The first wife made the statement in a recent interview with Botswana’s oldest magazine, Kutlwano, as she noted that their husband could have kept Mpho a secret but he chose to marry her instead.
In her words ;
“Do not be too quick to bash our husband. He could have kept Mpho a secret, but he chose to do the right thing, which is not alien to the African culture.”

A magistrate court sitting in the Ajah area of Lagos has ordered the remand of popular Nigerian Rapper, Panshak ‘Ice Prince’ Zamani at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
The Lagos State Police Command on Friday arraigned Ice Prince, for assaulting and abducting a policeman in the Lekki area of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet, said the music artiste was driving to a destination in the state when the police patrol team in the area stopped him around 3am for driving without license plates.
Zamani was hit with a three-count charge of assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties and abduction.
When the counts were read to him, he pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi subsequently granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 and he is also to provide the court with two responsible sureties. The Magistrate ordered that he be remanded in the correctional center until he fulfills his bail condition. He then adjourned further proceedings in the case till September 7.

An abroad-based Nigerian lady has shared her mother’s dramatic reaction after she got three ear piercings.
The lady identified as @chideraprecious on TikTok said that although she got the piercing two years ago, her mother still chastises her whenever she sees her.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, has said there’s video evidence of popular rapper, Ice Prince Zamani, assaulting a police officer and it will be presented in court as evidence.
Nigerians woke up to news of the rapper’s arrest today, September 2, and he was accused of abducting and assaulting a police officer in the early hours of the day.
According to SP Hundeyin in a statement shared on his Twitter page, the rapper was stopped for driving without a license plate and agreed to be taken to a station but in course of this, he abducted and assaulted the police officer in his car and even threatened to throw him in the river.
Some people doubted the authenticity of the story and requested for a video evidence as proof that the singer indeed assaulted a police operative.
Reacting to this, SP Hundeyin, in an update shared on his Twitter page, said there’s video evidence but they won’t make it public, but instead, present it in court as evidence. He also disclosed that a close friend of the rapper has seen the video.
“For those asking for video evidence, yes we have it. And no, we won’t release it. A very close ally of his has seen it. It will be presented to the presiding magistrate as part of our evidence”, he tweeted.
Popular Nigerian comedian and actress, Anita Asuoha, better known as Real Warri Pikin, has revealed that she tried to commit suicide in 2018.
She opened up about the incident in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
According to her, she took the drastic step because she and her husband, Victor, were neck-deep in debt to the tune of N22 million (Twenty-Two Million Naira).
She said things were so tough for the family that she attempted to end her life in June 2018 by taking a drug overdose. She said she was taken to three different hospitals before she finally regained consciousness.
She said after she survived the suicide attempt, she knew God did not want her to die yet because he still had plans for her.
Her words,
”In 2017/2018 I had issues. Actually, I and my husband had issues, financial issues because we were in debt and everything. Then, I attempted suicide on June 6, 2018, but I didn’t die. Then they carried me to three different hospitals. In the last hospital when I woke up, I was like so I didn’t die? That meant God didn’t want me to die.”

An Abuja-based man, Lukman Abdulaziz, has divorced his wife, Rashidat, after 19 years of marriage, on grounds that she’s not prayerful.
Abdulaziz, a Muslim, approached the Grade I Area Court in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory, praying that the court confirm the divorce of his wife, Rashidat, after he had already done so, according to an Islamic injunction.
He explained that he was divorcing her because she does not observe daily prayers, among other irreconcilable differences.
He also accused his wife of disliking his family, especially his mother. He said that he asked her to follow him to the village for her to resolve issues with his mum, but she refused.
“She does not observe her daily prayers and does not like my family members. I asked her to follow me to the village so that we can resolve issues on why she dislikes my mother and she refused.
“I pronounced divorce to her on June 6 and she has observed her iddah. I am no longer interested in the marriage and have informed her parents,” Lukman Abdulaziz told the court.
The wife, in response, told the court that Abdulaziz told her on August 27, that he had not been making love to her for the past three months because he wanted a divorce.
“He said he would fend for our four children but wanted me to leave his house because he wanted to sell it. I told him the house belongs to my children because I built the house with him, it is not his house,” she said.
The presiding Judge, Muhammad Adamu, therefore dissolved the marriage following Abdulaziz’s prayers.
Adamu explained that in Islam, a man has the power to divorce his wife due to reasons he feels are valid.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said some Nigerians have intentionally gone blind, deaf and lost their memory to President Buhari’s achievement.
He stated this in an article released on his official Facebook page titled “Buhari’s footprints from home to Diaspora.”
Speaking in regards to the President’s achievements both home and abroad, Adesina said some Nigerians have afflicted themselves with willful blindness, deafness and amnesia despite the fact that Buhari’s footprint is apparent in all areas of governance.

