“Why you shouldn’t wait until you have money to find a wife” — Nigerian man

Nigerian man

A Nigerian man using a John Doe alias, has taken to Twitter to explain why men shouldn’t wait till they have money before finding a wife.

 Nigerian man

@jon_d_doe asserted that if a man waits until he is financially stable before finding a wife, there is a higher chance that he will marry the wrong woman.

According to him, it’s better for men to settle down with the woman who stood by them during their struggling days, instead of looking for a new woman to marry when they eventually make money.

Read his full post below,

“If you wait until you think you’ve gotten money before you start to look for a wife, the probability of finding the wrong wife is high. Let me not sound like a broken record. A lot of you in relationships have actually found your wives. But because you’re broke, unstable, you lack the confidence & conviction to make that woman believe in you,

It may sound somehow, but one reason she may leave you is because you’re “throwing things open”.

You’re afraid to commit to her & not fulfilling it when things look up for you. So you don’t want to “promise” her anything. I was also advised this way too. I also understand why a lot of men will rather not promise anything as no one can predict the future.

But come to think of it….

Wouldn’t you rather want your day one ride or die chick to be your future wife?

Trust me, all these marriage fanfare and engagement will only just be formalities. You’ve long been married just not official.

When she’s eating your money, you’ll be happy because you know she worked for it with you.

She drank Garri with you, why not eat chicken with you?

Why must someone else enjoy it and why should another man enjoy yours?

Didn’t you guys have a plan? Or you Just wanted to be fuck buddies? Common that’s waste of years.

You’ll always meet beautiful women, even as a married man, they’ll chase you.

But there will always be that missing “spark” if you don’t marry that woman who knew you from day one.

Just cast your minds on how your parents met. Most, had nothing but they worked things out.

I may be wrong, as I can’t prove it, but let’s not doubt it much if our fathers met our mothers as mostly virgins before marriage.”

 Zambian student arrested

The Russian Government didn’t take kindly to her actions and described it as “obscene” and “insulting”, the caption  was also tagged “offensive”.

She has now been charged to court under Part 4 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code, which accuses a person of “rehabilitating Nazism”. The charge attracts a three-year jail term.

In another video shared online by the Russian Investigative Committee, Ziba is seen in what looks like an interrogation room, apologizing profusely for her actions, while stating that she didn’t mean to offend anyone with the video.

She said,

“I want to apologise to everyone for the video that I posted on the 16th of April. Without knowledge of knowing what it meant and who it was going to hurt or upset, I posted a video of me dancing on a monument,” she said

“The video that I posted, I didn’t intend it to be offensive, neither did I mean it to offend anyone or to be disrespectful to those people that died. And because I did not know what exactly it meant, I never thought it would be this big. I am very very very sorry to everyone, I didn’t know. And if I knew I wasn’t ever going to post it. I hope I am understood and forgiven.”

Man who stole

Twitter user, @Lady_itohan, took to the micro-blogging platform to share this story in reaction to the trending conversation about people who became extra cautious after securing their visas to travel abroad.

Here’s why Wizkid replied “LOL” to Banky W saying he was disappointed he didn’t attend his wedding

The response Nigerian singer-songwriter, Wizkid gave his former record label, Bankole Wellington for saying he was disappointed he missed his wedding has stirred a frenzy on social media.

However, Wizkid’s response cannot be unconnected to a statement he made on his Snapchat page some months back.

With a number of netizens sharing varying opinions to his controversial “LOL” tweet some hours back, with many saying he gave a vibe of not being humble and all, the fact that Wizkid gave that response should not be unconnected to a statement he made on his Snapchat page some months back.

Recall that on his Snapchat some months back, after the singer was linked to some controversial happenings at the time, he stated that his answer to everything will be “Lol” and “Ok” and telling whomever it may concern to “Chop life”.

Here’s a screenshot from what he posted at the time,

While a lot of netizens have given his “Lol” tweet to Banky’s statement a lot of interpretations, it’s pretty obvious that the “No stress” singer did only what he said he would.

