Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, has advised people against threatening their partners with breakup during an argument.
The veteran thespian gave this advice in a Facebook post, stating that no matter how upset a person is, they should not threaten to split up with their relationship unless they really mean it.
He believed that in a fit of rage, couples should concentrate on what enraged them without bringing up the threat of initiating a breakup.
In his words,
“No matter how upset you are, don’t threaten your partner with a break up unless you mean it. Focus your anger on what they’ve done without bringing up the threat of a break up. No relationship is without its ups and downs. Don’t let anyone deceive you. You will quarrel and you will fight. You will have sad days; you will disagree some days and not find a common ground over some issues. Compromises don’t always happen. These are normal things in a healthy relationship.
The key to a lasting relationship is being with someone you can actually communicate your feelings to and have a solutions-based approach towards conversations; someone who doesn’t just communicates, but reciprocates the energy you give to them. Someone who always bares their mind and accumulate pent-up anger. Someone who forgives easily and reverts to their default factory mode of playing and laughing. This is the key.”

Nigerian music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy, has said some people will not understand why the biblical ‘prodigal son’ returned to his father’s house until they start paying rent.
The Mavin Records boss stated this in a post shared on his Instastory on Friday, August 19.
Culled from the book of Luke, the prodigal son was a young man who demanded for his inheritance from his father.
He left home and began living a reckless life with the resources he received from his dad.
After squandering it all, he was forced to take a menial job to make a living due to the untold hardship. He then decided to return home to his father when the suffering became unbearable.
Referencing the parable, Don Jazzy said a lot of people won’t understand the prodigal son’s action until they are faced with the financial responsibility of renting an apartment.
“Until you start paying house rent, you’ll never understand why the prodigal son came back”, he wrote on his Instastory.
Jazzy made the announcement in an Instagram post sharing a photo of the mom.
“I lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone @indianpicolo.”
“I am beyond devastated. I have never felt pain like this in my life but I am consoled by the good life she lived. She was loved by everyone that ever met her.”
“She was so strong till the last minute for us even while she battled with cancer.”
“I have never typed a more difficult caption in my life. Please pray for our Mums soul to Rest In Peace and for strength for my dad, my siblings, her grandchildren and our entire family to bear this loss.”
Businesswoman and lifestyle vlogger, Laura Ikeji, has reacted after she was tagged stingy for styling her wigs herself.
The fashionista who recently showed off her extensive wig collection—over 76 of them—is renowned for styling her own wigs and applying her own makeup rather than hiring a professional.
In a video addressing her critics, Laura revealed she has been tagged stingy for always doing these things herself rather than paying for someone to do them, as most celebrities do.
Reacting, Laura expressed pity for people who held such an opinion about her.
According to her, people who have not learned to do minor tasks for themselves will struggle to adjust when they relocate abroad.
Such people, in her opinion, are the ones who, upon moving overseas, would be quick to either chop or change their hair into dreadlocks owing to the costly maintenance.

