“Stop this noise of husband needs respect and wife needs love” — Simi’s mother, Jedidiah speaks on marriage
Mrs. Jedidiah Shola, the mother of popular singer, Simi, has negated the popular notion that men need respect and women need love.
Taking to her official Twitter page, she said everyone needs love and respect either male or female, and couples should endeavor to treat each other with it
According to her, love and respect are not mutually exclusive and people should stop repeating the maxim because it doesn’t hold water.
She tweeted:

“Wives also deserve trips to Dubai” – Aggrieved women protest against their husbands in Uganda (photos)
A group of aggrieved housewives came out en masse to protest the little upkeep money they receive from their husbands and a list of other things.
The women took to the streets of Kampala, Uganda on Monday, April 11 to stage a peaceful protest, airing their grievances against their husbands.
They complained about the small amount of upkeep money that their husbands gave them, the lack of appreciation they felt, and some of them stated that they deserved trips to Dubai.
In photos from the protest, the women were seen carrying placards with different phrases to express their dissatisfaction. “Wives also deserves visits to Dubai, our husbands are no longer eating at home,” some of the placards read.
According to the Daily Monitor, the women have been arrested and detained at the Central Police Station in Kampala. The Uganda Police Force said the demonstration was illegal.

Ms. Favour Made, the elder sister of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has shed more light on the controversy surrounding her sister’s death.
News of the death of the “Ekweme” singer broke over the weekend, with different accounts of the cause of her death. According to some accounts, the singer died of throat cancer, but intimate friends of the deceased soon discredited the story, claiming that she died as a result of domestic violence by her husband.
In an exclusive interview with Vanguard, the deceased’s sister, Favour Made, said her sister died as a result of a cluster of blood in the chest from the kicking she allegedly got from her husband, Mr. Peter Nwachukwu.
She added that the singer refused to get out of the abusive marriage despite several pleas from her family because she felt that God was against divorce.
“She did not die of cancer. The husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu hit her with his leg on the chest. All these while, he had been beating her but my sister hid all that she was passing through from us. Before now, we told her to come out of the marriage, we told her that they are not divorcing, that it’s just separation. But she felt that God is against divorce.
We told her that separation is not a sin but just for her to stay alive and take care of her children. She will always tell us to relax that the man will change. So, when the man kicked her on the chest, she fell down and he took her to the hospital but he did not even tell us. It was her friend who lives in Ebonyi state that called her twin sister, because Osinachi has a twin sister, to ask, ‘did your sister tell you that Peter hit her on the chest? the sister then told her no.
It was the hitting on the chest that killed her. My brother had to ask doctor what killed her and doctor said that there were clusters of blood on her chest. Unfortunately, they did not tell the doctor that she was kicked on the chest because; doctor could have known what to do if he had idea of what happened. Each time we talked to her, she will be pleading for peace and if we move to act, she will tell us no, that we should calm down”, Vanguard quoted Favour as saying.

Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo has on her social media page, mourned the death of her colleague, Osinachi Nwachukwu who was confirmed dead a couple of days back.
After the news of the death of the gospel singer, news began making the rounds that she was subjected to domestic abuse by her husband. Her colleague, Gospel singer, Frank Edwards also stated that an ‘unreasonable human’ put an end to her life.
Taking to her IG page to mourn the demise of her colleague, Mercy Chinwo shared a photo of the deceased and captioned the photo “IT IS WELL” followed by dove and heartbreak emojis.
While some of her followers also mourned in the comment section, a particular follower revealed that she has always being praying for the singer not to experience domestic violence in her marriage albeit she’s currently suffering the fate in her own marriage.

A Nigerian man has taken to his social media page to narrate how his heart got broken by his girlfriend to the extent that he got hospitalized.
According to the Twitter User known as Jaiyejeje, he walked in on his girlfriend actively engaged in a ROMP with another man and it left him distraught.

