Nollywood actress and movie producer, Ruth Kadiri, has spoken on why she believes “one Nigeria” might be a myth and impossible to achieve.

Thespian, in a post she shared via her Insta-stories, said until the country’s constitution is reviewed and excesses curbed, Nigeria cannot be one.

This comes after a female student, said to be a Christian, was brutally killed in Sokoto for alleged blasphemy. Deborah Samuel’s death sparked outrage and varying reactions on social media.

While the majority berated the mob action, others, including Jamil Abubakar, the son of former IGP, Muhammad Abubakar, justified the killing, noting that the punishment for blasphemy is death.

“In Islam we respect the Injil, Taura, Zabur, we were never taught to disrespect any of the book, or any of the prophets From Adam to Muhammad SAW & the Quran. The punishment for Blasphemy is DEATH! in most religions including Christian. Respect Peoples religion it’s simple!” Jamil wrote.

Reacting, Kadiri noted that the leaders hands are tied and the whole constitution of the country are a mess, making it impossible for a truly one Nigeria to emerge

“One Nigeria can truly not work, except these excesses can boldly and truly be checked. The country’s constitution is a mess. The leaders’ hands are tied. If we cannot find laws that stand above religion. Then it’s best we both go our separate ways.” She wrote.

Nollywood actress, Uche Ebere has berated her colleague, Tonto Dikeh, over her reaction to the demolition of her ex, Prince Kpokpogri’s house.

Kpokpogri had gone Live on Instagram in the early hours of Saturday, May 14, to lament bitterly while capturing the aftermath of the demolition of the gate and fence of his house by the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA.

Tonto who appears to be thrilled by the sad incident, has been gloating on her social media page and celebrating her ex’s downfall.

She wrote on her IG page,

Her reaction didn’t sit well with her senior colleague, Uche Ebere, who described it as “witchcraft”, and stated that it’s only a devil in human form that would be happy when someone is in pains.

“This is witchcraft, to be happy when someone is in pain, what you wished for others must definitely come back to you, so know the kind of things you wish for people, some people are just devil in human form, this is soo dad to watch, haaaaa my goodness,” she wrote.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has reacted to the criticisms she received for gloating over the demolition of her ex, Prince Kpokpogri’s house.

Kpokpogri had gone online on Saturday, May 14, to lament bitterly after the gate and fence of his mansion was demolished on the orders of the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA.

“Why we demolished Kpokpogri’s house” – FCTA reveals

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has in a new development revealed why the building owned by actress, Tonto Dikeh’s ex-boyfriend, Joseph Egbri, popularly known as Kpokpogri, was demolished on Saturday morning, May 14th, 2022.

Aide to the FCT Minister had an interview with Punch where he stated that Kpokpogri’s house was demolished because it was built on a major highway.

The Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Monitoring, Inspection, and Entrustment, Attah Ikharo, also revealed that the building didn’t get approval from the necessary agencies.

“His house is on a super highway known as M-16. He doesn’t even have a building plan approval. It’s like somebody who knows that the highway is coming sold the land to him and he just went to build. We have been asking him to stop but he refused.”

Debunking Kpokpogri’s claim, the minister’s aide noted that he was warned against building on the land but he refused.

“In Abuja, before you build, you must get building plan approval. There was no approval at all for him. The place was initially allocated to somebody long ago. So I think the person now sold it to somebody who then sold it to him. When he discovered that it was a road, He didn’t stop but kept rushing the building. The whole building was built in less than a year.

The Federal Housing Authority Managing Director came here twice this week. The MD came the day before yesterday (Thursday) that they didn’t give him approval and the building was illegally constructed.

The FCDA Executive Secretary also came, adding that it was illegally constructed. We came here twice this week asking him to vacate because of the super highway.” Ikharo said

He added that the only impediment on the highway which began from Guzape 2 was Kpokpogri’s house, stating that in three months time, the road work will commence on the land.

