Pelumi Balogun, the sister of the young lady identified as Yetunde Balogun whose husband’s family claimed committed suicide in Ilorin, Kwara State, has spoken up.
It can be recalled that the mother of two who was supposed to turn 31 on Easter Monday, was pronounced dead at the general hospital, Ilorin, on Monday April 11.
The cause of her death is still a mystery and a post mortem test will be conducted to ascertain the real cause of her sudden demise.
While her husband’s family claim she ingested Sniper after having an argument with her husband over his plan to marry a second wife, another report claim she was killed by her husband and her mother-in-law for being a Christian.
Speaking on the issue with Daily Trust, the grieving sister of the deceased refuted claims that her sister killed herself, and accused her husband’s family of hiding something.
Her words,
“This is an injustice, because my sister can never kill herself. This is really painful for my family, and we believe they are hiding something from us. But we will fight it to the end,” she lamented.
“When my younger sister, Deborah, got to Yetunde’s house, she met a lot of people and was told that our sister was dead. Till now, they haven’t bothered to call us to inform us of the incident.”
“We were supposed to celebrate her birthday last Monday and not mourning her. I had told her not to return to that house but she refused. She went and didn’t return alive.
“She is still at the mortuary. The autopsy result will be out on Tuesday. What everyone is saying about my sister is false, but I know God will fight for her. She is dead and can’t stand up to clear herself; when the result is out, we’ll know the truth.”
Annie Idibia, actress and wife of 2Baba, has admitted that she was not in a relationship with the singer when he had four children with other women.
Meanwhile, the mother of two recently claimed in an interview with the cast of Young, Famous, and African that knowing that her husband had children with several women is devastating. Particularly considering she met him before these ladies.
Annie, however, clarified to a fan who advised that she divorces her husband to heal, that the four times her husband welcomed children with other women, they were not dating.
“4 times, wasn’t even dating him all 4 times!!!! Yes I emt him first! But we broke up even before his first kid!! THose kids were made 7 years before he even proposed!! But this show didn’t edit it that way for people to understand.. they made it seem like all 4 kids were made in my marriage which was wrong.” She wrote.
Reacting to this revelation, Uche Maduagwu said Annie had Nigerians sympathise with her when she made the four kids’ statement on the reality show, but she altered the tale when a fan encouraged her to divorce 2Baba.
He went on to ask why she “always played the victim of 2Baba’s past since he had the four kids when they weren’t dating”.
“Dear Annie if you were not dating when he had his 4 pikins why you always playing the victim of his imperfect past. You really need to grow up marriage no be Telemundo”, he wrote in part.

Former presidential aide and author, Reno Omokri has weighed into the trending conversation about if parents should beat their children as a corrective and disciplinary measure.
Reno took to his official Instagram page to share his opinion as he disagreed with the school of thought that beating children is a good way of instilling discipline.
According to him, if beating children is indeed good, Africa will have the most well-behaved adults by reason of the disciplinary measures meted on children by their African parents
He went on to proffer another way parents can correct and discipline their children.
His words,
“Beating children has never led to discipline. But it always leads to fear. And Scripture says ‘perfect love casts out fear’-1 John 4:18. Consult child psychologists about this. They will tell you beating either hardens children or makes them timid. Many children who bed wet, were beaten. And bed wetting and animal cruelty are linked to a higher likelihood of adult criminality. It is called the Macdonald triad. If you want your children to turn out well, punish them when they misbehave by temporarily depriving them of things you know they want, and reward them when they behave. If you regularly reward children for good behaviour, they will hardly display bad behaviour, because they become addicted to the rewards they get when they behave well. It is like you. You do not go to work out of fear. You go because you anticipate a reward-salary. I have read Scripture in the original language and ‘spare the rod and spoil the child’-Proverbs 13:24 is a proverb. It is not meant to be taken literally! You did not turn out well because your parents beat you. How many beatings did Elon Musk parents give him?”
Nigerian clergyman, David Ibiyeomie, has asked parents to wait till their children are in university before purchasing smart phones for them.
The founder of Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt, stated this during a recent sermon in his church. According to him, phones expose these young ones to a lot of vices, so it’s important to protect them from these vices until they are old enough.
Instead of buying phones for their children, he suggested that parents should allow them to use their phones while being monitored, or that they get a land line and install it in the house.
“Don’t buy phone for any child who has not gone to the university. It may sound awkward because you’re civilized, but don’t do it… Don’t buy phone its not civilization. phones and tablets many things pop up… Let them use your phone, or buy land line and put in your parlor”, he said.