“This culture of oppression disguised as Christianity is not of God” – Ex-governor’s daughter, Orode reacts after pastor said Osinachi ‘suffered and died in the Lord’
The daughter of former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Orode Uduaghan, has tackled a popular social media pastor for his comment on gospel singer, Osinachi’s death.
News broke out over the weekend that the Imo State-born gospel singer died at the age of 42 as a result of domestic violence.
Newton, a popular clergyman who mourned her on Facebook, speculated that Osinachi may have stayed in the abusive marriage because God asked her to. He went on to state that she suffered and died in the Lord.
Reacting to his post, Orode Uduaghan, explained that domestic violence is not what the Bible meant by long suffering.
According to her, this is a culture of oppression disguised as Christianity and is not of God.
In her words,
“This is a problem, a real problem! This culture of oppression disguised as Christianity is not of God. Stop it! Stop it!. Her own cup of suffering was to be beaten not for Christ but from a man’s ego or whatever his excuse was. Stop it! So you think God is happy she died in a domestic violence situation? Winners Chapel pastor on the run after he allegedly broke his house help’s head in Delta
A pastor with Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, in Okuokoko, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, is currently on the run after he allegedly attempted to kill his teenage female house help.
According to SaharaReporters, Pastor Solomon Diya allegedly attacked his house help identified as Favour for using a tin of milk to drink garri.
Pastor Diya reportedly hit Favour on the head several times during the attack.
A member of the church alleged that the pastor and his wife have been known to abuse the house help multiple times.
A Warri-based human rights activist, Israel Joe, while speaking on the incident, condemned the pastor’s action, adding that when the issue was brought to his notice he directed that the girl be rushed to the hospital.
In his words;
“Pastor Solomon Diya has allegedly made attempt on the life of his home help on Tuesday, April 5. The issue was reported and we directed that the girl be rushed to the hospital.”
“The suspect has been invited by the police in Orerokpe but he’s invading arrest and if by Monday (April 11) he refused to turn himself up to the police, we shall obtain a warrant of arrest on him. When did using a tin of milk to drink garri constitute an offence of attempting to kill her?
“Can the pastor treat his own children that way if they also use his tin of milk? The mother of the girl arrived from Imo State today and we shall all ventilate our grievances accordingly. All the neighbours have complained how the pastor and his wife keep maltreating this girl. It will happen no more.”
Pastor Kumuyi explains why Deeper Life Church has embraced the use of television and social media
The founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has explained why his church has embraced the use of television, radio, social media and other technological inventions.
The 80-year-old clergyman in a video shared on Facebook by the Ekiti State chapter of the church on Sunday, April 10, revealed why his church has changed it’s age-long doctrine of not using technological gadgets over claims of them being a means to hell.
According to the octogenarian preacher, wicked people have been using technology to advance their evil agendas and now it’s time for the church to ‘wake up’ and use the same technology to propagate the gospel.
He however noted that Deeper Life church is late in adopting technology.
His words,
“Why are you the latecomer, why are you the one to be the last to use all these things that the people are using to make the world worse, we are going to rise up.
“Anything at the disposal of the people that are doing evil, we are going to take it away from them and use it for the propagation of the gospel. Let your NO be changed to YES,” he declared.
“People are getting new methods and they are doing evil. These are the last days and evil is growing worse because people go beyond using their natural strengths, natural technology, they use telephones, they use the media, they use all these connections, the Zoom and all these things to expand the evil they are doing.
“If those messengers of Satan are using the present-day technology and they are expanding, how about you? You will use those things available; they are not only available for messengers who do evil, they are available for the people that are doing good. You will use them.
“The church has been asleep. When radio began some years ago, people didn’t understand how voices would be coming out of a radio, and so the church at that time said, ‘No, we cannot use radio, there is something there that is magical, that is demonic, voice coming out from just a gadget?’ The church said no. Then, the people of the world began to use the radio. Then the church woke up.
“When television came, somebody somewhere performing drama, they see him on the screen and then the church said, ‘This is evil, these are the last days, look at them, bringing pictures on the screen and whatever they are doing somewhere’. And the church said, ‘No, we are not going to use that’ but later they woke up and they are now using the television.
“But now the church is waking up and we are seeing that that thing (technology) is to spread the gospel, for the word of God gets everywhere. We will be wiser than the people of the world. The Lord will wake us up.”
Kumuyi, who sparked mixed reactions in September last year after he arrived a crusade in Abuja in a private jet and limousine, added,
“Some people, when the aeroplane came, some people said, ‘We are not going to use aeroplane’ and they were riding on horses. The bicycle came and they said. ‘God has given us legs and if He has given us legs, why are we going to use bicycles?’
“Motorcycles came, car came and when the aeroplane came, they said, ‘God has given us the land; He has not given us the space and so all those people who are using aeroplane are worldly, are going to go to hell’. I am telling you what they said in those days but now, all those people, aeroplane has silenced them and now they can go anywhere.”

