This comes before the presidential election petition court’s scheduled hearing of the petitions contesting Bola Tinubu’s election as the next president on Monday, May 8.

He announced this on his Twitter page and urged Nigerians to choose a cause to support in order to improve their country.

“Realise and accept that elections are over. The only hope for a change in who the next President will be is the courts. Fighting supporters of other parties on social media won’t affect the judicial outcome. So, let us heal and behave like human beings with a common destiny.
The election brought about identities like Obidients, BATists, and Kwankwasiyya. Now, we need to step out of that limited circle and resume our original identity as Nigerians. Instead of abuse, let us amuse each other. Rather than curse, let us chart a new cause.”

Popular Nollywood actress, Ronke Oshodi-oke has revealed that she has been restless ever since her daughter returned to school following the poisoning incident.
Recall that the actress raised alarm online a few days back that her daughter was allegedly poisoned by her roommate and rushed to three different hospitals before she regained her health.
Sharing an update with The Punch, Ronke stated that she suspected foul play and does not believe her daughter tried to take her own life.
She added that the girl, however, returned to the same school against her wishes and her mind has not been at rest since them but she is waiting on the school to conclude their investigations and tell her the culprit.
In her words;
“I cannot be at peace letting her go back to the same school. I have called her more than five times today (Thursday). Whenever I call and she does not answer the phone, I would be worried. However, I know the people in the school would have seen the video I made.
I will still go there on Monday to have a meeting with them. If they don’t tell me what I want or respond well, that is when I will mention the name of the school. We don’t know the people who actually did it, but according to them (the school), they are investigating the issue.
The devil is living in some people’s children. The children we are talking about here are between the ages of 16 and 20. I see them as children, and I wonder why such children could think of doing something so evil. When they become proper adults, what would they then do?
I did not let her go back without strong warnings. I told her that whenever she wants to eat, she should be careful. I also told her that she should never leave her food or drink unattended to for whatever reason, even if she is going to the toilet.”

She claimed to have discovered an additional envelope that her husband had unintentionally overlooked and when she picked it up and saw that it was heavier and had a distinct appearance from the others.
She read the inscription on it and noticed that it was addressed to his ‘love’ asking her to take care of their kids and when the husband finally began looking for it, sweating profusely while at it, she asked him what he was looking for and he lied.
She wrote;
“Hello Sir. I have a problem. Help me decide. When my husband takes his salary, he separates the money into envelopes, meals, rent, lunch, pocket money and everything. Last time he dropped an envelope on the floor. I picked this up in the bedroom, it was very different from the other envelopes, I couldn’t resist opening it to see inside.
Big surprise , a large amount of money, much more than he gives here, accompanied by “I love you my love, take good care of the children”. In shock I put the envelope in a safe place. He came back a moment later, all panicked and started rummaging around the room. I ask him, he tells me that he has lost a very important USB key which contains his files. He was sweating like someone with diarrhea.
He’s been in a pitiful state for 3 days, but unable to tell me what he’s really looking for. Sir , I ask myself a lot of questions, should I keep the envelope or give it to him and confront him? What would you have done in my place?”

Though he was not financially buoyant, I was ready to go all the way with him, but he disappointed me with his dishonest acts. I made provision for our introduction ceremony after we met and dated for some months. I took a loan of N50,000 and I handed this over to him to meet the needs of our introduction ceremony. He paid my bride pride out of this, but it was returned to him. I began to see another side of my husband shortly after we started living together as a couple. Segun pretends to be an angel, but he is a devil in disguise. He frustrates me and makes my life miserable because he never ceases to find faults in all that I do. The most embarrassing of it all is his lying habit which presents him as an unreliable and non-trustworthy person before our friends and associates. My husband has brought a dent on our image, while I take everything he says these days with a pinch of salt. Segun’s irresponsible behaviour has obviously marred our relationship and I am not willing to go any further in it.
I, therefore, implore the court to rule that we go our separate ways.”
The case was postponed till May 26 by the court president, Mrs. S.M. Akintayo.

A Nigerian man has opined that any man above the age of 25 driving a car worth 5 million naira is considered poor.
The man made this controversial assertion in a viral video, stating that any man above 25 years old with a car worth 5 million naira should not feel fulfilled or accomplished.
According to him, such a man is considered behind and wretched. He added that the car befitting a man above 25 years old should cost around 20 to 25 million naira.
“If you are above 25 and still driving a car worth 5 million naira, you are a poor man, and you don’t have money. Don’t see yourself as a rich man. There is no level. You should be driving a car worth 20 to 25 million naira”, he said.
The man recently tied the knot with his bride in a traditional wedding ceremony to his heartthrob and during the ceremony, his in-laws presented him with the car and other lavish gifts.
A video showing the luxury vehicle was shared online by a party guest who advised fellow men to marry from wealthy families to enjoy such benefits.
In addition to the car, the gifts included a settee, bed frame, refrigerator, household appliances, microwave, gas cylinder, and more.
Veteran Nollywood actress, Georgina Onuoha, has reacted to the news of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, being sentenced to nine years and eight months in prison for organ trafficking by the Central Criminal Court, Old Bailey, UK.
His wife, Beatrice, was sentenced to four years and six months in prison, while the doctor who assisted the couple in the crime, Dr. Obinna Obeta, received a ten-year sentence.
Expressing joy at having justice served, Georgina took to Instagram to comment that it served them right for trying to take advantage of the young man because they were in a position of power.
According to her, the politician was given millions to build hospitals in his state and he embezzled the funds instead.
She wrote;
“And let the choir say Amen. Serves them right.
Do not take advantage of anyone because you are in a place of power. Dear Nigerian doctors, nurses and caregivers, do not sacrifice your licenses for anyone let alone Nigerian politicians who deliberately neglect our health care system back home but can rush overseas to be treated by the same Nigerians clinicians they treat poorly back home. As for the ex senator I hope they can extend his imprisonment. This same man was given millions if not billions to build hospitals back home in his state, he embezzled it. As for their daughter, I wish her well and good health. If she was better advised I’m sure she would have made a different choice. If you speak up and ask for help, I’m sure someone somewhere would have helped her out. Best of luck young woman and I pray God send you help and healing.”
