A woman who didn’t know she was pregnant, has given birth in a hospital toilet and nearly flushed the baby down the drain.

The 23-year-old student, identified as Lalene Malik, was rushed to Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, London, by her family after she complained of an intense stomach ache at their home in Greenford, west London, on March 26.

According to Lalene, she had been taking contraceptive pills for months because she was not planning to have a child yet, and took two pregnancy tests in February 2022 which came out negative, so she thought the stomach ache was constipation.

While waiting at the hospital, Lalene went to the toilet and her mother, Sumra, said she heard her screaming in pains while using the toilet and called the doctors.

As Lalene was about to flush the toilet, she noticed a tiny arm in the toilet bowl and raised alarm. It’s believed that the baby may have been in the toilet for seven seconds before being rescued by medics.

The medics said the baby looked lifeless and was not breathing, but thankfully, they were able to resuscitate him.

Lalene said, “I was gone. My mind was blank. I was put in another room because obviously I was crying and my mum was crying.

“It was a complete shock and a trauma for both of us and I felt that my life was in danger.

“(My mum) started crying and (said) to me: ‘Don’t you know you have a baby?’ From then on I was pale.”

The baby who has been named Mohammed Ibrahim, was born full-term and is now healthy after he was given oxygen and monitored by doctors.

An A&E registrar at the London hospital, Dr Ewa Grocholski, said she has never seen a baby born in such circumstances and it was the “most amazing experience” of her medical career.

“I’ve seen young ladies like Lalene before coming to A&E not knowing they’re pregnant and delivering in the A&E department, but it was always in a more safe place,” she added.

The new mom said her son is a “miracle baby” but accused her family doctor of not conducting enough tests on her to detect that she was pregnant.

“If I had known I was pregnant, I would have cherished those moments going shopping, getting stuff ready for the baby,” she said.

Lalene’s husband wasn’t in the country at the time and was in utter shock when he learnt about his son’s birth.

A Nigerian woman, Iyanu Ojo is currently battling for her life after her husband doused her with hot water during a scuffle at their home in Ondo state.

It was gathered that following the incident, the house wife was rushed to Owo general hospital, in Ondo State where she’s currently receiving treatment.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple had a disagreement in their home, and in anger, the husband went into their kitchen, boiled water, and then doused it on his wife. He reportedly fled the scene immediately, leaving his wife in so much pain.

Reacting, the wife of the state governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, described the incident as bestial and intolerable and vowed to get justice for the victim.

The first lady, stated in a statement that people who commit such horrific acts under whatever pretence do not deserve to live among humans.

“The spate of spousal violence in the country is disturbing and regrettable. It is recurring and requires sterner actions. The narrative is both sad and sour. We cannot continue like this and just cannot afford inertia. Women should, at once, accept the fact that it is foolhardy to indulge abusive spouses to the detriment of one’s mental and physical health.

Why die in an abusive marriage? Women should speak up against abuse and possibly walk out of deleterious relationships. Let me restate it unequivocally that Ondo State will not be a haven to abusers, irrespective of who is involved. In this instance, the Ondo State Agency Against Gender-Based Violence (OSA- GBV) is already involved in the handling of the matter, and I can assure you that justice will surely be served.” the statement read

Rumour has it that Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has packed out of her new husband, Kazeem Adeoti better known as Adekaz’s house barely three months after the wedding.

The thespian reportedly moved out of their matrimonial home because his first wife, Funsho, who is based abroad, is coming back to Nigeria soon.

She is said to have returned to her own house, however, it’s unknown if she and her new husband are having marital crisis.

A journalist, identified as Eniola Daniel, took to his verified Twitter page on Thursday, April 14, to give this update.

He tweeted, “Barely 3 months, after marrying Funsho Adeoti’s husband, Kazeem Adeoti, a.k.a Adekaz, popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has reportedly packed out of her new husband’s house.

A lady was bewildered to find herself in a group chat created by her admirer’s wife, alongside eight of his other alleged side chics.

The lady with handle @BriEsquire, took to microblogging platform, Twitter, to reveal that it was a mixture of comedy and chaos on the said group chat.

