Legendary Nigerian singer, Olamide, has finally granted the wish of a Twitter user whom he had previously chastised when the latter asked for a car a few months ago.
In January 2022, the fan asked the YBNL Boss to help him with a car to bolster his e-cab hailing business and he also offered to pay Olamide back if he could get the car on hire purchase.
The fan tweeted,
“Baddo I need car for my bolt business oo… even if na HP i go pay back. Make we run biz. Thanks.”.
Olamide saw the tweet and replied, “Money weh you keep for my hand… ori iya e gbaa ile.”

In an updated tweet, the young man revealed that Olamide reached out to him and surprisingly gifted him a car following his post.
Sharing photos of himself in the car, the fan wrote,

Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has taken to social media to lambaste Tonto Dikeh for failing to show up at her residence after she claimed she was in Lagos to deal with her.
The duo have been at loggerheads for a couple of days now, and it all started when Kemi went online to berate Tonto Dikeh for rejoicing over the demolition of her ex, Prince Kpokpogri’s house and claiming she had a hand in it.
The 57-year-old Journalist said Tonto Dikeh didn’t play any role in it, and criticized her for not having regard for humanity and rejoicing over other people’s losses.
She also alleged that the mother of one purchased a gun in Ghana to kill her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill. Read here
Reacting to the allegations, Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram page to disclose that she has stormed Lagos state for the sole purpose of finding Kemi to deal with her.

Big Brother Naija season 6 star and brand influencer, Angel Smith, has relocated abroad.
The 22-year-old reality star made this revelation via her Twitter handle on Saturday, May 21. Taking to her verified Twitter page, Angel announced that she has relocated out of Nigeria.
“Proud to announce that I have relocated out of Naij”, she tweeted.
However, the tweet elicited varying reactions from tweeps. While fans and followers trooped to the comments to congratulate her, others noted that it would have been best if she had stayed back in the fatherland.
One of the remarks that prompted Angel to respond came from a fan who suggested that she should have stayed back.
“Congratulations but running out of naija is not the best option we all need to fight and rescue this country.” The fan wrote.
Irene Chiamaka Nwachukwu, the baby mama of Jamil Abubakar, the son-in-law of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has filed for sole legal custody of their son.
Irene’s action was prompted by a tweet shared by Jamil, noting that the punishment for blasphemy is death.
It can be recalled that in the wake of the controversy surrounding the death of a female student in Sokoto who was gruesomely murdered by a mob for alleged blasphemy, Jamil had shared a tweet seemingly supporting the killing of blasphemers.
“In Islam, we respect the Injil, Taura, Zabur, we were never taught to disrespect any of the book, or any of the prophets from Adam to Muhammad SAW and the Quran. The punishment for blasphemy is death In most religions including Christianity. Respect people’s religion, it’s simple.” Jamil’s tweet read.
In light of this, Irene averred that she doesn’t want her son to be raised or be in custody with someone with such extreme religious views.
According to her, she wouldn’t be seeking child support or needing his assistance with parenting. She also pointed out that her son is from a Christian home and she is concerned about leaving him with someone with such ideology.
The court documents, which Irene shared on her Instagram page, read,
“With your client Mr Jamil MD Abubakar’s recent tweeting on social media dated 12th May 2022, I have come to the decision that my child will not be going anywhere near him, now or in the future, as I do not want my child to be raised by or be in the custody of someone with such extreme religious views, in order not to confuse the poor boy’s thoughts or cloud his sense of reasoning.
“My child attends a school with pupils, from various backgrounds and beliefs, it will therefore be dangerous to expose him to such teachings. I’ve been the only responsible parent and my child has been in my custody since birth, so it’ll be best he stops contending custody with me in court at this time.
“This is also to note that I will not be asking for or accepting any child support, or needing his assistance with parenting such as attending Parents Teachers Association meetings, picking a school or having a say on what school he attends, or the house the child lives in as was stated in the countersuits filed against me where he claimed paternity to the child who I’ve been solely responsible for in the last five years.
“I hereby withdraw any motion that has been filed by my previous lawyer (who I disengaged in March 2022) in the past to that effect, as this might be your client’s reason for being entitled to my son’s custody.
“Forgive me if I expressed the desire to co-parent with him, where he asked to play the fatherly role, I am now realising that this will never happen as the child’s custody he’s asking for shares Christian blood, and I’m very disturbed and seriously concerned about leaving my child in the care of someone with such mindset and ideology about religion.
“I had thought that the man I met in my teenage years was liberal in his thoughts and views, but obviously I was too naive to see beyond that and as a mother, it is my duty to ensure the mental and psychological safety of my child.
“Your client Mr MD Abubakar will do well to drop the lawsuit he filed on 25th January, 2022, against me in the court of appeal and let the high court (who dismissed his case against me) grant my request for sole custody, as I do not need a dime from him to cater for my child now or in the future.
“He hasn’t been in my son’s life and I wish this continues to be so. As soon as I am done with my professional exams, I will be able to engage a new lawyer, and a fresh motion for sole custody will be filled and served before the next court date. In the meantime address any information or process directly to me.”
Big Brother Naija season 6 star, Tega, has cautioned individuals to be cautious while choosing partners with whom to have children.
The mother of one gave this advice in a post via her Instagram stories. According to her, having a child with someone necessitates extreme prudence since, if done wrongly, one could be digging one’s own grave.

