The Mavin Records signee said he often signs an agreement with the client, usually the groom, promising not to act inappropriately or seduce the bride with his lyrical dexterity.

”Inviting Johnny Drille or Chike to perform at your wedding is so risky. What if the bride elopes with them?”the tweep with handle @ucheomar asked.
In response, Drille said whenever he and some of his colleagues are hired to perform at a wedding, the client, who is frequently the groom, makes them sign a contract promising to behave well.

Maryam Musa, the legal counsel of Nigerian Singer, D’banj, has risen to the defence of the superstar, following his reported arrest and detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
In a statement on Wednesday, Maryam stated that D’banj and his management do not engage in commercial transactions “unless they are legitimate, properly documented, and obtainable in law.”
According to her, Dbanj wrote letters through his solicitors to the commission informing them of his itinerary in South Africa and promising to see the Commission when he returned, even though he had been formally invited by the ICPC to participate in the inquiry a month earlier.

“PUBLIC NOTICE
DBANJ ENCOURAGES ICPC TO DO ITS INVESTIGATION AND CAUTIONS AGAINST MEDIA TRIAL
The media is awash with reports of Oladapo Oyebanjo (Dbanj) in ICPC custody with regards to unestablished allegations of fraud for which it has become crucial to make the following statement for the purpose of clarity and to set public records straight.
1. It is instructive to state foremost that the report concerning the arrest and detention of Mr. Daniel Oladapo Oyebanjo is misconceived, malicious and prejudicial to the justice system anywhere in the world and we would advise that the general public be well guided.
2. We acknowledge the fact that the ICPC is currently investigating allegations of diversion of N-POWER funds as already stated by the Commission and we continue to hold the expectation that the Commission will stay the course of professionalism in this matter.
3. For the record, D’banj has no such contractual or incidental relationship whatsoever with any group or persons within or outside government in relation to the disbursement, operations, access or control of the operation of any government fund through an agency or its subsidiaries.
4. Emphatically and as a matter of policy, Dbanj and his management do not engage in business dealings unless they are legitimate, properly documented and obtainable in law.
5. Dbanj was officially invited by the ICPC in respect of the investigation a month ago, however, he sent in letters through his Attorneys to the Commission in respect of his schedule in South Africa and promised to visit the Commission when he returned.
6. On Monday the 5th of December, 2022, D’banj freely and of his law-abiding accord went to the Commission at about 2pm immediately he arrived Abuja. The Officers of the Commission advised that he returned the following day as it was late for any interview on said Monday.
7. D’banj returned to the Commission the following day being Tuesday the 6th of December, 2022 as earlier agreed and voluntarily submitted himself to the Commission to make their inquiry and investigation.
8. D’banj has encouraged the Commission to carry out its investigation thoroughly to ensure that characters attempting to bring him into such ridiculous activities must be brought to book.
9. It is inconceivable that D’banj whose very career is a reference point for hard work, diligence and honesty would lend his reputation built steadfastly over the years to acts of such accusations which he must now stoically suffer through while clearing his name.
10. The general public are advised to resist the urge to buy into media sensationalism which is unsurprising but regardless harmful to the course for the truth which D’banj has willing set himself on by honouring the ICPC’s summons.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission, ICPC has released a statement explaining, D’banj’s arrest.
The singer was arrested on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, after ICPC operatives moved on him and forced him to surrender at the agency’s headquarters.
The kokomaster is alleged to have fraudulently diverted funds meant to empower youths under the N-Power project into his personal accounts.
As of present, the ICPC has denied reports of the arrest, claiming that the singer “simply honored their invitation.”
The statement read:
“In line with its mandate, the Commission had received numerous petitions on the diversion of N-Power funds running into billions of naira following the approval and release of such funds to the beneficiaries by the Federal Government. Many N-Power beneficiaries had complained over the non-receipt of the monthly funds in spite of payment by the Government.
About 10 persons have been invited by the ICPC over the last few months in connection with the N-Power fraud, and have been granted administrative bail after their detention. Several invitations to Mr. Oladipo Daniel Oyebanjo, to appear before a team of investigators were ignored and not honoured.
Mr. Oyebanjo turned in himself and was taken into custody at the ICPC Headquarters on Tuesday, 6th December 2022, and is currently assisting the investigators to unravel the circumstances of the fraud allegations by the petitioners.
The investigation will be all-encompassing and also be extended to other collaborators of the fraud and the banks where the beneficiaries’ accounts are domiciled.
The press release becomes necessary to set the record straight in view of the reports awash in the media. The investigation is ongoing and the Commission prefers not to preempt its outcome and also avoid the frenzy of a media trial”.

Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has gotten people talking with his newly released video for his song, ‘Soso’.

In the music video which has caused quite a stir on social media, Omah Lay is seen bowing down to a masquerade in different scenes, which gave the impression that he was engaged in Idol worship.

A 29-year-old Kenyan woman, identified as Florence Kaari, was allegedly murdered by her husband for returning home late on Sunday night, December 4, 2022.
The woman passed away while receiving medical attention in the hospital after her husband struck her with a blunt weapon on the head in their residence at Githurai 45.
According to Ruth Kaimenyi, who was serving as the family’s housekeeper, the man reportedly got home drunk around 1am and asked for the whereabouts of his wife.
“He came home drunk and asked where his wife was. I told him that she had not arrived, and he told me to get out of the house as he threatened me stating that I was supposed to know,” Ms Kaimenyi told the police.
The housekeeper said Mrs. Kaari returned back 30 minutes after she was expelled from the home with a friend she could only identify as Ms. Gakii. When Mrs Kaari asked why she was outside, the housekeeper narrated what had happened.
Instead of taking the threats seriously, Mrs. Kaari went to knock on the door. Her husband who was already waiting for her, opened the door and the duo started fighting.
The deceased’s friend, Ms. Gakii, and housekeeper Ms. Kaimenyi, attempted to break up the fight, but the man became aggressive and started abusing them as well.
“Our attempts to stop them were futile. The husband instead started hurling insults at us calling Kaari’s friend a pr0stitute,”the housekeeper further revealed.
Shortly after the ruckus died down, one of the kids who was sleeping inside the house ran outside to meet the two women and told them that his mother had been struck in the head and was bleeding.
Mrs. Kaari was taken to the hospital but sadly, passed away in the early hours of Monday, December 5.
When the husband, who is presently being held by the police, was informed that his wife had died, he called his in-laws to inform them that she had consumed poison.

The suspect, who admitted to the crime, said he served Bawa the locally prepared cow milk known as “Fura da Nono,” which he had mixed with rat poison, because he wanted Bawa’s car.
Police spokesperson, Gambo Isah, said the suspect lured the victim into an empty building in the Mani Local Government Area of the state, while parading him before reporters at the Command Headquarters on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
He tricked Bawa into parking his car in the house’s garage, and then served him the poisoned Fura da Nono meal, which caused the deceased to lose consciousness.
He then took a heavy piece of firewood and repeatedly struck the victim in the head until he passed away. He reportedly dumped the corpse inside a well in the compound and covered it with sand, with the intention of stealing the victim’s car.
The statement reads,
“On 1/12/2022 at about 1300hrs, the Command succeeded in arresting, a classroom teacher, one Laminu Saminu, aged 29yrs of Bakin Kasuwa Quarters, Mani LGA of Katsina state, a suspected killer friend of one ASC II Sanusi Bawa, an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Katsina state Command, his final year course mate at Federal College of Education, (FCE), Katsina.