According to her, she and the other ladies didn’t know the intent of the group chat at first until they connected the dots and realized that the group was created by their “mutual friend’s” estranged wife.

However, @BriEsquire didn’t reveal in details what was discussed in the group.

Police locate first year student who went missing after allegedly spending his tuition fees on sports betting

A first-year student at Kyambogo University in Uganda, Julius Osuta, who went missing after allegedly spending his tuition fees on sports betting, has been found.

The story of the missing first-year statistics student flooded Ugandan social media and news outlets on April 7, 2022.

It was later alleged that Osuta went missing after spending his tuition fees on sports betting and that he went into hiding due to fear and stress.

In a recent development, the Daily Monitor reports that police found Osuta at Arua Park, Kampala, on Thursday morning, April 14 and handed him over to his parents.

In other news, a Nigerian man has reportedly died days after catching his girlfriend cheating on him with another man.

A Twitter user identified as Olukayode, while reacting to a post of a man narrating how he landed in the hospital following a heartbreak, recounted how he lost his friend who had a similar experience.

“I’ve been hospitalized because of heartbreak before. I met her on the bed riding another guy and moaning and sweating and riding so hard. It’s wasn’t a joke. It was so painful and hard to deal with for months.” The tweet read.

Reacting, Olukayode, said his friend walked in on his girlfriend doing a blow job on another man.

Unfortunately, the heartbroken man, who was an asthmatic patient, passed out of shock and died a few days later.

“Lost a friend today on something similar he saw his girlfriend sucking another guy’s gbola on Sunday, the poor asthmatic patient can’t get over it cuz it was hard to believe ,even I can bet my life that she can’t do that to him. My guy didn’t wake toda”. He wrote.

Hypo formally commissions refurbished 8-units toilet at Lagos NYSC Secretariat

Following the recent launch of The Hypo Toilet Rescue Volunteer program at NYSC Orientation Camp, Ipaja, Hypo Toilet cleaner has gone another step further fulfilling its part of the agreements to officially commissioned a 8 units rescued Toilets at the Secretariat in Surulere for the benefit of the corp members and the management staff of the NYSC.

This project was recorded to be the first to be undertaken this year. The brand through its Community Development service initiative decided to transform the NYSC secretariat restroom to maintain sanitation and hygiene.

The camp director in company of other management staff along with the corp members present at the secretariat warmly welcomed the Hypo team while joining them in the tape cutting ceremony to declare the 8 units facilities open for use.

According to Mr. Chidera Anele, the brand Manager “the goal is to bring about a significant change and one vehicle we thought to work with is the National Youth Service Corp because collaborating with the NYSC Community Development Service gives us the leverage to reach communities, public schools, Primary Health Centers etc and see how we can transform their toilets”.

“Before we begin to enter communities, we thought to start the transformation from within, hence the NYSC secretariat facilities rescue. We provided good plumbing system to enable uninterrupted water supply, replaced the water cosets, carried out a complete facelift of the toilet environment to make it standard for use” Chidera stated.

Mr. Megwa Edwin, the State Coordinator, Lagos NYSC said “I’m particularly excited today, as this is a project, we all have been looking out for, seeking help from corporate organizations for over one and half years, which continuously proved abortive. Then, Hypo came in unsolicited to bequeath us with these unique gifts. We can’t thank the management enough.”

Currently more than 2,000 corp members have registered as volunteers under the toilet rescue project and are working hard to effect change in schools who don’t have decent toilet facilities, updates on this shall be provided in due time.

A young Nigerian lady known as Toyosi is currently trending for the wrong reason after she ‘chased clout’ on micro-blogging website, Twitter.

On Thursday, 14th April, 2022, Toyosi took to her Twitter page to cry for help that she was being raped and kidnapped. She further shared the number of her alleged abductor.

The Tweet went viral and well-meaning Nigerians pulled together resources to help rescue Toyosi…. hours later, Toyosi updated Twitter NG that she is “Fine”.

Her post was suspicious and people assumed she was being compelled to share the tweet by her kidnapper and they pressed further. This led to the police raiding and arresting the occupant of the house address that was retrieved from tracking the number she shared online.

