US-based Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi, has reaffirmed her stance on her divorce from her estranged husband, Justin Dean.
The mother of two, in a Facebook live session on Thursday morning, while responding to reactions that followed a video of her sobbing after being separated from her children, avowed that even if she’s given the sum of $20K to go back to her ex-husband, she won’t.
Recall that Korra Obidi got quite emotional on Tuesday as she spoke about her struggles with divorce.
Speaking on the consequences of divorce in a video she shared on social media, Korra revealed her children, including 6-months-old Athena, have been taken away from her for some days now.
In another video posted on Thursday, Korra Obidi refuted assertions that the divorce is having a negative impact on her.
She urged netizens to ignore such a narrative and insisted that she’s unperturbed.
According to her, such narratives perpetuate the idea that women need men to live and are what keep the majority of women in abusive marriages and relationships.
She advised women in toxic relationship to leave immediately and learn to love themselves.
“First and foremost even if you use $20,000 to dash me to go back, e no go happen. I said what I said. Some of you trying to make it seem as if no oo, I’m now dead, am I dead? Do you think I want to go back to abuse. Popular Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie has bewailed the quality of actor and actresses finding their way into the Nollywood film industry.
Taking to his verified Instagram page, the movie star said everyone wants to delve into acting nowadays, including dumb people who can’t speak good English.
He said this was not the case in the industry before, but now Nollywood has become a dumping ground for mediocre actors.
The 40-year-old actor posted a picture of himself and wrote,
“Everybody wan be actor and actress.
All the dummies around want to be actors and actresses.
Nollywood has turned to dumping ground for block heads.
Even people that can’t speak good English have become actors and actresses unlike before.

A while back, Yul Edochie took to social media to recount how God miraculously saved him from a ghastly accident.
It would be recalled that in June 2019, the actor was involved in a ghastly motor accident along the Benin-Ore road, but luckily he survived.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Wednesday morning to recount how God miraculously saved him from the incident that could have claimed his life, Yul said God brought him out of the somersaulting vehicle and put him back in after the car stopped moving.
He affirmed the greatness of God and pledged to never stop praising him.

Lady mocks her sister-in-law for not having a son after giving birth to five girls (video)
A Nigerian lady has taken to TikTok to mock her sister-in-law over her inability to produce a male child after giving birth to her fifth female child.
In a video making rounds online, the lady, who is seen dancing happily, said she was jubilating because of the snide remark her sister-in-law told her after she gave birth to her first child.
She said her sister-in-law said she was very lucky to have welcomed a male child because she only just secured her position in their family.
She captioned the video,
“When I had my son, my sister-in-law came visiting and she said; you are lucky your first child is a boy, ehen na now your leg stand for our family.

Hushpuppi appeals for lighter sentence after emerging one of the best cleaners in prison
Embattled Nigerian socialite facing trial in the United States, Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi, has appealed to the judge to tamper justice with mercy and hand him a lighter sentence.
According to him, he has been of good behaviour and is one of the best cleaners in the prison where he has been remanded since his arrest in 2021.
In a record obtained by Peoples Gazette, which was revealed as part of his memorandum countering sentencing recommendations of prosecutors, it was contained that Hushpuppi is a good cleaner and relates well with his fellow inmates.
His report card for Central Valley workshop in prison also showed that he was ‘very good’ in attitude, quality of work, dependability and productivity.
In the light of this, the internet fraudster has appealed to US Judge, Otis Wright, to give him a lighter jail term for scoring high in the cleaning activities.
Hushpuppi’s lawyer, Louis Shapiro, wrote in a letter submitted on the 5th of September that “He is currently working within his prison cleaning windows and showers—for which he has received great personal evaluations.”
Meanwhile, the prosecution has demanded that Hushpuppi should be sentenced to 11 years in prison and pay $2.2 million in restitution and fines.
But Shapiro said his client has become a changed person in prison and should be sentenced to about two years in prison, stating that he has three young children in London, US, and Dubai and sick parents in Nigeria to take care of.