The Lagos State Police Command have launched investigation into how two teenage girls living in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos State, sold their organs to a medical doctor in Abeokuta, Ogun State, for N100,000 each without the consent of their parents.
According to Vanguard, the teenagers, Precious Ikechukwu (17), daughter of the Bishop and Founder of Living Word Anointed Gospel Mission, and her father’s secretary, Theresa Obam (19), allegedly collaborated with one Mrs. Adeleke Blessing, an adult church member, to visit a doctor at Redwood Specialist Hospital in Abeokuta, where their organs were sold for N100,000 each.
Their deed was discovered on September 12, 2022, when Precious, started throwing up. Her father, Ikechukwu Umeayo, took her to the hospital because he thought she had malaria or typhoid. There, the doctor asked for a medical exam, which subsequently revealed that her anus and private parts were damaged.
The sick girl, who reportedly lost consciousness after her medical condition was exposed, later regained consciousness and told her father that Mrs. Adeleke Blessing took them to Ogun State where their organs were sold to a doctor.
The teenagers further claimed that Mrs. Adeleke persuaded them to commit the unlawful act because the bishop, her father, was underpaying them and promised to drive them to a location where they would be lavishly compensated with N100,000. Additionally, they claimed Mrs. Adeleke threatened to murder them if they told their father or parents.
Describing how the transplant was carried out, the girls claimed that Mrs. Adeleke Blessing, better known as Mummy K, transported them to Redwood Hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State, without their parents’ permission. There, she teamed up with Dr. Durodola who injected them with some drugs.
They said they were also unlawfully taken to a PDF hospital in Surulere, Lagos, where a doctor took their ovaries, eggs, and organs, resulting in excruciating pain and bleeding.
Given the shocking information, the teenagers were transferred to a different hospital in Surulere, Lagos, where they underwent a medical laboratory test and scan. The results showed that the 46 ovaries that were harvested had caused damage to the teenagers’ liver, uterus, urinary bladder, kidney, spleen, and gall bladder.
When contacted, Bishop Umeayo told Vanguard that when his daughter Precious was taken to the hospital and the test was done, her younger siblings informed him that they knew their sister was ill because she frequently visited the bathroom with medical equipment and came out dripping blood.
He said Mrs. Adeleke, the prime suspect, frequently attended church vigils and was staying with her mother-in-law in the property where the church is located. According to information obtained, Favour resides with Bishop Ikechukwu who empoyed her as his secretary and pays her N20,000 per month, while his daughter, Precious, is an hairstylist who makes Mrs. Adeleke’s hair in exchange for payment.
The incident was reported to the Iyana-Ipaja police station, and they later transferred it for additional inquiry to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Bureau, SCIID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
The case, however, took a different turn after the aggrieved bishop’s attorney, Ikechukwu Chiaha, suspected that the police may have compromised over the case after learning that the investigators were asking for an amicable settlement and payment of N300,000, of which he claimed the police would keep N200,000. On the basis of this, Chiaha forwarded the case to NAPTIP, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, which has since launched a new investigation.
Reacting to the accusation, Mrs. Adeleke, the main suspect, claimed that the victims voluntarily surrendered their eggs. “The two girls volunteered to donate their eggs to the hospital, after listening to my phone conversation with a doctor and, in return, they were compensated with N100,000, of which Favour gave me N20,000 for introducing them to the hospital.” she said
When contacted, Lagos State Police spokesman, David Hundeyin, said;
“It was not organ harvesters, the operation was carried out by a professional doctor and the process was legal. All documents were signed and the girls stated in the document that they were above 18 years. The doctor told them about the consequences of feeling pain for two days, after and they accepted and donated their organs. Unfortunately, they did not inform their father about it and the father is requesting for N200 million as compensation.”

The Zazu Zeh star was reportedly scheduled to perform at a show in Italy, but is said to have left his fans and concertgoers disappointed after he refused to perform and stormed out of the venue.
It’s alleged that Portable refused to perform and left the venue because the audience refused to spray him with money.