Music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has visited the grave of late Nigerian singer, Sound Sultan.
The iconic singer, who is presently in the United States, paid a visit to the gravesite of his late friend and colleague Sound Sultan in New Jersey.
A video 2Baba shared on social media captured the moment he placed flowers on Sound Sultan’s grave. He was accompanied by media personality Emmanuel Ugolee and his tour manager, Frankie.

A visually impaired couple sealed their love as they got married in a wedding ceremony that attracted over 15 Catholic priests and government functionaries in Anambra state.
The groom was identified as Thankgod Ohaeri, a legal practitioner and the bride, Amarachi Nwokedi, works at the Anambra State Ministry of Education.
In an interview with the Anambra State Broadcasting Sevice, ABS, the ThankGodspoke about how he met his wife and how some people tried to discourage him from getting married.

A Zoo guide was left in premium pain after he lost his finger to a Lion.
The overzealous zoo attendant’s finger was bitten off by a lion at an attraction in St Elizabeth, one of Jamaica’s largest parishes.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday, May 20, at about 4:22 pm.
Eyewitnesses who filmed the unfortunate incident revealed that the zoo was coming to an end when the zoo attendant in an apparent effort to impress visitors, attempted to pet or tease the lion.
The Zoo attendant then paid the ultimate price as his right ring finger was partially bitten off after he stuck his hand through the chain-linked lion’s cage.

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a primary school teacher, Ayobami Oluwatobiloba Runsewe, for on suspicion that he defiled a 13-year-old girl in his class in Ago Iwoye area of state.
The 25-year-old suspect was arrested on Thursday, May 19, following a report lodged at the Ago Iwoye police division by the minor’s mother.
The command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement on Saturday, May 21, said the suspect lured the victim to his house at Ayegbami area of Ago Iwoye after the school lesson at about 4:30 pm and forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
According to Oyeyemi, “The blood-soaked pants of the victim was brought to the station as an evidence.
On interrogation, he initially denied having anything with the victim, but when the victim confronted him, he was unable to say anything further.”

The Catholic Diocese of Gboko in Benue State has suspended Reverend Father, Hycainth Alia, for expressing interest in the governorship contest of the state.
The Catholic priest is among the 12 governorship aspirants who purchased expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to participate in the party’s primary election.
In response, the Priest was suspended because his decision to join the Governorship race goes against the Church’s rule on partisan politics.
In a viral suspension letter addressed to all priests, religious and laity of the Catholic Diocese of Gboko, dated May 20, 2022 and signed by the Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Gboko, Bishop William Avenya, disclosed that the affected priest was earlier warned in line with the church’s rule on partisan politics.
The letter read,
“I write to communicate to you the suspension of my priest, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Iornem Alia from public ministry after series of admonitions to him.
The mother church does not allow her clerics to get involved in partisan politics on their own Ex can. 285, 3 CIC. You’re aware that my son, your brother and your priest has purchased the party’s form to contest for the office of the governor of Benue State under the All Progressives Congress which is usually against our vocation.
Therefore, to respond to the spiritual and pastoral needs of the church in the Catholic Diocese of Gboko, I have suspended him from exercise of sacred ministry. This canonical suspension takes effect from the moment it is communicated to him and last until he ceases from contumacy.”
Reacting to the suspension, Head of Media and Publicity, Alia 2023 Gubernatorial Organization, Kula Tersoo, said it was a normal practice of the church.
He noted that as stated clearly in the letter of suspension, Alia was only suspended from celebrating public Eucharistic masses, but that he remains a priest of the Catholic Church forever, adding that when his tenure ends in public civil service he shall resume his public masses and ministry.
Angry Muslim youths have reportedly stormed a community in Bauchi in search of a lady who has been accused of blasphemy.
It’s alleged that the said lady, a government worker from Gombe but married in Warji, a local government area in Bauchi, shared a video on social media in which a convert spoke about the Prophet of Islam.
After Friday’s Juma’at prayers, Muslim youths went in search of the woman. When they couldn’t find her, they went on a rampage, destroying Christian property in the area.
According to viral reports, the attack has left a number of Christians, including a pastor of an ECWA church, severely injured.