Oludare Alaba, the graduate of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) who went viral a few days ago after he stormed the school to return his certificate and ask for a refund of his fees, has spoken up.
A video of Alaba throwing tantrums at the school reception as he returned his certificate and demanded that all the fees he paid be refunded to him recently went viral and caused a stir online. Read here.
Well, speaking in an interview, the LAUTECH graduate insisted that the certificate has not been useful to him.
According to him, he’s a talented entertainer and he’s confident that if he’s refunded and he diverts it to his entertainment career, he’ll be successful.
“I graduated from the department of Agricultural extension and rural development. What prompted me to return the certificate is that I collected it, it has not been useful to me.
I have been struggling with life and the only opportunity I have seen is for me to do blood money and I said I cannot do blood money because I want to be useful to Nigeria, my family and myself and God my creator.
I told my father to help me get some money. I am an entertainer. I even won an award during my NYSC days in 2016. My father said he cannot help me go and borrow money again because he borrowed some money to send me to school and he is yet to pay back and that he is supposed to be reaping the benefits from me now.
The day he said it to me I cried. When I got tired, I just decided to return the certificate to them since it is not useful to me and then they should give me my money. If I spend my money on my talent, I know I will be prosperous”. He said.

Lady shares harrowing experience with monkey at a zoo in Burundi (Video)
A young woman has recounted a horrific encounter with a monkey that snatched and left her phone completely destroyed in a zoo in Burundi.
The tourist, who had visited the zoo in company of her friends, enthusiastically walked up to the primate in its cage and drew near enough to have a better look at it.
Then, believing it to be food, the monkey took her phone and tried to devour it. In the now viral video, the woman just gazed hopelessly, as if she were still trying to understand what had happened.
The monkey later tossed out the iPhone X device, but it was already damaged beyond recognition.

A suspected yahoo boy, Wahab Hammed, has been arrested by operatives of the Osun state police command in connection with the murder of his friend, one Oguntade Wasiu.
The 28-year-old suspect was paraded before journalists on Wednesday, September 7, and he confessed to conspiring with his friend, Adegoke Ayobami, 31, to murder the deceased because he was ‘cashing out’ from internet fraud more than the both of them.
He narrated how they lured him to a remote locating in the guise of showing him a piece of land and hacked him to death with a cutlass.
Speaking to newsmen, he said,
“I am a tailor by profession and I have a shop but I also operate motorcycle for additional income. I am from Modakeke in Adesiyan compound. I also engaged in Internet fraud but I have never hit any money.
Wasiu was a friend to Ayobami. I knew him through Ayobami and he was into Internet fraud. He has been into yahoo before our friendship more than a year ago.
I and Ayobami killed Wasiu because he was always telling us about his achievements, about how much money he was making from internet fraud and how he flaunted his successes like opening a shop for his wife, buying gold and many more. All these grieved my heart and made me envy him.
And I have always wanted to collect his money so that I can use it to cater for my need.
We killed him on August 8, 2022. We lured him to a new site because he came to me that he wanted to buy a piece of land. Ayobami and I took him to a site at Modakeke. After we inspected the land, on our way back, I was in front, Wasiu followed me and Ayobami was at the back. Ayobami held him at the jugular and while he was shouting he hacked him on the head with a cutlass.
We never had a plan to kill him but to collect money from him, but Ayobami eventually killed him. I went to report myself at the police station days later.”
The suspects will be charged to court after the police conclude their investigation.

Bella, who was the subject of contention, took her man’s side and berated Rachel for insulting Sheggz’s generation.
She also angrily returned the plate of food back to Rachel and in the process, it poured on the dining table. However, it’s not clear if she intentionally poured the food away.
Following the verbal altercation, emotions were still high and Sheggz threatened Rachel, saying if she doesn’t beg him before December, then he is not who he says he is.
The Lagos big boy also swore on his mother’s life, and asked their fellow housemates to bear him witness.
“Rachel, I’m telling you, if you don’t beg me this year, my name is not Segun. Go and write it down; laugh about it, I swear on my mother’s life. You’re mad!” he said as he walked away angrily.

After three months in captivity, kidnapped Kaduna toddler dies 5 days after regaining freedom.
A toddler, Ewhalshoh Mandela Mairabo, who alongside her mother and 29 others, was among the kidnapped victims of the Kaduna-Train attack, three months ago has died five days after regaining freedom.
The victims were kidnapped by bandits in May 2022 at Dogon-noma in Maro Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
They were released on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, after payment of N5m ransom and two motorcycles. One of the victims was killed in captivity.
A member of the community identified as Istifanus Egoh Destiny, revealed that the toddler died on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

She was kidnapped along side with her mother which they later regained their freedom on the 30/08/2022
All are encouraged to kindly pray for the mother as she is still in the hospital receiving treatment since their released.