When the audience refused to do his bidding, the singer left the stage and tried to make his way out of the venue.
However, fans followed him to his car to insist that he return to the stage to perform, but again, he said they should first spray him with cash before he would return to the stage.
“Spray money, spray money, if you no get money go use your phone borrow money”, he said in part.
Media personality, Linda Ikeji has berated the Duchess of Sussex and former actress, Meghan Markle, for alienating her husband, the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, from the British royal family.
This follows report that the royal couple, who tied the nuptial knot in May 2018, are set to release a six-episode docuseries on Netflix titled “Harry & Meghan” on December 8, where they will shed light on the highs and lows of their love life and family.
Reacting to this development, Linda Ikeji criticized Meghan, who shares two children with her husband, for driving a wedge between him and his family since they got married.
She also slammed Meghan for making a mockery of her husband despite his royal heritage with her constant public speeches and comments.
Linda posted the trailer of the docuseries on her Instastory, with the caption,
“The way Meghan has commonized Harry is sad to watch. A real life Prince making a mockery of his life and selling to Netflix. It should be beneath him.. but Meghan…oh Meghan. Sigh
If God made me a real life Princess, I’d use the platform to touch and change lives not constantly whining like a little girl..and estranging my man from his family.
If the royal family didn’t approve of Harry marrying Meghan..he would not have married her. So why all this unnecessary war? Are we supposed to feel sorry for her? Why villianize her inlaws? Rest abeg Meghan
I feel so strongly about these two. I just hate when people turn on their family or sell them out with half truths. I hate that Harry lost his best friend and brother. I wish Meghan had more family values. Sigh. Anyway, after the docuseries, hope there will be a reality show next? They obviously dont want a private life”

Controversial Kenyan clergyman, Pastor Ng’ang’a has advised female members of his church to pray for their husband’s side chicks to get their own husbands.
Pastor Ng’ang’a, the founder of Neno Evangelism Center, while preaching in his church recently, told married women to stop praying for evil to befall their husband’s mistress, but to pray for them to get married so they can leave their men alone.
Pastor Ng’ang’a said;
“I hear you are now praying for side chicks to die. Women like that so much.
Instead of praying for them to die say God bless the side chick with her own husbands.”
He further stated that side chicks are not to blame for having an affair with a married man as it’s men who owe their wives loyalty.
He said;
“Your husband owes you loyalty and in this case, he is the one in the wrong. Instead of praying for the side chick to die why not kill your husband first? If you are truly born again then you would know that two wrongs don’t make right. Christians have not been called to kill.”

The ex-Barcelona and Chelsea striker got infuriated after the YouTuber, identified as Said Mamouni, asked whether he bribed the referee before Cameroon’s playoff victory against Algeria back in March, which granted them a slot at the World Cup in Qatar. Watch here
Following the heat that trailed the attack, Eto’o has now tendered an apology for his action, as he also urged Algerians to stop harassing him and other Cameroonians due to their loss.
In his statement, Eto’o wrote: ‘On 5 December, after the Brazil-South Korea match, I had a violent altercation with a person who was probably an Algerian supporter.
‘I would like to apologise for losing my temper and reacting in a way that does not match my personality. I apologise to the public for this unfortunate incident.
‘I pledge to continue to resist the relentless provocation and daily harassment of some Algerian supporters. Indeed, since the Cameroon-Algeria match on 29th March in Blida.
‘I have been the target of insults and allegations of cheating without any evidence. During this World Cup, Cameroonian fans have been harassed and pestered by Algerians on the same subject.
‘I would like to mention that the scenario of Algeria’s defeat was cruel but perfectly in line with the rules and ethics of our sport. All the appeals made by the Algerian Football Federation to the competent jurisdictions have been rejected.
‘I, therefore, call on the Algerian authorities and Federation to take their responsibilities to put an end to this unhealthy climate before a more serious tragedy occurs.
‘To Fennecs’ fans, I wish that they find peace and manage to overcome the disappointment of a painful defeat, now behind us’.