Controversial Nigerian relationship expert, Blessing Okoro has added her two cents into the controversial details entangling the death of gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu.
Following the confirmed death of the gospel singer, news began making the rounds that she was subjected to domestic abuse by her husband. Her colleague, Gospel singer, Frank Edwards also stated that an ‘unreasonable human’ put an end to her life.
In a post on her page, Blessing revealed that if Osinachi had left her husband, no church would invite her for song ministration. The relationship expert also averred that the late singer would have also been discriminated by the church if she had left her husband.

“Nigerian community wanted me to stay back with a man who was ready to kill me and my children” – Domestic violence survivor shares her story
A Nigerian woman, simply identified as Uchenna, who survived domestic violence has narrated how she left her matrimonial home and fled to her parents’ house with her children.
The mother of two shared her story while reacting to reports that gospel singer Sister Osinachi died as a result of incessant domestic violence.
Recounting what she went through in her marriage, Uchenna stated that when she finally summoned the courage to leave the abusive marriage, people blamed her for not begging her husband, and the average Nigerian community wanted her to remain in the marriage and be “submissive” to her abuser.
“Osinachi had been experiencing intense domestic violence and people knew. I saw some NDDC person, Frank Edwards and obviously influential people knew….but what did they do. The abuser still succeeded.”
Just this week, an adult male…a grandfather or soon to be one….blamed me for not begging my abuser. I told him he’d have preferred me dead and truly…. doesn’t it seem like what the Nigerian community and churches too want???
Because I don’t understand the level of ignorance that’ll make the situation all hush hush, instead of using it to preach strongly and warn and teach the church…of course the guy should be in jail while all these are going on.

In the video which emerged online, the suspected herbalist is seen putting the 30 BG boss photo in a black pot filled with different native herbs. Towards the end of the video, he was seen pounding an unidentified black substance in a mortar.
The man’s motives for doing this are unknown; however, rumours circulating in the comments suggest that he may be attempting to bring the singer down.
Concerned fans have trooped to the comment section to pray against the works of the wicked on their favorite.

The bridal shower was attended by the some of the female movers and shakers in the Nigerian movie industry including actresses, Joke Silva, Chioma Chukwuka, Michelle Dede, Ego Boyo, Ini Edo, Kate Henshaw, Dakore Egbuson-Akande and media mogul, Mo Abudu amongst others.

“Marriage is a fraud” – Man cries out after finding out his wife is in love with another man after 30 years of marriage
A heartbroken Nigerian man has taken to social media to lament bitterly after finding out that his wife of 30 years is in love with another man.
In a series of Twitter threads, the man narrated how he caught his wife, with whom he has four children, cheating on him with this other man. According to him, he left his marriage, and shortly after his wife and the man tied the knot.
He added that his now ex-wife and her new husband sued him for threatening her.
Narrating his predicament, he wrote in part,
“I am going through a lot right now after 30 years of marriage and four kids, found out the woman I lobed and still love was madly in love with another man. I left home for her and rented a room for myself now, my kids still come to see everyday at my office for their upkeep money. I’m two years out from my home she has married the same
man I caught her with”.