Chrisland Schools, Lagos has debunked allegations that they conducted a pregnancy test on one of its female students.
The school recently made the news after an alleged sex video of some students of the school who went to Dubai to represent the school in a sporting competition found its way to social media.
The mother of the female in the alleged sex video then claimed that her daughter was ”raped” and the management of the school who knew about the said rape, tried to conceal it for a month and they also conducted pregnancy tests on her daughter and even warned her never to tell her mum what had happened in Dubai.
The mother also claimed that the school management threatened to kill the female student who is said to be a 10-year-old, if she ever tried to tell anyone about her dilenma.
In response, a statement was released by Akin Fadeyi, a member of the Advisory board of the school, and the management said it was COVID19 tests and not pregnancy tests they conducted on all the students who embarked on the trip to Dubai. The school also said out of the 77 students who represented the school at the event, only six were involved in the misconduct.
Read the statement below;
“We have followed up on reports making the rounds on certain developments bordering on the morals and ethics of some of the students under our care, who represented the school at the World School games, Dubai between 8 and 14 of March 2022.
While we understand the emotions this has generated, we assure the public that our first approach as an institution was to assume parental roles by offering support to those involved and ensuring that nothing affected their senses of esteem.
However, after a comprehensive evaluation of the situation, we cannot help but express how scandalised and distressed we feel as mothers, fathers and instructors with a relationship that holds a direct bearing on the development of those involved.
Nonetheless, we took a critical view of the number of students who partook in this recent trip and who did the school proud in our quest to expand the horizons of our students holistically through global exposure, which takes into account a wholesome development of the mind, body and spirit through sporting engagements.
Of the 76 children who represented Chrisland, 71 ensured adherence to our standards, abiding with laid down regulations and code of conduct, while doing us very proud in the process. Within these 71, we kept our girls on the 11th floor and Boys on the 4th floor to draw clear lines that respect moral boundaries.
We were, however, compelled to engage with the parents of the remaining students who unfortunately got themselves involved in misconduct, and in accordance with our code of conduct processes, which are well known to the parents, we meted out measured reprimands to them to instil a sense of discipline and as deterrence to others. This was also to caution our students on the need to remain on the path of resisting wrong influences.
The disciplinary action was in order not to undermine our cohesive culture as a community of future leaders and committed instructors, but to be assertive in handing down the sort of discipline that seeks to correct and reform our children, when they stray from the path of rectitude.
While we hasten to affirm that as an institution that is managing children from diverse backgrounds, we cannot lay claim to, or embark on any sense of self-righteousness in our approach, but we learn and evolve within the frames of best practices every single day.
As such, as we recognise that there will always be space for improvement, we are therefore irrevocably committed to re-evaluating our processes to reinforce child protection protocols, even as we shall leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the sense of the esteem of the children involved are uncompromisingly preserved. We have activated child protection processes and shall be engaging the expertise of child psychologists to ensure we translate this incidence to benefit the children in our care.
We are therefore not going to give room to sentiments that adopt less empathy in terms of the effects of the present situation on our children. We implore all of us as stakeholders to work together as build-up partners, rather than pull-down enablers. For every comment we make in this delicate period, we should remember that those involved are children and as such, they deserve our very responsible management of this situation in order not to affect their mental health, as we seek to clear this temporary fog in the path of their growth. This is why irrespective of currently charged emotions, we need to endeavour to keep our heads in focus while carrying the authorities along in manners that leave nothing hidden, especially as we had nothing to hide.
We are proud to reassure our stakeholders that no rape of anyone or the administration of a pregnancy test on any child took place on our watch. For emphasis, only a COVID post-travel test was conducted on the returning delegation of our students, in compliance with COVID-19 travel protocols, at the Life Centre Medical Services on March 21, 2022, at School Hall, Opebi.
This was through the nose swab test as consistent with COVID-19 health protocols. We trust that this can be verified at the source provided. To insinuate that a pregnancy test was carried out on a student, for whatever reason, therefore, is a highly unfortunate conjecture.
Nevertheless, our processes would be readily opened up for the scrutiny of regulators and stakeholders at the earliest indication of this, to enable the course of scientific or forensic inspections. We are certain this will lay to rest any shred of doubt or hazy optic that the present flurry of activities might have occasioned.
Finally, we assure parents and guardians that we take unequivocal cognisance of the duty of care entrusted to us and we would never betray this, as we are more than ever resolved to work harder at keeping and building the trust reposed in us. We refuse to indulge in or give credence to the sentimental contrivances seeking to fuel this crisis the more with various renditions that have taken over the social media space.
The only account we are obligated to render is how well the children entrusted in our care have been managed, as we have excelled in doing in the past 45 years of our existence as an educational institution, and to ensure that in this whole development, the only winners here shall be this child.”

OPPO A96 Processor
Your smartphone processor, also known as a chipset, is a component that controls and guarantees that everything in your phone works properly. It’s similar to the brain in the human body.
Every action you take on your smartphone is transmitted directly to the processor. These actions are subsequently translated into visual changes on your screen in a fraction of a second. Isn’t it amazing?
The PPO A96 is powered by the Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G (6nm) processor. With these specs, the mobile device provides high bandwidth and low latency connectivity for seamless productivity.
Charging Speed
Tell me about a mobile gadget that charges to 100% within only an hour! The OPPO A96 is one.
Facts have it that the mobile device has an ultra-fast 33W charging speed. This implies that if your mobile device’s battery dies, you can virtually immediately resume all of your favourite activities.