This comes one week after Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was lynched and set ablaze by her colleagues over alleged blasphemy.
It can be recalled that Deborah, a 200-level Christian student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was beaten to death and burnt by her fellow students on the school premises on Thursday, May 12, over a ‘blasphemous’ voice message she sent to her department’s group chat.
Her remains were laid to rest in her hometown, Tungan Magajiya in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
Peter Nielsen, the Danish husband of Nigerian singer, Zainab Nielsen whose stage name is Alizee, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing her and their 3-year-old daughter in 2018.
It would be recalled that Nielsen was accused of smothering his wife and daughter to death in their Banana Island residence at 3.45 AM on April 5, 2018, and was subsequently arrested and remanded in prison.
He was first arraigned in court on June 13, 2018, where he pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of murder contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Judgement was finally delivered on Friday, May 20 2022, when he was arraigned before a Lagos High Court on a two count charge of murder brought against him by the Lagos State Government.
The presiding judge, Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile, convicted the 54-year-old man and sentenced him to death by hanging on both counts.

In other news, the Ogun state Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old man, identified as Kingsley Essien, for allegedly trafficking his wife to Mali for prostitution and selling her 2-year-old son at N600,000.
The suspect was nabbed after his wife, Bright Essien, made a report at the Agbara divisional headquarters that in October 2021, her husband told her he had secured a job for her in Bamako Mali and being her husband, she believed him and travelled to Mali, unknown to her that he had sold her to a human trafficking cartel. Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, has highlighted some of the alleged troubles his colleague, Blossom Chukwujekwu, allegedly faced in his marriage to his ex-wife.
In an Instagram post while congratulating the thespian on his new marriage, Maduagwu said Chukwujekwu cried every night in his past relationship.
Maduagwu claimed Chukwujekwu went through a lot in the relationship but had to pretend to the public that all was well. Maduagwu also commended the actor for never coming out to drag his estranged wife even after their split.

The presidency has said that it is unfair for people to say that President Muhammadu Buhari ignores victims of violent attacks in Nigeria.
Presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, stated this on Friday, May 20, while reacting to the controversy generated by the president’s condolence visit to the United Arab Emirates over the death of the country’s President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“Those Nigerians should be told that they should look at all of the facts. I have accompanied the president to Sokoto on a condolence visit after a major incident.
“However, it is unfair also to make the conclusion wrongly that he had not paid attention or had not visited. He had been to Maiduguri quite a number of times.
“I accompanied him to Zamfara. He spoke to the governor, parliamentarians, religious and traditional leaders.
“I accompanied the President to Benue State. He addressed the governor in the Government House, Makurdi, after a major incident. I accompanied him to Jos after a crisis.
“So, did the President go to all the places where there have been incidents of violence or killings? No, he did not go.”
“It depends on what Nigerians choose to look at. The president has been responsive and he has been discharging the obligations that rest upon him as the president and commander-in-chief, in dealing with all of these matters. He has not cut short in any way.
“The point I want to make is that the administration has been very responsive. You just mentioned the railway incident in Kaduna, and this last week, the incident in Kano of an explosion.
“The vice-president of Nigeria was in both places. This country has one presidency. If the president is not there on account of engagements and the vice-president is there, let us take it that the presidency of Nigeria has attended to those matters.”

The Big Brother Africa star gave this advice via her Instagram stories while she shared her experience with using them.
According to her, she developed a loathing for men after the few times she tried using adult toys, and it became difficult for a guy to please her sexually.
She said the toys made her lose all desire for men, and it only got better when she stopped and got rid of the toys.

Big Brother Naija star, Angel Smith has revealed why she dropped out of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, after only two weeks.
The reality show star bared her heart in a recent podcast with media personality, Taymesan, and opened up on her life before BBNaija and her relationship with her parents.
According to her, she left UNILAG after a brief stint because she was sexually assaulted by a man she can’t really remember anymore, and this messed with her psyche so much that she couldn’t focus on school work.
Her words,
“I was in UNILAG for only two weeks. I struggled so much for those two weeks because when I got into UNILAG was my first sxxual assault experience.
After that experience happened, I can remember just moving through it and pretending like it never happened.
It affected my school life so much. I always blamed it on not knowing what to do in UNILAG when actually, I’ve always been fully aware of what I wanted to do.”
She said nobody knew that she had dropped out of school until much later, and when she told her mum about it, she didn’t disclose the true reason why she left school.
The BBNaija star and writer, who disclosed that she had wanted to be a gynecologist, said she had to give up the dream and began developing her English speaking and writing skills.
She said,
“I knew what I wanted to do but I didn’t just do that because I had experienced something so traumatic and I didn’t speak to anybody about it, especially not my granny because I had so much shame.
Nobody knew I was out of school until my mum had asked and I was like, ‘let me finally be out with it’.
“When I told her that and she asked me why, I obviously did not tell her what happened. I just told her I didn’t think I was doing the right course.
“Then she enrolled me in a foundational programme in the UK, which I dropped out from too.”
She explained that she couldn’t stay in school because at that point, she didn’t know what she wanted to do with her life but going for BBNaija gave her a lot of clarity.