There have been speculations that the marriage of actress, Funke Akindele and her producer husband, JJC Skillz, is on the brink of collapse, and the couple’s recent action seems to confirm the rumour.

The power couple attended the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) gala night on Friday, May 13, and their choice to stay away from each other couldn’t be more obvious, and it has raised the eyebrows of their fans.

First of, JJC Skillz arrived the award night alone as seen in a video he posted on his Instagram page, and he didn’t attempt to mingle or talk to his wife at the event, even though she was present as well.

Korra Obidi’s estranged Husband, Justin Dean, has made fresh allegations that Korra cheated on him when she was 4 months pregnant.

His latest accusation comes after Korra and her sister said that Justin physically abused Korra in the relationship.

Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has averred that insulting Prophet Mohammed is every Muslim’s uncompromising redlines that must not be crossed.

Taking to his official Twitter page on Saturday, May 14, the politician stated that no Muslim will ever take it lightly with anyone who insults the Prophet.

According to him, every Muslim respects Jesus Christ and the same respect should be accorded to the Prophet. He went on to advise everyone to respect this boundary and avoid saying condescending things about the Prophet.

His tweet seems like a reaction to the murder of a female Christian student of a College of Education in Sokoto state, who was beaten to death and burnt over allegations of blasphemy.

While there is continued outrage to the killing of a Christian female student, Miss Deborah Samuel by a mob in Sokoto on Thursday over alleged blasphemy, a classmate of the deceased has narrated the moments that led to her death.

With the British Government and the Christian Association of Nigeria beckoning on the government to bring the perpetrators to justice and President Muhammadu Buhari ordering a probe into the incident, Deborah’s family and friends have been left to mourn her tragic death.

Speaking with Vanguard, one of the students of the college, who witnessed how Deborah was flogged, killed, and burnt revealed how the scene as the most horrible she has ever witnessed.

The student who gave her identity simply as Rakia, gave an account of how the voice note of the 25-year-old student escalated into an uncontrollable situation.

Speaking from her parents’ home in Gidan Kaya area of Sokoto State, the visibly shaken student told Vanguard,

“Deborah was my course mate. I just stepped into the class when the uproar on her voice note started.

It was her own course mates that started it. One of them said Deborah dared them by refusing to apologise when she was asked to. It all started with a debate on the upcoming examination on a general WhatsApp platform created for our course mates. One of the students asked her how she passed the last semester’s examination and in response, she said it was ‘Jesus o.’

“Immediately, about three other chats came in from two Muslims and one Christian, telling her to retract the statement. Two students from other departments who over heard some Muslim boys discussing the matter told Deborah’s close friends to prevail on her to retract the statement. But she replied via a voice note on the platform ‘Holy Ghost fire. Nothing will happen to me.

Is it by force that you guys will always be sending this religious stuff in this group? The group wasn’t created for that but rather as a notice on test, assignment, exam, etc, not this nonsense religious posts’

“We were made to understand that some young men were brought from outside before the outrage. I was in class when some of our course mates rushed in, saying ‘there is fire on the mountain o’.

“The Muslim students led the strangers to the class to look for her. In fear, those in the class tried to help her escape and took her to the security post from where they hoped to create a way for her to run outside Already, a cab was waiting outside to drive her straight to the police station. Unfortunately, the mob overpowered everyone who tried to save her. They even threatened to kill anyone who attempted to stand in their way.

“She was dragged out, flogged and stoned. The last word in her mouth was ‘what do you hope to achieve with this?’ By then some of our coursemates were making calls to some of our lecturers to save the situation. At a point, all the Christian students fled the school premises. It was when I got home that I heard she was set ablaze. Since the incident, I have been having a flash of her pleading expression. She pleaded for mercy and called out for help but it was far from her. What a cruel way to die,” she said.

Mother sues TikTok after 10-year-old daughter dies attempting dangerous “blackout challenge”

A woman is suing TikTok after her daughter died while attempting a viral challenge she saw on the app called the “blackout challenge.”