Lo and behold, Toyosi made a video that she was entirely okay and she admitted that she raised a false alarm. Her sister in a viral whatsapp conversation corroborated the video as she claimed her sister (Toyosi) was catching cruise with the Rape alarm.

Toyosi’s elder brother also said she used the rape accusation to chase clout but didn’t know it’ll escalate to this, he’s so mad at her .

Following the death of popular gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, who reportedly died as a result of domestic violence by her husband, many women have shared their experiences at the hands of their abusive partners.

While posting a video from her 2009 wedding, relationship guru Blessing Okoro revealed how her ex-husband abused her the day before their wedding and still dragged her to the alter on the big day.

Narrating her story, Blessing noted that the death of the famous singer brought back her hatred and anger over how she had been abused in her marriage years before.

According to Blessing, her ex-husband, Lucky, “took away her youth at 15 years”. She further claimed that her younger sister was there when he allegedly beat her “to a coma” two weeks after their wedding.

Blessing, who tied the knot with Lucky when she was 19, got a divorce from him 2 years later, and the divorce was eventually finalised in 2016. She shared photos of her divorce documents while advising women to be financially independent because divorce is expensive in Nigeria.

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to warn young women against her abusive ex-husband.

The lady identified as Rael Gabriel alleged that her husband, Jamilu Gwarzala Dan-mutum, whom she tagged as abusive, recently stormed her mother’s house to pick up a fight with her.

Real went on to show the video which showed the moment Jamilu battered her in the presence of their daughter and her mother as evidence to corroborate her claim.

In the video, the woman is heard crying for help while her husband allegedly attacks her.

In a subsequent post, she revealed that their marriage would have been three years old by the 26th of this month, but she left her marriage over incessant domestic violence by her husband.

“So Jamilu Gwarzala Dan-mutum followed me to my mother’s house today, to come and fight me, he won’t look for his mates to fight o. I won’t keep quiet, let your sister or friend marry this person at her own peril. Let this be here as evidence.

“My mistake was I kept quiet, I didn’t have friends to even vent to, the one I vented to was rattle brained, rumors were being spread spoiling my name.
I was angry, I still get angry when I remember. Piling up anger is bad, Trauma is bad!!! I’m exploding mad cz this all brings memories. If you watched me very well, I never celebrated my first wedding anniversary.

It would have been 3 years on 26th of this month. I reported but was told it’s family matter, we should resolve it. Nigga told me nobody would ever believe me because he has a good reputation and friends in high places.” She wrote.

Gunmen kill Ebonyi businessman in front of his fiancé 9 days to their wedding

Gunmen said to be assassins have murdered an Ebonyi businessman, identified as Issac Nnaemeka Chukwu, nine days to his wedding.

According to reports, Chukwu was shot dead by the assailants in front of his fiancé, Favour Chioma Nworie, in Abakaliki, on Monday, April 11.

The deceased, popularly known as Ochudo, from Ikwo Local Government Area of the state, and Chioma, were set to wed next week.

Their traditional wedding was slated for the 21st of April at his fiance’s father’s compound in Ikwo, while the church wedding was slated for April 23.

A relative who quoted the fiancee, revealed that Chukwu was shot at night after closing one of his shops as he made to enter his car.

“He has a shop at International Market where he deals on provision goods. He owns another joint at Chukwuma Ofeke street Ameke Abakaliki.

According to the wife, the incident happened at about 9pm when they had closed shop and about to enter their vehicle.

“Some boys accosted them, first shot into the air, then ordered the guy to lie down and then shot him 3 times, collected the wife’s phone and left,” the source revealed.

One Egbo Grace, a former classmate of the late businessman, said he came to her office to proofread his wedding program the day he was murdered.

“Chai!! What a wicked world?? You were very healthy and happy when you came to proofread your forthcoming wedding program and jotter in my office yesterday that I asked you what the happiness was all about, you didn’t say anything but kept on smiling but I didn’t know it will be your last happy moment with me,” she wrote.

