She further disclosed that Osinachi once left her matrimonial home for over a year due to her husband’s maltreatment, and only returned after he came with Pastors to beg her.

She also claimed that she advised Osinachi times without number to leave the marriage, but she refused, insisting that the Bible is against divorce.

They claimed that Peter maltreated Osinachi during her four pregnancies, and corroborated their mother’s claim that he didn’t allow her do Omugwo for her daughter’s children.

Nigerian pastor, Victor Ativie, has shared his encounter with the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu’s husband, Peter Nwachukwu, when she came to minister in his church sometime ago.

The clergyman, during a sermon in his church over the weekend, said Osinachi Nwachukwu’s husband, Peter, seemed to him like a canal man.

He alleged that when the Ekweme crooner came to his church in Benin to minister a while ago, her money was paid to her husband, but he allegedly hid the money and didn’t tell the singer about it.
“The man has killed her. Man without vision. Man that is jobless. Man that is lazy. She came to Benin to minister to us. As she came, she wanted to even stay till the next day but the pressure was too much. The man, the way he discusses money with you. He is too carnal.
I know that if a preacher comes, you should bless the person but you see, I don’t like when a thing is too physical. The way the man was discussing money will even make you hate the woman’s gift but the woman carries something that is too deep that you cannot ignore.
After they had negotiated and we have paid fully, the woman came, ministered and left. The evening after she left, she called me and said ‘Sir, did you send any love offering?’ We sent it one month before she came but he didn’t tell the woman. Evil man. He didn’t tell the woman that we have sent anything. We sent it one month before she came.” He said.

In the tweet, the Co-Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) advised single men and women to “shine their eyes” before walking down the aisle. According to her, it’s important to be sure of who one is getting married to because divorce is not an option after marriage.

She further stated that divorce is not an option at all as it has an adverse effect on the children and can affect them for the rest of their lives. She opined that the majority of wayward children in society today are products of divorced homes.
See the tweet below,

In a lengthy Instagram post, Georgina Onuoha, who had an entirely different option, tackled the clergywoman’s stance on divorce. Onuoha noted that views like this are the reason most men and women remain in abusive marriages and relationships.
“And to think this woman @drbeckyenenche and her husband are clinicians? Their medical license should be revoked. Sadly Nigeria is a failed state where people who should be protecting lives according to the hippocratic oath are the ones putting lives at risk because they hold megaphones.
Views like this are why many innocent women and men are dying in abusive relationships and marriages. This right here sickens my soul. The perversion of Christianity by the so-called women and men of God is scary. This woman right here should cover her face in shame. And you will still see people defending such rhetoric.
“My dear Ginafam, Leave to live if a woman or man subjects you to emotional, physical, or psychological abuse. There’s nothing Godly about dying in an abusive marriage or relationship. That is definitely not God’s plan for marriage. Nobody needs to die to receive any reward from heaven. It’s sickening how African culture has used religion to subjugate women since 1900”. She wrote.