A while ago, Laura took her fans on a quick virtual tour while pointing to different wigs. According to her, the sampled wigs were 76 and promised to show the rest on her YouTube channel.
Flaunting the expensive wig, the vlogger revealed that she intends giving some out– Friends, colleagues and fans have since taken over her comment section begging to have a share of the wigs.
A 46-year-old man, Thomas Nutt, who killed his wife on their wedding night and stuffed her body into a suitcase, has been handed a life sentence.
Nutt punched and then strangled his wife, Dawn Walker, just hours after they tied the knot, on October 27, 2021. He hid her body in a cupboard before transferring it to a suitcase and dumping it in the bushes behind their home in Lightcliffe, near Halifax, West Yorkshire.
Nutt then rang the police on October 31st, claiming his wife had gone missing that morning from their home.
The trial into the horror killing heard how Nutt killed Dawn sometime between October 27—the couple’s wedding day—and October 31, 2021, but the judge later said the killing took place on their wedding night itself.
Nutt was convicted of her murder earlier this month and sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on Friday, August 19. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 21 years, less the 289 days he had spent on remand.
Sentencing, his Honour Judge Johnathan Rose told Nutt,
“The impact of the sudden and violent death at a time which should have been filled with happiness will no doubt have an effect on those that knew her. The victim impact statements lay bare how this has been for them.
Dawn Walker died because you are a bully, used to getting your own way with women, used to controlling and manipulating women and used to using your considerable size advantage to inflict violence on women if you considered it necessary to do so.”
He went on to explain why he believed the murder took place on the night of their wedding.
“I am quite sure that is the night you killed her. She didn’t answer calls from Kiera on morning of 28th. It was said she had lost her phone in the pub. There was no way of knowing whether that was true or whether you disposed of the phone.
“I am satisfied the texts sent to Kiera at 1am were sent by you. Kiera said the text was not in the language or style of her mother and of your admission you text her pretending to be Dawn on 31st October. Malcolm Crawshaw said at 11pm that evening he heard noises, bumps and thumps. He heard no voices. This went on for about an hour before there was quiet for the rest of the night.” He said.
Judge Rose outlined the lengths Nutt went to to cover his tracks, including resisting pressure to ring the police at first and trying to hide the tracks left by the case he dragged her body out in.

“It is not easy for Funke and Banky W at their level to put themselves out there to effect change because criticisms and so many things are involved. I believe in Funke, I believe in Banky. With them, I can hold onto something and say I believe that they have a vision for the people,” she said.
The OnlyFans star who stabbed her Nigerian boyfriend to death has demanded that his corpse be exhumed for medical examination.
Recall that the 25-year-old social media influencer, identified as Courtney Clenney, was arrested in Hawaii in July in connection with death of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, 27, and is currently waiting to be extradited to Florida.
Courtney stabbed her boyfriend in the chest on April 3 following an argument at their luxury apartment in Miami, and it was gathered that they had a long history of fights and domestic dispute.
A video showing them fighting in an elevator two months before the murder incident was also released in court as an evidence of their abusive relationship.

The command’s spokesperson, ASP Jennifer Iwegbu, in a statement, said the suspected ritualist den was uncovered along Asoro slope, off Ekenhuan road, in Uzebu quarters.
Following internal investigation, the Edo civil society groups have refuted the report, stating that it’s a morgue, not a ritualist den as claimed by the police.
In a statement released by its Interim Chairman, Leftist Austine Enabulele, he said the building was newly built to accommodate the corpses after the operator was served quit notice from his former facility.
He added that there were name tags on some of the corpses and medical equipment’s were also found in the facility and it should have been a pointer that the place is not a ritualist den, but a morgue.
Read the statement below,
“It has been over 24 hours that the news of a ritualists’ den was discovered in Benin City allegedly. It has flooded the social media and mainstream media spaces making it viral. The news became worrisome to us as Edo people have no history of ritualism or its likes. More troublesome to us is the fact that, it was the Police Public Relations Officer of Edo state command that led a media report on same which would have suggested that proper investigation would have been carried out to arrive at what was reported in the media.
“Immediately the news got to us, we quickly dispatched a team of investigators to unravel the true situation of the matter and report accordingly for a follow up. Below were the findings of the investigation team.
“1. The said building where the mummified corpses were found is not a ritualists’ den but a newly built morgue to house evacuated corpses from an old facility because the operator had been given a quit notice there.
“2. The operational name of the morgue is St. Gabriel Funeral Home with other offices at No. 24, Ist Federal Road, Benin City. It has branches in Anambra state, Ebonyi state, Murtala Mohammed way and Ist East Circular road where the corpses were moved from.
“3. The shrine discovered was said to be a traditional form of worship by the proprietor as a spiritual protection for himself and the business.
“4. The police didn’t conduct investigation before addressing the media thereby raising an alarm of a ritualists’ shrine.
“5. As at the time of putting this report together, the police had not visited other branches of the morgue in different parts of the city.
“6. The videos of corpses in circulation revealed that some of the corpses had name tags and medical equipment were visible as well in the building. Further interview with one of the morgue personnel in another of their branch office revealed that there is a register of all the corpses in the facility and that some of the owners have started to call to take away their deposited corpses.
“7. Our team of investigators were denied access to the morgue by members of the vigilance group that have been stationed there.
“Flowing from the above, it is now convenient to state that, the insinuation by the police that it is a ritualists’ den is hereby debunked and dismissed as false alarm and an attempt to paint the good people of Edo in bad light. This is not to state that, the morgue might not be an illegal one or does not have the requisite permits to operate a morgue which should be subjected to thorough investigation by the police.