“When leaving my office yesterday after the proofreading, you promised to come back today and give us part of the money so that we will start producing the job as your wedding is in nine days time but late in the night, I received a call from one of your friends that someone shot you in your shop and you’re no more, I didn’t believe it until your wife called me at the early hour of today to inform me of your death

Africa’s table tennis star, Funke Oshonaike, has narrated her ordeal in the hands of two abusive partners.

In a post shared on her Facebook page, Funke shared how she was a victim of domestic violence in two relationships, one from a lover while she was in the US and the other was allegedly her ex-husband who she stayed with for 10 years before walking out of the marriage.

Funke shared her story while reacting to the news of the death of gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu.

I’ve been physically, emotionally and mentally abused by two different men and I know how it fell .

I had to run away from him with the advice of some wonderful people around me and the advice the police gave to me. I had to start my life back when I came back from Atlanta 96. My parents , friends , loved ones , pastor , church couldn’t help me. They all told me he will change, or I should change from my ways, I should pray and fast for him, I should be patient etc but not to leave .

This picture was taken the last time he laid his filthy hands on me , I took a knife to kill kill him, but I had to quickly dropped the knife , took a picture of me and ran to the police . That was the last time he touched me because he was warned by the police that if he ever touched me again, he will be seriously punished and he won’t come near me and my kids again .

I couldn’t because of his good other side, I couldn’t because of people around me, i couldn’t because I was helpless, I couldn’t because of you all out there , I just couldn’t because I was not only physically abused, but also mentally , and emotionally abused. I was totally lost . I was not a super woman like you!!

So my beautiful women out there that’s going through an abusive relationship or marriage , please I understand what you are going through. I know how hard it’s for you. Pls be strong right now and FLEE. Love yourself enough to know that you’re stronger, you will be fine . No man has the right to lay his filthy hands on you. Please I beg you, go away from him NOW! Let him go and sort himself out by going for a therapy or deliverance .

I was lucky to have survived 2 different abusive relationships, you might not! I had patience for more than 10 yrs with my ex but he never changed. I guess I should be blamed for that because I encouraged that for a long time. I was afraid of how to start my life all over again with my 2 kids. It was very hard for me from the beginning with all the expenses but I am happier today because I left.

This is just a tip of the iceberg with what I went through with my abusive relationships. More will sure come out by God grace in my autobiography coming soon by God grace .

‘It offends God and countless Catholics all over the world’ – Catholic groups push to ban release of new lesbian nun film

The Catholic church in Ireland has sought a ban on the release of a new film featuring a lesbian nun, because it ‘offends God‘.

The movie titled Benedetta, was directed by ‘Basic Instinct’ director, Paul Verhoeven and film company, Mubi, and is set to be released on the 15th of April – aka Good Friday.

The film depicts the story of a real-life 17th-century woman who becomes entangled in an affair with another nun in her convent, before their romance is discovered by the church.

The movie also appears to be marked by stigmata – the miraculous appearance of Jesus Christ’s wounds on a person’s body.

Loosely based on a true story, director Paul set his film on the 1986 non-fiction book Immodest Acts: The Life of a Lesbian Nun in Renaissance Italy.

The chosen date for the release of the film, which is meant for Easter coupled with the subject, means Benedetta was likely going to cause controversy among devoted Christians, who believe that being gay is a sin.

With the release just days away, a Catholic activist organisation is demanding the movie be pulled. The Irish Society for Christian Civilisation (ISFCC) says it wants to ‘STOP MUBI’s & Verhoeven’s Benedetta Movie (sic)’, describing it as a ‘smart smut attack on the Holy Catholic Church.’

The petition describes the film as ‘highly touted, blasphemous and impure’, declaring it ‘a shocking attack on Good Friday… which horribly insults Our Lady and her Son.’

Addressing distribution company Mubi directly, the petition reads: ‘I strongly oppose and condemn your distribution and promotion of Paul Verhoeven’s film Benedetta.

‘It offends God, and countless Catholics all over the world.’

The ISFCC urged fellow Catholics to sign the petition, which so far has over 13,000 signatures.

According to the ISFCC, Benedetta features ‘several Jesus-on-nun intense “make outs”, a statuette of Mary Most Holy used as a sex-toy (and) voyeuristic lesbian nuns’ “pornography”.’

