon, has revealed how he abandoned his pursuit of a university education to focus on music.

In a recent interview with Hip TV the Mavin signee disclosed that he gave up on obtaining a university degree after taking the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) five times.

During his fifth attempt, the singer encountered a music friend named Baby Fresh who inspired him to make a “significant sacrifice” for his career.

“On the fifth try, I had already met Baby Fresh, who used to work at Mavin. Juggling school and music simultaneously is quite stressful in Nigeria. Music alone is demanding,” he said.

“So I sat down with my parents and told them, ‘Mom and Dad, I want to pursue music.’ I explained that it felt like my heart was leading me in that direction. My dad suggested that I give the fifth try a chance, and if it didn’t work out, I could pursue music.”

Crayon added that during the Post-UTME exams at the University of Lagos, he made the decision to leave the hall halfway through because he didn’t want to prioritize passing the exam over his passion for music.

It was during this period that he met music executive Don Jazzy, who subsequently signed him to the Mavin record label.

A 51-year-old Zimbabwean man, identified as Albert Rusike, has been caught red-handed while trying to have sex with a young boy.

The man, who claimed to be 35, was apprehended in a meticulously planned sting operation aimed at catching people involved in child exploitation.

A disturbing video footage of the father of two being confronted at a hotel where he allegedly went to see a 16-year-old boy was recently featured on a South African TV show.

The clever trap set by the team ensured that every detail was captured on tape, leaving no room for denial or escape.

Rusika initially denied the allegation of attempting to sleep with the boy, claiming they were only friends and that he innocently went to visit him.

However, when presented with compelling evidence of his multiple attempts to kiss the minor and how he showed pornographic videos to him, he became remorseful and started apologizing to the crew.

To make matters worse, a lubricant was discovered in his pockets, serving as incriminating evidence that his intentions were premeditated.

Meanwhile, the police have launched a comprehensive investigation into Rusike’s activities, aiming to find other potential victims and also bring him to book.

Guinness World Records has finally broken its silence regarding Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi’s 120-hour cook-a-thon.

The young lady, better known as Chef Dammy from Ekiti State, began trending on social media after she embarked on a 120-hour cooking marathon, attempting to break the record of Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, who currently holds the world record for the longest cooking time by an individual.

However, her decision to challenge Hilda Baci’s record sparked mixed reactions and ignited a widespread debate on social media.

On Wednesday morning, June 14, Chef Dammy reached her target of 120 hours, leaving many wondering if Guinness World Records would approve her feat.

To clear the air, Legit.ng sent a press inquiry to Guinness World Records on Tuesday, June 13.

A response received from the organization suggested that the chef did not seek their approval before beginning the cook-a-thon, as there are procedures and rules that would have been sent to her to follow.

“We have not received an application for this attempt. Applications can be made via the Guinness World Records website for our records management team to review.

“Once an application is accepted, the record claimant receives a set of detailed guidelines specific to that record category that must be adhered to.

“This also details a list of evidence that must be submitted for our team to verify the record. Guinness World Records maintains a rigorous review process to uphold the integrity of each Guinness World Records title,” Legit quoted the organization as stating.

FUOYE lecturer set to lecture for 150 hours to break Guinness World Record for the longest lecturing time

A lecturer at the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has announced his intention to lecture for 150 hours to break the Guinness World Record for the longest lecturing time.

The current title holder for the longest lecture is Arvind Mishra from Graphic Era University in Dehradun, India.

Arvind delivered a lecture on scientific computation for an impressive duration of 139 hours, 42 minutes, and 56 seconds, starting from March 1 to March 7, 2014.

The FUOYE lecturer, whose name was not disclosed, is aiming to break Arvind’s record. However, the details of the aca-a-thon has not been made public.

The school tweeted on Tuesday, May 13,

“The computer science lecturer at Federal University, Oye-Ekiti is organizing the ACA-A-THON event with the aim of surpassing Guinness World Record for the longest duration of lecturing, which is currently set at 150 hours.”

The former Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking time by an individual, Lata Tondon, has deleted her well-wish message to the new Nigerian record holder, chef Hilda Baci.

Recall that during Hilda Baci’s publicized cook-a-thon in May, Tondon sent her wishes to the Nigerian chef via her Instagram page.

She posted a photo of Hilda with the caption, “All the best Hilda👍 Hope to see you on the Official Site of Guinness Book Of World Records Soon!!”

However, after Guinness announced Hilda as the new record holder for the longest cooking time by an individual on Tuesday, June 13, a check on Lata Tondon’s page showed that she had taken down the post.

It was noticed that she also removed the Guinness World Record title from her Instagram bio.

Controversial media personality and actor, Uche Maduagwu, has called out popular singer, Davido, for confirming he has a son, Dawson.

This comes after the singer mentioned in a recent interview on the ABtalks podcast that he has a son in London, again confirming the long-standing speculations that he is the father of UK-based makeup artiste, Larissa London’s son.

This, however, did not sit well with Uche Maduagwu who took to his Instagram page to berate Davido for publicly announcing that he has a second son when it’s barely a year since he and his wife Chioma lost their only child together, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Nollywood actress Akinyanju Omobolarinde, better known as Ashabi, has spoken candidly about her decision to date controversial singer Portable.

A 50-year-old man identified as Mukhtar Ibrahim has appealed for his ex-wife to be removed from his home by a Kaduna state Shari’a court.

He made the plea through his counsel, Jamilu Sulaiman on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Additionally, the complainant requested that the court uphold the third decree of divorce that he granted to his ex-wife Sa’adatu Abdulhadi.

Ibrahim claimed that the defendant makes him afraid and keeps him from getting any sleep, he testified before the court that she once asked members of her family to beat him up.

“I also want the custody of my four children because she lacks good manners; she had once called her family to beat me up, leaving me with injuries and bruises.

Right now, I am scared for my life and I can’t sleep with my two eyes closed since she refused to leave the house,” he said.

Although the defendant wasn’t present in court, the court messenger certified that she was served the sermon.

Malam Isiyaku Abdulrahman, the presiding judge, postponed the case to July 10 so that the defendant may refute the accusations.

Woman breaks Guinness World Records after giving birth to 9 babies at once

A young Malian mother, Halima Cissé has broken the Guinness World Record after simultaneously giving birth to nine healthy children.

Halima Cissé and her husband Abdelkader Arby welcomed the nonuplets on May 4, 2021, .

According to the Guinness Book of Records, doctors had anticipated Halima would give birth to seven children, but when she was taken to the Ain Borja Clinic in Morocco for specialized care, two additional infants were found.

The nonuplets were delivered prematurely through a caesarean section in the 30th week of Halima’s pregnancy.

The babies comprise five girls and four boys, and their names are Adama, Oumou, Hawa, Kadidia, Fatouma, Oumar, Elhadji, Bah, and Mohammed VI.

According to the father, caring for them was a lot of work, he said;

“They all have different characters. Some are quiet, while others make more noise and cry a lot. Some want to be picked up all the time. They are all very different, which is entirely normal. It’s a lot of work but Allah, who gave us this blessing, will help us in their upbringing and taking care of them.”

The parents already had a 3-year-old girl before the nonuplets were born.

According to the Guinness World Records, Halima Cissé’s nonuplets are the first known occurrence of a woman giving birth to nine children together.

The mother received assistance from the Malian government, which also mandated that she be flown to Morocco while pregnant.