He showed me a knife and a gun and asked me to keep quiet. He said he had killed a woman already because the woman shouted.
He was like he was going to kill me, that the only way he was going to save me was to sleep with me. So, when we got to a lonely and dark place, he stopped and slept with me. Then, just a few meters from that place, he stopped the car and said I should go out.” She said.

Taking to Facebook, Bestman said rearing a goat or training a goat is more profitable than training a girl in school because they will end up regretting it.
According to him, a man can train his wife, sisters and relative in school but the worst thing he will ever do is to train a girlfriend in school.
He wrote on Wednesday, August 17,
“Instead of you to spend your money in training a girl in school, use that money, buy a goat and rear. It will give you multiple profits in less than 2 years. Training a dog is far better than training a girl in school,
Again I will say it here, the worst thing a man will ever do is to train a girlfriend in school. Especially when he doesn’t have more education than her
Na mumu dey train girl for school. What awaits you if you do is bigger than the moon. E dey always shock the mumu man trust me

“Pleadings on which no evidence was led are deemed abandoned. Therefore, Ayida’s evidence is deemed abandoned. The effect being that the petitioner’s evidence is unchallenged and uncontroverted,’’ she ruled.

There was pandemonium at the recently discovered ritualist den in Benin, Edo state, on Thursday, August 18, when a man identified one of the 20 mummified corpses at the scene as his mother’s corpse.
It would be recalled that operatives of the Edo State Police Command uncovered a ritualist den with 20 mummified corpses in Benin City, the Edo State capital, on Wednesday, August 17.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Jennifer Iwegbu, in a statement, said the suspected ritualist den was uncovered along Asoro slope, off Ekenhuan road, in Uzebu quarters. Read here.
Speaking with journalists at the scene on Thursday, the command’s spokesperson, SP, Chidi Nwabuzor, said the man identified as Osaro Nappiar, told the police that he deposited his late mother’s corpse at a mortuary run by one Chukwu Otu as he was looking for funds for a befitting burial.
“The man clarified that the owner of the place who is on the run (Otu) was operating somewhere at 1st East Circular Road, Benin City where his mother’s corpse was deposited.” Nwabuzor said.
Nwabuzor said Nappiar told the police that his mother died at a hospital at Uselu last year so he took the corpse to Otu’s because he had no money for the burial.
Nappiar said when he raised the money, he went to the place but was told Otu had relocated to Ekenwan road, Asoro area, and when he got there, they asked him to produce evidence of the corpse deposited there, but he was not with a card earlier given to him.
“As he was unable to produce the card, they asked him to come on another day and that was why he came down here. He has produced the card and that card is now with the police”, he said.
Nwabuzor said four suspects who were arrested have been helping the police in their investigation.

In his words,

This, however, enraged her lover, Groovy, causing him to lash out at her, stating that he finds it disrespectful that she repeatedly hails Hermes in his presence.
According to him, as her boyfriend, he deserves better and she should not hype another man over him.

Ilebaye, who was evicted on Sunday, August 14th, along with Khalid, had an interview with Classic FM and was asked who she thinks would win the N100 million grand prize.