The only issue with this now, is given the social construct on the internet space, the acronym “lol” which means “laugh out loud” has a myriad of meanings. In Wizkid’s case, it’s quite hard to decipher which meaning he uses but it’s we know we’re going to get from him as response to Banky’s statement.

“Nigeria failed me” – Man writes after losing his fiancée and his car in a fatal accident (Photos)

A Nigerian man simply identified as Toyosi has been thrown into mourning after losing his fiancée in a fatal car accident.

On Thursday, April 21, Toyosi resorted to Twitter to express his anguish at his loss while also declaring that Nigeria had failed him.

According to him, he and his fiancée were involved in a ghastly accident in his car in March 2022. While he narrowly escaped, she died and the car was a total wreck.

The man explained how government personnel he interacted with during and after the accident that took his fiancee’s life let him down in in the discharge of their duties, posting photos of his wrecked car. He further mentioned that following the disaster, others took advantage of the circumstance to steal from them.

“I am an accident survivor (March 22 2022) and I have so much to say. Lost my fiancée who was beside me in this incident (while I drove) one month ago at Tollgate Ibadan. I honestly lost a treasure. Dropping this right here because I will refer back to this incident for good in months and years to come. Nobody needs to ask me if I’m broken or not, I am., I couldn’t save the LOML. I couldn’t and it’s so painful.

To the person who jumped from nowhere to the express and made us run into a trailer, God sees you even tho you escaped (you can’t run from God).

To FRSC officials who arrived at the incident with no first-aid till she gave up beside me while we were transited to the far located hospital and to ppl who took advantage of the situation to rob the accident car and steal while our lives were been fought for, thank u so much.

To FRSC officials who arrived at the incident with no first-aid till she gave up beside me while we were transited to the far located hospital and to ppl who took advantage of the situation to rob the accident car and steal while our lives were been fought for, thank u so much.

Nigeria failed me, Nigeria failed JOKE. It is still not the end yet cos God has saved me for a reason I’m figuring out. No broken bones. No internal bleeding. Just some injuries, pains and a big loss.” He tweeted.

Many husbands have abused the word ‘submission’ and used it as a control measure – Apostle Folorunsho Alakija (video)

Apostle Folorunsho Alakija

Billionaire businesswoman, Folorunsho Alakija has addressed the perceived misconception about the Bible’s instruction for wives to submit to their husbands.

Apostle Folorunsho Alakija

Preaching in her church recently, the clergyman stated that many men have abused the word ‘submission’ in Ephesians 5:22 and used it to control their wives.

According to her, many of these men have chosen to ignore the subsequent verses which admonishes couples to submit one to another, and asked husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the Church.

She noted that submission is supposed to be reciprocated and not use as a control measure for men to get their wives to do their biddings.

Her words,

“We find that husbands don’t want to concern themselves with verse 21 which says submit to one another but they chose to camp with wife submit to your husbands. But they didn’t go further down to go and read verses 25 and 26 which tell husbands more about what they are supposed to do,” she said.

“You find that Verse 21 was shorter but many have chosen to ignore it. There have been many arguments for and against, many controversies about this word submission. Many have twisted it to suit what they desire. Many husbands have used it as a control measure. That’s not what it is meant for. In fact, it is for unity and not for control.”

Sharing the video on her Facebook page, Mrs Alakija wrote in the caption,

“Submission in marriages has always been a controversial topic, but what does it really mean?

“As a Christian wife, it is your God-given duty to submit to and obey your husband as both of you submit to one another and Christ.

“While there are many references in the Bible about how a woman should behave in marriage, there are also scriptures that guide men on how they ought to treat their wives.

“Often overlooked, however, is that men are equally obliged to love, nourish and cherish their wives.

“Christian husbands should not abuse their authority. Let the word of God in Ephesians 5:21-25 guide you in leading a peaceful marriage.”

Congrats on the Benz bro, but please try to see a specialist, mental health issues are not what you joke with!

Two things in my opinion.