Battery
One of the advantages you should not take lightly is your android mobile phone battery. Long battery life is inversely proportional to more phone usage time.
With the OPPO A96, a 5000mAh battery will last you the entire day, regardless of how you use it. A fully charged battery lasts about 33 hours, 17 hours for YouTube, 40 hours for music playing, and 15 hours for regular conversation.
ROM and RAM
The OPPO flagship mobile device comes with 8GB of RAM and RAM expansion software that can increase RAM by up to 5GB; up to 100,000 images, 600 videos, and 3000 applications.
Screen
The android phone screen is as comfortable as ever. Its comfortable, smooth (90Hz), vibrant (96% NTSC) screen frees your eyes from the stress and fatigue caused by long screen times.

Its NTSC colour gamut of 96 percent successfully displays true brilliant colours. The OPPO A96 also has a sRGB display with less brilliant colours, which is ideal for people who can’t stand looking at bright visuals for lengthy periods of time.
All-day AI Eye Comfort
During the day, when you’re outside in the bright sun, the screen brightness rises to 600 nits, up from the standard 480 nits. It allows you to see the screen without having to cover it with your hands.
The moonlight display can autonomously reduce screen brightness at night, resulting in a softer and smoother output in low-light conditions.
If your eyes are fatigued and sensitive to light at the end of the day, you can use Eye Comfort Mode to limit blue light from your screen and prevent eye strain.
Dual Speakers
The majority of android phone speakers are of low quality. However, there are a select few phones that have made audio quality a high priority, with high sound quality and some with front-facing speakers.
The OPPO A96 comes with dual speakers at the top and bottom, making the sound better, louder, and crystal clear.
IPX4 Water Resistance.
Have you ever wondered how a smartphone that has been submerged in water to the point of devastation can still function? That is an excellent question.
Waterproof, dustproof, and water resistant are just a few adjectives used by marketers to give their products a more robust appearance.
The audio industry, particularly with headphones, is one area where it’s becoming more frequent. But, in the end, what does it all mean? How much water can an OPPO A96 handle?
Don’t worry if your cell phone accidentally gets exposed to water or rain. All you have to do is wipe off the water drops and continue using it.
IP5X Dust Resistance
International Protection Marking, or Ingress Protection, is the abbreviation for International Protection Marking. It is an international standard that specifies the levels of electrical enclosure sealing efficiency against substances such as dirt, water, and tools. To put it another way, it specifies what a product’s case will keep out.
IP5X indicates that a product is dust-resistant. Although dust entrance is not completely avoided, sufficient dust shielding ensures that the product can work in sand. For most consumer-grade applications, a rating of 5 is sufficient.
The OPPO A96 IP5X Dust Resistance properties effectively prevents the ingress of dust which guarantees long-term use.
Design.
Phone designs are considered as one of any android device’s pecks, and the OPPO flagship product, OPPO A96; which was launched on March 23rd, 2022, is regarded as the perfect choice for the A class.

It can be recalled that October 2021 was a hot period on social media following claims that Jane Mena was having an affair with Tonto’s boo at the time, Prince Kpokpogri, and that he had an alleged sex tape of them having sxx.
This led to Tonto and Kpokpogri’s messy breakup which escalated quickly into online tussles between the actress, her ex, and the married dancer, Jane Mena.

However, an online troll commented, saying it’s money that makes ladies drop the cookie majority of the times, adding that they would willingly sleep with a man from morning till night if he has money.
“Tell them… na money blow una pass… morning till evening”, the troll commented.
Reacting, Jane Mena insinuated that the troll who was using a fake account, was following the orders of Tonto Dikeh and sent her back to the actress.
According to her, the troll should tell Tonto that if she indeed slept with Kpokpogri, then he wouldn’t have dated her because he would be totally captivated by her sexual prowess.
She wrote,
“Omo!

The father of one, who gave this advice in a post shared via his Instagram page, said it’s high time parents stopped shying away from conversations about sex with their kids and taught their children about sex.
According to him, everything in Nigeria today is centred around sex, from images to songs that these children are exposed to.
He went on to say that 14-year-olds had sex in his generation, so it’s no surprise that the age for youngsters in this generation has plummeted.
“Everything in Nigeria is centered around sex. Children are faced daily in fact inundated with sexual images. All the songs the media feeds them, everything is hyper sexualized. Sex tapes of their media created role models everywhere coupled with the internet, just start sex education early instead of forming saint, In my generation most 14 year olds were already doing it or planning to do it, I am nit surprised the age dropped.” He wrote.

Should we talk about what some of you did during Jamb lesson and WAEC extension? Or make we pretend sey all of us been good?
That’s why all these takes are hilarious. Because most of us where experimenting when we were 13+.
