Cameroon FA president, Samuel Eto’o has issued a public apology for brutally attacking an Algerian YouTuber outside the World Cup stadium in Qatar.

The former professional footballer was caught in a shocking footage kneeing a man in the face during a physical altercation after the match between Brazil and South Korea in Doha on Monday, December 5.

The ex-Barcelona and Chelsea striker got infuriated after the YouTuber, identified as Said Mamouni, asked whether he bribed the referee before Cameroon’s playoff victory against Algeria back in March, which granted them a slot at the World Cup in Qatar. Watch here

Samuel Eto'o tenders apology

Following the heat that trailed the attack, Eto’o has now tendered an apology for his action, as he also urged Algerians to stop harassing him and other Cameroonians due to their loss.

In his statement, Eto’o wrote: ‘On 5 December, after the Brazil-South Korea match, I had a violent altercation with a person who was probably an Algerian supporter.

‘I would like to apologise for losing my temper and reacting in a way that does not match my personality. I apologise to the public for this unfortunate incident.

‘I pledge to continue to resist the relentless provocation and daily harassment of some Algerian supporters. Indeed, since the Cameroon-Algeria match on 29th March in Blida.

‘I have been the target of insults and allegations of cheating without any evidence. During this World Cup, Cameroonian fans have been harassed and pestered by Algerians on the same subject.

‘I would like to mention that the scenario of Algeria’s defeat was cruel but perfectly in line with the rules and ethics of our sport. All the appeals made by the Algerian Football Federation to the competent jurisdictions have been rejected.

‘I, therefore, call on the Algerian authorities and Federation to take their responsibilities to put an end to this unhealthy climate before a more serious tragedy occurs.

‘To Fennecs’ fans, I wish that they find peace and manage to overcome the disappointment of a painful defeat, now behind us’.

A viral audio recording has captured an alleged 300-level student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) bemoaning his poor performance in an exam despite studying hard.

The student who lamented to his friend via a WhatsApp audio message after the exam said he had studied a text of over 300 pages, reading chapters 1 to 12, but no question was set from it.

He claimed that the hours he spent studying were useless because no questions were set from the material he read.

With so much pain in his voice, the disappointed student accused his lecturer of being heartless.

A South African woman who gained popularity on social media for being a virgin at 33, has vowed to keep speaking about her virginity until she gives it away to her husband.

Zukiswa Joyi, a graduate of Durban University of Technology, stated this in a post shared on her Facebook page on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

According to her, if celebrities and influencers can brag about sex, body count and other sex-related discourse, then people shouldn’t complain about her decision to publicize her virginity.


“If Christ tarries I will keep speaking about my Purity and Virginity until I give it away to my husband,” she wrote.

American actress and singer, Keke Palmer, has responded to those making unflattering comments about her look.

Taking to her Twitter handle on Monday, the actress, who recently announced she’s having a baby and showed off her baby bump on Saturday Night Live, revealed she had come across comments from people saying she’s ugly without make-up.

“I just saw a few comments of ppl saying I was ugly cause I wasn’t wearing any makeup. And I really want y’all to get the help y’all need because makeup isn’t real. I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like.” She tweeted.

Reiterating that makeup is not real and she’s beautiful in real life, Keke added, “I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it. Because some people take comments to heart and these ppl just say anything. I mean truly it’s insane to say anyone is ugly, but especially me.”

Mother goes blind after tattooing her eyeballs blue and purple to copy an influencer

A mother-of-five, Anaya Peterson, who tattooed her eyeballs, has ended up in the hospital and risks losing her sight.

The 32-year-old tattooed her eyeballs blue and purple, drawing inspiration from Australian model “blue-eyed dragon” Amber Luke, who got her eyeballs inked blue in 2019—before going temporarily blind for three weeks.

Anaya has been hospitalized since the eye alteration and is likely to become permanently blind as a result of an allergic reaction to the eyeball ink.

The mum, who also has a tongue split and facial tattoos, now says she wishes she had listened to her daughter who had warned her against the procedure.

She got her right eyeball tattooed blue in July 2020 and decided to get her left eye dyed purple in December 2020.

After months without complications, Anaya was shocked to wake up in August 2021 with “swollen” eyelids.