1: if this were true, then see a specialist; mental health issues should not be taken lightly. Retail therapy helps, but it’s no cure for depression on the long term.

2: If this were a joke, I appeal to you not to make humor out of depression, as many people are currently dealing with this and it won’t be kind to make seeds of hilarity spring forth from their already burdensome situations.

Congrats on your Benz once again and stay blessed.

“There is no sweetness in marrying at 46” – Nigerian man tells ladies not to follow Rita Dominic’s “footsteps”

A Nigerian man who is a motivational speaker, Olemerezi Basil has urged young single women not to follow in the footsteps of actress, Rita Dominic by getting married at the age of 46.

The gentleman took to his Facebook page to say that rather than celebrating a new union, one should be celebrating 20 years of marriage at the age of 46.

Rita Dominic's wedding Aso-ebi

Here’s what he wrote,

“Ladies please don’t follow the footsteps of Rita Dominic. There is no sweetness in marrying at 46years.

At 46 you should be celebrating 20years of marriage anniversary with your husband and your 20years old undergraduate by your side, even though it God that bless with kids.

The joy of celebrating each year marriage anniversary is greater than the enjoyment and publicity of marrying at 46.

As educationist, I will categorically tell you that women have higher chances of giving birth to their most intelligent kids at their prime-age of between 22 – 28 so tell me how high or low is the probability of giving birth to an intelligent child at 46.

I know it God that gives husbands but stop being selective and you will get marry before 46.

Note: Getting marry early or late is not a guarantee that the marriage will not have issues that can lead to divorce.”

Businesswoman accused of snatching her employee’s fiancé, shares her side of the story

Businesswoman accused

The businesswoman who was accused of snatching her former employee’s fiancée, has shared her own side of the story as she denies the allegation.

Businesswoman accused

It was earlier reported that the ex-employee, Ashley Nwosu, took to Twitter to point accusing fingers at her former employer, Christabel, accusing her of snatching her man and firing her in the process. Read here

Businesswoman accused

Taking to Twitter to narrate what transpired from her own point of view, Christabel wrote on Twitter today, April 21,

“Chidinma started working with me at Christa Cuisine @christacuisine late December 2019.
We were more like coworkers cos we were really close. I fulfilled my part of the agreement and she fulfilled hers too.
Not until she decided to start stealing from me.

Unending missing funds with no reasonable explanation.
Everyone suspected and pointed fingers at her, But I had so much trust in her and didn’t believe any of them.
She had a fiancé at that time who always frequented the work place.
He was tall, dark and handsome (my spec).

I always told her he was my spec, but never had a personal relationship with him. It was just “Good morning “, “How’s it going?” etc
She told me he always asked of me and made it known to her that I’m his type of woman. I’ll laugh it off cos I had no interest in him.

@tachaaddict Please tell them how you ‘moved’ a bag of flour, bottles of flavor and the mixing machine to your house. You told your fiancé I gave them to you as Christmas gift when I had no idea you had them.
You made me believe there was a robb*ry when there was none.

The first time I had a serious convo with her Fiancé was when I discovered she has been stealing from me.
I was so heartbroken, I needed someone to talk to. I couldn’t call the police or report to the authorities cos I took her as a sister and a friend.

When I spoke to him about it, he told me she has stolen from him on several occasions but he let it slide.
That was when he opened up to me about her violent nature. Told me she hits him. I felt really sorry for him and introduced him to a therapist from Mentally Aware.

Let me make this clear. I never dated him, All I felt for him was concern.
The therapist advised him to leave the abusive relationship he had with Chidinma. I checked up on him often though and he tried to kiss me on several occasions but I DECLINED.

I knew it wasn’t right. That was when I decided to cut off all communications with him cos he wouldn’t stop asking. Chidinma on the other hand, found out I helped her man to leave the abusive relationship he had with her.

She showed up at the bakery and – Called me all sorts of names.
The insults combined with the constant theft made me to conclude that it was over. That was when I ended whatever I had with her.

She’s been telling everyone I snatched her man and fired her, but that wasn’t the case. I liberated him and my company.”