From Washington to Russia, France, South Africa, Rwanda, Portugal, India, and many other countries, President Buhari has held Town Hall meetings with Nigerians resident abroad. When there were flare-ups in South Africa, Libya, Lebanon, Ukraine, and other places, he promptly brought willing Nigerians back home, not minding cost.
Truly, we have with us the Most Diaspora Friendly President, and this, among others, will stand him in good stead, when he breasts the tape in May, next year. But insecurity? Let the naysayers wait and see. Even that, will become history”

Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has called out popular doctor, Femi Olaleye, who allegedly raped his wife’s 15-year-old niece, deflowered her, and threatened her not to tell anyone about it.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Kate Henshaw said Dr. Femi Olaleye had opened up to her that he had an affair with a woman, which his wife got to know about. Unbeknownst to her (Kate), the “woman” in question is actually a 15-year-old child, his wife’s niece.

Late legendary singer, Michael Jackson’s former wife, Debbie Rowe, has hinted at being partly to blame for the pop superstar’s death.
Recall that the iconic singer died in 2009 at the age of 50 after suffering a cardiac arrest caused by an overdose of Propofol. He was preparing for a show at London’s O2 Arena when he gave up the ghost.
Debbie, who was married to the singer between 1996 and 1999, has now shared her regrets over his death in a newly-released documentary for Fox TV.
The 63-year-old said she regrets not doing more to help the singer with his addiction to painkillers.
She said;
“I should have done something and I didn’t. There is a number of people that died from addictions and in some way I was part of it.”
Debbie, who was a surrogate mom to Jackson’s two children – Prince and Paris, doubled as his personal nurse and also worked as an assistant to his dermatologist, Arnold Klein, who provided the singer with strong pain relief drugs.
Speaking amid tears, she said, “I was basically as bad as him (Klein) and I am so sorry I participated in it.”

Hours after flaunting the luxurious gifts, Davido disclosed that the pendants were not enough for his crew members and placed an order for additional 30 pendants from his jeweler.
According to him, he just realized that there are a lot of people in his crew – 30 billion gang.
He wrote:

Davido and Wizkid do not always see eye-to-eye and despite the fact that fans/media always paint them to have a silent rivalry, both men always show love to each other anytime they cross paths.
Therefore, It came as no suprise that Davido shared a warm embrace with Wizkid’s mother and also described her as an amazing woman.
He also revealed that he personally helped her carry her bafs at the Airport.

Reality TV star and serial entrepreneur, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, is currently vacationing in Dubai.
The Big Brother Naija star, who’s apparently having a swell time, shared videos from her vacation and bragged that she’s in the United Arab Emirates to chill on her terms.
Showing off wads of dollar bills, Tacha declared that she’s worked really hard and deserves the time off.
“I haven’t worked my ass off to not come here and flex. I’m really here to chill on my own terms. No men.” She said

Meanwhile, Tacha has boasted that she has never been a side chic to anyone.
The beautiful reality TV star made this declaration in a post via her verified Twitter handle while playing the “Never Have I Ever” game with her fans.

In other news, Tacha has called out Dubai authorities for allegedly denying Nigerian tourists with valid visas entry into the Middle-East country.
A Twitter user had earlier taken to the micro-blogging platform to share her experience and those of other Nigerians after they were reportedly detained at the airport in Dubai and had their passports seized.
She claims that after they landed in Dubai, they were kept in a room for hours without an explanation.
Tacha, in a tweet expressing disappointment with the humiliation Nigerians face outside of the country, added that Dubai authorities send Nigerians with valid visas home and force them to pay N31,000
“Dubai is really sending Nigerians back to Nigeria even with their valid visas!!! And ontop of that when you reach Nigeria!! You’ll be paying an additional fee of N31,000 for whatever reason I don’t even know!!!!

Popular clergyman and philanthropist, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has granted a scholarship to the lady who reportedly lost her job for joining Peter Obi’s rally.
The lady, identified as Regina Ledum, took to social media a few days ago to cry out after her employer reportedly sacked her for attending the campaign rally for Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The lady who claimed to work as a receptionist at a hotel said she attended the two-million-man march that was held in Port Harcourt since it fell on the day she was off work.
To her shock, when she returned to work the next day, she was relieved of her duty. She said she pleaded with her boss not to lay her off as she needed the job to continue her studies.
Well, her story caught Apostle Chibuzor’s attention, and he has now offered to sponsor her education and offered her a job.

It would be recalled that when the family lost their daughter, who was a student at Shehu Shagari College of Education, to the mob attack, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry promised to help transform their lives.
He helped the family move from Kaduna to Port Harcourt, where he gifted them a mini estate and a car. He also placed the siblings of the late Deborah on scholarships.
He didn’t stop there, either, as he just donated a fully equipped restaurant to the parents of late Deborah Samuel.
