As his dance validated the delight of a father offering his daughter for marriage to a respectable family that had paid her dowry in full, the bride’s father’s excitement was uncontrollable.

Mixed reactions have trailed a viral clip shared online showing rainwater pouring into a serviced apartment in Lekki Phase 1.

The lady who shared the video on X, formerly Twitter, had disclosed that she was recording a studio session in the apartment when it began to rain indoors.

In the video, water could be seen flowing freely from the light fixtures attached to the POP ceiling, spilling onto the tiled floor and bed.

Panicked and unsure of what to do, they tried to contain the flooding while calling the management of the serviced apartment.

The tweet attached to the video read;

“It started raining just now inside a service apartment where we are recording music. This is inside Lekki phase 1 btw! Crazy!”

Since the video surfaced online, users have flooded the comment section with their opinions.

However, the lady who posted the clip is yet to reveal whether the issue was resolved or how it was handled.

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to share the heartbreaking story of how her colleague lost her 11-year-old daughter.

In a post shared via X (formerly Twitter), she revealed that the woman’s husband had confessed that every firstborn in his family mysteriously dies at the age of twelve.

The young girl, who would have turned 12 next month, was reportedly hit by a car, leading to her untimely death.

She also mentioned that the grieving mother was not allowed to see her daughter’s body after her death, making the situation more disturbing.

U.S. Court Summons Davido to New York Over Allǝged 2024 Soundtrack Thǝft and Unpaid $45,000 Dǝbt

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has given Nigerian singer Davido 21 days to respond to a lawsuit accusing him of intellectual property theft.

The lawsuit was filed by a group of four Nigerian artists who claimed Davido stole their song ‘Work’ and used it to create his own soundtrack ‘Strawberry on Ice.’

The singer was sued alongside Emmerson who featured on the song and Wynn Records the music agency responsible for publishing and distributing the song.

According to legal fillings, they originally shared the demo with Davido hoping for a potential collaboration in January 2022.

They claimed that instead of working with the group, Davido used the track without permission with another artiste, Emmerson.

They reached out to Davido and he entered an agreement with the group to pay a sum of $45,000 settlement and royal split on March 14, 2025.

However, Davido failed to fulfill the terms of the agreement despite promising to pay before a March 24 deadline agreed upon by all parties.

His actions have prompted the group to file a lawsuit against the singer alongside his co-defendants on April 4, in New York.

They are now demanding $150,000 in damages, partial copyright ownership of ‘Strawberry on Ice’, and a court order to stop further infringement.

As of the time of this report, neither Davido nor Wynn Records has made any public statements regarding the lawsuit.

Recall that a clip that surfaced online and has garnered widespread attention on social media showed a woman in a heated argument with her husband after finding out the truth about the young girl living with them in their home.

The wife had called out the husband for lying about the girl’s identity, accusing him of manipulating her trust and betraying her.

Nigerian Influencer and skit maker, Nons Miraj, has disclosed in a recent interview with The Rolls Roye Experience how she was able to make her first million without any man helping her.

She spoke on her humble beginnings, about how she had first started in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The struggles and financial difficulties she faced working in Nollywood that had caused her to quit and spurred her to pursue a different career path.

“It was rubbish money; unlike a salary job where you make 70K monthly, they pay you 90K after shooting for three months. It was not worth it,”

I would go to Balogun market, buy perfumes and jewelry for N3K and sell them at N50K. I divided the profit into two: one for my piggy bank and the other to fund my life,” 

Due to the measly pay, she earned from working in the entertainment industry, she decided to quit and go into the business of buying and reselling goods at a higher price for profit.

She revealed that while she was approached by men during this period of her life, they weren’t the type of men that added value to her.

“Men were coming but not the type you think will sponsor your life. I was in a relationship but not in the sugar daddy vibe,”  She said.

Despite all she earned from her business, her breakthrough came when she went into content creation and became a full-time influencer.

Her growing online presence granted her new opportunities, such as increasing her value in the entertainment industry, leading to better acting opportunities and higher pay.

She went on to talk about just how big content creation affected her career and the various projects she was able to undertake as a result.

“I was saving with my mum, I had my own savings, my salon was there, and acting started paying N300K after social media presence.

I didn’t wait for a man to give me; my pride grew when I started making more money. There’s nothing I couldn’t give myself,”  she proclaimed.

A lady expresses disappointment after a bedspread vendor allegedly swindled her into buying a ₦14,000 bedspread disguised with cartons.

In a video shared online, the lady @kirikiri_star_ella_gusta noted that she bought the neatly folded bedspread at Onitsha Express while on a public bus.

The two bedspreads went for ₦7,000, she revealed. She was dismayed when she opened the bedspreads and saw that they were packaged in cartons, giving the impression that they were full-sheet bedspreads.

The woman claims the vendor deceived her, the bedspread was six yards long and included four pillowcases.

Internet users shared similar experiences, as many confirmed being victims of the dubious vendors.

Some opined that the lady should have been suspicious when the vendor disclosed the price; others affirmed that the vendors often refuse to unwrap the package to prevent customers from knowing.

“Nigeria Fa!led Alabi Quadri” – Reaction as Viral Teen is Ja!led For Refusing to ‘Settle’ Area Boys

Alabi Quadri, a teenage boy who gained public attention during the 2023 election campaign for standing in front of Peter Obi’s convoy, has reportedly been wrongfully remanded in prison.

The news, which was disseminated online by a human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, stated that Alabi has been in the Kirikiri Minimum Security Custodial Centre in Lagos since January 2025.

According to a preliminary statement he released on X (Twitter), Inibehe disclosed that Alabi was abducted near his home by area boys and handed over to the police for refusing to settle them with some of the money he was gifted during the campaign period.

The police went on to charge Alabi, alongside four adult strangers, with conspiracy to commit armed robbery using cutlass, claiming N579,000 in cash and phones were stolen.

Alabi’s family has maintained that he has no connections with the fellow suspect or the alleged crime.

Despite being a minor, Alabi has now appeared in court three times and remains remanded with adults pending legal advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions.

Effiong, who visited the Apapa Magistrate Court and later the Kirikiri facility with Alabi’s mother and legal team, vowed to pursue every lawful means to secure the teenager’s freedom.

According to her posts, the incident occurred during her first year at university, while she was walking home alone from school.

The men stopped her and took her PC, but when she tearfully explained that she had a due assignment, they handed her a USB cord, allowed her transfer the files and even escorted her home safely.