A woman from Ghana identified as Hannah Owusu has revealed that she has been bald for three years after her husband’s sidechick pulled her cornrow during a fight.
Mrs. Owusu narrated her ordeal in a radio interview where she revealed that her alleged rival, identified as Ruth Amankwa, attacked her and disgraced her before church leaders.
In her words –
“My husband (Kwame Peter) and I have been married for 12 years with three kids. He’s been having sexual affair with Ruth Amankwah. I went to report her to our church leaders (Bohyen Methodist).
“We were called but Ruth denied dating my husband, claiming my husband couldn’t even buy her panties not to even talk of taking care of her. The church elders summoned us to resolve the issue, so Ruth was asked to abstain from my husband.
“One day, I took my children to school. When I was returning home, Ruth confronted me and claimed I had disgraced her before the church authorities. So she held my corn row hair and pulled it.
“For the past three years, my hair has been unable to grow again as a result of Ruth’s attack on me.”
#BBNaija: Bella risks strike as she clashes with Rachel over food (Video)
Big Brother Naija level-up housemate, Bella, may risk a strike after she spilled food on fellow housemate, Rachel, during an argument last night.
Rachel, who had volunteered to make food for the house, alongside Phyna and Chichi, prepared rice for the entire house last night. However, while she dished the food, Bella seemed not pleased as she insisted she wanted beef while Rachel gave her chicken.
Rachel tried to explain that there were only four beefs in the soup, and people had already told her they wanted it before Bella came.
This ticked off Bella’s lover, Sheggz, who lambasted Rachel and said that by now, Rachel should have known his woman’s likes and dislikes.
Sheggz called Rachel stupid, and she retaliated by calling him and his family unprintable names.
In an attempt to defend her lover, Bella returned the food Rachel dished out for her, shoving it in her face, and the food poured, which threw the house into chaos.
Clips from the fight caused a stir online, with many calling for Bella to be sanctioned by Big Brother.

Controversial singer, Portable has dragged Goya Menor again as they continue to fight online.
This comes after the ‘Ameno Amapiano’ singer described him as an ‘uneducated singer” while reacting to a video of Portable berating him for winning ‘Best Street Hop Artist’ at the 2022 Headies Award over the weekend.
Goya Menor had taken to his Instastory to write ;

Portable, who missed out on the award after his disqualification, would not let Goya’s clapback go scot-free and he also took to his social media page to share a video where he verbally attacked Goya Menor, claiming he’s more successful and has more money.

“I know my husband is good-looking” – Visually impaired woman who got married to partially blind lawyer share their unique love story (video)
A visually impaired woman who is married to a partially blind lawyer has said she’s sure her husband is handsome even though she can’t see him.
The unconventional couple, whose union made headlines earlier this year, shared their unique love story in a recent interview with BBC News Pidgin.
The woman, identified as Amarachi Onyekwere, and her husband, Thank God, got married traditionally in 2019 and welcomed a son in the same year.
Speaking in the interview, Amarachi said her biggest wish is to see her husband and son, and it would gladden her heart if God grants her desire.
She however stated that she knows her husband is good-looking because she has touched and felt his face.
The mother of one said her husband’s family disapproved of their marriage and refused to give their blessings because of her visual impairment.
However, her husband stood his ground and proceeded with the marriage against all odds.
Thank God, speaking, said he loves his wife a lot because she is very hardworking and does things that some women with good eyesight can’t do.
The blind couple, who have been tagged a ‘match made in heaven’, are reportedly expecting their second child.

A Canada-based lady has taken to Twitter to share screenshots of the messages she received from a man asking her out.
In the messages, the man said he wants them to be friends with the hope of pursuing a serious relationship.
According to the bodacious man who went straight to the point about his intentions for the lady, he wants them to be business partners, idea sharing partners, faith partners and eventually, life partners.
He went further to reveal his genotype and blood group.
The lady, identified as @lohwis on Twitter, shared the screenshots and said she loves his energy and audacity.
She also disclosed that she would give him audience but is not promising that their friendship would lead anywhere.
She captioned it;

Burna Boy in a now deleted tweet has revealed that he came into the Nigerian Music Industry straight from a UK prison.

The Lady whose real names can’t be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, revealed that she is 22-years-old, and she has stated that she is a grown woman who knows what she’s doing on social media.
@Itzamaeliaa said she decided to make the video because she gets some many messages from people calling her a child.
