Popular Nigerian influencer, Eni Adeoluwa has called-out netizens (Nigerians) who have a habit of wishing for the downfall of other people’s marriages, referring to them as bitter.

He made his distaste for such individuals known in a recent post he made to X (Twitter), where he claimed that such behaviour stems from bitterness.
He accused them of taking delight in the downfall of others and warned that doing such a terrible thing could take away one’s happiness.
In his words;
“It is a terrible thing to look at two people get married and all that is in your heart is hoping that one day it will go sour for them. Even worse, to actually pick up your phone and type that hate into a comment or a tweet.
If someone else’s happiness triggers sadness or jealousy in you, that’s a clear sign you need to pray and deal with that bitterness. There is a healing you need.
Because truth is — that kind of spirit takes happiness away from your own life.”
With his post going viral on the social media platform, many have speculated that his statement was a result of the many hate comments his close friend Priscilla Ojo received after she married Tanzanian musician, Juma Jux.

The official X (Twitter) account of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has responded to the claims made by former presidential Labour Party (LP) candidate Peter Obi.

In a post made by Peter Obi on his verified X (Twitter) account on Sunday, April 27, 2025, he accused JAMB of endangering Nigerian youths, by setting such an important exam so early in the morning around 6:30 a.m., and in hard-to-reach or remote locations.
Due to this, students ages 15 –17, were compelled to arrive at their examination venues as early as possible, and this he claims has endangered the lives of these youths.
He wrote;
“I came across multiple reports of students being asked to attend a public examination by 6:30 AM, teenagers, mostly around 15-17 years old, forced to travel in the dark, even in the face of insecurity, across dangerous and unfamiliar locations, because they want to get the basic right of education and sit for JAMB examinations. Setting exams for vulnerable teenagers as early as 6:00 AM while transporting them across far-flung locations is reckless.”

JAMB issued a response to his claims, refuting them and asserting that their exam was held by 8:00 a.m., not 6:00 a.m. They explained that it was the verification process that began at 6:30 a.m. so that candidates had adequate time to settle in before the exam started.
Their response;
“Our examination is scheduled to commence at 8:00 am, not 6:00 am. Verification and clearance begin at 6:30 am to afford candidates adequate time to settle in,”

Nigerian actor Uzor Arukwe opened up about the most shocking rumor he’s ever heard about himself, which left him stunned.

In a recent interview, the talented actor revealed that there had been speculation about his sexuality, with some claiming he is gay.
According to Uzor, the rumor caught him completely off guard, and he was even more shocked when photos of another man were posted online, falsely claiming the person was his partner.
However, rather than respond to the allegations with anger or defensiveness, Uzor admitted that the news actually excited him a little, because, those kinds of accusations usually come when someone is becoming successful.
He went on to express his support for the LGBTQ+ community, saying he has many gay friends and respects them, but firmly clarified that the rumor about him is untrue.
“The worst rumour I have heard about myself is that I am gay, and that shocked me to my bones. I was excited to because I heard that when they start saying those things, you’re blown. So I have a lot of gay friends and I love them. I am not going to agree to something that I am not. If it’s my sexuality, I would own it and I’d be one of the hottest ones around, I would owe it to with my chest.” He said

Pastor Emmanuel Iren has sparked conversation online following a remark he made during a recent sermon about sexual assault allegations within the church.

Speaking to his congregation, he shared that some cases brought forward by women who claimed they were sexually assaulted later turned out to be false.
According to him, nine out of ten of the allegations were false, and in the early days of his pastoring, he often reacted emotionally to such claims.
He went recall one of the incident where he was ready to have a man arrested before reviewing evidence that contradicted the accusation.
The clip, which has now gone viral, captured the clergy man saying;
“In this ministry, 9 out of 10 cases where the women came and said they were sexually assaulted, 9 out of 10 cases ended up false. And I’m not saying our opinion, by the ladies’ own admission. In the first few cases, I was still new to this business I was angry. There was one of them, I called the guy, I said, as long as I’m alive, I will arrest you, you must go to jail. The guy said pastor, wait and WhatsApped me evidence. The girl who said she was assaulted is saying in the chats that it was a nice time. Why lie? If he didn’t keep that message, he would have been in trouble.”
Pastor Iren emphasized on discernment and urged his congregation to understand the difference between genuine cases of abuse and situations that may stem from personal emotional fallout.
