“Women who wedded their husbands in court do not worry about Polygamy and this is why court wedding is the best! If Yul Edochie and May did court wedding, he will have to deal with the consequences of BIGAMY. Dear women, always insist on court wedding, it’s the best in other to protect yourself against BIGAMY and other things too.” She wrote.
Speaking further, she highlighted the benefits of getting married in court. Read her full post below,
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT A COURT WEDDING
1. PROTECTION AGAINST BIGAMY: in you wedded in court, your partner is not allowed to marry another person unless he or she gets a proper divorce, Unlike in traditional weddings you can marry the number of wife you like. BIGAMY is a serious crime and it is punishable with 5 years imprisonment. Your partner must get a proper divorce before he or she is allowed to marry someone else!
2. FAMILY PROTECTION: here in Nigeria, there are so many families that always throw a woman with her children out of her husband’s house and take over their properties immediately the man dies. This kind of abominable act does not happen if you did a court wedding. If you love your wife and children, you should consider a court wedding to protect them.
3. LESS STRESSFUL, FASTER AND LESS EXPENSIVE: If you are a financially struggling man, you should consider a court marriage because it is cheaper to fund and it eliminate all the dress code and asoebi expenses. It is also very faster and less stressful.
4. RELOCATION: court wedding certificate is the most acceptable marriage certificate when you want to relocate abroad or need to show proof of your marriage in big organisations.
5. DIVORCE: most people marry happily with no intentions for separation but sometimes some things or disagreement can lead to separation and this is the part that scares most Nigeria men because they are afraid the woman might swindle them when divorce happens, with the process of payment of alimony and child support.
This shouldn’t be something to fear about, if you are rich and afraid of a woman or man swindling you, you both should sign a prenuptial agreement. This prenuptial prenuptial agreement protects your assets in the event of divorce or death. This prenuptial agreement is created by the couple before they get married which will state how they want to manage their assets during marriage or in the event of death or divorce. Most rich people do not marry without signing a prenuptial agreement now.

“It’s disrespectful for a married woman to ask for money from any man that’s not her husband.
And this includes her own brothers.
If she wants to ask for money from her own brothers, she should first seek for the consent of her husband.
Even if her husband is broke & they need the money.
Even if she used the money to sort problems in their family.
She must first get his consent. The worst are married women who go all the way to ask their ex for financial help.
It’s a let down on her husband. Even if she didn’t ask from her brothers & they just decided to give, she should still tell her husband. She can decide not to say the exact amount, depending on the type of man she’s married to but he should be made aware.
Call it pride or ego or whatever, but no man takes it kindly to know that another man is financing his wife.”
A lot of men have expressed agreement with John Doe’s tweet as they affirm that it’s indeed disrespectful for their woman to ask other men for money.
Reacting, a Ghanaian man disclosed that he had to divorce his wife because she was consistently asking her brothers and cousins for money.
A Benue State Polytechnic lecturer, Andrew Ogbuja has been acquitted of the charges of rape and death of 13-year-old schoolgirl, Ochanya Ogbanje, on Thursday April 28.
It can be recalled that in 2018, it was reported that the minor was constantly raped by her aunt’s husband, Andrew and his son, Victor, until she took ill and died.
Ochanya who was buried in November 2018, battled Vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) and other health complications at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi before she passed away.
In a recent development, the prime suspect, Ogbuja, has been acquitted by the Benue state High Court Judge, Justice Augustine Ityonyiman, on grounds that the prosecution couldn’t prove the four-count charge against him.
The Judge assessed two autopsy reports from the Federal Medical Centre in Makurdi and the Nigeria Police Forensic Laboratory in Lagos, and stated that the police investigators didn’t medically examine Ogbuja to match his specimen with that of the deceased.
Ityonyiman, who was reportedly perplexed by the situation, said the autopsy report from the Federal Medical Centre in Makurdi said Ogbanje died from natural causes, while the one from the Nigeria Police Forensic Laboratory in Lagos said she died from a sickness related to sexual abuse.
Although the deceased narrated the agonizing experience she passed through in the hands of the Ogbujas in a video evidence presented in court, Ityonyiman said he regrets that she couldn’t share her story before she died and then acquitted the lecturer of all charges.
However, in a separate case filed against his wife, Felicia Ochiga-Ogbuja, before the Federal High Court in Makurdi by NAPTIP – National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons, she was convicted of negligence in the rape of the minor.
She was accused of failing to protect the deceased from being raped and abused by her husband and son.
The Judge in charge of her case, Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon, said Mrs Felicia failed in her duty to care and protect the minor, allowing her son to abuse her even after her daughter, Winifred, drew her attention to the sexual assault.
Judge Olajuwon also noted that Mrs Felicia didn’t challenge claims that she threatened to throw the minor out of the house if she told anyone about the sexual abuse.
Olajuwon added;
“When Ochanya was examined, it was discovered that the membrane covering the vagina opening was not there, which is an indication that Ochanya had been deflowered.
“During examination, it was discovered that Ochanya had urinated on her bed as she could not hold her bladder.
“The medical report further stated that a working diagnoses of the fecal and urinanary incontinence in a sexually abused child was made.”
She added that asides the physical injuries, the minor would have been scarred for life if she had survived the abuses.
In passing her judgement, Judge Olajuwon said,
“I hold that the defendant is guilty as charged in respect of count one and that the defendant is guilty as charged contrary to Section 314 of the Criminal Code and she is hereby convicted.”