As the swelling continued to get worse despite taking antibiotics, Anaya checked herself into the hospital’s A&E ward.

Anaya disclosed that her daughter India was never supportive of her getting the eye tattoo, as she feared that her mom would “go blind.”

“I was just going to get one [eye tattoo] at first because I thought that if I go blind, at least I’ve got the other eye. I should have stuck with that.

“My daughter told me that I didn’t want to do that [the tattoo] asking, ‘what if you go blind?’ She wasn’t on board with it at all. my [top] eyelid started to swell, and my bottom eyelid started to swell. It kept getting worse and worse. I looked like I’d done ten rounds with Mike Tyson.

“I took the option to go [to hospital] myself. They gave me surgery and took samples of my eye. They wouldn’t have been able to do it while I was awake, I would have been an absolute nightmare, so they put me to sleep. I just wanted to be at home watching [TV] to be honest. I can’t even put it into words. It wasn’t nice at all whatsoever.

“It was traumatizing to go through. I just remember thinking, I’m not doing that sh*t again, with the eye tattoo. I’m definitely not doing that sh*t again.” She said.

The ordeal has left Anaya regretting her choice to follow in the footsteps of Amber Luke, after she was told by ophthalmologists that she is now at a very high risk of contracting glaucoma and her eyesight is already worsening, with her vision clouded by “hundreds of thousands of floaters.”

The user identified as Sir David expressed that Laycon who ventured into rap music full-time, was not a rapper with flows and bars.

Youth leader and former Assistant Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekeremor Ward 12, Bayelsa State, Oroufagha Emomotimi has accused his wife of cheating and declared his determination to learn if he was the biological father of his child.

Oroufagha and his wife, Evang. (Dr.) Mrs. Emomotimi Benedicta, have been married for two years and welcomed their first child last year.

Emomotimi took to Facebook to accuse certain members of his family and friends of betraying him.

Nigerian socialite, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has caused a stir after he revealed the cost of a shirt he wore to an event recently.

Nigerian musician, Seun Kuti has taken a swipe at first lady, Aisha Buhari, and dared her to send operatives of the Department of State Services to arrest him.

This comes days after Muhammed Aminu, a final-year student of the Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State, was arrested and detained for alleged defamation of character after he shared a derogatory tweet where he called the first lady “fat” and accused her of eating people’s money.

In an apparent reaction to the incident, Seun Kuti, in a video shared on his Instagram page, publicly insulted Aisha Buhari with the same words Aminu used, and dared her to send the police to pick him up like they did to Aminu.

Speaking authoritatively in the video, Kuti said Aisha Buhari should even be arrested for abuse of power because she doesn’t have the constitutional right to arrest a citizen over mere words.

He emphasized that the first lady should be behind bars presently if Nigeria is not a lawless country.

A registered nurse in Cleveland, Ohio, has thrown a party to celebrate her failed relationship.

The nurse, identified on Twitter as Yahnee, shared moments from the celebration on the microblogging platform.

Apparently she was in a relationship, but when it hit the rocks, rather than wallow in the hurt, she decided to throw a “welcome back to the street” party for herself.

In the now-trending video, Yahnee, who revealed that the party was a success, can be seen making merry.

She had drinks, snacks, and a cake with an inscription that read, “Welcome back to the street.”

Sharing the video on Twitter, she wrote, “Welcome back to the streets party was a success”.

A shocking footage has emerged online of football legend and Cameroon FA President, Samuel Eto’o, brutally attacking a man outside the World Cup stadium in Doha, Qatar.

In the video captured by La Opinion, the former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea striker is seen leaving the stadium after watching the match between Brazil and South Korea on Monday night, December 6.

At first, Samuel Eto’o was seen taking pictures with some fans as he made his way out of the stadium before a man holding a video camera approached him and said something to him.

Though what the man said is currently not known, it infuriated Eto’o and he lunged towards him in a bid to attack him but was restrained by some onlookers.

Eto’o however refused to be held back and insisted on confronting the young man over what he said. He then gave his phone to a man before releasing himself from those restraining him to knee the man in the face, causing him to fall down.

Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, has called out her ex-husband, Kunle Fawole, otherwise known as Abounce, for neglecting their son, Xavier, since his birth.

The actress, who married her now-ex-husband, Abounce, in February 2017 and welcomed a son with him in November of that year, accused him of being a deadbeat dad who has never made an effort to see his child or speak to him.

Speaking in a recent interview with actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Yvonne said Kunle only came around to acknowledge their son when she threatened that she would remove his surname from Xavier’s name if he didn’t show up.

Yvonne said recently Xavier started asking for his father, so she reached out to Kunle’s older brother to inform him that Xavier was asking for his father and that he should help get Kunle to please come around to see his son, but the response she got was not encouraging.

“Your gift is in my hand yet you don’t care. You see, one moment I dreaded the most is for my child to wake up one day and ask where is my father and it has started happening. One day when he asked, I had to send messages to his siblings to ask him to come and check up on him but it yielded no result.

It was so bad that my father had to represent my son at school for a father’s day event they recently had. It was embarrassing for me but I’m waiting to see when he will show up or if he wouldn’t till the boy turns 18.” She said.

Yvonne Jegede, who revealed that she and her ex-husband, Kunle, were best friends before they tied the knot, said what led to the crash of their marriage was not really worth it.

However, if she had stayed in the marriage just because of the fear of what people would say, she would have been unhappy.

“We don’t talk. He doesn’t come around, he doesn’t call, he doesn’t do nothing. I don’t know what it is that could cause a friendship… because apart from the marriage, we had a good, very solid friendship. Nollywood actress, Dorcas Shola Fapson, better known as Ms DSF, has thrown a shade at her ex-lover, singer Skiibii, after he showed off his latest acquisition, a Mercedes Maybach.

Skiibii, who recently splurged millions of naira on the luxury whip, took to his Instagram page on Monday night to show off the exquisite details of the new ride.

Flaunting the car, the “Daz How Starz Do” crooner boasted that he paid for the vehicle in full at once.

However, reacting to the news, an Instagram follower expressed doubt that the singer had acquired the car, noting that she finds it hard to believe anything he says on social media.

The comment caught the attention of Skiibii’s ex-lover, MS DSF, who had publicly claimed that he was broke following their messy break-up, and she reacted by agreeing with the Follower.

A young Nigerian lady has been thrown into mourning following the death of her husband one year after their marriage.

The young lady, identified as @irenechinecherem on TikTok, revealed she got married at age 20, and tragically, she’s now a widow at age 21 after losing her husband to the cold hands of death.

The bereaved wife shared a touching video of her hair being shaved off by a group of elderly women, in accordance with their custom.

In a tear-jerking write-up, the lady paid tribute to her late husband.

A selfie video of the married actor and a lady in a car recently found its way to the internet and caused a stir, as many concluded that he (Adeniyi) is in an amorous relationship with the lady.

It was gathered that the lady had shared the video online, gushing over him and calling him endearing names.

A doctor has advised Nigerians and religious leaders to stop demonizing Caesarean Section (CS) because there’s nothing wrong with it.

@drpenking gave this admonition on Twitter, while recounting the sad story of how a woman in labour lost her baby and womb because she refused to undergo CS.

He said the woman had an obstructed labour and was advised to do CS to save her life and that of the baby but she refused because her pastor told her she will ‘deliver like the Hebrew women’.

Sadly, she developed more complications in the process, the baby died in her uterus and her womb had to be evacuated.

Reacting, Dr Penking urged Nigerians to stop criticizing CS because it’s a life-saving procedure and doesn’t make a woman less of a woman.

He tweeted,

“She had an obstructed labour. The Doctor on call decided on CS. She said that her pastor told her that she’ll deliver “like the Hebrew women” and besides they don’t use to do CS in her family. She asked to be taken to church. She was later rushed back to the hospital

She had had uterine rupture with total myometrial and serosal disruption. Baby was floating in the peritoneum, dead. Uterus was bleeding like an ocean and could not be repaired . It was removed . The child was her first child. She lost her first child and lost her womb for life.

Stop demonizing CS. It is a life-saving procedure and nothing is wrong with it. For all pastors who keep making women lose their children by telling them lies, God will ask you on your dying bed.