According to the Pennsylvania mother, Tawainna Anderson, her 10-year-old daughter choked to death after taking part in the risky social media challenge, and she has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance.

In the lawsuit, Tawainna Anderson said her daughter, Nylah Anderson, participated in a ‘blackout challenge’ after it appeared on her ‘For You’ page in December.

The ‘blackout challenge’ urges users to try to hold their breath until they pass out, according to the lawsuit, which was filed in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Thursday.

In December 2021, Anderson rushed her daughter to the hospital after finding she passed out.

The 10-year-old spent nearly a week in a pediatric intensive care unit before she died from her injuries, the lawsuit said.

Tawainna Anderson accused TikTok of having a ‘defective design,’ and that the company’s algorithms are exposing young children to dangerous ideas.

“The viral and deadly TikTok Blackout Challenge was thrust in front of Nylah on her TikTok For You Page … as a result of TikTok’s algorithm, The TikTok Defendants’ algorithm determined that the deadly Blackout Challenge was well-tailored and likely to be of interest to 10-year-old Nylah Anderson, and she died as a result”, the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit describes Nylah as an ‘active, happy, healthy and incredibly intelligent child’ who spoke three languages by the time she turned 10.

At the time of her death, her mother told ABC13, “She was a butterfly, she was everything, she was a happy child.”

TikTok reacting to the mum’s lawsuit said in its statement said that the ‘disturbing challenge’ long predates their platform, and had never been a ‘TikTok trend.’

“We remain vigilant in our commitment to user safety and would immediately remove related content if found,’ the company said in the statement. ‘Our deepest sympathies go out to the family for their tragic loss”. The statement read.

Jamil who is the son-in-law of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in a tweet on Friday averred that the purmishment for blasphemy is death.

This comes in the wake of the anger over the death of Deborah Samuel, a Christian girl in Sokoto State who was stoned to death and burned for supposed blasphemy by some of her Muslim classmates.

Nigerian politician and Tonto Dikeh’s ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri is currently in the news after he took to a live session on Instagram to lament over the fact that the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA demolished his mansion.

He lamented bitterly during an his Instagram live session while capturing the aftermath of the demolition of the gate and fence to his house.

According to the politician, he does not know the reason that his building was brought down as there was no prior notice to that effect.

Seemingly reacting to the post, Tonto Dikeh took to her page to write;

When you mess with the wrong woman, you get all you deserve.

Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi has admitted that she cheated on her estranged husband, Justin Dean, before they got married.

The mother of two made this revelation alongside her sister, Nancy Umeh, in a live video session.

Narrating her side of the story concerning their marriage woes, Korra opposed being a chronic cheat and explained it was a one time affair, while also alleging that her husband has an 18-year-old mistress.

“Most of you have heard one side of the story, its time for you to hear my side of the story. I’m not a chronic cheat, I’m far from a chronic cheat. I’m just a woman who was honest to her husband.

“Umm before I came to America, it was during the Trump’s tenure, I was very indecisive about moving and I tasted from Pandora’s box; I had an affair. That affair lasted like one date, I feel bad about it but I had not moved to America.

“Up on getting to America, I was very very sad that I had made that mistake with the guy. I told him the truth, I said “hey, I had an affair in Nigeria and I don’t want us to ever have secrets,” Korra Obidi revealed.

In a new development concerning the battle for child custody involving exotic dancer, Korra Obidi and her husband, Justin Dean, the latter has accused his wife of having an affair while she was pregnant with their child.

In an IG live video session recently, Justin revealed that he has evidence to show where his wife while pregnant, opened up about having ‘threesomes’ with some Nigerian singers.

In the video, he mentions two Nigerian singers that his estranged spouse was sexually involved with — according to him he discovered from chats with other people, about his wife’s entanglement with Nigerian entertainers, Peruzzi and Slimcase.