Osinbajo officially declares to run for President in 2023 (Video)
The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has formally declared his intention to run for President in the forthcoming 2023 election.
Osinbajo made this declaration in a short broadcast shared on his official Twitter page on Monday morning, April 11.
He captioned the video, “I am today, with utmost humility formally declaring my intention to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of APC.”
Speaking on his intentions to succeed his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, Osinbajo said in part,
“In this period of seven years, I have served in several capacities, representing the country in sensitive engagements. I have been to all local governments in the country, listening to the yearnings of our people. I know the hopes and aspirations of the people.
“I believe in these hope are the seed for the Nigeria we desire and the reason God gave me this opportunity and experiences is that they must be put to the use of the country which is why I declare my intention to run for office of the President under the All Progressives Congress.
“We must radically transform our security, completing judicial reforms and adequate remuneration of personnel and justice for all, rapidly advancing our infrastructural development. Ensuring rapid agricultural development to boost food insecurity while providing jobs for millions.”
Osinbajo’s declaration has stirred heat because APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, is also in the race for presidency under APC. Hence, the fight to secure the presidential ticket of the APC will be a fierce one.

Gospel artiste, Late Osinachi Nwachukwu’s husband arrested for suspected culpable homicide
The husband of gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been arrested by the FCT police command.
Mr Nwachukwu was arrested by men of the Lugbe police division yesterday April 10 after the brother of the late singer reported a case of suspected homicide to the police. This comes amidst reports he has incessantly subjected the singer to domestic violence.
According to some allegations made by her close friends/colleagues, the late singer was placed on life support after her husband kicked her on her chest during a recent attack on her.
The police confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing.
“I have not seen a man with 2 or 3 wives that has been stabbed to death” – Nigerian activist, Kola Edokpayi tells churches to adopt polygamy
Human rights activist and speaker at Edo civil society group, Talakawa’s Parliament, Kola Edkpayi, has asked churches to adopt polygamy so as to reduce the rate at which men are being stabbed to death by their sidechicks and wives.
In a post on his Facebook page, Kola opined that he’s never seen a polygamous man who got stabbed by any of his partners and that people shouldn’t be “bamboozled” by the doctrines of the “White man”.
He wrote on his page,
“I have not seen a man with two or three wives that has been stabbed to death by any of his wife. We have had so many cases of demented sidechicks killing their boyfriends, man friends and even a man with one wife had been stabbed to death,” he said on Saturday.
“We are calling on churches to adopt polygamy to reduce the rate at which men are stabbed to death by sidechicks and wives
“We should not be bamboozled by the white men who brought Bible with one hand and sword with the other hand to Africa to preach negatively about polygamy whereas they practice polygamy nicodemusly.
“Polygamy is the way forward for Africans and it is ordained by God and our ancestors”

“I can hardly keep up with her” – 35-year-old Kenyan man praises sxxual prowess of 70-year-old American wife
A Kenyan man, Bernard Musyoki, 35 has lauded the sexual prowess of his American wife who is twice his age.
In a chat with a local publication, Musyoki who married Deborah Jan Spicer in February 2020 after meeting on Facebook, stated that his wife is very active and romantic in bed.
“People have been asking whether I and my wife enjoy an intimate relationship… Yes, we do a lot. Actually she is ever ready. My wife is very romantic. She always feel 29, not 70,” he said.
“Deborah is very active sexually… I can hardly keep up with her.” he added.
The Kenyan man also shared that he was in three relationships which didn’t work before meeting Deborah.
“My first girlfriend we met in 2016. We lived together for about two years but she was very demanding,” he said.
“The second one was with a Luo lady in Mombasa…we lost contact when she travelled upcountry with a one-year-old little boy which I believe was my son. It’s been more than ten years now. I think wherever she is she got married.
Some months before he met Deborah, Musyoki revealed he was dating a German woman, a divorcee, who used to foot his bills.
“She was 50 when we met on Facebook back in 2016. She used to spoil me. She bought me a nice motorcycle and a mountain bike before we parted ways,” he said.