The ISFCC called on filmmakers to ‘promote virtue, not vice.’ The movie has already been banned in Singapore but in the West has been met with favorable ratings according to reports.

A couple of ladies in a Facebook group specially for mums gave quite shocking replies to a group member who posted that her husband raped her 15-year-old daughter and she was in need of advice.

The lady who needed help revealed that she wants a dissolution of her marriage after she discovered her pedophile husband had been raping her 15-year-old daughter.

In response to her post, many mothers in the group called “Super Mums” urged her not to leave her marriage but rather punish her daughter for not screaming when she was raped and then send the teenager off to a distant place while she makes peace with her husband.

Late Osinachi’s Nwachukwu’s pastor, Paul Enenche, breaks his silence days after her passing

Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church Abuja and the clergyman of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, Paul Enenche, has broken his silence days after her sad death.

According to the Pastor, Osinachi and her husband came two and a half months ago to complain of a chest infection and he did his best as her pastor to get her medical help until she died.

He said it was after her passing that he discovered she allegedly suffered in the hands of her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.

The Clergyman also said when he asked Osinachi’s twin sister, her son, and even church members who knew about the physical abuse, they told him that late “Ekwueme” crooner would always beg them not to let the church leaders know what she was passing through and that she believed God will change him.

Pastor Enenche said that as a church they have zero degree tolerance for domestic abuse and wife battering of any sort.

Young Lady reportedly behe*ded in hotel room in Delta State

A young lady identified as Miss Adegor Rukevwe Sophia has passed away.

According to reports, the socialite was found dead in Palms Hotel Resorts, Ozoro, Delta State on Tuesday, April 12.

It is reported that her headless corpse was found in the hotel room and the incident reported to the police, The hotel manager who reported the incident alongside the workers who were on duty have been arrested while the deceased’s corpse has been moved to the morgue.

A Facebook user known as Akpodemewaro Ike shared photos of the girl and a screenshot of a whatsapp conversation that seemingly broke the news and wrote;

A Nigerian lady, Ada Uburu has called off her wedding just few days to the main day.

The church and traditional wedding ceremonies were scheduled to hold this week, on Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Amenu Uburu, Ebonyi State.

Ozioma took to her Facebook page today and said she called-off the wedding because her fiancé, David Okike, has allegedly been beating her and even threatened to kill her.

Hello Guys!!! I never wanted to bring this here but I have to, I am a type of person who likes to keep my relationship away from social media but this is for clarification purposes.

This was my secondary school classmate who I thought I knew to an extent. On December 28, 2020 he did the 1st and 2nd stage in my family marriage list which bride price happened to be on the 2nd stage which he paid. After he paid my bride price he started maltreating me.

2021 was hell for me that at some point I left home, after everything we settled around November 2021 which he promised he will never beat me again. But still nothing CHANGED.

It was a proud moment for Nollywood actress, Rosy Meurer, when a Turkish police officer stopped her at a mall to take a photo with her son, King.

The mother of one, who’s currently outside the country with her son, took to her Instagram page to share the encounter with the Turkish policeman.

She revealed she was at the mall with her little boy when the police stopped her. She said she first wondered what she had done wrong, only for the police to take out his phone and bend over to take a selfie with her son.

“King is my new fashion accessory That’s how Turkish police literally stopped me to take a picture with him. At first I was thinking “what did I do o” only for him to bend to king in his stroller and brought out his phone to take a selfie with KING CHURCHILL ”, the excited mum wrote.

Big Brother Africa star, Tayo Faniran, has revealed that he’s one of those who ignorantly believed English actor, Robert Powell, was Jesus Christ.

Tayo, who made this revelation while reacting to a video of the actor acting as Jesus Christ, said he tattooed the actor’s face on his body thinking he’s Jesus Christ.

According to him, he tattooed the face of Jesus on his arm only to recently realize that the image on his body was actually an actor who played the character, Jesus, in the 1977 movie, Jesus of Nazareth.

Expressing regret over his actions, he disclosed hat he plans to get rid of the tattoo by covering it with a different image.

Media personality, Daddy Freeze, also added that he was also guilty and once thought the image that people hung in churches and in their houses was the son of God.