Justin Dean also revealed that he never assaulted Korra as he shares proof of a chat where she confessed to lying about the domestic abuse.

Justin in the video, stressed on how Korra threatened to hurt their child and damage his career enough to have his license revoked.

A couple of days back, Korra Obidi’s elder sister, Nancy Umeh took to Facebook to read a cease and desist letter her sister’s estranged husband, Justin Dean sent to her through his lawyers to warn her to stop defending her sister online.

According to Nancy, she encouraged the dancer to stay in an “abusive” marriage with Justin Dean and so she apologised for this.

She also accused her sister’s estranged husband trying to shut her up for defending her family.

Nancy further revealed that that when she travelled abroad to do Omugwo after Korra welcomed her first child, she observed that Korra’s money went into a joint account she has with Justin and it did not seem right

President Buhari condemns killing of Christian student by a mob in Sokoto state over alleged blasphemy

President Muhamamdu Buhari has condemned the brutal killing of a Christian student by a mob in Sokoto state over alleged blasphemy.

Presidential aide, Garba Shehu on Friday May 13, disclosed that the President stated that no one has the right to take laws into their hands.

The statement read;

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT BUHARI REACTS TO SOKOTO KILLING LINKED TO ALLEGED BLASPHEMY, SAYS VIOLENCE DOES NOT SOLVE PROBLEMS

President @MBuhari strongly condemns the resort to self-help by the mob in sokoto, resulting in violence, destruction and killing of a second year student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, Deborah Samuel, following an allegation that she had blasphemed Muhammad (SAW), the Prophet of Islam on Thursday.

President Buhari said the news of the killing of the young lady by fellow students was a matter of concern and demanded an impartial, extensive probe into all that happened before and during the incident.

The President noted that Muslims all over the world demand respect for the Holy Prophets, incl Isah (Alaihissalaam,Jesus Christ) & Muhammad (SAW) but where transgressions occur,as alleged to be the case in this instance,the law does not allow anyone take matters into their hands.

Moreover, religious leaders preach that it is not for the believer to judge the actions of another person. The constituted authority must be allowed to deal with such matters when they arise.

“No person has the right to take the law in his or her own hands in this country. Violence has and never will solve any problem.”

President Buhari also directed the Ministries of Information and Culture, Police Affairs and that of Communications and Digital Economy to work with GSM providers and Tech companies to help contain the spread of false and inflammatory information through social media.

The President extended the nation’s condolences to the family of the deceased student and wished all those injured a quick recovery. He commended the immediate response to the incident by the Sokoto State Government and urged religious and community leaders to call citizens’ attention to the need to exercise the right to freedom of speech responsibly.

President Buhari called for tempered comments by the media and calm among the general population while investigation is ongoing to find out the remote and immediate causes of the incident.

A lady was apparently gloating when she made a video to show the tired state she left a man in after she’d warned him about getting knocked out if he engaged in coitus with her.

The lady made a video showing a quite tired-looking man, sweating and panting on a chair as she revealed that the coitus they’d just had was what left him in that state.

According to her, she’d warned him of getting knocked out prior to their intercourse but the said man refused to believe and went on to have coitus with her.

In the video, she’s seen trying to give him water to drink but due to his tired state, he couldn’t even take a sip — gloating about this, the lady then goes on to say she’s ‘done’ him to the point where he can’t even drink water.

In other news, a 24-year-old self-acclaimed sidechic made a video of herself bragging about sleeping with other people’s fathers as guys have refused to marry her.

She recorded herself in what she claims to be an hotel bed after just sleeping with a purported old man — in the video, she’s heard hailing women of her kind who indulge in sleeping with older men.

She justifies sleeping with other people’s dad because guys have refused to marry her and at her age, 24, she doesn’t even at the very least, have a boyfriend — she then goes further to threaten that she’ll ask her sugar daddy to disown his son because “he’s rude”.
